Alright. Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night. Sorry. We're a little bit late. We didn't put our clocks forward, but we we had technical difficulties. So let's pray. Father, thank you for this Monday night that we can study your word and worship you, fellowship, have a meal, and all, and we just commit this time into your hands and ask that you inhabit the praise of your people, and this be a real sweet time that you'd edify, build us up, strengthen us, Lord, lead and guide us in all truth. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the lord. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Amen. Alright. Thanks, Rob. Alright. Anybody see prophetically any dots connecting this past week? Are you watching? You're aware? AI cometh. So the AI, we're seeing the AI gain emphasis and developing right before our eyes and artificial intelligence, everything digital. So that's Glenn Beck's shouting from the rooftops that people need to get ready for it. And so we as Christians, we know that according to Revelation thirteen sixteen through 18 that there's a day coming in the in the tribulation period that nobody's gonna be able to buy or sell without a mark on the right hand or the forehead. And Glenn Beck's talking about how it's tying in with transhumanism and, you know, the DNA and all that sort of thing, and then changing changing people and, you know, like, getting the help of the technology to help merge. JD Frog talks about the in Daniel chapter two, the iron mixed with clay, and he's asking the question, is that alluding to the future where the clay being us is mixed with the technology? And that's kinda interesting. But, anyway, that's that's one huge thing that's happening. Cryptocurrency, last Friday, president Trump met with a bunch of guys, and they're gonna roll out their cryptocurrency. So a one world religious system, a one world governmental system, one world monetary system, a digital monetary system is on the horizon. It's happening in, you know, breakneck speed. Anybody else? Well, they said that they were the smartest people who met with him on the the highest IQ people. They're already doting how wonderful they are. I know that's not true because you and I weren't there. I know. We weren't there. It's that can't be true. So what else? Escalation of war War war. Rumors of wars. Wars and rumors of wars. War tree, nuclear weapons Ethnic group against ethnic group. Like the the squabble in in Ireland that Rob told me about with the Muslims and all of Europe overwhelmed with Muslims that have lived there for a time and Protestants and Catholics getting together in Ireland to try and deal with the aggressiveness of the Muslims that are there, and the government sent out the army to stop the Protestants. The Protestants and the Catholics, you know, are at odds. Right? But now they're one as we're Irish people. You know? And so anyway, the the Muslims Rob was saying that there could be a skirmish and the Muslims would gather. The police would be sent out. There's so many Muslims as a mob that the police leave. You know? So the people get getting together, like, let's solve this thing. And so the military comes out. Now in Syria, it'd be great if a military would come out and protect the minority Christians that are there. You heard about how many Christians have been killed? Thousand. And they're and they're they're humbling them. They're they're crucifying them. They're pouring stuff on them. They're just it it's it's horrible what's happening. So when Assad's gone, just like when Mubarak in Egypt was gone and just like Saddam Hussein, these these dictator guys, they'll protect minorities, particularly Christian minorities. But when those dictators are removed and the Al Qaeda or Taliban or these other groups gain power, they go after the minorities. So the Christians are in the minority and they're being they're being wiped out there. So we're hoping and praying that, as Rob said, Rubio is incensed by it and trying to get some sort of a a response, maybe a UN response, but some sort of response to protect the Christians that are there. Alright. Well, let's pray. Father, we pray for the Christians in Syria as Assad has fled the country and there's instability and people fill that void, that vacuum, different various groups with hate. So much hatred, Lord. And simply because somebody's a Christian, they wanna kill them. And women, children, all of them in the Boko Haram in Africa, the Al Qaeda in the in the region there in in the in Syria, and lord ISIS created by The United States, these terrorist groups that use US funds to do these things. And Lord, we just pray raise up a standard against it, that you preserve these these groups, even Palestinian Christians in Gaza, Lord. All over the world, Christians being being mistreated in that way. So Lord, whatever religion or ethnic group, whoever they are, we pray that you would preserve and protect the vulnerable, Lord. And so blessed, we pray tonight as we study Ezekiel 35. We pray that you open our hearts, our minds, and teach us, Lord, and and help us, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Alright. In this chapter, there's a a problem with hatred, just like we talked about. There's a hatred that's developed between ethnic groups. And Jesus said that in the last days, nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And that word nation in the Greek is ethnos, which is ethnic groups. So it it's a mystery to me why one ethnic group would hate another ethnic group, but it happens. And people we watch children being taught to hate. We watch Muslim children being taught to hate Jews. We watch people in The US, white people, black people, particularly white people, you know, being taught to hate black people simply because they're black. We fought a civil war over that, and and it's it's frightening when you see churches divided along those lines that we've got our white church, our black church, our this church, that church, you know, and Jesus Jesus came with his blood, his bloodshed to save every tribe, tongue, people, and nation, you know, and his blood is what what is used to save us. And we know there's black people that are prejudiced against whites, and it's a huge problem, but it comes down to hatred. So one time when I went to years ago when I went to Turkey, we saw the seven churches and went to Israel first. One of the guides was asking me about these these terrible black people in LA that were, you know, stomping on people and everything. And it was during the Rodney King riots and all that, the riots going crazy. There's a picture of a guy being pulled out of Reginald Denny, I think, being pulled out of a cement truck and then, you know, smashed and everything. It was a response to the police officers being aggressive toward Rodney King. So it broke out. Huge huge riots in LA, and we were there at the time, little little bit of ways from it, but but close enough within 30 miles. But it's all over the news. So I'm over there in Turkey, and the guy's saying, yeah. You gotta be careful of those, you know, those black guys those black guys and all that. The must you know, whatever. And I said, no. It's not a skin color problem. It's a problem with the heart. It's a heart problem. Mhmm. And each and every group needs to be born again, you know, so that you can so that you can love. Have you ever seen hatred in your own family? Jesus said in your own family, they're gonna hate you. Right? There'll be those that are your enemies from with your own family. Isn't that crazy? One of the ways you see this pronounced in a huge way is when mom and dad die and you watch the kids fight over The inheritance. Tables, chairs, everything. You know? And there's this huge animosity they've been holding on to. You were mom's favorite. You were always mom's favorite. You know? And they've been holding it, holding it, holding it. And if they're the executor of the state, watch out, man. You know? So being a pastor, I see that happen, you know, quite often. And blessed are the peacemakers. Right? Blessed are the peacemakers. So Jesus said, I come in my father's name in John five and you receive me not. Another will come in his own name and him you will receive. So even the Jews rejected Jesus. Even the people of Nazareth rejected Jesus. So talk about being hated. He's hated all over the world for such a long time, and and you have to ask yourself, why? What why would people hate Jesus? So in this household with Isaac and with Rebecca, Isaac needed a wife, and his parents, Abraham and Sarah, sent him back to where he where where Abraham and Sarah came from and to the house of her brother. Let's see. What's his name? Nathan? Laban. Laban. Laban. Thank you. To the to her brother house, Laban. And and Laban was