You ready? Alright. Here we go. Twin. Here we go. Alright. Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night. Let's pray. Welcome, Facebook, wherever else you are. Clovis is doing a podcast and a way of tracking it and all, so that's fun. Alright. Let's pray. Father, we come before you and we thank you for this Monday night that we can gather on July 3 at Rob and Vicki's home to study Jeremiah 15. And Lord, we lift up Bertie. We lift up Sherry. We lift up Bertie with her cancer. God, we pray that you'd heal her. We pray that she'd sing and praise your holy name like a beautiful bird. And Lord, we lift up Sherry. We thank you, Lord. She finally got a hip replacement, and we pray that you help her to recover. No complications. Nothing to impede her progress. We pray for Mike Goodson and others who have been sick. Nancy, just pray you continue to heal each one. We thank you for the many miracles you've been doing this past year. And, Lord, we commit this bible study in your hands. Bless it. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the lord. Alright. So who wants to sing the battle hymn of the republic? I don't know it. I'll bet it Remember it? Thank you. Alright. What's that? I think a woman wrote that as her contribution to helping the Lord. Praise the Lord. I can look it up. She did. Wanna explain the the words of it? Hi, Nancy. Hi. Where where's that where's the scripture taken from trampling out the vintage where the grapes are wrath restored? Isaiah 63. Yeah. So picture of the Lord's return. Right? Right. Amen. So in the in the revolutionary war, there were godly people that were looking ultimately to the millennium. Right? The return of Jesus Christ. His return. He returns at Basra, present day, Southern Jordan, Petra, Mount Seer. Jesus returns and he the blood is gonna be as high as the horse's bridle, right? Revelation 19. And he's gonna he's going to make his triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem after having come across Armageddon on up into the city, and we're going to come back with them. And so he comes for the remnant of Israel as they're crying out, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. So praise the Lord. Amen. Alright. Tomorrow, July 4, will we make it to two hundred and fifty years? Americans? I read the article. You hope not? Maybe maybe not as an American. Where are we at right now? February? Two forty eight? Three three years away? Yeah. Okay. I don't know. It's not looking too good. For us to be gone. Be good, yeah. Can anything stop the decline? Repentance. Repentance, all right. Okay, Jeremiah 15. We want to be aware of our opportunity to be voting and to help stop 5,599 in the primary need 200,000 signatures for the referendum one hundred one, right? Referendum one hundred one is to stop the state of Washington from being able to kidnap. It's called the kidnap bill. Being able to kidnap children from the public school and take them to a government location without the knowledge of the parents and to allow the children who profess that they wanna change their gender from that happening. So, let's pray. Father, we pray that there'd be overwhelming support for referendum one zero one to stop the kidnapping of children that it would be reversed and that the children would come under the umbrella of their parents, their moms and dad to talk these things through and protect these children from all the groomers and all of the lies and deception, the pedophiles, the whole homosexual agenda. And Lord, we pray that these children would be able to celebrate the gender that you've given them Lord, whether male or female. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Alright. I wouldn't wanna be raising kids in the public school today. I'll tell you. Jeremiah chapter 15, Then said the Lord unto me, though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people. Cast them out of my sight and let them go forth. That is a sad day when God says, I won't even hear your prayers anymore and if there were godly men like Moses and Samuel who are great intercessors, even if they came along to intercede on behalf of these people, I'm not listening. It's not going to happen. And in Exodus chapter 32, Moses prayed on behalf of let's turn to Exodus 32. Exodus 32. We'll see how Moses stood in the gap. So the backdrop is the children of Israel in Chapter 32 made a golden calf and Moses was up on the mount for forty days getting the Decalogue, 10 commandments. And when he came down, Joshua couldn't be in the area of the up there with him, but he's saying, hey, there's a noise, you know, it's a noise of war. Moses says, no, that's not the noise of war. It's the noise of playing. It's the noise of sexual immorality. So very quickly, the children of Israel concocted to impress upon Aaron to fashion a golden calf that they could all worship the golden calf with the religious system they learned in Egypt. And so Verse seven says, And the Lord said unto Moses, get thee down for thy people whom thou brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. And I would say, they're not my people. They have turned aside quickly out of the way and out of the way. Jesus says, I'm the way. The early church was called the way. We're told to walk that narrow path, right? We're told to walk that narrow is the way that leads to life eternal and few there be that find it broad is the way in Matthew seven that leads to destruction, right? And many go in there at. So they're walking out of the way, which I commanded them that they made a melted calf and have worshiped and have sacrificed there onto and said, these are my gods, little g gods, oh Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. So God's a jealous God. He's a Paul said that I'm jealous over you with a Godly jealous jealousy Church of Corinth because I've espoused you to one husband even to Christ. And he says, I'm nervous because as the serpent beguiled Eve, I'm nervous that somebody might seduce you. You might be seduced to a different gospel, a different Jesus, a different spirit. And so the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people and behold it is a stiff necked people. Stiff necked means what? Stubborn. Stubborn. Very, very stubborn. Now therefore, let me alone that my wrath may burn against them and that I may consume them and I'll make of thee a great nation. Wow, Moses' moment. It's his moment. It's like, wow, you recognize me how great I am, Lord, you're going to wipe all these people out who are brought forth from Abraham and your promises to Abraham, aren't they, yay and amen, you're going to raise up a people for me now, you're to wipe these guys out. And so what a temptation for Moses, how intoxicating it would be for Moses that we see that this is a test for Moses. It's a test, right? And he says, and Moses besought the Lord and his God and said, Lord, why does thy wrath burn against thy people whom thou has brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? So why God? You've redeemed these people. Wherefore should the Egyptians speak and say, mischief did he bring them out to slay them in the mountains and consume them from the face of the earth. So he's saying, Lord, your reputation is such that the Egyptians are going to be able to say, hey, God couldn't even get these people into the promised land. He wasn't able to. Wow. Moses is pretty bold. Now Moses is praying. He's interceding. He's letting it out there. You know, Lord, you know, you don't need to slam and turn from their fierce wrath and repent of this. So Lord, change your mind, reconsider, Lord in Habakkuk three:two, Lord in your wrath, remember mercy, God, remind them of His mercy and calm down. Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel, thy servants to whom thou did swear by thine own cell and said unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven and all the land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed and thy shall inherit forever. And notice it says, and the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto this people. So, Lamentations three twenty two and twenty three, the Lord's mercies are new every morning. And Moses turned and went down from the mount and the two tablets of the testimony were in his hand and the tablets were written on both their sides, on the one side and on the other, were they written and thy tablets were the work of God and the writing was the writing of God engraved upon the tablets. And so Moses the intercessor, God used Moses to intercede and we have Jesus whoever lives to intercede for us. And then in Numbers, turn to Numbers 14, Numbers 14. Now the occasion for this is the people are complaining and they're whining and complaining under Moses. The 12 spies went in and 10 came back with an unbelieving report and it permeated the hearts of the people. Unbelief is like an infection. It's like a disease and it just melted the hearts of the people and they began to say, we're going to stone Moses and Aaron, we're going to stone these guys and we're going to raise up a new leader and we're going to go back to Egypt. We're going to head back to Egypt and that made the Lord pretty angry. And so it says verse 11, and the Lord said unto Moses, how long will this people provoke me and how long will it be before they believe me for all the signs which I've shown among them, all the things he did, all the plagues, all the even the very parting of the Red Sea and they came into this land and I'm feeding them with manna from heaven and they don't like the manna from heaven anymore. They want meat. And Moses said unto the Lord, then the Egyptians shall hear of it that brought us up the people of the might from among them. And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land for they have heard that the Lord art among this people that the Lord art seen face to face and that the cloud stands over them that thou goest before them by daytime in a pillar of cloud and pillar of fire by night. So they've heard that you're protecting them with a pillar of fire you know, by night and a cloud by day to shield them from the hot sun and all. And so the Shekinah glory of God that's appeared to them. Now that will kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard of thy fame of thee will speak saying, because the Lord was not able, so Lord, your glory is at stake. Your glory, your reputation is at stake. The nations around will say, you were unable. Is there anything too hard for God? Remember that? So bring this people under this land who had swore to give it unto them. Therefore, he had slain them in the wilderness. And now I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great according as thou has spoken saying, the Lord is long suffering and great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgressions by no means clearing the guilty visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children under the third and fourth generation. And pardon, I beseech thee the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy as thou has forgiven this people from Egypt even until now. And so the Lord said, I have pardoned according to your word, Moses the intercessor, but as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord because all those men who have seen my glory and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness and have put me to the test now these 10 times. Paul talks about this in one Corinthians 10, these 10 times, but be careful not to provoke the Lord as they did and have not hearkened unto me and so have not hearkened unto my voice. Surely they shall not see the land which I swore to give unto them their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoke me see it, but my servant Caleb, because he has another spirit with him, has followed me fully him and bring it into the land where shall possess it. Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley. And so basically what he is saying is that the only two of this generation that are going to make it into the land is Caleb and Joshua. The children 20 years and younger are all going to perish or 20 years and older, they're all going to perish, the children are going to make it. But the only of this generation is Caleb and Joshua. And so for forty years, one year for each day that the spies went into the land to spy it out, you're going to get a year. So you're going to go in circles for forty years. Shoes aren't going to wear out, I'm going to feed you and all that, but your carcasses are going to fill the wilderness and so a constant reminder. And we can learn from this how serious the sin of unbelief is. Unbelief. So the writer of Hebrews is using this illustration of their failure, that generation's failure to enter into God's rest because they didn't believe. So he is saying, you as a generation might fail to enter into that rest because of your own belief. So the Hebrews were going back into Judaism so as to avoid that persecution and the writer to these Hebrew believers tell them, don't do that, don't do that. God has something far better for you. So we see Moses intercession and then Samuel in one Samuel seven:five-eleven, let's look there. Also Samuel being a little boy as Robbie was pointing out as a little boy, as he was among Eli and Hophni and Phineas, the Lord would speak to little Samuel as as Hannah pardon me? Oh, would speak to him and and he'd go into Eli's room and he'd say, you say something? And he said, no. I didn't say anything. He did it a couple of times and he said, alright, now if you hear against, you know, say your servant your servant's here, your servant's listening. So the important thing to be an intercessor is to have an ear. Jesus said to the seven churches, he that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. I'm convinced a whole lot of us that profess to be Christians today are not hearing from God. We're listening to everybody else except God. And so in one Samuel seven:five-eleven, And Samuel said, Gather all Israel at Mitzvah and I will pray for you under the Lord. And he gathered together at Mitzvah and drew water and poured it out that day and said there, we have sinned against the Lord and Samuel judged the children of Israel at Mitzvah. And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together at Mitzvah, the Lord of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard of it, they were afraid of the Philistines. And the children of Israel said unto Samuel, cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us that that will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. And so Samuel interceding on their behalf there and then also in one Samuel twelve:nine-twenty five. So we don't need to read that, but you get the idea of their intercess, Samuel and Moses being intercessors and God saying, even if someone were to raise up even if you're to raise up Moses and Samuel, as they were able to abate my wrath and turn my wrath away from the those that are being ready to be judged, these guys are right for judgment and I'm done listening. I'm done listening to them. Don't even pray for these people anymore. And that's a that's a very bad place to be to cross the line that the Lord will not hear you anymore. I don't believe any of us have crossed that line and Paul would talk about where you resist the Lord for so long and you come of a reprobate mind, are past feeling. So a cauterized conscience, your conscience is past feeling. Robbie would say their cycle pass, you know, and so they reached the point of no return, a point where they have no ability to come back and yet the Lord is going to bring a guy into the picture here named Manasseh that somehow he was able to come back. Right? Well, Rob and I were talking about people that continually reject, we don't cast our pearls before swine. So there's people in our family, there's people in our lives where we may not take the gospel that which is precious to us and allow them to treat it badly, but I don't see I've never had the Lord tell me don't pray for somebody anymore. I mean, it could though. He could. Mean, anybody else the Lord tell you not to pray for somebody? Just I'm he sure it I'm sure, you know, you could come to that place, you know? But I see the example of Jesus on the cross saying, Father, forgive them for what they do. I see the example of Stephen, laying up the sin to their charge. I see the example of Judas, betrays thou the son of man with a kiss. He is long suffering. He gives them space to repent. And we talk in terms of being ripened under judgment. There is a point where the Lord comes to the Ninevites and they are ready to be judged. They repent and then he waits another 100 close to one hundred and fifty years before he winds up judging them. They are ripe under the judgment. In the time of Abraham, the Amalekites weren't ready to be judged, going to be four hundred years later. All right, now they are going be judged, you know. So I don't want to see how far I can get away from the Lord to find where that line is, that line you are not supposed to pass, you know. I've heard pastors say that for many of us, have a rubber band that's attached to us and when we start to get away from the Lord, it comes back and we slam and are broken, you know. And that's the Lord's loving hand to keep us in that place where we don't destroy ourselves, we don't hurt ourselves, because we're his children. But how far the Lord allow these globalists to go with their insanity, their pride, all that kind of stuff is beyond me. It's mind boggling to watch the evil and how intense and how accelerated the evil is as it's intensifying. It's like they're trying like the Nazis to break through into the occultic realm of the demonic realm to get more power from Satan, you know, for their feverish, you know, their feverish. And so the only thing holding them back is the restrainer, the work of the Holy Spirit in your life and my life as we intercede on behalf of those that are perishing, we can slow it down. We can slow down the corruption that's taking place and make the globalist so frustrated. Now when the Lord takes us out, when we're raptured out of here, when the restraint is removed, boy, oh boy, I wouldn't want to be here. I wouldn't want to be here, right? So you and I have a relationship with God and we have access to boldly come before His throne of grace to find grace, mercy, help in our time of need. Verse two, And it shall come to pass if they say unto you, where shall we go? Then thou shall tell them thus saith the Lord, such as are for death to death. So Jeremiah, if they ask you, get us out of this. Now the false prophets remember telling them exactly what they want to hear. The false prophets like we studied last week, Micaiah is saying, I'll put a lion spirit into the profits for King Ahab and he'll go out into battle and the lion spirit will tell them they're going to win. So they're still getting information, but it's false information. We're living at a time of false information, enormous amount of deception that's taking place in the times in which we're living. And so it's very, very important for you and I to be lovers of truth and to be in God's word and for the Lord to speak to us. And when He does speak to us, now we can intercede on behalf of people who are incredibly, incredibly deluded and deceived in the time in which we live in this, strong delusion. So in two Thessalonians two, what's the Lord say about those who reject the truth? That He's going to give them over to a strong delusion that they would what? To believe the lie. Now you and I are trying to wake them up. Wake up, wake up. But they're rejecting the truth. Over and over again they're rejecting the truth of God's word and they're listening to false prophets. And so they're going to reach a place where God's going to say, Alright, you've been rejecting everyone I've been sending to you. You've been rejecting the truth for so long. Now we can see in Romans one eighteen what happened to them when they reject the truth, right? Because they reject the truth of creation, what's God do? Their base minds, yes. And so that's Pride Month. These are people where God says on display, I'm judging you and you're on display with my judgment that you're doing things that even animals don't do to each other, right? You're living like beasts. And I'm going to give you over to men with men, women with women. That's part of God's judgment against them because they've rejected, they worship and serve the creature rather than the creator who is blessed. So because they suppress the truth, they reject the truth of creation and they're in idolatry and sorcery and wickedness and watching, worshiping the devil, worshiping the creation rather than the creator. Devil is a creative being. God says, all right, I'm going to give you over to your base desires. And how tragic that is. Now we live in a time where the wicked don't like that. And so they're trying to rewrite history. They're trying to rewrite what is truth and they're trying to normalize. We would use the word normalization, men with men, women with women. So they're trying to normalize perversion. They're trying to normalize things that go against the God of creation, the designer, the way he's designed males and females and marriage