In Jesus' name, amen. In case you didn't know that, she used to sing in the Mickey Mouse Club. One she's one of the one one of the originals. Yeah. Way back with me. Okay. I bet you her pastor never prayed like that. Okay. Alright. Alright. Verse one, and the Lord said unto Noah, come come thou and thy house into the ark for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. The Lord says, come. What are your favorite places that the Lord invites you to come? Take that word come and if you've got a concordance in the back of your bible, if you've got a phone with a dick, you know, a concordance. But Rob already has one. He's already thinking of Matthew eleven twenty eight through 31. Right? Rob's got that one down. Right, Rob? Come on to me. That invitation. Right? Laden. Right? I'm gonna give you rest. Take upon myself, yourself, my yoke, my yoke is like. Now that's an invitation. Right? So he's saying that to this whole generation of people. He's he's got a preacher of righteousness there for a hundred and twenty years, and he's not he's not saying that others can't get in there. Right? Because why have a preacher of righteousness like Noah, you know, building that ark if there weren't some people that God wanted to save. Right? Amen. And they when people don't come, when they refuse to be saved, what's the reason? Pride. Pride? Pride. Love their sins. Love their sin. Yeah. And where do you see that at, Vic? You read in John three. Okay. John three, real clear in John three. They love darkness rather than light, and it's not it's not they can't understand what you're saying. It's they will not. So part of the way they deflect is, look at this nut job building that big box in his yard. What's he doing? It'll never happen. Oh, it'll never happen. Right? Mhmm. And he's a preacher of righteousness. And fortunately, his wife, missus Noah, and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives, the eight of them get into the into the ark. And now contrast that with Lot's family. As it was in the days of Noah, as it was in the days of Lot. The only way I know that Lot's saved is Peter tells me is. I can't tell from the book of Genesis that Lot's saved. Come on, man. How would I know? How would I know? The nephew of Abraham. How would I know? I mean, look at his life. Look at what what's happened. So his wife obviously wasn't like Noah's wife. She was in love with Sodom and Gomorrah, she looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. Right? Mhmm. And Noah I mean, Lot didn't have credibility, enough credibility like like Noah did to keep his boys on point, you know, and help him build that and be a part of it and all. Lot's sons didn't want any part of it and his other daughters, but he had two other daughters that came with him. The angels, you know, raptured him out of there, carried him out of there. But you look at that and just how tragic with the story with Lot and how difficult it is for us today as we're inviting people to come. We're inviting people constantly. Come. Come to church. Come to Jesus. You know? And we're beating the bushes, and we're trying to stand strong and and proclaim the truth and all. But think of how the difficult time that Noah was having enduring a hundred and twenty years of skeptics and scoffers and just the pressure back against him. And now that we know what happened and we look back on it, we think, wow. That's not so bad. He did the right thing. You know? But in the interim there, the seventy fifth year, the eightieth year, the he's getting tired. You know? It's it's not always easy. And a hundred and twenty years of building, and and the lord's the lord's watching Noah, and he's and he describes him. He says, I've seen you before me in this generation, or he says, I've seen for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. What made Noah righteous? He believed God. Hebrews eleven seven, right, is proof. He believed. You don't think it's because he built the ark? Because he believed God. What if he didn't build the ark? Well, he wouldn't believe in God yet. He wouldn't be doing it with God. He would be faithful. Yeah. He could still build the ark and not believe in God. Right? Mhmm. What if he didn't build it? But he did. But he did. Did. Move him out. Move me out of that trap. Yeah. No. It's not a trap. You gotta think it through. What made him righteous? How do we know he's righteous? What's that word righteous mean there? He's righteous what? Because he fulfilled what God told him to do for a hundred and twenty years. Is that why he's righteous? No. Because he wasn't he was clean. Yes. Nightfall in the He said he well, that doesn't make him righteous spiritually. It was he was perfect in his generations we saw that he didn't have the DNA. Right? The he didn't have the Nephilim DNA. He had a pure gene pool in his family to bring forth the Genesis three fifteen Messiah, but the the issue here is faith. It's faith. We're gonna see in chapter eight verse 20, he's gonna make an altar. So I was I was listening to several different teachings on on this chapter, Genesis seven, I probably looked at five or six different teachings on it and and a couple other commentaries. And this one guy, must have been a real Nimrod, he tried to say that in this dispensation, the reason Noah was righteous is because he built the ark. That's a works righteousness. And he and he was making me really angry because as he began to try and prove his point, he was taking the Bible out of context and and I mean, how why are these guys on YouTube acting like they're bible teachers? You know? And that's just so basic. It doesn't matter what so called dispensation we're in. You know, we're dispensationalists. God working at different times with a different means of administration or way that he deals with man. So this is the antediluvian era, the the pre flood, noaic flood people, god dealing with them. But all the way back Genesis three fifteen, god indicated how how you get saved. You believe in the seed of the woman. End of story. You and they're righteous. They're the righteousness is pewter to them because they're looking future that one day Jesus is gonna die for them. They're looking future. So Jesus said, Abraham rejoice to see my day and he saw it was glad. Abraham believed in Jesus. Paul said the gospel is before preached unto Abraham. When I watch Adam and Eve come out of the garden, they're in coats of skins. When I watch Cain and Abel, Abel definitely understood what a blood sacrifice is. That's the gospel. They're being taught the gospel from the very beginning about Jesus. They may not have all the details that you and I have, but they have enough to that god imputes it under them as faith. And then I see you're bringing clean animals. Who knows what a clean animal is? We're not in Leviticus 11 yet. Somebody must explain what a clean animal that's worthy of of eating, but not only that, but of sacrificing because Noah's gonna build an altar in chapter eight verse 20. He's a man of faith. And then I can go all the way to Hebrews eleven seven and the bible tells me why. Mhmm. Because he's a man of faith. He believed God. And then and then I can say, he faith without works is dead. So the building of the ark is the proof that he believed. Right? Faith without works is dead. The works don't save you. The works are the proof that you believed. Right? And so it's the the but the faith, that thief on the cross, he didn't have time to get down and build an ark, but he's saved. This day you'll be with me in paradise. His faith was imputed to him for righteousness. He didn't even get down from the cross and go be baptized. Some people say you're not saved unless you get baptized. He's saved. It's faith. Right? So all the way through the bible, we have an inability to save ourselves no matter how good we are, no matter how hard we work, no matter what we do. And whether you're Noah or whether you're Lot, God imputes your faith in him to righteousness. And all these people had to do was exercise their faith in God as it says in Hebrews eleven seven, Noah feared God, which is a reverential awe of God. It's a it's it's it's hey, he's serious. He's going to judge the earth, you know. And there is a hell, you know, there is judgment. A lot of people today, don't they don't fear God and they don't have a reverence or a respect for God. So the Lord said unto Noah, come. Jesus said, Lazarus, come forth. Some say if he would have said, come forth, all the dead would have come out of the ground. Yeah. But he distinguished, he specifically said Lazarus. Right? And the Lord is specifically naming Noah. Noah, he's not inviting all of them at this point. And the Lord said to Noah, come, you and your house into the ark for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. And so what's another invitation that blesses you, the word come? All you who are weary. Yeah. I like that one. Come on to me all you that weary and heavy laden, I'll give you rest. That's the same one in Matthew eleven twenty eight to 31. Take my yoke upon you, learn me from meek and lowly heart and find rest in your souls. The name Noah means