And at this time, I would like to introduce our guest speaker, Kevin Lee. And I've known him when I first got up here, we started going to his church. It used to be a Calvary Chapel Port Orchard, now it's known as Calvary Port Orchard. And I think he's gone on to a different mission now. He turned over the reins to somebody else and he's got his own ministry now that I guess he's gonna share with us. So if you please welcome Kevin Lee. Thank you. Thank you, man. Yeah. It was it was a blessing to know James and Sally for decades. We knew him, you know, decades ago. Juanita, my wife, Juanita is here. She's always the helpmate in services and to I Rick called yesterday. Rick has been a friend for decades as well, sweet friend through thick and thin, and and he called yesterday and for a while I played him when he sits there and he got around to the fact that now, you know, know about tomorrow. Oh, tomorrow. You know, I acted like I had forgotten that you'd set it up. And so then, and then we we had a good talk yesterday. And then I had the joy of just meeting at Stebi, right, you said? And she said, I read your bio and were you ever in Vallejo? Vallejo, California. And and I that's where I got saved. And I got discipled in a ministry called the Bridge Ministry. And so Debbie came up and she goes, I I read your bio. You in Vallejo? Yeah. That's where I got saved. She goes, and you went to a coffee house ministry? I said, yeah. And then she said, which one? I go, the one that you probably know. And it was called the Bridge Ministry. And she goes, Jonathan, Carol Gilbert. And I go, oh, I've been looking for their phone number and a way of contacting them for decades. And so nobody lets Debbie leave until she gives me the phone number so I can call that precious couple. So and as James said, you know, God raised up a good assistant pastor to take over, which I still have some, left in me to be able to do it, but God just really has for years given me a passion to be able to educate people on how we can trust the Bible. Now we all everybody here trusts your Bible? But but let me ask you a question. If you were to pretend you're young, you're going to college, or some of you people that are young going to college, and a professor goes, oh, you're a Christian. So you believe in the bible? Yeah, I do. I believe in the bible. Well, so you believe in the flood of Noah. Yeah. The global flood of Noah. Yeah. Which said that the whole world was flooded to '22 and a half feet at the highest place. 22 you you believe that? Yes. I believe it. How did that happen? Where did the water come from? I don't know. You can sit in the back of the room and be quiet the rest of this, you know, the rest of the time. Or how does it rain for forty days over the whole world? Do you realize that's impossible by the normal hydrological cycle? Do you realize that that can't happen? I know, but it happened. It's in the Bible, I believe it. It's it's gotta be true and that's all I need. Okay, sit in the back of the room and be quiet as we learn about evolution and how it really happened. There is an answer to those two questions and then how many of you were here last week? Okay. So Mark Densmore, he taught you about the height of weight theory. And, I I became a believer, Vallejo, California. And I I went from a total pagan, total evolutionary pagan, being a sailor, what sailors do, just and and I just radically got saved. And I radically became aware. The holy spirit came on me and this is the truth. By God, I'm going to nuclear power school with the Navy, I'm learning thermodynamics, you transfer fluid flow, etcetera. I know it can't rain for forty days and forty nights without some kind of miracle. I know you need a lot of water to flood the world to the top of the Himalayas. I know it's true, but how? And I struggled for fifteen years. I I and I told a friend of mine, if you ever you ever hear how it happened, I wanna know. I know it's true, but I wanna know. And so a friend of mine gave me the fifth edition of this book. It's a lot smaller from Doctor. Walt Brown And called In the Beginning, Compelling Evidence for Creation in the Flood. And that changed, you know, that added a huge huge now I know how it happened. Go ahead professor, ask me how it came to how the whole world got flooded. Go ahead and ask me how, and people say now, people that know me, they go and somebody asks me a question about the flood, they walk away because they go, okay, you're in it for an hour or two. Because there is an answer. A scientific biblical answer is based on the bible. And so I'm not leaving the pulpit and teaching the bible to go to a different ministry called hhptuniversity.com. Hydroplate Theory University dot com. And I have, for anybody that's interested, have a card here. And the purpose for this is to get it to your friends and neighbors that say, I'm not believing in the Bible because that's that myth about the flood. And if it's a myth about the flood, maybe it's a myth about Jesus. Maybe it's a myth about everything else in the bible. And a lot of people like I've talked to thousands of people over the fifty two years of being a Christian, and so many people reject it because I I you know, the enemy gets a chink in their armor to think that this bible isn't inspired by God. And so that's what I'm dedicating my life to now is teaching the ninth edition of doctor Walt Brown's, how to play theory, so that anybody that wants to raise their kids to be able to know and have an answer for the hope that's within them, they can go there. The other creationist organizations teach a theory that is not biblical and not scientific. It's based on miracles, and it's based on starting with what the evolutionists say and trying to speed it up and turning it into a miracle, which is not gonna convince your professor or a person in school. So anybody here that's been doubting the Bible, there's no reason, there is so much evidence of and Mark shared it with all of you last week, so I'm not gonna, belabor that because we are gonna get into the word of God. So this week, let's pray. Let's pray as we get into study God's word. Father, we thank you for your word. We thank you how miraculous it is that it testifies of the divine origin, Lord, that you moved mighty men, prophets and apostles. You moved their pens to write to us the truth of what you have done to try and rescue man from sin. That you gave us free will in the garden and Adam and Eve brought sin into the world because of the deception of Satan who has been trying to deceive souls ever since. And we just thank you God that you so loved us, you sent Jesus that we could have that we could see you, that we could hear the very words of God walking among us. And for the very few people that over the years have been part of that narrow way that has come to saving faith in your son Jesus, will have has given us everlasting life. We so rejoice and we grieve for those that are still being deceived and going the wide way that leads to destruction. And we pray for I pray for every soul in this room that Lord you would you would help us to double down on realizing that this is not our world and that you have left us here as your ambassadors to try and help people to open their eyes to the truth and open their ears to hear and to listen and to fall on their knees and worship you as the creator of their