pretty sneaky. And and but he was really excited because Eliezer, the the servant of Abraham, went there and and got this bride, Rebecca, to come back with him. And she's a type of of he's a type of the holy spirit. She's a type of the church. And then you've got Isaac, a type of Christ. And anyway, they they get married. They have they have twins, and in her belly, there's two nations fighting. And so when when you have twins and the little guy puts his hand out of the womb, they take a red a red ribbon and tie it to it. His hand goes back into the womb, and so he's the firstborn. And there's two nations in there and they're already fighting inside the womb. And so you've got Jacob which means heel catcher. So when Esau is trying to come out of the womb, the picture is Jacob grabbing his foot and pulling him back in. They're already fighting over the blessing. They're already fighting who's gonna be the firstborn and that's the backdrop. That's the picture of what's taken place in this chapter. So it it generationally, year after year, these two nations are antagonistic towards each other. So Esau, he and his people, they wind up in the area of Southern Jordan or of Moab. Today, it would be Southern Jordan, so it's near the Dead Sea South, and they're called the Edomites. Esau, Edom, he's red, he's hairy. In the Greek, it's Idumea, Idumans. So Herod the Great was Idumian, and so he's from from Esau. And so that's why the Jews would not receive Herod the Great as a true Jew. He's king of the Jews, but he's not a real Jew ethnically. And so that's why there was always that problem with Herod the Great being so insecure because the Jews themselves didn't even even receive him. So you've got in this chapter, you've got Babylon destroying Jerusalem and all these years later, you've got the Edomites not allowing those fleeing Jerusalem down to where Esau is, the area of Petra or Basra, and they're standing there and they're not allowing them in and they're killing them and killing the Jews that are fleeing. And so in this chapter, God's bringing forth justice against the Edomites in because of what they did, and he's describing here prophetically how he's gonna desolate them. They're gonna cease to be a people. You don't ever meet any Edomites. You know, they're gone. They're done. And there's like three just little tribes, little tiny tribes there in the area of Petra and the area of where this used to be. It's not a huge metropolis and huge thing. Now next week in chapter 36 to 37, we're gonna see that after seventy AD when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem again, that the Jews fled throughout all the world. But they didn't lose their ethnicity. They didn't lose their identity as Jews. They were out of the land for close to two thousand years. And on 05/14/1948, we'll see in chapter thirty six and thirty seven, god miraculously caused the nation to be regathered and reborn as a nation, but regathered in unbelief. They still don't believe in Jesus. But but they're in the land, which is a huge huge miracle. Now if you go to Petra, you don't see the Edomites there. They're gone. And there's these big high cliffs, and they had great archaeology and great science, and they thought they were impregnable and everything. And the irony of this is when we finish up this chapter, we're gonna look at Isaiah 63 and Micah two because the Jews are gonna have to flee Jerusalem again during the tribulation period. The antichrist is gonna come after them and wanna slaughter the woman, Revelation 12 verse six, and a whole group of them need to flee and they flee to Basra, Mount Seir, to Petra, and it's ready for them. And they're gonna be there for three and a half years being provided food and everything to try and hide from the antichrist because Zechariah thirteen eight nine says that two thirds of the Jews are wiped out by the antichrist by the tribulation period. God says it's a time of Jacob's trouble, a time of going through the fire to preserve a one third remnant that's gonna finally believe and Jesus said, you're not gonna see me again till you say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. So they finally are born again. We saw that in Jeremiah 31, the unconditional covenant that comes to them. So moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me saying, son of man, set thy face against Mount Seir. So Mount Seir is Petra, Mount Seir is Basra, Mount Seir is that area of Southern Jordan today, and prophesy against it. And so this this is near the Dead Sea itself. And saying unto it, thus saith the Lord God, behold o Mount Seir, I am against thee and I will I will stretch out mine hand against thee and I will make thee most desolate. I will lay thy cities waste and thou shall be desolate and thou shall know that I am the Lord. So you're you're gonna know. Now in Ezekiel thirty eight and thirty nine, there's a point in time where Russia with a coalition of nations, allies, allied with Iran, and allied with Turkey, allied with Germany, allied with The Sudan. These allied nations come against Israel and they're gonna take the spoil. They're gonna seek to take the spoil, which is Leviathan. Right? The natural gas and oil that Israel has. And they think they can just invade it and take it. Five out of every six of the invading force gets wiped out. God wipes them out. And he says a similar thing here that the whole world will know that he's the true living God. Right? And when when that realization comes to the world, they devise a peace treaty. They need a peace treaty and I believe that's when you'll see the antichrist. You won't see him, but the antichrist will emerge with this peace treaty which starts the tribulation period, the seven year tribulation period. But God is gonna be glorified even in judgment. God is God is glorified. Now notice the reason, because thou has had a perpetual hatred. Mhmm. It's a lot of work to hate somebody, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, you've been wronged. I've been wronged. We've had some terrible things happen to us. And, man, I don't wanna carry that hatred with me. And the bible tells me as a Christian, if I'm angry or I hate my brother, I'm a murderer already. Right? And doesn't it produce certain kind of chemicals in your belly if you're a hateful, angry, bitter person? Mhmm. Right? And that leads to disease and it just messes you up. So as a Christian, we're commanded to forgive, and we need to forgive. We need to go through our list of people that that we might hate and at least let them loose, you know. In Matthew 18, if we don't forgive people and we harbor this hatred, resentment, bitterness, then it's gonna deliver us over the tormentors because we're holding a leverage over them. They may have they may have wronged us by maybe $500,000. They stole $500,000. And we were just so angry that they did that to us, you know, whatever. And and we owed the Lord $10,000,000 and he just forgave us. We had no ability to repay it. He just forgave us. Right. But we're holding on. Let me lower that amount. We're holding on to 50¢ they owe us. Right? Holding on to 50¢. And I'm gonna grab you and I'm gonna throw you into prison. I'm gonna choke you around the neck till you pay the outermost farthing, you know. And the Lord says, you know, you wicked servant. You wicked servant. I forgave you of million dollar debt and you can't forgive this guy and be delivered over the tormentor. So it's it's much better, much easier to forgive people. Now in Luke chapter seventeen one through three, if he repent, forgive him. So how I understand that is I might forgive somebody from my heart that's wronged me, like say Esau and Jacob. Jacob Jacob wronged his brother Esau and we're gonna see that a little bit here. He really wronged him. And Esau went away from that encounter threatening to kill Jacob. If I ever see him again, I'm gonna kill him. I hate him so much. And it's a lot of work to hold on to that hatred for ten, fifteen, twenty, you know, thirty years, forty years maybe, and much better to forgive him. Now if he repent, you know, forgive him. So think about Christmas time. How am I gonna get together and bring Jacob and Esau together? Right? How are gonna do that? So if he repents, forgive them. So if they repent, then even though you've already forgiven them from your heart, you're not gonna go hang out with them. Right? But if he repent, forgive him in the sense of you can be restored to maybe to some fellowship and see him. And you're gonna watch him, you know, and always keep your eye on him because you did it till last time. Has he really changed or whatever? But holidays are hard because we have to regather with people that that we really don't like, you know? Right. And they're our family. They're our family members, you