rest. That's a good one. What's another one? Come and see that the lord is good. Come and see that the lord is good. That's great. I like that one when they say come and see and he's not in the and he's not in the tomb anymore. That I like that. Come and see. Yeah. Oh, yeah. How about the disciples when they were going back to fishing in John 21, and Peter's like leading them and Peter's like, you know what, I blew it. I really blew it. So they're going back to fishing, their old trade, they all came there. They fished all night and caught no fish And then the Lord appears them on the shore. Children, you caught any fish? No. Cast your net on the right side. And they pull in the drought of fish and there's 256 or a 156 fish just burst in the nets. Burst in the nets. And Jesus said, come and dine. Come and dine. And he's fixing some fish on some coals there, you know. So you get to eat with him before at the Passover and man, it's brutal. It's brutal thereafter. Right? And now you're gonna have a meal with Jesus in this new glorified body And the Lord is not telling Noah to go into the ark. The Lord's saying, I'm in the ark with you. Come. He's inviting them in and Jesus saying to the disciples, come and dine. Right? What's another one? Come up here. Come up here. Come up here. I like that one. Yeah. I like that one. Yeah. The rapture. Come up here. Behold, I come quickly. Behold, I come quickly. So let's go to Revelation 22. Let's go there. So James pointed out Revelation 22 verse 12, and behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me to every man according as his work shall be. I'm the alpha, the omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Now look at look at the invitation here in verse 16. 17. Look at look at the invitation in verse 17. What's it saying? Go ahead and read it, Bernie. The spirit and the bride say, come. And anyone who hears this, say, come. Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink free from the water of life. And then down to verse 20, he who testifies these things say, surely I come quickly. Right? Yeah. He's coming. Suddenly is what that word means. Suddenly. And so we we we're watching. We're up on tiptoes. We're looking for the second coming. We're looking for the Lord to come for us for his bride, and we see the second coming, the signs of the second coming, and and we know that he's coming for us, the church. And anybody else before we move move forward? Come on, man. I'll draw an eye unto you. Amen. Amen. Praise the lord. Amen. Amen. And the Bible says, whosoever will let them come. Right? The invitation goes out for salvation to whosoever will, if you will, let them come. Right? Alright. And the Lord said unto Noah, come, you and your house. Now that's a blessing. I want my whole house saved. Ever since Kathy and I got saved when we were 20, we immediately tried to testify and witness and and lead as many of our relatives, our family to Christ. And God used Cathy mightily with her family, a lot of them came to Christ and my dad and my brothers and some of my family came to the Lord also. So that's that's very comforting to know that we're gonna see them in heaven but think about Paul and Silas in Acts 16 and the chains come off of them and the Philippian jailer is ready to kill himself. Right? He's about ready. Paul stops him. No. No. No. We're all here. And all the all the prisoners, they could run away but they're so intrigued. They're so captivated with what's happened. The ground shaking and everything. And what did Paul tell the Philippian jailer when he said, what must I do to be saved? I must believe. He said believe. Right? And he let them know that your whole house, your family. And, so they went to the guy's house and they're eating with him and he cleaned up their their, wounds and, his household, they too believed. That's that's a real blessing. No guarantee on your children. There's no grandchildren in heaven. They gotta come on their own. They gotta take the manna of life. They gotta take Jesus on their own. But fortune hopefully hopefully, they're falling in love. They're falling in love with the Jesus they see us in love with. And so we continue to pray for them. And but what a day that is. What a day that is when the prodigal comes home and and you know that, alright, my house is in order. I'm ready to go Lord. I could go now. But until then your house is not in order. Hey, there's there's still still people left outside the ark. So the ark is a type of Christ coming into Christ, being in Christ and we study that in the book of Ephesians how important the phrase in Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus. You're either in or you're out. You're either saved or you're not. So come down my house into the ark for thee have I sent seen righteous before me in this generation. So God's had plenty of time to test Noah and to get to know him and to see, you know, how obedient Noah would be. Later we're gonna see Noah sin like you and I. He's going to be naked and drunk, right? A lot of pressure on that guy and the boys are going to cover him and all, but he's not a perfect man when it says he's perfect in this generation, It's speaking of the DNA, it's speaking of he's not polluted, corrupted in that way and the righteousness here as I was as we see in Hebrews eleven seven, he feared God and he built this ark. He obeyed the Lord and so Romans one five talks about the obedience of faith. First John, he'll say, you profess that you know God. You say you believe if we say that we know God and keep not his commandments, we're a liar and the truth isn't in us. Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments. So obedience is a part of the expression of our faith and and then in John, he's also talking about those that practice sin, that commit sin, that are in a lifestyle, a pattern with no repentance but they profess that they know him, that's the type that's the Lord Jesus can say away from me, I never knew you that practice iniquity but they profess that they know him. And then in Titus, they profess that they know God, but in works they deny him. And so their lifestyle denies, so there is a disobedience that exposes them as those who don't have that obedience of faith. He says, of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by seven, so you're gonna get 14 of them. You're gonna get males and females. Thou shall take thee by seven, the male and the female. Isn't that interesting? There's a distinction. There's no in betweeners. God may in the beginning, God made them male and female. And there's no confusion about what a male is or what a female is. Mhmm. And there's no trans beast, you know. We're gonna we're gonna change Trans beast. Yeah. We're gonna train change their their gender, you know. How's that working for you? How are you gonna how are you gonna maybe the scientists today they play around with it all and you ever seen these men that that got surgery and they have a do they really have a baby in their stomach, a womb or something? I mean, pretty gross. Crazy. So every clean beast and you can go to Leviticus 11 to see the clean beast's cloven hoof and except for like a camel, don't eat the camel, one that choose the cud. And so in Leviticus 11, and clean beast, thou shalt take thee by seven. The male and the female of the beast that are not cleaned by two, the male and the female. So you're gonna have 14 and you're gonna have two by two by two of the unclean and of the fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days and I'll cause it to rain upon the earth forty days. So it hasn't rained yet. This is gonna be the first rain and sometimes when we're in the heat of our our winter here and it's been raining and raining and raining and raining and raining rain it won't stop, I I try to look for the old music. I in fact, I put it on the church answering machine one time, voice mail, Steppenwolf saying, who'll stop the rain? Put it on there. And they know I'm a nut job when they call this church, I'll tell you that. But it's a good question. Who's gonna stop the rain? And we're never gonna have a water problem here, drinking water. Bill Gates is trying to steal all the drinking water everywhere and live in the state of Washington, we do not have to worry about that. We can catch it. It's everywhere. So beasts are not cleaned by two and the males and the female of the fowls by sevens, the male and the female to keep seed upon the face of the earth For yet seven days and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from the face of the earth. And so this is the last call, grandpa Methuselah is dying and Methuselah's name means when he dies it shall come. So we got seven more days till it comes. Methuselah is dying and and so get ready. It's happening. And so the last call going out, the last call, I do a lot of hospital calls and sometimes I'm there with believers, sometimes I'm there with unbelievers. There's doctors, there's nurses, there's family members. I do the funerals. I have some that I've conducted with those who believe which are easy funerals and I've done funerals with believers with a whole household