First Corinthians eleven twenty three to 34. Would you open your bibles and please stand with me? First Corinthians chapter 11 verse 23. For I've received of the Lord that which I delivered unto you that the Lord Jesus same night in which he was betrayed took bread and when he had given thanks, he break it and said, take eat. This is my body which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of me. In the same manner also, he took the cup and when he had supped saying, the cup is the new testament in my blood. This do ye as often as you drink it in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do show the lord's death till he come. Wherefore, whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the lord. But let a man examine himself and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. For he that eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks damnation to himself not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged, but when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home that he come not together under condemnation and the rest will I set in order when I come. Father, thank you for your holy word. We desire to walk, in fellowship with you, Lord. We desire to have a clear understanding of that which you require of us, Lord. When you tell us, Lord, to love you with all of our heart, all of our mind, all of our soul, all of our strength, when you tell us, Lord, to have no idols, Lord, when you tell us to not steal, when you tell us to not lie, when you tell us to not murder, Lord, we pray that there'd be great clarity, great understanding of what it means to be a Christian, to be a doer of your word, to have the obedience of faith, to not live in the gray area, Lord, but to live in the in the power of the Holy Spirit with a with a love motivating motivation within our hearts to live lives that are pleasing unto you. And Lord, we confess to you that we can't do it in and of ourselves, in our flesh. We need the power of your Holy Spirit. Lord, we need you to change our hearts, transform and change us from within, Lord, into the image of your dear son. Let our lives bring glory and honor unto you. Let our lives be be powerful witnesses of what it means to be a Christian, Lord, in these last days. Lord, we pray that our lives will bear much fruit for your kingdom and your glory. So bless now, We desire intimacy. We desire to be one with you this morning. So bless in Jesus name. Amen. Would you please be seated? The church of Corinth was divided. The church of Corinth was disorderly, disrespectful, and disobedient at the Lord's table. And so Paul seeks, to explain communion, How we come into union. Coming into union. Communion. In John 17, Jesus prayed that we'd be one with him even as as he and his father are one. Prior to the cross, we're divided. When Adam and Eve left the garden, they had died spiritually. They're separated from God. And Jesus came to bridge that gap and to bring us back into union, bring us back into fellowship is another word or intimacy, a oneness of, you know, being a Christian. So how do we come into union? Number one, we remember his death. Verse 23, for I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you. And so, the book of first Corinthians was written about forty a forty eight a d which was earlier or preceded the writing of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. So before the gospel account of the Lord's table, and Paul got this according to Galatians one verse two, by revelation from Jesus Christ, the Lord revealed himself unto Paul and spoke to him concerning the communion and partaking of communion before the gospel account was even written. And Paul didn't learn this while in Paris at the Olympics. That he didn't he didn't he didn't learn about the Lord's table in that fashion. Some people are very very confused. He didn't sit down with some drag queens and and go over the whole thing in a blasphemous manner. And so part of what's happening is the church of Corinthus will see was disrespectful. They were irreverent at the communion table. And he's gonna point out this. That's why some of you were sick. That's why some of you, he uses the word sleeping, meaning you're dying. So part of what was happening was in this disorder, we're to do everything decently in order. I mean, when Ananias and Sapphira died, boom, dropped dead, you know. At the Olympics, you know, nobody's dropping dead, but they're they're being blasphemous. They're they're they don't understand that God's long suffering, not willing that any would perish that all would come to repentance. But there are times where the Lord, you know, Uzzah was a, you know, Uzzah touched the the ark was upon a a wagon and Uzzah bumped into it, touched it, boom, he died, you know. And I Sapphira lied to the holy spirit, boom, they died. But those people, those wackadoodles, the drag queens and all that in Paris, they get to live another day because God's long suffering. Unwilling that any would perish that all would come to repentance. So when the early church was first starting, God was trying to instill within the people a healthy fear. The church of Corinth was kinda lackadaisical, sloppy agape and all. And they were they were very permissive and liberal in their thinking and such. And so Paul's trying to get them to understand it's very serious when you partake of communion. That's why some of you are dropping dead because you're coming to the table, you know, unworthily. So he's trying to rehearse and come back to them that which he received, this ordinance. We got baptism, we have communion within the church, and how often should you have communion? Well, there's no rules pertaining to that, but when James Lee says you're not allowed to, then I I speed it up from once a month to every week, you know. You could have communion even more than that. It says the lord leads and guides. It looks like the the early church might have partook of communion together at least once a week. And so that the lord Jesus, the same night which he was betrayed took bread. So Paul got a revelation from the Lord in the book of Galatians, you can see that. He also spent three years in the Desert Of Arabia, the school of the desert, being groomed by the Lord, being taught by the Lord. He didn't go up to Jerusalem and learn from the 12 apostles. He was an apostle born out of due time, direct revelation from Jesus, the risen Christ, and so he's letting them know this is what Jesus revealed personally to me. Paul wasn't there that night. He wasn't among the 12. That the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, he took the bread. And so the emphasis upon betrayal, he was betrayed by his own. He was in the world in John one. The world was made by him and the world knew him not. He came unto his own and his own received him not. So the creator of the universe in John one, the incarnate deity in the in verse 14, and the word became flesh and dwelt among us. You know, in the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God, the same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. And, and so he's the the deity of Christ being being laid out there by John and and then he talks about how he is in the world. The world was made by him. Can you imagine, you know, talking to Jesus not realizing that he's the creator? This is the one that created. This is in car dignity. He that has seen me, Philip has seen the father, you know. And show us the father and that'll suffice, you know, the disciples are saying. And so the creator of the universe betrayed, came unto his own, meaning the Jews, came unto his own his neighbors in Nazareth, came unto his own his own family and his brothers didn't believe in him until after the resurrection. Isaiah 53 verse three, seven hundred years before he's even born tells us that he was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and we hid as it were our faces from him. He was despised and we esteemed him not. He was betrayed by the religious