One verse 10 through 17. Would you please stand with me as we read God's holy word together? Gave you part of the sermon already. Alright. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that y'all speak the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, but that you'd be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say that every one of you say that I'm of Paul, or I'm of Apollos, or I'm of Cephas, and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Gaius, lest any should say that I had baptized in my own name. And I baptized also the household of Stephanus. Besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Father, we thank you for your holy word. And as we as we prepare to study your word, Lord, we wanna lift up to you Sally and Alan and Ivan and Donna and anybody else that's sick, anybody else that's struggling physically, emotionally, spiritually that are at home. And we pray your undergird and strengthen. You you heal, especially Sally. She's having a hard time, James is saying. And you just part your holy spirit upon each of them. Comfort them and bring your healing touch upon their bodies. Thank you that they can rest. Thank you that they can watch from home. And, Lord, we just pray that you bless this service, this time as we study your word that you'd be our teacher. In Jesus' name, amen. Would you please be seated? In John seventeen eleven, Jesus prayed. Now we talk about the our father prayer. This is the our father prayer. This is John 17. The our father who art in heaven is a model prayer as the disciples asked, teach us to pray, and this is a prayer recorded in John 17 that Jesus is praying to his father. He says, so I come to the holy father, keep through thine own name those whom thou has given me that they may be one. Now underline, if you go to through John John 17, this prayer, underline or circle every time you see one. One. One. One. When we partake in communion that's coming into union, it's the oneness. No schism, no division. That they may be one as we are, that they all may be one as thou father art in me and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, and that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them that they may be one even as we are one. I in them and thou in me that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou has sent me and has loved them as thou has loved me. So the the Corinthian church was having problems. This letter is a letter to address. There was a previous letter that we don't have, but what we call first Corinthians is a second letter. And so the house of Chloe, Paul's in Ephesus, and he's hearing that there's problems there at the church of Corinth. And one of the first problems is that of divisions, of factions. And, Paul, wants to address that. They're having problems being one. So Paul sought to sought to correct, this particular problem, first of all. So be one. Number one, don't be divisive. I've been a pastor for almost thirty years now, and the greatest detriment to the church is when the enemy comes in to seek to divide and conquer, to ruin our koinonia, to ruin our fellowship, to try and get us to, for us to destroy the goodness. Not the enemy outside, not the state, not those that hate Jesus, but we, within, begin to divide into little factions, little little groups and cliques, and and we begin to gossip and slander and tear down. And and it's just a horrible, horrible feeling and a thing to to watch. It you you try as a pastor to stop it as much as you can to put your fingers in the dike, and and you just can't sometimes. It just the church becomes so sick that you have to stand back and let it let it let it fall, And then you regroup with those that decide to stay. You know? And those that don't wanna stay, they they leave, and they go find a place, you know, else that agrees with them better or whatever. And but it's tragic because you develop relationship with these people, and your children develop relationships with these people, and you thought that you loved one another. And what are we dividing over? Is this so great? Is this such a big thing? Lot of times, it's minuscule. It's a tiny little thing. It's it's just the smallest little thing that can just make you and I get filled with such pride, well, they're not listening to me. You know? Who do they think they are? You know? And you just get so puffed up and prideful, and, you got these warring factions against each other. And so he he says, don't be divisive. Verse 10. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind, in the same judgment. For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. So the problem is divisive people. The Greek, it's eschisma, and, to tear or to rip or to separate, based upon differences of opinions. And sometimes we need to divide based upon doctrine. If, if there's false doctrine being taught, and the pastor won't listen to, those that confront him, Anybody in the church is welcome to confront me if I'm teaching something that's heretical, something that's that's and do it publicly. Do it publicly. Shame me. Shame me before everybody so that others will fear. It's a serious matter. Doctrinal error is a serious matter. It's not something we just you know, it's a cutesy little thing. It's it's very serious, and it probably lead me to being sent to hell if I know I don't know. If I couldn't be corrected. You know? But it's serious. And you don't you don't just put those things under the rug. A church can get off course. And and so if the merchant thing comes through or wokeism or any of the things of the world try to come into the pulpit, try to come into the church, and you have a verse in the bible, you only need one verse or even half of a verse maybe, as long as it's in context, and and and confront me. If I ever try to put a, address on, confront me. If I ever try to put a woman up here as a pastor and give her a title as a pastor, confront me. Show me that that's unbiblical. You know? Remind me. And why would you do that, pastor? Why are you doing that? And so we wanna stay true to the word of God. And so there are things worth dividing over, but then I need to stand back and say, is that group of people, are they my enemy? Do they still believe in the same Jesus that I believe in? What if they have a bent toward, you know, a Calvinism, a hyper Calvinism? You know? And, should I should I divide from them doctrinally from that way? What if they have a post tribulation rapture view or a mid trib or pre wrath view of the rapture? Do I divide from them? I might divide from them. I would. From the from the standpoint of my responsibility as a pastor here. But it doesn't mean that I view them as an unbeliever or I view them as an enemy or I view them as someone I can't have fellowship with, someone that I don't want, anything to do with? No. If if the real enemy comes down