Galatians 5:13,15 -Called Unto Liberty- Pastor Rick Beaudry 2025-10-26
Galatians five thirteen through 15. For brethren, you have been called on to liberty, only use not your liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the laws fulfilled in one word, even in this, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another. Father, thank you so much. Thank you that we, as the body of Christ, Lord, that we have the capacity to love one another, to care, to minister to one another, to be merciful, to be kind, to be gracious. Lord, as we move on through Galatians five here, we're gonna see that love is the fruit of the spirit in all the different adjectives, description of love, the kindness, the meekness, the self control, the peace that surpasses all understanding that guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Lord, truly, you've come that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly. And, we appreciate you. We worship you today, thanking you for the quality of life that we have, the life of the spirit. And Lord, we pray that you'd help us walk in it, that you'd help us to overcome the the flesh, the world, the devil, and to truly enter into all that you have for us, Lord, today. Lord, give us that greater and greater capacity to love, to turn the other cheek, to go the extra mile, to pray for our enemies, and not be caught up in all the angst, Lord. All the all the biting and devouring that's that's manifesting itself in our culture, Lord. Help us not take the bait. Help us to love at all times. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Would you please be seated? We as Christian we as Christians been called under liberty. Jesus offers freedom. He offers liberty to those who believe in him. The Judaizers are coming through the church of Galatia and trying to bring them back under the law. The 613 precepts of the old testament, the mosaic law. And symbolic or symbolic of that move is being circumcised and all and as a as a moniker that, you know, you're following Moses. And so Paul is saying, you know, Jesus is the great emancipator. He fulfilled the law and he came to set you free, to give you liberty. Why would you go back under bondage? Why would you go in that way? And so all those who believe in Jesus, he's the one that fulfilled the law and he came to set the captives free. So freedom from sin. So we still sin, but we have freedom from sin. And so in Romans six, Paul said sin shall not have dominion over you. So the word salvation is in three tenses. The word salvation definition is deliverance and healing. So we are delivered from the past penalty of sin. That's what justification means. That's what it means to be righteous, to have a positional standing before God that there's now therefore no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. Jesus said, it is finished. Tatallas died, paid in full. So he fulfilled the law, all the demands of the law, and he paid for our sins as the father poured out his wrath upon his only begotten son, and salvation is imputed to us in the accounting ledger by grace through faith alone. And so we are saved. We're delivered from the past penalty of sin. In the present tense, living out our Christianity, we are being saved from the power of sin. Sin shall not have dominion over you. Before, we were, you know, we were slaves to sin. We did what came natural to us. We were slaves to the devil in the world in in many respects. And, and so Jesus came to set the captives free, and he set us free. So when we sin now, there's a old nature that's worn against the spiritual side of us, the new the new man, if you will. And so sin is missing the mark, but the the the clear moniker of those that are Christians and those that are not is we do not practice sin. We do not continue in the sinful lifestyle that we once lived. We repent, we turn. And when we do fall, because first John says, if we say we have no sin, we're a liar and the truth isn't in us. So we know we sin, we miss the mark. As we're pressing toward the mark, try to do the best we can, we fall, we miss it. But we confess our sin, and he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. We don't lose our salvation then regain it when we confess. We simply are cleaned up in the sense that that defilement of sin. So from the standpoint of fellowship, there's the Holy Spirit convicting us of sin, saying you did wrong. You need to confess that, Rick. Tell Cathy you're sorry. And so you finally agree. You're tired of sleeping on the couch, and alright. Okay. You win, uncle. And and then now the fellowship's restored with your wife and with the Lord, and it's a great way to live. And the third area, in the third tense, the future tense. In the future tense, when I see Jesus face to face, I'm gonna be perfected, and there will no longer be that battle between the flesh and the spirit. I'm gonna be perfect in my new glorified body. I'm gonna know even as as I am known. And so we we yearn for that day. We're looking for that day, but meanwhile, we're not slaves to to sin anymore. We have the ability, we have the power of the holy spirit, a greater power working in us, that if we yield to the spirit, that, if we walk in the spirit, we won't fulfill the lust of the flesh as we move on through Galatians five. So we have freedom from sin. We have freedom from guilt, the guilt of sin. A lot of us that go, not us, but a lot of people, a lot of our culture, a lot of us in our culture that go to psychiatrists, a psychiatrist job is to alleviate the guilt in many cases. And they wanna try and play the blame game and impose the blame of why you're such a wretched person upon somebody else. Your mom didn't hug you enough. My mom was smoking while she you know, I'm a little guy, smoking and giving me a bottle. I didn't get to nurse. Had she she'd been able to nurse me, I might be a much better person, you know, who knows? But I mean, that's the generation that I grew up in. And, man, the whole house is filled with smoke as I'm growing up. And and, you know, my daughter Brittany, man, she nurses all those kids, and their immune systems are stronger, and all the everything's connecting the way it's supposed to and all that. And so I could sit here and say, you know, the reason I drool so much is my mom didn't nurse me, you know, and and it's not my fault. You know, I'm such a loser, but we don't need to go there. We go to Jesus, and if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation, the old things are passed away, all things are become new, and we don't have to deal with that guilt. We know the devil uses the letter of the law to condemn. The holy spirit shows us the cross. And when we see the cross, we know, ah, we can rest because Jesus has already paid for all those sins, past, present, and future. And so I don't live in a performance relationship with him, so there shouldn't be any guilt there unless I've sinned and I need to confess that sin to restore fellowship. There's also the fear of death. I have freedom from death. To be asked in the bodies to be present with the Lord, I don't fear death anymore. And, freedom from hate. Before, it was it's really difficult to love apart from the help of the Holy Spirit. And so we have this freedom from hate. We don't need to hate people. We don't need to fall into the trap of ethnic groups. You know, Jesus said that nation shall rise against nation in the last days. That's ethnic groups. Ethnic groups warring and fighting, division developing and all, a social class and structure and all. We have the capacity to love. We have the capacity to love even our enemies, people that we disagree with. Freedom from lust. We can be slaves to lust as we see so much of our culture, slave to pornography, slaves to lust, and we can be freed from that lust, that tyranny of the flesh that wants to pull us down and and pervert and degrade, the role of a husband and a wife and the unity of the two becoming one. And, so freedom from the lost and freedom from drugs, how many of us came out of a drug background? You know, recreational drugs in high school and alcohol and such, and then you go back to your high school reunion, and there's so many that went through fifteen, twenty, twenty five years of of, you know, addiction to the drugs. And some of them were entry level, so to speak, but they can't put it down. They can't stop. It's a coping mechanism. It's the way they deal with the stresses of life. And you and I come to Christ, and we don't need that anymore. We can drink all the alcohol we want, we just don't have the desire for it, many of us. And we certainly well, some of you are still taking the the gummies, you know, medicinal. But hopefully, you're not doing the bong anymore. You know, hopefully, you're not going there and a bong for Jesus or something. So freedom to love, freedom to care about someone besides ourselves. We're so incredibly selfish as unbelievers. So we've been called on to liberty and our freedom is an opportunity of love. Number one, an opportunity of love. Verse 13, for brethren, you've been called under liberty. God has called you and I unto liberty. Only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh. That word occasion in the Greek means a a starting point. It speaks of an opportunity or a military term of a base of operations. So you don't want the base of operations to be the flesh. You wanna starve the flesh. You wanna kill the flesh. You wanna mortify the deeds of the flesh. There's no reform program for the flesh. God's prescription for the flesh of your