and having children and the whole thing. So he's the one God's the one that came up with the sexual union of Adam and Eve, the two becoming one in the beginning made it male and female. He's a God of order and they're trying to destroy the order of the Creator and he says, okay, I'll give you over to chaos, confusion, perversion and your life is going to be a very unfulfilling lifestyle, a lifestyle where you will not experience contentment or peace, joy, these things, because you're going against the grain, you're going against the designer. And that's part of his judgment. So it shall come to pass if they say unto thee, we shall, where shall we go? Then you shall tell them, thus saith the Lord, such as for death to death. So what kind of message would that be? It'd be a message of we're going to be invaded by the Babylonians. The Babylonians are coming. God is going to use the Babylonians in the sphere of war, and they're going to kill with the sword a whole lot of people. People don't want to hear about that kind of a judgment from God, do they? And such as for the sword to the sword, such as for famine to famine and such as for captivity to captivity. So the plague, the sword, the famine, the captivity. And four different ways he's going to reduce the population and humble these people and bring them down. And I will appoint over them four kinds, sayeth the Lord, the sword, the slay, the dog to tear, the fowls of the heaven and the beast of the earth to devour and to destroy. And so Satan is the destroyer. At Armageddon, the Lord is going to cause the Kings of the earth. He's going to cause a feast to come, Revelation sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen in there. He is going to cause the birds to come to feast upon the carcasses of the fallen kings, the fallen armies after Armageddon and blood as high as the horse's bridle and it's going to be a feast upon the slain of the earth. So God's judgment now will cause them to be removed under all kingdom. So some are going to be taken into captivity. Jeremiah in Chapter 39, Verse 11, King Nebuchadnezzar is going to tell Nebzaradon to go easy on Jeremiah and give him liberty, give him the freedom to choose where he wants to go. If he wants to come to Babylon, he can come to Babylon. If he wants to stay in Jerusalem, he can stay in Jerusalem. Jeremiah somehow chooses to stay in Jerusalem and there's a governor named Gedaliah. Gedaliah goes against Nebuchadnezzar. All they needed to do was cooperate with Nebuchadnezzar and the small poor remnant of people that were going to stay in Jerusalem would be left alone. But no, they got to start acting up and they wind up fleeing to Egypt and you can't outrun Nebuchadnezzar. He's going to come after him there and he does. But they're sore losers so they killed Jeremiah. Tradition says Jeremiah died in Egypt because these guys are sore losers. And so I'll cause verse four, And I will cause them be removed into all kingdoms of the earth because Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah for that which he did in Jerusalem. So Manasseh was born during the time where King Hezekiah was sick and King Hezekiah went against the wall and began to pray and cry out to the Lord. The Lord sent Nathan the prophet and told Hezekiah, get your house in order. This sickness is under death. He had a boil, a really bad boil and it was going to cause him to die. So Hezekiah in crying out to the Lord, the Lord relented, gave Hezekiah fifteen more years. And in that fifteen additional years, Hezekiah had a son named Manasseh. Hezekiah was a good king. Manasseh was the most wicked evil king that the nation of Israel ever had. He began to reign at 12 years of age and he reigned for fifty five years and he even was so evil, he led the people into idolatry. He desecrated the temple and put little idols in the temple and such. There was no end to his wickedness even to the point of offering his own children as a fiery offering unto Baal, children sacrifice. So let's turn to two Kings chapter 21. Two Kings chapter 21. And since Ravi has such a beautiful voice and such a good reader, we'll have Robbie read two Kings 20 one:one through 18. And then after she's done reading there, we'll have somebody else read two Chronicles thirty three one through 20. Is that it? Yeah. 33. Second Chronicles 33. Let's get there too. Yeah. Yes. Through 18? Yes, please. We're going to have Robbie Facebook people in case you don't if you're not there. Robbie is going to read concerning Manasseh two Kings 20 one:one through 18. Is that right? 18. Here we go. Manasseh was 12 years old when he became king and he reigned fifty five years in Jerusalem and his mother's mother's name was Hebazeba. He did evil in the sight of the Lord according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord dispossessed before the sons of Israel. For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah, his father, had destroyed, and he erected altars for Baal, made an Asherah as Ahab, king of Israel, had done and worshiped all the host of the heavens and served them. He built altars in the house of the Lord of which the Lord had said, in Jerusalem, I will put my name. For he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. He made his son pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and used divination, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord provoking him to anger. Then he set the carved image of Asherah that he had made in the house of which the Lord said to David and to his son Solomon, in this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever. And I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them. But they did not listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do evil more than the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the sons of Israel. Now the Lord spoke through his servants because the prophets saying, because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all the Amorites did who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols. Therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel. Behold, I am bringing such calamity on Jerusalem and Judah that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle. I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. I will abandon the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they will become as plunder and spoil to all their enemies because they have done evil in my sight and have been provoking me to anger since the day their fathers came from Egypt even to this day. Moreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin with which he made Judah sin in doing evil in the sight of the Lord. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and all that he did and his sin, which he committed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And Manasseh slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his own house in the garden of Uzzah and Ammon, his son became king in his place. Thank you very much. Alright. So we get a little backdrop of Manasseh. Now another aspect of Manasseh is in chapter 33 of second Chronicles. Who wants to read that? Jim. Jim's going to read it. Second Chronicles 33, he's going to read to verse 20. 33, one through 20. Now check this out. This is this can be very interesting because Manasseh is really wicked, right? And we talked about how far can a guy go to where you don't even pray for him anymore. This is the most wicked king in the history of Israel. Judgment is coming upon Israel because of his wickedness. He even sawed Isaiah in two. Isaiah the prophet. Manasseh didn't like hearing Isaiah to speak and put him in the trunk of a tree and they sawed him in half. So in Hebrews 11 when he when it talks about their sawn asunder, that's speaking of Isaiah. Alright. Wow. Here we go. K. Manasseh was 12 years old when he began to reign and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. But did did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, like unto the abomination of the heathen whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down and he reared up altars for Baalim and made groves and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. Also, he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said, in Jerusalem shall my name be forever. And he built altars for all the host of heaven and in the two courts of the house of the Lord. And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom. Also, he observed times and used enchantments. He used witchcraft. He dealt with a familiar spirit with wizards. He wrought much of the evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke him to anger. And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, in this house in Jerusalem which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel will I put my name forever. Neither will I anymore remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers, so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them according to the whole law, the statutes, and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to and to do worse than the heathen whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel. And the Lord spake to Manasseh and to his people, but they would not hearken. Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns and bound him with fetters and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers and prayed unto him and he was entreated of him and heard his supplication and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God. Now after this, he built a wall without the city of David on the West Side of Gihon in the valley even to the entering in at the Fish Gate encompassed about Ophel and raised it up a very great height and put captains of war in all the fence cities of Judah. And he took away the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the Lord and all the altars that had been built in the mount of the house of the Lord and in Jerusalem and cast them out of the city. And he repaired the altar of the Lord and sacrificed there on peace offerings and thank offerings and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel. Nevertheless, the people did sacrifice still in the high places yet unto the Lord their God only. You want 18 too? Go to 20? Okay. Sure. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and his prayer unto his God and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the Lord God of Israel. Behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. His prayer also and how God was entreated of him and all his sins and his trespass and the places wherein he built high places and set up groves and graven images before he was humbled. Behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers. So Manasseh slept with his fathers and they buried him in his own house and Ammon his son reigned in his stead stead. That's great. So we don't need to go around the room and ask what do you think it means. Right? It's not about feelings. We're reading the word of God and the word of God is telling us what it means. That's what a Bible study is. Okay? So here we are in verse 16 of second Chronicles 36 verse 16. But they mocked the messengers of God and despised his words and misused his prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people till there was no remedy. They reached a point where there's no remedy. God sent messengers, he sent prophets, he sent pastors, he sent people to talk to the people, talk to the nation and they just continued to reject, reject, reject. They love the false prophets. The false prophets were telling them what they wanted to hear. And the last week when we studied, we went into Timothy and the first and second Timothy and we looked at verses that spoke of the apostasy that's upon us where people would have teachers bringing teachers under themselves having itching ears, meaning they're going to want churches and pastors to tell them what they want to hear. Pastors that don't have the guts to teach the Word of God. And they're also going to give themselves over to doctrines of demons. They're going to be seduced by demons speaking through these guys. So that's the times that we're living in. The church has permeated the professing church with enormous amounts of false doctrine. And Jesus said in Matthew 24, you know, take heed that no man deceive you. One of the greatest weapons the devil uses is deception. The way that the devil gets away with the deception is that the people have been dummy down. The church has been dummy down because they haven't been taught the word of God. They don't have a working knowledge of the scripture. So they're very easily deceived in the times that we're living in. So we want to make sure that in our home, as for me and my house, we're going to serve the Lord. We have a responsibility to make sure that our children, our grandchildren, those in our sphere of influence that they're trained up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that they get the word to get the word of God in them. And when they come to an accountable age, they can make their own decisions, but we have the responsibility to make sure that our children have been raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord to take them through the Bible. Read the Bible with your kids, read the Bible at home, allow the word of God, to get in them And that's the way God will transform and change. Okay, so verse four, And I will cause them to be removed in all kingdoms of the earth because Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, King of Judah for that which he did in Jerusalem. So where sin abounds, grace does much more abound. Enormous abounding sin that's happening. Even though Manasseh got saved, it didn't reverse the judgment that God is going to bring. Now a grandson of Manasseh is Josiah, King Josiah and he's started at seven years of age and he brought reforms. The two sons after Manasseh, God executed them quickly. But Josiah, he's able to reign for a period of time and bring out reform and do good things. He's the reformer revival kind of a king. So he tried to remove the idolatry and stuff that keeps being reintroduced. And then he died in battle with Pharaoh Necho. All right, so verse five, For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? Or who shall bemoan thee? Or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest? So you've got no friends. Even as I said, even though Josiah tried, it was too little too late. You got no friends, you got nobody to come help you. Thou has forsaken me, sayeth the Lord, thou backwards. So you're backsliding. You've gone backsliding away from the Lord. Therefore, I will stretch out my hand against thee and destroy thee. I am weary with repenting. So God's unwilling that any would perish but that all would come to repentance. God's long suffering, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. But God says, I'm weary, I'm weary, I've been long suffering. I've been watching this. Jeremiah is going to minister to this nation for forty one years. Forty one years of telling them, repent, stop doing what you're doing. Stop doing what you're doing. And I'll fan them with a fan in the gates and in the land and I will bereave them of children and I will destroy my people since they return not from their way. So the fire that started, the Lord is going to fan that fire. It's going to take them over and notice I'm going to destroy my people. These are my people, but I'm going to destroy them. Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the sea. So because of the act of war, the men are going to be killed. There's going be enormous amounts of widows that are going And I have brought upon them against the mothers of the young men a spoiler at noonday. I have caused him to fall upon her suddenly and tears upon the city. So there's going be no escape, no escape. When the Babylonians put a siege upon the city of Jerusalem, there's no escape. The Assyrians came against Judah, they destroyed the northern 10 northern tribes, remember we studied in July. They tried to hit the fortified cities that Manasseh built, remember the forts and Hezekiah and others tried to build. These fortified cities would kind of help if there's a military campaign that's coming against Jerusalem, these fortified cities would help fend them off. Well, the fortified cities fell, but Jerusalem was able to withstand the attack of the Assyrians. Well, then later, the Babylonians defeated the Assyrians and the Babylonians were successful in May with destroying Jerusalem. So it's elongated. It took some time, but it did happen. Their widows or excuse me, verse nine. She has she that has born seven languishes, she has died. Her son has gone down while it is half yet day. She has been ashamed and confounded and the residue of them will I deliver to sword before their enemies, saith the Lord. So God's going to allow a quick death to take place upon them. He says verse 10. Now this is Jeremiah. This is his response. Any of you ever wind or complain to God that you don't like your calling? You don't like your trials, things that are going on in your life? This guy this guy is a prophet. He's called to be a prophet. God says before I formed you in your mother's womb, I knew you and ordained you a prophet under the nations. Right? And Jeremiah, you know, he really didn't he really didn't like this calling. You know, this isn't his favorite thing. But he says, what was me, my mother, that thou has borne me a man of strife and a man of contention? So he's like, I hate the day that I was born. I wish I'd have never been born. Remember Job said that too? Job's like, it would been better off if I'd have never been born. You ever felt like it would been better off if you'd never been born? I don't know. You can reach you can all of us can come to that place sometime of agony, of despair. We talk about discouragement, depression. Charles Spurgeon talked about the pastor's fainting fits. Charles Spurgeon struggled greatly with discouragement even though he is the most prolific pastor of his era. He'd look out there and he'd see the decline. He'd see the modernization when the when evolution was coming with scopes trials and all those things. The modernist came along and they wanted to modernize Christianity by giving into theistic evolution so that they would appear to be smart to the world. They wouldn't appear to be smart. And Spurgeon was warning toward the end of the eighteen hundreds. He was warning the churches don't fall into the downgrade, don't fall into the downgrade. And as evolution was pressing hard and don't, you know, stay with the word of God and so deeply, deeply grieved him. His wife later said that part of the reason he died so young was he was a man that was that would grieve. He would grieve deeply watching what was happened and it affected his physical health. Not to mention all the people coming against him because he was a lone voice trying to wake the churches up to don't give into this compromise, don't give into the liberalism that was permeating the church. And so Jeremiah, he's crying out to God and I've been a Christian since I was 20 years old. I'm 63 and there's different phases of our growth as Christians. There's times where I shook my fist at God and angry at him and all and times where, feel like quitting or it's unfair and you have your pity parties and nobody wants to come to your pity party and time where you vent, we call it venting and things like that. But I want you to know that the ups and downs are real. If you go in Psalm 42, you see David, a man after God's own heart and he's crying out, why art thou cast down, oh my soul? So he's talking to himself. Why aren't thou cast down all my soul? So we have a seat, the soul is the seat of the mind, will, the emotions. So he is noticing that I'm down, I'm down. Depression, discouragement, being down is normal. It's normal. So don't think that you have to always be up. There are circumstances that come into our life that take us down. Even Jesus in his humanity was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Right? He would cry. Jesus would weep at times because he'd see the destruction of sin in people's lives and it just grieved him. It overwhelmed him. So that's normal. What's not normal is staying there. You don't want to stay there. So a guy like Elijah has a tremendous victory against the four fifty prophets of Baal, right? And you would think he's pumped and then Jezebel makes a threat. And so it's like Hillary Clinton making a threat against John MacArthur, right? By this time tomorrow, you know, we're going to grab a hold of you, John, and we're going to do to you what you did to them. What would John do? He would bring it on, right? He wouldn't care one bit. He's 80 some years old, you know. But Elijah outran the chariots and he goes to a brook and the Lord feeds Elijah with some meat from a raven bringing him, an unclean bird bringing bringing the meat to eat. The brook there has got water. Is able to give him some water. He is able to sleep. A lot of times, sleep deprivation. A lot of times, physiologically, what we've gone through so traumatic can lead toward a place of discouragement. So the Lord allows us to have a little time in Hawaii, eat some good