Alright. Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night bible study. Jeremiah 22 tonight. I got a new shirt here. So be careful what you say. It'll wind up in a sermon. And shout out to everybody backsliding out at the fair watching casting crowns and stuff like that. So the holy people are here tonight, and let's pray. Father, thank you for the blessing of meeting here at Rob and Vicky's home and having a meal together and being able to gather around the fire outside here. Thank you for the weather. Thank you for your goodness, Lord. We just praise and worship you. We ask that you bless this bible study as we study Jeremiah 22 and as we worship you, as we fellowship and pray for one another. We lift up Mike Goodson and pray for his heart that he continue to improve, and for Daryl, for his heart with his surgery, Lord, that he would continue to recover. And for Jason, Lord, and for Karen Menard, and anybody else that's been sick and hurting, Lord, we pray for your healing touch upon their bodies. Lord, give us discernment. Causes us to be wise as serpent, gentle on doves in the time in which we're living, that no man deceive us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Open the eyes of my heart. I want to see Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. It's a lot. Oh, there we go. Alright. Jeremiah 22. So I wanna know whose cell phone was ringing all of yesterday's service, Sunday morning. You guys wouldn't tell me if he did. He wasn't. Not getting it. Homeland Security will pay you to snitch on me. Yeah. What? It was you, passer? No. No. I I I don't think it was me, but it could be. I didn't hear anything. Did you hear anything? No. I didn't hear anything. Did you hear anything? No. You're doing more. I know. I know. I did some of the questions. Yeah. I wanna know. I wanna know. I want them to break out with boils. No. No. No. It sounded like a. Just kidding. Just kidding. Extend grace. Grace. Noon. At noon. Yeah. Think As in hurry up, pastor. You're done? Yeah. Alarm's going off at noon. Like, hey. I hear a little beep beep. That should good. That must have been to tell me get the sermon over with by noon. Yeah. That's what we should do is turn it off. I heard twelve, but they We're done. Goodbye. See you later. What time does John open the doors? Noon. Noon? You open those doors? 11:45. Right? 11:45. I thought it was noon. No. That's like mine. You got fifteen more minutes. I knew it was fifteen more minutes. So I stretch it to thirty more. Yeah. We're all hungry about twenty five. Yeah. Alrighty. Jeremiah twenty two. It's so good to meet with you tonight, and so exciting to see all that's happening just everywhere. I had Eddie Martin send me a video today from Dave Hodges. You guys follow Dave Hodges, the common sense show? Somebody help Betty with that jacket there. She's No. I'm Just jacket challenge. Okay. Alright. I got it. Okay. I knew her. But basically, just a little heads up, you go to Common Sense Show, Dave Hodges. He's doing a little video there at a grocery store with empty shelves. Okay? And basically, he's responding to Justin Trudeau in Canada proposing that they're going to take control of the box grocery stores in Canada, and they're going to charge a tax to the owners that can survive the COVID lockdowns and all that kind of stuff, climate lockdowns. And they're going to bring about a whole new tax that will then fund the housing of the homeless in their smart cities. So Los Angeles is getting involved in the funding of housing the homeless in apartments. And then the mayor of Chicago, you know how the world economic forum, all these governors and all these political leaders, they have talking points and they all begin to talk about the same thing at the same time. So in Chicago, the mayor of Chicago also proposed this idea of taxing the box stores. Now they're trying to blame inflation. You guys are making so much money, inflation is so high, the price of food is so high, so we're gonna tax you guys and give it to the poor people who are having to pay more for food, you know, to give them housing. So it's it's amazing. So I think there's gonna be a whole lot of people that want the freebies and just go along with everything. And the socialism leading the communism is happening right before our eyes. Alright. So that's one little heads up. Watch food. Watch real closely in regard to food. Circumvent it by having your garden, your chickens, your as much as you can grow, buy local. We're gonna have to think more and more in terms of our Christian community networking with each other and not being controlled by the big box stores. They do another lockdown, one of the reasons for a lockdown is to put out of business more and more and more of the small business owners. And they succeeded last time in putting a lot of people out of business. And so consolidation, they want to consolidate food, the control of food. Henry Kissinger, Dave Hodges quoted him, said if you want to control nations, use oil. If you want to control people, do it with food. So an example of that would be in Ukraine when Stalin starved 20,000,000 of his own people when they were inaugurating communism and 20,000,000 of his own. Amal killed 60,000,000 of his people to to establish his rule of communism. And what stands in the way of the globalist is the middle class. The middle class stands in the way of the globalist. They're the only ones that can think well enough and have the resources to attempt to hold the globalist accountable. So before that happens, they want to bankrupt everyone that could be a threat and then bring about the whole landlord and serfs where the land is owned by only them and everybody else is a renter to the landlord. So that's what they have proposed and they're working toward that. And I hope and pray that that people wake up to at least resist it for a while, you know, slow them down. Okay. So that's that was just to encourage you. So alright. So Jeremiah 22. Lord, we just ask that you open the scriptures, teach us, help us to understand, and help us to hide your word away in our heart. Help us to learn from history, to learn from past mistakes by the nation of Israel, and the way that you you were so incredibly long suffering. And I'm willing that any would perish that all would come to repentance. And even here, in this chapter, Lord, you give them a chance to turn from their sins. You give them a chance to forego the judgment that you keep warning them of, of Nebuchadnezzar coming. But they just won't listen, Lord. They just won't listen. And so, Lord, I know how Jeremiah must feel spending forty years trying to awaken people, trying to tell them the truth, trying to bring them to a place where they're finally awakened. But you just you just day after day, year after year, week after week, falls on deaf ears, Lord, for the most part. But thank you for the small remnant of people. Thank you for the those whose ears are open. As Elijah thought, he was the only one left, Lord, you had 7,000 that hadn't bowed their knee to the prophet Baal. Lord, you always have your faithful ones mixed everywhere, in China, Iran, everywhere. And so Lord, we thank you for the privilege of fellowship, privilege of being students of your word, and getting to know you better, Lord. So bless, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright. Thus saith the Lord to Jeremiah. Go down to the house of the king of Judah and speak there this word. So how many of you heard quit talking about politics? What is this right here? Who is he referring to? A holy man? A prophet? So the prophet is supposed to say, you know, there's a separation of church and state. I better stay away from the state. I better not talk about anything in regard to the state because people get mad because it's politics. You know? And I've had so many people over the years since we started trying to expose much of the evil that's going on. Brenda was here this morning telling me about four laws in California legislation to take children away from their parents that the governor signed and now it's gonna go through the legislature. You think as a pastor, I'm not supposed to talk about that? I'm not supposed to bring that up, that I'm supposed to keep my yipper shut because that's politics, you know? Mindless idiocy. It's mindless idiocy to try and separate the culture into one camp is politics and secular and the other camp is you religious nut jobs over there. It's all combined. We as Christians, it permeates all of society. We're going to be and light and permeate all of society at work, at school, everywhere we go to be salt and light. We're not to try and act like, you know, I'm in public now and I can't wear the shirt. Got the shirt. Look at this. See that? What's that say? That's it, baby. That's it. So it's happened before. And I follow strict guidelines for confidentiality. Believe me. Alright. Yeah. Right. And say, hear the word of the Lord. So Jeremiah is going there. Hear the word of the Lord. God has something to say to you guys. Hey, king. There's somebody bigger than you, above you. And you look at the Bidens, you look at these leaders today, they actually think they're gods. They actually think that they're gods and they get to do everything they want, that they have unlimited authority, that the constitution can't limit them anymore, and try the international treaties and laws, and not even God's laws can limit them. You know, they're making it up as they go. So here the word of the Lord, oh king of Judah, who sits upon the throne of David. So you have the 10 northern tribes that were destroyed in July. You have the throne of David in Jerusalem here. King Zedekiah is warned. And so you're sitting on on the throne of David. What a what a blessing that you're king. You and your you and your servants and your people that or excuse me, king of Judah who siteth upon the throne of David, you and thy servants and thy people that enter into these gates, so the people of this city. Thus saith the Lord, execute justice and righteousness and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor and do no wrong, do no violence to the sojourner, the fatherless or the widow and neither shed innocent blood in this place. So God is saying, you know what? Your role as an extension for me because I've I've ordained human government from the time of Noah, gave him the right of capital punishment. They don't bear the sword in vain in Romans 13 when we get there. But in Romans 13, we're going to see the government's established by God to preserve the good. And so you as a king and your government, God's saying, my heart goes out to the widows, to the orphans, to the poor. You're the one that's supposed to protect them. You're not supposed to prey upon them and allow them to be exploited and destroyed and killed and impoverished. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, all your mind, your soul, all your strength, love your neighbor as yourself. And these two hang all the law and the prophets. Right? And Paul names narrows it down as love. Love is the fulfillment of the law. You're not loving these guys. You need to love them. You need to do what's good. And so for us as Christians, if the government reaches a place where they cease to be good, they cease to protect our children in the schools, and they're preying upon our children with their pedophile laws and all that sort of thing. That government needs to be changed. According to our constitution, we need to change that government, remove that government. But if we don't if we're a conquered people, like the Jews were conquered by the Romans, then we simply just we don't comply. Non compliance. We're not going to comply to your mandates and your idiocy. You're not getting anywhere near my grandkids to mutilate them or give them hormones or confuse them about what gender they are and I don't care who you are, you know, it's not going to happen. And so that's the kind of chutzpah that people need to have. They shouldn't even be putting their kids in harms way. You as a parent need to anticipate where they are going with this degradation, this degrading of morals and say, you know what, my kids are very very unsafe in that environment and even if there is a so called Christian teacher at that school, you can't take the risk. It's too great of a risk that your children or grandchildren would be seduced, manipulated, brainwashed. Much of what goes on in the schools today is an indoctrination, not an education. And so, the kids are being indoctrinated and groomed for the new world order. And unfortunately, the bible and prayer was removed from school and the authority of God's word removed from the school, the 10 commandments and such. And so now, we've sown to the wind, we're reaping the whirlwind, and now it's whatever these people feel like doing. So basically, it's rebellion against God. We're watching a rebellion against God take place and the Luciferian spirit, the spirit of Antichrist permeating all of western culture and trying to take us down to the sewer is what's happening. So certainly, the churches wouldn't engage. Certainly, the churches wouldn't be in agreement with all the stuff that's going on. Yet, I get some feedback from many people in a lot of the churches around here. And a friend of mine said that he went over to visit some friends in the church and not only the mom and dad, but the kids were all smoking pot. And I'm like, what? And apparently, it's very very acceptable in the churches. Also, the gay, the lesbian, the the he says you can't believe how strong it is that they're calling it love. He says it's really really freaky the way they'll be bold in their homosexuality, men, women with women and such, and in the church, and emphasize that they are saved and that we are supposed to love one another. So they are using the word love in such a way that you are not allowed use the word of God to judge between right behavior and wrong behavior. And they'll just quickly throw out if you ever question anything, well, what difference that sin and any other sin? We're under grace. And that's the mindset that's permeated. So we in the church, we're relegated to, you know, not discern between our left hand and our right hand, between male and female, between right and wrong, between up and down. It's I like this phrase, it's mindless idiocy. So that's a good one. It's idiocy. So for if you do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house king sitting upon the throne of David riding in chariots and on horses, he and his servants and his people. So if you repent, then I'm going to allow your dynasty to continue. If you don't repent, then I'm going to withdraw your family from the Davidic covenant. The covenant that the Messiah would come forth from the family of David. And so you are not going to see any of your offspring, you know, ride into the city on their Ferraris and all that. You are not going to enjoy the palace and all the things, the perks and things that come with being royalty. You guys are going to die. You're going to be taken captive, you know, to Babylon, spend seventy years there. Everything is going be taken from you and he's leading toward as we finish up this chapter that there's actually going to be a curse upon his family through Jehoiachin or Koniah he is called. And you will see that God takes the Davidic covenant in second Samuel seven where God or David wanted to build the Lord a house and God said David your hands are too bloody and so David, I'm going to build you a house. I'm going to build you a dynasty. And so, we have the Abrahamic covenant where the Jews would be the people that God would bring forth out of all the other nations to bring forth the Messiah. We have the Davidic covenant in that it's the tribe of Judah, the kingly tribe that Messiah would come forth from. Messiah would be born of a virgin according to Genesis three fifteen and Isaiah seven fourteen. And but he would come through the family through the through the which tribe, the kingly tribe is Judah. So this is Judah, the tribe of Judah. But because of Koniah, Jechaniah's sin, God cursed that line and rather going through Solomon which was David's son, the Lord narrowed it down and made it come through a different son named Nathan. So in Matthew's account, Matthew chapter one, we have the lineage of Jesus. It's the royal line, the royal kingly line in that Joseph was a stepfather, but still his lineage went from the royal legal line that Jesus had right to the throne. But in the lineage in Luke that goes all the way back to Adam and comes through Mary, it transitions. It it twists and it goes away from Solomon unto Nathan. And so still, right to the throne, but the Lord put a curse on the house of Koniah and we'll see that as we move on through here. But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself. Now can God swear by anybody greater than himself? I swear by Rick Bodrey that this is going to happen to you. What kind of empty threat is that? You know? Right? What's that going to do? I swear by Joe Biden. I swear before this day is over. You know? So, it needs to be you know, since he can swear by nothing greater than himself, you know, that's what he does. He's going to keep his promise. God is immutable. It's impossible for God to to lie. And so when he swears by himself, you can take it to the bank. And so Matthew five thirty four through 37, what did Jesus say about swearing? You and I making an oath. You're going make an oath? I swear to you, Cath, I won't ever do that again. I swear by my mother's honor, on my mom's grave, I'll never do that again. Jesus said, you guys are there. Right? You're there in Matthew five? Matthew five thirty four through 37? Don't swear heaven because it's God's throne. Don't swear by the earth because it's his footstool. Don't swear by Jerusalem because it's the city of the great king. Right? Let your yay be yay, let your nay be nay. Right? Anything more than that is sin because you can't keep your word. So you remember a guy named Jephthah in Judges chapter nine? Remember Jephthah? You guys all know who Jephthah is? Oh man, the story of Jephthah is a mind blower. It is a mind blower. You love Corey? You love Cory more than anything, right? Jephthah was raised up to be a judge and the Lord elevated him to a place where he was going to protect Israel by going after his enemies. I think the Moabites or Midianites, one of them. And he swore. He made a he made a a pledge. Vicky could read it. Judges nine. But he pledged, Lord, I will kill the first thing that comes to greet me after this victory. Guess? Now he might be thinking a sheep. Right? Guess who came to greet him? His daughter. Only daughter. Now, God doesn't want us to do any child sacrificing, but that was a vow he made. You guys wanna read it? How important it is to keep a vowel? Do you see Jephthah? Yeah. Book of Judges? Let me see him. It's a mind blower. Where do you want me to start? What verse? Well, let's find Jephthah. Is he in chapter nine or chapter seven? Where is he? Jephthah. I thought he was nine. There's there's Gideon. There's his three in chapter seven. I know we got chapter 11, we got Samson. And 10. Jepsis Oh, and 10. Okay. There we go. That's why you couldn't find it. Well, that's where it says Jepsis and I think That's a Mormon bible? No. It's not. They're not going to let it go. I'm just kidding you. Since you found it, you can read it. Chapter 11. There we go. 11. Oh, there it is. 11. There it is. So you've got a good reading voice? They've got a microphone for you. If you want to read, they've a microphone for you. Do you guys really want to read this story? Yeah. It's a powerful story. Okay. Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor and he was a son of a harlot. People didn't like him. Didn't have a good pedigree. And Gilead begot Jephthah. And Gilead's wife bore him sons, and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah and said unto him, thou shall not inherit in our father's house, for thou art the son of a strange woman. So he's kicked out by his own family. Then Jephthah fled from his brethren and dwelt in the land of Tob, and there were gathered worthless men to Jephthah who went out with him. And it came to pass in process of time that children of Ammon made war with Israel. And it was so that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob. And they said unto Jephthah, come and be our captain that we might fight with the children of Ammon. Then Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, did not ye hate me and expel me out of my father's house? And why are you come unto me now when you're in distress? Isn't that funny? That's that's such that's such human nature. And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, therefore, we turn again to thee now that thou mayest go with us and fight against the children of Ammon and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead. So they recognized that he's a good warrior and that he had some good leadership ability. And Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, if you bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon and the Lord deliver them before me, I'll be your head. And the elders of Gilead said on Jephthah, the Lord be witness between us and would do so according to thy works. Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead and with people on the head of the captain over them. And Jephthah uttered all of his words before the Lord at Mitzvah. And Jephthah sent messengers under the king of the children of Ammon saying, what has thou to do with me that thou art come against me to fight in my land? And the king of the children of Ammon answered under the messengers of Jephthah because Israel took away my land. And when they came out of Egypt from Arnon even under Jabbok and under the Jordan, now therefore, restore those lands again peaceably. And Jephthah sent messengers again under the king of the children of Ammon and said unto him, thus saith Jephthah, Israel took away the land of Moab nor the land of the children of Ammon. But when Israel came up from Egypt and walked through the wilderness under the Red Sea and came to Kadesh, then Israel sent messengers under the king of Edom saying, let me, I pray thee pass through the land, but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner, they sent them to the king of Moab, but he would not consent, and Israel bowed in Kadesh. Then they went along the wilderness and compassed the land of Edom and the land of Moab and came to the east side of the land Moab and camped on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab for Arnon was the border of Moab. And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon. And Israel said to him, let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into the place. But Sihon trusted not in Israel to pass through the border, but Sihon gathered his people together and camped in Jehaz and fought against Israel. And the Lord God of Israel delivered Sihon and all the people into the land of Israel, and they smoked them. So Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country. And they possessed all the borders of the Amorites and Arnon even at the Jabbok and from the wilderness even to the Jordan. So now the Lord God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel and shouldest thou possess it, will thou possess that which Chemosh thy God giveth to thee to possess? So whosoever the Lord our God shall drive out from before us, them will possess. So kind of like Elijah, let's have a fight and let's see which God is the greater God which which he chooses. And now, art thou anything better than Balak, the son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever strive against Israel or did he ever fight against them when Israel dwelt in Heshbon and its towns in Evor and its towns in the cities along the borders of Arnon three hundred years? Why therefore did you not recover them within that time? Wherefore I have sinned against thee, but thou doest wrong to war against me. The Lord, the judge, be judged this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon. Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearken not to the words of Jephthah which he sent him. Watch this now. You can underline this. You can write in your bible. Okay? Then the spirit of the lord came upon Jephthah and he passed over Gilead to Manasseh and passed over a mitzvah of Gilead and from mitzvah of Gilead, he passed over under the children of Ammon. Now what's cautioning me here is that the spirit of the Lord came upon him. Okay? So tuck that away. And Jephthah vowed a vow. The spirit of the Lord came upon him and now he's vowed a vow. And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord and said, if thou shall without fail deliver the children of Ammon into my hand, then it shall be that whatsoever cometh forth out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace, from the children of Ammon shall surely be the Lord's and I'll offer it up for a burnt offering. Now have you got sheep living in your house? Know? So Jephthah passed over under the children of Ammon to fight against them, and the Lord delivered them into his hand. And he smoked them from a war even under the come to Minnah, even 20 cities under the plain of the vineyards with a very great slaughter. Thus, the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel. And Jephthah came to Mitzvah unto his house, and behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances and she was his only child. Besides her, he had neither son nor daughter. So you're thinking, well, he didn't have to follow through with this. Right? God's not going to hold him to it. And it came to pass when he saw her that he tore his clothes and said, alas, my daughter, thou has brought me very low and thou are one of them who trouble me for I have opened my mouth under the Lord and I cannot go back. So now you're thinking of James, right? The tongue, the rudder, how can steer you, you know? Be quick to hear and slow to speak. Be careful what you say. Jesus said, let your yay be yay, let nay be nay, be a man or a woman of your word. You don't need to be making vows that God's going to hold you accountable to. Right? I mean, just simply say, Lord, you know, I'm going go for it. God, do you want me to go? And if he says, yes, then go. Give it your best shot. I cannot go back. And she said unto him, my father, if thou has opened my mouth unto the Lord, do to me according to that which has proceeded out of your mouth for as much as the Lord has taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon. Father, if you're willing, remove this cup from me, but nevertheless, not as I will, but thy will be done. And he said unto her, let this thing be done for me. Let me alone two months for I may go up and down upon the mountains and bewail my virginity, I and my companions. So she's not married yet. She doesn't have a family, doesn't have kids or anything. And let me go be with my friends for a couple of months. And he said, go. And he sent her away for two months and she went with her companions and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains. And it came to pass at the end of the two months that she returned under her father who did with her according to his vow, which he had vowed and she knew no man and it was a custom in Israel. That the daughters of Israel went nearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah, the Gileadite, four days in a year. So some commentators would say he relegated her to perpetual virginity, That she was relegated to be single the rest of her life and not be able to have family and all that. And the maidens would lament her plight thereafter. Now others would say, what's the language say? Did he really offer her? Would God really allow him to go through with that? When God told Abraham to offer thy son, thy only son, Isaac, he got the knife up and the Lord stopped him. Right? Right? So I don't know. But what I do know from this, don't make a vow. Don't make what we call a rash vow. Don't be rash and make a vow. You don't you got to remember your frame that you're fashioned from the dust of the ground. And God remembers your frame. And so God wants you to be a man or woman of your word. If you have to make vows or swear, I swear on my mother's honor, that means you're a liar. That means that people can't take you at your word. So now you've got to find something higher than your word to make your promise, you know, based upon. And God says, I swear upon myself, you know. I'm going to I'm going to keep my word here because there's no one greater, you know, to swear by. So so just keep your word. Be Let your yay be yay, let your nay be nay especially with your children. If you promise, hey, I'm going to take you to the fair on Monday. Take them to the fair on Monday. Right? Be a man or woman of your word. Hey, we're going go play. Hey, we're going to go fishing. Hey, don't promise things and then wind up having a pattern develop where you don't keep your word to your kids. Right? Or to your wife, your family, your boss at work, church. I mean, just be a man of your word. Be faithful. God wants us to be faithful. So what do you think about Jephthah? None of you heard about that before. You never read about Jephthah? Okay. Well, what's that? He kept his word. He kept his word. But the caution would be, don't over yeah. What's that? She was she was compelled to honor God. Yeah. Just like Isaac. Isaac allowed his old father to tie him up and put him on an altar. He could have said, no dad, I think we can offer you. You know? But he didn't. Alright. Okay. So For thus saith the Lord under the king's house of Judah, thou art swear by himself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation. So the palace is going to be destroyed. You have a free choice. You can choose to obey God or you can rebel against him. As we said with Joshua, choose you to stay who you will serve. As for me and my house, we're going to serve the Lord. Right? Everybody's got a choice. God is not making you a robot. God is not forcing you to love him, not forcing you even to obey him. In your free moral agency, you can choose to rebel against God. You can choose to sin. You can choose to spend your whole life rebelling against God. You can choose hell over heaven. Hell is a choice. God sends nobody to hell. People choose hell by rejecting God, by rejecting Jesus Christ. Do you understand that? It's a choice. So nobody is going be in hell that didn't choose to be there by what? By rejecting Jesus Christ. There's your choice. If you're not for Jesus, you're already against him. If you're not gathering with him, you're scattering abroad. Alright. So the palace is going be destroyed. So May, Nebuchadnezzar is going to come and destroy the temple, destroy it all. And he's gonna cause some people to be taken back to Babylon who they're gonna spend seventy years there, and others just just completely wiped out, but no escape basically. For thus saith the Lord under the king's house of Judah. Thou art Gilead unto me and the head of Lebanon, yet surely I will make thee a wilderness in cities which are not inhabited. So you're once beautiful. You're beautiful like unto me. You're like Lebanon. How beautiful it is in Gilead, but you're gonna be a devastation. And so, you're gonna be wiped out like Israel was before you. And I will prepare destroyers against thee. I mean, who can withstand God if God says, I will prepare destroyers, some trust in horses, some in chariots. In God we trust, it says on our coins. We can trust in our military or we can trust in God. Right? We can really trust in God. So if God's for you, who can be against you? But if God's against you, what are you going to do? And it's the insanity of the Antichrist and the armies of the world that are going to converge at Arm again to try and stop Jesus from returning. Mean, that's insanity. Everyone with his weapons and they shall cut down by choice cedars and cast them into the fire. So they've got people there like Bill Gates who wants to cut down all the trees. And now he's concocted a plan to cut down the trees and to bury them to to not cause carbon emissions. Mindless idiocy. So you set the forest on fire all over British Columbia. You set the Maui massacre on fire. You're you're lighting the planet up with fire. Now there's smoke going into the air and your solution is we need to cut the trees down and bury them so they can't catch fire. But you're the ones setting them on fire. So let me ask you this, this whole climate