God's done a great thing in his life. Amen. Amen. Wants to share it for God's glory. Well, I've been going to wound care for I even forget the months or the years that I was there. But thank God, you know, I got I got relief. I believe it was last Thursday. And a week ago tomorrow. No way a week ago Thursday. A week ago Thursday. And so they released me, and I said, no more wound care. I'm probably gonna have two or three visits from home health, you know, to confirm that nothing's going to go nothing pops up. You know? But it says in the bible one zero seven, he sent his word and healed them. Of course, we know Jesus is the word, but also he didn't know that he sent the written word, but he's he sent Jesus Christ as the word. I just thank God that I can testify that that God is my healer and deliverer and strengthener and all the other ones. Right. Amen. Praise the lord. It's god who heals. Same yesterday, today, and forever. I also got a position possibly to be a song leader at a church. It's not it's not confirmed yet, but praise the lord. Oh, that'd be sweet. You know? Right. Right. That'd nice. Amen. Alright. Alright. Now Steve has Steve's gonna come pray for Kelly and everybody else. Come on, Steve. The spot, pastor. There you go. Come on. I like how you pray. You get down on your knees and Oh, boy. And could you pray for just pray pray for everybody? Yes. I can still get down on my knees. Thank the lord. Kathy's not feeling good. Who else needs prayer? Steve's gonna pray. Terry, do you need some prayer? Bernie? Yes. K. Just yes. God knows what all they need. Alright? Lord Jesus, we just come before you as your word says, when two or more are gathered in your name that there also you will be. And whatever they ask, if it be in your will, they will receive. And, Lord, your will is to prosper us and heal us. And, Lord, we come before you for Kelly, Lord, that Yes, Lord. To remove that problem with the high blood pressure and the headaches, Lord, that they might be just purged from her system, Lord, and from her head so she can have clarity of mind. We just ask the Holy Spirit to minister to her and give her new revelation, Lord, your revelation, Lord. And we do pray for Kathy too, Lord, and her foot, Lord, that Mhmm. You would just miraculously heal it, Lord. Bring bring a just bring a anointing on it right now that she would feel a tingling in there that may just go right through and make it like brand new, Lord. Just make it like brand new. Yes, Lord. Lord, you know that hurts and the needs of all those that are here that they always say unspoken needs, Lord. And yet we we all have needs that we desire you to help us with. And we do remember that Paul had that thorn in the flesh, which I can confirm that as far as keeping us on our knees, Lord. And but we thank you that we have you as our savior. We thank you that we have you to be our healer. We thank you that we have you to confirm our place in heaven and that our lambs are our names are written in the lamb's book of life. We thank you for that, Lord. I thank you for pastor Rick here tonight as he brings forth the word. I pray your holy spirit would be on him to bring forth the power of the gospel as you bring forth through your disciples in old times and you presently do it now today, Lord. So touch those that have a need and heal those that need to be healed and save those that need to be saved. Just bless this time we have. Holy Spirit come in and anoint this meeting in Jesus' name, through the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen. Alright. Thank you, Steve. Alright. So thank you, Thomas. We are in Ezekiel chapter 41. And who would like to explain the meaning by way of review? The meaning, because we're going from 40 to 48. Who would like to explain the meaning of the millennium? Do you guys remember? Mhmm. If somebody told you, hey. There's no millennium, how would you respond? It's a time of I should a thousand years. And where can you point that to them? How do you know? We we talked about millennium, thousand years. It's Latin mille means a thousand, and annus Anmus a year. So a thousand years. So where do you find that? Revelation 20. Revelation 20. And mentioned six times there in Revelation 20. Right? A thousand years. Thousand years. Thousand years. Thousand years. Is that literal thousand years, or did it already happen? Is it not gonna happen? Is it allegorized? What is it? And and chronologically, what where are we now? We're in the time of the church. Church age. And when did the church age start? Pentecost. And when does the church age end? Rapture. Rapture of the church. What's the period of time after the church age? Seven more tribulation. 77 of Daniel. Right? Time of Jacob's trouble. When does that start? Signing of peace treaty. Signing of peace treaty, Daniel September '27. Right? Doesn't start with the rapture. So there could be a gap there. The rapture could happen today, and the peace treaty could be signed two years from now, ten days from now. You know, we don't know. But once that's signed, then the midpoint of the tribulation period is twelve hundred and sixty days in. Right? The end of the tribulation period is twelve hundred and sixty more days. So you got seven years, three and a half three and a half, forty two months, forty two months. And what happens at the end of the seven year tribulation period? Christ return. The return of Jesus. And where's that at in the bible? Revelation. Revelation 19. So when people tell you historically, all of a sudden, a whole lot of AI stuff's going on, and a lot of churches are mixing in a lot of quote, unquote history. And, you know, the Romans came in through this gate, and Jesus came on the donkey through this gate, you know, and, oh, it sounds really intriguing. History. Can't argue with history. You know? So what happens when people tell you historically that all this happened in seventy AD? How is it that What happened in seventy AD? General Titus surrounded Jerusalem, destroyed the city. Right? So if you're reading Matthew 24 and Jesus is talking about signs of, you know, these things happening, did it happen in seventy AD and we're done with it? Or No. Is it future during the tribulation period? Future. Future. So some of what he said when he saw the city surrounded and and people flee into the Giandia Mountains, some some happened to that generation that was there, but others of it is gonna happen during the tribulation period. And so there were those that listened to Jesus that fled the city before the siege was upon it. We know historically. And then others, over a million Jews died because they didn't get out. So there was a siege put upon them. And so but to just say that it all happened in seventy AD and there is no millennium and we're in the church age and we're just waiting for Jesus to come back, well, what happens after the millennium? Revelation twenty one and twenty two, the eternal state. Right? New heaven, new Earth. Right? New Jerusalem. So as we're here in this passage here, we're gonna we're gonna read this literally. And it sounds like God is an architect. It sounds like he's an engineer. It sounds like, you know, he's a builder. He's a doctor. He's a doctor, but not in this context here. I don't I mean, maybe. He's always healing people. Right? Right. But why lay this out so intricately, so so much detail because it's important. If it's just allegorical. It's important. If it doesn't matter. You know? You spiritualize it, or is it real? Alright. So, father, we pray that you would be our teacher tonight, that we thank you give us a love for the scriptures and a love for truth, and that you lead and guide us in all truth by the moving and working of your holy spirit, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Alright. So 41. Ezekiel chapter 41. Afterward, he brought me to the temple. So Ezekiel's been up in a time machine like and and he's brought to the temple in the spiritual realm with an angel showing him like John the revelators as John was also come up hither in in Revelation chapter four verse one and show him things, and he was able to see the the things ahead of the tribulation period. So the temple and he measured the posts six cubits brought on the one side and six cubits brought on the other side which was the breath of the tabernacle. And remember last week we talked about we had a diagram, we had picture, and we posted Vicky's posted on our website videos, and I posted one on the Calvary Chapel Bremerton Facebook page, a three-dimensional mock up of the millennial temple. So when we're talking about the temple, we got the first temple period which is Solomon's Temple. We have the temple being destroyed in May. We have a a rebuilding of that of that temple, which was Zerubbabel, Nehemiah, Ezra, and Joshua. So the they call that the second temple period, the rebuilding of it. And king Herod the great in the time of Christ continued to build the temple about fifty years into it. And and that's why when Jesus said destroy this temple in three days, I'll raise it up. They were saying, fifty and some years in the building of this temple, you know, and you're gonna, you know, tear this thing down and raise it up in three days or three days. So they were thinking literally. Then later they realized he was saying, oh, destroy his body. And we just studied that. We celebrated the resurrection. Destroy this temple. In three days, I'll raise it up. So so the second temple period ceased in seventy AD when the Romans surrounded it and destroyed. Jesus said not one stone remain upon another. So then there's another temple that's gonna be rebuilt because Jesus said in Matthew twenty four fifteen, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place, well, there's no holy place right now. There's no temple. But the Jews are getting together all of the implements and the training and the ashes of the red heifer and what we would call today the Antichrist Temple, the temple of the tribulation period. And and so then after that period of time, when when the lord Jesus returns, he's not gonna he's he's not going to rebuild that temple. There's gonna be a new temple that's rebuilt, and when we looked at the dimensions last week, the temple area is gonna need to undergo Zechariah 14, some major earthquake type changes there on Mount Zion on the top because it's not large enough now, and so the temple area would be a mile square, the precinct area, and the city part 10 mile square. And so a very large temple area and the whole world's gonna going to converge and come there year by year to that thousand year rule and reign of Jesus. So a literal temple, a literal king, literal Israel in the land, David as a prince, so many prophecies, Old Testament prophecies that didn't get fulfilled in the first coming because Messiah was cut off are gonna be fulfilled. And we saw Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven, Israel being reborn. Remember that? Yep. Unprecedented history outside of the outside of the country for over two thousand years and in the valley of dry bones, god breathing life into him, then the unconditional covenant. Israel, we see the apostle Paul, Romans nine ten eleven answer the question concerning Israel. What about Israel? Israel's past election in chapter nine, Israel presently, their present rejection, and then chapter 11 of Romans, Israel's future restoration. So blindness in part is happened unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles come in. So we differentiate between the church and the nation of Israel. The church is Jew, Gentile, male, female, barbarian, Scythian, bonder free, whosoever will let them come. But by and large Gentile starting out Jewish. So the priority is to the Jew, but we as Gentiles have been grafted in to the true vine and and then there's a day where the lord's gonna open the eyes of the nation of Israel. So when you're in Matthew 24 when you see the word elect you don't interpret the word elect as pertaining to the church. You interpret it as except those days be short and no flesh be saved. But for the elect's sake the context is that election of that one third remnant Zechariah thirteen eight nine two thirds of the nation of Israel is gonna perish during the tribulation period. You're gonna have 12,000 from each tribe of the 144,000, and you're gonna have a a one third remnant preserved through the tribulation period that come through the time of Jacob's trouble and their and god says he's gonna refine them as silver is refined. And we see them at the area of Southern Jordan today there of ancient Moab, the Edomites, Basra, Mount Seir, Petra, and and they're not gonna see the lord Jesus. And I know I know somebody's daughter that knows this one. Blessed is he that comes in the name of the lord. Right? I used to hear her say that all the time. Yeah. Right? Yeah. I guess it doesn't apply anymore. Right? So what a day. What a day. So anyway, and then the Lord Jesus, he rescues them before the antichrist and his armies can converge and destroy him. And and then there's a seventy five day interval according to Daniel chapter 12. Blessed is he that comes at thirteen hundred and thirty fifth day. And so there's gonna be some time of transition. The Matthew 25 separation from the sheep and the goats and getting things ready for the millennium. What starts the millennium is what? Signing of the peace treaty. No. That's the tribulation period. I'm sorry. I'm The marriage supper. The marriage supper. So the marriage supper, the friend of the bridegroom is the nation of Israel, John the Baptist. Right? But the church has the marriage supper. The nation of Israel is the wife of Jehovah. The church is the bride of Christ, and there's a marriage supper there, a celebration, and and then we're gonna see two different arms or what do you call it? One arm of government that's gonna be for the Gentiles where the church we're gonna rule and reign with Jesus and help help govern as he's gonna rule and reign with the rod of righteousness in that government that he's gonna set up. The Mosaic law is not the law that he utilizes. There's kingdom law, which is different. Includes some of the old Mosaic law, like don't murder. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. And then the second branch, that's the word I was looking for. The second branch of government is the Jewish branch of government. We're living at a time what's called the times of the gentiles. What's that mean? Gentiles rule. Gentiles have been dominant ruling over the nation of Israel since since when? Since Pentecost. No. After the Think of the book of Daniel. Oh, yeah. Since since Babylonians. Yeah. When the Jews they were once united, then they were divided. The 10 northern tribes, then you got Judah the southern. So in July, the Assyrians destroyed the 10 northern tribes. In May, god used the Babylonians, a Gentile dominant global world empire, to subdue the nation of Israel and to bring them in captivity for seventy years. And then after that seventy years, as we studied in the book of Daniel, we saw that in Daniel two, the picture of Nebuchadnezzar's statue, 90 foot tall statue, the feet of clay, iron mixed with clay, and the head of gold. The head of gold is the Babylonians. Right? The chest of silver is who? The Medes and the Persians. So in Daniel chapter five, we see that Cyrus, Persian, and Daniel or Darius the Mede that they surrounded the city of Babylon. The city of Babylon belted Shazar, the grandson of of Nebuchadnezzar was partying, and he was using the implements and the goblets and the bowls and the all the stuff that they took out of the temple when they destroyed the temple in May, and then the finger of god's writing on the wall and your kingdom's over. You wait in the balance found wanting. Your kingdom divided and given to the Medes and the Persians. And so so that very night, Belteshazzar died and the and historically, if you love history, you could even watch this, the Medes and the Persians figured out to reroute the Phrades River and and diverted it. And then the soldiers went in underneath the gates, the metal gates, on a bend of the city, and the city was taken in one eye. Then after that, after the world dominance of the Medes and the Persians, what came after the Medes and the Persians? Greeks. Pardon me? The Alexander the And historically, we know that's true too. Right? And and after Alexander the Great, who'd we have then? Roman. Alexander the Great, his kingdom divided into four different regions, right, with his generals, right, continued for a period of time. And this was a time with a Taeke's Epiphanes and the desecration of the temple with a pig and all that. And that's the abomination of desolation symbolic of when the Antichrist does the same thing. And then as Rob said after that is the Romans, and the Romans subdue the Greeks and there's a fourth governing world empire dominant over the Jews at the time of Christ. The Jews are looking for they're in their land, but they're looking for a conquering messianic king and they didn't see the Isaiah fifty two fifty three, Psalm 22 king that would be cut off, that would be crucified. Right? They didn't see him And and they have a hard time with Isaiah fifty two and fifty three. Now somebody told me yesterday that the passion of the Christ, the movie the passion of the Christ, previously started out with Isaiah fifty two and fifty three. Right? Reading of it. But now they x that out. Right? Why is that? Was it offensive to the Jews? Maybe. Right? So that's a good place to start. So the the Roman Empire in 03/13 Constantine nationalized the church and the Roman Empire split to East West and he began to rule from Constantinople which is present day Istanbul, and the Roman Empire gradually fizzled out so to speak. And but the the empire, the new one that's coming is a rebirth of the old Roman empire. So that'll be the the government of the antichrist is a rebirth, and and it's it's new in the sense of or or similar, the rebirth of the Roman empire, in that it's going to be an empire. It's going to be empirical. And so it's going to have 10 toes, 10 crowns, 10 kings, and it's going to cover the entire globe, again, a world governing empire. And that particular empire when Jesus returns he's going to destroy that empire, wipe it out, the Antichrist is going to be destroyed with the brightness of the coming of Jesus and the sword of his mouth, And the antichrist and the false prophet are gonna lie in the street there near Petra and and the devil's gonna be taken by an angel and put into the abyss and Jesus is gonna set up his kingdom and he's gonna rule and reign for a thousand years. And that's the end of what we call the times of the Gentiles. The nation of Israel's in the land and they they still don't have, you know, global global dominance. They're in the land. They have a certain degree of sovereignty, and they have sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem, but they still have, you know, the meddling of the United Nations and other groups that won't allow them to rebuild the temple, you know, in Jerusalem because of the concern of the Arabs. And so part of what we see coming is an accord, the Abrahamic Accord, where president Trump and his son-in-law and others are trying to make with Saudi Arabia make a new covenant with the nation of Israel where they would be able to rebuild their temple. And and then a new religious system of Judaism and apostate Christianity and Islam that would also coexist during the tribulation period. That's probably involved in there. So that's kind of an overview of where we're headed, where the past, where we're at, where we're going, and that makes this important because when Jesus returns in chapter 19 of the book of Revelation, the next epoch. He says, behold, I'm with you always. Even the end of the age, he's gonna eat with us and return at the end of the church age. The next age after that is the millennial age, the kingdom age you've heard it called. Now it's not the seven mountain mandate that Paula White's trying to get people to believe in or a golden age like they're trying to get people to believe in that's gonna be ushered in by all these different wackadoodle church groups, politics, everything. It's gonna be legit. The Lord Jesus returning and setting up his kingdom. Okay? And and in that kingdom, there's gonna be a temple and we call it Ezekiel's temple from chapter 41 to 48. Next week we'll get into more of the governing part of it. But so afterward he brought me to the temple and he measured the post six cubits brought on one side, six cubits brought on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle and the breadth of the door was 10 cubits and the sides of the door were five cubits on the one side and five cubits on the other side. And he measured their length 40 cubits and the breadth 20 cubits and then he went inward. So the inward part of the picture of the temple and then he's gonna come to with the outward side and then there's gonna be a building b. They're gonna have some adjacent buildings, some outbuildings also in the temple precinct area and inward and measured the post of the door two cubits and the door six cubits and the breadth of the door seven cubits. Now are you guys following along? Can you picture that and vision? No. You can't. You can't envision it. We need a diagram. We need to see this. I mean, that's why it's so nice to have a model to look at because it's really hard to to track this and follow this. But it's okay. Models are are available. So he measured its length 20 cubits and the breadth 20 cubits before the temple, and he said unto me, this is the most holy place. So you got the most holy place, the most holy place. The veil of the temple is renting too. Right? We have access to the most holy place, you and I. Right? We can boldly come before his throne of grace. There's no veil gonna be here in this most holy place, the holy of holies. So then he measured the wall of the house six cubits and the breadth of the every side chamber four cubits and round about the house on every side. And so there's some side rooms, about 90 different side rooms, and these are storage areas. Everybody needs storage space. You know? And some of us are hoarders and we need more space than other. But then he measured the wall of the house six cubits and the breadth of every side chamber four cubits and round about the house on every side. And the side chambers were three, one over another, and so stacking of these and thirty thirty thirty, so 90 of them, and and 30 in order and entered into the wall which was of the house for the side chambers round about that were might have hold but they had not hold in the wall of the house. And there was an enlargement on this side of the chambers as they rose higher and higher of the rising of the house continued upward roundabout and so there's a spiral staircase, these three different levels going up. Guys like a spiral staircase? And so they rose higher and higher for the rising of the house continued upward and round about the house therefore the breath of the house continued upward and so one ascended from the lowest chamber to the highest part of the middle chamber. When we had the Roxy Theater down in the green room there was a spiral staircase and you could go up it and you could get to the main floor and then you could go up it even higher and you could get above the ceiling up to the roof. And so it was a wonderful iron type spiral staircase, gave you great access. We have a slide too. No slide there. Slide was next door. Yeah. Alright. So they send it up from the lowest chamber to the highest by the by the middle chamber. I saw also the height of the house roundabout. The foundations of the side chamber were full of reed of six great cubits, about a 100 cubits tall, and the thickness of the wall which was for the side chamber on the outside was five cubits and that which was left was the place of the side chamber that were within and between the chambers was the wideness and 20 cubits and round about the house on every side. And the doors of the side chamber were toward the place that was left, one toward the north, one toward the south, and one and the breadth of that was left was five cubits roundabout. And so three different openings. Now the building, the temple, now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the, west was seven cubits broad and the wall of the buildings was five cubits thick roundabout and the length of 90 cubits. But none of this matters because we're just gonna allegorize it. We're we're just gonna spiritualize it. Okay? None of this really is gonna happen. It's just it's it's symbolic. So you interpret what you think you it means. What do you think it means? Anybody? What do mean? Mean? You No. I mean, it's like if it's not real, what is it? You know? Is Elon Musk gonna do one on the moon? You know? What what how do we know what truth is? I mean, I feel like Pontius Pilot. What is truth? The times we're living in, you know, there's such great deception and the just crazy. So 70 cubits broad and the wall of the building was five cubits thick roundabout and the length of it 90 cubits. And I feel like it's it's so disrespectful to God because in a time of