know? But we can do it for one day. Kathy and I, when we when we used to when we used to go visit our family at the holidays, it was always so volatile and so crazy. And I love going there, but I used to tell her, and she was a good trooper. She's good. I'd say, now remember, it's just one day. It's just one day, you know. Alright. And we can do that. In fact, it's half a it's half a day. It's about five, six hours, you know, then we can get out of there. But it was just so crazy. And and and pretty much it was pleasant. I can't remember any time it got ugly, but you had to really be on your game, man, because it could blow it could get so volatile. My mom could she could be mad at her sister or mad at somebody and this whole thing just blow up, you know. But you gotta make sure your car, like I have it right now, I have it pointed out because if this thing blows up, I'm out of here. I I'm not gonna get stuck. Right? I've learned to do that. I've learned to do that, man. I'm not getting stuck. Not getting stuck. Oh, you guys you guys could blow up, man. Right. Crazy things people hate me over. Alright. So we know we're loved here. Okay. So because thou has had a perpetual hatred and has shed blood of the children of Israel by the force of those sword at the time of their calamity and the time for their iniquity had an end. So, hey, I'm running to my cousin's house. I'm running to the to you know, the the Babylonians are wiping us out, and we're fleeing. We're fleeing. Where are gonna go? I'm gonna go to where Esau is. I'm gonna go where the Edomites are. They're our cousins. And and you get there and they're blocking you from entering and they just start killing you just like they're doing to the Christians in Syria right now. They're just killing you. And so the Lord is saying, no. I saw what you did there. And And and also it was done through king Herod at the time when Jesus was born. You remember that? Mhmm. The Herod's Idumian and he wanted to be the king, and he heard that the wise men came from Babylon, hey, we wanna see the king of the Jews. Well, he's a very insecure guy. He didn't even kill his own family members. He's so insecure. And so what did he do? He killed all the babes two years old and under. And that's a picture of, again, of Esau, his anger toward Jacob, you know, the Jews, that of Israel. And so because of that, because the blood being shed now who wants to read Obadiah ten and fourteen? And somebody else there's a picture there in Psalm one thirty seven verse seven. One thirty seven verse seven. Yeah. Psalms. They're, like, screaming, raise it. Raise it. So they're cheering. Remember when nine eleven happened and you saw these people kinda cheering that the building was was going down? That's what Esau's people did. They were cheering when the Babylonians were destroying Jerusalem. Obadiah ten fourteen. Do you guys even know Obadiah has one chapter? But verse ten and fourteen? That's why we we can't find it. You guys can't find? Okay. Well, I'll give you time. 1377. That's something. Those phone bibles are much easier because you got a grid. You click on I got 137 Remember, oh, Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem who said, razz it, Razz it. Raise. Raise it. I'm sorry. Raise it. Raise it. Raise it. Even to the foundation thereof. That's what they're cheering. They're cheering them on. They hate it. You have to carry that hatred toward this group. Verse and Obadiah ten fourteen? Ten fourteen. Ten fourteen? One verse ten and one verse 14. Okay. Verse 10. For thy violence against thy brother Jacob, shame shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off forever. There you go. Verse 14. Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway to cut off those of his that did escape, neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of of his that did remain in the day of distress. Thank you. Alright. Verse six. Therefore as I live saith the Lord God, I will prepare thee unto blood and blood shall pursue thee since thou has not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. So you're gonna reap what you sow and this Edom Edom and Esau, the place is called Edom, it means red. And they have these real like when Robin Vicky took us to Sedona, they got these red mountains all there at Petra. And and Esau, his name means hairy. He's a red haired stepchild, and that's that's how he looks. He's he's really hairy, red haired, big mountain of a man. He loves to hunt. He likes to bring the venison to daddy. And so I Isaiah I or Isaac. Isaac's favorite was Esau because he'd bring him this nice venison when he'd go hunting. And then Jacob liked to watch the cooking channel with his mom and and help her make stew, you know, they were making stew. So thus will I make Mount Most desolate. So God's gonna make Mount Seir most desolate and cut off from it him that passes out and him that returns. And I will fill his mountains with his slain men in thy hills and in the valleys and in all thy rivers shall they fall that are slain with the sword. I will make thee a perpetual desolation and thy city shall return and and ye shall know that again that I am the Lord. And so let's turn to Genesis chapter five twenty five and see how this battle, this hatred started. Antisemitism is just crazy the way people hate the Jews, hate the nation of Israel for no reason. It's just absolutely insane. Thank you. Now God says in Genesis twelve three to Abraham, I'll bless those that bless thee and curse those that curse thee. And he says that in thee, in your seed, Abraham, all the nations of the earth would be blessed. So the Edomites had the chance to be blessed. We have the chance to be blessed because the Messiah comes forth. Jesus is a Jew. Whether you like it or not, he's a Jew. And we're not those that are like Martin Luther hated Jews. Martin Luther. And he was antisemitic and he didn't he was a replacement theology guy. He didn't think that the nation of Israel would ever come back from the ruins that it was in, that the church would take the place of of the nation of Israel, which is not true. Okay. Genesis 25. Twenty five? Five four five or No. Genesis 25. Genesis 25. Here we go. I'm sorry. Did we do it wrong? I did it wrong. Okay. Then again Abraham took a wife and her name was Keturah and she bore him Zimran and Josh and Medan and Midian and Ishbog and and Dedan and those Dedan. So Abraham's the progenitor of not just the Jews but also of Arab nations. Right? And the sons of Midian, that's why Muslims claim Abraham is their father also. And the sons of Midian, Ephah and Ephir and Hanak and Abida and Elah and and these were the children of Keturah. So you had a situation where Abraham would be his name means Abram, then Abraham, father of many nations. If you can remember the the the posterity that's come from you Abraham, the promise, it'd be as all the stars of heaven or the sand on the sea. Right? And so Sarah's womb is closed from from the time that she's 25 till she's nine, excuse me, 65 till she's about 90. But Abraham, he was he was potent and he went into Keturah who was an Egyptian and he brought forth, you know, Ishmael and now he's bringing forth all these Arab nations through Qatura. And he's he's an old guy, he's about a 120 years old now or even more, but but they lived longer in those days. And we don't go too far into that, but you can see. And these are the days of the of the years of Abraham's life which he lived a hundred and threescore and fifteen years, so 175 years old. Then Abraham died in a good old age of a man and full of years and was gathered with his people And his son Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the Cave At Mekvelah. That's the only piece of real estate that Abraham ever owned, the Cave At Mekvelah. That's where he buried his beloved Sarah. Yes, Thomas? Yeah. I got a scripture. Proverbs seventeen thirteen. Whosoever reward evil for good, evil shall not be far from his house. Thank you, Thomas. Thank you. That was Proverbs what? Proverbs what? Proverbs Oh, thank you. Proverbs 17 in case it didn't get Alright. To the people Caleb Macphilan, the field of Ephron, the son of Zorah, the Hittite, which is before Mamre. The field which Abraham purchased the sons of Heth, there was Abraham buried and Sarah his wife. So the family burial plot cave. Now this is interesting, little side note, this is the area of Hebron, and this is where David first started to reign as king for seven years, that of Hebron, then later to, you know, Mount Zion to Jerusalem. Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son whom Hagar the Egyptian serous handmaid bore unto Abraham, and these are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their names according to generations of firstborn of Ishmael, Nebiot, and Kedar, and Abdiel, and Mizbam, and Mishma, and Dumah, and Masa, Hidad, and Timah, Jeter, Nefesh and Kidma. These are the sons of Ishmael and these are the names by their towns and by their encampments, 12 princes according to their nations. And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years and he died and was gathered with his people and they dwelt from Hevelah under Shur that is before Egypt as thou goest to Assyria and he died in the presence of all of his brethren. And these are the generations of Isaac. Abraham's son Abraham begot Isaac and Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebecca his wife, the daughter of Bethuel, the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister of Laban the Syrian. And Isaac entreated the Lord for a wife because she was barren and the Lord was entreated by him and Rebecca's wife conceived and the children struggling together within her and she said, if it be so, why I am I thus? And she went in the choir of the Lord and the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb and two manner of people shall be born unto thee. Of the one people shall be stronger than the other people and the elder shall serve the younger. So who's the firstborn? Esau. Esau. And what's it say there? The elder shall serve the younger. That's not the way it normally is. It's the the elder one gets the birthright, gets the blessing, and is in a more of a leadership role. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were two twins in her womb, two nations and the first came out red all over like a hairy garment and they called his name Esau. Wow. Hairy. Hairy red. Red haired. Yep. I like I like red hairs. And after that came his brother out and his hand took hold on Esau's heel and his name was called Jacob, which means heel catcher. So Jacob, his character is gonna be that of a supplanter, a conniver, a weasel, you know. Any of you had any weasel brothers or sisters like that? Always undermining? And Isaac was three score years old when she bore him, so 60 years old. And now interesting, later Jacob is gonna meet his match in Laban. Laban does a whole switcheroo on him and it's gonna take twenty years for for Jacob to get out of Laban's household. He's gonna work seven years for the hand of Rachel, seven years for the hand of Leah, and then he's gonna work another six years for the sheep and all the goats and all the all the wealth that he has. And his wages are changed so many times and Laban was a real trickster and and Jacob Jacob has this character until God breaks him. And he's a guy that's gonna try and get what's coming to him in the arm of the flesh rather than waiting for God to do it in the power of the Holy Spirit. And the boys grew and Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field and Jacob was a quiet man dwelling in tents. That's funny. And Isaac loved Esau because he did eat his venison, but Rebecca loved Jacob, so you've got a divided home here. Right. You've got a divided mom and dad playing favorites and all. I have to say I might with my carnivore instincts, I I might be I'm well, if the other kid can cook it for me, I think I treat them both the same. One go get it, one cook it. Right? Right. And love on them both. Mama's boy. And Jacob boiled pottage and Esau came forth in the field and he was faint. So he's weak, he's he's it's hot climate and man, he's he's famished and nowadays we call it being hangry. You're hangry because you haven't eaten yet. And Esau said to Jacob, feed me, I pray thee with that same red pottage for I'm faint and therefore was the name called Edom red. Hey Red, and Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright. Really? Now you as a Christian, how much do you value your birthright? If the devil came along and said, sell me your birthright. Let's make a deal. How you know, the irony is how cheap we sell our souls. Just so cheap. Just a pot of stew. You really you're gonna for a pot of stew? You know? And what's it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul or what would a man give in exchange for his life? Jesus asked. Right? And and Esau, we're seeing his character. We're seeing he doesn't value the things of the spirit. He doesn't care. He's a man of the flesh. He has no faith, no faith in God. And Jacob said, sell me this day the birthright. Carnal verse spiritual. And Esau said, behold I am at the point I'm gonna die. What profit shall this birthright do to me?' So what do they have? They have like a contract? They have a ring? What do you do? Is it just an agreement? A verbal agreement? And Jacob said, 'Swear to me this day.' And he swore unto him and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils and he did eat and drink and rose up and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. But there's other things here too. Your brother's hungry. Wouldn't you give him a pot of stew without leveraging him? Can't you be loving and give him a pot of stew? Why take advantage of that that hunger that he has? So we wanna we wanna condemn Esau, but hey, there's the love on the other side, you know, the love that Jacob could have shown. So they're both conniving. They're both jockeying and for position. And and so then we go to chapter 27. Chapter 27. There's a lot of good stuff here in chapter 26, but we'll go to chapter 27. And it came to pass that when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim, the guy can't see. He doesn't have any spectacles. They don't do any cataract surgeries. He's he's he's going blind as he's getting older. So that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son and said unto him, my son. And he said unto him, behold here am I. And he said, behold now, I am old and now I know not the day of my death, which he's gonna live much longer than this. He's imagining that he's gonna die. Do Do you know the day of your death? Are you prepared? Get your house in order. Now therefore, take I pray thee thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow and go out to the field and take me some venison. So this was Isaac's favorite. I mean, you love rib eye, you love deer, you love elk, lambs, goats. He just likes some meat. He's not really a salad guy. And make me savory food such as I love and bring it to me that I may eat that my soul may bless thee before I die. So Jacob's got the birthright, now the and the boys did that between themselves, but Isaac is gonna give the blessing to his eldest son. Now Rebecca, she knows that the Lord prophesied, the Lord said the elders shall serve the younger. Isaac should know that too. So don't don't thwart God's plans. You know, God's saying that that the one that he loves is Jacob. In Romans chapter nine, God even says that. Romans chapter nine verse 13, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Isn't that interesting? And there's a separation there. God God despises the carnality. He despises the men of the flesh. He despises he loves them, but when they reject him and they choose the way of the flesh and there's that disparity. On the one hand, you have this great love for those that love the the life of the spirit, and on the other side, you have those that that don't desire the things of the Lord. They don't love the Lord. And so he says, now therefore take, I pray thee a weapon and quiver, okay, and my soul bless thee before I could die. So now they're living in tents, they've got artificial intelligence with cameras and speakers and they're listening to everything. Well, Rebecca's over there and she can hear. And Rebecca heard when Isaac spoke to Esau, his son, and Esau went to the field to hunt for venison and bring and bring it. He's a man's man. And Rebecca spoke unto Jacob her son saying, behold, I heard the father speak unto Esau your brother saying, bring me venison and there's a divided family here going on. And savory food that I may eat and bless thee before the Lord before my death. And now therefore my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee. Bad advice. This is gonna this poor lady, she's not gonna see her son ever again and she's not gonna see her grandkids. There's a price to be paid for meddling, right? And so go now to the flock and teach me from their fetch me from their two good kids of the goats and I'll make them savory food for your father such as he loves. So I've been cooking for this guy a long time and I'm gonna take a goat and make it taste like venison. I'm gonna cook it for your father and he's gonna have this food on Father's Day when she cooks. And thou shalt bring it to your father that he may eat and that he may bless thee before his death. So you're trying in the arm of the flesh to fulfill God's plan and purposes. Shouldn't do it that way, should wait, wait for the Lord to do it. And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, behold