Let's pray. Father, thank you so much that Rob and Vicky owned their home and the meal we had and Sean's birthday and that you're on the throne. You're in control that men can become blowhards and say a lot of things, Lord. But you said we'll know them by their fruit, by their actions, the things that they do. So, Lord, we just we just wait for you to let your plans be known. We're trusting in you, Lord. Our eyes are upon you. We pray that you nourish us tonight in your word in Ezekiel 20 that our faith would increase. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. And, lord, bless the time of worship and prayer as as mommies here have concerns about their babies and children. And we thank you for, Britney that she her baby came forth okay, little, Tobias, and, just bless them. Help them to rehab. Be with James' wife, Sally, Lord. Heal her body of the cancer. Be with Gary. Heal him of his cancer. And, help Alan Cora get stronger and stronger, Lord. Help Vicky get stronger and help Steve as he fell down, Lord. He's pretty strong, and he'll bounce back okay, but be with him and Thomas, and thank you for them. And we just commit this night into your hands, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I left nobody out too bad. I heard Vicky screaming. Man, I made my mom. Holiness holiness is what I long for. Holiness is what I need. Holiness holiness Righteousness, righteousness, righteousness is what I long for. Righteousness Amen. Praise the lord. Thank you. Ezekiel chapter 20. Ezekiel 20. So when we get to chapter thirty six and thirty seven, we're going to be seeing the prophecy pertaining to the nation of Israel. Couple thousand years before it happens, God brings them back together in the land and forms a forms a nation. Right? And and then we have future, Ezekiel thirty eight and thirty nine, which hasn't happened yet, where a coalition of nations come against the nation of Israel which is in the land and tries to take the spoil. Bad idea. God's gonna destroy five out of every six of that invading force. So, theoretically, you could or not theoretically, you could take and write fulfilled on all these chapters. All these chapters are fulfilled until we get to thirty eight and thirty nine. Right? '30 six and '37, thousands of years, commentators and Christians waiting for Israel Israel dispersed since seventy AD all over the world. Right? Wherever they went, they could be a French Jew, a, you know, Mexican Jew, Iranian Jew, but they were always a Jew. They maintained their who they are and not necessarily so with a Philistine or an Assyrian or a Canaanite or these other nations that were Moabites, you know, Ammonites. They're all gone, but we've got we still have some Egyptians, some nations still. The Babylonians would be the Iraqis. The Persians would be Iran. The Medes are the Kurds, Northern Iraq, Medes and the Persians. Alright. Chapter 20. So god is gonna rehearse their history. He's gonna talk about the first generation, the second generation, can talk about their fathers, like Stephen did when he was being interrogated when he was he reminded them of their fathers like Jesus did. He reminded them of their fathers, the unfaithfulness of their fathers, and which of the prophets did not your fathers kill? You know? And because the Jews would try to pride themselves on their lineage, on their pedigree, on their fathers. And and and so even even in John eight when he's there with the pharisees, Jesus said, your father's the devil. And they tried to say that Abraham was their father. And Jesus said, Abraham rejoice to see my day, and he saw it and he was glad. He says, father's actually the devil, and he was a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Can you imagine Jesus being that insensitive? I mean, I mean, he he he risked offending them. You know? He might have offended them. And I just oh, I just can't believe it. He needs sensitivity training, I think, or something. Alright. Let's pray. Father, we pray that as we as we study here that we not get overly touchy feely. We pray, Lord, that you administer to our spirit and that we'd be able to discern between right and wrong, that we'd be able to glean and learn from past mistakes of those that have gone before us, Lord, and that we'd be able to discover just how we might gain victory that we not be a defeated people in these last days. Lord, we're so close to the finish line. And the apostle Paul was able to say that he finished his course, that he fought a good fight. He knew that his his time was up, that he faithfully served you. And, Lord, there's much work to do as we as we see up ahead the dots connecting, Lord, your soon return. And, and, Lord, we wanna occupy. We wanna be about our father's business. We pray that you would, give us open doors that no man can shut, Lord, that we'd be sensitive, leading, guiding of your spirit as, Lord, you're drawing multitudes of people under yourself. We thank you for the recent Tucker Carl overview of millions of Muslims coming to Christ in The Middle East, fastest growing church in the world in Iran. And, lord, it's really hard to hate your enemy when something like that's happening. And so I pray that we not fall into the propaganda as the media and as the devil sells war. We pray for peace, lord. We pray for calm. We pray for, lord, that our children have a little reprieve before the all the crazies are unleashed. So bless, we pray, Lord. Bless this time. Teach and instruct us, we ask in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright. Acts 20. And it came to pass. Don't you love it when it came to pass? It came, but it came to pass. And, I like that. It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the lord and sat before me this August fourteenth five ninety one BC. And so how many years till the temple's gonna be burned to the ground? About five years away, May. So they've been they've been taken as deported from Jerusalem, and they're in Babylon, and Ezekiel's there. And some of the elders that are there, the nobility and such, they the older leadership kinda guys, they come to talk to Ezekiel. And verses one through 31, Ezekiel's gonna rehearse for them their past rebellion. What's the difference between sinning and rebelling? Continuous. Continuous. Continue in sin. Have you ever raised any kids, Thomas? No. You don't know what we're talking about then? Well, I have You've been a you've been a kid, though. Right? Spiritual children. Okay. You've been a kid, though. When you were growing up, did you rebel against authority, rebel against your parents? It comes on the family line. How did they correct you? How'd you get back on the straight and narrow? Okay. Well, you had a good father. Amen. Amen. Are you first generation Christian? Second, third? What are you? I'm not sure. Were was your family Christian? Yes. Yes. And probably their their family was Christian. Okay. So you might have been a third generation. Anybody here a first generation Christian? Cheryl, nobody in your family has been a Christian? They're all Catholic. They're all Catholic? Okay. Do they have any saving faith in Jesus as Catholics? Saving faith. If they died today, would they go to heaven based upon salvation by grace through faith alone? They always say My mom is a really big person, and I believe my grandma's in heaven. Okay. That's really sentimental. Yeah. I know. When your parents say, hey. This is gonna hurt me more than you, you don't believe it. Right? I want you to know that you know that you know that you're safe. Right? And none none of us I like to think my mom's in heaven too. My grandma. Yeah. I I believe that she's got hurt. Mother used to say Okay. Don't get there by being good people. There's none good, none righteous, no not one. Alright. We're gonna get going. Alright. So August '91. Rob's worried that we won't get these 43 verses in, so I gotta really hustle. Alright? Then came the word of the Lord unto me saying, son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel and say unto them, thus saith the lord god, are you come to inquire of me? As I live, saith the lord god, I will not be inquired of by you. Make an appointment. Past talking. We are past the point of talking. It's time for action. Imagine Jeremiah there for forty years talking with these guys. Forty years talking. I'm so sick of talking. Everybody's talking right now about what's gonna happen. We have to wait and see, don't we? It's time to act. And in Isaiah chapter one, verse 15, the Lord told him a similar thing. Like, we're past the the time of talking. You guys won't listen to me. And and then he says, come now and let us reason together. You know? So he says, and when you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you. Yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. So some of us are just religious. We just go through the motions, and then we lift up our prayers. We lift up our hands in praise. We sing to the lord. And we're married. We have a husband. We have a wife, but we're raising our hands in church as we're committing adultery. I have people I've had many people in the church like that. They're married, come to church, raise their hands, praise the lord, but they're they got boyfriends, they got girlfriends. They don't think anything wrong with it. And I I stopped and I knocked on the door of one guy and gal, and I have to qualify, first of all. Have to qualify. If they're not a Christian, then I can vote for a president Trump as a secular president. I have to qualify. Soon as he steps over that line, he says he's a Christian, then he's accountable to the word of God. And nobody can run unaccountable. You know? So anyway, you knock on the door and you say, are you Christians? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're Christians. And, well, why are you committing adultery? Fornication. Do you guys think you're going to heaven? Oh, yeah. We're going to heaven. We're going to heaven. Well, the bible says adulterers and fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God. What do you think of that? Get out of here. Get out of here, pastor. Get out of here. We were gonna give you some wine. No. Just kidding. You know? So they don't like to be confronted because people have watered the word of God down so far that you're not allowed to judge behavior. You know, you're a hater. You're a bigot. You know? Well, everybody's a sinner. Well, there's a difference between sinning and rebellion. Rebellion is persisting continuing in sin. And that's the part that God has to judge. And God's long suffering, God gives us space to repent. And David had a year to repent, but he didn't repent. And then the Lord sent Nathan the prophet to confront him with his sin, that he was covering because he was king and he could get away with it. Right? But Moses tells us our sin will find us out. And if you persist in sinning, in rebellion, God in his love for you according to Hebrews 12, he's gonna take you out like Thomas's dad did. Whom the Lord loves, he chastens every son, every daughter. Those that don't receive chastening aren't the children of Thomas's dad. You know? He's not gonna spank the neighborhood kids. Right. And so the lord's not gonna spank children that aren't his. But if you do belong to him, he's gonna lovingly train you up. He's gonna lovingly use pressure, use pain to try and gain repentance, to see if you'll come to the place of repentance. And so when you spread spread your hands like that, I'm not I'm not gonna do it. He says, wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes, cease to do evil. So the Lord's saying, repent. I'm giving you space to repent. Learn to do well, seek justice, Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widows. Quit talking. Tired of you just talking. Love not just in word only, but indeed and in truth. Let's see your actions. He says, come now and let us reason together. So if we confess our sin right, so they must come to the place of confession. Come now and let us reason together, saith the lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they'll be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword. So it's our choice. Which way do you wanna go? You wanna go the narrow way that leads life eternal? Or you wanna go the broad way that leads to destruction? It's God gives us a choice. And one of the things that I wrote on the Tucker Carlson thing of over a million Muslims coming to faith is Christianity does not force the infidel to believe. Right? Islam, when they dominate, jihad is domination. So when they infiltrate Europe, when they overwhelm Dearborn, Michigan, and they're crying out for Sharia law, when they finally get the upper hand through immigration, invasion, whatever it may be, then they eventually reach a place where they enforce the Sharia law. And Christians, Jews, infidels, they have a choice. They can convert, say Allah Akbar, or in some cases they can pay a tax to the Muslims. And in many cases, they're executed for refusing to believe. But none of those people in Iran that are believing in Jesus, that's not the way the gospel's presented. We present the gospel through the foolishness of preaching, and it's a message of love, and it's a message of free will. So the people choose to believe or choose to rebel, and god respects the power of choice because in order for the relationship that he's designed, which is a love relationship to be meaningful, it needs to be based upon free will. He's not gonna hold a gun to our head and said, you will love me, and you will do what I say. You know? Now he can make you willing. Jonah, give you a fish. Right? The bees. But he doesn't he doesn't want mechanical robotic love. He doesn't want you know, he's the one with the creator. He could I mean, how many wives does Elon Musk have? How many robots does he have? You know? I'm sure he wants the women in his life to truly love him and not love him for his money, not mechanically put a chip in their head while I put watch me. I'll push this button. She'll say, oh, I love you. You're the smartest guy on the planet. God doesn't want that kind of phoniness. It's gotta be real. So he gives us the power of choice, and and love's a great thing when it's real. And so he says, thus saith the Lord God, are you come to inquire of of me? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be inquired of of you. Will you judge them, son of man? Will thou judge them? Cause them to know the abomination of their ways. And so part of the job of the pastor, part of the job of the Christian is to define truth, to be able to confront aberrant behavior or things that are going on in the culture. And rather than going along to get along, just take the word of God, quote the word of God, let the word of God do what it's supposed to do, and get out of the way. And people will freak out because you, you know, exposed what they're trying to bring into conformity to their own will. And you expose it with the word of God, you say, hey. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. It's not me that's saying it. God's saying this. It's God's word that's saying this. God's word is saying homosexuality is wrong. It's it's not I'm not picking on anybody. Adultery is wrong. Line, cheating, stealing is wrong. And so we have the mosaic law, a Judeo Christian ethic in America that our jurisprudence systems was based upon. It wasn't based upon Sharia law. He says in Isaiah 59, behold the lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your god, and your sins have hidden his face from you that he will not hear. And so there's a point where the lord says you've gone too far. I will not hear. You don't have access. And for us as Christians, what does our access stem from? How why is it we as Christians have access to God that he will hear our prayers? Jesus. Amen. Because of Jesus. So we as Christians, husbands, Peter says, take knowledge of your wives, lest your prayers be hindered. So a husband's praying, praying, praying, but his prayers are just hitting the wall. God's saying, hey. You've quenched the spirit. You're you're grieving me. You're not taking knowledge of your wife. You're not taking knowledge of her. You're being selfish. You're not loving her like Christ loved the church. So a husband's prayers can be hindered because he doesn't take knowledge of his wife. Our prayers can be hindered because we have unconfessed sin. So we if we say we have no sin, first John, we're a liar and the truth isn't in us, then it's not a matter of, say, rebellion, but maybe we're trying to cover our sin rather than confessing. So when we confess our sin, then we get the Christian's bar of soap. He's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. And so we don't have any anything hindering fellowship. We don't lose our salvation, but we can hinder, we can quench, we can grieve the holy spirit by sinning and being insensitive to the leading guiding of the spirit. And so God wants us to be sensitive to the leading guiding. And if the holy spirit's convicting your heart, don't try to cover cover it up with justifying it or rationalizing it or bullying or whatever it may be. Just simply agree with the holy spirit and on the side of grace. Be gracious. And and your prayers will be, you'll have access to come boldly before his throne of grace to find the mercy and the help in the in your time of need. Remember the Pharisee and the publican that were praying? Remember the story? Luke 18? How did Jesus describe the Pharisees' prayer? What is a Pharisee? A religious leader, very self righteous. Right? He's praying unto himself. And Vicky says he's praying to himself. His prayers weren't even reaching God. Mhmm. Right? Because of his pride. And he was priding himself on he was better than everybody else. And the publican who is a hated tax collector, how how did he pray? Humbly. Humbly. Yes. And his posture was such that he wouldn't even lift up his eyes into heaven. Smote his breast. Says, god, be merciful to me, a sinner. Jesus said, this man what? He went the way justified. And what's justified mean? Justified. There you go. That's it. It's the blood of Jesus, God's son that continually cleanses us of all