idolatry people will take and they'll make a god out of wood and they'll make it out of metal. The great is Diana and they have these little golden gods that people bow down and worship, you know, and the Lord made us. And men make their gods in their own image. So they'll take and they'll say, alright, I'm gonna make this Buddha belly or I'm gonna make this statue, and the lord says, hey, they have eyes but they can't see. They got ears but they can't hear. They got a mouth but your gods can't talk, even have a throat and, you know, you can't talk. And how disrespectful that is to god that you're gonna bow down and worship the you know, he even he even goes along the lines of you go out and you have a tree there, and you cut down the tree, and the part of it you use for in your fireplace to warm yourself. Another part of it you use to cook with, and then the other part of it is you fashion your god. Yeah. You make your god out of it. You know? How disrespectful that is, you know, to the true living god. Now the image of the beast, you know, they're gonna come up with a whole lot of different chips and technologies and stuff. And some say that I don't know if this is true. You remember when the demons, they wanted to go into the pigs? They didn't wanna be unembodied spirits. Is it possible that demons could enter into that image of the beast, which may be made out of metal and chips and all other sorts of, you know, man made type type things? You know? And then somehow bring it to life. Oh, this is crazy. I read this this week where Brandon's gonna have to help me with it. I read this stuff, and I don't write it down. But a whole new computer that is alive, and it's got a six month shelf life. It's $35,000. And it's part of it's part of it's a human brain that they've taken, and they've they've linked it up to be the fastest you know, maybe this was total AI propaganda, and I've been stupid enough to believe it. But, you know I mean? You never really know what's true anymore. But, apparently, this the shelf life on this, it'll last only six months, $35,000, and part of it is made from a a human being utilizing parts of a brain to try and get that ship to be faster and faster and, you know, probably on the way leading toward the image of the beast. You know? They're they're moving in a direction of using CRISPR and all the different technologies they have, and they're being they're being led by demons, aren't they? They're being led completely by demons that are giving them this technology and so fascinating. So on the one hand, give the devil more glory with all the artificial intelligence, artificial light, artificial everything, but the true and living god gives out the the specs of a temple, just a building that he's gonna have built during the millennium. And people are like, no. That's not real. That that's not gonna happen. That's that's that's just allegorical. How about the Jensen's cartoon? There you go. So the broad in the wall of the building was five cubits thick roundabout and the length of it 90 cubits, so built like a fortress, 870 feet wide, a 170 feet long. So he measured the house a 100 and cubits long in the separate place and the building with its walls a 100 and cubit long. Also, breadth of of the face of the house of the of the separate place toward the east a 100 cubits, so a 175 feet. They measured the length of the building opposite the separate place which was behind it and its galleries on the one side and on the other side a 100 cubits, the inner temple and the porches of the court, the doorposts and the narrow windows and the galleries roundabout and they're three stories opposite the door paneled paneled with wood roundabout and from the ground up to the windows and the windows were covered. So you got window coverings, you got cedar paneling, you got furnishings and decking it out with paneling with palm trees and all. And if you look at the first let's see it's it's first Kings 06/29 when Solomon was building at Solomon's temple he had palm trees and he had cherubim carved into the into the cedar panels. So that above the door even under the inner house and the outside and by the walls round about within and without what's that say there? By measure. So when people talk about the big bang theory and everything that we see here, everything that we're touching this house, everything, Somebody had a had an explosion, and when the parts came down, it it formed my watch. My watch came out of it. Right? Just by random. Just random chance. This watch came together with an explosion. So the bang theory is that there was a huge explosion and then when all the parts and everything came down, that's how the earth was formed. No intelligent design. No intelligent designer. It just happened by chance out of a priority to lose, the evolutionary theory one way, or the big bang. But taking glory away from god, you know, in that he's a designer and he's intelligent and he and he you know, he's the one that came up with everything that we see, not even the things we don't see, the air that we breathe, the the amount of oxygen, the amount of nitrogen, every every everything has tolerances. Everything is by measure. He does everything decently and in order. Right? He's a god of order. So it isn't by chance, it's by measure. So to illustrate this how important this is that we need to be we're told to do everything decently and in order in the church. First Corinthians 14 verse 40. So what that means is is that if I'm a Corinthian Christian and I've got a gift of tongues, gift of prophecy, I've got a gift of teaching, got a gift of healing, got a gift whatever that gift may be in the body of Christ, and I'm in chapter 12 and I need order. I need what what's the proper order to exercise these gifts? You know, I need to identify what those gifts are and the proper usage. And then in chapter 13 of first Corinthians, I need the attitude, the proper attitude. I need to exercise them in love. And then in chapter 14, I get more definition, more instruction of like, for instance, if somebody's gonna speak in an unknown tongue of a man or of an angel, you know, he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men but unto god. So that tongue is directed toward god, not toward men. So what's the purpose in acts two? What was happening? There's 16 different dialects. Right? People hearing the wonderful things of God directed toward God. Tongues are directed toward God. Prophecies directed toward man. So what if I'm in a church service and I get interrupted as a pastor and all the tongue people and the flat earthers and everybody start interrupting me. What am I supposed to do? Paul says, hey. Only one person, two, and that needs to be by course, meaning give each person a chance, don't everybody speak at once, and you need someone to interpret. And when they interpret, don't listen to them if they start saying, oh my children because it's not directed toward you. It's directed toward god. So they should be hearing, if it's proper interpretation, god, you're wonderful. We love you. We praise your name. It's directed toward him. It's not directed towards. So he that speaks an unknown tongue edifies himself in your prayer closet. So you take that prayer language and you go into your prayer closet, and you're gonna edify yourself. Now sometimes you're speaking things you don't even know what you're saying, but your faculties don't you know, I don't speak French. I don't speak this this angelic language, but I'm still gonna worship the lord in this language because I'm edifying my spirit. I'm built up within in my spirit as I'm exercising by faith. So there there's there's some parameters laid out by the apostle Paul because this church of Corinth was so gifted and now he's trying to give them parameters. And he concludes in first Corinthians 14 verse 40, everything's to be done decently and in order. God is a god of order. Satan is the author of confusion. Right? So let's let's look at an example of how important this is that we understand this by turning to I'll have us turn to first chronicles chapter 13. Let's go to first chronicles chapter 13. Uzzah was a was a little bear. Uzzah was a Uzzah was. Uzzah Uzzah, then Uzzah was a not anymore. First Chronicles 13. Okay. Now doing a right thing in a wrong way. Do everything decently in order. Right. So I try to maintain order at the church. Pretty orderly guy. Right? Yeah. I try to start right at 10:00, 10AM. I'm known for that. And I did this Sunday. I did this Sunday. Okay? Right off guard. Right. I gotcha. I gotcha. So blessed are the flexible for they won't be broken. Now there's times where I'll say to worship leader or people helping or whatever, I'll explain to them the way I want something done. And they might decide they wanna do it different. They might decide they've had a better idea. Well, why don't you try that better idea at the new church you're going to? Right? That's great. So so But you will. Let's So, anyway, every now and then I have to give a look or I have to say something twice, three times, four times. It's not we just don't make it up every time we we show up at church. One of the important things is Lee Dunn listened to pastor Chuck teaching on giving recently as we were covering it. And Lee Dunn came up to me and says, I know why that you use that word receive. Because if any of the worship leaders ever say we're gonna take an offering now They run out the door. They don't get to be a worship leader anymore because Chuck doesn't like that. And I said, that's right. We don't take anything from anybody. We receive. It's free will. So I asked the worship leaders when they when they asked the ushers to come forward. Now we're gonna worship the lord in giving. Would the ushers please come forward and receive this morning tithes and offering? So there is a there is a structure. There is a reason why we do what we do. And but arbitrarily people might decide it doesn't matter. Now Uzzah and the boys thought, maybe it doesn't matter. We we need to get the ark of the covenant, and we need to get it back to Jerusalem for David. So let's get a cart. Yeah. Let's get a cart. We'll put it on top of a cart. It'll be a nice cart, really good cart, but watch what happens. And David consulted with the captains thousands and hundreds every leader and David said unto all the congregation of Israel, if it seemed good unto you and that it be of the Lord our God let us send abroad under the brethren everywhere who are left in the land of Israel and with them also to the priests and the Levites and in their cities and and pasture lands that they may gather themselves unto us. And let us bring again the ark of our god, the Philistines that had it, you know, and let us bring the ark, the ark of the covenant. Right? Great idea of us. And we inquired not about it in the days of Saul and all the congregation said that they would do so for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people. So David David served as king under the Lord for the first seven years from Hebron. And then he got Joab and the boys to go up through the the sewer into the city of Jerusalem that the Jebusites secured, and the Jebusites said, hey. Anybody can secure this city. There ain't no way you guys are getting in here. Well, they got in there, and they began to call it the City Of David. David was gonna be able to rule and reign from from Jerusalem. And but they wanted the ark of the covenant in there now because the Philistines had taken it in the time of remember Eli, Ahafni and Phinehas and and Ichabod, the glory of the lord had departed? They thought the ark of the covenant was a means of defeating their enemies, but it was taken by the Philistines. Philistines, you know, they didn't really want it very much after a while anyway because they were getting hemorrhoids. They're getting hemorrhoids. They're getting all kinds of tumors from having it. So I wound up over at a guy's house named Amminadab, I think it is, and later we're gonna call him the threshing floor Varuna, and it's it's gonna be Mount Moriah eventually. It's gonna be Calvary. But this this ark of the covenant was there for a period, I wanna say about thirty years, and and his house was blessed. Just hanging out with the lord, you know, you hang out with the lord, you get blessed. And all the congregation said that they would do so for the thing was right in the eyes of the people. And David gathered all Israel together from Sihor to Egypt, even all the entrance of Hemath to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim. So it's been there for twenty years according to first Samuel seven verse verse