Esau my brother is a hairy man. Perhaps he will feel me. So he said when I go over near dad to get the blessing and once put his hand on head to pray over me and speak the blessing, he's gonna grab my arm and you know, I'm a bald guy, I don't have any hair. And Esau, he's hairy. He's red hairy. He's really hairy. He's like a bear. And how are we gonna do that? I'm a smooth man. My father perhaps will feel me and I shall seem to him as a deceiver and I'll bring a curse upon me and not a blessing. Wouldn't that be great if we as parents could bless our kids and curse our kids? Wouldn't it be great if they'd fear us like that? Man, if I don't obey dad, he might curse me. I'm gonna curse. You guys you guys straighten out or I'm gonna put a hex on you. I'm gonna curse you. These guys thought that could do it. You better straighten up. Straighten up, kid. You'll go away from your bald man. Alright. And his mother said to him, upon me by the curse my son, don't worry about it, I'll keep you from being cursed. Obey my voice and go fetch me them. And he went and he fetched and brought them to his mother and his mother made savory foods such as father loved and Rebecca took the choicest raiment of her eldest son Esau with her into the house and put them upon Jacob, her younger son, and she put the skins and the kids and the goats upon his hands and upon the smooth of his neck and she gave the savory food and the bread which she had prepared under the hand of her son Jacob and he came unto his father and said, my father,' and he said, 'here am I,' and he heard your heart on my son. Jacob said unto his father, I'm Esau, thy firstborn.' But when you start to lose one of your lose your sight, your ears should be getting better, right? There should be voice recognition and I'm Esau your firstborn, I've done according to all that you bade me arise, I pray thee and sit in eat of the venison that thou may bless me. Again, me, bless me. Let's make a deal. And Isaac said unto his son, how is it that thou has found so quickly my son? It's a miracle. It's a miracle. God's hands upon me. And he said, because the Lord thy God brought it to me. Oh. Now you're spiritualizing your lie, right? Bring God into it. And Isaac said unto Jacob, come near I pray thee that I may feel thee my son whether thou be my very son Esau or not. And Jacob went near and Isaac thy father and felt him and said, the voice is Jacob's voice but the hands are the hands of Esau. I got cold. And he recognized him not because his hands were hairy as his brother hands, so he blessed him. So he he was tricked. He bought into it. Do you think God was a part of that too? Do you think God kinda moved moved him in this way even though it wasn't done in the right way? Kinda well, you were trying to you were trying to disobey me, Isaac, and now you're reaping what you've sown. And he said, art thou my very son, Esau? And he said, am. And he said, bring it near to me and I will eat of my son's venison and thy soul bless thee. And he brought it near to him and did eat and brought him wine and he drank. It's always the wine. And his father Isaac said unto him, come near me now and kiss me my son. And he came near and he kissed him and he smelled the smell of his raiment and blessed him and said, see the smell of my son is as the smell of the field which the Lord has blessed, the prosperity. Therefore, God give thee of the dew of heaven and the fatness of the earth. So God bless you like a farmer, that as a farmer, the field would always be very prosperous for you and you look at Israel, how productive the land, you know, the farming is there and you think of Jacob when he goes to the house of Laban, how productive he is with the livestock and everything. Let people serve thee and nations bow down to thee, the Lord over thy brethren and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee, cursed be every one that curses thee and blessed he that bless thee. So divine favor upon you. And it came to pass as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob and Jacob was yet scarcely gone out from the presence of Isaac his father. Then Esau his brother came in from his hunting and he also had made savory food and he brought it unto his father and he said unto his father, let my father arise and eat of his son's venison that thy soul may bless me. And Isaac his father said unto him, who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau. And Isaac trembled very exceedingly and said, who, where is he that has taken venison and brought it to me? And I've eaten of all before thou camest and have blessed him. Yea and he shall be blessed. And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry and said unto his father, bless me, even me also, O my father. We all want to be in the bless me club, don't we? And he said, brother came with subtlety and has taken away thy blessing. Stolen blessing. No. God had promised it. And he said, is not he rightly named Jacob, that Jacob, that heel catcher, that supplanter, for he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright and behold now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, has thou not reserved a blessing for me? And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, behold, I have made him, now this can be hard to swallow for the elder brother, right? Behold, I have made him thy Lord and all his brethren have I given to him for thy servants and with grain with wine and I've sustained him and what shall I do now unto thee my son? Not a whole lot left. And Esau said unto his father, has not but one blessing my father? Bless me, even me also, oh my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept. And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, behold thy dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth and of the dew of the heaven from above. So a desert place and by the sword shalt thou live, so not a whole lot of peace and shall serve thy brother and shall come to pass when thou shall have the dominion that thou shall break his yoke from off his neck. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing, which his father blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, the days of mourning for my father are at hand, then will I slay my brother Jacob. So as soon as dad dies, I'm killing. I'm killing my brother. And these words of Esau, the elder son were told to Rebecca and she sent and called for Jacob, her younger son and said unto him, behold thy brother Esau touching thee does comfort himself pursuing to kill thee. Now therefore my son obey my voice again, obey your mom and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran and tarry with him a few days, just a few days, just a few days, twenty years he's gonna spend there until thy fury turn away, until thy brother's anger turn away for thee and he forgot that which thou has done to him, then I will send and fetch thee from there. Why be deprived also of both of my sons in one day? And Rebecca said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Hath. If Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Hath such as as these who are the daughters of can't read that. The land. The land. What good shall my life do me? So she's saying these people are defied, they're unbelievers, they're pagans, don't want Jacob to marry anyone like that. And then if we went into chapter 28, we'll we'll know that Esau heard what she said and he immediately went and married those of the the pagans to get mom and dad, you know, mad at him. And he says, and Isaac called Jacob and blessed him and charged him and said unto him, thou shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan, arise go to Padanaram to the house of Bethuel, your mother's father and take of thee a wife from there of the daughters of Laban, thy mother's brother. And God Almighty bless thee and make thee a fruitful multiply thee that thou mayest be a multitude of people and give thee the blessing of Abraham to thee and the seed with thee that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a sojourner with God gave unto Abraham. And Isaac sent away Jacob and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel, the son of Sirion, brother of Rebekah, Jacob and Esau's mother. When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent them away to Paddanaram to take himself a wife and there that he is, he blessed him and gave him a charge saying thou shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan, and that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother and was gone to Padanaram and Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac and his father, then went Esau unto Ishmael and took unto him wives which Mahalala the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nebiot to be his wife. And