the street, I wanna join up with them to protect our families with them arm in arm, you know, right next to each other. They're my brothers. Right? We we disagree on certain things, but we agree on the essentials. So in the nonessentials, liberty on the essentials, there's gotta be agreement, or or we're gonna have to divide fellowship. And so differences of opinion and contentions, quarreling, strife, debate, and many churches, as I as I said, still have these problems. A lot of us, they come and go in different seasons. What I'm learning at this stage of the game is if somebody comes in here and they start to gossip or slander to sow, you know, their angst against me or against this church or whatever, I've learned I've gotta nip it in the bud real quick. Because if I, in the name of love, allow it to permeate, pretty soon it develops a faction. And I've got a group on this side that's siding with that person. So Coradathen and Nabiram, Moses, you think too much. You know? And and the ground's gonna open up and swallow them. I know it is. But but but in any event, you gotta deal with them. Right? And and so you see through scripture different different instances where the devil tries to divide in that way. But I've learned as from a leadership standpoint, you've gotta you've you've gotta nip it in the bud. And so, and I've noticed also there's enough maturity here in many of you that before I have to go to the person, you go to them. And you've been able to talk to people and let them know that we don't tolerate that here, and that this might not be the right church for you. Now do it in love. Do it in love. But and give them space. Give them space to repent. Give them time to reconsider. But but if they persist in trying to be a divisive influence in the church, then they might be happier elsewhere. Right? And so the body has an immune system, and that immune system has to deal with free radicals. Right? And so those free radicals that aren't in harmony with the head, which is Christ, they need to be cut out of the body, cut out of this body, or they need to be chemoed. You know? They need to be whatever. And, you you can't peacefully coexist with cancerous cells. Right? So that's that's don't be a cancer. Don't be a cancer of this body. That's pretty strong language. Right? And so in Luke twenty two twenty four, there was also strife among them. Which of them should be accounted, the greatest? And so even among the disciples, they were fighting over who was gonna be the greatest when Jesus establishes his kingdom. And so Salome came, and she asked Jesus, hey. Could you put John on one side of you and James on the other side being a good Jewish mother? You know? And Jesus says, you don't know what you're asking. You know? Can you drink of the cup that I'm gonna drink of? And speaking of the cup of his wrath. Right? Oh, yeah. We can drink your cup. Yeah. No. You don't even know what you're I'm talking about. You know? And and so these positions are predetermined by the father, and they'll find out where they fit. But Jesus said, the greatest among you, rather than jockeying and competing and fighting of who's the greatest, the greatest among you be the servant of all. He says, the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many. And so he demonstrated in John 13 as he began to wash the disciples' feet. He says, if I'm your your rabbi and your master, and this is what I'm doing, you should be doing this for one another. You know? And so the disciples were were so prideful that when they came in off the street to celebrate the, Passover, the last Passover, the lowest menial job for the servant, the household steward, would be to wash the feet of them. They're coming off the streets in their sandals, and, their feet are dirty. They're gonna sit down. They're gonna eat a meal together. And that meal, the evening of that meal, they're gonna all dip in the same pot. And, yes, it's okay to double dip. And but you're gonna be getting germs and all other sorts things from in a in a communal pot, and there's gonna be a oneness that takes place in that group. So high hygienically, it's kinda cool to wash your feet if your feet you might have stepped in some something not good. You know? And so they gotta get between the toes and all that and wash everything, get it all nice. And then you come on in, you sit down, and and and you and you partake of a meal. Well, Peter says, no. You're not gonna wash me. Well, Jesus was illustrating that he being king of kings, lord of lords, the god you know, almighty god, that, you know, that he was willing to humble himself and to be a servant and wash their feet. And he said, happy are you if you do this. The greatest among you be the servant of all. It's it's the exact opposite of the world, always jockeying and vying for the uppermost, the uppermost seat, the best seat, all that sort of thing. And so so we see the son of man, the babe of Bethlehem, taking on the role of a suffering servant. Peter Peter's indignant about this. Well, you're not gonna just wash my feet. Wash my whole body. And Jesus says, no. He that is washed, and there's a play on words, Greek words of nipto and luo, he that is washed, you've already been washed in the blood of the lamb. He only need go to first John first John one one through 10. And speaking of defilement, it's speaking of fellowship. Fellowship is hindered when we have filth in our lives that we've allowed in, and we don't confess that sin under the Lord. Fellowship's restored as soon as we confess. So before you partake at communion today, as soon as you wake up in the morning, thank the Lord that his mercies are new each morning. Whatever it is you went to bed with last night that you didn't confess, maybe you got in a fight with your wife, your husband, somebody, or or in an angry manner disciplined your kids, and it's bothering your conscience? You know, set it right. Set it right before you try to come to church and hide it as a hypocrite. In your heart, right before the Lord, say, Lord, please forgive me. Please forgive me, Lord, what I just did. And then if we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteous. Fellowship's restored. You don't lose your salvation and regain it. Lose your salvation and regain it. Peter, he that is washed, he's cool. You only need you only need this washing, this tune up, if you will, because we're gonna partake and become one together and partake at communion and experience fellowship. And so God is holy. In Philippians two verse three, let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. So humility and being other centered. So we would say the secret of joy, if you're all bummed out all the time, if you're a quench, if you're a Debbie Downer or Dennis Downer, whatever, you know, the sky is falling chicken little and all that sort of stuff. The secret of joy