Ezekiel 4
Pastor Rick Beaudry explores Ezekiel 4 as a series of dramatic object lessons where the prophet models the siege of Jerusalem by sketching a tile, lying on his side for 390 days then 40 days, and using an iron pan to portray the separation sin creates between God and His people. He explains the harsh images of famine, measured rations and baking with dung as symbols of humiliation, scarcity and judgment, while reminding us that only Christ can truly bear our iniquity. Rick warns against false prophets and the paralysis of false hope, calling us to recognize tests that reveal genuine faith. He urges a renewed hunger for righteousness, faithful church life, gratitude for our blessings and the discipline to cast burdens onto the Lord rather than carry others' sins.