fallen, ademic nature is death. Starve the flesh. If your eye cause you to sin, pluck it out. Pirates are cool. If your hand cause you to sin, cut it off. Right? So anything coming in through the eye gate that tantalizes your flesh and stimulates your flesh, cut it out. I remember I got a great story from a pastor friend of mine that had some men's ministry and all, and the guy was talking about how he had a difficulty with, with, watching stuff that was on television and, that it was, you know, really hard with the cable TV that was, you know, piped into his house. And pastor Guy says, really? And he goes over and disconnects from the TV, goes outside, and just pulls it out the wall. You know? Just help the guy. You're not gonna have that trouble anymore. Don't let that stuff in your home anymore. Some of you are cringing. Oh, man. My cooking shows. Oh, no. You know? Well, some people can't handle those other channels, you know? And some of you say, well, I've got a liberty to drink alcohol, and I only I don't get drunk, you know. Well, what about the other members in your household? What about the kids that are watching? You know? Is it an occasion a stumbling block for somebody else? You know? So why would you go there? My mom and dad, as many of you know, my dad had a kegger at the kitchen sink. So it was hot water, cold water, and beer, and everybody in my family, you know, drank a lot of alcohol. And and, you know, I began to drink a little bit, recreational drinking in high school and all, and but when I got saved, I knew the propensity for evil with alcohol. You know? And I knew that all things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient. That word expedient means profitable. So I'd evaluate this, and I'd say, is is is there a plus side to this? Is there what's the plus side? And what's the negative side? The negative side far outweighed the plus side in my life, in my home, my family. So we we decided to be teetotalers, you know. We decided to not drink alcohol at all the family gatherings everywhere we, you know, gathered with the family that, you know, they can drink, but we're not gonna drink. And, in time, many of them became, you know, came to the Lord, and many of them, you know, quit drinking. Some of them had to quit drinking because their doctors told them to quit drinking. My mom had to go into AA for twenty years to, and successfully in the AA so that she could so she wouldn't die prematurely. But when she's about 12 or 13 years old, she began to smoke cigarettes, and she smoked them, chain smoking, till the day she died at 65 years of age of lung cancer. So you may have a liberty of even smoking. You think, well, it's no problem. It's my body. Do with it whatever I want. But you reap what you sow, don't you? And so my my big difficulty is sugar. I have a real hard time with sugar, and especially chocolate and all that. So I gotta really I gotta really be careful that I get that diabetes going and and that inflammation and all that adult onset diseases due to using my liberty toward all the sugar I want, you know? So everything in moderation. It's not always it's not so easy, you know? And but we ask the Lord for the help. You know, diets are brutal. Diets are hard. Working out's easy, but it's the diet that's hard. It's the eating right, eating clean, eating at the proper time and the right amounts and portion control, you know. Guy told me last week that he's enjoying getting the senior discount. I said, I don't identify as a senior. And so we we went to Denny's, and he got the senior. And one thing he did say that I can't get out of my head is he said, hey, the senior food is portion control. And if any of you have seen me eat, boy, I could eat three of those senior dinners, you know? And I do. But I don't order the senior ones. I stack it up. But but in any event, it stuck with me. Portion control. I wonder what that is. Portion control. You know? That's a new word in my vocabulary. Wow. We have to learn that. How do you do that? How do you have the power to push yourself away? And and he talked about how we grew up that you weren't supposed to leave any food on your plate. See, I'm blaming my mom and dad. It's their fault. I'm fat. They taught me that people in China were starving. I gotta keep going for it, you know? And we can we can go for it in things that are good, and it can become bad. Right? And so we need this liberty. We need this freedom, this ability. And I'm not saying that Jesus had the perfect, you know, body weight up there that everybody has to emulate, although he did. He's a perfect human being. But, what is that perfect body weight? And yet Jesus said, it's not that which goes into a man that defiles a man, but that which comes out. And so you watch Christianity go through a phase of imposing upon everybody a certain level of fat and muscle and and whatever, and it's just it's it's ludicrous because, again, it's not that which goes into a man that defiles a man, but that which comes out from the one, the heart, the mouth speaks. And so we've we've gone over this ad nauseam that don't let people impose upon you a certain body type or whatever, that somehow you're more holy if you look like Joel Olsteen. One time we were on vacation and Joel Olsteen was on the TV in the hotel, and Kathy saw him boasting about, you know, how tough he is or whatever, and and he doesn't eat ice cream and or whatever. And he eats right, and look how good he's looking and all that, and Kathy went over and grabbed the opened the freezer and started pounding some ice cream. She was so angry so angry at that thought, that that whole idea. I'm I'm gonna use my liberty to eat some ice cream right now. I'm on vacation. Nobody's gonna put that upon me. So true freedom is not an opportunity of the flesh, but instead an opportunity of love. So the grand delusion of the unbeliever is that he's free. You think you're free. No restraints. I'm 18 now. You can't tell me what I can do? My both my daughters told me that. You can't tell me what I can do. I'm 18. I can do whatever I want. Well, you can do it living in your car. No. You don't have a car. That's my car. Oh, you you know? And and it doesn't work so well because they're your daughters, and you're really worried about them if you do kick them out of the house. So sometimes they call your bluff and they go live with somebody else, you know, and that that breaks your heart. But you're trying to trying to wake them up, trying to get them to know that there's there's still rules in this household, you know. You will have a curfew. You'll be here at this time. And, you know, they're trying to expand their wings and show you that they're independent and that they're free, free to do as they please, free to indulge himself with no constraints, a hedonistic, humanistic thinking and living, free to smoke, free to drink, free to drug, free to deceive, free to do whatever they want with male, female, boy, girl, beast and feast. No matter what, they're free. Whosoever committed sin is the servant of sin, Jesus said in John eight thirty four. And we're and that word committed in the King James is practicing. Same thing you look for if you're looking in first John. It's that word committed with the e t h on the end. It's a practicing of sin. If you say you have no sin, you're a liar. So it's the practicing of sin. It's the continuing in sin. It's the it's the life that professes to know Jesus, but in works deny him in the sense that you haven't quit anything you used to do before you said you believed in Jesus. So you continue just as an unbeliever. And we have a whole lot of people within the churches today that are unbelievers, and they think that grace means a license to sin. They can do whatever they want, and don't judge me. Don't judge unless you be judged, you know. And that's the number one verse they know. And the second verse, the men all know, the men all know don't judge unless you be judged. And the second one is what, ladies? Wives, submit to your husbands. Those are the two verses all the unbelievers know. Every single one of them. Right? And it takes the wife to let them know that the only time I'm be in submission to you is when you're in submission to Jesus because he's the head of this home. Did you get that? Your wives don't have to be in submission to a heathen who's bouncing around the house in abusive way. No, thank you. Not gonna happen. You're gonna turn his head. You're gonna bring him to the place of of admission that there's a mutual submission to do that which is right, and Christ is the head of this home. No, I won't go to bed with you and another woman. You know, things like that. Crazy things guys come up with to try and impose upon them why their wives this sort of liberty, live like a libertine, you know. This is this is freedom. No. That's not freedom. That's bondage. It's perversion. It's degrading. It destroys marriages. Destroys relationships. God had the right idea. One man, one woman for one lifetime. The two coming together becoming one. That's God's idea. Second Peter two nineteen, they promised them freedom. So they come along and promised the kids especially freedom. You don't wanna be under the constraints of your parents. You don't wanna be under all those rules and regs and all that. You wanna be free while they themselves are slaves of depravity. For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. So you don't wanna be in bondage. You don't wanna be a slave to meth. Starts out smoking pot, escalates, you want a greater high. You don't