two. And king David went up in all Israel to Baalah and this is to Kirat Jearim and belonged to Judah to bring up from the ark of God the Lord who dwells between the cherubim. Remember all the carvings and stuff and everything? And what's inside the Ark of the Covenant? Did you see Rageous Lost Ark? Did you guys see it? What's inside of there? The commandments. Tablets. The 10 Commandments. Aaron's rod, the budded? Butt. Mana. Jarrah honey? No? No. It's right. Mana? Mana? Mana? Mana katie? Alright. Yeah. Praise the lord. Miracles. And which belong to Judah to bring up from the ark of god the lord who dwells between the cherubim where the name is called, captain of the armies. And they carried the ark of god in a new cart, a Tesla. They used a Tesla out of the house of Abinadab, and I've been blessed for twenty years as Abinadab, man. He got a bunch of different names. And Uzzah, you know, I like how the book of Job starts. Kinda like the Wizard of Oz. Right? There was a man in the land of Uzz. Right? And his name was Job, and he was perfect and upright in all of his ways, a man that feared God and skewed evil. And there's a guy named Abraham from Ur of the Chaldeans. Right? It's kinda like you're you're looking back once upon a time. They carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab and Uzzah and Hiram drove the cart. Jehu he drove his chariot furiously. That's how I drive and I drive furiously. And today when I was coming here, Kathy wasn't in the car, nobody's in the car, and man I was driving it hard. It was so much fun. So these guys probably aren't driving this cart very hard. They're probably gingerly trying to be real respectful and and keep that, you know, they probably didn't have any motorcycle straps going across it to keep it down and and they're just hoping it'll stay in there. And so basically, you're doing a good thing and with a worldly methodology, the way the world would think. Right? And David and all Israel played before God with all their might so now you're singing, you're worshiping with the harps, and the paltries and with the timbrels and David's a great worship leader, right? And with the cymbals and with the trumpets. And when they came under the threshing floor of of Chidon Uzzah put forth his hand to hold the ark for the oxen stumbled. Those oxen. They're pulling the cart with oxen and the ark of the covenant's on top. What could go wrong? What could go wrong? And and the anger of the lord you see, you do everything by measure. Everything's to be done decently and in order. He's a god of order. Doesn't mean legalism. Doesn't mean the letter of the law. But when he makes it real clear of what a male is, a man is, he makes it clear what a woman is, when he makes it clear what marriage is, what a family is, you know, he doesn't alter it. It isn't up for a reinterpretation, you know, the way that people the devil is the author of confusion. Your culture gets confused. Your culture the kids get confused like, well, what's right? What's wrong? What's up? What's down? Because the devil's the author of confusion. Now you've got kids in school, they don't know if they're a boy or they're a girl. Well, god didn't make them a mistake. You know? Check the plumbing. He made them male and female in the beginning. He made them male and female. Period. It's over. Done. There's no ambiguity about it. But the devil is an author of confusion. And then people in the church get away from the absolute truth of God's word and now they start thinking of theistic evolution. Well, let's mix evolution with God that God got it started but then it just evolved after that. No. He says in six days he did it. And he says it was not only good, he said it was very good. Very good. So it's it's mind boggling the compromise where in the time of judges every man did that which is right in his own mind, in his own eyes. That's called existential humanism. That's that's a that's living life according to feelings. I feel. And so, you know, you make a judgment and you say, hey. That's wrong. That's wrong. John the Baptist tells Herod, king Herod, it's wrong for you to have your brother Philip's wife. That's adultery. Well, it's not against the Greek law. It's not against Roman law. Why is it wrong? Who says it's wrong? I'm the king. I can do whatever I want. Well, it's wrong in the eyes of God. Oh, then the conviction comes. Now Herodias, who's hooked up with Herod now who was hooked up with his brother Philip, she feels ashamed, mocked. So Herod throws a party. John the Baptist is apprehended and thrown into jail for speaking the truth and nobody's backing John up. Right? He's left alone because he's just a hater. He's a bigot. He should love more. How come you don't love more, John? How come you're not loving? That's not very loving to point that out. Do you hear that today? You hear that? And all the kids that are evaluating marriage and evaluating roles, the role of a woman, the role of a man, a family, do they even wanna get married? And if they do wanna get married, should they have three people? Are we gonna go to Portland and call it Palomorning or whatever they call it where you have three people together? Or then maybe it's not male and female human beings. Maybe I'm gonna marry a cat or maybe identify as a cat or a dog or you know? Where do you stop with the chaos when you get away from the measure? The measure, the designer in his design and what he declares to be true. It's a slippery slope. And so Uzzah, he was a, and and the anger of the lord was kindled against Uzzah and he smote him because he put his hand to the ark and there he died before God. And David was displeased because the Lord had broken forth upon Uzzah wherefore the place is called Uzzah was to this day, no, to this day. And that means the breach of Uzzah, the Lord's anger broke out. And David was afraid of God. Yeah, yeah the whole church was afraid when Ananias and Sapphira were smitten dead for lying to the Holy Spirit. You bet! But what happened after that that godly reverential fear led to thousands of people coming to Christ because of the fear of the Lord. You think today we lack the fear of the Lord? And David was afraid of God that day saying, how shall I bring the ark of God home to me? So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David but carried it aside into the house of Obed Edom the Gittite. And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed Edom in his house three months and the Lord blessed the house of Obed Edom and all that he had. I guess so. Hang out with the Lord. Now how would we find out the proper way to bring this ark? What's the measure? What's the prescription? What's the prescribed way to bring it? Well, we're gonna have to turn to Exodus 25 and we're gonna have to look at the way that god taught the Levites how he wanted this ark to be carried if it's if it's to be moved because prior to the temple, right, they they bringing it from the tabernacle and they're building the tent of meeting and now pretty soon you've got a you've got a temple stationary gonna stay in the temple. David's David's gonna wanna build a temple, a house for God. Solomon's gonna wind up building it. So ultimately, you know, it needs to wind up in the temple. But presently they're looking at it as the presence of God. And so Exodus 25 Exodus twenty five twelve through 15. And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it. So you've got the box, the ark, and the ark is like the ark that Noah made. Right? It's it's a big ark. It's it's a box. And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it and put them in the four corners. Now that doesn't mean that the earth is flat because God said the four corners right here. Okay? Four corners thereof and two rings shall be in one side of it and two rings in the other side of it. So you're gonna put these these rings in each corner and then watch what happens. And thou shall make staves of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. So you're gonna have these poles. You're gonna have these poles that go through the rings and then you're gonna have priests who are prescribed who are by measure God calling them the staves shall be in the rings of the ark and they shall not be taken from it and thou shall put into the ark the testimony which is given thee and thou shall make a mercy seat of pure gold two cubits and thou shall the length thereof and a cubit and a breath thereof. And you see all these measurements by measure by measure by measure? He's the one designing this. He's the one laying it out. And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold a beaten work shalt thou make them and the two ends of the mercy seat and and make one cherub on the one side and the cherub on the other end and the mercy seat and make the cherub on the ends thereof. And so he goes through of all the different furnishings here and then go to first Chronicles 15. First Chronicles 15. So we're in chapter 13, and we went over and we looked in Exodus of the the staves and the and the things. So David's kind of perplexed like, how do we do this now? How are we gonna move this thing? It's gonna say two months, and I want the blessing of God's presence. So we gotta get this thing in Jerusalem. David said, I need it for me. Right? Well, want one too. Can we can we all get one? And David built houses for himself in the city of David and prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. Then David said no not to carry the ark of God but the Levites. Oh, okay. So David's done some studying. He just didn't make it up as a king. Well, I'm king. I'm a make it up how I want. I think. Not even a king can do that. Right? For them, saith the lord, chosen to carry the ark of god and to minister unto him forever. You remember when in the year that king Uzziah died in Isaiah chapter six? You remember that? He's a king and what did he do that caused him to get leprosy? So he's got a role. Right? He's got a function as a king. Does that mean he can be also a priest? No. He's you crossed over, dude. You you went you went too far. He went in to offer with the censor, offer incense, and he got leprous because of that because he he he didn't follow protocol. He didn't follow the measure. He didn't follow the design that god laid out. And now Jesus is prophet priest and king isn't he? But not not not those guys. So David David went to Liath of the sons of Kohath and so so he's doing his homework Uriel the chief of his brethren a 120 and the sons of Mirai and he goes through and of Gershom and Joel and of the sons of Eliphaz Shema and he goes through the sons of Uzziel and David called for Zadok and Abiathir the priest verse 11 and for the Levites for Uriel and Esai and Joel and Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab and said unto them, you're the heads of the fathers of the Levites sanctify yourselves so get yourselves ready because do you know that on the great day of atonement, do you know what they would do to the priest? They'd put a rope around his ankle because his outer robe had pomegranate bells. And if that priest did not prepare himself properly by measure, they would hear a thud. They would hear the bells quit dinging. Right? And they'd hear a thud. Boom. Now do you think any of them could go past that curtain, past the veil in there to grab that dead body? No. No. So they're gonna pull them out. Right? Right. I mean, everything's gotta be done god's way. It's gotta be done god's way. You don't make it up as you go. And so your brethren that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel into the place that I have prepared for it for because ye did it not at the first the Lord our God broke forth upon us upon Uzzah because we sought him not in the proper way. So god had to judge. God broke forth upon them because they did not seek the lord in the proper way. And Hofne and Phineas, didn't they offer strange fire unto the lord? Right? They didn't they didn't bring the incense. They didn't worship before the lord properly. And some some feel, pastor Chuck, that because of the context there that possibly they went in there drunk because there was a prescription there not to be drinking alcohol, not to be doing that. So they went in and offering strange fire. And alcohol used to be called spirits, so if you give yourself to pharmakeans, sorcery, and alcohol isn't one of the most abusive drugs there is, alcohol? And different measures of whatever, but, you know, yesterday, if you can believe this, there are a lot of professing Christians yesterday that not only celebrated resurrection Sunday and not only Jews that celebrated the feast of