fish, sit out in the sun and recharge your batteries, right? Got to recharge those batteries because we are a three part beings, spirit, soul and physical. And so they all affect each other. Jeremiah for some reason is overwhelmed in his mind, in his heart and he needs to vent, he needs to cry out to God. So David back in Psalm 42, he answers his own question, Why art thou cast down on my soul? Why art thou disquieted within me? And he gives a solution, hope thou in God. Get your eyes off of yourself and back on to God, right? So too with Elijah, Elijah, I've given you enough time to be restored. Now you go out and you anoint Elisha in your stead and so get back to work. Getting back to work for the Christian is a good place to be. Getting back to work, finding your calling, what is your calling, what is it you're to do? And after that time of respite, that time of waiting upon the Lord, then get back to work. Working, doing what we're called to do really, really helps. For me, Sunday, Monday and next Sunday in the interim here, there can be a day or two or something, a period of time in there where I get discouraged. And in that discouragement, the devil wants to really pounce on Kathy and I particularly on Saturdays. Saturdays are really, really tough day and the devil wants us to quit. So it can come from children, grandchildren, family, friends. It can come in a myriad of different ways the way the devil wants to bring discouragement into your life. And the best thing I found is to persevere through that discouragement, persevere through Saturday, be in the word, be in prayer, which we are and make it to the van in the morning. I gotta get to the van in the morning and gotta get my shower, I gotta get my notes ready, I gotta get up at 04:44 and go over to little sugar shack and the devil's just screaming at me. What an idiot. You live in this little shack, know, what kind of God do you serve? You know, the devil's just always trying to discourage me. Twenty eight years you've been doing this here. Twenty eight years, what good do you think is coming out of it? Know, just all those kind of voices. And so you persevere, you recognize it's a lie, you recognize it's from the pit of hell and you get to that van and Kathy is in that van, she's there. And we started it up and we start fighting. We start fighting right there. We start, where are we? No, we don't. We pray immediately we pray. We ask the Lord to bless the day, administer the people. And by the time we get to the church there, we're offloading the stuff, getting it ready and we're still persevering. We're persevering. Now the discouragement comes, well, it's fourth of July weekend, nobody is going to be here. Everyone is going to be gone. There isn't going to be anybody. The devil does it every week, every week. Nobody is going to be here. Hardly anybody is going to be here. And then we persevere through those lies and we wind up I can wind up in the back room and I can hear all of you talking, I can hear Betty laughing and I can hear all this stuff going on and I get so excited. There's people here, there's people here and they're loving on each other. They're praying and they're loving and they're fellowshipping right now. This is a good group of people. I'm so glad we didn't quit. I'm so glad to be here. And then who's ever gonna lead worship? Christie or Rob, you know, is there and Brian's up there and everybody's doing their thing and Kathy is in the Sunday school and we step out to minister and all the discouragement goes away. All the stuff the devil tried to use to get us to quit, Kathy being sick and having difficulty in this way or that or maybe a week where I'm sick, it all goes away. And now you're in the pocket, now you're riding the wave and the Lord is pouring out His spirit and He is ministering to people and a lot of them are looking at you like deer in the headlights like what's he doing and people are getting up and leaving and again, discouragement. They're leaving Rick, you're an idiot, there's too much Bible, talking too long, you're constantly having to resist the discouragement, right? And then you finally get through it and you're just excited. You're excited that people are listening and that people are growing and I can't control the ones that don't like me. They are free to leave. But Pastor Chuck says, don't minister to the ones that don't like you, the ones that leave. Minister to those you minister to. So my focus is, hey, there are some people here today and it doesn't matter what numbers, there are some people here today that God wants me to minister to, to serve them by bringing forth the word. And you come out of the discouragement. So watch how Jeremiah comes out of his discouragement. Watch how the externals discourage him. And if you get your eyes on the externals, watch how he transitioned to the internal. Watch that because that's where it's at. It's the internals. It's God ministering to us internally that gets us through it. Watch as we move through here. So I will cause the enemy to entreat thee in times of evil, in time of affliction excuse me, up verse 10. Woe was me and my mother that she ever has strife. So he's bemoaning the fact that his entire ministry is strife and contention. Every time I turn around, somebody doesn't like me. I get an email, I get a phone call, I get a person that says they're leaving the church. They're trying to throw me in jail. They're saying I'm a nut job, whatever. Strife and contention, strife and contention to the whole earth. Brandon, I'm going have Brandon read Galatians one ten again. Brandon's gone. See what I mean? They just leave, always leaving me right in the midst. So basically, Galatians one ten says, if you're a man pleaser, how can you please God and men? If Paul is saying, if I strove to try and please men, then I'm going to miss out on pleasing God. So that's the fight that's going on is that if you want, how could we come up with a message at Calgary Bremerton that would please the majority of people out there. If we were to do a marketing campaign and evaluate our target market, we want to market and we want to hit a target of people to grow the church and get as many people as we can to be there, what would be our branding? What would be our slogan? What would we say that resonates with where the people are at? You too could be healthy and wealthy. Healthy and wealthy, the prosperity doctrine. Yes, now that's been used for a lot of years. Now as the economy is collapsing as banks, 85 banks this month are going to go out. As more and more people become aware how in jeopardy how our finances are in jeopardy, will the prosperity gospel guys be able to get with that for much longer? So how are they going to have to change their message? What message now? What would you hear? Like So they're going to be losing hope, right? They're going to be losing hope, not just losing their stuff, but losing hope. So you've got to be able to sell them Hopium. Where can you get them what can you get them to hope in that helps them to not melt down and not be overwhelmed with fear because fear is building in the churches today. The second coming of Trump. So you're going to see the churches begin to say we can get America back. It's the Biden's problem. It's Obama's problem. It's the Democrats' problem. We need to get this Republican guy in here that's going to make America great. And that will stall it for a bit until that's exposed, until that goes away. So our job is to get people ready for the return of Jesus Christ. We're at the brink, we're at the edge. Now if they don't want to hear that, not a whole lot we can do about that. My job is to help you to grow deeper in your walking relationship with the Lord so that when reality, the reality of judgment, this judgment is coming on the entire globe, but especially America because we are the highest up, we got the furthest to fall. And as that happens, as our economy erodes, as our military erodes, as our food supply erodes, as all the different machinations that the globalists are trying to do to take us down. We in the church are going to come under persecution. We're going to face a reality that we don't want to face and we're going to have to try and provide answers to people that are melting down and can't cope and can't deal with the adversity that's coming because we've had unprecedented prosperity in this country. So for us, it's occupy telecoms, we're in the world, not out of the world. Do your part on referendum one hundred one to stop the kidnap bill, do everything you can from a voting political standpoint, but do not abdicate your responsibility to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and give over the entire responsibility to a group of people that call them Republicans and they're going to save you. Not going to happen. You're going to be tricked and not going to happen. So shall iron break the Northern iron and bronze? So me, she lent to me on the interest and so he's saying, strife and contention, watch what he says. Have neither lent on interest nor men have lent to me on interest, yet every one of them does curse me. So this would be Kathy and I saying, these false prophets make so much money. They take money and they're always begging for more money. They're always getting it too. And they live in big houses and buy new vehicles and take huge vacations and their kids are all covered and they got retirement and they got everything. We don't beg for money. But man, people hate us. They sure hate us. That's what Jeremiah is saying. I haven't been like the false prophets. Apostle Paul is saying the same thing. I labor. I work with my hands. We suffer. We go through difficulty. Why do people hate us so much? Because you tell them the truth. If you water down the gospel, if you made them feel good in their sin, if you told them what they want to hear, they'll give you all the money you want. Well, I can't do that. That would be I'd be a false prophet who makes merchandise of the people. That's what Peter said. You can recognize a false prophet because they make merchandise of you. You're just a commodity. It's just nickel and noses. And that's what Jeremiah is saying. I didn't do that, but they hate me. And what's Jeremiah's message? His message is, you're sinning. Stop sinning. Come back to the Lord. Get rid of the idolatry. Get rid of the false gods in your homes and stuff. The false gods you're chasing. And he says, verse 11, the Lord said, verily, it shall be well with you. It shall be well with the remnant. I like that. We're a remnant church. It's going to be well with us. We're going to make it. We're hated. Jesus said, If they've hated me, they're going to hate you, Rick. If they've mistreated me, they're going to mistreat you. All they that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, means the only ones that don't suffer persecution are the ones that don't live godly. You're going to be a target. Verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee in a time of evil and in the time of affliction. So in Jeremiah 3nine 11, God's saying, I'm going to cause King Nebuchadnezzar to instruct General Nazareth to treat you well, Jeremiah. I'm going to instruct him to give you your liberty, your freedom. When we take the city and you're still there, you're going to be treated well. And that in fact, Jeremiah 3nine 11, you can see that was the case. Shall iron break the Northern iron and the bronze? No, too strong. The army of the Babylonians is too strong. You don't have the weaponry. They don't have the weaponry. Judah doesn't have the weaponry or the ability to stop them from what's going to happen. Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil. Earlier, King Hezekiah, a Babylonian group of ambassadors came to Jerusalem and he took him into the inner sanctum, they call it, right? Took him into the treasury and showed him all of the wealth, all the gold that Solomon and David and those before him had amassed. So they've got this idea in their head of what's going to be there. In Daniel Chapter five, Belteshazzar actually has some of that gold and the cups and from the temple and everything and they're having a drunken party and Cyrus comes at that moment. But God is saying, I'm going to despoil you. I'm going to cause those that are I'm using to judge you to take your wealth away from you, America. You're going to own nothing and be happy. We're going to wipe out the middle class. The one percenters are going to take all the rest of the wealth and everyone else is going to be poor. That's what he's saying. No more prosperity And we're going to sell the Chinese all of your assets, America. We're going to sell them your farmland. We're going to give them your technology. We're going to send out the entire world to India and all these areas. We're going to implement an environmental social governance to where it's immoral for you and America to have so much and we're going to transfer well to these more impoverished countries that don't have environmental social governments upon them. China is going to be able to build coal plants every week, more and more coal plants. They're going to able to use oil and natural gas, but not you guys, not you. There are manufacturing hub of the world now in India and such, but you Western countries, Western Europe and such, we're going to make it so even the farmers can't use nitrogen fertilizer to grow food. We're going to impoverish you. How many of like that video that I played there and watched it in regard to your pets? Remember what they said about your pets? Novol, Yuval Harari and Klaus Schwab are saying, you people in the West need to starve your pets. Get rid of your pets. Weren't you there? Didn't you hear? Yes. Yes. They want to starve your pets now. Your pets has too much of a carbon paw print. They're wanting to get rid of the pets now. And even if you did keep your pets, they're warning them, they'd only be able to eat bugs like you. You're only going be able to eat bugs. So I mean, I think they crossed the line there. There's a whole lot of pet owners that aren't going to stand for that, right? You can kill the babies, but don't touch my pets, right? All right. So these are threats. They're threatening, threatening, threatening, threatening, creating fear, enormous amounts of fear in people. No pushback yet. No pushback yet. France is pushing back right now. Riot's breaking out. So you're too weak to deal with the military aspect of it. Your substance, your treasures will I give to the spoil without price and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. So you're gonna be plundered. The wealth is gonna be transferred. And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not for a fire is kindled in mine anger, shall burn upon you. So part of the nation's going to go into captivity into Babylon and the Jews are going to make so much money being business people when they go to Babylon, they're never going to want to come back. When Nehemiah and Ezra are trying to rebuild the temple, they don't want to come back. Farm life is hard. Wayne and Brittany and all them went away this week. They've been gone. And man, I'm telling you, I've been having to feed the goats. They won't stop squawking. They won't stop their belly aching. And I've had to feed the chickens and when you feed chickens and all that, what do you step in? Look what I wear. I'm not the guy that wears the big hip boots and then the dogs and all this stuff. And gardening gardening is a tough work. I mean, you take and make these guys business people and they don't have to get dirty anymore. And they can you know, like Kathy is saying, hey, Rick, when when everything's falling apart, you know, do we wanna get chickens yet? Do we wanna, you know, get ready? I said, no. All these people raising all these chickens, they got so many eggs. I can buy them for $4 a, a dozen, man. What do we want to do? Well, we want to get the chicken coop ready and we want to get the stuff ready, but we don't need to do it now because there's so much food at very inexpensive price. Why would I want to go out there and indulge in being a farmer now? I'm pretty lazy, right? I mean, all you guys want to give me eggs, to give me food, veggies, all that, you got to go there and mess with it. There's a point in time where I'm going to have to, right? I'm going to have to develop a garden and I got all the ideas up here. I read a lot. You need a hoop house. You need a cover so the stuff doesn't come on your food, you know, chemtrailing and all. But as far as I've never had any chickens, I know a woman that has chickens and she actually, I can't tell you, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. Wouldn't believe me I told you how much she takes care of those chickens. Wouldn't believe me if I told you. Alright. I'm not going to tell you. But she actually cleans their rear ends. Yeah. She's got the best eggs you can imagine. Cleanest best. It's labor. Well, the term I'm trying to look for, labor intensive, very labor intensive. If I go to Babylon and I'm a businessman there, why would I want to go back and do that labor intensive existence, Plenty of growers out there that bring their food to the farmers market and I just buy a dozen eggs, right? I don't have to go through all that. Well, you and I are heading to a time where we're all going to need gardens, raise chickens and all that food costs and food availability is going to be crazy. But you're going to go into captivity. He says, verse 15, O Lord, thou knowest, remember me and visit me and avenge me of my persecutors. Take me not away in thy long suffering. Know that for thy sake, have suffered rebuke. So here comes a wine again, he's wine again. Jeremiah the prophet, the weeping prophet, he's wine again. Lord, don't forget about me. Don't leave me here with these people and forget about me. Remember me, Lord. Look at all I've gone through for you. Look at all we've sacrificed for you, Thy words were found, so here's the internal. So the external, you're hearing the external against them. You're hearing about his mind, the discouragement. But here's the secret. Here's the secret. Here's how you keep going. And this is what all of us in the church need. We need the internal. We need the word of God, right? We don't need psychology. We don't need therapy. We need the word of God internally to speak to us and to nourish us and build us up so that we can face reality. The church is not prepared in America for the reality that's coming. They're trying to hide. They're living in denial. They haven't been taught the word of God in the last thirty years. Very few churches teach the word of God. Very few Christians have a working knowledge of the scripture. So thy words were found and I did eat them and thy word was unto me the joy and the rejoicing of my heart for I am called by thy name, Lord, God of hosts. How many times we've been discouraged and we finally shut everything off, we open our bible and we start to read the word of God and God ministers to us. How many times Kathy and I are wrestling with things during the week and then we go to a bible study when we're at Calvary Costa Mesa. We're wrestling. We're wrestling with life. And we go in there to Calvary Costa Mesa, we worship and then we sit down and there's a bible study and it's like pastor Chuck, he was with us. He knows how did he know that? You know, the bible study is exactly what we need to hear and then we're like, we're driving home going, wow, we're going to make it another day. It's going to be okay, you know, because we have faith. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God, right? So we have faith. So let's look at some verses that look at the word of God as food, right? What did the Lord Jesus say to Peter? Do you love me what? What's the food, Pastors? The Word of God. Psychology is not the Word of God. Therapy, feel good messages do not feed the Christian spirit, right? So all right, Job twenty-three 12, who wants that one? Matthew four:four. Okay. Psalm nineteen:seven-ten. Okay, Steve. Psalm 119. 119 has a lot of good passages. So Psalm 119 verse 72. Okay. Psalm 119 verse 97. 119, 97. Psalm one nineteen one zero one through one zero three. And Psalm one nineteen one eleven. Rob didn't give me my light tonight, so I'm I'm really I'm really struggling here. Uh-oh. But it's okay. I'm I'm doing good. I held back 01:11. Back in darkness. Yeah. 01:11. If I can read my my writing right. Okay. All right, here we go. We're going to look at God's Word as food. Thy words were found and I did eat them. What if you couldn't find God's Word? What if there weren't Bibles? What if the Word of God wasn't readily available? Thy words were found and I did eat them. And thy word was unto me the joy and the rejoicing of my heart. Do you know the doctrine of the rapture is supposed to be the blessed hope? It's supposed to be the joy and rejoicing of my heart. It's not supposed to be doom and gloom in a post trib rapture. There's no joy and blessing in a post trib rapture. Why would somebody take away the joy of Jesus coming for his bride? Why would they do that unless they're led by the devil? Alright, Job twenty-three 12. I hope I got it. I hope I can read that. Yep. That's it. Neither have I gone back from the commandments of his lips. I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Alright. Let's let's let's talk about that. We can talk about I've esteemed the words of his mouth more than what? So alright. How many of us have ever missed a meal? Very seldom, right? We're on schedule. We're on schedule to eat, right, on a regular basis, right? More than my necessary food. I've esteemed the words of this mouth more than my necessary food. So do you have time for personal devotion to read God's word each day? I've esteemed His word more than my necessary food. Alright, I got a time constraint. I don't have enough time. One thing I've learned about fasting, it frees you up. There's a lot of time involved in meal preparation and cleaning the kitchen like I have to do and all the dishes and the cooking and all the labor that goes into that, right? Thank you, sir. When you're fasting, you have time for other things. Skip a meal. Hey, I don't have time to read your word. Hey, we'll skip breakfast. You don't have time. I can skip breakfast, right? Skip a lunch. One more? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So so and then the other thing you have to ask, how desperate is your situation? How desperate? What's it going to take for you to get into the work? Job was in affliction, wasn't he? Yes. You finally get to the place where the only thing, only thing that helps you get through this tough time is the word of God. Spending time with God's word and the Lord says, finally, I got your attention. You've been going backwards. You've been backsliding. You haven't had time to go to church. You've been You've been camping all summer. You've been coming up with excuses. Now if you attend a church that doesn't teach the word, same thing. Just because you go to church doesn't mean you're being ministered to spiritually. You can go to churches to sing, fellowship, pray, write checks, do good deeds. It can become a social club. I'm with my friends and you can go away from there driving home not having heard from God, not having heard the Lord speak to you through his word. Right? Churches know that if you feed them, they will come. Feed them physically. Potlucks draw a lot of people. Picnics with a lot of food draw a lot of people. We probably couldn't even get here tonight unless Vicky provided the food. Right? No. I'm just kidding. Would you come without the food? Amen. Yeah. I know you guys would. You guys would. But it's it's well known that the prayer meeting is the least attended service at churches. You know? Bible studies like this, look at how many people are here. Right? Now what if I had a beer and poker night and cigar night? What kind men would come? What kind of people would come? What if we had all kinds of little groups, meetings, programs and stuff and kept the word of God to a minimum, so that people like it. Church growth movement tells us pastors, the more of the Bible you teach, the smaller your church will be. So they watered it way down, they quit teaching. They said verse by verse teaching is death to a church. Well, I disagree because my focus is the remnant. My focus is that you're healthy because you're the true church. The professing church, that's apostasy. It's an apostate church. Falling away from the truth is what the word apostasy means. All right. So I could preach a whole sermon on that. I would. All right. Who's next? Matthew four:four. Thank you, Rob. And who's saying that? Jesus. So look at that. Man shall not live by bread alone. What's that mean? Your physical, the physical part, right? Your physical demands, I steamed his word more than my necessary food. We have needs, physical cravings, physical desires. But so too we have spiritual needs, spiritual desires, spiritual craving, right? As the deer pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God. There is a spiritual thirst, a hunger. Verse 20 of Romans eight, All creation was subject under vanity and that by reason of him who subjected the same in hope. God made you and I with a God shaped hole, a God shaped desire, a God shaped vacuum that only he can fill, right? And we need to feed our spirit which is getting to know God through the study of His word. As we get to know Him, spend time with Him, there's a contentment that comes over us, right? Thank you. Psalm nineteen:seven through 10. Just a second there, buddy. Jerry Springer here. Psalm nineteen:seven through 10, The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right. Rejoicing the heart, rejoicing the heart. The commandments of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Isn't that sweet? Isn't that great? The unsearchable riches of Christ. And we have we can mind it right here. Right here. God's given us his word, his holy word. Alright. Psalm one nineteen seventy two. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. There we go. What value do you place upon the word of God? 119.97. Oh, how I love your law. It is my meditation all the day. Praise the Lord. So you can pray without ceasing and you can meditate on God's word all day even though you're working and you think about other things, you're able to multitask in that the word of God is there. You're thinking about the word of God. Alright. Psalm one hundred nineteen one zero one through one zero three. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. I have not departed from your laws for you yourselves have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth. Amen. Psalm 1nineteen 11 is that one? Okay. Your statutes your statutes are my inheritance forever. They are the joy of my heart. So where where would we be as Christians without God's word? You What would happen in the dark ages? You know what the dark ages are? The dark ages were a time where in 03/13 Constantine nationalized the church. So the first two centuries the church was growing exponentially and the word of God was plentiful. The received text, the Byzantine text, the Texas Receptus was going out and everybody, all these small churches, everybody had the word of God. Today, have over 5,000 portions of manuscript for that family of manuscript which is called the Texas Receptus, the received text by the early church. When Constantine institutionalized the church, the church went Catholic. And the unbelievers began to join the church when he nationalized it. So the church was filled with a lot of unbelievers at the helm and they began to starve off the people who spoke Koine Greek, the Bible is written in Koine Greek, began to starve them of the word of God. And so they began to keep the word of God from the people and then you see the papacy, you see Roman Catholic church teaching in Latin which was the educated people's language, the poor people, the common language that the bible was written in wasn't allowed to reach the people. There's a group of people called the Walden that had portions of the scriptures and they were attacked. They would the governmental church at that time send armies to grab Bibles and keep people from having Bibles during that time. So it's called the Dark Ages. And Jerome was commissioned by the Catholic church to make the Latin Vulgate and that particular the Latin Vulgate emanated from the text Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus which were two manuscripts that were found much later but they were unused. They were unused and so too with the Jerome's Latin Vulgate. So what happened was is guys like Erasmus began to translate the Texas Receptus, the Byzantine text, the Byzantine era began to translate it in other languages. And you had Tyndale, Zwingli and Martin Luther comes along. So you had what's called the Reformation. The Reformation was driven by enlightenment, driven by information, driven by education. So now had like Tyndale is going to die because he's translating and you're starting to see the Bible in Europe be translated into French, be translated into English, the sixteen eleven King James, be translated into German for Luther Zwingli in Switzerland and all. So these men of God came along and they began to get the Bible back into the hands of the people, the common people and the common people's languages and you had the reformation, had and doctrinally, you had a swing toward biblical doctrine that salvation is by grace through faith alone. In the dark ages, you were able to watch those in charge, charge people for indulgences, charge people and make a racket out of praying people out of purgatory, which is a false doctrine. But the people didn't have the Bible, they didn't have the means of understanding the truth. So spin it forward to the time we're living in and many of us were raised in Catholic churches and in the Catholic churches, we weren't taught the word of God. We were taught prayers, but not the word of God. So you'd go to mass, you'd go to service on Sunday. It's a whole religious experience and you follow these rules and stuff. I made my first communion but I didn't know Jesus. I didn't know Jesus. And so what happens is many of the Catholics as they began to grow up, they began to be invited to churches that teach the Bible. And when they come into a Calvary Chapel and they're hearing the Bible taught, they've never heard that before. For the first time in their life, the Bible is being taught in a simplistic way, a simple, easy way that they can understand it like John Chapter three or whatever. And all of a sudden they're born again, all of a sudden the light bulb goes on, all of a sudden they're at every Bible study because they spent years attending churches that told them this is what the Pope says, this is what the priest says, this is what you need to do. But they themselves were never taken through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation to study the word of God for themselves. So that's how we came out of what's known as the dark ages was the reformation where the word of God came into the hands of the common people. Then you had the evangelistic era, you had the Wesley brothers and all the different groups of people in Europe and England that began to get the word of God from a missionary standpoint, sending the word of God around the world. And so now today, the pastors for some reason don't want to teach the word of God. Why is that? Why won't they teach the word of God? I believe it's because the people don't want it. They've done their surveys and the people don't want to be convicted. They don't want to be held accountable by the word of God. So we take the church and we make it a place where it's a social club. And that's part of the apostasy, the immorality that's taken place in the church. We took prayer in the Bible out of schools. So now you wanna force the kids into a different gender, grooming at schools where it used to be they'd have the word of God in prayer as a foundation no matter if they're a believer or an unbeliever. They have a foundation of a Judeo Christian ethic that this country was built upon. So he's called by thy name. Verse 17, I sat not in the assembly of the mockers nor rejoice. I sat alone because of thy hand for thou has filled me with indignation. All I have is trouble, trouble everywhere he's saying. And he was never married. He separated himself from the worldly people and now he's fainting. He's fainting under the pressure. Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will thou be altogether unto me a liar, a liar and like waters that fail? So God, you know, you made promises to me. Where are you? Lord, why aren't you providing? Lord, why aren't you protecting me? Lord, why aren't you prospering me? Why am I a drag? Why am I so hated by the nation? All I'm doing is telling them the word that you give me to tell them. Doesn't seem to be working for me. And so I told you guys on Sunday in regard to suffering, if we suffer with him, going be glorified together. What I like to do when I start to get in this mode of thinking, I like to remind Kathy and I and you, how is Jesus treated? When you think you're mistreated, alright, how is Jesus treated? How is the Apostle Paul treated? How are the disciples treated? Alright, you're in good company. You're in good company. You're a target. That's why you're being treated, mistreated because you don't compromise the word of God. If you want to be liked, if you want to be a politician, tell the people what they want to hear and you'll be liked. You'll have a huge following of people But if you tell them the truth, you're going be a marked man, a marked woman. And think about it. Think about people that you know and you're like, hold back, hold back, hold back. If I tell them this, they're going to hate me. They're going be angry at me. And so he's saying, I sat not in the assembly of the mockers. Jesus removed the mockers before he raised Jairus' daughter, right? Set the mockers out of the room. This is similar in language to Psalm one. Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands the way of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and his law does he meditate day and night. He shall be like a tree that's planted by the river that brings forth its fruit in its season. Its leaf shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. But the ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. So he's saying blessed, how happy is the man that doesn't give in to the globalist, that doesn't give in to the mainstream media news. We're in an information war. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. There's censorship. We're watching the censorship try to stop thought, trying to stop people from thinking, stopping people to discern right from wrong. They do not want the word of God to expose their lies. So they're angry when truth gets out there. The truth sets people free. So they want to control the narrative, control information, return to the dark ages where they can control all information and keep the light, keep the word of God away. He says, therefore, thus saith the Lord, if thou return, then will I bring thee again and thou shalt stand before me. So Jeremiah, you've got a decision to make, you need to return, you want to be my servant. And if thou take forth the precious from the vial, thou shall be as my mouth, let them return unto thee, but return not unto them. That's where we're living. That's where we're living. We're living uncompromisingly. We will not mix the vial with the true. We discern, we sift through all the lies, we reject the lies, we have what's called a biblical world view, very few pastors and churches, people think biblically anymore. We take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. He is the one in authority. It's not somebody's feeling, somebody's dream or vision or pastor's opinion or Christian's opinion. We bring every thought, every idea back to the word of God and we say, where does it say that in the word of God? Something so simple like a boy or a girl, Genesis one twenty eight, in the beginning made them male and female. End of story, end of discussion, it's over. He made them male and female. And if you want to go beyond that, you go to science, you go to chromosomes, you go it can be proven outside of the word of God, but we don't need to. I mean, it's ludicrous. It's ludicrous. Look at the plumbing. He made them different. He didn't make a mistake. So it should be so elementary. Are they getting away with this lie? How are they possibly forcing this on everybody for entire month of forcing it in the stores with the brainwashing of these poor children, certainly adults wouldn't buy into this, right? But they're really going after the kids and trying to confuse the kids and it just makes me so sad to watch the precious become the vial. And so don't give in, do not compromise, be bold, don't fear their faces, speak the truth. No matter what happens, speak the truth. Filter everything through the word of God and I'll make thee under this people a fortified bronze wall and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee. For I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord. And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. So turn to chapter one. Jeremiah one. Yeah. Jeremiah didn't want this gig to begin with. Right? But in verse eighteen and nineteen of chapter one, the Lord gave him his calling and he needs to be reminded of that calling. He says, For behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and bronze walls against the whole land and against the Kings of Judah and against the princes and against the priests and against the people of the land. Can you imagine who you and I are gonna come up against? Jeremiah is coming up against kings. Who in their right mind says that Christianity is to separate itself from politics, from power. What's he talking about here? Kings, Manasseh, Hezekiah, Zedekiah, the king of Babylon. You as a Christian are coming up against these kings. You're coming against these authorities because you represent the king of kings, the lord of lords. Right? John the Baptist lost his head because he came up against king Herod, right? He said, hey, taking your brother Philip's wife as your wife is against the law. And he was put in prison. The early church didn't care about these men trying to use their positions to intimidate them. They said we're going to obey God rather than men. When push comes to shove, when they're violating God's word, we stand with God's word. Period. End of story. When we know they're lying, we stand up and tell the truth. We don't give in to the lies. We don't give in to mandates. We don't give in to fear. 20% of the people I just read this week, only 20% of people in America can think critically. 80% of the people out there are going to follow whatever the government says, whatever CNN, whatever NBC, whatever the media says, they're going to follow it. They're to believe it. I'm believing as the media outlets are hitting these people's heads today with their propaganda in regard to their pets, that people are already considering getting rid of FIFE, know, Fido. You You you would think that'd be the line that they crossed, that their eyes awaken. But they want to be good citizens, you know? I'm going to wear my mask too, you know? I'm going to wear a double mask when I'm driving. It's like it's mind boggling. Love your neighbor. You still have three dogs. You have four dogs. Pretty soon it's going be children. You got to make kids. One child policy. Pretty soon it's going to be you need to sterilize your children so they can't have kids. That's what they're doing with all the food and everything. So I've made this day a fortified city, an iron pillar, bronze walls against the whole land and against the kings of Judah, against the prince, against the priests, against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee and they shall not prevail against thee for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee. So God's calling is God's enabling. It doesn't mean it's going to be easy. Doesn't mean you're not going to get whipped with rods and as Paul lays out his whole list, Jeremiah is not real happy about it. Maybe his vision was he would be the Teflon man that nothing would touch him, but they're going to throw him into a dungeon. They're going to mistreat him. They're going to give him the bread of affliction. It's not going to be easy for him. It'd be very difficult, but the Lord says, you're invincible till the time I say it's time for you to come home. They can try to kill you, but they won't be able to. So you remember the different times they tried to kill Jesus and he just walked right through the crowd and walked away because it wasn't his time, right? It wasn't his time. So you and I are going to be enabled, protected, provided for all those things until a point in time that the Lord says, all right, now it's time for you to come home, right? So boldness is the key. Be bold with the truth. Be bold, speak the truth and love. Don't cower in fear. We're living in a time of great, great, great deception and sometimes you got to pick your fights and you say, you know what, this person is unworthy of a response. I am not going to waste my time with them. I am going to walk away. And then other people, it's a divine appointment. The Lord brings them into your life. They are now down. They're finally open. God's prepared their heart and you have the word of God. You have the word of God. You've got the word of God. They need Jesus and Jesus will come into their life. All right. Father, we thank you for the opportunities, many doors, the open door that no man can shut that you give us. Thank you for the lesson of Jeremiah and others that have gone before us. And Lord, we see that we need to be faithful unto you. We need to be faithful to speak, to proclaim, to fulfill the great commission, to go and make disciples. And Lord, you've given us the words. You've given us your holy word and that's what we're to go with in the power of your holy spirit. And we thank you, that no matter what comes against us, Lord, that we only need you. With you, we have a majority. We just need you to pour upon us your favor, your unmerited favor, your grace is sufficient for us, for your strengths perfected in weakness. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