Jacob went out of Beersheba and went toward Haran. So now turn to chapter 32. Now in chapter 32, and before we read that, I wanna read what the writer of Hebrews says. In Hebrews chapter 12, lest there be a fornicator profane person like Esau who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know how afterward when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected for he found no place of repentance though he sought it carefully with tears. So remember when he cried to his dad? No place of repentance and that his dad could not reverse it. He couldn't reverse the the blessing that he placed upon Jacob, and and it just shows the the lack of the lack that Esau had for spiritual things. He just didn't have the heart for spiritual things. And so in chapter 32, and Jacob went on his way and the angel of God met him, and when Jacob saw him, he said, this is God's host and called the name of the place Mahanaim. And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau, his brother, under the land of Seir, the country of Edom. Now what's happening here is Jacob has left Laban after twenty years, and he's got his wives and his children. So you know he's got a lot of children. Right? So he's got concubines for Leah and and Rachel, and they're prolific. So he's he's got the 12 tribes of Israel here with him. Right? He's got the little ones. And and he when he winds up going down into Egypt, he goes down there as the 70. The 70 are gonna gonna go down in there, and but his name's gonna be changed. Alright. And so he says, and he commanded them saying, thus shall you speak my lord Esau thy servant Jacob say it, I have sojourned with Laban and stayed there until now. And I have oxen and asses and flocks and men servants and women servants and I have sent to tell my lord. So he's respecting Esau because Esau is coming with 400 soldiers. This is gonna be the first meeting between these brothers since what Jacob did. That I may find grace in his sight. So what he's trying to do, he's trying to send animals and livestock ahead to reach Esau to calm him down. He's trying to appease his anger. You know, I'm gonna see if I can get my brother to, you know, not kill me and my family. Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed and and divided the people that were with him, so he doesn't want us all in one bunch, and flocks and herds and camels in two bands and and said, if Esau come to the one company and smite it, then the other company which is left will escape. And Jacob said, oh God of my father Abrahams, you'd be praying, wouldn't you? And God of my father Isaac, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Lord who said unto me return unto thy country and to thy kindred and I will deal well with thee. I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies of all the all the truth which thou has shown unto thy servant. For with my staff I have passed over this Jordan and now I am become two bands. Deliver me I pray thee from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me and and the mother with her children. And thou and thou saidest, I will surely do the good and make the thy seed as the sand of the sea which cannot be numbered for multitude. Genesis twenty two seventeen. And he lodged there that same night and took of that which came to his hand to present before Esau's brother. 200 she goats, 20 he goats, 200 ewes and 20 rams. He's a very prosperous, very wealthy man twenty years later as he's coming out of out of the house of Laban. 30 milk camels with their colts, 40 cows, 10 bulls, 20 donkeys and 10 foals. And he so he's trying to get payback. And he delivered them into the hand of the servant every drove by themselves and said unto his servants, pass over before me and put a space between drove to drove. So let it come in in a little bit at a time. And he commanded the foremost saying, when Esau my brother meets thee and asked thee saying, whose art thou and where goest thou and where are these before thee? Then thou shall say, they are thy servant Jacobs. It is a present from my lord. So that he's basically saying, let's reconcile and can't we be friends? So he bowed behind us. And and so commanded he, the second and the third and all that followed the five droves saying, on what manner shall he speak unto Esau when he find him? So a means of appeasement, an olive branch and say ye moreover, behold thy servant Jacob is behind us for he said I will appease him with the present that goes before me and afterward I will see his face perhaps and he will accept of me. So went the present over before him and himself and lodged that night in the company and he rose up that night and took his two wives and his and his two women servants and his 11 sons and passed over the Fort Of Jabbok. And so Rachel's gonna have a baby at Bethlehem, that'll be the twelfth, and she's gonna die bringing forth Benoni, the son of my right hand. And he took them and sent them over the brook and sent over what he had. And so and Jacob was left alone, so he's trying to separate it out, set the family in a spot that's safe, and now he wants to go and be alone with the Lord. And he wants to have a a good night's sleep because tomorrow he doesn't know what brother Esau's gonna do to him. How do you sleep around that many kids? Right? So many diapers to change. And Jacob was left alone. Wayne knows. Wayne knows what like sleepless nights. And Jacob was left alone in the wrestled man with him until the breaking of the day. So now Jesus Christ shows up, the Messiah, Jesus, a pre incarnate appearance of Jesus. Let's see that again. And Jacob was left alone and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. So the WWF. Right? Nacho. So anyway, they get in a wrestling match and until the breaking of the day, now that's a long time to wrestle. I I read an article, I got a friend that does Brazilian jujitsu, Ken Geberson, and one of the guys that went there to wrestle with him, he's a he's a coral belt, so he's serious. He's been doing over forty years. But a guy that went there to kinda go on the mat with the guys said you have no idea how exhausting it is. But in a very short period of time, you've you've you have no strength left. So these guys that are that do this are very, very strong people. And Jacob is gonna do this all night long, and he's not gonna let go. He's not gonna let go until God blesses him. How long will you hold on? And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled with him. So how painful is a a hip out of joint? A shoulder out of joint. Right? Now when Jesus was crucified, his shoulder joints were out of joint. The weight of his body pulled down and and would disjoint just join him there. And death on a on a cross is death by asphyxiation. You can't breathe. So when they put that little piece of wood there for his feet to be upon or nailed, it's so that he can push up with his legs to get a breath so they can breathe. But in time, you're too weak to push up and you're hanging. You're just hanging there. Now your shoulder joints are out and your body's raging, raging with pain. And and that's how that's that's the death of crucifixion. Jesus, his last breath was into thy hands I commit my spirit. Right? And he gave up the ghost unto his father. So very, very painful, extremely painful. Jacob's thigh was out of joint, he wrestled with him and he said, let me go for the day breaks and he said, I will not let thee go except thou bless me. So the Lord Jesus is wrestling with Jacob trying to get him to let go, trying to get him to submit and he won't submit so the Lord cripples him and he still Jacob still won't let him go. Still won't let him go except thou bless me. And he said unto him, what is thy name? And he said, Jacob. Heel catcher. And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel. For as a prince has thou power with God and with men and has prevailed. So he won by surrender. He won by being broken. God has to break us. AW Tozer says, before god will use a man greatly, he must hurt him deeply. And so in Hosea Hosea chapter let's see. Hosea let me get there. We have a commentary in Hosea chapter 12 chapter 12 verse three, he took his brother by the heel in the womb and by his strength, he had power with God. Yay. He had power over the angel and prevailed. So in this wrestling match, it's like he prevailed. He won, but how did he win? Losing. By losing, that's right. By being broken, by being crippled. He wept and made supplication unto him. He found him in Bethel and there he spoke with us, even the lord god of hosts. The lord is his memorial. Ain't that amazing? Alright. So now back to Genesis. Can I can I ask you a question? No. But okay. Is so was it because of this wrestling match is why God loved Jacob? No. No. No. I didn't really do that. He'd already