of unbelievers and and boy, do they get uncomfortable. Oh my Lord, you could cut the tension with a knife in many cases because when I'm invited to do a funeral, I always preach the gospel and I invite people to receive Christ and sometimes the unbelievers in the audience, unbelievers that are there, they'll even challenge whether or not their grandma was saved or their grandpa was even saved and I've had locally here when I did a funeral, The mom tried to get up the matriarch, the one that thought she was in charge and tried to stop me mid sentence when I was preaching the gospel, and it didn't work. I mean, it didn't work. I I kept going. And but when we left that place, Kathy and the girls and our little group, we stayed close to each other because we could feel the evil. We could feel the evil in that room of people that they just did not wanna hear that. And I did one for this guy at a nursing home that we used to go to on Sundays and share the gospel and minister a church service on Sunday afternoons. And this guy got saved. This old guy got saved. And when we did his funeral, he died later on, and we did all these hymns, and it's so wonderful because they're so rich and, you know, and they're they're years of walking with the Lord when you go to these nursing homes. And at the time, the activities director would allow me to go there and do that stuff. Well, at the funeral, one of the grandsons or whatever was just emphatic that his grandpa was not saved and he was so angry and all. And I said, hey, he got saved. You know, he got saved. And the last call, he answered the last call, you know. And thereafter, they complained so much the activities director sadly wouldn't let us go back there anymore. Ain't that sad? It's so sad. I mean, the last call. But k. What do people have to gain by rejecting Jesus? What if we're if we're wrong, you can go back to your hell, you know, but just give them a chance, know, take a step of faith. What do got to lose, you know? But as we said in John three, they love darkness rather than light and they will not believe. They they just refuse to. So I mean, even the demons believe and and tremble. Even the demons believe. Even the demons know who Jesus is. Jesus, we know who you are. Have you come to torment us before our time? But and the devil believes in God. There's no such thing as an atheist. Everyone knows. For he has seven days and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights and every living thing that I've made will I destroy off the face of the earth. And Noah did according to all, that word all, I circled it, all. We don't want partial obedience with God. We don't wanna do all, especially you get a list like this. I wanna fill I wanna check every box. Every box, you know. I don't wanna make any excuses. And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him, so the obedience. And, you know, the Lord tested Abraham, take thy son, thy only son, Isaac, to a mount that I'm gonna show you and offer him there as a burnt offering. Afterwards, when Abraham lifted the knife and was ready to go for it, Hebrews 11 tells us that Abraham figured that you're gonna have to raise this boy from the dead because Ishmael's not living before you and I know who I know where we're at. This is Moriah, Calvary, and I know that this this son Isaac, and Isaac shall thy seed be called, and, you know, my mental framework here is such that my human faculties, it doesn't make sense, but my faith, we walk by faith not by sight. I'm gonna obey you. And the lord stopped him and the ram was in the thick and all. But afterwards, the lord's comment on Abraham, we know that Abraham obey us in everything. We know that we can trust Abraham with what we're gonna, you know, with what we're gonna do because we've seen him under fire. He he'll obey and that glorifies the Lord when we walk in obedience like that. And Noah was 600 years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth and a hundred and twenty years building this ark and then one year of rest inside the ark. I don't know how much rest he got, but hopefully those out animals went into hibernation. Right? Can you imagine in Isaiah eleven two or Isaiah eleven twelve ten through 12, the wolf and the lion and the lamb and a child leading them. How did Noah keep all these animals from fighting each other? The curse wasn't reversed yet. Right? Now we know in the millennium the curse can be reversed. Right? Daniel, he shut the mouths of the lions. He shut the mouths the lions. Yeah. That's that's possible. Yeah. Definitely, the lions were shut for Daniel. So the lord did something with these the instincts in these animals for the lion not to eat a little lamb that's nearby and, you know, if if a fox or a coyote comes into the yard, what do the chickens do? They start screaming, you know. The kids, Shemham and Japheth and their wives, how did Noah get any rest at all, you know, in that ark? There must have been a lot of activity, a lot going on. Maybe they had some board games, you never know, and played some cards, got a flat screen TV, gaming, I don't know. Noah went in, so the Lord's inviting him to come. The Lord's in there with you. He's in there with Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego. He's in that fiery trial with you and this is the crowning achievement of your life, Noah. Everyone's been mocking you. You're really a very poor preacher by the world standards. Jonah did much better than you. And the other thing is the devil, the devil according to the world standards is a much better preacher than Noah. The devil was able to get billions of people to follow him. The devil only lost eight people. Eight people. And the bible says that there's rejoicing in heaven among the angels when just one sinner repents. God's measuring rod, God's evaluation, God's standard is much different than the world. He knows how precious a soul is, how precious just one person is that believes in Jesus Christ. He'd go and sell everything he has to purchase that treasure in the field, to buy that field because he considers you a treasure and his good thoughts concerning you are number more than all the grains of sand. The Lord does not look at in terms of numbers. He looks at it as individuals. Each person is precious in his sight and the way to eternal life is narrow and few there be that find it. So don't be confused by numbers and crowds and big groups. Look at the hordes of people that follow Jesus, you know, in the heyday of his popularity, healing people, casting demons out, preaching everywhere. Just multitudes of people. Right? And then at the end, how many were there at the end? Three. 12 scattered. They scattered. They scattered. Mom was there. The women were brave enough to be there, standing at the base of the cross. You know? And John the beloved was there. Peter was standing afar off warming himself in the enemy's fire. But when the shepherd was spent and the sheep scattered, where were those? One day they're shouting out, Hosanna, Hosanna, save now. And four days later, the crowd, the mob is yelling out, crucify him, crucify him, let his blood be upon us and upon our children, and so he's despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and we hid as it were our faces from him and and so don't get tripped up about numbers. One soul is precious in his sight and these eight here, God's gonna use them and their pure DNA to bring forth the Messiah, to bring forth a whole new and the earth is being destroyed so it's like a recreation after the flood. A whole new season, a whole new world is gonna spring forth. And and so hundred and twenty years, and Noah went in free will and his sons and his wife and his son's wife. So again, as we look at Lot, his sons thought he was a crazy man. They weren't gonna listen to him. He was just, you know, like, he's not a he's not an Instagram influencer, nobody's following you dad. You sit at the city gate and everybody thinks you're a nut job, you know. And we're not leaving here. There's never gonna be fire and brimstone falling from the sky, you know, and why don't you give over those two angels? Why don't you give over those two guys to the rest of us? And Lot is so filled with anxiety. He's like, take my virgin daughters, you know. And he was voted father of the year after that, but and Peter tells us, and righteous Lot, his soul was vexed, you know, day by day. And then I think of Jonah. Jonah didn't care one bit about Ninevites. He hated Ninevites. He was a he was a patriot. He loved Jews and he despised the Ninevites. And God, you get somebody else to go on this gig. I don't like these people. If I go down there and even one of them repents and gets saved, I'm never gonna be able to go home. My friends are gonna hate me. You know? I wear a red hat, man. Those Democrats are horrible, and I don't even wanna, know, mix it up with these Democrats. And so Jonah goes, forty days and you're gonna perish. What a message. And from the king on down, they all repented. And and Jonah wasn't willing at first, was he? But the lord free will, free agency, moral choice, God has a way of making us