idiocy, mindless idiocy, what do trees give off? What do we give off? And what do the trees take in? Carbon. So it's a good ecosystem, right? Now, when Israel, May 1948, when they come back into the land, there's been a deforestation. The enemies of them have wiped out all of the cedars and all the forests. What did the world do, the entire world do to show kindness to Israel? Everybody bought them a tree. They began to everybody began to donate trees to Israel that are planted and seventy years later, what is the ecosystem in Israel like today? How does it affect rain? How does it affect the wind? How does it affect growing? It all ties in with an ecosystem. You get rid of I was talking to Ray yesterday. You get rid of the trees and the wind comes across the prairies. What happens to the top soil? What happens to everything? Like a desert, right? Wiped out. And so you start to plant trees generationally. You can block that wind, and you have a portion of a field that the leaves fall. They decompose, and pretty soon you have better soil. Right? The soil gets better and better and better. Alright. So, I mean, really simple. It's like farming one on one. Even a city guy could understand this, you know? And I love my favorite tree is a palm tree. It means I'm at the beach, right? But I'll take these trees. They're beautiful. Right? And but man, I love a palm tree. Right? Okay. So, you're going be burned out. Carbon relief lies burned out. And many nations shall pass by this city and they shall say every man to his neighbor, why has the Lord done this under the great city? So Psalm 7six 10, who wants to read Psalm 7six 10? Who wants to read Deuteronomy twenty nine twenty two through 28 to answer the question, why? How can God get your attention? What's it take for God to get a nation's attention? In my notes at the bottom here, I have written schooled in shock and awe. What's it mean to be schooled in shock and awe? If something happens way beyond my sensitivity, my sensibilities, like I've never been to war, Brandon's been to war, others been to war and they hear bombs going off, buildings exploding, that's shock and awe. Right? Here, for a guy like me, if something gets bombed around here and airplanes start flying really low and there's helicopters everywhere and the noise of war, that's going to get my attention. You've got my attention. Right? What's going on? Well, we're being invaded. Well, the national guards here. What's it going to take to get people's attention? You know what I mean? Does it take the great depression, you know, two point o? Long lines at the grocery store to get food, you know? What's it going to take? The shock and awe to finally get the attention of people who are spoiled brats. Who've had everything given them and they won't listen. You talk to your kids, you can't get their attention. They got to go through the school of hard knocks, don't they? They got to learn the hard way. You don't want them to learn the hard way. You want to keep them from that, but you're gonna get their attention? So Psalm seventy six ten. You want me to do everything? Okay. I'm just teasing. I'm teasing. Psalm seventy six ten. She's got it. Brenda has it. Surely your wrath against men brings you praise. We wanna hear you. Oh. Oh. This is big time. Surely, your wrath against men brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained. Isn't that great? The Lord's gonna be glorified when he judges the world economic forum. When God pours out his wrath upon these guys that think they're gods because they got billions and trillions, God is gonna be glorified because he's the only one strong enough to deal with these nut jobs. All their militaries, all their technology, all their everything comes to nothing. When Jesus returns, he destroys them with the brightness of his coming and the sword of his mouth. Done. Over. In. And God's glorified because all of us have been crying out, how long, oh Lord? How long, much longer do we have to put up with these nut jobs? Right? It's just crazy. So God says, you know what, if you won't glorify me by walking in fellowship with me, then the whole world is going to have a tingle in their ear when they hear about what I did to you. And I used Nebuchadnezzar as my instrument of judgment against you. Right? Deuteronomy twenty nine twenty two through 28 for Shannon. 22. Twenty nine twenty two. How's dyslexic? 2922. 29. 29. 20. 22. 29. 29. 9. 9. Many times. Okay. Deuteronomy twenty nine twenty two. So that the generation to come of your children that rise that shall rise up after you and the stranger that shall come from a far land shall say, when they see the plagues of that land and the sickness which the Lord hath laid upon it. To '28. And that the whole land thereof is brimstone and salt and burning, that it is not sown, nor brethren, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrown of Sodom and Gomorrah. Adamei and Zedim do I say that? Zedim Just fake it. Nobody knows. Zedimombo speaking tongues. Which the Lord overthrew in his anger and in his wrath. Even all nations shall say, therefore, have the Lord done thus unto this land? What meaneth the heat the heat of this great anger? Then men shall say, because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt. For they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they knew not and whom he had not given unto them. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book. And the Lord rooted them out of their land in anger and in wrath and in great indignation and cast them into another land as it is this day. Brutal. So you see what God did to Egypt. Right? And you're the children of Israel. You're coming out of there. You think that you wouldn't so quickly grab everybody's gold earrings and stuff and make a golden cow. Right? Right. I mean, get a clue. If you have any knowledge of history, and I just read this week that there's libraries going to destroy all the books that are over eight years old. So a generation won't know historically or hear about the Noahic flood. Right? It's a historical fact. Right? The whole world was flooded. So what can you learn from the Noahic flood? What can you learn from the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah? Isn't that a clue to the gay and lesbian community, the pridefulness of bread, idleness, and they cared not for the poor and needy, the sin of Sodom in Ezekiel 16? Mean, get a clue. I want to learn from the past. One thing Kathy and I always talk about is I don't know if any of you have ever said this, we've made so many mistakes. We've sinned so greatly. We've made so many bad decisions in our marriage, mostly her, not me, but I'm to blame. I'm to blame for everything. She's been very submissive to follow all of my hair brain things I thought I was hearing from the Lord. But one thing we do say is, maybe you've said this, I wish I could go back with what I know now. Wouldn't you like to start over in high school with the knowledge you have now? Right? It'd be so good, all the different stocks I would buy and all the man, I know which ones to buy, what to do, I know what not to do. And so much of life is spent making mistakes and learning from mistakes, learning from what's happened and then we run out of time. By the time we're wise enough and smart enough, we're too old now to go back and do it right, you know. And so I call it walking by faith, know. You just walk by faith and it's like, why didn't somebody sit me down and say, you know? Yeah, I know. I know. But anyway, so you've been schooled, you're learning. Know, that's how I think the importance of family, the importance of a mom and a dad and a grandma and grandpa that play by the rules, that have learned generationally how to handle money, how to keep their word, how to work hard, how to study hard at school, to do all the things that help them to prosper and then to pass that on to the next generation. A generation like we're watching now that has no knowledge, no teaching, no mentorship. I mean, what chance do they have? That's the communist ploy is to make them stupid, know. Easier easier controlled, you know. So one of the best things that ever happened to me was getting saved and then going to Calvary Costa Mesa and having pastor Chuck be my teacher, disciple me in the word of God. And as as you get to learn the word of God, you're gonna make better decisions because the next one says schooled in biblical truth. So why did it happen? What happened? Shannon read Deuteronomy 22. It tells you why it happened. So you're schooled in shock and awe. Now you're schooled in biblical truth. Then they shall answer because they have forsaken the covenant. Right? There's a covenant God made in Deuteronomy there that Shannon just read. This is why this has happened. Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord, the God who and worship other gods and serve them. There's your reason. What makes America great? What once made America great? People came to to study it, to see, and they said their churches are aflame. Their churches are filled with people. America is great because America is good. If America ever ceases to be good, they'll cease to be great. The problem is a spiritual problem of apostasy which is rebellion against God, turning our backs upon God. The churches in America are getting smaller and smaller and smaller. People are leaving the church in droves now. Because why? Because a whole lot were drawn in to this promise of your best life now and the Bless Me Club and all that stuff. And now that people are starting to see things getting tough, they're bailing. I didn't sign up for this, you know. So we're starting to see it. And it's very sad. But it's also exciting because it's hard to move forward with a bunch of unbelievers. You ever tried to move forward and lead people out of Egypt, out of the world to a promised land, a place of blessing, flowing with milk and honey, but you've got a huge mixed multitude of people who are always, always whining and complaining and have no faith and if you are Caleb and Joshua, you got to wait a generation till you finally are 85 years old and you can go kill some giants. Well, take this land but you can't do it with it. People are pulling you down, you know. It is gosh, you know. I got to wait till you guys die off and then I get a whole new group of people. Alright, let's see what God has for us in these last days. So all you want is to see God move and work. That's all you want. You just want to see God move and work and transform and change lives. And why are we stuck in neutral? Why is it so hard? Where's the power in the churches? Where's the power in the Christians today, you know? What happened? Powerless. Alright. So now he says, weep not for the dead. And so he's referring to Josiah, Pharaoh Necho. Josiah went out into battle and was killed by Pharaoh Necho in second Kings