You think he's gonna love him because he's a good wrestler? No. No. But because Jesus blessed him is what I was wondering if that's why. Before time, the Lord loved Jacob because he knew that Jacob was seeking the things of the spirit, that that he he has a fleshly side. He has a his you know, like like, before you're born again. Yeah. But the lord knows ultimately, he's gonna align himself with the things of the spirit. That the purpose of his life is to bring forth the messiah. Oh. And god was not gonna do that through Esau because Esau had no desire, the Lord knew, no desire for the things of the spirit. Like, he went and married the bad women. Yeah. Okay. Cool. Cool. Thank you. And had no desire. No desire to know the God. So you have another two kids. You got Cain and Abel. So Abel has a desire for the things of the Lord and and follows orders, you know, and offers a blood sacrifice. Cain didn't and then was angry when God received Abel's offering and then goes and kills his brother. You know what I mean? Yeah. So I I just thank the Lord that that he chose us before the foundation of the earth. Right? Jesus is the lamb slain before the foundation of the earth. Charles Spurgeon says that's good because if the lord would have waited to see what we are like, he wouldn't have chose us. Right? So so it's it's out of joint, man. And he said, let let me go for the day breaks and he said, I will not let except thou bless me and he said, and then what is your name? Jacob. And he said, thy name shall be no more Jacob but Israel for as a prince in the power of God with with men and has prevailed. So his name, the name Israel means prince of God or governed by God. So he's a heel catcher, he's a conniver in his brokenness, in his limping, he's gonna walk away from their limping, gonna limp the rest of his life, but he's a new man because he's governed by God. No longer Jacob conniving, Jacob trying to do everything and fulfill God's plan purpose for his life in the arm of the flesh, but Jacob yielding to God, surrendered to God by the spirit. And Jacob asked him and said, tell me I pray thee thy name and he said, where does that thou does ask after thy name and he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel for I have seen God face to face and my life is preserved. And he passed over Penuel, the sun rose up upon him and he limped upon his thigh. Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew. So to this day the children of Israel don't eat the was it the shank part? What's it called? The sinew which which shrank which is upon the hollow of the thigh unto this day because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the in the sinew that shrank. So Jacob went on to dance like like a hip hop guy. His hip hop, that's what he did. And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked and behold Esau came. So look at that right after this. You know, you're so afraid. You're oh, my family, my kids, how can I protect them? Oh, Esau, you know, the whole thing and you have this moment with God, this time with God, this evening with God and now you're you're no longer afraid. You're not afraid. You're a man of faith. The blessings of God after you've been defeated by God. And Jacob lift up his eyes and looked and behold Esau came and with him 400 men and he divided the children under Leah and under Rachel and unto the two handmaidens. And he put handmaidens and their children foremost and Leah and her children after and Rachel and Joseph, last of all, the favorites. And he passed over before them and bowed himself to the ground seven times until he came near to his brother. So, you know, he humbled himself, he disarmed his brother, he showed respect And Esau ran to meet him. Look at that. That's a gift from God right there. That's a gift from God. Now, God blessed Esau enough that Esau doesn't care what Jacob has by this time. Even even the unbeliever, God's blessing. And Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him and they wept. And Jesus wept. And he lifted up his eyes and he saw the women and the children and said, what are those with thee? And he said, the children of whom God has graciously given thy servant. Then the handmaidens came near and their children and they bowed themselves. And Leah also with her children came near and bowed themselves and after him after the camel Joseph near and Rachel and they bowed themselves and he said, what meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, to find grace in your sight, my Lord. And Esau said, I have enough, my brother. Keep what thou has under thyself. And Jacob said, nay, I pray thee. If now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand for therefore have I seen thy face as thou had seen the face of God and thou was pleased with me. Take I pray thee my thy blessing which is brought to thee because God has dealt graciously with me and because I have enough and he urged him and he took it. So more blessed to give than to receive, Jesus said. Don't deny me the blessing of paying for your lunch, pastor Rick. Right? More blessed to give than to receive. Alright. In that case, I want a rib eye, tomahawk rib eye. Who's buying? Where are we going? The Lord. Tomahawk rib eye. Here we go. Okay. And he said, let us take our journey and let us go and I will go before thee. Now we're gonna study this on Sunday. You gotta be careful that you're not unequally yoked. It's great to see you, Esau. Great to be with you. Maybe we can meet again at some point, but the danger here is that the two had merged. They'd be emerging. God calls us to come out and be separate. Amen. Be separate from the world. Touch not the unclean thing. And so anytime we yoke up with darkness, there's trouble. And so come out from among and be separate, sayeth the Lord. Touch not the unclean thing and I'll receive you. And he said unto him, my Lord, knoweth that the children are tender and the flocks and the herds and the young men and if he would overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die. It's impractical. Let my Lord, I pray thee pass over before a servant and I will lead on softly according as the cattle. He's a shepherd. Right? He's a shepherd. Goeth before me because a shepherd can only go as fast as the slowest little lamb. You can't drive sheep. The purpose driven life, no, no, no. We don't drive. We don't drive sheep. Before me and children are able to endure until I come unto my lord unto Seir, unto Edom, unto Petra. See that? Esau said, let me now leave thee with some of the folk that are that are with me, and he said, what needeth it? Let me find grace in the sight of my lord. So Esau returned that day on his way unto unto Seir. And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, so Jacob the boost of the cattle therefore, time of the place called Succoth, and Jacob came to Shalem, city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan when he came from Padanaram and pitched his tent before the city. Alright. So now back to Ezekiel. So you got the picture? Mhmm. But the offspring of Esau and Jacob continued to hate each other. And yet the Jews, they fled from Nebuchadnezzar, they ran toward Basra. They ran toward Mount Seir. They ran toward Esau. They're cousins that maybe they'll help us. But ultimately, Esau's progeny, his people became very jealous of the Jews and God's blessing upon them, envious and jealous. And when God began to spank his own for their disobedience, they were saying raise it. Raise it. They were applauding what was happening. So God says, I'm gonna judge you. Verse 10, because thou hast said these two nations and these two countries shall be mine, So now you're plotting to the two nation solution. Peace in the Middle East. We're gonna have a two nation solution. Right? And these guys are imagining that we're gonna bring Jordan, we're gonna bring the area of Jordan of Moab and we're gonna merge it with Israel. We're gonna grow the boundaries, you know? And because thou hast said and the peace plans that they have today are to divide Israel, little tiny Israel to divide it. America better not get involved in that because God said I'll bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel. So if you're gonna broker a peace treaty, it better be exclusively Israel that you're trying to help. And because thou hast said, these two nations and these two countries shall be mine and we will possess them whereas the Lord was there. Therefore as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy which thou has used out of your hatred against them and I'll make myself known among them when I have judged thee. And so everyone's gonna know after I judge you, you you go to Petra today, there's no Edomites there. They're gone. And they're not gonna be regathered and be regathered in that