is Jesus first. You took your eyes off of Jesus. That's why you're bummed out. Secondly, others. The acronym of joy. Think about others. Oh, I know. Your problems are worse than everybody else's. But go over to the old folks' home, which none of us qualify for because we're not that old. But go to the old folks' home and play your guitar, sing some songs, hold some hands, bring some cookies, who cares about their diet restrictions, put a smile on their face, and get get in a situation where you realize how good you have it. It could be a lot worse. So quit obsessing about, oh, it's me. So Jesus first, others second, and then yourself. Then yourself. That's the secret of joy. That's the secret of coming back from that pity party, blame game, whining, complaining. Nobody wants to be around you. Go get right with the Lord. Get right with the Lord. Life is not fair. Let me say it this way. Life is unfair. Get over it. Right? It's not gonna be right till we get with the Lord. Did Jesus live in such a way that he got fairness? No. He was victimized, a real victim, the victimization. You know? He was treated like a criminal, and he's the only pure holy person that ever walked this planet. In Genesis chapter 15, the nephew of Abraham, Lot, came with him, and he began to be blessed by being associated with Abraham and Sarah. And his flocks, their herds began to grow, and Abraham had gold and silver and huge flocks, and and Lot has his flocks. And so they became so big in the grazing area, you know, so critical that the herdsmen began to fight with each other and were filled with strife. They became divided. And Abraham said, it's not right. It's not right that we'd be striving against each other. We're brothers. And that's what we need to real we're brothers. The these people in these churches around us, we're brothers. If they love Jesus and they know the same Jesus that we know, they're brothers. And so Abraham says, you choose. If you go to the left, I'll go to the right. If you go to the right, I'll go to the left. So Abraham humbled himself and gave Lot first choice. And Lot, in his selfishness, began to make a series of bad decisions. Lot needed to be near Abraham so Abraham could provide the leadership to keep Lot from destroying himself and his family. And so he took the area. He looked in a fertile area towards Sodom. And as we continue to read, you know, Lot wound up in Sodom and Gomorrah and at the city gate, which means he was one of the leaders there. And his children never recovered, did they? And his wife didn't recover. She turned into a pillar of salt. Jesus said, remember Lot's wife. Quit looking back. And you guys know that that Lot asked his wife, honey, did you remember to turn the porch light off? You know? It wasn't very fair, but she looked back. And so he he wound up in a very sordid community, so much so that the angels that came to visit, you know, the men wanted them. He offered his virgin daughters. They didn't want the girls. They I mean, father of the year there. He got that too. Father of the year. And just a horrible situation, and yet God, in his grace and mercy, he reminds us that Ruth the Moabitis, that Ruth came from from an incestuous relationship between Lot and his two his two daughters. Amnon, the Ammonites and the Moabites were that illicit relationship when Lot was hiding in the cave, and the girls thought there's no seed left. The whole world's gone with the bombs coming down and the whole thing that happened. And and yet we see a guy named Boaz, a kinsman redeemer, a type of Christ, redeeming Ruth, a Gentile bride. And we we see the story there. We see the picture, the beauty of it there. And then we see in Matthew one in the lineage that she's listed there. And so the blessing of of God taken that which is putrid, that which is filthy, and able to bring beauty and wholeness and holiness and and forgiveness and love, all those things that come with knowing Jesus Christ. And so Proverbs twenty eight twenty five says, he that is of a proud heart stirs up strife. There's the key issues, the pride. If you're if you're always in fights with people, maybe your own heart is prideful. Proverbs twenty six twenty one says, as coals are to burning coals and wood to the fire, so is the contentious man to kindle strife. So when you're around certain prideful people, they're always causing strife. They're always arguing. You remove the person, you remove the coal, and and you've relieved the church body of the strife. So don't be divisive. He says, I beseech you, brethren, means to exhort, perikaleo, to come alongside, to to help a brother, to become one. We look at the apostle Paul. He's Saul of Tarsus. Nobody likes him. Nobody likes this guy. Everybody's afraid of him, and nobody wants to be near him. James and the the head honchos in Jerusalem, they just tolerate Saul of Tarsus. They tolerate Paul when he goes there in Acts 15. When he's, put in prison, they don't even go visit him. They don't care about him. Not at all. But there's a guy named Barnabas. Barnabas, son of consolation, encourager. And he seeks out this Saul of Tarsus as he's spending three years there sitting at the Lord's feet in the deserts of Arabia near Damascus. It's Barnabas that seeks him out. It's Barnabas that brings him into fellowship, gives him the right hand of fellowship. And then they're in Acts 13 at Antioch, and as they're fasting and praying, the holy spirit says, separate unto me Barnabas and Saul for the work where I've called them. And so they go on their first missionary journey, and they turn the world upside down. God's doing awesome. Great great great things. And then it's time to go on the second missionary journey in Acts chapter 15. Let's see here. Acts 15, you can look at verse eight 39. So in Acts fifteen thirty nine, Barnabas wants to bring his nephew, John Mark. On the first on the first journey, John Mark got a little homesick and wanted to go home, so he left the first missionary journey, went home. And so on the second missionary journey, Barnabas says, well, let's bring John Mark again. And Paul says, no way. No way. And it says in verse 39 that the contention was so great that they parted company. They divided. Can you imagine that? How could that be? These guys are brothers. They're examples. They're supposed to be the example setters. And so Paul decides to take Silas, and Paul and Silas go on that second missionary journey. And Barnabas takes John Mark, and they they sail over to Cyprus, his their hometown and all. Now later, the blessing is Paul realizes that John Mark's matured and that John Mark's profitable for the ministry. And so the apostle Paul was able to have fellowship with John Mark. But I never see again where Barnabas is mentioned having a meal with Paul. It breaks my heart. There's people that we grow up with in the church that are good godly