twenty three twenty nine through 33. So don't weep not for the dead, neither bemoan him, but weep bitterly for him that goes away. So in June, Josiah was killed by Pharaoh Necho as he went into battle. He shouldn't have been meddling and gone into battle, but he did. So he goes away and he shall return no more nor see his native country. So the example of Jehoaz who is going to be taken captive. So don't weep for Josiah. Turn to Isaiah 57. This is a passage I use quite a bit now. Isaiah 50 seven:one. Righteous perish, Josiah was a righteous guy. He's a good king. The righteous perish and no man lays it to heart and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. So when I think of pastor Chuck, Chuck Missler, pastor Ray Bentley, pastor Steve Mays, many of these pastors that were prolific in the Calvary Chapels, pastoring great churches all. The Lord recently, in the last few years, ten years or so, has taken them home. And you look at these men and boy, there's a big shoes to fill, you know. But God is gracious to them just like he took Moses to mount you know, on top of Mount Nebo, took Moses home. They don't have to see the evil to come. Right? Josiah died, but don't mourn from Josiah. He's in a much better place. Instead, you guys have to have to endure the Babylonians coming. You guys that are alive, you're the ones that you should be lamenting about, you know. And you ain't seen nothing yet. So he's hey, Josiah is dead. Josiah is with me. So the example of Jehoaz. For thus saith the Lord touching Shalom whose name means Jehoaz, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah, so he took over the being king, he reigned for about eleven years. Instead of Josiah, his father, who went forth out of this this place, he shall not return there anymore. So second Kings twenty three thirty four, this was fulfilled and that he's never gonna return. But he shall die in the place where they have led him captive and shall see this land no more. So he died in Egypt as he led, know, tried to flee to Egypt. So he died in Egypt. So now we have concerning Jehoia Kim. Woe unto him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his chambers by wrong who uses his neighbor's service without wages and gives him not for his work. So let me ask you this. How much money, how much net worth are our legislators? Let's take one. AOC. I don't even know her name. How much was she worth as a bartender before she was elected? How much was how much was the Biden family worth? How much was Feinstein, Pelosi? How much were they worth all these years ago when they first entered politics? Now John Kerry married the Hershey family. He's got tons of dough. Some of them came from dynasties, huge money. But a lot of them, you know, they weren't even millionaires yet. What are they worth now? They stay in and it's not from their salary, is it? So the Biden family, how did the Biden family become worth billions? How did the Clinton Foundation, how did they become worth billions? How did Obama buy a house in Martha's Vineyard? Come on. What was he worth before he started with Michael? He had a lot of college debt. Where did they get the money? Foreign governments paying them, you know, lies. Just unbelievable. And so it's the same sort of thing here. It's bribes, it's getting wealthy, it's covetousness. They're covetous. They never have enough money. They just there's never enough for these guys. It's mind boggling. And so he says, so you exploited people around you, you took slave labor, they're going to build you a house, who said I'll build myself a white house and large chambers and cut out windows and it is paneled with cedar and painted with vermillion. So Obama's got a house in Martha's Vineyard now and his chef died paddle boarding, you know, and wound up dead, you know. Oh, the guy had something to say. Well, they took him out, all the people that died with the Clinton. You know, so let's remodel this house with cedar. Cedars are one of the best, most beautiful building materials at the time. If you've ever had a cedar closet, walk in closet, it keeps the moss away from your really nice sweaters I hear, right? Okay, there you go. Shalt thou rain because thou clothe thyself of cedar. Cathy's got a cedar hope chest, Haven't hope in a long time. Alright. I'm pretty funny. So, shalt thou reign because thou closest thyself in cedar. Did not thy father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? And then if that was well with him? So Josiah was blessed because of obedience. He was obedient to the Lord. The Lord blessed him. I mean, there is a truth to obeying the Lord and blessings that come. One of the sure ways to be cursed or to suffer is consequences. God is not mocked. Whatsoever man sows, that shall he also reap. So you try to live a life that's in obedience on the Lord, it doesn't mean you're going to get rich, But hopefully, doesn't mean that you are taken away to Babylon and all that sort of thing. I consider myself blessed in that I'm not destroying myself with alcohol. I'm not destroying myself with drugs. I'm not destroying myself and lost my marriage, lost my kids, lost the love and affection of my family. And all that has to do with trying to live a life in obedience to how God tells me I'm supposed to live. It doesn't mean I'm going get rich but there's enormous blessings as a result of not going against God's laws. If I may you know, I've used this a million times. I may not like the law of gravity, but I'm certainly not going to test it by jumping off that there and then whining that God didn't make me so I could fly. I mean, I'm going to splat and I'm going suffer the consequences of breaking the law of gravity, right? But if I'm corny, I may say, you know what, I'm going to take flight instructions and I'm going to practice higher laws of aeronautics that I can fly, you know? But I'm not going to try and do it on my own based upon feelings and I just feel like I'm going to go this direction and not expect the consequences, right? There's consequences for disobeying God. So he judged the cause of the poor and needy, then it was well with him. And so the Lord said, you know what, you're a blessed leader. You're taking care of the poor and needy. I have a real heart for the orphans and the widows and you're causing the tax structure to be lessened so that the Jarvis amendment in California meant that those who retired, those who lived in their house when the taxes, the property taxes would come, they would keep the low taxes so that these elderly that are going to live on their pensions and their social security that they wouldn't lose their homes due to property taxes, right? That was the Howard Jarvis. They are trying to remove that so that like my grandma, she only received $1,300 a month when my grandpa died in social security living in San Diego but the house is paid for. So because the property taxes are super low, she can still afford to buy food and pay the utilities and live in that home. But those days are closing. Those days are these guys are greedy. They want to get everybody out of those houses so they are going to revamp the tax structure. In the fifties, the tax structure was such that moms could be stay at home moms and they could raise these children. Well, the globalist didn't like that. They didn't like the family. They didn't like the children. They didn't like that. So in order for people to own homes, you needed two incomes because they changed the tax structure against the family, penalize the family. So now the woman has to go out into the marketplace and work, put their kids in the public school that just took the bible and prayer out of the school and the sexual revolution of the sixties. So now, the families in the fifties were more moral, the unbelieving families, than the church today because they lived in a time where adultery was wrong. They lived in a time where right was right and wrong was wrong. And they were taught right and wrong in the public schools. You see what I mean? So how are we going to change that? How are we going to destroy the family? And so it began there in the fifties, given the churches of tax exempt status and not allowing the churches to speak out against corruption and evil anymore, but we're just going to have our little Christian communities. Well, how long is that going last? Because we're communist thinking terms of two generations ahead. So we're not in a hurry to steal America from Americans. We're going to do it over a course of a couple of generations by dumbing down everybody, changing the laws and destroying the family. So the divorce rate in the church is just as high as those in the world. That destroys the society. And let me tell you something. One of the best things we can give to bless our children is a Christian home. And it breaks my heart that we in the church suffer divorce Many women are single, men single, they can't seem to find mates, can't find anybody, they go through life single. And it's getting harder and harder to have a family, sustain a family, be a family. And so those of us that simply have a family are very, very blessed to have that sort of love and support all around us. I didn't like when my parents divorced. I didn't like having to live with friends so I could finish high school. I didn't like the chaos, the confusion, the whole nut job stuff, the sheriffs coming and getting put in juvenile hall because I was trying to keep my mom and my sister from taking my paycheck, you know. And I didn't know that was assault, just trying to keep them out of your room, you know. And so many things, so many things that I choose to move forward and not remember. But the reality is, Kathy and I tried so hard so that Jessica and Brittany never had to face those kind of uncertainties and weirdness. And I'm thankful that Wayne and Brittany are married and that my grandkids are being raised in a Christian home. And it's huge. It's just huge. It's so important. Ordained of God. And so he caused the poor and needy, then it was well with him. Was not this to know me? Sayeth the Lord. And so he judged the cause of the poor and needy, then it was well with him. Was not this to know me? Sayeth the Lord. What's he mean there? Isn't that what it means to know me? How many people say they know God but they don't? They profess that they know God but at works they deny Him. Their lifestyle denies knowing Him. Because itches? Well, they're living a lifestyle like in the world but they claim to be Christians. They're practicing the same things that the world does but they Christianize it. Let's Christianize homosexuality. Let's Christianize drag queens. Let's let's Christianize it. Let's just bring them up in front and let's have them be pastors and pasturesses and priestesses and all this confusion that the world is looking on. But that isn't what it means to know the Lord. So we're going