leaders. The religious leaders, the ones that would protect and preserve the word of God and preserve what God had entrusted to the nation of Israel, they should have recognized Jesus. Right? They should applauding. The messiah's come. The messiah's come, you know. Nicodemus, one of the religious leaders he identified, he understood. And some of them some of them believed, but the majority of them did not believe. In Matthew 20 verse 18, Jesus said, behold, we go up to Jerusalem and the son of man shall be betrayed under the chief priests and under the scribes and they shall condemn him to death. And so Jesus on that night in the Garden Of Gethsemane when Judas betrayed him for 30 pieces of silver, when Peter later would wimp out and deny that he even knew him and betray him three different times that Jesus was grabbed hold of in the Garden Of Gethsemane, and they came with a little army. And Judas said, the one that I kiss is the one that that you're looking for. And so he comes up and gives a kiss to Jesus, and Jesus says, betrayest thou the son of man with a kiss, Judas? He calls him his friend, giving Judas a chance to repent. Right there. Give him a chance. God always gives space for repentance. He loves you. He loves me. He wants fellowship with you and I. He wants you and I to come into union. For Christ came not in the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He came to seek and to save the lost. The righteous, they don't need a savior, you know. There's people out there delusional who think they're righteous enough, they're good enough, they're gonna make it into heaven. No. There's none righteous, no, not one. All we like sheep have gone astray and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. We've all betrayed Jesus. And so he's grabbed hold of in the Garden Of Gethsemane and he's taken by force, but he proves to all those people coming to him that he's absolutely in control. Who are you looking for? Jesus of Nazareth. I am. Boom. They fall over. Falling over. Peter takes his sword and cuts off Malchus' ear. Now Donald Trump, it says they went like this or something. You know? I don't believe it. But Malchus must have went like this. Malchus Because Peter's going to lop the head off. You know? He's taking his sword. I'm gonna I'll help you, Jesus. Whoo. You know? Just his ear comes off. None of them talked about that. And Jesus reaches down, and I don't know if it's the right ear. You know? He was definitely bleeding. That whole Deuteronomy eight thing that we refuted last week, I noticed they're not pushing that as much this week. Boy, they're sure pushing that that consecration of his right ear and the blood on he's not a part of the house of Aaron. Anyway, Malchus, they put the ear back on him. Jesus puts the ear back on him. Right? And Peter, don't you know that I could call down 12 legions of angels if I wanted to? Peter, call down 72,000, 6,000 in a legion, you know? I I can call down legions of angels, and it only took one angel to destroy a 185,000 of the Assyrians, Peter. Just one angel, you know. One angel over the city of Jerusalem to wipe out the whole city when David numbered the people. Right? So Peter, no man's taken my life from me. I choose to lay down my life. I knew ahead of time that I'd be betrayed. I knew that everybody bail on me. But Peter, I I'm looking at the bigger picture. Looking at the bigger picture, bro. And when you're converted, you know, strengthen your brethren. Satan desires that he may have you Peter that he might sift you as wheat. He wants to beat upon you Peter. And when you're converted, but you know, I'm praying for you Peter that your faith fail not. Jesus is interceding and praying for you and I because there's a tendency within each of us to betray him, to develop idols in our hearts, idols in our lives that we wanna trust in and believe in instead of him. And at crunch time, when things get tough, we're gonna find out who you really believe in. We're gonna find out when you're leveraged that you're gonna lose your job, that you're gonna lose your house, you're gonna lose your pension. We're gonna find out who you believe in. The early church, all they had to do is pinch incense and say Caesar is Lord and they could live to fight another year and keep their stuff. But 6,000,000 of them in the first two centuries said, no. We're you we'll work hard, we'll produce, we'll be the best workers, the best slaves in all of the Roman Empire, but when it comes to Jesus, it's non negotiable. We're not afraid of you, Nebuchadnezzar. Our God is able to deliver us and he will deliver us. You've settled it in your heart and your mind already. You already know who you worship. You already know that his glory and his honor's at stake. And what a privilege it is to die for him. What a privilege it is to die for Jesus, to remind people of the cross, and how Judas went out and he wept bitterly, but he found no space of repentance like Esau. He found no space of repentance. He wept bitterly because he had a worldly sorrow. His love of the world, when he realized his love of the world wasn't gonna continue, that he wasn't gonna be on the left hand or the right hand of Jesus and all his plans and dreams and everything weren't gonna take place, that it was the end of America. It was the end of the nation of Israel under a unbelieving Judaism that was over. And Peter, he went out and he wept bitterly. But Peter, in his betrayal, in his failure, in his being beaten by Satan to be sifted as wheat, He had the Lord Jesus interceding. You have the Lord Jesus interceding. He knows your weakness. He knows your frame. He doesn't expect a whole lot from you and I because he fashioned us from the dust of the ground. He remembers where where he brought forth Adam. He's seen time and time again the the great leaders of faith, the Abrahams fail at crunch time. All he's gotta do is demonstrate a little famine, a little stock market reversal and Abraham's knees are shaking and he's down in Egypt lying and telling everybody Sarah's his sister, you know? Great man of faith wimping out with just a little test of a economic reversal. A giant of the faith. But our faith is growing, isn't it? All these little tests and all these little trials, all these times that we failed and betrayed Jesus, He's always so faithful. If we deny him, he cannot deny himself. He's there to pick us back up and wash us off and get us going in the right direction again. So a godly sorrow, Peter leads to repentance. And Peter came to that place of repentance, that place of restoration even though Peter in his pride thought, you know what? I I so so blew it. I'm gonna go back to fishing. I'm so unworthy to be a a disciple anymore. That's pride. You've never been worthy. You've never been good enough. He just reminded you and showed you your dependency upon him. He didn't choose you because you're the best, Peter. He probably chose you because you're the most foolish. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise. He doesn't share his glory with any man. And when he does use your life, Peter, he's gonna get the glory. Everyone's gonna know it's him. And when you go into new villages and new cities and you come on in and people say, hey, there's the celebrity, there's the fisherman, there's there's Peter. There's gonna be others there to mock you. They're gonna be at the Paris games as drag queens and they're gonna be going cock a doodle doo. Cock a doodle doo, Peter. We remember when you betrayed Jesus. At crunch time when he needed you most, he didn't need you. He doesn't need us. We think he needs us. We have the privilege of serving him, the privilege of being used of him, a great high calling in these last days. But he really, as my wife reminds me, he can use a donkey. He can speak through a donkey, Rick. So don't get so high and mighty, you know. Balaam's donkey, you know. Remember Balaam's donkey, Rick? Yeah. I remember Balaam's donkey. Alright. Alright. You made your point. Okay. Alright. What a privilege it is to be used of the Lord. He could use an angel to a much better job, a holy angel. One angel's gonna fly over the whole world and give the everlasting gospel to the whole planet during the tribulation period. He's got a 144,000, 12,000 from each tribe of the Jews that he's gonna mark, make them invincible, and they're gonna share the everlasting gospel. Right? He's got so many different ways. The two witnesses, they're gonna be sharing the everlasting gospel during half of the tribulation period. Right? And yet you and I are privileged in the church age in that the nation of Israel rejecting, betraying their Messiah, their savior as a nation. And the Lord sets them aside, doesn't he? He sets them aside so that he comes forth with a whole new wrinkle, a whole new thing nobody ever expected. Nobody ever saw a mystery once hid now revealed, which is what? The church, the bride of Christ, originating, beginning with the Jews. Who's the real Israel of God? Those who believe in Jesus. Jewish ethnic people believing in Jesus who is also a Jew. They're part of the church. And then it goes to the Gentiles. Jew and Gentile, but the priority is always the Jew first and then the Gentile. So blindness in part has happened unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles come in. We're in the church age. And we start out with the 12, the Jewish apostles, and and with Luke who's who's not a an apostle, but a doctor, a Greek, and and others writing the gospels and sharing the word of God and developing the canon of scripture and and going and turning the world upside down through the foolishness of preaching. And we watch we watch the whole Roman Empire, 10 waves of Roman emperors in the first two centuries trying to stamp out Christianity, trying to destroy Christianity, and they can't do it. It just flourishes just as it flourishes in Iran today. As though churches flourishing in persecuted nations like China today, where people are brought to a place where they have no hope, no hope in communism. That's a good thing. No hope in the Chinese government. That's a good thing. That means they don't believe the lie. That means their eyes are open. No hope in Mohammed. No hope in Islam. No hope in Iranian government, that's a good thing. Forces people to hope and discover the true living God. But we in this land, the Laodicean church, a church self satisfied, we set Jesus, we actually kick him out of the church and we just use his church for pleasure. I'm rich. I'm increased with goods and I'm need of nothing. And Jesus gives the proper evaluation. The church in America, no, you're wretched, poor, blind, and miserable. You're a wretched church. You're naked. You're poor. You're blind. You're miserable. But you know what? I want intimacy. I want you to come back into union. I want you to come back into fellowship. And although you've kicked me out of your church, I stand outside your church knocking on the door knocking on the door of your heart. That if you would open that door, the doorknobs on the inside. I don't kick doors in. The doorknobs on the inside. If you just open that door church, throw out your idols, flee your idolatry, flee your trust in all that pleasure and all that stuff and all that junk, all the blessing, you found you found yourself more in love with the blessings than the bless or. If you come back to square one. Remember how excited you were when you had nothing? When you're a brand new believer and man, you you didn't even have enough stuff to fill a suitcase. You you were a hippie. You were church surfing. I mean, whatever you call it, sofa surfing, you know, sleeping in your buddy's houses. Just working a tiny bit just to just, you know, whatever at church every night. So excited to be a believer. You didn't care so much about a career at the time. You didn't care so much about anything except getting to know Jesus. You remember those days? Remember when you're so radically in love with me, the Lord's saying? What happened? Well, Lord, us hippies became yuppies, and, you know, we we became the professionals, and we got really rich in the stock market and all, and and boy, we love the blessings. You really blessed us. Well, did it ever occur to you? It became like the very thing you were rebelling against as a hippie, looking for love? And you found that love, you found that intimacy in me, but now you've fallen in love with all the stuff, all the stuff that you said your parents and everybody were involved in. What happened to that? What happened to that abandon, that great abandon, that great recklessness for Jesus, being Jesus freaks? So many ways that we betray we betray him. And the religious leaders betrayed him and he was delivered to the house of Pilate who was excuse me, Anas, Ananias. And Ananias was, the father-in-law of Caiaphas. He's the previous high priest and he wielded a great deal of of power, Annas did. And then he was taken to the house of Caiaphas who is the high priest that year, but this was an unofficial visit to the house of Caiaphas interrogated at the house of Caiaphas with his servants and such. And then he's brought officially to the Sanhedrin to the 70. Three different trials that morning from the Jews, from his countrymen. What did they conclude? It's expedient that one man die to save the nation. The idolatry of the religious leaders. It's expedient that one man die, Caiaphas prophesied in John chapter 12 after Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. You think he'd have the attention of the religious leaders after raising Lazarus from the dead. You think that would that would be that would be enough. And, you know, I'm I'm struggling with the delusion of the times in which we're living and there's times in the weeks I agonize trying to reach people with the truth. They're just so delusional. It's so it's so clear to me. We live in a time of imbeciles, imbecilic time. And Jesus had the same difficulty getting through to people. So I'm kinda I'm gonna chill out. I'm not gonna be so worked up about it. You know? It's beyond me. Those that get it, get it. Those that don't, don't. I can't I can't force them to get it. I mean, his own people didn't get it. People of Nazareth didn't get it. His own family didn't get it until after the resurrection. It's gonna be a work of God's spirit for anybody to get it moving forward. There's so much misinformation and that's just the cute way of saying lies, deception. But it appeals to people's hearts. It's their hearts that are wicked. The the greatest deception is your hearts. The hearts deceitfully wicked above all things. The greatest deception is your heart, your unregenerate heart. We need a new heart. We need the Lord Jesus to work within us, deep within us to be like minded with him, to be Christ minded. Then he goes before Pilate. Pilate's wife said, hey, I had a bad dream about having nothing to do with this holy man, this guy. Don't go there. Don't betray this guy. Don't betray him. He's a holy man. And then Pilate for expediency tries to find a loophole and sends him over to Herod. Jesus answered Herod and his boys, not a word. And then he sent back to Pilate and Pilate is now pressured by the religious leaders. Caesar, this man claims to be a king. They knew for blasphemy was their charge against Jesus that he claimed to be God. But for the Jews, that was tantamount. Their punishment would be stoning. But they knew they didn't have that right of capital punishment. Only the Romans had that right of capital punishment because they were conquered people. So they sent him back to Pilate and Pilate and they get all the people to cry out, crucify him. Crucify him. Why? What evil has he done? Barabbas, the son of the father. Here, I'll give you this murder. Barabbas, take your anger out on Barabbas. Let Jesus go. And they're saying, no. Let his blood be upon us and upon our children. How prophetic. In seventy AD, the city be surrounded, not one stone remain upon another. And it does it