want you don't wanna go down the road of being in bondage to heroin. You don't wanna go there. I've buried a guy that over OD'd with heroin, went to visit him in the hospital, good Christian kid. The family came here when after we did his funeral, a friend of my daughter's. And he quit doing the heroin, and then he relapsed. And when he relapsed, he went back a guy explained to me, I didn't know this, but he went back to a dosage that he had previously was, you know, consuming rather than starting all over. And so it overwhelmed him, and he died, and and and we did that funeral. And it's tragic. And as I as I met with him in the hospital, he asked for some jammies. He didn't like wearing that thing with his rear end hanging out. So went to Walmart and got him some jammies and tried to talk with them, and he came to church here, he and Britt and Jessica, and went out to lunch with him and all. And by the time we got over to Silver City, they'd already down four drinks. You know, most drinks are expensive. And so I I he may not have been doing heroin, but he's still self medicating and all that. And tragic tragic to watch such potential, such great potential that God placed in the family that he came from and all, and to watch it erode and and succumb to the lies of the wicked one that would seek to bring him into into bondage. So all things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient, and I won't be brought under the power of any. I love my freedom, and I don't wanna give up my freedom for anything that's gonna bring me into bondage. I love my freedom, and I don't I don't wanna go there. And so the the bondage of alcohol that we see, the drugs, the bondage to lust, and so unbelievers are in bondage to the devil. Jesus came to set the captives free. Paul to Timothy said this in second Timothy two twenty six, that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by him at his will. And so we share the gospel, the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. That's why we're not ashamed of the gospel. The gospel is God's message to those who need to be saved, that need to be liberated from the clutches of the enemy. The enemy has blinded them, and it's a miracle at conversion for the Lord to cause the scales to come off a person's eyes, to give them ears to hear, to give them a measure of faith, as they respond, as God doesn't violate their free will, as they use their free will to receive Christ as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God even as many as believe on his name. And so as at that moment of conversion, as they're turning from their sin, they're crying out to God, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. And that faith that they exercise, that trust in Jesus is imputed under them for righteousness, and the devil no longer has control of them. They've been set free. He came to set the captives free from the bondage of the wicked one, that they may recover themselves. That's God's recovery program. God's recovery program is Jesus. That's his recovery program. Come to Christ. Get to know Jesus. He came to set the captives free. In John eight thirty one, Jesus said, if you continue in my word, if conditional, if. So you start out, I believe, I believe, I believe. And then the sun begins to beat down on that profession of faith. The trials come. Now you're wilting. There's a ledge of rock beneath your feet. There's no root system going deeper into Jesus. Just a light, shallow profession of faith, the soft sell. But now, a DUI, a drunk driver comes along and hits your daddy riding his bike. Your daddy's dead. You're angry. Why did God allow that to happen? The important thing is, are you gonna allow your faith to go deeper in Jesus? Because all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Are you called according to his purpose? We allow God to reveal himself to a greater degree than you've ever known him through that trial? Because he's a man of sorrows, and he's acquainted with grief. And he he hurts, he sympathizes, he empathizes. He was the most victimized person that has ever lived. And as his beard was being poured out, pulled out, and as people were spitting upon him, and as he was beaten with beyond recognition by human beings whom he created, he said, father forgive them for they know not what they do. He loved to the uttermost. He loves you and I to the uttermost. No matter what sins we commit, no matter what we may do, how matter how far off track we may get, he he never stops loving us. And Romans two verse four said, it's his kindness, the kindness of God that leads us to repentance. It's his love for us, the hound of heaven hounding us in the pit as a prodigal. And as you come to your senses once again, I'm eating pig food. I'm better than this. I got a better home than this, better father than this, better life than this. What happened? How did I get off track thinking I was so liberated, so free, you know? I joined the navy and look at me. Look what happened to me in these ports where nobody was watching. Look at the things I invested in. Look at the things I did. Look at the look at how far I am from the Christian home I grew up in. Well, there's a way back. There's a way back. If we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Chuck Missler, he called it the Christian's bar of soap. You wash that stuff away. Wash it away. Don't don't walk in it. Don't make excuses for it. Don't justify it. Don't rationalize it. Confess it. To confess means to agree with the holy spirit. And again, the devil's the accuser of the brethren. The devil's trying to say, you can never make it as a Christian. The devil wants to condemn you and show you the pit of hell. Oh, your marriage can never be be restored. Nobody's ever gonna forgive you of this. That's a lie from the pit of hell. Whereas the Holy Spirit says, come to the cross. It's for these sins I died. Come to the cross. Humble yourself. Call upon me while I'm near, and the Lord will be there to meet you right where you're at. And he'll restore you as he did David. If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed. See, in actuality, real, you're a real one. How do we know the real ones? They continue in God's word. They don't start out and then just go their own way. You gotta be careful all the different books and YouTube prophets and all the stuff. You can get so far off track. Continue in his word. Get to know him. Get grounded in his word. And you shall know the truth because we live in a time of propaganda, a time of great lies. The greatest weapon of the wicked one is deception, to deceive. And a person that doesn't know God's word is more susceptible to being deceived by the wicked one. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Disciples. Disciples are learners, students of God's word, and you're free. He who the son sets free is free indeed. Think of the bondage you were once in, and the Lord has set you free. Mike and Shannon Goodson, they've got a great testimony if you wanna talk to them of how the Lord set them free from drug and alcohol addiction. God set them free. God used the people at Sylvan Way Baptist Church to reach out to them and to help them through that period of time and to get them sober and saved, and and they love God's word. And it's God's word that keeps them on that straight and narrow because they don't wanna go back to the pigpen. And a lot of our kids that are raised in Christian homes, they don't know that reality. We don't want them to know that reality. We don't want them to go down the road we once went down. We we want to shield them from the lies of the wicked one. Shield them from the lies of the predators in the church that are seeking to just go to bed with them and all. We wanna preserve them under their their marital day, the day that they get married. We wanna keep them pure and holy and and walking close to the Lord, and yet many of our churches today, the youth groups are and the singles groups are just so incredibly promiscuous. People not walking according to God's word. And so we've been called on the liberty. Our freedom is an opportunity of love. And secondly, our freedom is an obligation of love. He says verse 13 verse b, but by love serve one another. Serve one another. Freedom from selfishness. It's not an opportunity of the flesh. Now we're free to love. We're free to overcome that selfishness, that me first, that that role that we play where we try to manipulate people, and I had a friend of mine that did a drug and alcohol thing on Wednesday nights in Seattle, a couple 100 people, and he came out of drug and alcoholism. And and, you know, what he told me was made a lot of sense because we were Downtown Bremerton, the Roxy there, and we had a lot of folks that would come in and need $20 and $25, need this, need that, you know. And we were we were happy to help and all, but one thing he told me was, Rick, remember, drug users are users. They've learned to use. They've learned to manipulate people. And and so be careful of that. And so I began to realize, alright. So even though they're in the church, even though they say they believe, are they trying to prey upon people? Are they trying to manipulate people? Are they still trying to use people? Or are they now at a place where they're laying their life down to serve others? Jesus said, the greatest among you be the servant of all. He said he didn't come to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many. And the disciples were fighting over who was gonna be the greatest. Who's gonna sit on the left