men and women and families, and somehow the devil gets in there and brings division. It's sad, isn't it? Isn't it just sad? How is it we could be such great friends for a few years and then be so separated later? What happens? What's going on with that? It just breaks my heart to watch that in the body of Christ. It shouldn't be. It's a bad example, for the rest of the world. And then in Acts 15, there was a division over, should we, should we circumcise Gentiles? And Paul was very, very strong about this and went up to Jerusalem, made sure that they understood that this was wrong, contrary to the gospel. And and they had a meeting, meeting of the minds, and they determined James, the brother of our Lord determined with the others. Peter chimed in. Peter said, you know, how how why put a burden upon the Gentiles that neither we nor our fathers were able to bear the burden of the law, the letter of the law? And so it's grace. It's grace. It's grace. And by chapter 15, Peter had already been through the house of Cornelius in chapter 10, and the Lord said, rise, Peter. Kill and eat. And he already was a separatist, a Jewish mentality, and the Lord corrected him in that symbolic of the Gentiles. No. Don't call that, you know, unholy, what I've made holy. You know? And so, Peter understood to that point. He's growing in his understanding of God's dealing with the Gentiles. He saw the house of Cornelius, people get saved and all. So they made a concession. They said, you know, tell the Gentiles that they're not to, you know, they need to not fornicate so much. Stay away from fornication, sexual immorality, and don't be eating meat that's been strangled, and stay away from blood. You're drinking of blood and all. And that way, the fellowship will be sweet with Jews because, you know, typically, we don't even eat together, Gentiles and Jews, and so won't stumble the Jews if we do that. So they came to a a consensus of how to handle the merging of Gentile Christians with Jewish Christians. So the wisdom there. We also see in Acts chapter six, a division between the Hellenistic widows, in that they were they were bummed that they weren't, proper distribution of the food and the clothes and things like that for the for the widows. And so very wise, the apostles brought together Stephen and Philip and made them deacons, and many of them had Hellenistic Greek Greek Greek Jews so that there wouldn't be any, you know, stack in the deck or whatever. And then they were able to wait upon the tables, wait upon the administration of these folks, and it it quelled the storm. It kept the division from developing as people are getting greedy or or feeling, you know, misplaced or, hey. We didn't get this. So exercising wisdom in that way. He says, so to exhort parakleo, to come alongside, to help a brother, to be one, and then he says, joined together. And this Greek word means, made complete. It's a medical term, the joining of dislocated joint or a broken bone. So it's the resetting of a bone, a broken bone where, we've got a division here. So be perfectly joined together. Let's let's set that bone just right and allow for a period of time, for the healing thereof. And so the human body being knit together as one is the illustration there. And, so by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, so agreement in him, his will, his word, And so is our behavior, consistent with Jesus? I don't see where Paul and Barnabas could say that their behavior was consistent with Jesus when they were fighting over John Mark. You know? Give the guy a chance. On the side of grace. He he blew it. He's young. And Paul later would even admit he's profitable. You know? So I leadership, we make mistakes. All of us in leadership make mistakes. And we have to learn, we have to be reminded, and we have to resync with Jesus. We have to remember that it's about love and, minister to folks in love. So so three ways here he lays out to be one. Number one, speak the same things. Use your tongue to edify. Use your tongue to teach God's word. Be consistent with the word of God. If I stay with the word of God, I have a confidence that if there's a problem, the problem's not with me, the problem's with you. You don't have a problem with me, you have a problem with the word of God. But if I go into opinions, and what I think or she thinks or this other guy or whatever, and you disagree, then I've got a problem because I can't prove what I just said. I I can't I can't impose it upon you. I have to agree, you know, I might be wrong. So we need to we need to be careful, when we're speaking on behalf of the Lord as pastors to, stay with the word of God. And we as Christians stay with the word of God. What's the word of God had to say about that? And somebody comes up to you and says, hey. I think I'm gonna get a divorce. Well, why? What's the word of God have to say about that? Evaluate what the word of God is saying about that. What are your options in the word of God? Are you you know, what's your reason? Why would you do that? And so you you gotta go over it in terms of the word of God. What's God's word have to say about Christians wanting to have a divorce? Proverbs sixteen twenty eight says, a forward man sows strife, and a whisper separates the chiefest of friends. This is the number one cause of division in a church, gossip. Gossip's the number one cause of division. And James tells us nobody can rule this tongue. It's like a rudder. It's like a fire, and we gotta ask the Lord to help us to not get sucked up into and caught up into that of gossip. Now one of the ways that I've learned or or understood doctor Dobson talking about gossip years ago is like a tennis match. Somebody will come along and say a sentence. They'll say something like, that pastor Rick really thinks he's something. Now it's in your court how you handle that. If you send it back and you say something like, yeah, he's a real piece of work, you know, And then it goes from there back and forth. It's called roast the pastor. As you're driving home, your kids hear you roasting the pastor and the pastor's wife. Did she think that was a dress? You know? And look at her hair. How do they afford that? You know? Did you see the watch he was wearing? You know? It just tears everything down. Everything. And your kids are listening to it. And then, you know, I saw them at the grocery store. Did you see and it's just a constant constant gossip session. You know? That will that will destroy fellowship. That will destroy a church. And, you know, today, we're gonna go out for two birthday parties. It used to be, Kathy would say no to all these kind of things because you're vulnerable. People get to know you, and then they begin to gossip about you. And they gossip about your daughters and your kids. Do you know his daughter's got tons of tattoos? And, you know, anymore, I