willing. God didn't have to argue with Noah. Now God had to argue with Moses. He had to argue with Jeremiah about their calling. God told Jeremiah before I formed you in your mother's womb, I knew you and I called you a prophet. And Jeremiah's like, send somebody else. I'm just a boy. You got the wrong guy. When God was coming upon Gideon, he says, you got the wrong guy. And the angel's looking at Gideon, and Gideon's in a in a hole because the Midianites would come and take all their food, take all of their crops that they would raise, the grain and all. They'd wait the Midianites would wait, then they'd invade them. I hear angels singing. I hear angels singing. And Everybody's okay. That's a nice tune. Okay. There we go. And so the angel comes and sees Gideon in the bottom of a hole, and he's threshing wheat. And the angel says, oh, thou mighty man of valor. He's afraid. That's why he's down in a hole. You don't thresh wheat because when you sweat, all the chaff sticks to your face. You know? You wanna get up on a hill where the breeze comes through so that it blows the chaff away and the colonel falls on the threshing floor. Right? And so Gideon says, you got the wrong guy. You know? My house, my dad's, and my family, we're the least. We're the least in our whole tribe, and and I'm the least in my father's house, you know, kinda like a David, you know, I'm I'm the I'm the I'm the youngest one. And when God's calling Moses, Moses, the first time he sends God's call upon his life, he's 40 years old, and man, he's he's it. He could be the next pharaoh. He's brilliant. Stephen tells us that in Acts seven. He's an eloquent man and got a whole lot of Egypt in him, a whole lot of brilliance of the world. Just like the apostle Paul concerning his contemporaries, he exceeded them all, but god has a way of emptying us of our confidence in ourself and so with Peter, with Moses, with Paul, with Saul of Tarsus, Moses goes out and spends forty years out in the deserts of Midian watching the sheep, tending the sheep of Jethro, his father-in-law, and he's about 80 and the Lord reappears. He tried to do it in the flesh forty years early by killing an Egyptian, that didn't work out and so now there's a burning bush and the Lord's telling them, you know, what he's gonna go tell Pharaoh to let my people go, and Moses is saying, I have a speech impediment. I can't even talk anymore. I I can't I can't even put a sentence together. It's been a long time since I've had a conversation with anybody. My wife won't even talk to me. I'm out here with these sheep all the time. And I came up with a million excuses. The Lord said, no. You will go. You will go and tell them. And so Moses obeyed eventually. Jeremiah obeyed. Peter obeyed, and these are men of faith and Noah is a great example of one who had a huge huge responsibility, huge responsibility. Hundred and twenty years. Nobody's ever built a ship like that. A coffin, a barge, big box, gopher wood, and pitch, and all, and all the specifications and all that. And and so his wife's and his sons and everybody got in there because the waters and Noah went in and his sons and his wife and his son's wives, what a blessing to be in Christ. One of my favorite things is to go to church with my family, always has been. And I got a daughter and a son-in-law who I'm praying for that they start going to church again. And then I've got another daughter and a son-in-law who have seven kids and they attend church with us sometimes. And my favorite days are when I go up there and I start to pray and I open my eyes after after praying over the offering. And then my favorite days are days where some of my grandkids run up there to do the pledge allegiance. And I'm like, oh, they're at church today. And it's so exciting to see them all dressed up and ready and I start thinking about where we're go eat, get to hang out today and and but I just love that they're they're with grandma. She teaches Sunday school and maybe missus Noah did that. She's teaching, you Bible studies and there weren't no children yet. But Noah and the time that they're together, it might be really tough outside. But being with a godly family in a home, in a place where Jesus is, he's in your home, he's in that boat, he's saying come, that's a good place to be. The storms outside there, it's good to be in Christ. Of clean beasts and of beasts that are not clean and of the fowls and everything that creeps on the earth, there went in two and two under Noah, under the ark, male and female as God had commanded them. So Noah didn't have to go catch them, the Lord brought them. The Lord compelled them to to come on in here and And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. So the the fish obviously don't have to come in. The fish are okay. And there was a trial at the turn of the at the end of the eighteenth century called the scopes trials, and the church was having a hard time with modernism. Modernism was creeping into the churches of of England and in The Americas, and they were bringing forth evolutionary theory of Charles Darwin and the church was wimping out and trying to give into what they called at the time a theistic evolution that god started everything and then and then let everything evolve thereafter. And Charles Spurgeon, was just really bummed out at his watch in the compromise and the liberalism that was taking place overwhelming the church at the time and it looked like the world was really intelligent, really smart, and that the church, the pastors, and Christians were kind of left behind. They weren't as intelligent and all and kind of like when your Christian sons and daughters go to college and they don't know how to defend their faith. Says And in verse 22, and in whose nostrils was the breath of life of all that was in the dry land died and every living thing was destroyed. Well, at the scopes trials, there's a guy named Clarence Darrow that challenged William Jennings Bryan and said, well, what happened to the fish? How what what happened to the fish? And if William Jennings Bryan, the representative of the Christian would have said, well, the fish obviously were able to breathe, you know, in the water but he didn't know how to answer Clarence Darrow when he's challenging, you know, about the fish. How did the fish drown is how he phrased it. How did the fish drown? He say, they didn't but he didn't know what to say. So he was profusely embarrassed and that's what happens with many of us when we don't know how to give an answer of the hope that lies within us, when we don't know how to defend the gospel, the apologetics, the standing firm upon the truth of God's word. If you only know John three sixteen, that's where you stand. You stand with a guy could come along and try and intimidate you and all kinds of pious questions and all and you just keep that come back to him saying like a young girl, a young girl I heard about and she says, all I know is for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. And then this intellectual, oh, well, atheist, you know, went after her again. She said, all I know, and she just kept staying with what she knows. And she won the debate. She won the battle because god's word doesn't come back void. He didn't know what to say. And there's a lot of people that wanna destroy your faith and they wanna mock and scoff at the flood and yet there's evidence concerning the flood all over every culture. 200 cultures have evidence of the flood on their hieroglyphics and their caves and their articles and Babylonian writings and all over the world this global flood is known by by cultures all over the world. This William William Jennings Bryan is sad the next day he died. He died the next day, the poor guy. What a bummer to lose that debate in public court and everyone to hear about it, and it was such an idiotic question. Well, how did the fish drown? And he didn't know how to respond. Noah didn't need to bring the fish into the ark. Right? You get it? Yeah. Went in there with an aquarium. He had a bunch of balloons and these goldfish inside these balloons. Yeah. Alright. Oh, boy. James, I tell you. I'll be glad when James goes see his grandma. His mom. His mom. James gonna go see his mom. Alright. So they went in two and two under the ark, the male and the female. We're up here at verse nine. As God commanded Noah by design as God described it, as God told him what to do. And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day where all the fountains of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven were opened. So the source of the water is from the deeps and this is the great abyss. There's water inside the earth, cavernous earth, and the fountains of the deep, the great deep, were opened up. And so when we look at Genesis one one and two, in the beginning, God created heaven and the earth, and earth was without form and void, and the waters covered the earth. And then the Lord separated the earth from the waters that covered and the waters that were underneath, and we looked at the word firmament in six through eight, one six through eight, and we looked at the definition of that