2026 Celebrating 250 years of America. Is it a Christian Nation?
Vickie Wiederrich hosts from a Montana log cabin with guest Mark Dinsmore, marking America’s 250th anniversary as they explore a biblical perspective on the nation’s history and future. They contrast the Mayflower Compact, a religious covenant for a specific colony, with the secular Constitution, and examine founders’ beliefs, noting many were deists or theologically unorthodox. Mark critiques American exceptionalism and Christian nationalism, arguing the kingdom of God is not of this world and that the apostles did not pursue political power or armed revolt, so our civic engagement must be shaped by Scripture. The conversation urges us to be salt and light, to study prophecy and Scripture amid cultural decline, and teases the next installment asking whether Christian patriots are ready to die.
