Jeremiah 14
Pastor Rick Beaudry unpacks Jeremiah 14, showing how God may use sword, famine and pestilence to discipline a backslidden people who have rejected the water of life. He contrasts true prophets like Jeremiah and Micaiah with lying prophets and seducing spirits that promise peace where there is none, and warns that God may refuse the prayers of an unrepentant people. He challenges the church to refuse compromise, hold fast to Scripture, live holy lives and for husbands to honor their wives so prayers are not hindered. He urges steadfast witness, dependence on Jesus as the only Savior and hope in Christ's return even as prophecy unfolds around us.