doesn't, you know, cause Jesus to seek revenge. It breaks his heart. How often I'd have gathered you as a mother hen does gather a brood under wings, but you would not. Your cities left you desolate. Let them know the consequence of rejecting God, of rejecting the messiah. The consequences would be destruction. That his own people, his own nation would be destroyed. Not one stone will remain upon another. And Pilate says, I find no fault in him. And he knew that for envy that they betrayed him and delivered him unto them. And when the shepherd was smitten, the sheep scattered, all of his disciples scattered. Everyone betrayed him. All we like sheep have gone astray. We've turned everyone to his own way and the lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. All have sinned. All means all in Greek and Hebrew. Sometimes I talk to the kids, the grandkids in Swahilien. It all means all in Swahilien. All means all. You don't know what that is, do you? You must not be fun grandparents. You make up words. You make up stuff. It's you're speaking Swahilians. All means all. These guys stand up and they said, well, in the Greek, this means well, in the Hebrew, this means and then they come forth with a heretical doctrine, trying to act like they're smarter than you. Just get a w e vines, you know, concordance. Just dig in accordance even if you didn't twelve years of Greek or Hebrew. You can do it. There's plenty of study helps. You can refute what they're saying. You can show them there's no a there. In the beginning was the word, the word was with a god. No. Word is with god. You you j w has put that a in there. It's not in the original. You know that. All have sinned and come short of the glory of god. God makes us all guilty. Why? So that he can be gracious. Salvation is a free gift. He took the bread, verse 24, and when he had given thanks, he's praying to the father. They're partaking at the last supper and he gives thanks. And as he's given thanks, he knew we would betray him. As he's given thanks, knowing the cross awaited him, he knew all of us would betray him. He's not depending on you and I. He doesn't need any help. Even when he comes back at Armageddon, he's not bringing you back with a k 40 sevens to help him. He's not training you while you're up in heaven how to help him with a military arsenal to fight against the devil and the antichrist and the false prophet and technocrats. No. He destroys the devil later by throwing him into the lake of fire. One angel grabs hold of the devil. He's just a fallen angel. But he destroys the antichrist, the world's hero, with the brightness of his coming and the sword of his mouth. And the blood is as high as the horse's bridle, four and a half feet high in the Valley Of Megiddo, that of Armageddon. That's where it's gonna happen. God tells us ahead of time where he's going to subdue the world's heroes. In Revelation six, all the technocrats, all the utopian golden age you're hearing that term now, the this golden age that's coming. The new age, new world order, nothing new under the sun. They're hiding in their bunkers, their billion dollar bunkers in Revelation six. The whole planet's shaking, even their bunkers. And they're crying out, and they're trying to hide from the wrath of the lamb. And there's no escape, no escape from the wrath of the lamb unless you're a Christian. That's your only escape. Only through Jesus Christ. He's our escape because we're all guilty. He knew in Isaiah fifty two fourteen, his visage was so marred more than any man. His face was beaten beyond the recognition of a man. In Isaiah 50 verse six, he says, gave my back to the spiders and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair and I hid not my face from shame and spitting. What did they do at the cross to Jesus? What did they do when he was at Herod's house? What did they over with Herod or with Pilate or with the with the religious leaders? They put a bag. They put a blindfold on his head and they beat him with fists. The soldiers beat him. They beat him beyond the recognition of a man. What did they do? They pulled his beard out. They spit in his face as he's hanging upon the cross. They said, you, if you are the Christ, then save yourself. Come down from the cross. He saved others himself he cannot save. When you're in a trial, when you're hanging on the cross with Jesus, that's what the devil's gonna say to you. You made a mistake. God made a mistake. Why don't you save yourself? Come down from that cross. God didn't make any mistake. That that that cross was custom made for you. He's called each of us to deny ourself and take our cross up daily. Self denial, death to self. And he puts you in that trial. He puts you in that place where people are wondering if you're gonna make it, if your faith is gonna fail or succeed. Yeither I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I'm not gonna fear no evil for thou art with me. The Lord Jesus is with me in all those trials, those difficulty. He's been with me all the way. He's not gonna fail me now. We've come this far. He's gonna he's gonna take us home. He's coming for us. They beat him. And they beat them and they beat them. The plowers plowed upon my back. They made long their furrows. Psalm 129 verse three. The cat of nine tails. Pilate saying, let's scourge him. Let's scourge him. Maybe that'll satisfy the blood lust of the people. We'll scourge him. The mosaic law would allow only 40 lashes with the cat of nine tails with a lashing. So they'd give him 39 because if you went beyond 40, you'd be in trouble. But this wasn't a Jewish flogging. This wasn't a Jewish beating. This was a Roman beating. They could beat him as many stripes as they want. And the cat of nine tails is many leather, several leather strands with little pieces of bone or metal at the base of it, at the end of it. So it wasn't just the laceration of the top of the skin, but a deep going after the sinews of the body. That's why it says he is beaten beyond the recognition of a man. When John sees him in Revelation five, how does he see him? As a lamb that had been slain, still bearing the scars, still bearing the beating there in heaven when we see him? Because of love. It's his love for you and me. He knew and he gave thanks. When you know what awaits you, do you give thanks? Do you thank the Lord? Do you count it all joy? Do you count it all joy when you enter into these fiery trials? Do you surrender to the sovereignty of God in your life knowing God knows what he's doing? He knows the way that I take and when he's tried me, I'm gonna come forth as gold. And though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, Job said. No longer me living, but Christ living through me. I'm already crucified with Christ Paul said in Galatians two twenty. I'm already dead. It's Christ living through me. It's Jesus living through me. He knew. And even the apostle Paul's calling when he was on the road to Damascus and Ananias, the prophet was told to go him and show him what things he must suffer for my name's sake. What a calling. Paul, I'm calling you to suffer in my place. I'm calling you to fill up my sufferings. I'm calling you to bear the mark, the stigmata upon your body. You're gonna be beaten like I was beaten, Paul. You're gonna receive the cat of nine tails. You're gonna receive beaten with rods. You're gonna be in despair. You're gonna be naked and in peril from robbers and you're gonna be floating in the drink. You're gonna be floating in the Mediterranean for days. You'll be shipwrecked. You'll be in prison. You're gonna be unjustly treated. This is reality. And he's thanking his father. Why would Jesus thank his father? Why would he thank him as he's breaking the bread representative of his body gonna be broken? Why would he thank? The answer is Hebrews 12 verse two. Who for the joy that was set before him, he can see you up ahead. He could see me at the end of the age. The joy that was set before him, he endured the cross despising the