was expanse, the expanse. And we as we understand it, God created the heavens because it's described as the heavens. And the heavens, the expanse, there's three heavens. The heavens that you and I breathe air, and then there's the heaven that's in space, and then there's the third heaven that Paul said he knew a man caught up to where God's throne is. And we see that separation, that expanse, and so when it talks about the windows of heaven were opened, we're like, well, is is a lot of the commentators are saying there was a water canopy and that it was a triarium and it allowed the vegetation and the people to grow real tall and live to be 969 years old like Methuselah and, you know, Noah's 900 here and and that water canopy, it blocked the solar radiation that would cause men to age faster and and to break down and all. And then as time has gone on now most of the guys, Miss Slurp, Chuck Smith, Waldron, Hugh Ross, all the guys allude to a water canopy. But as pastor Kevin and Mark and others are looking at nowadays, Others are are questioning that. We don't know for sure. But when it says windows of heaven, what's that mean? You know, they were opened and the later they're shut. So this expanse, this this gap between and it's supposed to be a hard expanse. So some are saying that the expanse is part of the earth. You got water below, then you got the earth, then you got water above it. And so the fountains of the deep is the main thing, and the Hebrew is bursting, it burst forth. And as Mark taught you guys in Genesis seven when I was gone and as pastor Kevin who does the hydroplate theory of Walt Brown, it's a theory that's gaining more and more momentum. But basically, the water the force of the water underneath burst forth through the Earth's crust, and this water went up into space, and that's why you see meteorites and comets and and part of the Earth is up into space. So the the the hydrogen bomb through 10 miles of crust, the crack that came around the earth and then it burst forth and the force of it going up into space. And so with these guys with the hydroplate theory says, no, there wasn't a canopy. What happened then was the water began to come back down upon the earth like a waterfall. Ezekiel 13 talks about how it came down with such a force that it could take a a wall, a whited wall, and, you know, break it off. So it's it's like Niagara Falls coming down, for forty days and forty nights, you know, upon the earth, the water that's coming back down. And then they explained that's why the woolly mammoths and the animals that were in a vegetative area like the Garden Of Eden that they were instantly frozen with food in their mouth because the water that went up into space got so cold that when that water came back down it it's like nitrogen. It's like the nitrogen where instantly freeze the fish so you can send it to market, and so they're instantly frozen. And and so rain hadn't happened yet. The earth would receive water from underneath with the condensation, the dew, and when I grew up in Huntington Beach, we'd have fog and that fog with, the dew would you wake up in the morning and all the grass, everything would be wet. There was no rain, it wasn't rain, but that's that's how they say that the, water came up from the ground and so this is the first instance of of what we'd call rain. Now again, this rain isn't the same kind of rain that we have today with condensation, small little droplets and the whole thing. Of course, we can have storms and wind and it can come hard. When it rains here, a lot of times it's just the small, you know, rain. When California gets rain, it's like it's dumping. It gets enormous amount of inches in a short period of time, you know. But this rain is like Niagara Falls. It's like it's it's forceful and bursting forth. So what do you guys think? When it speaks of windows of heaven, forty days now God's gonna shut those windows of heaven and Walt Brown, the guy say, well, the water is still coming up because we're gonna go to a hundred and fifty days. Hundred and fifty days of the flood, forty of it's coming from the sky. So then they say that the force that's coming up from below dissipates or is reduced but it's still oozing water so that it gets 22 feet higher than any mountain after a hundred and fifty days. So it's still rising. So what do you guys think? Do you think there was water out in space somewhere? Think there was water somewhere out there? No? Came from the earth. So all emanated, all originated from the earth, from the waters of the deep? That's why they find water on Mars. Yeah. Shot way out that far. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Okay. So just wanted to test you. Wanted to see. Because I'm not dogmatic on this. I'm not as smart as all those guys. So I'm trying to learn too. That's why I watched, like, seven, eight, nine, ten of them. And the hydroplate is a theory. It may be a better explanation, but the the rain came down, and I don't I don't quite understand. I could see I'm not as smart a scientist, the guys. I could definitely see how the water was forced up, and it pushed made comets which are water up in the skies, and then meteorites and part of the earth and boulders and all that went up, and some of that came down. And the side of the moon that faces us is all dimpled because so much of the rocks hit the side as it as as we see all the stuff, the holes in the moon. And and that water that went up, definitely, it could be that way. But any any other ideas? Any other teaching here? You guys are afraid. Why are you so afraid? Sounds good to me. Sounds good to you? Okay. So the founds of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven were opened. So it goes out and God opens the you know, if if I look at what I taught in chapter one there about the expanse, I talked about carbon and nitrogen, oxygen, the expanse being the atmosphere, the ionosphere, and there wasn't precipitation, There wasn't any rain needed at that time. God was watering the ground from the ground, and the hydrological cycle that we have now with the rainbow as the symbol wasn't active at that time. But I don't know. I don't know, man. I'm still wrestling with this. And so will I lose my salvation over this? No. Flood gates flood gates were opened and the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights which forty is the number of testing. So in Exodus twenty four eighteen, Moses went up Mount Sinai to get the 10 commandments and he spent forty days up there, forty nights. In Numbers fourteen thirty thirty three, Israel let's see here. Numbers thirteen twenty five, the spies spent four forty days in Canaan spying out the land. Numbers fourteen thirty three, Israel. They spent forty years and your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years and bury your harlot harlot trees until your carcass wastes in the wilderness. So because they didn't believe when the spies came and they wimped out, God says, alright, you guys that were accusing me of causing you to perish and your children to be in jeopardy. Your children are gonna make it in, but you're gonna spend forty years out here going into a circle. And then we've got the instance of Elijah in first Kings 19 verse eight that Elijah was used to the Lord to subdue 450 of the prophets of Baal, and then as he left the area of Carmel, Mount Carmel, he gets word from Jezebel that you're gonna be dead just like those prophets this time tomorrow, and so Elijah was afraid. He went from a mountaintop victory to being fearful, and he ran out into the wilderness and the Lord sent an angel and him eating angel food cake sustained him for forty days. I'd like to find some of that. You read it. Read it, Vic. It's true. Angel Food cake. I'm telling you. It was there. Yeah. Angel's food. And Jesus went out in the wilderness was tempted by the devil for forty days and forty nights. So 40 the number of of testing and let's see here. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights testing and the very same day entered Noah, Shemham, so this is repetitive from verse seven, we saw that they already entered it. Shemham and Japheth, the sons of Noah and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them into the ark. So they're gonna be a new creation. They're gonna come out of there born again. They're going into the ark, Jesus being a type of the ark being a type of Christ, you're in Christ. Also a type of the grave, remember Peter we read last week where the symbol of the ark, the baptism of water and coming up out of the grave, the ark could be construed or looked at as being a coffin. So you're in there, you're dead and when the door finally opens, Jesus being the door, the resurrection coming up out of the grave and a whole new world that God's creating for Noah and his family. Phinemambe in Christ is a new creation, the old things are all passed away and everything has become new. They and every beast after its kind, I'll notice kind, so we don't have to bring in 60 different kinds of dogs, bring in one dog and all those different aspects of that breed can be can be bred, you know, out of it. So it can be German Shepherd, can be a wolf, can be any of that kind, that sort. And same with cats, I guess, the cat kind. And so we talked last week about the number of animals it would take and how big the ark was and the ability there. And so every beast after its kind and all the cattle. So you got domestic cattle that are there after their kind and every creeping thing. The bugs, Bill Gates wants us to eat crickets and stuff like that. That's really not in the menu for me. Not what God would have us do, but there are some bugs that you can eat when you're in Leviticus 11. You can see that it's okay to be like John the Baptist and eat locusts and wild honey, and there's some beetles that you can eat that are high in protein, I guess. I always look at my choice of food as acceptable, okay, or what's best. I always go for what's best. So if I have an option of protein that's from crickets, cricket powder, and I have an option of a beetle or, you know, a locust, you know, and then we move on to a hot dog, we move to a hamburger, we move to chicken breast. I'm gonna take right up there that rib eye at the top there. That's that's where I'm going. And because because, hey, if I if I have a choice, if God gives me the choice, that's what I'm going for. So if I'm starving, obviously, I'll eat anything. And and I'll give thanks and ask that God makes it taste good, you know. But so anyway, clean, clean. Leviticus 11, clean animals, domestic stuff. Also salads, veggies, fruit, all different kind of diet for us. So the animals need to eat. We need to eat. Jesus ate, eating is good. Okay. So every creeping thing, so that's kind of freaking me out. Every creeping thing because I'm thinking like, do I have to eat that? That creep is upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind. So you got clean fowl and you got unclean fowl. And again, in Leviticus 11, you can see. Now if I go to Acts chapter 10, Peter's at the house of Cornelius and don't call something unclean that I've cleaned. So Peter's looking at a sheet of food and the lord's telling Peter, rise Peter, kill and eat. And Peter said, not not so lord. You'd never say not so lord because lord is lord. Right? But he's going, not so lord. I've never eaten anything, you know, unclean. And and the lord said, hey. Don't call something unclean that I've cleaned. So the lord's letting Peter know that we're under grace and you're not under those dietary laws anymore. You can choose to live under those dietary laws if you want to, Peter, but and don't treat the Gentiles as being unclean because the gospel's going forth to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Jew, Gentile, barbarian, Scythian, bonder, free, male, female, whosoever will let them come. So Peter had a good lesson there and I I'm glad that Peter later was able to eat with some of the Gentiles, and then when some of the heavies came down from Jerusalem, Peter disassembled himself from eating with Gentiles, and the apostle Paul went up to him, rebuked him for that for that for that hypocrisy, And and so they they saw the frustration of Jews with Gentiles, and how are we going to be a part of the church and and be together, you know, and and have communion, have fellowship and all that. So in Acts 15, they determined that no, Gentiles don't need to be circumcised. Why put a burden upon them that neither we nor our fathers are able to bear, which symbolizes keeping the law and even the dietary laws and 613 precepts of the old testament. And so they said to the gentiles, well, we just stay away from food that's strangled, you know, bloody bloody stuff because that is an offense to a Jew if he sees that, not that you can't eat it. And then Paul when he's dealing with food that's offered on the idols, you can get some really good meat from some of the butcher shops that are right there at the pagan temples because they might offer a cow but then big parts of that cow are available to the consumer to purchase some really inexpensive meat and Paul said, I I don't I don't care. I'm gonna buy the cheap meat if I can, but if I'm around you and that offends you, then I won't eat that kind of meat, you know. I won't eat meat that's offered to idols if it stumbles you. So exercising your liberty in such way that you don't stumble somebody else. So any event so after its kind, it refouled after its kind. And do you think there were dinosaurs? What happened to the dinosaurs? Dinosaur means terrible lizard. So reptiles, if we look at Leviathan or Behemoth in Job, Behemoth's tail is the size of a cedar. That's gotta be a dinosaur. That can't be an elephant or a crocodile. Right? And then Leviathan, who can put a hook in his mouth and bring it out? That might be a monster Nile crocodile, I don't know, but the dinosaurs are just so incredibly huge and we have the fossil record, geological record, and the fossil record of the flood and the huge huge dinosaurs, we we can see where like in Texas and some of the places the archaeologists can show where human footprints are right near a dinosaur where the dinosaurs lived and were. So men before the flood definitely lived among the dinosaurs. Right? We saw Jurassic Park. Right? We know that? And and so the flood wipes out most of them and yet they say in The Congo that the pterodactyl has been spotted there. Also, have to address dragons. Dragons are through the bible and all the cultures have had, you know, China especially, of dragons. Now dragons was explained to me that pretty much men hunted them to extinction. They hey. There's a dragon up in that big cave there. You know? The Lord of the Rings. Here's a big dragon. And over the course of time, the they'd have to be hunted out, I guess. A dragon is a flying serpent, and Satan is described as a dragon. Right? So symbolic of Satan. But what do you think of the dinosaurs? They didn't survive the flood. Right? Why didn't Noah bring in any of them two by two and all that? Could have brought them by eggs. Why did he bring in crocodiles? Alligators. So he's bringing in a lot of the serpents. I'd have left all the serpents out there. Hey, keep all the serpents. Let them die. I'd have been more selective. I'd have I'd have created an environment where there's no poisonous snakes and things like that. So there's a fossil record that the dinosaurs were drowned and crushed and sediment came upon them. So they went in Noah into the ark to into a flesh. Now in Isaiah one verse three it says the ox the ox is smart enough to know where its crib is and comes back home to its crib. So animals go out in the daytime, they're smart enough to come back to the barn, they know where the food is, right? And these people weren't smart enough to get into the ark but the animals were. The animals got into the into the ark. They went Noah into the ark in tune of all flesh wherein his breath of life, so they're smart. And they that went in went in male and female all flesh as God commanded him and the Lord shut him in. So God's the one that shut the door. No one didn't have to shut anybody out. Are you one that would shut somebody out? Do you think there's anybody that you could say you're going to hell shutting them out of the kingdom of God? You don't have that authority, do you? No. Your opinion. Jesus wasn't afraid to tell the religious leaders where they were going. Right? Your father's in heaven. Yeah. He he called them you brood of vipers. Who can keep you from the fires of hell? He knew where they were going. Right? And we we when it comes to judging, judge not lest you be judged, the word judge is krino, which speaks of condemning, and so we aren't in a position to play the role of God and determine if somebody's, you know, command that they're going to hell. Anybody can get saved. The thief on the cross at the last moment. Right? Manasseh is one of the worst yeah. Manasseh is one of the worst ever and the Lord saved Manasseh. So the woman caught in the very act of adultery, where are thine accusers? Nowhere, Lord. The devil is the accuser of the brethren. Neither do I condemn thee. It's that word condemn. God's the only one that can condemn somebody and so we leave the door open. Churches are famous for shutting the door to certain kind of people. If I go down to Kentucky, I was invited down there to start a church, my father-in-law pulled me aside and said, Rick, they still have black and white churches there. And I said, what? That's not Christianity but it's cultural. So I knew I wouldn't survive in that environment, that's not who I am. So so I did that really turned me off. So at Calvary Bremerton, it's really whosoever will, whoever wants to come. And when we're in Downtown Bremerton, it's even more pronounced. I had all the mentally ill people that nobody wanted because there's the insane asylum down there and all of the DSH mental people live Section 8 in Downtown Brammerton rentals. Did you know that? And they walk around. I've had them come in to the service with a shaw and a staff like Moses and walk up to the front as I'm preaching and Moses, you know, I've had everything you can think of happen. And I never told the ushers, hey, only a