hand? Who's gonna sit on the right hand? Because Jesus was preempting that he was gonna be going to the cross, that he'd believe in him. And they couldn't really comprehend that. They kept thinking that Jesus was gonna overthrow the Romans and that he'd be the king, the Messiah, the anointed one, and that he would need, you know, James and John, Salome, their mother, come to Jesus asking, could one of my sons sit in your left hand, one on your right hand? They're jockeying over who's gonna be the greatest. And the other disciples, they heard that Salome preempted and got there first, they were indignant because that's secretly what they wanted. One to be on the left hand, one on the right hand. So they're fighting like, in the flesh, who's gonna be the greatest? And they go for the last Passover, and the house is prepared and they come into the house and the job of the lowly slave in the household is to do what? Wash the feet of those who come in. And these guys are all too big for that, too hefty, you know, too prideful to wash somebody's feet. Me? I'm doctor Rick Bodrey. You're not I'm not washing your feet. I'm a pastor. I'm a priest. Don't you know who I am? I'm gonna sit on the left hand of Jesus. I'm the we're the sons of thunder, James and John, you know. We could cook those Samaritans if we wanted to. We ride Harleys and wear leather like John the Baptist, man. We're tough guys. And so Jesus got a basin of water, and he began to wash his disciples' feet. And they didn't know what he was doing. They they didn't quite comprehend it. Why would he? He's the master. Why would the master be doing this lowly servant role? Well, he knew they were fighting over who's gonna be the greatest and all. He knew that he had Judas there, and they didn't even recognize him yet as the son of perdition. He's the treasure in the band. He's the treasure in the group, and he'd been pulling a little bit out of there, but they didn't notice that he was any different. Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver and betrayed thou the son of man with a kiss, Judas. You know? Jesus still giving them a chance to repent in the Garden Of Gethsemane. And so Jesus begins to wash their feet. And five times, he in his interaction with Peter, Peter says, you're not gonna wash my feet. And Jesus said, if I don't wash your feet, you have no part with me. And Peter says, not just my feet, but my whole body. I wanna be bathed. And Jesus said, no. Those that are washed, w a s h e d, luo, they only need to wash their feet. Nipto, a play on Greek words, nipto and luo. So Jesus is saying, like like first John one nine, Peter, you're defiled as you come in off the street, as you come in off the world. You're defiled from the world and all the filth and the billboards and the sounds and all that junk, and it defiles you. It makes you dirty. And you don't need to go get saved because the filth of the world, the the the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, the pride of life, that stuff. No. You you just need a little washing. Get into the word. Wash your wives with the word, men. Wash her with the word. Be transformed by the renewing of your minds. Get into God's word and wash how it washes your minds, washes your heart. And so if you confess, and so he's he's letting them know that I'm I'm I'm restoring fellowship. I'm giving you an image here, a picture here that as you spend time with me, as you serve one another, you're gonna wash that defilement off of them. And fellowship's gonna be restored in that group, and there's gonna be pride at the center anymore. There's gonna be humility. And who whosoever humbles himself in the sight of the Lord, the Lord will lift them up. And that's the lesson. He said, happy are you if you do this, you guys. Happy are you if you begin to serve one another instead of that desire like the heathen to rule over one another. That's the way the Gentiles operate. The powers struggle to rule over, but me being your master, now I'm the lowliest servant, and if I, your master, am doing this, you should do this. So he set an example that we would esteem others better than ourselves. That we'd be so secure in our walking relationship with Jesus that we we can demonstrate our love for him and for others in a sacrificial love, in that greater love has no man than this than a man lay down his life for his friends. That you're willing to lay down your pride, lay down your life, lay down your rights and your entitlements to love on somebody else, even though they may not understand yet, even though they're insulting, even though they don't deserve it. You think the disciples deserve that? They didn't deserve anything except the fires of hell. Right? And so this obligation that we have to love, Jesus washed the disciples' feet. The happiness in serving others, Jesus said, happy are you if you do this? There's a happiness there. There's a joy. There's a blessing in serving others. Sometimes we're so overwhelmed because we're so introverted looking within, and when we look within, we just see junk, darkness, problems. Because in me, that is in my flesh, dwells no good thing. The psychiatrist can search and say, no, you're basically good. No, you're not basically good. If you being evil, Jesus said, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more the holy spirit the father will give the holy spirit to them that ask him. You being evil, that's your condition, a fallen, endemic nature. In me, Paul said, that is my flesh, dwells no good thing. And he illustrates it in Romans seven, things I do wanna do, I don't do. The things I don't wanna do, I do. Oh, wretched man that I am. Not what, not what recovery program, but who. It's a who. The recovery program is Jesus. Who shall deliver me from this body of death? And then he gets into chapter seven, the emphasis upon the spirit, the life of the spirit. Over and over and over again, the holy spirit. That's the transformation. That's the change. So that's the empowerment to overcome our greatest enemy is self. So David's crying out in Psalm 42, why art thou cast down, oh my soul? A cast down sheep is a sheep like a turtle that's on its back. It got overweight or it got pregnant and it's on its back and it's, and the wolves are on the outlining area waiting to seize upon that sheep. Maybe one that wandered off, crying for the shepherd to come and rescue them. He'll leave the 99 to go seek out and find that one that wandered away, but that bleeding and it creates gases and things within the sheep that makes it more and more anxious, anxiety attacks, need Xanax, and where's my Xanax, and where's my whatever to cope? You know, I can't do the they're not paying me anymore at work, and the EBT cards are gonna stop on November 1. How am I gonna cope? Am I gonna go back to the alcohol and the drugs, the things I used to rely upon, or is this an opportunity to hope in Jesus, to go deeper with Jesus? Why art thou cast down on my soul? David's talking to himself. Why art thou cast down on my soul? It's one thing I hear Cathy talking sometimes, who you who you talking to? I'm just talking. Are you answering yourself? Why art thou cast down all my soul? Why art thou disquieted within me? And don't feel bad about being depressed. Don't feel bad. You should be at times. This weather makes me depressed. I don't know how I'm gonna get to August to go away for a month again in the sunshine. No. That's okay. There's leaves. Look how beautiful the leaves are. You find the good in it. All the salmon are loving it right now. But then I'll see a picture of San Diego and people laying on the beach. What am I doing here? Oh, you like to hike. No. I don't. I like to ride my bike on a sunny day. Where out thou cast down, oh my soul? Why art thou disquieted within me? And David comes back with the answer, hope thou in God. Don't hope in yourself. Paul said that he reached a place, the great apostle Paul, so spirit filled, oh, you just need to read your bible more, just need to pray more, just need to witness more. No. That's a works relationship. Paul did it all. And he said that he reached the place where he despaired even of life. He's suicidal. Job reached that place. He said it'd been better if I were stillborn, if I'd never even born. He despaired of even life, and he realized that he had the sentence of death upon himself, that he should not trust in himself, but in God who raises the dead. He could pray three times that the Lord would remove a messenger of Satan that was beaten on him, buffet him. God removed the hedge of protection like he did with Job, and he allowed Paul to be humbled by a messenger of Satan, alleviating a physical infirmity upon him. If we if we were to say, hey, do you have a physical infirmity that you're enduring? Many hands will go up. It's a fact of life as we get older. And it's debilitating. It's it's discouraging. It holds us down. It hurts. Pain is difficult, and Paul's in pain. He's hurting. And he prayed three times that the Lord removed this messenger of Satan, this tent stick that was pegging him in the ears, between the ears. Maybe these huge headaches that people get. The ophthymalia, his eyes oozing and the malaria as a result of being in this region and and the intense intense headaches and such, debilitating headaches. And the Lord answered his prayer and he said, no. Well, I'll pray again. He said, no. I'm gonna pray again. I'm gonna pray harder. And he said, no. And Paul said, the Lord told him, my grace is sufficient for you. My strength's perfected in weakness. It's when you're weak, then you're strong because you're gonna rely upon me now. You're gonna rely upon me to get you through these seasons. Charles Spurgeon had what he calls the preacher's fainting fits. He would go over to the area of France, to the to the beach area, along the coast to get some fresher air because the air in London was so innocuous, and it was so debilitating for him at times. And so he would take a train, and he'd go to France, and he'd be along the the water, and it would be a means of of of trying to help him re rehab physically and emotionally and spiritually. But he had his feigning fits. He he would he was so overwhelmed with the state of the church. The the church falling away from the truth. His wife said that he died of a broken heart watching the modernism creep in at the end of the eighteen hundreds as, the church wimped out with the Darwinian evolution and the scopes trials and such. And the church wimped out in the sense that they didn't stand their ground, they gave into the notion of theistic evolution, a compromise. And it bothered Spurgeon to watch these these ministries allowing the culture to shape their future, to shape the way they were going doctrinally, which is a radical doctrine, and it broke his heart. You may be like that. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. It broke his heart to watch and to see forty years ahead that people are going to be decimated by general Titus and the Roman soldiers putting a siege upon that city. Couple million people are gonna die. And be why? Why? Why was that necessary? Why was that need? Because they knew not the time of their visitation. They didn't know that the Messiah was already there. They rejected their Messiah and Jesus wept over the city. How often I would have gathered you as mother hen does gather a brood under your wings, but you would not. You would not. You were crying out, crucify him, crucify him, let his blood be upon us and upon our children. Four days earlier, you're saying, hosanna, hosanna, save now, save now. But now, you're in a demonic cult. You're in a demonic sway, a demonic spell. You're under the sway of the wicked one. As a religious leaders, the false prophets are are stirring the people up against Jesus. And Jesus told Judas, that what you do, do quickly. This is your hour, the hour of darkness, and that hour of darkness was there. All the other times they tried to grab Jesus and kill him, throw him over a cliff, they couldn't. It wasn't his hour. It wasn't his time. But this was the hour. This was the time that he would spoil all principalities and powers, that he would be the victor, that he would triumph over them, and and the wicked one thought, this is it. I'm gonna kill the Messiah. I'm gonna kill Jesus. I'm gonna hold him down. But he couldn't hold him down. Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory? It's swallowed up by Jesus. And we now don't fear the threats, the taunts of the wicked one. We're free. We have the freedom. We don't fear death, and we're gonna differentiate as we move on through the chapter between happiness and joy. Happiness is happenstance. Things going well for you. Joy is a fruit of the spirit. Joy is not predicated on whether you get paid or not. Joy is spending time with Jesus. Do you know the acronym, the secret of joy? Is Jesus first, others second, yourself last. That's the secret of joy as you choose to serve others. You're depressed? Find somebody worse off than you and make a tray of cookies and take them some chocolate chip cookies. And watch how the ladies, probably they won't be allowed to do this, but watch how the men and the women in the nursing homes, who their own children are too busy to visit and and it's brutal and all that, watch how they light up as you come in there to listen to all their stories and share some cookies. And you have the ability to walk out of there, get in your car, go home, get rid of your cat, I don't know, hug your dog, I don't know. But in any event, you have the freedom to be around those that that love you and to find people that need to be encouraged because you recognize that that that empathy, that that compassion that others have shown you, you have the capacity as the Lord ministers to you to minister to others. But that same compassion that the Lord ministered to you in your difficulty. Love doesn't seek its own, first Corinthians 13. Paul said to the church of Philippi in Philippians two verse two, fulfill you my joy that you be like minded, having the same love, being a one accord of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory. But in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. The church should be a place of loving others. I've described it this way. I've heard it described this way. Come to church with a basket full of donuts, baked goods, candy, cookies. A basket full of whatever it is you wanna share with the body of Christ here. Don't come in with an empty basket expecting to leave with a full basket. Turn it around. You'll leave with joy in your heart as you become a giver, as you wanna minister to others. As long as the obsession with self, you're never gonna be satisfied. But when you begin to look for doors, open doors to minister to others, the Lord's gonna give you divine appointments. And all those scars you bear, all that sorrow you endured, all the difficult times, that betrayal and rejection, God's gonna send you to people who they've been through a divorce. They've been betrayed. They know what it is, and they need someone to tell them, you're gonna get through this. Jesus is here to help you, and so am I. They just need a friend. They need the comforter. They need to be pointed to Jesus. Nobody goes through this life alone, isolated. The devil would love to isolate. There's a picture of a analogy when I first became a Christian of fellowship. Fellowship is all the coals around a fire. It's all those coals next to each other warming each other. But the devil will try and take one of those coals and separate it from the and isolate it. Put it in it. The the warmth goes out. The warmth goes out. Fellowships coming together on a regular basis, being around like minded people and ministering with the gifts that you have one to another. Building one another, strengthening one another. It's a war zone out there, but you should be able to come to church and home fellowships and on the phone or however you communicate and communicate God's love, encouragement, building one another up, trying to counteract all the wickedness and the lies of the wicked one that seeks to cause our young people and people to commit suicide in our community to give up, to quit. Jesus said in the last days, the times that we're living in, that iniquity, lawlessness would abound, and the love of many would wax cold. There'd be acute selfishness. There wouldn't be love. You ever notice how when you're going to restaurants and businesses and places that you're going out, do you ever notice how poor the customer service is? Incredibly poor. Unbelievable. And my heart goes out to waitresses and waiters and people that are working, you know, in the public eye in the in the community. People can be so brutal, but, I mean, I'm talking about my wife and my daughter, very nice people, and they're trying to be nice, and you got these people there that are just so rude. No love at all. It's like a privilege that they're even there to answer your question as you, you know, trying to get in, you know. It's so bizarre. It's just crazy. The lack of love, that and decency and and kindness and what it means to be a Christian. So many predators, so many users, so many deceivers. Jesus said it this way, you know the golden rule? Confucius, his golden rule is, do unto others as they've done unto you. Jesus, the golden rule for you and I as Christians is do unto others as you would have them do unto you. So even though they may not deserve it, even though they may not appreciate you during pastor appreciation month, you do unto them as you would have them do unto you. You keep doing the right thing over and over and over and over again. You do it as unto the Lord. And I like that in Colossians where Paul says, whatsoever whatsoever you do, do it heartily, your whole heart, as unto the Lord, not unto men. Why? Because men are fickle. One month, they appreciate you, next month, they forget about you. But you're doing it as unto the Lord, and your rewards are deferred. The benefits are deferred. I've got a great benefit package awaiting me in heaven. Right? The rewards, the crowns, the joy of hearing the Lord say, well done, thou good and faithful servant, you know. That's what we wanna hear the Lord say. Your family, your loved ones, people around you may not appreciate you, but the Lord's watching. You're very valuable unto him. You're valuable to the body of Christ. God's watching. God's keeping track. Do it anyway. So as you would that men should do to you, Jesus said in Luke six thirty one, do ye also to them likewise. For if you love them which love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them. Now, let me pop your bubble. Do you think Donald j Trump hates Hillary Clinton? Do you think the Republicans hate the Democrats? You're delusional. They're on the same team. Just watch when they're not president anymore. You'll see Bush with Clinton with Obama yucking it up. They're all on the same team. It's the left right, deception. We're the ones they hate. We're the ones they're manipulating. Those in prison, they love other prisoners that treat them