souls and the one who came to save them. And we thank you in Jesus name. Amen. Let's please turn to Psalm chapter two. And the title today is what should they, the disciples of Jesus, have said in the many times that Jesus told them he's gonna go to the cross? What what should they have said? What should they have done? And and then equate and also bring it to us. What what what should we do with what we know? Did the did the disciples get told by Jesus he was gonna go into Jerusalem, be crucified and betrayed into the hands of sinners, spit upon and killed, and raised again on the third day? Did did Jesus tell them that? Did they act like they believe that? Nope. In fact in fact, we're gonna look at how few, two two ladies actually, of all the disciples, we're we're gonna see as we get to the end. So what about us? Has Jesus told us about what is left to happen? Jesus was prop he was prophesying what's gonna happen to him. And has God inspired the apostles and the prophets to tell us what's gonna happen in our future? How how many of you think we're in the last days? Yep. And every day we get closer to the last of the last days. And and the bible speaks a lot about the last days. We know what it says. But how how many of your friends and you and me, even at times, Lord, why am I not doing and acting like I really think what I know is happening is happening? You ever struggle with that? You know, we have this idea that we're living in in this world and we have the world things that we're thinking about and and the enjoyments of the world, the pleasures of the world, the things that we can just devote our times to, our our, you know, our hobbies and everything else. Compare all of that. Are we are we submitting all of that to the Lord Jesus? You know, God wants us to be able to live our lives, but God, I want to also be used of you. I don't wanna be like a disciple that hears what's happening and what's about to happen and then ignore it. Like, you know, you didn't really say that. You didn't really tell us that you're gonna go to the cross. We got plans for you, Jesus. And so that that's what we're gonna do is try and tie it down to us. But let's stand up and read Psalm one, Psalm chapter two verse one through 12. I hear that's what you guys do as you do a reading. Right? And so, and we're gonna read this now, then we're gonna see what the disciples were thinking while while they would have known this. And then we're gonna be thinking about how would they think about it during the days of Jesus. And then we're going to go to some other prophecies, and then we're gonna look at us and how we read it. How how how could we possibly be reading it differently than what it's intended? So why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, let us break their bonds and pieces and cast away their cords from us. He who sits in the heaven shall laugh. The Lord shall hold them. The Lord will hold them in derision, then he shall speak to them in his wrath and distress them in his deep displeasure. Yet I have set my king on my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree. The Lord has said to me, you are my son today I have begotten you. Ask of me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel. Now therefore be wise. Be wise, o kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the sun, lest he be angry and you perish in the way when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in him. Put your name in there. I hope how many people trust in Jesus as your savior? Notice anybody who doesn't have their hands up and don't let them leave until you beat them, until you until you say, you need to get some wisdom. That's the attitude we should have towards people. I mean, why you you don't put your what are you putting your trust in? By the way, you can sit down. The whole world is trusting in something. There's only one thing to trust. It's the eternal God who so loved as his son Jesus. To trust in Jesus to save us from sin. Every other hope, every other trust is a dead hope. So let's look at let let's we're gonna try and put ourselves into the disciples mindset. Are the disciples before Jesus comes, are they happy campers? No. They're oppressed by the Romans. They're Jews. They know they're back in the land. They've got corrupt leaders. They've got the Romans telling them what to do. Recently, a Roman leader had just slaughtered tens of thousands of them that were coming for Passover. They they they are like, why is God, why can't we ever be the promised people that really get the promises of God? You promised us, Daniel prophesied that the messiah's got four hundred and eighty three years after the commandment to go and restore and build Jerusalem. The messiah's gonna come. When is he coming? We and we know it's about four hundred and eighty three years. The prophecies are coming true. We're looking. We're looking. We're looking. That's why the Qumran community is out there studying the scriptures. They wanted to know. Do we feel the same way we wanna study the scriptures? Says, wow. It it's looking like the last days are coming. It it looks like this prophecy of two thousand years that nobody gonna be able to buy or sell without a man deciding whether there can be in the financial system, and we see a a global call for global government, global currency. And we go, woah. We're getting close. We're we're getting close to the prophets that have been for two thousand years mocked for saying such a thing. How can a man control the buying and selling of the world? I don't wanna believe in your bible is full of mess. Wait until around the 2020 time frame and and now they're talking openly about it. This is inspired by a holy God who knows everything. The disciples are bummed. They want the Messiah. But what do they want the Messiah to do? They want the Messiah to get rid of the Romans, to let them have their time, to let them be in the temple without any interference, to let them rule their land without letting Gentiles have to mess with them. And so Psalm two, we're gonna read it like a disciple thinks of Jesus's day. Why do the nations, Romans, rage, and the people, Gentiles, plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed. That they're ruling against us chosen people of God, messing with us, saying, let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us. Get get rid of their Jewish Yahweh God. And they put in fact, they put other you know, some of them put things in the temple that just just infuriated the Jews because it was idolatry. We're gonna get rid of this god that tells us what to do. Are we living in a day when that's when people wanna do? How many of you have ever, ever in your life heard on any media of of the national news media? Anytime where Jesus has talked about devotionally, his loss, his way, what he did to come and save. Has our society effectively excommunicated Jesus? And that's the brainwashing in the school too. What kid is what child in this country is gonna go to a go to a public school and ever hear the 10 commandments taught as if this is a god who created us and gave us good laws. Or or to say something devotionally about how Jesus really came into the world, and he did really die on a cross. And a lot of people say he didn't raise from the grave, but if he didn't raise from the grave, there would be no Christianity. There is Christianity. So