Ezekiel 20
Pastor Rick Beaudry expounds Ezekiel 20, tracing Israel's rebellion from Egypt and the wilderness while drawing out the difference between isolated sin and persistent rebellion that brings divine discipline. He explains the law as a tutor, the Sabbath and covenant signs, and how God pours out both judgment and mercy for his namesake, including the regathering and future restoration of Israel. Applying the passage to our lives, he urges confession so our prayers are not hindered, warns against religious hypocrisy and cultural idols such as sexual immorality and abortion, and encourages us to live by the Spirit rather than mere outward observance. He also highlights global movements of faith and calls us to trust Christ as our righteousness and to press on in holiness.