good. Right? Criminals love criminals. Right? For sinners also love those that love them. And if you do good to them which do good to you, what thanks have you for sinners also do even the same? And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thank have you for sinners also lend to sinners to receive as much again. But love your enemies. Can you do that? I had a lady accused me of being a democrat the other day. I'll dare her. Can you love a democrat? Do we still live in a time where you can love your neighbor, the democrat? I hear reports of Trump stuff over here and Democrats on this side. I know a guy in our church, he's not here right now, so I can say it, he's getting ready to move because his brother, who's his neighbor, has a wife that hates Trump, and his wife loves Trump. So the signs out front get thrown down. You gotta be kidding me. Right? You gotta be kidding me. We got a neighbor around the corner that's flashing that she's democrat. I don't care. She's married, got a couple kids, you know. They like to throw snowballs when it when the snow's there. They're just kids. They're just people. Why why fixate? Why obsess over the differences? You know? Don't get caught up in that. Do you understand that George Soros and a lot of the NGOs pay people to go into your cities and be called what's called provocateurs? Democratic families don't do that. These are provocateurs. These are people paid to go be crazy and break windows. And the bricks are brought on pallets ahead of time via George Soros and other NGO companies that are creating the rift in these cities. The division. We may disagree ideologically. We may disagree on a lot of things, but there should be enormous amount of things that we do agree on which is we're Americans. United, we stand divided, we fall. Can we agree to disagree in the church? The devil gonna infiltrate the church and divide us over little tiny things make us enemies of each other? The devil tries a frontal attack in Nigeria right now. A frontal attack against the church the first two centuries and 6,000,000 Christians died but the Romans couldn't stop the church from growing just as the Chinese can't stop the church from growing. The church stops growing when Constantine in 03/13 joins the church. When at the Charlie Kirk memorial, there's Catholics and Mormons and Hindus and everybody saying they believe in Jesus. And nobody questions, what Jesus? Who do men say that I am? Who do you say that I am? And when you get down to it, there's an ecumenical effort to merge all the religions of the world in the name of love. Obama, love wins. That's a misconstruing of love. That's not what we're talking about. We don't compromise with evil, but we love the people. We love on them, seek to get them saved. We're not gonna go out in the streets and try and kill them because they disagree with us about marriage or and and definitely, we we keep strong laws, establish strong laws to protect our children in the public schools. No doubt. Laws that should be there to protect you as parents and to protect your children or pull your kids out of the public school. It's not to be a war zone for your children, not be a place of indoctrination, but education. But we don't if we lose and they legislate their evil, we're not to go out into the streets with guns and try and wipe them out. It shouldn't go that far, destroy the whole country, bring in martial law, no more posse comatatus, got ICE out there. Why isn't ICE finding all the sex traffickers? That's who we need to them to grab. We don't need to grab people that are migrant workers trying to trying to harvest the apples in Eastern Washington. The apples are hit into the ground, Apple prices going through the roof. Food going through the roof. Small farmers going out of business. Global is buying them up. All these small farms. They want the water for their NSA track and trace facilities they're building. It's a scam. It's a scam to divide and conquer. But love your enemies, do good to them, land hoping for nothing again and your reward shall be great and ye shall be the children of the highest for he is king unto the unthankful and to the evil. Everyone's running around king king king king. Jesus said the king. He's king of kings and lord of lords. True love sets us apart from the world. Jesus said, let your light so shine before men. Being in this community for thirty years, one of the dominant phrases out of Christian's mouth is, do you know how dark it is here? You might as well just go back home. You might as well quit right now because the witches are praying against you. It's dark, man. It's really dark. They all play Dungeons and Dragons, man. It's dark. Well, you're defeated before you ever get started. Just switch a light switch on. Put the light on. Be light. Jesus said, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father who's in heaven. Right? Paul told the church of Ephesus that we are his workmanship, his poema, his work of art created in Christ Jesus under good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. We're salt, we're light. We stand against evil, but we love people. We share the gospel. With the EBT cards on November 1, if they stop, do you wanna be drawn out in the streets and fight with people? Do you wanna go over to Fred Meyer or the grocery store and watch people that are desperate try and steal your the food out of your cart? Or come into the store and ransack the place? Think the police can handle that sort of chaos, that engineered chaos? Purposely to break down our society? To bring in martial law? Are you gonna take the bait? Are you gonna hate? Are you gonna say, if you need another basket of food, here's my address. I don't want you to succumb to the pressure of having to steal. Do you have enough food to share? Can you use as an opportunity to share the gospel? To rescue people from that way of life? The church is supposed to be the place people run to. Now the church is making the mistake of joining the world and developing all these little tiny nonprofit organizations to be funded by the world. Salvation Army funded by the world, and they can't preach the gospel. When they're trying to feed these guys, they can't share the gospel because it offends some of the people that are there. You don't get money anymore if you share the gospel. What's the point of being the Salvation Army? Catholic services, all these different services, getting grant monies, monies from the world, and the world comes in and corrupts it, and now we miss the whole message. We don't know what we're doing. The very most important thing is for these people to get saved. And when they get saved, they discover they can work, that they can get married, they can have family, so they can be single and be responsible. The perpetuating the destruction that the wicked one has them in. We've been called under liberty. Our freedom is an opportunity of love, an obligation of love, and thirdly and finally, the obedience of love. For all the laws fulfilled in one word even in this, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. Love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said in John thirteen thirty four, a new commandment I give unto you, new in importance, that they'll love one another as I have loved you. That ye also love one another. By this shall all men know, does Kitsap County know? Have they seen real Christians? By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another. Love is to obey. Love is to obey God. If I if I love him, I want to obey the obedience of faith. I don't wanna test where the boundaries are and live one foot in the world, one foot, you know, with Jesus. I wanna go all the way with Jesus. How could I do this great evil against God? I don't wanna break my father's heart. It's love. Paul said, oh, no man anything but to love one another. For he that loveth another has fulfilled the law. Love is the fulfillment of the law, the 613 precepts. For this, thou shall not commit adultery. Where's Paul going? He's going back to the 10 commandments, Exodus chapter 20. Exodus 20 verse 14. The first four of the commandments says, you'll have no other gods before me. Second one, you will not participate in adultery. You won't take the Lord's name in vain, the third one. The fourth one, keep the Sabbath holy. First four vertical, your relationship with God. The Sabbath has to do with the nation of Israel. It's their covenant with God, not ours. Jesus is our Sabbath rest. The next six of the 10 commandments deal with horizontal between man. So we're loving. So Paul's here listening. Don't commit adultery. Exodus 20 verse 14. Thou shall not kill. Exodus 20 verse 13. Thou shall not steal. Exodus 20 verse 15. Thou shall not bear false witness, don't be a liar, Exodus 20 verse 16. Thou shall not covet, Exodus 20 verse 17. And here Paul leaves out in Romans 13, he leaves out, honor your father and your mother. Verse 12. And if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehend in this saying, namely, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor, therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law. And so we see that a lawyer came to Jesus and he said, good master, you know, what's what what do I need to do to enter the kingdom of God? And Jesus said, this what you're supposed to do, you know, keep the commandments. Which? What are these commandments? Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy mind, thy soul, all thy strength. Love your neighbor as yourself and these two are all the law and the prophets. The whole bible summarized one word, love. Love is what we're called unto. In Matthew's gospel, there was a rich young ruler that came to Jesus and he said, good master. Jesus said, there's none good but one and he is God. And that rich young ruler asked him what he should do to enter the kingdom of God, and Jesus said, keep the commandments. And he said, which? And Jesus told him, don't commit adultery, don't commit murder, don't lie, don't steal. Honor your father and mother. Jesus went through five of them, but left one out. And the guy says, all these I've done for my youth up, and says that Jesus loved on him. He could see the sincerity of this rich young ruler. I haven't committed adultery, I haven't murdered. I haven't stolen. I haven't lied, and I've honored my father and mother. Jesus left one out. And to illustrate, to draw out of this man his need of Jesus for righteousness, Jesus said, go and sell all that you have, give it to the poor, take up your cross and follow me. And the rich man went away very saddened because he's very, very wealthy. And then Jesus told the disciples, oh, how difficult it is for a rich man to enter into heaven. He said it's easier for the camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter into heaven. And the disciples said, oh, who can be saved then? Jesus said, with God with man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible. What was that one thing keeping this man out of the kingdom? Covetousness. Have you ever heard a sermon on covetousness? Never. Because we twist it and say, more is more is more is the bless me club. And she said, problem is your stuff. The cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches have choked you off, and you don't have the faith to trust me. You're trusting in uncertain riches. Where the poor are rich in faith, aren't they? They're walking day by day, trusting the Lord day by day by day. We might get there someday. The legalist worries that if we emphasize God's grace in the life of the believer, that this professing believer will use the grace card as a license to sin. So we better give them 10 things they can do or 10 things they can't do to lock them lock them in. We don't want them to know grace is God's unmerited favor. Right? But we fail to understand that true believers will not treat God's grace as a license to sin. That's a false believer. If they truly have experienced the grace of God in saving them, they're not gonna turn around and use God to do whatever they please, ever they want, and pull out the grace card, judge not lest you be judged. That's an indicator they don't have a relationship with God. And they're using, misconstruing God's grace. Jude says they take the grace of God and they turn it into lasciviousness, which would be a license to sin. So the love of Christ constrains us. We want to be holy. We want to yield to the holy spirit. John says, first John two three, hereby we do know that we know him. Do you know him? How do we know you know him? If we keep his commandments, obedience. He that say it, whole lot of whole lot of pretenders out there. They profess that they know God but in works they deny him. There's no fruit. There's no fruit. No indicator that they that they really believe. He that say it, I know him and keep it not his commandments is a liar and the truth isn't in him. But to whosoever keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected. Hereby, know we that we are in him and so obedience to God's word is freedom. I know that I'm not supposed to lie, cheat, steal. I know that I'm not supposed to commit adultery. I'm not to even look upon a woman with lust in my heart because I've already committed the adultery in my heart. I'm not to hate somebody because I'm already a murderer, Jesus said. The law judges me internally. Externally, the pharisees were like white wall sepulchers, but inside were a fill of dead men's bones and corruption and all. From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. And so we as Christians, we're gonna find out who the holy ones are when our money's cut off. Because we're like tea bags. We don't know what flavor we are till we're put in hot water. What how are we gonna react? How insane are we gonna be? The most prosperous society in the history of the world, and nobody gave it to you. You earned it. It's your retirement. You earned it. It's your Social Security. But if they shut you off, would you go kill a Democrat? Would you rally? To what lengths would you go? People are gonna lose it. Gerald Celente says that when people lose everything, they lose it. We don't wanna get caught up in that. Then Jesus said to the Jews that believed on him, notice the Jews that believed on him. I believe, I believe. If you continue in my word, conditional, then are you my disciples indeed? Truly, you're my disciple. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. So true liberty, true freedom to love. He says verse 15, but if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another. And so that operation there that we saw in verse 12, that place of of brethren be not you have been called under liberty, only not liberty for as an occasion. That word occasion speaks of base of operation. Don't use your base of operation to war in the flesh, to be in the flesh. Let your base of operation be the life of the spirit. Yield to the spirit. You're gonna be consumed one of another. What if civil war breaks out again in America? I watched Edward Dowd talk about how, you know, like in The UK, people are getting crazy right now. In Nepal, a group of 27 year olds overthrew their government by getting to the streets. You know, people are rioting and all going crazy. And there was a picture there Edward Dowd showed where the king and his advisors are there, and they're up high, and then all these people are down below their subjects, and they're coming to get the king. And the king asked his advisors, what do we do? What do we do? And his advisor said, get the guys carrying the torches to fight with the ones carrying the pitchforks. Get them fighting against each other. Civil war. And then they'll lose sight of cutting off the head of the snake, you know. And they don't think like that. It's gonna be republicans against democrats, conservatives against liberals, blacks against whites, against yellows or browns and all. Get them fighting among themselves. Iniquity will abound, Jesus said, and the love of many will grow cold. They'll do it to themselves. They'll pull America down by themselves, justifying an insurrection act, justifying martial law. They were played. They were played. They don't see it. They're being deceived. And they don't see it, how they're being played with hatred. Without love, we're nothing but defeated. The devil wins. Jesus has won the war of hate and love. He's won the war of bondage and freedom. Jesus has called us under liberty, the freedom of love. And so go on the offensive. Let your opportunity be on the offense of Jesus said in Matthew 16 verse 18, upon this rock, this massive rock, I'm gonna build my church, not Peter, not Littlestone, not pope Peter, upon this rock. Upon myself, I'm gonna build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Jesus is saying, we're gonna go on the offense. We're gonna go on the offense with love, sharing the good news of my coming kingdom, sharing the good news of love and forgiveness and restoration to be born again, to be in Christ. That's our message. And we're gonna set the captives free. And we're gonna raise up a standard of righteousness, a bright shining righteousness that exposes the wickedness and causes the wicked to cower until they can find another opportune time. At times now, because we're deluded. We're fighting. We're demonizing Democrats. And it's been a long process of of demonizing them. A long process of hate and rhetoric and bureaucratic stuff. I mean, the Republicans when they had the presidency of the house and the senate should have stopped them. Why was Mayorkas allowed to bring in so many people from from South America and Central America? Positioning them at the Danbar cut off in in in Panama. Why? And now they're all here and now supposedly, we gotta get rid of them. And now the government shut down, nobody's gonna get paid and there's this battle between the two and we didn't get the wall built and it's nationalism. We're gonna make America great. Well, who are we demonizing? Who is it we hate? I believe the mega deception is that mega will stop Democrats from destroying America. That I believe is the mega deception. Lady called me a democrat. How dare her? That mega can be trusted. So now you wanna trust mega, while mega builds what? The global beast system. Very first day in office, president Trump signed into law the Stargate, which is Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, all the globalists building the track and trace digital system, all things AI. So while we're fighting, Democrat, Republican, conservative, liberal, whole beast system's coming in, which is gonna be the most tyrannical system the world has ever seen where the devil wars against God, Wars against Jesus, trying to keep Jesus from returning. How classic. Building the beast system, the no love system, the all things AI system, The digital ID. Do you see how nervous people are of the digital ID right now? Once once we go into a digital ID, that's the chaos necessary. They have to bring the chaos to collapse the economy, the global economy. The tariffs are used to to disconnect China and other nations from the from