don't care. I don't care what you think about my daughters or my family. We've been here twenty eight years. I'm gonna be here after you're gone. I've outlived them all. That's what pastor Chuck told us. Outlive your detractors. Just outlive them. Just keep doing what you're supposed to do. When they come in and they try to rip and destroy and tear you down and all that, you know, just keep doing what you're doing. Just smile and keep going. As much as lies within you, seek peace with every single person. But I can't be at peace with every person that won't let me have peace with them. And so as we talked about the other day, if you wanna be popular as a leader, then sell ice cream. Give out ice cream. Let your sermons be ice cream. Everyone will like you. But if you're gonna teach the word of God and allow the holy spirit to bring conviction to people, there's gonna be people that get real angry and say, who told him that? How'd that get in the sermon? Well, I hear the gossip too, and anything I hear is going into the sermon. I'll get back I'll get back at you. I'll get back at you. It'll be recorded. It it's gonna be you're gonna be famous on YouTube. And if that don't work, here's what they look like. But you've been in churches. You've been at work. You've been even in in your families. You see how gossip destroys. It breaks the hearts of people. You betrayed me. You betrayed my confidence. You betrayed I thought you were my friend. You think of Judas, way that he betrayed Jesus, betrayest thou the son of man with a kiss? You know? And and so he says, speak the same things. So be consistent in the word of God. That's how we think. We allow the word of God to give us a biblical worldview, and that's how we think. That's how we speak. Secondly, of the same mind. So this is internal. Fulfill fulfill ye my joy, Paul says in Philippians two verse two, that you'd be like minded having the same love being of one accord of one mind. We want it to be about Jesus. We want everything to be about Jesus. We wanna be like minded that it's all about Jesus for his kingdom and for his glory. Now ministry, when I was at Costa Mesa and I was in school of ministry, they had a phrase there, ministry is more caught than it is taught. Some people just will never get it. They'll just never get it. And others are listening to the holy spirit. Jesus as Jesus said to the churches, he that has ears to hear, let him hear what the spirit saying to the churches. For some, it's just not a fit. It's just not a good fit. You belong in a Baptist church. You belong in a Pentecostal church. You belong somewhere else. And it doesn't mean that Calvary Chapel is better than the Pentecostal church or the Baptist church. It just means it's a better fit for you. So ministry is caught rather than taught. You gotta get in the flow of what the Holy Spirit's doing in the church that you attend and get to understand the the the heartbeat. What is it the lord wants to get through through that little body of believers? What what how can you justify the reason for your existence? What makes you viable in the community in which you're in? And so if you come into a church and you say, man, I've been going to churches for five years trying to find a church like this, and, I couldn't find one, and now I have, that means you're like minded. That means the holy spirit put you together, knit you together with maybe not a 100%, but on the things that matter to you, the things that are most essential. For instance, I wanna go to a church where they teach the word of God from Genesis to Revelation. You found one. I wanna go to a church that doesn't always beg for money. You found one. I want a church that's willing to be humiliated in public for the glory of Jesus. You found one. You see? And you go through all these churches, and they're got their scams and their schemes, and they're giving you the Pollyanna routine, Pollyanna Christians, and the ice cream, and the candy, and the cookies, and all, and you don't grow. You've been there ten years, and you haven't grown because you need the word of God to grow. And now your marriage is in trouble because you didn't get nourished. You didn't get fed. And you thought you were self feeding, but no. What you were doing is you were playing church. It was all about relationships. It was all about friends and having good times, but the pastor neglected to feed you. And now, spiritually speaking, your marriage is sick. Your relationship with your wife, with your husband, with your kids is sick. Why? Because you took your eyes off of Jesus. It's always about Jesus. And that's what we're gonna do here and continue to do is continue to give you Jesus. We speak the same things. We're of the same mind, and we judge the same, thirdly. Judging the same's external. It's in purpose and will. Do all for the glory of God. We're not gonna change the name of the church to the church of Rick Baudry. We're not gonna change the ministry to the Baudry hour. We're not gonna promote me and bring in publicists and people to take my 500 people that watched the sermon on Rumble and pay them some money and boost it to 20,000. We don't care. The Lord adds to the church daily such as should be saved. We don't want the Madison Avenue, the commercialism, or any of it to to try and promote pastor Rick. And that sounds sickening? It's about Jesus. We want to exalt Jesus. And if we lift him up, he'll draw men unto himself. We're safe there. It's a safe place to be. God shares his glory with no man. You don't need a pastor to be a Christian celebrity to identify with and boast in. Oh, I go to such and such as church. It's always about Jesus. When they get off and they become Christian celebrities and they some of them can't help it. They're just they're just so blessed. They just you know, they can't help it. It's like me. I can't help how good looking I am. I I can't help it. These are some things you can't help. I mean, it's hard to look this good in the state of Washington. You know? You work on your hair. You work on everything. You come outside. You get rained on, and your clothes smell like mold. And, you know, it's just like, god. Is it ever gonna end? Is it ever gonna be sun again? Am I ever gonna get a tan and highlights in my hair? You know? I know. We're the we're the community of greasy hair, and we don't care. So b one, don't be divisive. Secondly, b one, you've suffered with the same thing I suffer with. At a certain point, you just wanna shave it all off, don't you? This is like, what's the point of working on my hair in this weather? I hear Kathy say it all the time. She doesn't want one drop of water to touch her body. Can you imagine how insane that is living here? She thinks it's poisonous. It's poison in that. So she's got umbrellas and all this stuff and this and gets in the car and all that. Oh, well. So be one. Don't be divisive. Secondly, be one. Don't be divided. Verse 12. Now this I say that every one of you say it, I am of Paul, I am of Apollos, I am of Cephas, and I of Christ. So the clicks, the factions are developing. The church at Corinth says, well, I I I resonate with Chuck. I'm a Chuck. I'm a Chuckite, you know. I'm a Calvary Chapel guy. Yeah. Calvary Chapel is the best, man. We we're the best. We teach through the bible, man. We teach prophecy, man. Pastor Chuck's the best. The Jesus revolution, the whole thing, you know. Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck. I'm a Chuckite, you know. What are you, a squirrel? Are you a squirrel man? And then you got Paul. I'm a Paul man. I don't I don't resonate with Apollo. So you got pastor Chuck and you got you got Chuck Missler. Great at Costa Mesa. I used to go Missler Monday night, Chuck on Sunday. Had all these pastors, great pastor, all the time. And some say, oh, I'm really into Chuck Missler, man. You know, he's like Apollos. You know? Well, I got Chuck. He's like the apostle Paul. And then I got Cephas. Cephas, Aramaic Aramaic word for Peter. And so I I like Peter, man. I like fishing. I like how he likes to go fishing, man. And he's a fisherman. And Peter, you know, he's he's he's a big dude. He works out. He's he's he's really cool. You know? I like Peter. He puts his foot in his mouth all the time. He's the only guy that ever walked on water, man. He walked on water. And, you know, you're really into Peter. It's glad that you can resonate with pastors like that. That's a good thing. But not at the expense of division, you know, where you're divided apart from everybody else. And I'm of Christ. I'm of Christ. Why outdid you all? I'm of Christ, man. It's all about Christ. I'm of Christ. I'm not like you guys, you low lives, you carnal Christians that, you know, you're trying to emulate, you're trying to worship men. I'm of Christ. And so the clicks, the factions, we're just a little bit holier than the rest of them. And Jesus said in Matthew twelve twenty five, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. And so united we stand America, divided we fall. United we stand church, divided we fall. The devil hates you. Christians are being persecuted and killed and executed. You know, there's a huge upsurge in, Christians being targeted. And so I really believe that Donald Trump is gonna be that Judas goat. And and don't buy into Noah Yuval Harari or the Rothschilds that recently mentioned that if Trump's elected, it's gonna destroy the globalism. Trump is a globalist. What they're fermenting is division. They're creating a dividing of the country. And so he's gonna be our hero, but then he's going to be stopped. And when he's stopped, it's a learned helplessness and it creates anger. How could you keep him off the ballot in Colorado? Hey, he wanted a second time and and, and you guys aren't letting him, you know, operate. Hey, in DC, you're gonna put him in jail, you're gonna put him in prison, and things like that. And so he's rolled out so that we resonate with him, and they see each of us, they identify who all we are, and then we finally react. We finally get angry, and and our military won't help us. Nobody will help us. And then they have control of the military, then they do a martial law lockdown, and then they come after all of us red state guys, everybody that moved to Montana and Texas. We're safe here. We're under the radar. They don't know who we are. Right? Pretty cool strategy you had. Pretty cool. You know? You didn't run away. So I'm of Trump. I'm a Trumper. Be careful of that. Vain is the help of men. Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. Every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. We have a a lady in our community that posts all the Biden posters, the Biden everything, everywhere, and, she's got two little boys, and I don't see her as an enemy. I'm not gonna let the globalist divide me and get me to think that she's bad and they're bad and that whole thing. I don't care. They're parents. They have a they have a freedom to vote for who they want. But for some reason, if you do vote for Trump and you do move in a way of sovereignty, not relinquishing the sovereignty of our nation and giving up our country to the globalists, somehow you're the enemy on their radar. Somehow you're being demonized now. And so that's the that's the strategy, divide and conquer. Demonize those who believe in the constitution and bible thumpers and the word of God and all of that. Now you can be a a global Christian. You can have a global church that takes the money that goes along with the world. Hitler had his global church, his Nazi church. They took down the cross, and they put up Hitler's, you know, swastika, whatever. And there's a certain segment of the professing church that'll go along in that way. And then there's a remnant church underneath the radar that refuses to do that. And we're gonna be trying to trying to hide, aren't we? We're gonna try and live to fight another day. In acts twenty, twenty nine Paul says, I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. And also of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. So the strategy of the globalist is just what Paul's alluding to here. You're gonna have those that come from the outside to destroy, to divide the church there in Ephesus, and you're gonna have those within, which is called the controlled opposition, wolves in sheep's clothing, who come in and you put your trust and you trust them and all, but then they don't do anything to protect you from the globalists. They go along with it. They don't object to January 6. And and the mind boggling thing to me is, how has everybody forgotten that Donald j Trump owns the warp speed jab? How could you possibly forget that? How could you possibly think that this guy is for you when this is the greatest genocide in our lifetime? The amount of people that are dying and that will continue to die. It's mind boggling to me. So we need to keep our eyes on Jesus. We need the churches to awaken. We need the churches to wake up and collectively, corporately begin to call upon God rather than be divided and look for a human champion, a human guy that'll fight the globalist for us because we're being deceived. Clicks, factions. United we stand, divided we fall. Galatians five fifteen, Paul says, but if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another. So there you go. You go from the division to the civil war. You're biting and devouring one another. You got brother against brother in the civil war. Why? How'd how'd they get you to do that? I I just read of the, million people that have died in Ukraine. Zelenskyy thinks nothing of conscripting guys from 20 years old to 60 to go out there and fight against the Russians. Yeah. You guys go die. You guys go be