first fruits yesterday but some of these people also celebrated four twenty. They're pot smoking Christians. Right? Because it's 04/20 yesterday and and they were mocking they were mocking resurrection Sunday, a lot of them. And but I'll tell you, I've I've been blessed to watch god lead a lot of Christians away from incorporating marijuana with their Christianity lying to themselves saying it's just an herb. Right? And now that might be part of the reason I have a hard time connecting with some people in our church because there's a different spirit going on. Because they're still smoking pot and they think they can mix the two, that they can measure it up and they can do it their way. Strange fire. And so a lot of times I wonder, you know, why why don't they have ears to hear? Why is it so hard to get through to them? What what's going on? You know? And you don't know till later, but there's always like a gap there. There's something something something's not quite right, you know? And so I shout out to our friend John Persley. He all I said one Sunday he said he was a Christian for forty years still smoking the reefer, still smoking pot, living here in Kitsap County. And he listened to us one day and I said, hey, do you think you're a Christian and you're still smoking pot, you know, you're mistaken. You're lying to yourself saying it's just a nerve. And he quit that day. Amen. And he thanks me like crazy. It's like, hey, I still got it. Yeah. That's good. And so for because he did it not as first the lord our god broke forth upon us because we sought him not in the proper way. So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves so they had to get themselves ready to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel and the children of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders. There you go. There's the picture note card. With the staves as Moses commanded according to the word of the Lord. And David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint before the brethren by the singers. So David makes a whole big procession and you could you could read about that in second Samuel chapter six. And he's dancing, and it's all festive and exciting, and they're doing it right. And they stop every few feet, and they offer a offering, and they go a little bit more. And and it's a beautiful, beautiful picture there, and and it broke David's heart that Uzzah died. David in many ways probably felt responsible because he didn't provide the the leadership to do to do it in the right way. And and so so according to measure, when we talked about creation, we said that god said in Genesis one thirty one it was very good. How about how about prophecy? Is god a god of order concerning prophecy? Is everything happening according to measure, according to his plan and his purposes? Who wants to read acts two twenty three? And somebody else can have a first Peter one verse two, In Ephesians one verse 11. Ephesians one eleven. Yeah. So is everything happening according to plan? According I mean, Satan is the author of confusion. They're looking for a new world order. They're trying to create the Hegelian dialect of of where they we have a present order. So they wanna create the chaos crisis, then the reaction of the people. So crash the dollar, reaction of the people, and then the new world order, the new solution is the digital currency. That's the Hegelian dialect. That's the crisis reaction solution. The present order, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the present order. Right? But a whole lot of lot of things maybe. But a country that's built on a Judeo Christian ethic, they're following the measure. They're following god's word in their court system, in their schools. They start out okay, but as time goes on, they go down a slippery slope of a humanism, an existential secular philosophy that permeates the schools, permeates the culture, permeates the churches, and pretty soon the churches aren't doing things God's way. So let's look at this foreknowledge. Acts two twenty three. Was Jesus was it an accident that Jesus was crucified? Was it an accident? Did the religious leaders think they were in charge? They were in control? When they were concocting a plan in John 12 when Caiaphas said it's expedient that one person should die for the nation after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead? Really? That's your reaction? You're gonna assassinate Jesus? They're crying out, hosanna, hosanna, hosanna. Now everybody's crying out, crucify him? So we're gonna we're gonna take this guy to the Romans and we're gonna apply a political pressure from Pilate and Herod. You're not Caesar's friend, you know, and we're gonna get Jesus executed. We can't do it by stoning but they're gonna do it by crucifixion. Really? And then they find out later in Acts chapter two Peter saying, hey, it all happened according to plan. Jesus tried to tell Pilate that. No man takes my life from me. I have power to lay it down. I have power to take it again. You know? And in Acts two twenty three, what did Peter say in his sermon? Two twenty three. Delivered by the determinant counsel for knowledge of god, you have taken and by wicked hands are crucified and slain. Now think of all of those circumstances, all of those variables that had to come together just right for Jesus to fulfill all those prophecies. The foreknowledge of God, a lamb slain before the foundation of the earth, you know. First Peter one verse two. Is it an accident that you're you're saved? First Peter one verse two. And who wants Ephesians one verse 11? I got it. K. First Peter one verse two. Collect according to the foreknowledge of God the father through sanctification of the spirit and obedience and the sprinkling of blood of Jesus Christ. Grace unto you and peace be with grace unto you and peace be multiplied. Selection means that he chose you before the foundation of the earth, and it's not an accident that you're saved in that in knowing that he's gonna send his son also to die for us. Ephesians one verse 11. Can I go with eleven and twelve? I don't know. I don't know. We don't have time. No. Go ahead. Go ahead. In in whom also we have obtained an inheritance inheritance being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will, that we should be to the praise of his glory who first trusted in God Christ. Alright. Thank you. Now what about God's judgments? What about all the whiners, the complainers? Are they gonna whine and complain about God's judgments? The way he's gonna judge the world and the world leaders and all? Who wants Revelation sixteen seven? They should do it. And Revelation 19 verse two. So the tribulation period goes by and the world is being judged. God's pouring his wrath out upon the world, and then the response, all the armchair quarterbacks, well, that's not a god of love. You know? Everybody likes to say that. It's not very loving, but watch what watch what the angels and everybody's saying. Revelation sixteen seven. When I heard another out of the altar say, even so, Lord God almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. So if if it's an angel saying it, then they saw Lucifer fall. They saw when Lucifer rebelled against god, and they're they're aware of that. They're aware of Jesus, the second person of the trinity, taken on the form of man being crucified, you know, buried, raised from the dead, right hand of the father to redeem mankind who are the ones that put him on the cross. And now they're watching the judgment that's coming against the Christ rejecting world, and all they can say is true and righteous are your judgments. This is perfect. This is perfect judgment. They this this fits this fits the crime. And Revelation nineteen two. For true and righteous are his judgments for he hath judged the great whore who which did corrupt the earth with her fornications and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. So it's poetic justice. Psalm 19 verse nine. Then I'm gonna give some other ones. We're gonna go in a different direction. Psalm 19 verse nine. I can do that one. Okay. And then somebody else can get ready with first Timothy two twelve. 212. Okay. Okay. And go ahead, Ricky. 199. One. And who wants first Timothy three one through 13? Who wants that some big section to read? Okay. You gotta read it real nice. It's gotta be done by measure. It's gotta be done by measure. Yeah. My British accent? Yeah. Psalm nineteen nine. The fear of the Lord is pure enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm and all of them are righteous. Amen. His word. If he goes Psalm 19 there about his word, just how perfect it is. Perfect. Alright. Now what about women pastors? Are women talking about roles in the church? Are women supposed to be we see it all over Kitsap County. Women pastors now. Congregational pastors. Well A husband of one wife. Okay. Alright. Right. So if the scripture by measure, if the lord says in first Timothy two verse 12, you know, I I don't allow a woman to teach you to usurp authority over men. They could be Sunday school teachers. Yeah. And they can teach children too, young men, moms, aunts, grandmas, teachers. No doubt. But in a mixed congregation of men and women and with, like, a church setting today, Do people need a a new, you know, a new word from the lord, or can we can we look to the word and say, you know, that's that's not I mean, do we need a Deborah? Aren't there any men capable and qualified and ready to provide that spiritual leadership? In the time of the judges, the guys wouldn't step up the plate, so Deborah stepped up, and she did really well. So first Timothy two twelve, who is that? You just read it. No? Oh, I did? Okay. Not a woman to teach nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Oh, they don't wanna hear that. Yeah. Adam was firstborn then Eve. Now Revelation chapter eight verse one, there was silence in heaven with the space of a half hour. I'm just saying. Alright. So we're looking at pastors, and in the day and age we're we're living, the church is changing radically. And we're watching elders, which are bishops, which are spiritual overseers, the qualifications, and then we see deacons, the qualifications. And Paul's laying it out. This is this is what you wanna look for. And when you're looking for a deacon with Stephen or Philip, know, that's what you want to look for in Acts chapter six, you know. Has God changed his mind? First Timothy three one through 13, basically, I'll just summarize it. It's there need to be the husband and one wife. Right? So if a guy's an elder, a pastor, can he have three wives? No. That isn't what it's saying. It means he's a male, the husband of one wife. Right? And Yeah. The argument the argument that I've heard from women pastors is that in those latter days I will pour my my spirit upon men and young maidens and women so they kinda just draw from that, you know, that that's their cause. We want spirit filled wives, women, daughters. Mhmm. Philip's daughters were prophetesses speaking forth the word of God. And but there's also a headship. There's an order. There's a there's a pattern that god has prescribed like this measure, and we're to follow that measure or follow that pattern that he's laid out for roles. So part of it has to do with, like we said, headship. Jesus is the head of the church, head of the home, and so there's various roles and structure, and so it's not supposed to just be made up as we go. Alright. So here's another one that's close to my heart is first Corinthians 14 verse three. The church today, the content the content of what we're doing tonight. Have I have I said everybody bring a book. We're gonna have a book club. You know? Are we gonna bring the latest number one Christian counseling book or marriage book or any other book to go look to counsel us or guide us or whatever? Don't we have everything we need for life and godliness we're told by Peter? The word of god contains it. And so we can be confident that the word of god will will speak to us Cover it all. The way that we need yeah. Cover it all. And that the pop psychology of today doesn't address the spiritual needs of people that only the word of God can address. So in first Corinthians fourteen three, it says the prophet speaks to edification, exhortation, and comfort. So the role of a pastor, the job description of a pastor, if I want to look at are we doing this? Is this what the church is doing today? So we we we narrowed it down as by measure it's to be a male. Right? But what's his function? Jesus told Peter, do you love me? Feed my sheep. He's to feed the sheep. He's to tend