certain kind of people's welcome here, you know, We're looking for a demographic of people that are rich. Right? Never did that. Lord, whoever you want, black, brown, whatever, poor, and and we we got the people that it was so funny. You could watch people from other churches visit if we had a concert going on or something that drew them there. And then that when they'd see my misfits helping and people, you know, Gregory Gregory would do a court turn, you know, do this thing. And you'd see them look at their daughters and their kids like, come over here. Come over here. You know, get here. And Gregory would go sit down on a bench right in the middle of beautiful girls just sitting there, you know. He just and he hadn't shaved or or washed in in so long and totally off his rocker. So I never picked and choose of who's welcome, who's not, whoever the Lord sends. I don't study demographics. And his door is open. He didn't come for the righteous, but for sinners. He came for the lost. So we need to be very careful of being prejudiced. If God shuts the door, that's different. He's the one that he's the only one that can shut the door. We don't shut the door. And be careful of we we would call it cherry picking. People come into the church and they look like they got money and, oh, wow. I better go over there and talk to them, you know, and invite them out to lunch, you know. God said we're not to be respecters of persons. We're not to give preferential treatment, put this person in the best seat and all that. Simon the Pharisee in Luke seven, you know, he was he was bummed out because Jesus was entertaining. He was he was with a woman, an obvious heartlet, a sinful woman that was, you know, weeping over him, washing his feet with her tears and wiping them with her hair and a very expensive alabaster box of ointment. And and Simon the Pharisee is just totally indignant, like, can't be a holy man allowing this to happen. And and, basically, Simon, you know, if you're forgiven a $100 debt or a $2 debt, which one's gonna show more love? The one that's forgiven much, you know, and that's the one. So we don't wanna shut the door and you can see the pharisees, their whole way they handled themselves is they pulled their robes in close and they didn't want to even touch or be near a quote unquote, you know, sinner. And so that's why I tried to diffuse that whole thing of pastor Rick being a holy man. I don't wear a collar like a priest. Do you know that? And I don't have a ring like the pope, and I let my hair grow however it wants to grow, and I try not to talk in a holy tone. Oh, I try that. Wherever I pray, wherever I talk, it's the same voice, same inflection, same everything. There's no holy underwear that I wear. There's there's nothing like that. And so a lot of times I if somebody starts to gush about how beautiful I am or how nice I am or you're the best pastor ever, I diffuse that by saying, you like to kiss my ring? Would you like me to sign your bible? I try to bring them back down to the ground that, hey, we're all the same. We're all the same, and we all need Jesus. We're all sinners. So men like to have a pecking order. They like to have a sit at the gate there. Now when pastor Chuck had the hippies coming in, the board were upset because hippies came in dirty and no shoes on. And they just put new carpet in and the oil from their feet and stuff would ruin the carpet. So Chuck was furious with the that's maybe too strong a word, but upset with the ushers and the board and everybody that said they put signs out that if the kids didn't put shoes on, they couldn't come in. And so they were shutting the door on these kids. Chuck had emergency board meeting and said, hey. I'm more cared I care more about their soles than the sole of their feet. If you don't feel that way, then let's rip the carpet up and go back to metal chairs, know, whatever. And so they got the idea, they got the understanding. Now a lot of the churches wouldn't allow the kids in unless they cut their hair, bathe, washed, and and looked like a Baptist. So so there you go. And they did they it shocked them. They weren't ready for it, the Jesus movement, the Jesus people. So when I came there, you could just be whoever you are. There was no standard. There was no whatever. Come as you are. Just come as you are. And so it's appointed an all men wants to die and then the judgment. Death is when the door is shut for you and I. That's when God shuts the door is that appointment with death. The other thing I used to tell people is, if you have a pulse, if I can touch your neck and feel a pulse, God can still use you. God can use you at Calvary Bremerton. Let me see if you got a pulse. If you got a pulse, there's something you can do here. And so there you go. Alright. So the Lord shut the door. Now the shutting the doors protection, sealing. You and I are sealed. We're marked by the Holy Spirit. We have the engagement ring. And so God's shutting them in, shut them in, sealed, protected is what's happening here. And the flood was forty days upon the earth and the waters increased and bore up the ark and it was lifted up above the earth. Jesus lifts us up, right? Who wants to read Psalm sixty nine fifteen? Who wants to read Revelation three seven? Okay. Who wants to read first Peter three twenty? I think through 24, I'm not sure. Anybody got Psalm sixty nine fifteen? That. Okay. Jeremiah fifty one twenty seven. I'll do that one. Okay. Isaiah thirty seven thirty eight. Anybody want that? Isaiah 30. Jeremiah three twenty three. I'll take it. Job twelve fifteen. I'll do it. Okay. Revelation three seven. It's a good one. I'll do that one. Okay. And hook up first Peter three twenty through 21. 2021, I think it is. I got it. Okay. Alright. How about Psalm a hundred and four one through six? Who wants that? I'll do it. Okay. Eddie's got it. Boy, it's go time now. Alright. Revelation three verse seven. Come on, James. Church of Philadelphia. It'll be an open door. Everybody that week to do? Yeah. First Peter. Oh. Oh. Who's Revelation three seven? I got it. I'm the leader down the list. I'm there. Are you there yet? Hold on. I got it. Revelation three seven. Got it? Yeah. There you go. Bernie. Bernie's got it. Go for it. Revelation three seven. Write this letter to the angel of the church of Philadelphia. Oops. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. That's key of David. What he opens, no one can close. And what he closes, no one can open. Praise the lord. Praise the lord. We've got an open door. Jesus said to go and make disciples of all nations. Right? We've got an open door. It's go time. The the door has not been shut yet. Right? Hasn't been shut. The church age is still open. The church age closes with the rapture. And then the tribulation period has new doors opening where there's more people saved at the tribulation period. Innumerable multitude of people beneath the throne of God during the tribulation period. Alright. Psalm sixty nine fifteen. Let not the water overflow me neither let the deep shallow me swallow me up and let not the spit shut thy mouth upon me. The pit shut them out upon me. So Noah and his family are in the ark and they're not gonna drown. They're being lifted up and Jesus lifts us up. The devil condemns us. Jesus lifts us up. Amen. Right? Yeah. Jeremiah fifty one twenty seven. I got it. K. Jeremiah fifty one twenty seven. Yep. 57. Fifty one twenty seven. Here we go. Raise a signal flag to the nations. Sound the battle cry. Mobilize them all against Babylon. Prepare them to fight against her. Bring out the armies of Ararat, Minne, and Ashkenaz. Appoint the commander and bring a multitude of horses like swarming locusts. That that verse is for next week in chapter eight, a Mount Ararat when we get there. So just just hold on to that one for next week. Alright? Okay. Jeremiah three twenty three. Jeremiah three twenty three. Truly in vain is salvation hope for from the hill and from the multitude of mountains. So we're gonna see a universal flood here in the next couple verses even going over not a localized flood, a universal flood encompassing the entire planet including the mountains, '22 feet above the highest peak mountain. So we're gonna see where the arc settles at Ararat, which today is just under 17,000 feet elevation so high up that it has ice caps and stuff on it. And so Walt Brown's hydro theory explanation of this is that the height there were more lower mountains, more like hills and stuff until the tectonic plates began to slide, move on the water at when the flood was dissipating, when the flood was eroding, you know, coming off. And then the the continents were formed and mountains were formed as they're hitting and the pressure of the water coming up. And the Grace Lake and Hopi Lake above where the Grand Canyon stands today, bursting open and carving not the not the Colorado River over millions of years, but bursting over like a funnel effect of water going through like a funnel at really high pressure and bursting out the, you know, the Grand Canyon and other canyons and and the whole changing geologically the the granite, the