wiped out. For what? For what? Wars and rumors of wars. World War three supposed to be starting. Everybody fighting against each other. The globalists need to blame somebody. And when Donald Trump emerges, they wanna blame the conservatives. One writer said, he he feels that Donald might be elected, just as Noel Yuval Harari said, and then they crashed the dollar. And then you are blamed for it. You are blamed. So the blame doesn't come upon Biden and his, you know, everyone that's that's crashing everything. So and Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Middle East, all these different nations are revving up and wanting to go to war. It's suicide. It's a satanic suicide that these globalists want to ferment nuclear war. Insane. We're not ignorant of Satan's devices, his strategy to divide and conquer. Be one. Don't be divided. Be one. Don't be divisive. Don't be divided. And thirdly, don't be deluded. These guys are talking along the lines of where Paul is ridiculing them in such a way like you guys are delusional. You're delusional to be doing this. He says, is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Little bit of hyperbole here. Little bit to get them to think. Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? So we got three questions. The first one, is Christ divided? Which means to a portion, divided parts handed out to the people. So did you take a piece of Jesus and send them everywhere? Is that what happened? Delusional thinking. The very thought of cutting off parts of Christ's body and then distributing them to various factions is absurd. That would be a satanic strategy to cause chaos. In Ephesians four three, it says, endeavoring means your effort. This is what you need to be doing. You need to endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. We want peace. We don't want war. We don't wanna be a part of a faction. We don't want brothers fighting against brothers. There is one body, you don't divide it up, one spirit, even as you're called in one hope of your calling. One lord, one faith, one baptism, one god, and father of all who is above all and through all and in you all. Second question, was Paul crucified for you? Absolutely not. Paul wasn't crucified. Second first Timothy two five, for there is one god and one mediator between god and men, the man Christ Jesus. The god man, the only only man, only his blood. Not Paul. Not Trump. Trump's not gonna save us And not the antichrist. Only Jesus Christ. We're looking up. We're looking for Jesus Christ. We're looking for his soon return. We see the pieces of the puzzle coming in. The globalists are going to take America down. It's a fact. It's in motion. It's happening. The question is, who's gonna survive it? How are you gonna survive it? Will you survive it? What are you gonna do? So for us as Christians, we look up knowing our redemption draws nigh. We look up because we see the tribulation period being set up, the pieces of the puzzle. What stands in the way? This superpower called America. And what's in motion? The collapse of the de facto global currency, the dollar is in motion. The sovereignty of America stands away in the way. The freedom that we enjoy stands in the way of the beast system. So God's gonna allow the beast system to emerge, gonna allow Russia to become stronger, China stronger, other nations stronger, and America reduced, brought down, and come under the the authority of the United Nations, the authority of the World Economic Forum, the authority of the World Health Organization, which none of us voted for. But you'll owe nothing and be happy. And that's the objective. That's what's happening. And we need to search our hearts and say, you know, is America an idol in my heart? Is our way of life an idol? Have we become the lay of the sea in church? We're rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing. Is it like Clinton realized it's not about morality. You don't hear any anybody anybody running for leadership crying out for the children being sex trafficked, the abortions, the immorality within America, the the leader in pornography, the leader in sex trafficking. Nobody's calling the churches to repentance. So it's always the money. It's always always the love of money, our way of life. And Donald is promising us that he'll get our way of life back. The same way Clinton had a sign in his office, it's the economy, stupid. That's all they care about. You fix the economy, and you can march this country toward globalism, and they won't even care. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there's none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Third question, were you baptized in the name of Paul? Certainly not. I baptized Cheryl in my name. Do you hear me stick my name in there? I baptize you, Cheryl, now in the name of the father, the son, the holy spirit, the name of Jesus, in the name of celebrity pastor from Bremerton, drum roll, pastor Rick. Paul's saying, certainly not. That's ludicrous. That's crazy. It's all about Jesus. Verse 14, I thank God that I baptized none of you but Crispus, the synagogue ruler, and Gaius, a host home that Paul stayed at. Verse 15, lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. Verse 16, I baptized also the household of Stephanus, besides I know not whether I baptized any other. So no Paul cult. There's no Paul cult. There's no Trump cult. There's no COVID cult. It's about Jesus. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ you've made of none effect. The cross rendered null and void. Instead, Paul preached the unifying message of the gospel, that we would be one. Come back to the gospel, America. Come back to sharing the gospel. Come back to what we agree on, that Jesus was crucified, that he's buried, that he raised himself from the dead, that he's coming soon, and we don't know when, but he is coming. Let's agree on these essentials and not divide over peripheral issues of the gifts. Are they operational today? You know? Oh, I'm not gonna talk to that guy. He doesn't think the gifts are operational today, you know? I mean, we divide over so many things. But when there's a common enemy that comes at us, now all of a sudden we realize, hey, that person's my brother. They're not my enemy. We need each other. We need to come together as a church, expose the wickedness, stand for righteousness, call the nation to repentance. Nineveh, the message Jonah gave was forty days and you're gonna perish. The Ninevites, who are foreigners, they weren't even the church. They repented, and God repented of the evil. He gave them a reprieve. The answer if you want more time, the answer is not a a political answer. The problem is not a political problem. That's just a symptom of the real problem, which is immorality. We've kicked Jesus out of the church. He's on the outside knocking. And we say, oh, Jesus, it's