and care for the sheep. Three times he said it. Right? And then the apostle Paul, as we studied in Ezekiel chapter three and verse 33, the apostle Paul in acts 20 said that he was innocent of the blood of the Ephesians, the church that he planted for three years, because he gave them night and day, gave them the full counsel of God. So what he gave them was the word of God. He taught them the word of God. And when you speak toward ex edification, exhortation, and comfort in Ephesians chapter four verse 11, not only is the person to be qualified with a, you know, character as you're looking in Timothy and his marriage and his family and that whole thing. But there's also to be a giftedness. He has to have the the goods. He has to be gifted as as a as a teacher. And if he's not gifted, if he doesn't have the goods, then he then he he can't function within that role. So in Ephesians four verse eleven and twelve, it says, and he gave some apostles. So we're not apostles. An apostle are the 12 that were there. An apostle Barnabas is an apostle can be one that's sent in a general way, but the office of apostle we don't have anybody that's office of apostle today because the qualification to be an apostle is to have seen the resurrected Christ. And Paula White, nobody's seen the resurrected Christ. Okay? So they're not apostle. They'd like to they like to grab that spot like they've got the Bethel group, the whole Bethel, the whole new apostolic reformation. They like to make you think that they've got the spiritual authority because they say so, but they don't, and the word of god doesn't back them up. Okay? So you got the he gave some apostles and then prophets. Do we have prophets today? Acting prophets? The the test is 100% accuracy. Not a YouTube prophet. I think so. I hope so. No. If you're gonna say thus saith the lord, then it better happen or you're a false prophet and we're gonna take you out and stone you. Right. Right? If you want the office of a prophet. Now the gift of prophecy, the prophet speaks to x x edification, exhortation, comfort. We'll come to that in a minute. So he gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, pastors, and teachers. So, yes, we do have guys with gift and and an office of an evangelist. Right? We love them because it fills our churches up. Right? Evangelism. When they have crusades. We don't see biblical crusades in the in in the early church, but we do see Philip the evangelist going to Samaria and the apostle Paul exercising the gift of evangelists. And Timothy, he didn't have the office or the gifting of evangelist, but we pastors were to do the work of an evangelist. So we we invite people to receive Christ, and we encourage all of us to fulfill the great commission by one man sowing another watering the lord bringing the increase. Right? So he gave some apostles, some prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. So pastor is the Latin form of what we saw the description of an elder, a bishop. These are spiritual overseers and a shepherd teacher, a pastor teacher. Now what's the function? Ephesians four verse 12. For the edification of the church. Edify means to build the church up. Edification. Exhortation means to motivate. To motivate them. Edification, exhortation and comfort. But for the edifying of the church for the perfect or excuse me. It's it's verse 12. It's for the perfecting of the saints which speaks of maturity, to mature them, which would be edification. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry. So healthy sheep reproduce. And so if the pastor teacher does his job, those that are gifted to the church, then it equips the saints for the work of the ministry. Now it's not just one person that's hired doing whatever. All of us find our gifted our giftedness where we fit within the body, and we do everything decently in an order according to what that sphere of responsibility and that gifting gives. Right? So we looked at the gifts, chapter twelve thirteen fourteen, and then we see we're to do it decently in order. We find our place within the body, and we do it according to measure. We do it according to what god's prescribed. So the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry. And then first Corinthians 14 verse three, the prophet, the person speaking forth the word of God. So there's a prophetic element of telling the future, but this sense here is the pastor teacher is speaking forth the word of God and the word of God has a prophetic quality to it with the help of the Holy Spirit. It can speak to Bernie, speak to Rob, can speak to all of us in the same room. That same message can speak to each of us because we're utilizing the word of God. We're teaching the word of God with the anointing of the holy spirit so he speaks to edification. So you're being built up. You're built up as a parent, built up at work, built up as in your marriage, built up in your walk relationship with the lord to edification that's gonna build you up, and then exhortation to motivate you, to get you going, to get you engaged, to to be excited about serving the Lord and following the Lord. And then comfort. Comfort is reminding us of the cross, reminding us of what god's already done for us. So the pastor should always be able to bring things back to the cross, the finished work of Jesus Christ, and what that means to us on our walk. Not condemnation. Don't wanna condemn. Don't wanna beat down. Don't wanna belittle or that sort of thing. So when I was at the Roxy, I had I had some tools. I had some tools to try and exercise my gifts, our gifts. And there was you know how you have a website and you have your ministry statement? You make a statement of ministry. I like to alliterate points. And so back in the day, if I were ever to put that on my website, the purpose would be for edification, number one. We're here to edify you, to build you up, build you up spiritually through the teaching of the word. Secondly, we're here to exhort you, to motivate you to gain to engage, to get involved. Kick in the pants, that exhortation, a kick in the pants, get you going. And thirdly, the comfort part, I put that as encouragement. We want to be an encouragement to you here at the church. And then the fourth one was evangelize. We want to use the Roxy as a means of evangelizing people. We want people to come here and to be able to have a concert and share the gospel and prophecy conferences and different types of ministry stuff that would allow us the privilege and the blessing of of having a group of people that might wanna come on out. And we used to do that. We did that quite often, but it was exciting for me. And then another one that I put in there was and this was one that guys thirty years ago, twenty five years ago, criticized me for, but it's the word entertainment. And you're a wimpy pastor if you were just entertaining. Mhmm. But I wanna suggest to you that King of Kings movie, Passion of the Christ movie, all the movies you're seeing in the last twenty five years, all the different media type stuff, YouTube, all that, there's a certain element of Christian programming or the chosen or of entertainment. So on the one hand, you're being edified while you're being entertained. You're being encouraged while you're being entertained. And there's a place for we could use the word amusement. Some people think going to church is for amusement. Ah means no, like ah millennial, no millennium. Amuse means no thinking. So some people go to church in denial to not have to think. So the church service becomes a clown show. Very little word of God. Nothing to feed your spirit. But the people love it so because it's so entertaining and it feels good. It's a feel good, watered down, you know, cotton candy kind of a message. And for me, that goes against the measure. That goes against the design. That goes against the job description of what Acts two forty two, the early church was in the apostles' doctrine, which means they were students of god's word. They were studying. The great commission is go and make disciples, which means to teach god's word. Right? So we have Sunday school teachers. We have you know, we all teach. And so then the apostles doctrine, breaking of bread. So they're they're partaking of worship and and meals together and fellowship and prayer, going from house to house. And so the acts two forty two is kind of our model. We see the apostle Paul in it. Acts 20 telling us showing us what's to be done there in Ephesus. City of Ephesus got the greatest Diana of the Ephesians. Later when Timothy was the pastor there in Ephesus, he was beaten to death because he spoke up against the disorder of the city having a sort of a Mardi Gras, and he said that was wrong. Now this is historical. You can look this up. He basically spoke up and said, you know, Timothy who was real timid, later on he had a boldness and he spoke up against that evil. And it says that one of the fullers came there with a fuller's rod and beat him to death, beat him with a club to death in the street. So in any event, I I I can't be so pragmatic, just make it up as we go. It's not like freedom of speech. You know? Yeah. Alright. So that's that's my desire to emphasize the the importance of doing things decently in an order. And so verse 18, and it was made with cherubim and palm trees to a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub and every cherub had two faces. Remember we read in Psalm 92 verse 12, the righteous shall flourish like the palm tree and he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon so that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah toward the palm tree and on the other side it was made through of the house roundabout. So he's a he's a king of righteousness from the ground unto above the the door was the cherubim. M is plural. Cherub is angel, exalted angel, you have seraph angels, you have angels, and these are cherub angels, and palm trees made on the wall of the temple. The posts of the temple were squared and as for the face of the sanctuary the appearance of the one like the appearance of the other, rectangular. The altar of wood, so this is an altar of incense. The altar of wood was three cubits high and the length of it two cubits and its corners and its length and its walls were of wood and and he said unto me this is the table that is before the Lord. So this is the altar of incense. You can see in Exodus chapter 30 verses one and verse three the Solomon's altar of incense covered with gold and all. And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors and the doors had two leaves apiece and a turning leaves, two leaves for the one door and two leaves, for the other door, so they were folding doors. And they were made on them on the doors of the temple cherubim and the palm trees like were made upon the walls that were were thick planks of cedar upon the face of the poor porch outside. So we called our little coffee house Solomon's Porch, a gathering place for Christians to come and hang out and and pray and all that. And the Solomon's Porch in the book of Acts was a gathering place. People come and gather there. They'd also go on, you know, obviously going into the temple but gather outside. And there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side and on the sides of the porch and upon the side chambers of the house and the thick planks. And so we're gonna go into chapter 42 here. Then he brought me forth into the outer courts, so that was the inner part, now the outer part, the way toward the north and brought me into the chamber and was opposite the separate place and which was before the building toward the north. Before the length of the 100 cubits was the north door and the breadth was 50 cubits. Facing the 20 cubits which were for the inner court and the opposite with the pavement which was for the outer court was the gallery against gallery and three stories. And before the chambers was a walk of 10 cubits and the breadth inward and way of one cubit and the doors toward the north. Now the upper chamber were narrower for the galleries were higher than the east, the lower, than the middle one, and of the building for they were in three stories but had not pillars like the pillars of the courts therefore the upper chamber were recessed more than the lowest and the middle ones from the ground. And the wall that was outside by the side of the chambers toward the outer court on the fore part of the chamber, the length of it was 50 cubits and the length of the chambers that were in the outer court was 50 cubits and low before the temple was a 100 cubits. And from under these chambers was the