to turn to one John. Here's where I always like to bring people when the argument comes up about knowing God. You remember in Philippians three ten, Paul's number one priority in his life is that I might know Him. Not know of Him, but know Him. Christianity is a relationship in knowing God. Right? To know Him. So, how do I know that I know Him? First John chapter two. And your notes on Facebook should tell you, two one through six. Right? First John, the epistle of first John. And now, we've come here before to try and teach on this. We also remember James says, faith without works is dead. So you say you know God, but there has to be fruit. Jesus said you know them by their fruit. It's not that you're working for salvation, it means the fruit of your life indicates that you really believe what you're professing. So, in chapter two here, he says, my little children, these things write unto you that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous. So you have advocacy. You have Jesus there, whoever lives to make intercession for us. He's our great high priest, standing before God the father. He is our savior, prophet, priest and king and he is interceding on our behalf. And he is the propitiation, the substitute for our sins. He was punished in our place. God's wrath poured out upon him. Not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just for you and I, but especially for those who believe because that's how you appropriate, that's how you cash in that righteousness. You have to appropriate it, you have to seize it, you have to enter into his righteousness for it to be imputed to your account. How do you do that? By grace through faith. It's a free gift. You simply receive. You receive his free gift by faith. And then his righteousness is imputed to you. Your sins have been washed away, but you got to appropriate it. You got the winning lottery ticket, but you don't take it in. You got to take it in. And by this we do know here, how do you know you know him? By this we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. What's that mean? Are we under the law? No. It's obedience. It's obedience. You just desire. There's a desire to live a life that's pleasing unto God. We're going to sin. Over here in chapter one, if we say we have no sin, we're a liar, the truth isn't in us. We sin, but if we confess that sin, He's faithful and just to forgive us of that sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteous. So you have a positional relationship with God, justified just as if you've never sinned, but you also have a practical outworking of your salvation, working out your salvation in that you're in fellowship with him. So you say you know him. So I say, and this we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. He that say that I know him and keeps not his commandments is a liar and the truth isn't in him. So if you're living a life practicing sin, still in your lifestyle of sin, hey, I'm a born again murderer. Hey, I'm a born again adulterer. Hey, I'm a born again alcoholic and drug dealer. Something wrong with that. We Christianize it, right? No. In first John in first Corinthians six, and such were some of you. That's why I used to be. But I repented of that and God transformed and he changed me and he put his desire within my heart to live a life that's pleasing unto him. It doesn't mean I reach a place of sinless perfection. I still sin. But the desire is there to live a life that's pleasing unto God and I will not practice the lifestyle of sin that I once did. That's the word repentance. But who so keeps his word and him barely is the love of God perfected, so the maturity by this know we that we are in him. We're growing. There's growth. There's maturity. He does say if he abides in him ought himself so to walk even as he walked. So what's it mean to be a Christian, to be Christ like? When people see you, are they reminded of Jesus? You know, I just can't picture Jesus as a born again fornicator. I can't see Jesus as a homosexual. Just it's anathema. It's an abomination. The thought of it just makes your skin crawl. And yet, we as so called Christians try to take the world and Christianize it. So I like Ephesians five eleven. Have no fellowship with them fruitful works of darkness but rather expose them. Right? You're not to fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Come out from among them, be separate, say the Lord. Touch on the unclean thing and I'll receive you. What's light have in common with darkness? We're to be distinctly different than what we once were. If any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. The old things are passed away, all things will become new. So, you go through here and in chapter three, there is another important word here I've shown you. Chapter three verse four. Whosoever committed a sin, now that word committed, you can draw a line to it, practices. There's a difference in sinning and practicing sin. Whosoever it's lifestyle. We could use the word lifestyle of sin. Whosoever commits sin transgress also the law for sin is transgression of the law. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins and in Him is no sin. Whosoever abides in Him sinneth not. Whosoever sinneth has not seen him neither known him. So again, lifestyle practicing, no repentance. Little children, let no man deceive you. He that doeth righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous. Here we go again. He that committeth sin, practices sin, is of the devil. For the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose, the son of man was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. So salvation is in three tenses. We're delivered. We're saved from the past penalty of sin. And in the present tense in Romans six, we're delivered. We're saved from the power of sin. Sin shall not have dominion over you. You're not gonna practice sin. Jesus came to destroy the power of the devil to hold people captive and hold them blind in their sin. So he says, nine, Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin. Practice sin. For his seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he's born of God. Because Jesus has come into my heart and life, he's changed the desires of my heart. I can have all the alcohol I want. I can have all the cocaine, all the pot, I can have all the stuff I want. I'm not under the law. I just don't want any. It doesn't appeal to me anymore. So Hillary, you put a lipstick on her as a pig, she's going to run right back to the pigpen. Right? Because it's in her nature. It's in her nature. When nobody's looking, she's going to run right back to the pigpen. She's going to do her pedophilia and all that other stuff and her darkness and Oprah and all the rest of them. And they can't change themselves. They don't want to change themselves. They're degrading. They are getting worse and worse. They are not getting better. They are getting they have greater and greater desire to do greater and greater evil. That to me is probably the greatest thing God has done for me is that He saved me from me. God saved me from being a murderer. I would hate to be a murderer, wouldn't you? I would hate to hurt somebody. I would hate to hurt Kathy by being an adulterer. I would hate to hurt her. Lord, thank you that you saved me from being an alcoholic. You saved me. You kept me from being alienated from my grandkids. Do you see how you destroy everything that's good around you when you don't fear the Lord? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. I wasn't raised in a Christian home. I know I could backslide. My whole marriage, I've known I could backslide. And I thank the Lord that He's changed my heart, that He continues to change my heart and protect me and keep me from being such an idiot, you know? All that's good in my life that could just go away like that, you know? But to him be the glory, right? So I'm not going to try and Christianize my sin. I'm not going to plan on sinning and then say, I got the grace card, man. Know? You know why? Because when David sinned with Bathsheba, what did Nathan the prophet say to him? You're the man. David, there's consequences. You're not going to die. Like, made a verdict upon the man that took the lamb from his neighbor. That man shall surely die. Nathan says, David, you're not going to die. That's what you deserve, but you're not going to die. But David, that what you did in secret, God's going to judge you openly. Absalom is going to take your harem of women up on the roof. David, consequences, the sword is not going to depart from your family because you killed Uriah. You murdered Uriah. Now the sword is going to kill Amnon. Absalom is going to kill Amnon and Amnon is going to rape Tamar in your family. Think of how much that hurts. And then Bathsheba, the child that she's birthed, the child is going to die. And then here's the coup de grace. David, you've given great occasion for the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme his name. What would everybody say about you and I if they heard that we acted like David? If you and I went and did what David did in the time when kings go to battle and we think we're all it and we can have anything we want, we're in a prosperity, and I can get away with anything. God loves you and I too much to let us get away with it. He's going to send Nathan the prophet one day, and he's going to confront us, and he's going to say, you've sinned. And He's going to give us space to repent, that we can be restored to fellowship with God again. But, there are horrible, painful consequences. Our sin not only affects us, it affects everyone around us. And mostly, those closest to us. So don't think that our sin won't find us out. It will. And so, these kings, all that they're doing is affecting the entire nation. The entire nation is coming under judgment because of poor leadership. The priest, the prophets, they're all lying to the people. The people deserve better pastors. They deserve better. And so, he says here, was not this to know me, sayeth the Lord, to live a life of righteousness, to do right, to be unselfish? And remember we talked about Jeremiah nine twenty three and twenty four. Right? Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches, but let him that glory glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I'm a Lord that exercises loving kindness, and these things I shall delight, saith the Lord, that you know Him. That's why God made you, that you would know Him. He simply wants you to know Him. And that's the greatest pursuit for a human being is to enter into a relationship with God that we might know Him. Well, how tragic it would be to attend church, to go through this life and not know God. To not know him. Show us the father, Philip said. Show us the father and that will suffice in John 14. And what did Jesus say? Haven't I been such a long time with you, Philip? And you didn't know me? You don't know me, Philip? Show us the father and that will suffice. He's done all this other stuff. He just got done telling them all the way, the truth and life. No one can come to the father but by me. And Philip says, show us the father and that will satisfy us. Show us the father. Have I been such a long time with you, Philip? He did see me as seeing the father. That's why the father sent me. That's why I came. So that you could get to know God. So you get to know the character of God. You get to know his love. Because I'm going to the cross for you, You ever question God's love? Look at Jesus. The revelation, the apocalypse, the unveiling of Jesus Christ. This is who he is. That we might know Him and the only way, the best way to get to know God is to study His word. To study His word. But thine eyes because this is 66 books and it's a love letter to you and me. God has written a love letter to you and I expressing His love for us, His undying love. But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness. Boy, oh boy, oh boy, Washington DC, all they care is about more and more and more and more more and more and more. So many of the churches and the pastors, more and more and more. How much money is enough, you guys? How much stuff is enough? When is it enough? They once asked Rockefeller, how much is enough? He goes, just a little bit more. Just a little bit more. Never enough. So if we looked at Proverbs twenty seven twenty and somebody else Proverbs twenty nine one and two, And we'll give somebody else let's go with first Timothy Proverbs twenty seven twenty first, and then first Timothy six five through 12. So I'm going to nail it here. Proverbs twenty seven twenty. Okay. First Timothy six five through 12. Anybody? Okay, George. And then, Proverbs twenty nine one and two. Okay. So let me read this. But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness and for shedding innocent blood and for oppression and for violence to do it. So he's speaking to the world, the unbeliever. This is this is what you guys are after. It shouldn't be the way Christians are. Proverbs twenty seven twenty, the eyes of the wicked are wet. Brandon? Okay. Hell and destruction are never full, so the eyes of man are never satisfied. Hell and destruction is never full and the eyes are never satisfied. Always want more. Everything they see more, more, more, more, more. First Timothy six:five through 12. In a constant of friction between men of a deprived mind and deprived of the truth, we suppose that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into this world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. And if we have food and covering, with these, we shall be content. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish in harmful desires, which plunge men into ruins of destruction. For the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil, and some and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierce them with many a pang. But free from these things, you man of God, and pursue after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confessions in the presence of many witnesses. So we have sermons on homosexuality maybe. We have sermons on we condemn sin. But very seldom you'll hear a sermon on covetousness. Godliness with contentment is great gain. People are anything but content today and we have so much. And so be content with what things that you have for his promise, you know, He'll never leave you nor forsake you. Certainly, you can't take it with you. You're naked, you're going to come in the world. Naked or ignored, blessed be the name of the Lord. But we have the Lord. He's our portion. Be content. Paul said, I've learned to be content whatever state I am, whether I'm abased or I'm abounding. I've learned the secret or contentment. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So this root problem here is love for money. Being poor doesn't make you holy. I don't think I'm holy man because I'm poor. Nothing wrong with money. It's nothing wrong with money. Money can be used for good, right? But it's the love of money that's the root of all evil. It's that coveting, it's that place in the heart where it becomes an idol and there's this obsession for more and more and more and more and more. We look at ourselves as stewards. That which God supplies, we're stewards. It all belongs to Him. So if the Lord if riches increase, don't set your heart on it. Don't fall in love with it to the point that all your decisions are made based upon, I can't lose this. I better take the jab because I'm going lose it all. I'm going lose everything. No? You do what's right. It's a test. You do what's right. You do what honors God and if he chooses to cause you to lose your job, trust him that he's got a better one for you. That's what the life of faith is. You never compromise and comply with evil. Right? That's the test that comes. You get soft and oh man, oh man. And then now the test comes and it's like, I'm going to have to violate my integrity to keep all this. I'm going to Christianize it. I'm going to twist it a little way. I'm going even do this. I'm going say, iI prayed about it and God told me to take a double jab. How many people said that? It's crazy, isn't it? But they do that. I prayed about it, pastor. God told me. Well, no regrets? So I don't want to this next season that they're doing this, first time, you know, we were deceived in a lot of ways. Some of us had discernment, all of us, everyone. We learned from mistakes. But we should be ready this time. We should be ready for them to raise the ante. And it's astounding to me that it's all based upon covetousness. It's all based upon incentives. We'll pay you to comply or we'll take something away if you don't comply. So it's dealing with the heart. It's dealing with, is Jesus essential? Is he the most essential? Are we going to shut the church down? Are we not going to worship? Are we not going to sing? We're not going to partake in communion? Are we going listen to these liars, these Nebuchadnezzar's? Or are we going to be strong like Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and say, we're not careful how we answer you, king. This is non negotiable. We're going to do what God is calling us to do. Now the Lord can prosper us, you know, or he can take it away. You know, But Jesus said, don't fear him who can kill your body. Eventually, they're going to threaten to kill you if you don't comply. So Jesus says, don't fear him who can kill your body, but fear him who can not only kill your body but cast your soul into hell. Fear God. Alright. So then, we he says, therefore, thus saith the Lord concerning Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, they shall not lament for him saying, ah, my brother or ah, sister. They shall not lament for him saying, ah, Lord, oh, ah, his glory. So basically, they're going to say, like they'll say to Biden and Obama and to Biden, I said that already, right? To Biden, good ridden. So Proverbs 20 nine:one and two expresses the heart of the people when you finally get rid of an evil king, an evil government. Twenty nine one and two. He that begin often reproved hardeneth his neck shall suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. So you think there's some mourning going on? Whole lot of mourning going on. Whole lot of people sad because we're watching our country be destroyed by wicked evil leadership, horrible leadership. And when that leadership changes, if and when it does change, you know, there's like a rejoicing, a shout like, finally, you know, somebody with some common sense, you know. But nobody laments or, oh, I'm so bombed out because Obama is not president anymore. I've never heard anybody say that, you know? And I don't think they're gonna miss the Biden. I'm going to go out and eat all the ice cream. Alright. So he shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. How do you guys want to be buried? You want your funeral to be honorable? I've been to a few military funerals and boy, they're amazing, aren't they? Just amazing, shooting of guns and the horn, the trumpet and just was such honor, you know? Just amazing. I told Kathy when I died, just cremate me and take me to the beach where we grew up and sprinkle my ashes. Know, walk around and just sprinkle them a little bit. That's it, you know? Don't need to do a paddle out or anything. And for God's sake, don't bury me in Bremerton. Take my bones back where I came from, you know. Alright. Like Joseph, he didn't want his bones to remain in Egypt. Alright. Do you realize this place is a different place? Do you realize how different this place is? You love it, but it is a different place. And Robbie expressed it when she went to Montana. She told Kathy, there's something different. A guy moved to South Dakota, something different. You meet Christians, you say hi. They say hi back. They're nice. They're polite. They're respectful. Around here, it's hit and miss, isn't it? It's a little different. It's a little different. Yeah. First way at Walmart. How was Nebraska? Oh, Walmart's Yeah. See, it's different. It's just different. The gym is good. Yeah. That's because you're so hot. Yeah. Alright. They opened the gym for me too. The girls opened the gym for me. Alright. Verse 20. Go up to Lebanon and cry out and lift up thy voice and bash on and cry out from the passes for all thy lovers are destroyed. So all of your allies are gone. Everybody that you try and league with and build an alliance to deal with the Babylonians, they're gone. Egypt's gone. Assyria's gone. There's nobody going to be there to help you when Nebbe comes, right? I spoke unto thee in thy prosperity, but thou said, I will not hear. So when things are going good, are we inclined to listen to God? No. Not really matters. So the Verizon commercial, can you hear me now? When does he finally get our attention? Right? Undivided put your phone down. Shut your phone off in church. Are anybody listening? And I spoke unto thee in prosperity, thou said I will not hear. This has been thy manner from thy youth that thou obeyest not my voice. So my notes, wrote down spoiled brats. Ever had a spoiled brat? Ever been a spoiled brat? I think in a lot of ways, I was a spoiled brat. I think in a lot of ways, not from my upbringing and my family, but from a standpoint of just being blessed. Had a wonderful place to grow up, I had a lot of things going, a lot of things came easy and there were hard things too. But I think all of us in America, we're spoiled brats. We've all experienced enormous prosperity and we haven't had to grow up like the other countries around the world and the suffering and that sort of thing. So the wind shall eat up all thy shepherds, your pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity and surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. So you're going to be in bondage. You're going to be in seventy years in Babylon. You're going to be exposed and you're going to be judged. Oh, inhabitant in Lebanon who makes thy nest in the cedars. How gracious shall thou be when pangs come upon thee. The pain as of a woman in travail. And so Matthew 24 verse eight, the sorrows, the birth pangs that's upon the earth right now. The birth pangs are increasing in intensity and pain. The world is going through an upheaval because the anti Christ system, the beast system is on the horizon and all that's good is being pressed and destroyed and ruined. And so, it's the birth pangs, not of the new world order, but the birth pangs of Jesus coming back. If you see it right, there's a dawning of a new day. It has to get bad before it gets better. And the Lord's allowing this pain that's coming upon the planet to turn people's hearts to one decision. You're either for God or against them. It comes down to one. One's a decision. And it's not going to be complicated. So God uses pain. He uses affliction. Hebrews 12, Whom the Lord loves, He chastens and He scourges every son or daughter. So the Lord applies the pain when you're not listening to him in the time of prosperity. So he says in Psalm 32, be not like the horse or the mule that need a bridle. What's the bridle used for to direct the animal? Pain. Pain. Pain. It hurts in the mouth, right? Don't be like that. I don't want to direct you with pain. I'd rather you look me in the eye and I'll tell you go here, go there, listen to me, be in relation with me, pray, ask me, ask questions and I'll direct you. But if you're going to just be obstinate and not listen, I'm going to have to use pain to direct you because I don't want you to destroy yourself because you're a stupid sheep. And stupid sheep wind up hurting themselves and fall into the ditch and they don't they are unaware of the wolves that are around and things like that. And so being a parent is so difficult because you have beautiful daughters and these wolves come around wanting your daughters, you know? So it's and the young men too. The young men, being a parent is brutal. I mean, it's grandparent, not so brutal. You still worry, you still pray, but God, you just you see them when they're young, and they want so much for them and all. And I can't even go into it. So So as I live, saith the Lord, though Koniah, so this is Jeconiah, though Koniah, the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were the signet upon thy right hand, yet would I pluck thee from there. So he had a three months reign. Koniah only reigned for about three months and deported to Babylon. And I will give thee into the hand of those who seek thy life and into the hand of those whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans. So, you're going to die in Babylon. In Isaiah 52 excuse me, Jeremiah fifty two thirty one through 34, you can see that that in fact happened. In two Kings 24, it's also a fact. Verse 26, And I will cast thee out and thy mother who bore thee into another country. His mother's name is Nehushta and the mother is going be cast out too. And it was foretold by Jeremiah in Jeremiah thirteen eighteen and nineteen. So you are going to be cast out, your mother is going be cast out and the one who bore you and there you shall die. So you're to die in Babylon. But to the land to which they desire to return, there shall not they return. So you're never coming back. No point in return. You're leaving Judah, you're leaving Jerusalem, you're never going to return here. Is this man, Koniah, a despised broken idol? He's cursed. Is he a vessel in which is no pleasure? Why are they cast out? He and his seed and are cast into a land which they know not. So you were made for God's pleasure. God had you had such potential. God had such high hopes for you, but instead you chose you chose to live a life of rebellion against God. And now there's a curse upon your life. Now we need to stop here for a second. When we mention curse, there's some really bad teaching that's been around for twenty, thirty years from promise keepers, very, very bad doctrine. And that doctrine, because there's a hatred now toward white people, they're trying to demonize white people, and part of the demonization of white people is to create race hatred, hatred between the races. So the promise keeper thing goes along this way, is that you white people need to apologize to black people for slavery. So the whole idea of paying black people reparations and giving them money and everything and all that, nobody ever mentions the people that were really, really mistreated, are the Indians, the indigenous people in America who are totally wiped out. Nobody talks about that. But they're getting rich from the casinos. Responsible for what they call generational sin. You're not responsible or cursed because of what your grandfather did or great grandfather did or you had a plantation somewhere. God says in Ezekiel that each and every person answers for their own sin. So there's no generational curse upon you because your great great great great was involved in slavery. And if if you look at it even further, historically, unfortunately, the slavery emanated from black people selling black people into the slave trade, slave market. And so if you wanna if you wanna really go after who was involved, there was a great deal of money to sell people in Jamaica and all the different plantations and things like that. They needed laborers and so they purchased. But what stopped the slavery? The Christians. The emancipation in Britain and in America, the Christians were the ones that stood up against evil and said, hey, this has got to stop. And so all of us, no matter what color we are, have things that we're ashamed of as a people, as a human being. I'm ashamed to be a human being, the things that we're capable of, the things we've done to each other. The dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, these kind of things, the wars, the depleted uranium in Iraq and going over and regime change so many countries in my lifetime, and the 2,000,000 innocent civilians killed in Iraq as a result of shock and awe, as a result of weapons of mass destruction or whatever. There's so much for us to all be ashamed of. Where are we going to start? Where is it going to end? We need a savior. We need Jesus to make things right, you know. All of us are guilty. You can't pick one group and say they're the bad guys. They're guilty. These white guys are bad. All of us have sinned. Where are you gonna stop if you start profiling people and creating curses and hatred and angst? Jesus said nation would rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And that word nation means ethnic group. The devil wants ethnic groups to be at war with each other simply because they're different ethnic groups. How absurd is that, you know? I would say we're all Christians, we're all family people and that we all have the same thing in mind: lock up the criminals. Lock up the criminals in Washington. That would make all of our lives better. Alright. So there you go. But they're trying to pit us against each other. Deflection, it's called. To deflect from the responsibility that they have and play the blame game and blame a group of people. So it's communism. Is what it is. So anyway, this guy is cursed but to the land to which they desire to return, they shall not return. Is this man, Koniah, a despised broken idol? Is he a vessel in which there is no pleasure? We are and we're made for God's pleasure. That's what we are made for. In Revelation chapter four, why are they cast out? He and his seed and are cast into a land that they know not. O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord. So earth day, you climate people, hear the word of the Lord. What's it called? Gaia? Don't practice Gaia. Don't worship mother nature. God, the creator, he created. Worship the creator, not the creature, right? The globalist, the demonic people are trying to lower man beneath creation. Trees are more important than you. Plants are more important than you. You're a worthless eater. You breathe too much. You're putting too much carbon out into the atmosphere, right? God must have made a mistake. He's not a God of order and so it's a demonic lie to demonize human beings because what's the devil want? He's come to steal, to kill, to destroy. The globalists are simply channeling the devil's desire which is to kill as many people as possible, right? To send them to hell. Alright. Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost. So thus saith the Lord, write this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days, for no man so none to reign as king. This cursed line, as we talked about when we started, his seed shall prosper sitting upon the throne of David and using ruling anymore in Judah. So Kanai, his dynasty ended, the Lord as he said. So the legal lineage came through Joseph in Matthew one verse 12. And then in Luke three thirty one, the physical through Nathan, not Solomon, not Koniah, unto Mary. So, Jesus, we have His lineage, right? And we know who Jesus is. And just as the Bible foretold, He's the Messiah. He's the anointed one, the Christ, the babe from Bethlehem, the root and the offspring of David. And alright. So let's pray. Father, we thank you for tonight. We thank you for the pleasant evening we've been able to spend here. Nice little fire going. All the hospitality that Rob, Vicki and Brandon provide for all of us. The food that we could share, the laughter. The wake up call for all of us, Lord. Lord, let us treasure you, Lord. May you be our portion forever. May we love one another with the love that you've given us. I thank you for the love that you put in Kathy's heart for me, Lord. I thank you for the love that you put into my children and my grandchildren that love me. I'm a very, very wealthy, wealthy man, Lord, because of your love being poured out upon upon those around me. Thank you for these people here at Calvary Bremerton, the way they love on Cathy and I. And Lord, without love, we're nothing. I so cherish meeting together with these people the way that they love you, Lord, the way that they walk in fellowship with you, the zeal that they have for you, the desire they have to know you and study your word and to pray and to intercede and to serve one another. Truly, truly a privilege, Lord, to be in Bremerton at this point in time and to for spiritual purposes, Lord, for love, for calling, for such a time as this, to be here and to be yoked up, Lord, with a group of people that love you, Lord, and that want to glorify you. Lord, use us. Here we are. Use us. Use us for your kingdom and glory in these last days. Let us do what we can, Lord, in the power of your holy spirit. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