area. And another weird thing about this area, Petra, Basra, Moab, it's an area during the tribulation period that God tells the antichrist, hands off. It's an area of refuge for the Jews to run to. Where else you gonna run? Where are you gonna go? But he doesn't have the sovereignty over over Moab, and that's found in Daniel chapter 11 verse 41. The Antichrist when when according to Revelation 12 verse six, they flee Jerusalem, this trying to get away from the Antichrist, they're preserved twelve hundred and sixty days which is three and a half years at Petra, at Basra, and and the antichrist doesn't have a, you know, jurisdiction over that. Spiritually speaking, the Lord preserves them there. And according to Micah, according to Micah chapter two verse twelve and thirteen, they're the sheep of Basra, they're the Lord's sheep of Basra. So so often people say that the Lord Jesus is gonna return to the Mount Of Olives, that his foot's gonna set upon the Mount Of Olives and it's gonna break in half, but that's not what it says in acts chapter one. It says, the same Jesus have you've seen him go and how did he go? Shall come in like manner. It doesn't say location to right there. It's talking about how he's gonna come in the sky. And so he's gonna return to Baserim. We'll get to there in a second. And blasphemies hath spoken against the mountains of Israel saying they are laid desolate and they are given to consume, so they've been lying. Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me. God takes it personal. Jesus said, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? And he said, who art thou Lord? I'm Jesus whom you're persecuting? Jesus identified with the Christians that were being persecuted by Paul. So thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard them. Thus saith the Lord God when the whole earth rejoices I will make thee desolate. So the whole world's gonna rejoice when the Lord restores Israel in the land and when Jesus returns and sets up his kingdom but you guys are gonna be desolate. As thou did rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate so I do unto thee. Thou shall be desolate o Mount Seir and all Edom, even all of it and they shall know that I am the Lord. So in Matthew twenty five thirty one through 46, God's gonna judge, the Lord Jesus is gonna judge the sheep and the goats and those that treated Israel good are gonna enter into the kingdom. Those that treated Israel bad onto hell. Now turn to Isaiah chapter 63. Remember he says here, thus saith the lord god, when the whole earth rejoices, I'll make thee desolate. Isaiah 63. Now here is where Jesus returns. This is the location that his foot he's coming in the sky. Right? He's gonna destroy the Antichrist according to second Thessalonians chapter two with the brightness of his coming, the sword of his mouth. And he's going to rescue that remnant that's there in Basra, at Petra, because they're crying out, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. The Antichrist is finally pursuing. He's pursuing the Jews, his armies are in the Valley Of Megiddo, of Armageddon. It's a 200 mile battlefield and Jesus and the and the powers of the Antichrist, his armies are converging upon that small remnant of Jews. You see the picture? And Jesus returns to Basra and watch what he does. This is a song that we sing in America. Who is this that comes from Edom with dyed garments from Basra? So he comes here, he rescues this remnant, And then he's going to stomp the enemy. The blood is gonna be as high as the horse's bridle. And then he's gonna go up into Jerusalem at the Mount Of Olives into the city. That's the picture. That's called a triumphal entry. His triumph. Okay? So Edom with dyed garments from Basra is glorious in his apparel traveling in greatness of his strength. I who speak righteousness mighty to say, apparel and garments like him who treads the wine fat. So when you go in into a wine fat and you're stomping the grapes, what happens? Cover the grapes. You're everything's gonna be all purple on you. Right? Red. Red. Now, a little footnote here, if you're as sick as I am, just Google Google this picture of this woman that was trying to stomp in the near San Francisco in barrels of wine and the grapes and the cameras were all on her and everything. And just that's that's how I roll. Alright. All the haters all the haters just just stop. Stop right now. Just stop. I'm gonna be me. Alright? Alright. My garments like him who treads in the wine fat. I have trodden the wine press alone. My wife's laughing and she gets me, she gets me. I've trodden the wine press alone. So did he need any help? Does No. He need the church to help him fight the antichrist, the beast, the false prophet, all that? No. He's gonna destroy him with the brightness of his coming, the kind of glory. Right? And the sword of his mouth. And so I've trodden the winepress alone and of the people and there was none none with me for I will tread them in mine anger and trample them in my fury and their blood shall be sprinkled upon the garments and I will I will stain all the raiment for the day of vengeance is in my heart and the year of my redeemed has come. The second coming of Jesus. Right? And Jude says with the church, we're gonna come as we watch him rescue the nation of Israel. And I looked and there was none to help and I wondered that there was none to uphold, therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me and my fury had upheld me. So Jesus doesn't doesn't need our help. We are privileged to be able to serve him and for him to work through us. And I'll tread down the people in mine anger and make them drunk with my fury and I'll bring down their strength to the earth. And so God's gonna pour out his wrath during the tribulation period and culminating, peaking with his second coming at the end of the seven years and he's gonna come and he's gonna rescue his own, gonna subdue the armies of the earth, gonna grab hold of the devil, and angels gonna grab hold of the devil and put him in the abyss, and the antichrist, the false prophet, are gonna lay there dead on the ground, and then the armies are gonna be stomped, blood as high as the horse's bridled. And where? Petra. So Petra, the people of Esau, the Edomites are rejoicing because Israel has just been destroyed, Judah's been destroyed, Nebuchadnezzar's destroying the temple and all, and they're crying out raise it raise it raise it. It comes down upon their head. God says, you guys are gonna be gone. I'm gonna destroy you. You're never gonna rise up again. But my people, although they're gonna be disciplined and scattered all over the earth, ultimately, at the end of the age, where I'm gonna preserve them is in the rock city of Petra, Basra, and Mount Seir is another name for this location. And and then I'm gonna set up my kingdom and rule and reign with a rod of righteousness for a thousand years. Amen. Alright. So look at that. Perfect time. That's perfect. Win. We win. We win. Right? Because we're with the winner. We're with Jesus. Winning. Winning. Right? Okay. Winning. Alright. Any other comments or questions? Anything? We don't wanna be a wider. We wanna be a winner. Right. I got a hanky for you if you're gonna lie. Anybody need prayer? We got time to pray for you? Pray for my sister Judy, pastor. Alright. So come in here, Steven, on camera and pray for her. We'll agree with you. For you guys listening on Facebook, we got people all over the place in this house, everywhere. Gracious Lord Jesus, we just thank you and praise you for this gathering that we have that you say we can gather together in the name of Jesus and whatever we ask. As if it's according to your will, we will receive it. And, Lord, we just come before you for my sister Judy, Lord, and this trial and tribulation she's going through. We just rebuke the power of the devil and Yes, Lord. Command authority over the principalities of darkness. And we just ask, Lord, that you put ministering angels around her and a hedge of protection around her, and, Lord, that you would heal her, Lord, and give her a testimony, Lord. She she loves you so much and would love to serve you, but she's being just tormented extremely, Lord. So bring her through this with a a better testimony, Lord. Yes, Lord. Heal her in Jesus Lord. Heal her. Give her your peace, Lord. Yes. And, Lord, I lift up my dad as he's in the hospital. I pray that you heal him. Give the doctors wisdom that he could be released and go home. And we lift up Ivan and Donna's friend, Ben Bartlett. We pray for him and his family. And everybody else on the prayer list, Lord, we lift them up to you. You know who they are, and, just bless, bring healing in your wings, Lord. Help Rob get over his cold. Anybody else need prayer? In Jesus' name, amen.
