Dismantling the myth of creation and the flood - Part 1 - Guest Speaker Mark Dinsmore

Mark Dinsmore leads a Bible study exploring Genesis 1–2:3 and argues for a literal six day creation, unpacking Hebrew terms like Elohim and tohu bohu while reading key passages that present God as Creator. He systematically challenges the gap theory, day age theory, theistic evolution, the Big Bang, and other modern myths such as the canopy idea and popular fossil and plate tectonics narratives, drawing on creationist scholarship including Henry Morris and Walt Brown. Dinsmore emphasizes teleological arguments from Psalm 19 and Romans 1 and cites numerous Old Testament texts that describe God stretching out the heavens to address astronomical observations and the universe's expansion. A former evolutionist who worked in Christian publishing, he frames the study as apologetics meant to strengthen us in confidence in Scripture and to prepare us spiritually as the signs of the age unfold.