he had to have raised raised from the grave, and everybody has tried to study, you know, to prove that the resurrection was false has come to realize that it was had to be true. It's it's gone. We're living in a time where this is also being fulfilled, but it was also in their minds, that's what they're doing. They're trying to snuff it out. They're trying to snuff us. They're trying to control us. They're trying to manipulate us and they corrupt our leadership. They corrupt our our pastors of the time. The priests to make them spout off a bunch of stuff and go along with the world system. And he who sits in the heavens shall laugh. The Lord shall hold them in derision. And and so they're thinking when the Messiah comes, he's gonna clean clock. It's gonna be over with. Then he shall speak to them in his wrath and distress them in his deep displeasure. Yet I have and I, the father, have set my king Jesus on my holy hill, Zion. Jesus, the Messiah is gonna come and he's gonna sit here in Jerusalem and he's gonna go into Jerusalem and he's gonna tell the Romans what for and get rid of them. That's that's what they're thinking. I will declare the decree the Lord has said to me, you are my son. Today, I have begotten you. So the prophecy is the Messiah is gonna be called the son of God. What did they kill Jesus for? Say because he said he was the son of God. And their own scriptures prophesied the Messiah is gonna be the son of God. But did the religious leaders want the the Jesus of the prophecies? No. They wanted just a man. Today, I've talked to Jewish people. How do you know how are you gonna know who your messiah is? He will be just a man. He won't be a God man. That's what Gershon Solomon said in 1999 when I was in Jerusalem, the head of the temple Mount Faithful, he'll be just a man and he'll give us a defensible borders. He'll stop the people that are wanting to kill us. He'll give us defensible borders and give us a temple. And I said, well, according to a Hebrew prophet, that's gonna be the anti messiah. And he goes, cannot be anti messiah. Can't be anti messiah. No anti messiah can be and try help us to have the most holy temple. What does he want? He wants earthly religion. He didn't care about needing his soul to be saved, and that's what people are today. And so we had further conversation that was interesting. He he felt like the temple would be built before he felt like God had told him the temple would be built before he died. He died recently. And he's he rejected the messiah because he wanted just a man. He didn't want the God man. But right here, God's saying, I'm sending the son of God. They they read the scriptures. They don't believe him. Wait. Can we read the scriptures and not believe him? We could if we wanted to, but we shouldn't. This the mission. And now therefore, oh, wise, ask me and I will give the nations where was I? Verse seven, I begotten you. Ask me and I will give you the nations of your inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, dash them to pieces. Now therefore be wise, O kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Fear the Lord, and rejoicing and trembling. Kiss the son, lest he be angry and you perish in the way when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in him. And again, let's turn to Psalm 20 two:one. I hope you've all put your trust in him. His wrath has been put off because he's not done yet with history, but a lot of this is still yet to be fulfilled as we all know now. I could go with dozens of other prophecies in the Old Testament about promising how the Messiah is gonna come and rule. He's gonna come and conquer. He's gonna come and wipe out the enemies of Israel. And so the disciples would have known all those. The disciples would have known Psalm two. They they would have known the Messiah's coming soon and thinking this is gonna happen. But there's another set of prophecies that they also would have known. They would have known Psalm 22. And they would have known Isaiah 53. So the disciples have, okay, here's these verses, he's gonna come and deal with everything. But there's these other ones that are talking about how he's gonna suffer, be stricken of God and afflicted on our behalf. How do we put that together? I don't wanna listen to this. I wanna listen to him conquering. We're gonna see that, and we're gonna see it in the six times Jesus told him that he was gonna be betrayed into the hands of sinners and crucified, And how the and what the response was in each time. So and and actually think about this. Did John was John the Baptist a prophet of God? Yeah. Great prophet. And did he believe Psalm two? I bet you he knew Psalm two. He he studied the Qumran, you know, he wouldn't know in Psalm two. Does he believe has he been told by God that Jesus is the Messiah? Yes. Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Follow him. I must decrease. He must increase. See, he was before me even though I'm older than him. He was before me because he was in the creation. But what is he thinking Jesus is gonna do? I'm convinced that John the Baptist is thinking he's gonna come clean-cut. Why? Because when he gets arrested and he's realizing, I'm in trouble. He sends his disciples and go, Jesus, are you really the one? Because you better hurry up because I think I'm in trouble. If you're really the one, there's not much time. And then Jesus gives the disciples to take back to John the Baptist. Here's all the prophecies that are being fulfilled. Go tell him. Yes. And blessed is he who doesn't doubt. So in Psalm 22 is a messianic prophecy associated with Jesus' suffering. Where he says, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me? And from the words of my groaning. Now, if they I I again think the disciples knew this chapter. So when they're hearing the few disciples that were there at the cross and they hear Jesus saying, my God, my God, why hast forsaken me? Are they any doubt that this is applying to him? No doubt. And then they were, why why is Jesus saying, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? You ever thought about that? Because at that moment, this is what this is what I think a lot of people think, the same thing. At that moment, all the sins of the world, your yours and mine, were being put on Jesus. It says in John chapter three that nobody is in heaven, but he who came down from heaven who is in heaven. So Jesus, the whole time he was here, he was still in the dimension of heaven with God the father. He he was in perfect communion with with God in heaven. But on that at the moment, don't do that. At the moment, our sins are being truly placed on him, God turns away. He loses he he loses the fellowship with the father in the same way we all deserve. And he did that so that we wouldn't get what we deserve. Do you appreciate that? That you'll never be separated from God? And that Jesus experienced that darkness for us for a time. I mean, how did that work? How did experience an eternity's worth of separation from the Father on our behalf because that's what we deserve and then yet come back into the fellowship of the father? I don't know. But that's what he said. He experienced it for our sins. Go to verse six, but I am a worm and no man a reproach of men and despised by the people. All those who see me ridicule me. They shoot out the lip. They shake the head saying he