unrighteousness. So it's his blood. If the devil ever tries to condemn you, you just mention the blood. You don't try to make excuses or I'll do better or you just don't know my husband. You don't know my wife. You don't know my mom and dad. You don't know my boss. No. You just say, you know what? Jesus loves me. This I know for the Bible tells me so. So wilt thou judge them son of man? Wilt thou judge them cause them to know the abominations of their their fathers. So no denial false assumptions. And say unto them, thus saith the Lord God, in the day when I choose Israel lifted up mine hands under the seat of the house of Jacob made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt when I lifted up mine hand unto them saying, am the Lord your God. And there's a pledge of love there where the Lord identifies with these slaves, these 70 that turned into a couple million people over four hundred and thirty years. He's gonna identify with them. In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them to bring them forth from the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which the glory of all the glory of all lands. And so the Lord says my intention was to raise up a messiah, a savior. And so in order to do that, he had to first find a man. And who's that man that he found? Moses. Abraham. Oh, Abraham. Abram. And where was Abraham? Abraham was an of the Chaldeans, and Abraham was an idolater. Right? Son of Terah. His father was an idolater, idols. And God grabbed hold of Abram and his kissing cousin Sarah, and they left everything. And if you read in Hebrews 11, they're leaving by faith. And God's gonna show them. They're looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. And God gave them promises. She's 65, he's 75, and it wasn't until he's 100 and she's 90 that the fruition of that promise. In your seed, all nations of earth would be blessed. So God brought forth the Messiah, the Jews from the loins of Abraham and the Abrahamic covenant. And then from Abraham, you got Ishmael and you got Isaac. And Isaac shall thy seed be called. And then Isaac and Rebecca, and they have Esau and Jacob. Then Jacob has 12 tribes, and then the tribe the kingly line is the tribe of Judah. And so now you've got Joseph who goes before them into slavery, and he's in Egypt. He's god's using him as a type of Christ to prepare the way. And he spent seventeen years until the time of his public ministry at 30 being second to that of only pharaoh. And god caused a famine in the land where Jacob was. His name is Heel Catcher. And and because of that famine and the boys go and get food and then Joseph keeping Benjamin, the son of his right hand, then Jacob was compelled to travel on into Egypt, the 70. And the Egyptians gave him the area of Goshen, and the pharaoh was favorable toward that first generation. And then there came a pharaoh that knew not Joseph, and then there was heavy, heavy, heavy task massacres upon them. And so now they're multiplying. There's a couple million of them, and God shows his power by taking on the most powerful leader of the time, that of pharaoh. And you know the story, parts of Red Sea, and this nation's being being taken into a land, flown with milk and honey that god intended to bring forth this nation. He wanted to raise up this nation because within this nation, he'd bring forth the Messiah. Jesus is a Jew. I heard recently in Amsterdam there was some antisemitism against Jewish sports that was taken on. And two Israeli airplanes came in and airlifted out 200 Jews who were being beat up and and accosted by some Muslims there in a I think it's a soccer tournament in Amsterdam. And so antisemitism continues. The devil thinks that if he can destroy the Jews, then Jesus won't have anybody to return to. Do you realize that? Mhmm. If he can destroy the Jews, then there won't be anybody to return to. If I'm Haman and I'm plotting to destroy the Jews, that's really the devil wanting to destroy all the Jews. If I'm Herod the Great and I'm wanting to destroy all the babes of Bethlehem, two years old and under, it's really the devil wanting to destroy the Messiah from ever being able to come. All through the Bible, the devil's trying to destroy the Jews and to stop what he knows because he's a good Bible student. What he knows is is coming. When Jesus came to the two at Gadara, the demons that were inside these two men said, we know who you are Jesus. Right? Have you come to torment us before our time? They know their destiny. Many of us don't know what time it is. We don't know our destiny. We don't know God's plan or purpose for our lives. We're walking through life aimlessly. And and the demons, they believe in God and they tremble. They have a healthy fear of God. So land flown with milk and honey, then said I unto them, cast away every man the abomination of his eyes. In Job thirty one one, Job said he made a covenant with his eyes that he wouldn't look upon any evil thing. So what's that mean? Cut out the If your eye causes you sin, cut it out. Cut it. Are there things that come through the eye gate that defile us, that are impure, that bring impurities into our home, into our life, through our phones Yeah. Through television, through billboards and media. Things come into our lives through the ear gate, through our ears, the senses. And and so he's saying that you have these these fertility gods and goddesses in your home. You have these statues with multi breasted, you know, women and phallic symbols that are designed to incite, designed to stimulate a person physically. And the dopamine's going off in your heads. You're getting addicted to this stuff. And I told you, I don't want you loving anybody but me. I want you to love me. This is a spiritual adultery. You're going after these false gods. That which the Gentiles worship, they're actually worshiping demons. It's demons behind these things and it's demonic. And so you're defiling yourself with the idols of Egypt. I am the lord your god. So he wants these people to be a peculiar people, not like the world, to to exercise purity and holiness under the lord. But they rebelled like Thomas did. They rebelled against me and would not hearken unto me. They did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said, I'll pour out my fury upon them to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. And so God God didn't want them to bring the filth of Egypt. He wanted to set them aside and get them out of Egypt. And then later on, when a group of guys were angry at at Moses, they said, hey, we're gonna go back into Egypt. We we miss the savory foods and all that. Egypt is a type of the world. We're gonna go back into the world. And God's taken them out of the world into the promised land to live a life of dependency, faith, and trust in him that he would provide, that he would be their king. And but I rot for my namesake, and he's gonna say this several times, for my namesake. Israel, God raised up Israel to be a light under the Gentiles for his namesake, that God would be glorified. And and David when David sinned, that it should not be polluted before the nations among whom they were in whose side I made myself known unto them in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt. So the surrounding nations, the nations that are watching my dealings with you, when you walk in obedience unto me, you glorify me. You glorify my name. When you're defiled and you begin to adopt the things of the around the nations around you, And the nation of Israel actually became better at sinning than the nations. They actually did greater sin than the nations. The nations were able to look at them and say, man, we're bad, but you guys are really bad. You're really bad. And so one of the things that Nathan the prophet said to David was, David, you've given great occasion of the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme his name. David, you're better than that. You're called to a higher purpose. You're called to represent god. And he's been good to you. He took you from the tending of the sheep when you're a nobody, and he made you prolific. You killed Goliath and you're very famous and I gave you riches and I gave you wives and gave you position and family and all these things, why would you take another man's wife? Why would you steal another man's little ewe lamb, the only lamb that he had? You've got a harem of women. If you needed more women, why don't you talk to me? You know? And David was about in his fifties and it was a time of idleness rather than being busy doing what god had called him to do. It was a time when kings go out to battle, and he was idle in the palace. And his idle hands found something evil to do. And so I made myself known unto them in bringing, in the Exodus, bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt. Wherefore, the first generation, verse 10, wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. And so this this is an area of private discipline. It's an area of God causing little trials here and there. So, you know, so often when we're first married and we're brand new