not about you anymore. We're so successful. We're rich and increased with goods in need of nothing. Jesus said, you're lukewarm. You make me sick. I'm gonna spew you out of my mouth. You have no power to stop the evil that's encroaching your culture because the salt is good for nothing but be trodden under the foot of men. Because it's idolatry. You fall in love with the things. You're comfortable. You're prosperous, but you haven't kept me first as the priority of your life. And he says, I counsel you. You know, your your your true condition, you're so deluded. Your true condition is you're naked, poor, blind, and miserable. That's your true condition, spiritually speaking. You've kicked me out of my church, and I still desire fellowship with you, that we'd be one. Open the door. Turn the knob. Let me in. I want fellowship. And I suggest that if we do that, he'll handle the rest. He'll handle the impossibility of these globalists, these Satanists getting away with what they're doing and slow them down. Maybe maybe more than just Henry Kissinger will die, and Rockefeller die, and Brzezinski die. They were waiting. They're dead now. Maybe Bill Gates will die. Maybe maybe a reprieve of twenty years will remove Klaus Schwab and these guys. How much longer do they have? Jesus prayed in John seventeen twenty one, that they all may be one as thou father art in me and I in thee, that they also may be one in us that the world may believe that thou has sent me. So the world is when they see the church as one, they're gonna believe that Jesus is was sent by the father. But if we're all divided and fighting against each other, the early church, 6,000,000 of them died by refusing to say Caesar is lord. All they had to do once a year is pinch a little incense and say Caesar is lord, and they could live to fight another day. But they were not going to be a part the cult of worshiping the emperor. Not not gonna happen. Not on their watch. But the worldly people, those of the world, marveled at how much the church loved each other. They marveled. That they all may be one as thou father art in me and I in thee that they also may be one in us that the world may believe that thou has sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them that they may be one even as we are one. I in them and thou in me that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou has sent me and has loved them as thou has loved me. God's communicating to the world through the unity of the church, the oneness of the church, the relationship that we have with Jesus. There's a picture in marriage, the two becoming one. There's a picture, the church, the bride of Christ, the oneness is a message to the world. You don't need to be be divided. You don't need to be separated. You too can come. The wages of sin is death. Death is eternal separation. Death is division. You're divided from God. But the gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, come. The spirit and the bride say, come. Let him that hear say, come. Whosoever will, let him come and partake of the water. Partake of Jesus. Be one, perfectly joined together. Don't be divisive. Don't be divided. Don't be deluded. Be one. We who were a far offer made nigh by the blood of Christ, the blood of Christ has made us one. Are you one with God? Why would you remain divided? Jesus came that you might be one with him and with us. The wages of sin is death, separation divided from God, but the gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And so his judgment seat becomes a mercy seat, and we can boldly come before his throne of grace, throne of mercy to find help in our time of need. America needs Jesus. And all we need to do is be in prayer and calling people to prayer to turn to God. Turn away from the world. Turn away from the world system. Don't put your confidence in princes. Don't put your confidence in men. Put your confidence in Jesus. Allow Jesus to heal. Allow Jesus to bring a oneness. To not allow the division. Not allow nation to rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, but to bring peace because he's the prince of peace. And then what's holding them back is you, the church, and they hate it. You're holding them back because you're a you're the salt. You're the restrainer. The holy spirit working through you is restraining evil. They'd like to move faster, but they can't because there's too many people awake exposing them. Too many people resisting. They can't govern without your compliance. They wanna trick you. They wanna deceive you. They want you to hate. They want you to jump on board of a hate group and fight against people and then shake your head like, why am I fighting against these people? I got nothing against these people. Become one today. Let's pray. Father, we come before you, Lord, and we thank you that we can partake of communion, that we can experience spiritually what we're being taught here, Lord, that that we as the bride, we as the church, that we have access, that we can partake of the bread and the cup, symbolic of the cross, symbolic of your blood being shed, symbolic of of the way back being made through Christ, you being the door. That, Lord, we can assimilate your body being broken, the broken bread, the broken body of Christ into our lives, and that that unity, that oneness, that communion that we experience. And, Lord, your blood, as we're reminded of the cross, the price that was paid, your love demonstrated at the cross Of Calvary that you paid for our sins, past, present, and future. And also, Lord, we do show your death till you come, the looking up, the watching, the being ready, wanting so much so, Lord, for you to take possession of this purchased possession that you purchased with your blood. So bless now, Lord, as we partake of communion. And before we do, if there's anybody here that you don't know Jesus, you don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ, the holy spirit's knocking on the door of your heart. The holy spirit's saying, I don't want you to be divided. I don't want you to be separated from me. I want you to be joined to Jesus, joined to the father, joined to the holy spirit. One God in three persons, not divided. There's a oneness in the godhead. And God wants you to be one with him. No division. And he's asking you to come. He's given you an awesome power of choice. He's not gonna force you to be one with him, but he's inviting you. He's calling out to you. He's crying out, whosoever will, let him come. And this morning may be your morning, your new birthday. Anyone here this morning, just lift your hand up. We wanna pray with you as you receive Christ into your heart and life. Anyone here this morning? Anybody wanna do it for a second time? A third time? Father, thank you. Thank you that we're saved. Bless now as we partake of communion. In Jesus' name, amen.