trusted in the Lord. Let him rescue him. Let him deliver him since he delights in him. And the disciples, when they're seeing the exact thing happening on that day Jesus being crucified, they're going a thousand years into the past to King David and go to King David prophesied this exact day. Why does god why does Jesus call himself a worm? I mean, where's his self esteem? You You know what that word worm is? It's it's a word. The word is tola. It really means it's it's a a bug that makes crimson that was used in priestly garments. You can verify this by doing a search. Where where where does this tola come from? And here's an AI answer to the question. First, I'll read Strong's. It says, tola, the crimson grub, like like a caterpillar thing, but used only in this connection of the color from it, the clothes dyed their wet dyed crimson. And then the symbolic meanings in scripture from AI about this tola is in this messianic prophecy, Jesus declares, but I am a worm and no man. The life cycle of the female kermes, worm, mirrors the crucifixion. To lay her eggs, she climbs on an oak tree and permanently cements her body to the wood, creating a hard shell. As the young hatch, they feed on her living body. She secretes a bright crimson fluid. A crimson fluid that permanently stains both the wood of the tree and her offspring. On the fourth the fourth day, her dead body turns into white, wool like flax that falls to the ground like snow. Yeah. Just think about that. When I went to Israel the first time, I tried to talk to, you know, my tour guide and everything, know, where's what about a tola? Because I had heard this years and years earlier. You know, I wanna see a tola. I wanna get a tola. But he didn't know anything about it. But this is true, this is a fact. And so I am a worm about to shed my blood, to cover my offspring, be what they can take in. Unless you eat my On the night that he's being betrayed, take, eat, this is my blood of the new covenant. Though our sins be as scarlet, they shall be made white as snow. So the disciples would've known that. They would've known what a tola was. They were using it in the day to make crimson. I'm a I'm a worm. I'm a tola giving my life, putting myself on a tree to be crucified, to see the water in the blood coming out when the spear goes in the side. All those who see me ridicule me. They shoot out the lip. He trusts in the Lord, let him rescue him. Let let him let the God deliver him since he delights in him. Well, what if he what if God dead? We're all gone. We're all dead. Mankind would have killed them killed the world off by now. If Jesus comes down from the cross, when they say, you've rescued others, rescue yourself. And let's say, Jesus, just think about when if you're a super hero and you're letting people kill you, and you know that at any second you could just you could just do something and just and, you know, have the nails just fly out of your hands and get the two guys that said it, and then have your nail come out of your feet and get the third guy that said it, and say, yeah, you wanna see what I can do? He could have done that, except if he does that, he abandoned the whole mission to save us. And then and we have to think about that when Jesus says, pick up your cross and follow me. Because he was willing to die for you and me, for the sake of us being able to be made while you snow. And then he says, well, if you're wanting to be my disciple, you have to pick up your cross. You have to not put your trust in the things of the world. People are gonna shoot their lip out at you. I mean, it's gonna be so bad they're gonna give you a bunch of thumb downs on your Facebook or Instagram or tell they're they're gonna make you feel bad about yourself because you're one of those crazy Christians that loves Jesus. Don't you know the whole world hates your Jesus? Why don't you join us and party? Let's go out and get drunk. Let's get high. Let's sex, drug, and rock and roll. Why do you have to be so weird? Because I love you, and you don't know what you're doing. Going to verse 14, I am poured out like water and my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It has melted within me. My strength is dried up like a posture to my tongue clings to my jaws. You have brought me to the dust of death. Exactly what's happening to Jesus. He is so dehydrated, he can't even talk. When he says, Eli, Eli, they're saying, hey, are we sure did he say Isaiah? Is he calling out to Elijah to come? Is that what he's saying? Because we can't tell because he's so dehydrated. Give him something to drink so we can understand. For the dogs that surrounded me, the congregation of the wicked has enclosed me. They pierce my hands and my feet. I count all my bones. They look and stare at me. They divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. Again, put yourself at the cross with any disciple that was there, seeing the Romans over on the side casting lots to take his garments. Casting laws for the priestly garment because Jesus had a priestly garment. He became he is our high priest. We don't have any priests on earth. He had a priestly garment. Oh, we can't rip this one. It's a it's all woven to be a single piece that only the priest would wear that garment. Let's cast lots for it so we don't have to rip it apart. And the disciples would have been seeing this. The disciples seeing that, what should they have thought about all the prophecies of the past? They shouldn't have been hiding in a room. They should have been listening to what Jesus said. I'm gonna be raising in three days. They should have been saying, let's set our clock. It's gonna be three days. And he's gonna raise from the grave, and we've got a future into the future. But they're just thinking here and now. They're just thinking of their country, and now they're going to come after us. They're going to kill us. What are we going to do? Everybody dies. You only have to worry about dying if you don't have a hope for eternity. And you don't have a hope of eternity if you haven't been forgiven of sin. And Jesus just did that. And he told them he was going to do that. But they didn't believe. Isaiah 53. And of course, this is I mean, the Jews know this is so much about Jesus that they don't even read it anymore in their synagogues because they don't want their people to know their own prophets wrote about Jesus so clearly. He, the Messiah, is despised and rejected of men, by men. A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid as it were our faces from him. He was despised and we did not esteem him. Surely he has borne our griefs, which Matthew equates that verse to sicknesses, the healings that he did do for some people, and carried away our sorrows. Yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted, rejected by men. Again, the whole world rejects our Jesus. In our podcast, what I'm doing going through the ninth edition is doing podcasts of the different chapters of Walt Brown's book and really emphasizing evolutionist. When somebody says, I believe in science. I don't believe in religion. I believe in science. First of all, you can tell them, what did we find out about Mr. Science Fauci? He lied. He's a deceiver. Tried to kill millions of people. Did kill people. Should be in jail. And I believe in I don't believe in a god. Yes, you do. This is what I've been emphasizing. You