Christians and all, you know, everything's being done by faith. You know? And the car breaks down. Oh, how are we gonna get it fixed? We don't have any credit card. Don't have any money. And that's the kind of stuff that was happening to them. They didn't have any water. Something basic is water. So the Lord's testing them. He's letting them see their own hearts. And they start murmuring, complaining, whining. And the Lord tells Moses to smite the rock and the water comes out. Right? And they need food. And the Lord doesn't even make them work like they were slaves in Egypt. They didn't even have to work. They just go out each morning with a basket and I go get angels food. Right? Angel food cake, manicotti, you know, all that stuff. And they bring baskets of it. And they can't hoard it. They have to go out each day. Right? So each day we go out and feast upon the bread of life. Right? Can't eat yesterday's manna. And so I was we're in the word of God, the Lord nourishes us, and then they come bored with Jesus. I'm bored. I'm bored with church. It's not exciting enough. You know? That pastor, man, all he talks about, you fill in the blank. You know? And he needs to be more sensational. They did eat the same thing for forty years. But it's angels food. It's a good thing. I'd get so bored. You're so honest. Well, couldn't they eat other stuff? I mean, they never got sick before they even their shoes didn't wear out. They were in the desert? Yeah. Their shoes didn't wear out. Maybe they didn't have shoes. There's no. They had sandals that says they're nothing wore out. God sustained them. They didn't get sick or nothing. I mean, they we should be grateful. And you can put some can't you put some spices on it, cook it a different way? How many different ways can you make eggs? You know? Right? Anyway, they god gave them quail, and they still complain. Gave them meat. They were carnivores. They had it come out their nose, hitting homers of it. Were there chickens on the ark? No. Just the eggs. Save room. Dinosaur eggs too. Alright. So we're not gonna get through this, Rob. No. We're not. She keeps telling me. Alright. Are we learning anything? Mhmm. Yes. Okay. That's all that's important. Patience. Yeah. I learned I don't have a early meeting anymore. Are you still going to Idaho? Be content with your And I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances. So the Lord gave them the law. Gave them the 10 commandments. So now you've got now you've got a body of truth to govern your life by, to be governed, to be governed by God's word. And so you're not you're not existential. It's not every man doing that which is right in his own eyes. He's letting you know, don't have any idols. Love me above everything else. Love me with all your heart, your mind, all your soul, and your strength. You know, don't mess around with your neighbor's wife. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. You know, so he gives them a 613 precepts in the Mosaic law, but ten ten basic things to live your life by, and all of it summed up in the love. One word. Love. Just love. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said, these two are all the law and the province. Right? So there are new people. They need to be taught. The Lord's teaching them. He's gonna teach them. He's gonna groom them. He's gonna help them. They're gonna be distinctly different than the nations around them. The nations around them, they get into idolatry. The nations around them have unwanted pregnancies and orgies, and they take these babies and they give them the Baal and the Molech and they burn them. They abort them. They kill them. They sacrifice babies. That's not even something a concept that comes even into the mind of God. It's not the way he wants to be loved. He's the opposite. The way he loves, he's gonna give his son to be crucified upon the cross of Calvary. He's not asking you to sacrifice somebody else's son or your son or daughter. He wants you to die. He wants you to sacrifice yourself. Be a living sacrifice. And so moreover also he gave them statutes and showed them mine ordinances. If if a man do, he shall even live in them. And so and Moses, when he went up there for the forty days to receive the the law, they're alone. Right? And they start saying that Moses isn't coming back. Right? And Joshua is there at the base of the mountain. Die if you any animals, anything go that way. And Joshua is waiting, and they're coming back with the Decalogue, the 10 commandments. And Joshua says, what's that noise? It sounds like the noise of war. And Moses says, no. It's not the noise of war. It's the noise of these people playing sexually. They had a huge sexual orgy that broke out, and they demanded of Aaron, Moses' brother, that he would fashion a golden calf for them and that they could worship the idols of Egypt. And then Aaron, second in command. Right? Maybe third, second, and then Joshua after him, I guess. But anyway, he's a he's a priest. He's gonna be the priest, high priest. And when he's confronted about it, all these earrings and all this gold and all, he he wouldn't even take responsibility. He said, you know, we just put the gold down on the ground there, and it just this calf popped out. This calf popped out. You know? And so God had Moses grind it up and made them all drink it and all and broke the Decalogue. And Moses went back up a second time to get the 10 commandments. And and they were a stiff necked and rebellious people. So rebellious. And over also, I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between me and them that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctified them. So what kind of sign did the Lord give Noah? Rainbow. How many colors? Multi. How many colors in the rainbow? The Noahic rainbow? Different than the gay people rainbow. Seven. Seven. Yeah. Yeah. Heard of a kid named Seven. Yeah. And It's still god's rainbow to me. And what was the sign that god gave to Abraham that in his seed, all the nations of earth would be blessed? Provided a lamb. Circumcision. Oh, that's right. Circumcision. Circumcision on the males is a sign of being a Jew. Yeah. And the Sabbath was a sign for the Jews of this covenant, not for Gentiles. Only the Jews keep the Sabbath. And the Sabbath is Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset. And we worship the Lord on the first day of the week. Right? The resurrection. But one Romans, we learn one man esteems one day above another another man every day alike. Here we are Monday night. We could meet again tomorrow night. We as New Testament Christians, we don't just wait for a Sabbath. You know? We work six days, and it's nice to have a rest. There may be benefits of the Mosaic law. We're not under that law. There may be benefits of hygiene and dietary and things that the Lord taught them that we incorporate, you know, into our lives as being good. The law is good. The problem with the law is not the law. The problem with the law is me. I can't keep the law. Mhmm. The emphasis upon the law is doing. The new covenant is trusting. Jesus said it is finished. What's finished? He fulfilled the law. Jesus did it. I can't do it. The first Adam couldn't do it. The last Adam did it. So for us, we look at the law and Paul said in Galatians four that it was a tutor to teach us, a pedagogue A schoolmaster. A schoolmaster to drive us into a corner. And driving us into that corner, like the children of Israel are gonna be driven into a corner. They're gonna be driven when they cross the Red Sea or or before they cross the Red Sea, they're gonna be driven into a corner with the Egyptians, you know, coming toward them with their military. And so they're gonna have to trust. They're gonna have to trust god that god's gonna miraculously get them across. And that's how our walk with the lord is. It's a constant walk of faith. And and it doesn't mean that we enter into a a false doctrine of antinomianism where it means no law. If I love God, I'm not gonna be a liar. If I love God, if I love you, I'm not gonna steal from you. If so the for us, the relationship is love. God's written his word in our heart. We have a conscience. We also have his word written in our heart, and we want to live a life that's pleasing under the lord like Joseph when we're confronted with sin. We wanna obey god rather than than our own impulses or or whatever. How could I do this great evil against god, Joseph said, when Potiphar's wife was coming after him? And so so it's a covenant between God and Israel. And and you and I have a covenant. The church has a covenant. What covenant is that? What's the sign? The blood. Yeah. Was gonna say blood. The blood. The New Testament in my blood. Right? There it is. And Israel's gonna get a new covenant in Jeremiah 31. Right? An unconditional covenant because this first covenant, they couldn't keep it. So in acts 15, when they were debating over Gentiles and Jews, should the Gentiles incorporate and live like a Jew? Should they be circumcised? Circumcision was a big deal. Peter said, why put a burden upon them that neither we nor