limestone, the layers of coal, the layers of fossils, all that happened with the sedimentary sedimentation of the as a result of a universal flood. Alright. So Isaiah thirty seven thirty eight. Thirty seven thirty eight. I need that 38. Excuse me. Thirty seven thirty eight. It might be for next week. It's in the other column, so we'll see. And it came to pass as he was worshiping in the house of Zechra, his god, that Adremelich and Shirazi, his son, smote him with the sword and they escaped into the land of Ammoniah and Iser Haden, his son reigned in the in his stead. Is that Oh, that's for next week. What basically, what's happening there is we're looking at the area of Arat that the location is of Turkey, Russia, and Armenia. And so these verse the verses like you and Bernie had point out documenting the location of of Ararat. Where's Ararat? Okay. So that's for next week. Job twelve fifteen. Behold, he withholdeth the waters and they dry up. Also, he sendeth them out and they overturn the earth. Praise the Lord. So he withholds and he sends them out. They overflow the whole earth. Alrighty. Did I oh, in Psalm a hundred and four one through six. Bless the lord, oh my soul, oh lord my god, thou art very great. Thou art clothed with honor and majesty, who covers thyself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters, who maketh the clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind, and maketh his angels spirits as ministers of flaming fire, who laid the foundations of the earth that it should not be removed forever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment. The waters stood above the mountains. Praise the Lord. And so now we're reading in verse did I leave everybody out? Yeah. Okay. Peter? Go ahead. Peter chapter three one twenty through 22. Sure. Which sometimes were disobedient with once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a was a preparing wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The light figure whereunto even baptism does also now save us, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is on the right hand of the God on the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. So so Peter uses the ark as a symbolism, as a type of salvation, going under the water in baptism, coming up out of it, a new creation, and being in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the door. There's one way in. No way out until the doors open back up, he shuts the door. Alright. So, and the flood was forty days upon the earth and the waters increased and bore up the ark and it was lifted up above the earth and the waters prevailed. We're can say that word prevailed three times. And the waters prevailed and were increased greatly upon the earth and the ark went upon the face of the water. So we're starting out in the area of Mesopotamia which would be present day like Iraq and where many people feel the Garden of Eden was in that in that region, and then gonna wind up in the area of Armenia, Turkey, parts part of Russia maybe, also included in that in that region of Ararat. And so it's not only gonna come up beyond the face of the water, but it's also gonna sail a bit. Doesn't have any propulsion and all, but probably pushed along by current and or wind or whatever, but it's out there for a year so there's it's drifting over and it's gonna be put in the exact spot that God wants it, makes it hard for everybody to go up there and tear it apart, right? And and so the waters prevailed and were increased greatly upon the earth and the ark went up upon the face of the waters and the waters prevailed exceedingly. So no one and his family quite possibly could get out as the waters are starting to dissipate and then not necessarily be 17,000 feet up on Ararat just yet, but part of the changing of the topography of the earth even after they get out is understandable. I mean, things could start moving continental shelf and the Mediterranean forming, the Arctic, the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific. So the waters are dissipating. They're finding their spots and their caverns and places where the Lord's positioning and making the new earth as they come out. Alright. So you got the mountain ranges and volcanic area and all of it. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth and all the high hills that were under the whole heaven were covered. So this one of the things people refute, they say, you know, where'd you get enough water to cover all the height of the of the, you know, the mountain ranges and all that? And apparently there's even presently with the mountain ranges and all, there's still enough water to cover it all. There's so much water. 75 I guess is water. The whole heaven were covered. 15 cubits upwards, so a cubit being 18, so 22 feet high above the highest point. 15 cubits upward did the waters prevail and the mountains were were covered. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of beast and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth and every man. And so there's a geological record, and there's a fossil record that confirms all this, and 200 cultures that confirm a global flood, and all whose nostrils was the breath of life. And that's where that Clarence Darrow asked the question at the scopes trial, well, how'd the fish drown? And William Jennings Bryan didn't know how to answer it like a deer in the headlights. They didn't. And whose nostrils was the breath of life and all that was in the dry land died. So huge funeral. Huge huge huge funeral. And every and now in the the war of Armageddon in the tribulation period, you're gonna see billions of people dying again and huge funerals and carnivorous birds coming to feast upon them. And later we're gonna see ravens sent out which would eat flesh and we'll see doves sent out that don't eat flesh that come back. And so plenty of carcasses there. In whose nautils was the breath of life and all that was in the land died and every living thing was destroyed. And this word destroyed speaks of blotted out, Erased is another word and you and I never need fear that our name is blotted out of the lamb's book of life, never be destroyed. Which was upon the face of the ground of both man and cattle and creeping thing and the fowls of the heavens and they were destroyed from the earth and no only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark. And the waters again, our word prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days. So we'll look at the so forty days of rain and then that was shut, but the water from the deep kept going. So total of a hundred and fifty days and we're gonna get to the year mark, a little over a year that no one and his family are gonna spend inside the ark. So they need half a year for the waters to abate and stuff and things happen. And so that's the any questions or comments about that? Rob and Vicky are going on vacation so we won't have a bible study here next Monday, and we'll see you the following Monday. We'll pick it up in Genesis chapter eight. And so any other flood flood things that maybe you wanna let us know about? Catastrophic. Catastrophic. The Greek word for flood is catastrophic. It's where we get our word catastrophic. The Hebrew word is and it's different than the other word that the Hebrew uses for a flood. When it's mabul, it's always speaking of the Noahic flood. It's a catastrophic, as Rob said, big kahuna flood. Alright. Well, let's pray. Father, thank you that we could meet, that we could gather in your name, that we could wrestle through the scriptures here, Lord. And we take the English language and we look at the Hebrew and the Greek and we look at cross referencing and we try to make sense of what's going on scientifically in every way but bottom line we know that we need to be in Christ. We need to get in the boat and that there's only one way Lord and that's through your son Jesus Christ. And so Lord we thank you for the spiritual lessons that we learned here and Lord we pray that you would continue to equip us to be able to dialogue as pastor Kevin is and Mark and others that have dedicated themselves to be able to prove the importance of the ark and the flood and a universal flood and Ken Ham's ministry down in Kentucky. It's a it's a huge thing in college and and all. And Lord, we pray evermore that you continue to give us the wisdom and the understanding. We thank you that you're the best scientist ever Lord that all science true science emanates from you Lord. And so Lord we pray that you continue to help us as we try to understand these truths, the windows of heaven, the rain that came down, the water, the the so many things that aren't elaborated on, aren't taught that we have to try and piece together, but Lord we thank you the most important thing is that Noah and his family are being preserved so the Messiah could one day be born as the babe of Bethlehem and that salvation upon the cross of Calvary comes through your son, heavenly father. So help us keep the main thing the main thing and not lose sight of the importance of our salvation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