shame and is seated down now at the right hand of his father. And he's saying, now, dad? Now? Do I go get my bride now? Do I go rescue him now? A little longer, son. A little longer. Are you sure? He's ready, isn't he? He's so excited. He purchased you with his own blood. And he wants that intimacy. He desires that communion. He desires a fellowship. He's gone to prepare a place for us. And if he's gone to prepare a place for us, he's gonna come again and receive us unto himself that where he is, there we may be also. You're not subject unto his wrath that he's gonna pour it out upon this Christ rejecting world. You're the object of his love to lavish his love upon you even in the ages to come. He knew it was all worth it. He'd go and sell everything he has. He'd take everything he has and sell it so that he could purchase you the treasure upon this planet, the bride of Christ. But he also knew the cost. The devil wanted to cheapen it. The devil wanted to wants to cheapen your suffering. The devil wants to come along and say, hey, you bow down and worship me, I'll give you everything back. I'll give you all these kingdoms of the world. The devil's offering you a way to bypass the cross. And Jesus said, no. No. It is written, thou shall worship the Lord thy God and him only shall thou serve. No shortcuts. I'm going by way of the cross. Father, if you're willing, remove this cup from me, your wrath being poured out upon me, but nevertheless not as I will, but thy will be done. For the joy that was set before him. Jesus, the bread of life. He saw knowing what awaited him and he gave thanks and he did it for us. He says, he break it and he said, take eat this is my body which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of me, the bread of life broken speaks of shared with us. His life given to deliver us. In John six fifty eight, he says, this is that bread which came down from heaven not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead. He that eat eateth of this bread shall live forever. Broken for you and I. His body broken. As we partake of communion, we pre break up the matzo crackers and we put it there. But in Jewish tradition, as you're eating, you would have a meal, the feast or the last supper, there'd be the pita bread, the unleavened bread there, and you'd break off a piece. I'm sure you've had communion at church where they send a bind, you would just break off a piece. His body being broken. You're just gonna tear. His body's gonna be torn. The plowers plowed my back. Broke me. Not a bone of him was broken though. Right? But he went through the breaking of bread, and we participate. We partake of that bread, and his life's assimilated into each of us at that meal at the Lord's Supper. Verse 25, after the same manner also he took the cup when he had supped saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood. This do he is off as you drink it in remembrance of me. And the Greek tense is keep doing this. The new testament in my blood, the new covenant, the Jeremiah 31 new covenant for the nation of Israel. As God's gonna refine the nation of Israel and they're gonna come into this new covenant. We have this new covenant that we've entered into. The old covenant was used of God to back us into a corner. If there was a law that could be given to make us righteous, God would have given the law. The problem is not the law. The law is good. The problem is us. Our frame. Our ability. We can't keep the law. We can't keep the 613 precepts. We can't even keep one. And if we miss on one, we're guilty of all. The wage of sin is death, but the gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So we have a new covenant. A new covenant in his broken body and his blood. Jesus is your righteousness. Jesus is my righteousness. Salvation is a free gift given to you and I by grace through faith alone. A new covenant. This cup is the new testament in my blood, ratified in his blood. A covenant being ratified. This do ye as off as you drink it in remembrance of me. So keep doing it. Not just from Egypt to Canaan but from sin to salvation, from death to life, from Satan's realm to heaven. Communion. It's a memorial service. We're looking back, we're remembering Jesus, his life, his death, his burial, his resurrection. We do show his death till he come. How do we come into union? Number one, we remember his death. Secondly, we respect his dominion. Respect his dominion. God gave dominion over the earth to Adam, and Adam forfeited the little g god of this world, Satan. But Jesus is taking back. There's a new sheriff in town, and he's the last Adam, and this is his dominion. This is his world. This is his universe, and you belong to him. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come. The word show means to proclaim, to announce out of respect for him. You're announcing. You're announcing the soon return, the glorious gospel. How could you preach the gospel without speaking of the soon return of Jesus Christ? How could you preach the gospel reminding people all the goodies, the good news? You get all the goodies, your best life now. But oh Jesus, don't come back yet. We're not gonna teach one third of the bible prophecy because, you know, that's doom and gloom. It's a bummer if you come back because then we're gonna lose our our jets and our big houses and all of our stuff. And we've got to con everybody. We've got to con them to get them to think that they can get this stuff too. If they get enough faith. I believe I believe I believe. Right? Faith and faith. We do show his death till he come. In Matthew ten thirty two, whosoever shall confess me before men, him will I confess before my father and the angels of heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven. So we respect him, living like him. We know that he will return. We have the Titus two thirteen looking for that blessed hope. It's a blessed hope. Oh, how happy hope. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Hope is a confident expectation. We're expecting. We're anticipating the soon return of Jesus Christ. It's not based upon emotions. It's based upon facts. We have the more sure word of prophecy. We know that we know that we know that his coming is at the very edge of time. That we're at the brink. We're so close looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing. His appearing not returned to the earth, not returned to his foot stomping down in Basra just yet. And then making his trek across Armageddon destroying his enemies, and then his victory ascend, his triumphal entry into the city of Jerusalem up the Mount Of Olives, not that yet. Appearing is in the sky, is in the air. The dead in Christ shall rise first. We that remain shall be caught up together with him in the air to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with him. Right? He's coming. In first John three verse two and three, beloved, now are we the sons of God. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is. And he that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure. Why is it so important? Because I'm sick and tired of betraying him. I'm sick and tired of failing him. I'm sick and tired of sinning and promising him I won't sin anymore and I won't do that anymore. I can't wait for his appearing. I can't wait that I'll know even as I am known. I can't wait for that day that I'll that he'll have completed that work that he's begun to me. That I'll be perfected in him and he that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure. There's a desire as I as I yield to him to be transformed and changed from glory to glory in the image of Christ. But I'm not there yet. I haven't arrived. And I will not arrive until he raptures me. Amen. Until I get my new glorified body. And that's a hope I have, a confident expectation that there's now therefore no condemnation. Those are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit that he that has begun a good work in me that he's gonna complete it until that day of Jesus Christ. That's my hope. My greatest enemy is me. I'm the one that takes me out, that ruins everything, that has potential to ruin everything. Even though I'm saved. So many pastors have fallen, so many marriages have split. So many of us that start out as Christians fail to reach the finish line. We're close. We're so close. Why would we fall now? The pressure is so great now. The pressure is so much greater to destroy that which is good. And then we look at second Timothy four, we see Paul saying, you know, I finished my course. It's a race and it's it's a marathon and he's been running and he knows he's he's close. Nero's gonna cut his head off. The time of my departure's at hand. They're they're gonna they're gonna take my tent down. This is a temporary boat, a temporary body. I fought a good fight. I didn't shadow box. I I aimed. I went after what I what I was, you know, going after. I haven't apprehended that for which I was apprehended, but I pressed toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I'm pressing toward the mark. I'm pressing toward the finish line. I'm almost there. He doesn't get to be raptured. He gets together, you know, through death. To ask him the bodies to be present with the Lord. And there's now laid up for me a crown of righteousness. And not only for me, but for all those who what? Who love his appearing, who are looking for his appearing. Jesus said, when you see these things begin to come to pass, then look up knowing your redemption draweth nigh. Looking up. We just show his death till he come. It should be so exciting to partake of communion each week, each time we come together, knowing the eminency, knowing that Jesus is coming. It's not a back burner thing and then we go on with our lives. It's no anticipation now. How then shall we live if we truly believe? All those who love is appearing. You do show the Lord's death till he come. We look back but we also look ahead. We're ready. Wherefore, whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. Unworthily means disrespectfully, irreverently. Invited to a wedding in Matthew 22 verse 12, but you're saying, oh, I bought a I bought an animal. I gotta go an ox. I gotta go train it. You know? I I can't do it. I just got I just got married. You know? I I can't do it. I don't have a wedding garment. That's disrespectful. Broken bread and poured out wine. They were disrespecting the Lord. Many feel that coming to the communion table, people don't take it to heart, the intimacy that God desires. We just go through the motions. We've done it so many times, it just becomes rote. We come into union. We remember his death. We respect his dominion. And thirdly and finally, we repent of any disobedience before we come to the table today. You within the quietness of your heart, you repent of any disobedience within your heart. Any area that the Holy Spirit has revealed that the Holy Spirit wants you to repent thereof. But let a man, he says, examine himself and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. That word examine means to test, to try, to prove. Galatians six four, let every man prove his own work. Verse 29, for he that eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. So your disrespect leads to sin and judgment. In second Corinthians thirteen five, he says, examine yourselves whether you even be in the faith. Many of us, we go through the motions and one day we may hear the Lord say, away from me, I never knew you. There's no intimacy, you that work iniquity. You know the words, Lord, Lord. He says, away from me, I never knew you that practice iniquity. So let him examine himself to see whether he's even in the faith. There's where you start. Am I truly a believer? Am I truly a Christian? If I die today, will I go to heaven? Or have I been playing games with God? Fooling people. He says, prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves how that Jesus Christ is in you except you be a reprobate? I mean, does Paul have to say this? Why does he have to admonish church of Corinth in second Corinthians? Here he's letting them know, examine yourself. Then he's saying it again, examine yourself Cause there's a whole lot of people that profess to be believers because they wanna be a part of the agape feast. They want the blessings. They don't love the blesser. They're there for the meal. They're there for the bennies. They're there for in John six for the happy meals, the loaves and the fishes. I want a happy meal. I want the toy. I wanna be one of those trophy kids. I get a trophy and just for showing up, you know. And Jesus told him, you gotta eat my flesh. You gotta drink my blood. You gotta come for intimacy. You gotta come for me. And it says many of his disciples, people that were learning, no longer walked with him in John six. They went away. They were just there for the Bennies. What's gonna happen to the church when the church goes through a crisis, an economic crisis? What's gonna happen when the the government takes the place of God and says, hey, come to the FEMA camps. We've got food, water. We've got everything for you. Yeah. You can be a Christian in a FEMA camp, but what if what if you're being leveraged to take a vaccine or take a mark or take this, that, or the other? Squeal on pastor Rick. Let him know where he's at. You get a bonus. Probably a worse punishment if you even know me, but in any event, the the structure, the the way that people were infiltrated in the area of the communist to infiltrate and tell on Christians and Christian cells and, you know, home churches. And that's why the early church lived in catacombs. That's why they had a way of, the ichmus, you know, the the the fish. You do one side and a person do the other side, and it was a silent way of identifying that, hey, we're Christians. So disrespect leads to sin and to judgment. You don't want the unsaved partaking of communion. That's why we always try to share the gospel, to get people saved before we offer communion. In the quietness of your heart, you can ask Christ into your heart and life even now, and you become a part of the body of Christ, you become the bride of Christ, and now you're worthy of partaking of the table of communion, of coming into union. You have access. Are you here this morning faking it? Do you know Jesus? Do you know him? Or are you just religious, a member, a player, a poser, a hypocrite, an actor. How do we know? We don't know. Only you know. Jesus said you'll know them by their fruit. A lot of us can play the role, we can be deceptive, we can play the games with people, but God knows and you know within the quietness of your heart, it's not a surprise. This holy spirit bears witness with our spirit that we're truly children of God. If any man have not the spirit, he's none of his. And so you know if you have the holy spirit or not. You know if the holy spirit's living and dwelling within you. He says verse 30, for this cause many are weak and sickly among you and many sleep. So in their disobedience, the ramification, the fruit of that, the consequence was many were getting sickly. They were weak. Even though they're going to the agape feast and they're drinking, many of them were getting drunk at the agape feast, drinking too much alcohol, too riotous living, too much partying, and then they go to the communion table irreverently, disrespectfully, and there's where the holy spirit would bring judgment where there's weak, sickly, some were dying. The word sleep speaks of dying. They're dying. Jesus wants communion with us. He wants the intimacy. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace upon him and with his stripes, we are healed. He wants you to come to the communion table table in the expectation of healing, that he might heal you, that he wants to bless your life, that he wants to bless your marriage, that as you forsake your sin, as you forsake your idols, as you as you cry out to God, God be merciful to me a sinner. If you confess your sin, he's faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness, the Christians borrow soap. Wash away all that filth. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's son continually cleanses man of all sin. Verse 31, for if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Disobedience ruins fellowship. You don't lose your salvation, but it hinders fellowship. But when we are judged, are chastened of the lord that we should not be condemned with the world. And so Hebrews 12, whom the Lord loves, he chastens and he scourges every son or daughter. Because God loves you and I, he's gonna chasten us, gonna spank us, gonna get us back into fellowship. His emphasis is not punitive, it's restorative. If any man be overtaken in a fault, you are a spiritual restorer such a one in spirit of meekness, lest you also be tempted. So we try to restore. We try to confront. We say, hey, you can't continue in this sin. You can't continue to live this rebellious lifestyle and call yourself a Christian. We qualify. We say, are you a Christian? Well and they say, yes, in affirmative. Then there's a standard of behavior. You gotta stop smoking the the pot, man. You gotta stop sneaking those gummies in during communion, during church, you know. God's gonna judge you, man. You gotta quit drinking the alcohol to the point of getting drunk. You gotta stop with all the idolatry and the stuff that you're messing with. It's hindering your walk with the Lord. The Lord wants your heart, but your heart's divided. A double minded man's unstable in all of his ways. Come circumspectly. Stand up straight. Come with your whole heart. He doesn't want half your heart. He wants all of it. He wants all of your love. He doesn't want a divided heart. He doesn't want to share the marital bed with somebody else, with some idol in your life. Some other master passion that that you think you have to have. He says verse 33, wherefore my brethren, when you come together to eat, tarry one for another. So minister to one another when you come together. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home. So if if if you can't allow everyone to eat in a manner where there's nobody lacking, then, you know, you rich guys eat at home. Don't bring food then devour it all and not leave any for anybody else. Communion speaks of charitableness. It speaks of sharing what you have. You guys have done a good job of that. Always food left over, so generous, so kind, all that labor of love that goes into your preparation of the food or the work that you do to buy the food, to bring the food, to think it through and bring it, it's it's been amazing. We enjoy Monday nights, the potlucks at Rob and Vicky's. We enjoy the picnics, the Christmas parties, and the times where you invite one and over one another over for lunch or dinner or go out and and share what you know, the abundance that God's given you to buy people lunch and stuff, people who may not be able to afford it. And, just the sweetness of Christian fellowship, gathering together to share a meal, talking about Jesus. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home that he come not together under condemnation and the rest will I set in order when I come. So there's more more to come. And when I get there, we're gonna I'm gonna teach you some more. So repent of any disobedience. Examine yourself. Don't rationalize. Now this is something that drives me insane. Don't rationalize. Don't justify. Don't excuse your sin. Past Chuck used to say, people that are good with excuses are very seldom good at anything else. Don't make excuses for Donald j Trump. You will make me insane. He is a fourth degree genius. Right? He knows what he's doing. So please, let each person be accountable for their actions. Every single person on the planet knows whether he's doing right or wrong. Any person can come to Christ and ask for forgiveness. People are dying. Over twenty million have already died from the jab. All I'm asking is for Franklin Graham, Amir Tesfari, and Donald Trump to come forward and say, we were wrong. This is a death shot. Do not bypass it and then act like you've got the glory years, the mega mega years ahead of you, the hats, the shirts, the mega churches now. Mega churches celebrating that he turned his head. God saved him from assassination. He's the Messiah. He's the chosen one. The craziness of all that. Rationalizing. Oh, well, you know, it's not my fault. She this, she that, she oh, yeah. I committed adultery because she no. Don't rationalize it. It's adultery. It's sin. Don't justify it. Well, you know, I'm entitled. Don't cover it like David did, and don't excuse your sin. Don't excuse a leader. Don't I mean, hold him accountable. It doesn't matter. It's a moot point. It's over. We're going to globalism. And hopefully, the rapture will happen before we see much of it happen. America's going down. It's not drain the swamp, it's America is a sewer, and God is gonna drain the sewer that's called America. It's going down. It's Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Lord's sending angels to check it out. But before he judges Sodom and Gomorrah, he's gonna take and righteous lot out. He's gonna take his church out. So that's my focus. That's my hope. Don't put your hope in any man. But let a man examine himself and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. Jesus wants fellowship to be one, to commune with you and I, coming into union with him and his church. Remember his death. Respect his dominion in your life. That he's not just savior, but he's Lord. That you're living a life of submission unto him. And repent of any disobedience, any area of your life, secret sin or otherwise or things that's happened this week. As you come to the table, the Lord reminds you and you just in the quietness of your heart, you agree with the Holy Spirit. That's what conviction's about. The Holy Spirit shows you the cross of Calvary, that Jesus' body was broken, his blood was shed, and you don't disrespect him by continuing in that sin. You confess that sin and you turn from that sin, crying out to God, God, enable me. Give me the strength, the ability to to to not continue in that pattern of sinfulness, mocking the cross, mocking who you are, calling myself a Christian, but living like the world. And if you're unable, if you try and you keep falling, Direct your prayer in a different way. Confess your inability. Confess your willingness. Don't promise God. Don't keep promising him what you're gonna do or don't do. You keep failing in that way. You're relying upon your own will. Confess your abject poverty. In me that is in my flesh dwells no good thing, Lord. O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death? And you cry out to God by his spirit to change your heart. Lord, let my love for you and my intimacy and the oneness with you be so much greater than what sin in my life is promising. Lord, change my heart. Create in me a clean heart, oh God. David cried out in Psalm 51, and renew a right spirit within me. This do in remembrance of me. Please turn to John chapter 19. John chapter 19. Jesus said, this do in remembrance of me. Would the ushers, come up and pass out the bread and the cup while I read this? Please don't partake till we all partake together. Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged him, and the soldiers plated a crown of thorns and put it upon his head. And they put on him a purple robe and said, hail king of the Jews. Thank you, sir. And they smote him with their hands. Pilate therefore went forth again and say it unto them, behold I bring him forth to you that you may know that I find no fault in him. Then came Jesus forth wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate say it unto them, behold the man. When the chief priest therefore and the officers saw him, they cried out saying, crucify him, crucify him. Pilate say it unto them, take ye him and crucify him for I find no fault in him. The Jews answered him, we have a law and by our law, he ought to die because he made himself the son of God. When Pilate therefore heard that saying he was the more afraid and went again into the judgment hall and say it unto Jesus, whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then say it pilot unto him, speakest thou not unto him, knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee and I have power to release thee? Jesus answered, thou couldest have no power at all against me except it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that delivered me unto thee has the greater sin. And from thence forth, Pilate sought to release him. But the Jews cried out saying, if thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend. Whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the pavement, but in the Hebrew Gabbatha. And it was the preparation of the Passover in about the sixth hour and he say it unto the Jews, behold your king. And they cried out away with him away with him, crucify him. Pilate say it unto them, shall I crucify your king? The chief priest answered, we have no king but Caesar. Then delivered to him therefore unto them to be crucified and they took Jesus and led him away. And he bearing his cross went forth on to a place called, that is called Place Of A Skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha, Where they crucified him and two others with him, one on one side, another on the in the midst, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title and put it upon the cross and the writing was Jesus of Nazareth, the king of the Jews. This title then read many of the Jews for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city and it was written in Hebrew and Greek and Latin. Then said the chief priest of the Jews to Pilate, write not the king of the Jews, but he said, I am king of the Jews. Pilate answered, what I have written, I have written. Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts to every soldier apart and also his coat. Now the coat was without seeing woven from the top throughout. They said therefore among themselves, let us not rend it but cast lots for it whose it shall be that the scripture might be fulfilled which say it, they parted my raiment among them and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary, the wife of Cleopus and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, woman, behold thy son. Then saith he to the disciple, behold thy mother. And from that hour, that disciple took her onto his own home. After this Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, say it, I thirst. And there was set a vessel full of vinegar and they filled a sponge with vinegar and put put it upon hyssop and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, it is finished. And he bowed his head and he gave up the ghost. If you're this morning and you don't know Jesus Christ, Christianity is a relationship. He wants intimacy with you. He wants you to be one with him. He wants you to come into union. He's praying for you. He sent the Holy Spirit to knock on the door of your heart to convict you of sin, to show you the cross of Calvary that he paid for all your sins, past, present, and future. And as you just read here, as you just heard, he said, it is finished. What is finished? Your redemption's paid for. He's died for the sins of the whole world, are all paid for, but especially for those who believe. You have to appropriate that free gift by grace through faith. It's his grace. It's his unmerited favor that he's bestowed upon you, and it's your exercise of faith, faith that he's given you to respond in crying out to him as you're turning from your sin. Your conversion takes place where the holy spirit comes into your heart and life as you receive Christ into your heart and life. As you're repenting of your sin, as you're confessing your sin, God be merciful to me a sinner. Jesus, come into my heart and life. Your life is transformed and changed. You're born again. You're born of the spirit. You're born from above. Anyone here this morning? Jesus died publicly for you. Will you confess him publicly? Just lift up your hand. It'll never be easier than right now to receive Christ. This is the easiest it ever gets. You're among Christians right now. Anybody else? Anybody? So the night in which Jesus was betrayed, he took the bread and he broke it. He said, take, eat. This is my body broken for you. This do in remembrance of me. And he gave thanks. Let's give thanks. Father, we thank you. We thank you that Jesus in knowing he was gonna be broken, knowing what would await him being nailed to the cross of Calvary, knowing all that awaited him, Lord, he thanked you. He thanked you that, Lord, this is the plan of redemption. This is the plan that his body, he'd be the substitute, that his body be broken, that he would die the wages of sin is death as he cried out, my God, my God, why has thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from my roaring, Lord, as you poured out your wrath upon him. He received that wrath. He received that breaking that he might purchase us, that he might go through the punishment that was due us, and that we might be partakers of him. So Lord, we're reminded of the cross, reminded of your love, the giving of your son. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Shall we partake? And after the same manner, took the cup and he said, this cup is a new testament in my blood for the remission of sins. As often as you eat this bread and you drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come. Jesus is coming again, and we're showing his death till he come. We're reminded of his goodness, of his love. We're reminded of what can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus. It's impossible that the blood of bulls and the bullocks could take away sin. Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and your sin, my sin, past, present, and future was dealt with right there when he said it is finished. What is finished? Totalist, I paid in full. Your sins have been paid for with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, not silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ as a lamb slain before the foundation of the earth. He knew it. He planned it, and he planned to save you. Your name is written in the lamb's book of life before the foundation of the earth because he's eternal, and he knew. He saw you up ahead, and he wants you to be a part of his eternal kingdom. He wants you and I to experience and enjoy the splendor, the joy, the blessing in the ages to come, his kindness being poured out upon us, and he wants a bride. He wants of you and I. What's he want? An expectant bride. A bride that's watching, that's ready, that's looking. Looking with with love in her heart that her groom is coming, that Jesus is coming. Let's pray, father, thank you once again. May we not have a divided heart. May we come into union, Lord. May we be all yours, no idols, nothing competing. We surrender it all. We're dead as you living through us. Lord, may our love for you grow and grow and grow. May we never be lukewarm, may we never be passive and indifferent to the things of the spirit. But Lord, may our hearts grow in fervency to love you with all of our heart, all of our mind, all of our soul, all of our strength in these last days, Lord. Pour out your Holy Spirit. Bless, we pray in Jesus name. Amen. Shall we partake? So I'm gonna I'm gonna share a song with you. Think we can? So it goes like this. Lest I forget Gethsemane. Lest I forget thine agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. You got it? Okay. So don't forget. Right? Lest I forget Gethsemane. Lest I forget thine agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. The Lord bless thee. And keep thee. Keep thee. The Lord make his face to shine upon thee. And be gracious unto thee. And be gracious unto thee. The lord lift up. The lord lift up. His countenance. His countenance upon thee and give thee peace. We'll see you here there. Here. There you go.