our fathers were able to bear? The burden of the law. They knew they couldn't keep the law. And so they were beginning to understand grace. And Paul had to rebuke Peter to his face because Peter would was eating only with Jews when the heavies came down from Jerusalem. But when the heavies weren't there, he was eating him and Barnabas both were eating with some of the Gentiles. And then when the heavies came down, they withdrew themselves from the from the Gentiles there at Antioch because they didn't wanna get in trouble by the Jews that because a Jew is not supposed to eat with Gentiles. So Paul rebuked them to their face. You know? So they came up with James, the brother of the Lord. They came up with a means of fellowship of behavior of the Gentiles, and that was basically a don't stop your fornication. Don't be fornicating around Jews and don't eat blood, you know, things that strangled. It would if you're eating near them, it would trip them up. It would it would stumble stumble them. So verse 13. But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They walked not on my statutes and they despised mine ordinances, which if a man do emphasis upon do, do, do, do, he shall even live in them. And my sabbaths and they greatly polluted. Then I said I would I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness to consume them. So the law is good. We're bad. We can't do it. And they drop like flies. So again, we differentiate between sin and rebellion and walking by faith. Even though they have the law and the emphasis upon doing, when they fail, the lord gives them a way to confess that failure Mhmm. And to have fellowship restored and to point them to the future when god would provide the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. So the salvation was imputed to them by grace through faith alone just like us. They were looking future. And that's why Jesus said, Abraham rejoice to see my day, and he saw it and he was glad. And that's why in the sermon on the mount, Jesus takes the law and he begins to preach and teach and interpret it as internal, not just external. The pharisees were living externally. But Jesus said if you are angry with your brother, you're already a murderer. If you look upon a woman with lust, you're already an adulterer. So the intention of the law was to stop every mouth. Jesus said in Matthew five, he said, except your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and pharisees, you shall in no wise enter the kingdom of God. Who then can be saved? You know? And and that's the whole intention of the law, to stop every mouth. There is no boasting. And it brings us to the place of faith, of trusting. So they drop like flies out there. But I wrought for my namesake again, for my namesake that it should not be polluted before the nations in whose sight I brought them out. So God's gonna extend grace towards them and it's for his glory. I also lifted up mine hand unto them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands, the best nation out there. And so the first generation perished in the wilderness. They wandered around in circles for forty years, and it hit a peak when they sent in the 12 spies to spy out the land and 10 came back with an unbelieving report. And that unbelieving report was like poison and it permeated the hearts of the people. Unbelief is infectious. You gotta be careful about unbelief. All the well, what if? Well, what if this happened? What if they you know, stop it. You know? Trust the lord. Who knows what if? Nobody knows what if. That's why we trust him day by day in Matthew six. And so they they perished except for Caleb and Joshua. So the those 20 years and older all perished in Caleb and Joshua because they came back with a believing report. The lord honored that faith and let them lead that next generation on in. Now we come to the second generation, verse 18. But I said unto their children in the wilderness, walk not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe your ordinances nor defile yourselves with their idols. So I'm a first generation Christian in my family. My grandma, my mom later exemplified faith, and my my dad came to the lord about the same time I did. He said that I led him to the lord. Praise the lord. But our family, not our immediate family, not cousins, not grandparents, nobody lived the life of Christians. Nobody ever shared the gospel with me. I I did my first communion, and I went to the Catholic church a tiny bit, but didn't get to know Jesus until I was 20 years old. So for me, being first generational, I have the advantage of looking back my life and see how unbelievers live. And so what I learned was there's certain things that are unprofitable, that not gonna not gonna be beneficial in my life and moving forward. So that first generation, as they're perishing, that second generation should have took note of why are they perishing? Why is God angry with them? What practice? What are they doing that's a dead end? What are they doing that's rebellion against God? That's one way to learn. And there were things like that in my life that I learned from that. I I knew I didn't know what to do. I was learning. I was a brand new believer, but I definitely had a healthy understanding of what not to do. And then Jessica and Brittany, they came in our home, and now they're second generation. And they had a way different home than I had. And we did our best. We tried to provide an environment that was conducive to spiritual growth, that they would grow spiritually. And and now Wayne and Brittany are bringing in seven for the next generation. Right? And we're instructed to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. And so they belong to the Lord, these children. And parents that are wise are gonna get these kids into heaven. And so I I still struggle with how this all works. There were things when I was younger that I thought were a slam dunk. I thought it was a let me say it this way. When I look at my seven grandkids, there's no way I can look at them and think that any of them would live the life of a prodigal. I look at them now and I think they're never gonna drink alcohol. They're never gonna do drugs. They're gonna love Jesus. They're gonna read their bible. They're gonna pray. They're gonna be so in love with Jesus. God's gonna use them mightily. Their name's already written in the last book of life. That's how I look at them. I don't I don't see any of them They're gonna be atheists or be criminals or prodigals or any of that. So that's the that's the hope that we have when we're raising our kids is that they'll choose right, that they'll honor god. They'll do it for his name's sake. Recently, a guy told me that his dad was in the hospital and that he quite possibly was gonna die. And he told me, I just don't know what I'm gonna do if he dies. He's the best man I've ever known. And he he's so strong. He's so loving. And when he was 12 years old, he took a drink of alcohol, he's never drank any alcohol, you know, the rest of his life. He's a good father. And I said, well, probably the best way you could appreciate him and show your love for him is to honor him by stopping drinking, by stop doing your drugs, by following his example. And that's what all of us can do for our heavenly father out of love for him, for his namesake, for his namesake, for his glory. And so love's a powerful motivator. When when a father or mother captivates their children with love, that's a powerful motivator. All the temptation when when they know that God loves them, when you know that God loves you, you can go off to college, you can go anywhere and you're secure. You're you're just fine because that that bond of love is so strong that there's no way you wanna break your father's heart who sees everything. Everything's naked and open for the eyes with whom we have to do. And we just don't wanna break his heart. It's not legal. It's not any it's not a bunch of cameras watching me and keeping track. It's just simply that bond of love. And so the second generation, they should have learned how not to live. I am the lord your god. Walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances and do them. Live to please god. If you grow up in an alcoholic home, you cannot and you become a Christian, you cannot blame your parents for being an alcoholic. You're if any man be in crisis, he's a new creation. The old things are passed away. All things have become new. There's no physiological gene that's passed on to you, the gene of an alcoholic. That's a lie. And it's not a disease. No. It's sin. It's it's a habit. It's habitual. And, yes, your body can become addicted to it physiologically if you allow enough time. But part of your thinking needs to change. Yeah. And the thinking is changes through the word of God. The word of God changes the way we think. That's right. And so we've we've taken sin and we call sin a disease. So if there's sexual tendencies, everything's a sin according I mean, excuse me, a disease according to the psychiatrist, But the Bible makes it real clear it's sin. You're missing