there's no there's no atheist in the foxholes when missiles are coming in. And there's no atheist about the origins of the world. You either believe in the God who created the heavens and the earth, breathed them into existence in the Bible, or you believe in the God of time and chance. You don't believe in science. Science tells you that time and chance can't create life out of nothing. And it's been proven that chemicals don't become life. And so you're violating, in your mind, you're violating science because you believe in the God of time and chance. But my God, with time, enough millions and billions of years and just chance mutations over time, it's going to make life. So you believe in a God. And and then in one of the podcasts, it really stirred impact my my social media guy. He says, Kevin, don't even I don't don't even look at the comments because but it it's getting it's over 9,000 hits on comments on a short where where I said, you know, we all grew up being told by our parents, lied to by our parents, that there was a Santa Claus. And then we got older and we realized Santa Claus wasn't real. And right now, the whole world has been told that Darwin answered the questions of how we came about. And the whole world listens to him. But wake up, you believe in Santa Claus. You know, just like you get away from believing in Santa Claus, stop believing in the Darwin nonsense because it's a lie. It's a myth. It's fairy tale. Rejected by men. Yeah. Don't don't don't listen to what they said, Kevin. They probably thought I was a brick short of a full load or something. But isn't that the truth? We know that's the truth. But what's being taught in every school in America? A myth, fairy tales, because the world has rejected the God who created the heavens and the earth. The God who who dealt with sin once by whittling down to eight people because there was so much violence and corruption in the world. The thought and intents of man's hearts were evil continually. Are we getting there? I mean, people chasing people around in the streets with a mask on. Are you ready to die today? I mean, all this stuff that we're seeing in our culture today, we can see that it escalates because people are rejecting God. But verse three, verse five, but he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed. How long are we healed? Forever. Think about that. I'm healed forever for what? Spiritual healing. You know, some people turn that verse by his stripes. Oh, Jesus dying on the cross made it so we're healed from all diseases from now on. And I I said once I was teaching at Silverdale, and I I that was really the whole word faith, you know, blab it blab it, grab it, all that stuff. And and there were some people in the church that say, everybody's supposed to be healed. And so I I got up there and I said, I wanna confess to you. This is right when AIDS has come along. And I said, I wanna let you know I have a terminal illness. Nobody's been healed. It's it's a 100%, there's no chance. And everybody's looking at me like, I'm dying of old age. Anybody wanna pray for me? I mean, I guess you have to check your brain to think everybody's supposed to be healed. You know, pray for pray for Paul and just put his head back on. I mean, it's it's there's no the atonement was not for physical healing. Yeah. It's for spiritual healing. And how do we know that? It's not just Kevin saying that, it was in Peter. First Peter chapter two verse 24, Peter says this verse, that verse is about spiritual healing. All we, like sheep have gone astray, have turned everyone to his own way and the Lord has laid on him, Jesus, the iniquity of us all when Jesus said, my God, my God, why has you forsaken me? Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him. He was put he has put him to grief. When you made his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed. He's gonna see you in heaven with him. You're the you're the you were the ones that were on the tola saying, I want to eat of Jesus and have the crimson blood of Jesus save me and then have everlasting life. You're going to be his seed. Jesus said, for the joy set before him, in Hebrews chapter 12 verse two, for the joy set before him, he endured the cross. And what's the joy set before him? It's you. As if people are gonna be saved. They're gonna spend eternity with him. He shall see the labor of his soul and be satisfied by his knowledge. My righteous servant shall justify many because most are gonna go the way of the world and spend eternity separated from him. For he shall bear their iniquities, therefore I will divide him a portion with the grain and he shall divide the spoil with the strong because he poured out his soul under that. He was obedient to the father, even death on the cross. And he was numbered with the transgressors, and he bore the sin of many and made intercessions for transgressors. Can we give a thank you, Jesus, for saving my soul? Thank you, Jesus, for saving my soul. And let's turn to Matthew sixteen fifteen to see what the disciples said. Would the disciples have known Isaiah 53? Yes. And so Isaiah 53, he suffered and stricken of God and afflicted on our behalf. He's gonna make many justified by his suffering. He makes many justified. They they should have realized, woah. There must be there must be a conquering messiah. But before there's a conquering messiah, there's a suffering messiah. And the suffering messiah is dealing with the problem of all of humanity, which is sin, so that there can be a kingdom of Jesus coming where he reigns with people that are cleansed of sin. That's what they were supposed to know from the scriptures, but they didn't because they only cared about right now. I want these Romans gone, and I don't care if God has to snuff them all and send them to hell because we're the chosen people. So we're gonna look at the first of six times, very famous passage, where in Matthew sixteen fifteen, he said to them, but who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, you are the Christ, the son. What chapter is that? Psalm chapter two, the son of the living God. You are the prophesied son of the living God, conquering Messiah. Chapter two of Psalm. Setting up your throne in Jerusalem someday. Go to verse 20. Then he commanded his disciples that he should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ. Which would have seemed strange to me. Jesus, why can't we tell him? I mean, you're coming to deal with stuff, why can't we tell? And you know what I think the answer would have been? I think the answer is Jesus, because you don't get it. Because you're gonna tell people, Jesus here, he's gonna be getting rid of Romans any day now. And you tell nobody because you're not gonna get it until after the resurrection. When you really figure out, I came here to save souls of people. I came here to pay for the sins of the world. Don't tell anybody. From that time, Jesus began to show to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and the chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised the third day. Psalm 22, Isaiah 53. He's saying to them, I'm gonna go fulfill Psalm twenty two and fifty three. Remember Psalm 22 said, pierced his hands and his feet? That was written before crucifixion was even a method of death penalty to prove that it is divinely inspired by David wrote those words under inspiration