Jeremiah 47
Pastor Rick opens with prayer and a community plea supporting Jeremy Anderson amid concerns about local farming permits, then turns to Jeremiah 47 for study. He explains Jeremiah’s prophecy against the Philistines and situates it in biblical history from Assyria and Babylon through the Greco‑Roman era toward end times. Drawing on Judges and the kings, he reviews Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Samson and David to illustrate Israel’s cycle of obedience, idolatry, foreign discipline, repentance and deliverance, and he highlights the Philistine pentapolis and the Anakim giants.