the mark. And the Bible gives you the power to reason, make decisions, do the right thing. And Roman six says sin shall not have dominion over you. But if a Christian gives into the flesh, a Christian can come into the bondage and the slavery of the flesh. But the devil has to get permission. The devil can't force you to do those things. You give him permission by indulging in the flesh. The devil tempts, but then you volitionally choose to give into those things. So the other night, things were really stressful with Britney. We weren't sure if the baby was gonna be alive, born alive, and all that. And all week long was really stressful. And Kathy says, man, I don't want to, but and I'm really tempted. And I said, what? You gonna smoke some pot? She says, no. She didn't say that. She says, I feel like I wanna stress eat. You ever done some stress eating? Yes. When you're all stressed out, you wanna you just wanna binge on some whatever. It's that food that you're not supposed to eat. Right? Break out the break out the cereal, man. Break out the ice cream. I'm gonna stress eat. My cortisol is really high. Police officers need sugar because of cortisol. It's a stress hormone. And when you do the sugar, it helps bring that cortisol level down. It's physiological. You're craving the sugar. You're craving the bad stuff to deal with the cortisol and that stress eating. And I've never given into that. It's it's just real phenomenon. It's probably my biggest weakness. Alright. I can do good all day. So I'm the Lord your God. Walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances and do them. Live to please God. And hallow my Sabbaths and they shall be a sign between me and you that you may know that I am the Lord your God. How many years did the children of Israel spend in Babylon? I heard seventy out there. Why seventy? Seventy years. Seven years they didn't rest the land. So for four hundred ninety years, they didn't rest the land. They're supposed to rest the land every seventh year. Right? Mhmm. And they didn't do it. So God says, owe me 70. Get down and give me 70. Right? Mhmm. So that's the Sabbath. He didn't keep the Sabbath. And hallow my Sabbaths and they shall be signed between me and you that you may know that I am the Lord your God. So there's a big argument, the one world religion right now of what day the one world religion is going to worship on. On the day of the Saturday people or the day of the Sunday people? And they're trying to work that out. I don't know what conclusion they're gonna come to. But but they're the potpourri and all those kind of guys are trying to figure bring in Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, you know, and all the other Buddhism, all of it together. Being Constantine changed to Sunday? No. We meet because the church met on the first day of the week. So notwithstanding the children well, the Catholics might have moved the Sabbath to the Sunday, but that's that's that's a religious system. That's not a biblical. That's not what we do. We do because the first day of the week. Jesus rose. Right? And you know what else I forgot to mention? Is in Hebrews we're told that Jesus is our Sabbath rest. So that's why we're at rest. We're not under the law, and he fulfilled the Sabbath. He's our Sabbath rest. And so we we chill. We just worship the Lord every day. Every day. Seventh day Adventist Church. Every day. Every day. So notwithstanding the children rebelled against me and they walked not in my statutes nor kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man shall do, emphasis upon doing, he shall even live in them. They polluted my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my fury upon them to accomplish mine anger against them in the wilderness. Nevertheless I withdrew my hand because of God's grace and rot for my namesake, again for my namesake. Remember at a certain point the Lord said I'm gonna wipe these people out, Moses, and I'm gonna bring forth the people from you. These people are from the loins of Abraham. I'm gonna bring forth the people from you. And and Moses, the intercessor interceded and said, what would all the nations think? You're supposed to be so powerful, but you're not powerful enough to bring the people out of Egypt and to secure them in the land. You know? And what would they say? And so that was the right thing to say for his name's sake. That it should not be polluted in the sight of the nations in whose sight I brought them forth. I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries. So Deuteronomy 26 or twenty eight sixty four through 68, the lord said that's what would happen. Psalm a hundred and six twenty seven, also. Because they had not executed mine ordinances but had despised my statutes and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their father's idols. So they've got an eye problem. Looking after the idols. Yep. And and so we're wherefore I gave them up also to statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they should not live. So in Romans one, when they wouldn't worship and serve the creator, but instead rebelled against God and worshiped and served the creature rather than the creator, it says that God gave them up. There's a point where God will give you up when you rebel for a period of time. And so the saddest thing to hear is when the Lord says not my will, but your will be done. So he gives them over to a reprobate mind so that now they're going to do things that are shameful. They do things to themselves in their defilement that's shaming them. And that's why the gays, the lesbians, people in these kind of lifestyles, what they crave is acceptance. They crave normalization for their aberrant behavior. So that's why they come up with the lies of I was born this way and and that sort of thing. And so so he says, give them up. I give them up. I gave them over to it, to the things that their fathers did. And and I polluted them, the defilement. I polluted them in their own gifts. And so with their children, these children are a gift from the Lord. Psalm a 127, children are a gift from the Lord. Leviticus 21 through five, that they cause to pass through the fire all their firstborn that I might make them desolate to the end that they might know that I'm the lord. So you're not gonna have any population growth. We're gonna abort all these babies. We're gonna genocide them. We're gonna give them over. You guys are so stupid. You kill the next generation off in the name of pleasure, in the name of a choice. And Rob's told me several times that this whole policy of the Republicans of fifteen weeks, over ninety percent of abortions are conducted in those fifteen weeks. So you're not you're not you're not cutting back the the numbers of abortion. And besides that, they got the pills and they got you know, my my thought is, how about we follow the money? Let's let's start by defunding Planned Parenthood. The federal government, let's say that they won't fund Planned Parenthood anymore. Boy, the people go crazy if that happened, wouldn't they? Because it's a business. It's the abortion business. Therefore son of man speak unto the house of Israel and say unto them thus saith the Lord God yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me. So they're resisting their unbelief is blasphemy. They refuse to believe and trust in me and that they have committed a trespass against me. So when we sin, when David sinned, when he wrote Psalm thirty two thirty eight fifty one, he says against thee and thee only have I sinned. Mhmm. So our sin is is first and foremost, you know, against god. For when I had brought them into the land for which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw the very high hill and all the thick trees and they offered their their sacrifices. And there they presented the provocation of their offering. There also they made their sweet savor and poured out their drink offerings. So Israel is to be the wife of Jehovah but this idolatry is an adulterous wife and they're unfaithful unto me. And I swore unto them. Then I said unto them, what is the high place to which ye go? And the name of it is called Bama or we would better call it Obama. High Place. Remember how he'd love to do this? He'd stick his chin way up there in his pride in in pictures and all. So Obama or Obama nation, an abomination. So this place is called the high place under this day where their idols, their idolatry would be done. Wherefore say unto the house of Israel thus saith the Lord God are you polluted after the manner of your fathers and you commit your heart of the trees after their abominations and like father like son stiff necked people. I I like the idea of freedom. I like the idea that I'm not guilty for the sins of my parents. And that when I come to adulthood, I think a lot of guys, lot of gals, what they do is they go into the service. They join the service to get away from home and to start over and to have structure and to not perpetuate the defeated, how defeated their community and or their family can be. And so it's a way out. It's a way to start