the system we presently have. We're not going back to a nationalism and manufacturing and all that. Car companies are going out of business. We're going to a digital system. Digital medical records, digital currency, digital surveillance, a social credit score for each and every person, digital weapon systems. Peter Thiel's from Palantir and PayPal, their weapon systems used by Israel through AI to identify targets in the war with Gaza and in Ukraine. We're beta testing the this new system in these countries. Censorship. First thing that came out of Charlie Kirk was censorship. Everybody better repeat the official narrative that that guy on the roof shot him with a 30 odd six even though nothing was blown up or we're gonna censor him. That's hate speech. Thank god there's people. I I don't know what the truth is on that one. There's so many layers of deception. It's unbelievable. Tokenization. Do know what tokenization is? It's taking the Puget Sound, the beauty that's here, and some rich guy could buy all the water. The rich guy could buy an island. They could go to Ilihi State Park and it's tokenized as collateral with the bankers and they could own Ilihi State Park, private groups. Yosemite, it's mine, tokenized. It's the collateral for it to continue to loan money into the system. People want tangible assets, tokenization is their brilliant idea. Food scarcity. I read this morning where the when the tariffs with China kick in, that the shelves at Amazon are already becoming empty. Shelves in the stores and food prices are gonna continue to rise exponentially, and also scarcity of food. Inflation, November 1, are they gonna go with it with the EBT cards? They're gonna shut them off? That's right next week. What kind of chaos will happen? Then the retirees, then the social security, which leads under what? Bondage, tyranny. All of that leads to tyranny, a whole new system implemented. The digital control grid, a digital concentration camp. Why? Because we used our liberty as an occasion to hate. Demonizing Democrats, and it's on our watch as Christians. We're gonna bring in the NAR, the new apostolic revere reformation. We're gonna bring in the golden age of Aquarius. We're gonna get rid of all the evil, and then Jesus will come back, which is a messed up eschatology. No. The world's gonna reach the brink of total and complete collapse. Jesus said, except those days be short and no flesh should be saved, but for the elect's sake, for the nation of Israel, the Lord Jesus intervenes. So this is all prophesied. We're all going there, but the real problem, the real reason is we quit loving our neighbor. We're demonizing immigrants. We're demonizing anybody that's here. We're demonizing anybody that doesn't follow the mega mantra. We're not allowing room for differences. We're willing to burn the whole thing down if we don't get our way. We're gonna burn it down. What sense does the war in Ukraine make? Gonna burn it all down. We're gonna cause it to escalate with nuclear war with Russia and NATO. Well, if you're coming in with a new system and you wanna deceive the masses of people so they can't connect the dots of how it happened, you go to war. You break their will. And then, you let them know there's 5,000 digital dollars, digital token, Trump Trump tokens, Elon tokens, and the fed.com. All you need do, like in Vietnam, they shut down 83,000,000 people's bank account until they went to the banks and gave them their retinal scan and entered into the digital banking system, which the Bible prophesies in Revelation thirteen sixteen through 18. We're there. We're there. We're close. The good news is that when you see these things begin to come to pass, so look up for your redemption draweth nigh. The tribulation period is gonna be a period of hate, of murder, and we've been set free. We've lived in one of the most glorious, wonderful epochs periods of history in America. We can't even imagine being refugees to that we would be thrust into Canada or Mexico or The Philippines because we got thrust out of our country and we're looking for a safe haven to start over. We can't even fathom that. It's incomprehensible to us as Americans. And now we're being taught to hate, to be selfish because because he he doesn't doesn't have have a a red red hat hat on. On. We choose to hate. We go back into the self love. You see, if Harris was president, if Biden was there, they could never get away with this. You'd have never fallen for it. You trusted Mega that he was going to stop the Democrats, and he was gonna make America great. And instead, we're moving into globalism. That's where we're headed, which the bible says there's gonna be a one world government, a one world monetary system, and a one world church or apostate church religious system. That's where we're headed. And that's good news for the Christian because your citizenship is in heaven. So you need to let go of the grand delusion of mega and come back to the basics of love. Love everybody you can meanwhile. Share the gospel. Get them saved. Share your food. Share your love. Take the opportunity. Can we even love our enemies? Any of you have a Democrat friend? No. Don't do that. Let's pray. Father, we see the hatred that the Jews had to the Samaritans and the hatred that Jonah had for the Ninevites. Boy, he hated them. But Lord, you love the Ninevites, and you sent Jonah with a pretty ominous message of forty days and you're gonna perish. But Lord, from the king on down, they repented. And Lord, you repented of the judgment, the evil. You gave them a reprieve of over a hundred years. Lord, we pray for a reprieve here in America that the powers of darkness that are trying to throw gasoline on the fire and cause this thing to burn out of control, that it'd be dissipated with love, with light, with exposure. The culprits, the people that are doing this, that it's not indigenous. It's not it's not that we have a deep seated hatred toward people, but we're being played, being coerced, being manipulated. Lord, I pray that we have the help of the Holy Spirit to have wisdom, true wisdom and discernment the times in which we're living. That Lord, you said there'd be wools in sheep's clothing. That Lord, we not passively go along with this evil, but we simply have no fellowship with them fruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. Love on them. Love is powerful. Lord, equip us and help us to love. Help us to do the highest good, to not be pacifist, to fight against evil, to hold the line. And we thank you for our constitution that all of our politicians, everybody's chained to, Lord. The laws are already in place. Don't let us lose our minds, Lord. Don't let us panic and be overwhelmed with fear like we saw so many during COVID. Help us to keep trusting you as you get us through this season ahead. We need divine wisdom. We need your leadership, Lord. We need you, Lord, to help us to love. If there's anybody here this morning, you're new here, you walked in, whatever, and you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, Christianity is a relationship with Jesus. It's a love relationship with Jesus. He loves you. He so loved you. The father so loved you that he gave his only begotten son that if you'll believe in him, which means to trust in him for your righteousness. Trust in him that he's already paid the price for your sins. Past, present, and future have already been paid for. That you can't do it by being good, that you come in your own sinful condition, you cry out to God, God, be merciful to me a sinner. And as he gives you that faith to respond in love, to his love, he'll come into your heart and life, and he'll transform and make you new. That's what it means to be born again, to be born of the spirit. You're already body and soul, but now you'll be body, soul, and spirit. The life of the spirit, communication with God, a fellowship with God, you'll know the true and living God. You'll have access to his throne of grace and mercy in your time of need. Anyone here this morning, just lift your hand up. We wanna pray with you. We wanna lead you in prayer as you receive Christ. Anyone here this morning? Father, thank you once again for the assurance of salvation that we have, that if we were to die today, Lord, if if we die today, Lord, we'd be with you, to be asked on the body, be present with the Lord. We don't fear death. I think, Lord, most of us, we fear discomfort. We fear hard times. We fear not having enough money to buy food and pay our rent and keep our cars going, keep a roof over our head. So Lord, we pray that in Matthew six, Lord, that we would learn to seek first the kingdom of God and your righteousness, knowing that all these other things shall be added unto us. Take care of the birds, you feed them, you clothe the fields. And, Lord, the unbelievers, the heathen, are always worried about what they're gonna eat, what they're gonna drink, and what they're gonna wear. But we're different. We have a heavenly father who loves us and will continue to provide for us and clothe us until that point in time you decide to take us home, Lord. Lord, the psalmist says he's never seen the righteous forsaken nor a seed begging bread. So Lord, we look to you. We look to you that you teach us how to share, how to love on one another as the early church was learning, and administer one to another in a Christian community as we reach out to the lost. Give us great opportunities to reach the lost with your love, Lord, in these coming days. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