and that's what they do to crucify people. I say that's gonna happen to me? I'm gonna be crucified, hands and feet pierced? But Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, Far be it from you, Lord. This shall not happen to you. We have plans for you, Jesus. And and he doesn't have the mind of God. Turn to Luke chapter two verse 25. Keep your finger here though in Matthew. What should what should Peter have said? I like to always think, you know, whenever things are happening in the bible, what should the person that was being disobedient to God, what should they have said? They should have said, well Jesus, the prophecy's the Messiah. That fits with the prophecy of the Messiah. So Lord, what do we do as we prepare for this? How do we prepare for you to be crucified? To justify the souls of many, to be stricken and smitten of God and afflicted on our behalf so that we could be made righteous? That's what they should have said. But he's saying, no, no, no, no. Well, he should have also said what Simeon said. We remember when Jesus is taken up to the Temple Mount on the eighth day for circumcision, or actually, whatever day it was. And behold, it might not have been circum anyway, Luke chapter two verse 25, and behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just in about waiting for the consolation of Israel. He he knows messiah's coming. He knows the prophets. He he I am waiting like we're waiting. We're we're waiting for the second coming. We're waiting for the rapture of the church. And the Holy Spirit was upon him. The Holy Spirit was telling him, you're gonna see it, and it shall be revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. So he came by the spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him according to the custom of the law, which was actually Mary doing a sacrifice for sin, which means Mary wasn't a perpetual I mean, she was not a sinless person because she was sacrificing on the thirtieth day. I think it was the thirtieth day. And took him up in his arms, took Jesus up in his arms as a young boy, blessed God and said, Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace according to your word. For my eyes have seen your salvation. I've seen your salvation. Not getting rid of the Romans. He knows the salvation of the soul, which you have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel. Then Simon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother, behold, this child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel and for a sign which will be spoken against. Where did he get that from? Isaiah 53, Psalm, the Holy Spirit that breathed those words of the prophets into the prophets, speak into his own heart, be spoken against. Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. Let's go back to Matthew sixteen twenty two. Did Simon believe in what the prophet said? Yep, he knew. He's the only one besides these two ladies later on that know. He knew that Jesus had to suffer. He came to suffer first to save people, Gentiles, Jews, save people from their sins. Sixteen twenty two, this shall not happen to you. But he turned and said to Peter, get behind me Satan, you are an offense to me for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men. But what are things of men and women, to throw it in? What's the things of men that we're mindful of? The here and now. Do I have a job? Do I have this? Do I have prestige? Set me free from the Romans then, set me free from the Democrats today, set me free from the globalist today, set me free from the oppression of our culture that is making it so so nauseating to even live in this godless culture anymore? Peter, even though he said to Jesus, when Jesus had him roll him out in the boat so he could give a sermon, and then Jesus says, okay, Peter, now it's time to fish. Throw your net over. You probably don't know about fishing. We do. We fished all night, nothing came. And then Jesus says, just throw it over. And now it's full. And now now Peter realizes this guy is more than more than just this man. And he falls his knees and he goes, depart from me, I'm a sinner. But obviously, he isn't thinking he needs to be healed from sin like Isaiah 53 says. Yeah. We can know we're a sinner, but I'm I'm not as bad as them. Jesus, we're Jews. We're following you. You can judge those people, but we're gonna go into your kingdom. Right? Pretty soon, of the guys are gonna be arguing who gets to sit on your right and left hand because we don't we we need to be saved from sin. That's what Jesus came to do. They just wanted religion. They wanted Jesus to take care of their human problems. Can we fall into that? Can we fall into that too? Yeah. We shouldn't, though. We we should just be kinda like what Job, Job b said, you know, when he first got attacked by Satan, he said, well, naked I came into my mother's womb and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this, Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. And then later on, his second bout where he loses his health and his wife finally goes, you just go ahead and curse God and die. Shall we accept good from God and not hardship also? What is God to us? I'm gonna believe in you Jesus because you're gonna make my life better. Because I'm never gonna have problems. My kids are gonna grow up and serve you and worship you. They're never gonna go into drugs or being confused about their gender or anything else. You know, Jesus, why why why is my world falling apart? Because this world is full of sin, deception, Satan, people going after the things of the world. And we sit there and we grieve over all those things that can happen in families, but we sit there, but thank you Jesus, you've given me everlasting life. Thank you, Jesus, you have saved my soul. Thank you, Jesus, I'm gonna spend eternity with you and all the tears are gonna be wiped away. I'm gonna know you forever and ever sitting at your feet. Is that gonna be kinda cool? Yeah, Matthew sixteen twenty four, then Jesus said to the disciples, if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Peter, you just said, you want what you want. You don't want the things of God. You want the things of Satan. You want Satan deceived us into saying, don't do what God tells you to do in the garden. He just is trying to keep you from having a good time. Just eat of that tree of the fruit. You'll be like God deciding what's gonna be good, right and wrong. And so Peter, no, no, Jesus, you're wrong. I'm right. You need to stick with us. And Jesus says, no. If you wanna come after me, which is all of us, right? We wanna go after Jesus. We wanna walk with Jesus. We wanna be followers of Jesus. If you wanna walk with me, then you have to deny yourself. I want what God wants. I want what he wants, not what I want. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Death to self, the requirement for being born again. We have to give our lives to him. He owns them. He owns our life. Matthew sixteen twenty six, for what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the son of man will come in glory of his father and his angels, and then he will reward each according to his works. So Jesus is saying the son of man, which is himself, is gonna come in glory. Well, Jesus, you're here. What do you mean? You're saying you're gonna go and die, and then you're gonna come and deal with everything. Yeah. Exactly. Two thousand year delay of your plan, Peter, but that's what I'm gonna be doing. It's coming. Turn to second time, Luke chapter nine verse 30. What can we give in exchange for our soul? Nothing. Because we can't purchase our soul. Only only Jesus can. This is disciples are told Jesus is gonna die at the transfiguration. Peter, James, and John, up there, Elijah, Moses, and Elijah show up. And behold, two men talked with him, who were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of his deceased. So now Peter, James, and John are up there, and they're hearing Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus about how Jesus is about to go and die, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. And while he was still speaking, and then Matthew seventeen:five, keep your finger in Matthew seventeen:five, same account, but this is but it's another aspect to it. While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud saying, this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased, and I, you know, underline, make bold as you can, circle in red, hear him. You know, told he you he's gonna go into Jerusalem and die. Moses and Elijah are talking to him. They're saying he's gonna die. Listen to him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. Let's go to Matthew seventeen eight. The third time, right after the transfiguration, right after God's voice from heaven said listen to him. Seventeen eight, and when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them saying, tell the vision to no one until the son of man is risen from the dead. And his disciples asked him saying, why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? The scribes say, well, it's not the scribes, Malachi says. Malachi says that before the great and terrible day of the Lord, Elijah comes. So Jesus, if you're gonna go, then you're the Messiah, and there's supposed to be an Elijah that comes before you go before you come. And where is he if you're going? Jesus answered and said to them, indeed, Elijah is coming first, and he's meaning two thousand years future to them, which they didn't understand, and will restore all things because Elijah is gonna come. He'll be probably the one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11. But I say to you that Elijah coming in the power and spirit of of Elijah that was prophesied to John the Baptist's father of Zacharias in the temple, and they did not know him but did whatever they wished, likewise, the son of man is also about to suffer at their hands. Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John. Oh, now we get it. Do they know? Oh, oh, we get it. So Elijah is really John the Baptist. He prepared the way for you, and and you're gonna be setting up your kingdom. You're not really dying. You can't go away. No. You don't understand. Fourth time, Matthew seventeen twenty two. After then Jesus comes down from the mountain, and there's a big ruckus because a man has a a demoniac son that's been throwing himself in the fire and his disciples can't cast out the demon. And Jesus does, but and then while they were staying in Galilee, so Jesus casts out the demon, and then while they're in Galilee, Jesus said to them, the son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up. Now what would you think they should do? What should they do? Oh, pretty soon, Jesus is gonna die for the sins of the world. He's gonna save us from sin, Jew and Gentile. And they were exceedingly sorrowful. Why should they be sorrowful? Because they were thinking the here and now. I quoted this, you know, once the Lord used my grandson to let this so dig into my mind. I have a grandson named Hunter, and he he was young, you know. How old do you think he was at Oh, five, maybe a little bit lower. Anyway, I have a shed at He came from Oregon to visit us and I have a shed and he went inside there and he saw my diving tank and buoyancy compensator regulator and everything that was in there and he goes, Woah, you have a diving tank. Somehow he had known about that. You have a regulator. And then he just thinks for a while and he goes, when are you gonna die? He he's old enough to know about inheritance and everything. He's like, this is gonna be mine. And I thought that was so funny. He just recently qualified Air Force Special Forces combat control technician where he gets to, you know, forget my dive gear. You're getting it from the taxpayers of America because it's a Navy equivalent or it's an Air Force equivalent of being a Navy SEAL. But the disciples should have been the same way. Jesus, when are you gonna die so we can have life? Who cares about a scuba tank and a regulator? It's gonna go in the trash somewhere someday. I I want eternal life. When are you gonna do it? Fifth time, turn to Matthew twenty seventeen. On the final walk to Jerusalem, on his way to go raise Lazarus from the dead, he takes his disciples aside on the road, the same road that he's just healed two blind men to. And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the 12 disciples aside on the road and said to them, behold, we are going up to Jerusalem and the son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death and deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify. And the third day, he will rise again. Just before he's raising Lazarus from the dead. They should have been thinking Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53. But what do they do? Then the mother of James and John came to him and kneeling down and saying, I want one on one side of your One side of you and the other side. And again, James and John must have said, they should have said, Mom, he just said he's gonna be crucified, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53. He's not setting up his kingdom now. He's dying for the sins of the world. But they must have put her up to it with the talk. No. No. No. We know the disciples when they're leaving Jerusalem on on the Olivet Discourse, they're saying, Jesus, isn't that temple awesome? I mean, as soon as you get rid of the Romans and you're gonna be that's a great headquarters. That's a great place for you to set up your kingdom. And Jesus goes, that thing's going down. What what is wrong with you guys? Sixth time, right after the Olivet discourse, Matthew twenty six one. Now it came to pass when Jesus had finished all these things that he said to his disciples, you know that after two days is the Passover, and the son of man will be delivered up to be crucified. Go to verse six. And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to him having an alabaster flask, and I'm gonna say the woman is Mary, sister of Lazarus and Martha, having an alabaster flask of costly fragrant oil. And she poured it on his head, and he sat at the table. But when his disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, why this waste, especially Judas? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor, and Judas, me, so I can get rich off of Jesus. But when Jesus was aware of it, he said to them, why do you trouble the woman, for she has done a good work for me for you have the poor with you always, but me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on my body, she did it for my burial. Remember when Mary and Martha were all upset, Lazarus died. Jesus, if you would have only been here, our brother would not have died, even though he's gonna die again someday. You know? What good is a few more weeks, months, or years. As long as you're gonna go into eternity with heaven, it doesn't matter. And that's why Jesus says, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will never die. She got it. Because right after that, he raises Lazarus from the dead even though he stunk it. You know, the King James, he stinketh. And and so, wow. And and she must have asked the disciple, what was he talking about up the road? Well, he was telling us he's gonna die and be crucified and raised again. We we plugged our ears for the raise again because that doesn't make sense. And and so but she goes, you know what? I believe Jesus. In fact, John eleven twenty five is where Jesus says, I'm the resurrection life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? She said to him, yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the son of God who has come into the world. I believe, Psalm two. And as soon as you raise my my brother Lazarus, I'm gonna realize that you're also Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, all the prophecies. You are going to die, you are gonna raise from the grave because you have to come back again to do part two, which is the conquering Messiah. And how do we know that? Because one thing I just noticed is last resurrection Sunday, my last teaching of the bible before I went on with the new ministry, I realized something I'd never seen before, and that is that all the ladies that showed up at the tomb, did they believe Jesus? I mean, we're talking Mary Magdalene, Mary, Mary, Mary. All those women that showed up at the tomb, did they believe Jesus? No. Because they're at the tomb. If Jesus says, three days later, I'm gonna raise from the grave, what did they come to the tomb with spices for? And even Mary sits here and goes to the disciples, I don't know where they put him. She thinks that somebody's stolen him out of the tomb and they stuck him somewhere. I don't know where they put him. He said he was gonna raise from the grave. And so who's who's missing of all the people going to the tomb that morning? Mary and Martha. The one who anointed Jesus for his burial. Know, Elijah, again, he he was do we wanna be devoted to Jesus here in these last days? Are people going to be after us like Jezebel went after Elijah? And what did Elijah finally do? I mean, got threatened. Jezebel says, God do to me and more also if I don't kill you by the end of the next day. And what does he do? He runs to a cave. I'm it. I'm I'm the only one. And what does God do? He shows up and he says, he has the, you know, has a fire and earthquake and wind and and then there's still small voice. And then Elijah says, I wanna hear what's a still small voice. He goes, what are you doing here? What are you doing here in your bunker? I want you to go do this and this and this. And what and so we can get discouraged by the things that are happening in the world, can't we? And we can either bunker up or we can do what Jesus told us to do. What did Jesus tell us to do? Matthew 28, all authority has been given it to me in the heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, son, and the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I've commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. So in our discouragements about this world, let's remember he's given us a job. And if we really believe him, if we believe it's the last days, that means that we believe that pretty soon the church is gonna be taken home. And if the church is taken home, our voice is gone. And that means that your friends, your family, your neighbors, your coworkers, and everything else that don't believe in Jesus, they're all gonna be left behind and most likely be the myriads that are gonna be sent into eternity in hell. And we should have a compassion to read our bibles, to learn of him, to know how to have an apologetic argument to help people that are being deceived by Satan, and to then be used of God. God, how do you wanna use me? I can do the pleasures of the world. I can distract myself with a billion different things in the world today. But I want to let my life be used of you because that's what you commanded me to do, to pick up my cross and follow you. And I and I'm just gonna read this. So, you know, Psalm two one, go back to Psalm. Why do the globalists rage and the people plot vain things? The leaders of the growing kingdom of the Antichrist set themselves and the rulers to take counsel against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, let's cast off the bonds of God. Let's cast off the bonds of ever letting Jesus or the Bible ever be heard again. And and we can get discouraged. But we have to remember, God sits in heaven and he laughs. He told us it was gonna happen. He told us all these things were coming. But he told us what to do. And and to not be part of it, to not go along with it, because we know that you, Jesus, are gonna break them with a rod of iron. He is gonna come and bring salvation. It's not gonna be the church taken over. It's not gonna be the new apostolic reformation. It's not gonna be any so we should just say you know, when people say, no. This is this is of god. You know, that counselor, the president, she's involved with the new apostolic reformation and and president is is he is the savior to bring all these things to the word, to bring Christian in the seven mountains. And we just sit there and go, you're just like the disciples. You you don't you don't believe what the scripture say. Jesus is gonna come when there's very little belief in faith. He's gonna come to a godless world. The in the last days, there'll be perilous times. People will be lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God. Doing all these things that are rebellious that we see in our culture. And so, but we have to just stay in there and kiss the sun and encourage other people, you better not fight the God who created the heavens and the earth. It doesn't end well. So what should they have said and done? They should have said and done We've already covered it. Oh, we're so excited you're here. You're fulfilling these prophecies. You're gonna die. You're gonna resurrect. Psalm 110 says you're gonna go up into heaven until the father makes your enemies your footstool. Then you're gonna come down and you're gonna reign. And so we understand everything that they didn't because they didn't read and they didn't believe because they had their own agenda for Jesus. How hard is it for us to do those things? I can include myself that I don't truly all the time do what I know I should be doing. And that's why we're gonna have communion. We're gonna be taking it before God. If there's any conviction in your heart, you know, Lord, I haven't been trusting you in certain things. I haven't believed in certain things. Then, yes, the communion, know, the team is gonna be coming up and the elements will be served. And just have your quiet time with Jesus. And just say, I wanna, I don't wanna be like Peter. Get you know, and have Jesus say, get behind me, Satan. Yeah. You're thinking like the world. You're not thinking like God. And and just let let his grace and his mercy fill us because he is a graceful, merciful God. He knows how we are. And and that we could just, turn our hearts and minds over to him. Amen?