fresh. It's a way to see the world. It's a way to exercise skills and get education and make some money and have a family and do things rather than be stuck. Just be stuck. You know? And in other cases, there's a family tradition of signing up and serving in the military, and you come home and you bring honor to your community, you know, and to your family and such. And it can be a good thing. But a lot of them perpetuate. They wind up doing the same things that their parents, you know, have done. You commit harlotry after their abominations, so the idolatry. For when you offer your gifts so when you offer your children, you make your sons to pass through Psalm a hundred and six thirty seven through 39. Somebody wanna read that? Psalm a hundred and six thirty seven thirty nine. For when you offer your gifts, when you make your sons to pass through the fire, you pollute yourselves. The abortion industry is a reflection on us. It's a reflection on American people, American society. When you see the p ditties and the Epstein and all these people into preying upon children and the adrenachrome and all the other stuff they do, it's an it's a it's a it's the decadence and the corruption deep within the fabric of our society. Psalm one thirty six. Psalm one zero six I'm sorry. Verse 37 through 39. I'll take a drink. I got it. Verse 30 Yes, please. One zero six thirty seven through 39. Yey. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters onto devils and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters whom they sacrificed onto idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. Thus, they were defiled with their own works and went in whoring with their own inventions. So when you sin like this, it's judgment against yourself, and it defeats you, makes you weak, and makes you susceptible to your enemies. And so it's a it's a form of judgment that God brings. You reap what you sow. Comes upon your own head. And these this isn't foreign nations doing this. This is god's people doing this. It's the nation of Israel. It's Manasseh offering his children in worshiping a pagan gods, his own children, you know, offering offering them. And just I'm I'm so thankful for a simple lifestyle. Just a real simple Christian lifestyle that my life isn't so boring that I have to go out and make up sin. There's enough sin in my life. There's enough things that happen. I don't need to go looking for it. So why would I go to bars? Why would I go up in the groves? Why would I go to places, p ditty type parties? I mean, what are these people thinking? Why don't you just stay home? Why don't you why do you gotta be out there carousing around, going looking for some new titillating thing to do? And normal people don't do that. Okay? And but our lives are far more fulfilling than than than these crazies out there. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you. So no access to God again. You don't have access to me. And if you've ever reached that place where you feel like, hey, I don't have access to God. I don't my prayers something's wrong in my prayer life. You know, he's he's a prayer away, but it's a prayer of repentance. It's a prayer of confession. You have access. As soon as you say, be merciful to me, a sinner, he's there. The doors are open once again. And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all that ye say. We will be as the nations as the families of these countries to serve wood and stone. So you're delusional. You're thinking we're gonna be like these other nations. These things are coming to your mind. You're delusional. It's not it's not gonna happen. You're not gonna have that materialism and the promise of, you know, material growth that you think these idols can provide for you. It's not for you. And and then he says verse 33, as I live, saith the lord god, surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. So god's god's speaking of, I'm gonna regather you. I'm gonna regather you, and the mercies of the lord are new, every morning. Great is his faithfulness. And I like in Lamentations what Jeremiah says. When I've had a bad day, I think I think in terms of this, you know, Lord, thank you that that one's in the books. You know? And he says, it is because of the Lord's mercies that we're not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. The lord is my portion, saith my soul. Therefore, will I hope in him. The lord is good unto those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. And so Jeremiah is seeing the worst of the worst, and he's lamenting, and he's describing the way in his walking relationship with the lord the way back is that god is merciful, that he's faithful, and that he'll be there for us. That was Jeremiah what? That was Lamentations Lamentations. Chapter three. Thank you. And I'll bring you out from the people and will gather you out of the countries which you are scattered with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with fury poured out. And so when was this fulfilled? The dispersion. They're dispersed all over. Right? 05/14/1948. Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven fulfilled valley of dry bones. The lord rebirth the nation of Israel. They're regathered in unbelief. Blindness in part has happened unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in, And this is unprecedented in the history of the world that a people would be outside their land, kicked out, and generationally you know, generations and generations later, over two thousand years later, and then they come in back into the land with their identity intact as Jews. And so it's because of god's strong hand. And we talked about this on Sunday. There's Israel's in the land. They're on the verge of having a peace treaty. They're on the verge of having their temple rebuilt. There's a coalition of nations gathering, Ezekiel thirty thirty eight and thirty nine eventually, Isaiah 17 eventually, they have Leviathan. They have the spoil. They have what Ezekiel thirty eight and thirty nine describe as the spoil that the other nations want, the hook and the jaw that's gonna bring them in. It's the natural gas. And they haven't had that. That's they've only had that in the last last ten years. Before that, Israel had no oil. They had no energy. They had to import everything. And now they've got one of the most largest trillions and trillions of dollars potentially of energy to sell because they can't use it all. And so we've got a one world government coming. We've got a peace treaty with them coming. We've got a one world monetary system and one world religious system forming, the Abraham House and all. So it's it's getting close. And I'll bring you into the wilderness of the people and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. It's a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God. In Hebrews chapter ten twenty six and twenty seven, as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord God. And the when God enters into judgment with his own people, it's to purify a remnant. There's a one third remnant that's going to be purified as they go through, the tribulation period. And it'll cause you to pass through the rod, and it'll bring you under the bond of the covenant. And so the shepherd has a shepherd's rod, and Jesus is the door, and Jesus would leave the 99 to go find the one that's gone. And when the sheep are coming back at nighttime, the shepherd would hold the rod over the top of them so that he could count each sheep and to inspect each sheep to see if they're cut or ticks or things like that. So god said, I'm gonna regather you, and I'm the good shepherd. I'm the chief shepherd. I'm the great shepherd of the sheep, And and I'm gonna hold the rod over you and count you and bring you into the fold. And I've got a new covenant with you, Jeremiah 31, an unconditional covenant. And I will purge out from among you the rebels. How is that gonna take place during the tribulation period? Zechariah thirteen eight nine, two thirds of them are gonna die with the antichrist and other enemies coming after him, and God's gonna purify a remnant. There's gonna be a one third remnant that survives the time of Jacob's trouble, the seventieth seven of Daniel. And, Zechariah thirteen eight and nine. And them that transgress against me, I will bring them forth out of the country where the sojourn and they shall not enter into the land of Israel, and ye shall know that I am the Lord. And so Jesus is the way, the truth, life. No man comes to the father but by him. In Romans nine twenty seven through 29, not all they that are Israel are of Israel but in Isaac shall they see be called as those that believe. As for you, oh house of Israel, thus saith the lord god, go. Serve everyone as idols and hereafter also if you will not hearken unto me but pollute my name no more with your gifts and with your idols. There's a certain point in time where you say to somebody, you know what? Quit living on the fence. Quit living in the middle. If you want the world, go for the world. Go out there and give your whole heart to the world. And but