entrance on the east side as one goeth into them from the outer court. The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the courts toward the east opposite the separate place in front of the building, so the south side, and the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north as long as they and as broad as they and all the exits were both according to their fashions and according to their doors. And according to the doors of the chambers that were forward and south was a door and the head of the way even the way directly before the wall toward the east as one enters into them. Then said he unto me, the north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place in the holy chambers, where the priests so now we're coming. There's gonna be priests that operate here. And approach under the lord shall eat the most holy things. So the sacrifices that the priests are making, they're able to eat of the of the of the sacrifices. And shall lay the most holy things and the meal offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering for the place of the holy. Remember last time we said as we look at the book of Hebrews, you know, what's the purpose of these sacrifices? And we we look at it as a memorial, this do in remembrance of me. So during the millennium, there's gonna be gentiles that repopulate the planet that, you know, they need to hear about the about the cross. They need to come to faith. They have a chance to come to faith, and we're gonna the substance is there. Christ is the fulfillment. And so it's impossible that the blood of bulls or bullocks of animals sacrifices could take away sin, but it pictures it's a pattern of what Jesus in the sacrificial system pointing to him that as John the Baptist said behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and still bearing the scars in Revelation chapter five. So it's a it's a memorial that of looking back this do in remembrance of me. So when the priests enter into it then they shall not go out of the holy place in the outer court by their they shall lay their garments in which they minister for their holy. So they have holy garments, holy britches. They have they can't just go in there with their surf trunks on, their Hawaiian shirts. Right? They they some some religious groups will have robes and collars and but the priests, the Levitical priests within the Mosaic law, they have prescribed linen garments and prescribed britches and everything that would that would stave off sinfulness, you know. You're approaching a just and a holy God and you're bringing offerings in there. As we said, the high priest that would go into the holy of holies, he had to really make sure that he he prepared it properly. And so they put on other garments and shall approach to those things which are for the people. So they got their holy garments that they're using which aren't made out of sackcloth or cotton or something that would sweat but more of linen. And so it's not by might nor by power but by my spirit, saith the lord of hosts. The work that we do as kings and priests for the lord should be not on the arm of the flesh but in the arm of the holy spirit in the power and anointing of the holy spirit, and and those clothes typify that. So a farm worker or your common clothes might be by the sweat of your brow, you're working it, but your linen clothes, those were clothes that even though they're working real hard, they're cutting up a lot of animals. They're really going for it. It's a lot of work to be a butcher, but the picture there of the high priest, the picture there of the priest that comes before the Lord is that he's doing it in the power of the Holy Spirit. So Zechariah four six says, not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the lord of hosts. So not your natural power but the power of the holy spirit. A lot of pastors, pastors wives and people in ministry burn out. They quit. They also you you hear the term death by cop or where I believe there's a time in a lot of marriages and people in ministry that they'll almost sabotage themselves so that they can finally get out of the ministry. What do I mean by that? They'll reach a point where they want out so bad they'll go out and have an affair. They'll go out and do things that finally disqualify them to be done with it. Pastor's wives do it. Pastor's do it. And they can't take it anymore. They're burned out. The flesh the battle is so severe. It's so difficult at times in the spiritual realm that it's kind of a relief. It's kind of a relief to get out of the ministry. And I watch I watch a lot of them over the thirty years that I've done this, and it's never better afterwards. But it's always too soon to quit. It's always too soon to give in to the flesh and give in to those things. But it's a it's a powerful battle, especially in the last days here. To not be involved, you don't feel the battle if you're not involved. But if you engage, if you step forward and you wanna, you know, serve the Lord, boy, a fight comes against you and comes against your family and your kids and everything. So there's a a real strong emphasis, real strong importance to first receive from the Lord spiritually so that you can do this work in the power of the Holy Spirit and not in the arm of the flesh. Because in the arm of the flesh you're gonna burn out. You're you're no match for the devil. You're no match for what what the tricks that he has for you. So very, important to first sit at the lord's feet and receive from him. And and when you when you see that your life is bearing fruit, it and and people are responding, then it so greatly encourages you to keep going. Amen. And but much of the church today is bells and whistles and fluff and cotton candy and watered down, and they don't follow the measure. They don't follow the criteria. They don't do what they're supposed to do. And and the people seem to love it so. It's a have you heard of a Christianity that doesn't cost you anything? No. There's no price. There's no cost to be a Christian in these churches. And that's what they want. They don't want no no cost. And I'm not talking about money. I'm talking about death to self. Don't want to die to self. So when you teach the word of God, the word of God convicts people of sin. And now they need to give up. They need to surrender. They need to stop doing what they're doing. They need to put the Lord first in their life. You know? Yeah. But that might cost me. I might have to give up the pipe. I might have to give up something. You know? And so it's the Christianity our way. Christianity for the apostate church today is I'm in it for my benefit. It's what can I get out of it? It's not presented in such a way that if any man come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, follow me. Right? And so here with the priests, when they go out into public life, they need to humble themselves. They're not to elevate themselves above everybody else wearing their priestly garments. So it says here, they lay their garments in which they minister for they are holy, so set those aside and shall put on their garments and shall approach to those things which are for the people. And now when they had finished measuring the inner house and all that, so afterwards they're to go forth with humility. So let's look at some verses that speak of the humility as kings and priests that you and I are gonna be. You and I are gonna be the kings and the priests in the millennium. Colossians three twelve. Who was that one? Alright. Galatians three twenty seven. K. Isaiah sixty one ten. Anybody got it? Isaiah sixty one ten? Bernie? Bernie's gonna do it? Romans thirteen fourteen. This is how we're gonna be clothed in the millennium. This is how Thirteen fourteen. Where this first Peter five verse five, this is how we're supposed to be clothed presently right now. This is this is Christianity. This is where you esteem others better than yourself. The greatest among you be the servant of all. Humble yourself in the sight of the lord and he shall lift you up. And it's not a Christian celebrity thing. It's not it's not your name and lights and being the celebrity. One of the things I wanted to mention to you is in this doing things by measure, check out the phenomena, the New York the New York Times just did an article. New York Post just did an article four days ago of the enormous amount of young people in Protestant churches leaving the Protestant churches and going toward Catholic churches. Now when I became a Christian, enormous amounts of Catholic kids raised in Catholic churches got saved and wound up at calvary chapels and stuff. And it was just phenomenal, you know, being born again and everything. What's happening is the influence of the Rick Warren purpose driven life where all of the Protestant denomination churches have quit teaching the bible. They've quit they've quit holding to the standard, the biblical New Testament standard of edifying and feeding the sheep and have instead come up with deeds, deeds, making people feel good by doing good things, feeding the homeless and stuff. And that's what happened. Rick Warren convinced the Protestant churches to get away from creeds, which is teaching, and the emphasis upon deeds. You've heard me say this before. Now twenty five years later, young people who are looking for direction don't know what's right and wrong. Pastors are getting drunk. Pastors are advocating everything of the world. It's confusion. They're looking for black and white. Right and wrong. And because they're not born again, many of these these kids, and they've been raised in the Protestant churches, they're moving over to a liturgical style of church service because the the liturgical and the Catholic church and others provides a structure that they can follow and icons and imagery and stuff in the church, the stained glass windows and all, like in the dark ages, that makes them feel holy, makes them feel close to god. Do you see what I mean? So they're moving to a mechanical, liturgical, emergent church with prayer stations and all as they a ritual, ritualistic rather than being born again. And so picture Martin Luther, a priest, and he's liturgical and he's mechanical, and he's doing everything he's supposed to do as a lawyer and as a priest. And they've got the all the church dogma that's added to the bible. And he's got a crisis of conscience as he's climbing the steps, the Sistine Chapel, and the lord is screaming in his ear, the just shall live by faith. Mhmm. And that's the Protestant Reformation. That's what came out of that is that it was getting away from the religious aspects of the Catholic church without the spirit. The justification by grace through faith alone is the Protestant Reformation. So then what happened was the Catholics kept the word of God from the people. They weren't allowed they had services done in Latin. So the Protestant Reformation brought forth the word of God, translated it into the common tongue of the people, and churches were ablaze with the teaching of the word, and it transformed and changed the way people live. They lived according to the word. They lived according to the measure. But now these kids are disillusioned and they're like saying with Pontius Pilate, where's truth? Where's the truth? So we've got a bunch of celebrities. So here's here's how we're to be clothed. Colossians three twelve. Three twelve. Upon therefore has the elect of God holy and beloved, vows of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and long suffering. In Galatians three twenty seven. For as many as you have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Amen. Isaiah sixty one ten. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord. My soul shall be joyful in my God. For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness. And the bride rendicts himself with ornaments. In Romans thirteen fourteen. Romans thirteen fourteen. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof. That's lust is plural. Yep. First Peter five verse five. I'll take that. K. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject to one another and be clothed with humility. For God resist us the proud and give grace to the humble. So the younger are looking for examples. They're looking for leadership, spiritual leadership, and when they see the pastors completely worldly and all the worldly methodology and the worldly fluff and clown shows and all, they're they're being disillusioned and they're looking for they're looking for the truth. And they're not finding it in the Protestant churches anymore because the Protestant churches aren't teaching the Bible anymore. It's just an entertainment fluff show and the kids are seeing through it. They're disillusioned with it, so they're looking for structure. And unfortunately, the structure they're falling into is liturgical ritual structure, but it but it confines them and makes them feel like they're doing something, you know, that feeling of being religious. And so they profess that they know God, but in works they deny him. They don't really know him away from me. I never knew you in Matthew seven. And so we we've been emphasizing Christianity as a relationship. You must be born again. And once you're born again, then the light bulb goes on. You're not body just body and soul. You're body, soul, and spirit. Well, how do I grow, pastor? By reading the word. By studying the word. Right? And it's the pastor's job. It's a job description to feed the sheep. So now in verse 15, now when he had finished measuring the inner house and he brought me forth toward the the gate whose prospect is toward the east and measured it roundabout, he measured the east side with the measuring reed 500 reeds, with the measuring reed roundabout. And he measured the north side 500 reeds and with the measuring reed roundabout and he measured the south side 500 reeds with the measuring reed. And he turned about to the west side and he measured 500 reeds with the measuring reed and he measured it by the four sides and it had a wall around about at 500 reeds long and 500 broad to make a separation between the sanctuary and the commonplace. So it's a 765,625 square feet, about 13 football fields is the dimension to the size of this. And so now there's another thing I'm hearing about. It's it's this emphasis upon being lions, not lambs, being warriors, and this masculinity kind of a thing that's that's happening. And I've I've been hearing about young people going to Catholic churches and standing and fasting, and they're really giving them a lot of outward things to do to make them feel like they're, you know, superhuman, you know, warriors, you know, spiritual warriors, and they're not just soy boys, skinny jean protestant soy boys, you know, prancing around the stage and, you know, and that sort of thing. So there is a there is a resurgence toward structure that that the culture is is clamoring for. And and in the churches, there's gotta be structure, but it doesn't need to be mechanical and fleshly. It needs to be in the power of the holy spirit according to the word of god and ministered in love. I've I've said to guys at the church before, hey, man up, and they leave the church. Why can't I say that? Everything's to be done decently in order. You don't have to help at the our church, but if you do wanna help, do it as unto the lord. You know, do it the right way every time and do it as unto the lord to wing it, to just, you know, what you feel. That's a that's an insult to the lord of who we're trying to serve. And so so that's what I get out of this. I see that God's a God of order. We're to do everything decently and in order, and it's not allegorical, it's not symbolic, it's a real temple that's gonna be built. And the person building it's Jesus. He's gonna build it and it's gonna be built right. You know? Who to speak it into existence. Right? Maybe. I don't know. Maybe they'll have Elon Musk build it if he gets saved. But alright. Any other comments or questions? We're we're living at a time of of enormous spiritual deception. Yeah. And we're gonna really need to we're really gonna need to be fact checkers to earnestly contend for the faith and to do things according to the word of god. Back at that time when we were messed up in the flat earth thing, I was trying so hard to stay with the word of god and to not go beyond the word of god and try and, you know, get off track. And this this by measure here and what we've talked about tonight is something I think is gonna be harder and harder to maintain, to stay the course. Pastor Chuck had to exhort the pastors to stay the course because the churches that teach the bible were getting smaller, and that's who we were. And the Rick Warren feel good type churches were getting larger. And so Chuck was saying, guys, stay the course. Stay the course. It's okay if your church gets smaller. You keep doing what god's called you to do. Stay with what god's called. So don't be pragmatic and try to figure out how to relate be relevant and relate with the culture. Well, some of the Calvary guys actually started having prayer stations in Le Brinz and places where people could do contemplated praying where they come and they like a Catholic, they started incorporating that stuff. And, you know, fortunately, not too many fell into it, but the the whole emergent church thing, again, it was it was experiential. They wanted the experience of it. And then you got Bethel that comes along, and they've got a pseudo spiritual experiential that's occultic with tunnels, fire tunnels and stuff. There's so much going on right now that's so far away from the word of God. So the Protestant Reformation was a return to the word of God and when the church returns now apostasy is a falling away, a departure from the word of God. And that's what we're in right now, an apostasy. And it's a rebellion against God. It's a departure from his word. So the solution is to come back to the word or stay with the word and it's gonna be harder and harder and harder moving forward. We're going to be in arguments all over the place with people with an esoteric pseudo spiritual, you know, spiritualizing, allegorizing, and basically what it comes down to is a departure from absolute truth. The authority of God's word is what's happening. So I encourage you to stay with the word of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit with the fruit of the spirit which is love and be able to give an answer to everybody of the hope that's within you with prophecy and the soon return of the Lord and Satan's a counterfeit, Satan's a liar, many false Christs and false prophets and false teaching going on. And so we need to stay with the simplicity of the gospel, the simplicity of yieldedness and dependency upon the Holy Spirit, silver and gold have I none in the name of Jesus Christ stand up and walk. We need to see the Lord move and work in that way, you know. Everything doesn't need to be church incorporated, mechanical, and always be a business based upon marketing people. And so I don't think we're ever going to grow numerically this point forward. Now if things get really topsy-turvy and begin to break down, it may be that people start to look for biblical answers. But right now they're disenchanted. These young people are disenchanted with the Protestant church and they're headed over toward the Catholic church. Now what's that? Is that gonna be part of the one world religion heading into the tribulation period? The pope just died. I mean, what what kind what is the devil setting up with this religious desire that's in people but it's being filled or fed into a, you know, a false system, a completely false system. It's mind boggling to me. They soothe themselves. But but it's so seductive. They're being seduced into this. They're willingly going. They're and now do you think Mark Wahlberg has part of it? Do you think some of these Mel Gibson and these guys that are into this whole Catholic thing and their stuff on their forehead with this do you think that's part of the draw for the young people? You know what I mean? It's a weird thing, isn't it? And I'm not really up on it that much. I'm just now finding out about it, this phenomena. I had a month or so ago, I heard about these guys in Texas. These young guys, I wanna say they were standing for thirty hours, you know, praying and singing and all that. I forget what the duration was, but it was a period of time of fasting and just standing there like warriors, you know, in these Catholic churches. And and I'm I'm all about being warriors for Jesus and all, but I want you to remember this too, is the wrath of man works not the righteous of God. We're gonna be provoked to anger by people and division's gonna take place. And Jim tonight was mentioned, you know, being able to defend ourselves. Yeah. We understand that. But part of what's happening is a provocation to get us in the flesh, and family members and friends and people within the church provoking us on Facebook and everything to get into the flesh. We need to be wiser and and not, yeah, get off of Facebook, block them. On the one hand is can we be positive and provide positive things for people on Facebook, like bible teaching and stuff? On the other hand, be careful if you get lured into public debates that you they really you you can't they won't hear you. They just won't hear you no matter what you do. So so you just gotta block them. Just block them. Alright. Well, let's pray. Father, times are getting way different, Lord. I remember, Lord, when pastor Chuck would teach and on the radio and the other Protestant pastors, the J. Vernon McGees and the John McArthur's and Chuck Swindolls and so many of these great men and women, Kay Arthors, I don't know if she's any good, but Lord Corrie ten Boom and others different spheres of ministry and teaching and music it and seemed to be orthodox. It seemed to be right on track and just really good meat and good milk and good veggies and good food for the sheep to grow. And there was transformation and changes and evangelism and a zeal and it was all based on truth. And today Lord with Pilate we say what is truth? It's just getting so convoluted. People that go and visit various churches it's so strange. It's so strange what's going on out there. And Lord I just pray that we would stay the course and that you'd lead and guide us into all truth and we'd not be puffed up and arrogant as the only place that has any kind of truth, but Lord in humility that we put on Christ. And we do the best we can to to minister to people and be ready for rejection. Lots of rejection. Tons and tons and tons of rejection because Lord they just won't hear. They they it's a time of apostasy. They made up their mind. And and we can't compromise. We can't go away from your word. We have to stay with your word. So help us Lord. I I just don't understand why some of the Christian leaders won't speak the truth Lord. Why they keep compromising? Why they why they keep going along with with the so many lies within the culture and they blend the church with it. They Christianize it. So help us Lord. Help us to inspire the young people who are searching for truth to not be compromisers. To not give in to the warp speed jab. To not give in to, you know, the COVID lies and so many things. The pope lies. You you church leaders are gonna say the pope's a good guy? Pray for the Catholic church? Come on. For their new leader? An unwillingness to identify the heresy, the occultness, the lies of the previous pope? Raise up some leaders, Lord. Please raise up some leaders. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Amen. Can we pray for Heidi's husband? My cousin, Heidi. Yeah. He's going to surgery. His name is Dave. Alright. We're gonna he's gonna go into surgery, and they ask for prayer. Oh, yeah. You wanna pray? You want me to? Go ahead. Okay. Heavenly father, we come before you, and we lift up Dave, Heidi Ringer Lloyd, and her husband, Dave. And, Lord, surgery is always, you know, serious, but we thank you for the doctors, the nurses, the procedures. Whatever is going on in his body, Lord, we pray that it's a little thing for you, that you as the great physician would make everything move in a direction of healing, that he'd be healed totally and completely. We pray that you use his life and his witnesses and testimony with all the people he comes in contact with. We pray there'd be no death by doctor or complications or mistakes or any of that kind of stuff going on. We pray you get all the prescribed by measure like we talked about tonight, Lord. Everything to be done decently in order by measure. Give them a great doctor, great nurses, great everything. And, you heal him. We ask that you would heal him and that you'd use their witness and testimony with others around them, family and friends, the importance of being right with you, Lord, being students of your word, lovers of prophecy, and Lord, you're coming back soon. So blessed, we pray in Jesus' name. And Lord, also lift up Vince and we pray that, Lord, you move and work. You bring Christians into his life and bring them the end of himself that he'd cry out to you, Lord. Give Rob and Vicky wisdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