if you want the Lord, give him your whole heart, not half hearted. Whatsoever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord, not unto man. God wants your whole heart. He wants your all of you, not half of you, not a portion of you, not a part of you. He wants he wants it all. He doesn't want you to leave your first love. He doesn't wanna be kicked out, be on the outside knocking. And so do us all a favor and do not represent Christ in a worldly way. Go into the world. When you get sick and tired and you're eating pig's food and you're backsliding in the pigpen, the father's ready to kill the fatted lamb. He's a carnivore. He's gonna kill the fatted lamb, fatted calf. Right? And he's gonna run to you and he's gonna give you a ring and a robe, a robe of rice and this, and he's gonna restore you to fellowship. But he's but he's not going to tolerate indifference and that middle ground of lukewarmness. Either hot or cold. You're either for me or against them. And some people just gotta get it out of their system. They just gotta get out there and and find out that what their parents and the pastor and the bible and everyone told them is true. There's nothing out there in the world that that you're missing. You know? There's nothing good out there. You know? You wanna learn the hard way? Go the hard way. Breaks my heart. I said to my daughter, you know, honey, you blew through your twenties. You've blown through your thirties. There's time. I meet with people that are in their fifties, and they're finally getting right with the Lord. You know, you can you can get right with the Lord right now at 42. You don't need to keep drinking and doing this. Quit wasting time. Get right. Live for him. Live for Jesus. The world has nothing for you. As for you, oh house of Israel, thus saith the lord god, go serve everyone as idols. And hereafter also you will not hearken unto me, but pollute my holy name no more with your gifts and with your idols. In Isaiah one, he he chides them further how religious they are. You're all religious, but your heart's far from me. Jesus said these people do worship me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. For in mine holy mountain, Jerusalem, in my mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall I all the house of Israel, all of those in the land serve me. There will I accept them and there will I require your offerings and the first fruits of your oblations with all of your holy things. So in the kingdom age, you're gonna come and you're gonna worship me, and Jesus is gonna rule and reign from Jerusalem as king of kings and as lord of lords. I will accept you. No divorce. No divorce. I will accept you with your sweet savor. You know how the lord's waiting for the nation of Israel, you know, at the marriage supper of the lamb and the friend of the bridegroom is the nation of Israel. And we're there and the Lord is is doting over his bride, the church, and he's getting ready to start the millennium, you know, And we're gonna rule and reign with him as kings and priests, but the nation of Israel is gonna be dominant over the Gentile nations that begin to repopulate the planet. Jesus is king of kings and lord of lords and David as his prince. And then you got the disciples. You know, they're gonna have their their thrones and their sphere of influence in this governmental system, if you will, and a monarchy, a theocracy. And and he says, so I will accept you with your sweet savior. I will bring you out of the people and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered, and I will be sanctified in you before the nations. So who wants Ezekiel thirty six twenty four? Me. And who wants Ezekiel thirty seven twenty five? Thirty seven twenty five. Yep. And 38 verse eight. Thirty six twenty four, first one. Take you from among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and will bring you onto your own land. That's happened, 05/14/1948. 3725. 3725. And get my glasses here. Can see. And they shall dwell in the land and I that I have given unto Jacob, my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt, and they shall dwell therein, even they and their children and their children's children, and my servant David shall be the prince over them. Praise the lord. 38 verse eight. After many after many days, thou shalt be visited. In the latter years, thou shalt come to the land that is brought back from the sword and is gathered out of many people against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste, but is brought forth out of the nations and they they shall dwell safely, all of them. Praise the Lord. And he says, and you have been scattered and I will be sanctified in you before the nations. So they're gonna be converted. There's gonna be a national conversion. Every single Jew that goes into the millennium is a believer. And so Jeremiah 31, he's gonna write his word upon their hearts. He's gonna give them a new heart. And you shall know that I am the Lord when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers, which he promised. And there shall ye remember your ways and all your doings in which ye have been defiled and ye shall loathe yourselves. And so in Zechariah twelve ten eleven, they're gonna mourn. They're gonna mourn. They're gonna mourn over the fact that they that they crucified their lord, that they crucified him. They're gonna cry out, blessed is he that comes in the name of the lord. So the defiled and hath loathed yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed. And so godly sorrow leads to repentance, not to be repented of. And ye shall know that I am the lord when I have wrought with you for my name's sake. So again, for god's glory. Not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, o ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God. So Jesus is my righteousness. Jesus is their righteousness. They're going to come to him in faith. And then this part of verse 45 down is really a part of chapter 21, but we'll cover it anyway. Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me saying, son of man, set thy face toward the South. So you got the 10 northern tribes, now you got the southern tribes, Jerusalem included, and tribe of Judah, and drop thy word towards the South and prophesy against the forest of the Negev. And so Amos one twelve talks about a huge fire breaking out in this region. And say to the forest of the Negev, hear the word of the Lord, thus saith the Lord God, behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every tree in thee, and every dry tree and blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces of from the South to the North shall be burned in it. And all flesh shall see that I, the lord, have kindled it, it shall not be quenched. Then said I, ah, lord god. They say of me, does he not speak parables? And so the people rejecting the truth, speaking in, you know, figurative language and all, not gonna literally happen, not gonna really happen, you know, but God is gonna use the fire of judgment in this upon Israel. And that's why when the Jews came back in the land, so many trees were burned, so much of the vegetation and everything wasted that one of the things you could do to be a friend of the Jews is to donate money for them to plant a tree. And they went about replanting, and now the nation is blossoming and providing flowers and vegetables and food to the world. Did you burn all the trees? Devastated the trees in the in that area, but it's replanted now. So their whole ecosystems change as a result of replanting. So you've got cut them down and then they burned them. Everything. Burn them, cut them, everything. Now they're they're burning America with torches. They throw torches and just burn them. You know? Lasers. Lasers, all of it. All of it. Yeah. That's why I got a blue roof. I got one of those blue tarps so my my house won't get burned. I didn't have blue tarp. Alright. Alright. Let's pray. Father, thank you, Lord, for the time that we can spend in your word and just kinda learning from Israel's mistakes, Lord. But we also know that your love for them is unconditional, and you've got an unconditional covenant with them. And, Lord, we know that we wouldn't be able to do perfectly to keep the Mosaic law. And we know you're a soft hearted, Lord, and that all you ask is that we we come to you in repentance. We come to you, Lord, asking for help to that we not repeat these things and continue in these things and be owned and and slave to these things that war against our flesh, between the flesh and the spirit. Lord, help us to be better parents and and, friends and family and Christians, and help us to live in the power of the holy spirit. Help us to forget the things of the past, Lord, to press forward, to not be slowed down by our past failures. Help us to learn from them but to move on, Lord, forgetting those things that are behind and pressing forth that which is before, Lord. Help us to enter into all that you purposed as, by the power of your holy spirit, Lord, you fight for us. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
