Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night. We are back, and we are gonna study tonight Genesis chapter five. Lord willing, we wanna welcome you on Facebook that are watching, and we're gonna worship the Lord, and we're gonna be open with prayer. So, father, we come before you, Lord, and we lift up Alan, and we praise you and thank you that he got through the surgery. We pray they determine what's going on with his arm. Thank you that they didn't have to take his arm, Lord. And I pray they're able to drain it and get rid of all the sepsis and all the poison and the MRSA. And just help them, help Cora, and be with them, Lord. Be with Jocelyn, Lord, as her blood sugar's going up. She's pregnant due in October. We pray that you help get dial her in, and we pray for Shannon Goodson that you dial her in with her iron. Give her the iron that she needs, that she get her energy back. And be with Jessica, Lord, help the antibiotics all to work with her burst appendix, and pray that you'd be speaking to her and give her ears to hear her in germ and move and work in that way. And our friend, Moe, Lord, we pray whatever kind of infection he has that his body's fighting. Lord, we pray that you give the doctor's wisdom and help him to overcome that infection. And so we just thank you. Thank you for Carl and pray that he continue to get stronger each week from his his heart stints being put in and everything and help him be able to go back to golfing and doing things that he loves. And thank you for Sue who was able to intervene and all the paramedics and everybody to help him and same with Mike Goodson. And we just lift up this little bible study and pray that you'd anoint and bless and and and have the praise of your people and thank you for the sweet time of fellowship and just watch over each and every one of us and our children, grandchildren, and let our lives be fruitful, Lord. Lord, we thank you for Alan and the praise report of him preaching the gospel while he's under the anesthesia. And, we pray that as one man sows another waters, Lord, that you'd bring the increase and just take all that the enemy means for evil and turn it around for good, Lord, to save many people. He that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. See that? Jesus answered, are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not because he sees the light of the world of this world. John twelve thirty five, walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you for he that walks in darkness knows not whether he goes. Do you guys have one yet? Yep. Alright. Vicky? Walk by faith? Walk circumspectly? Genesis seventeen one. There you go. And when Abram was ninety ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the almighty God. Walk before me and be thou perfect. Beautiful. Those are the kind of ones we're looking for. You and I are in a walk with God. How's your walk with the Lord? We say stuff like that. How are you walking? How's your walk with the Lord? It speaks of your relationship with God. Anybody else have one? Yeah. I got one. Okay. Romans eight one. There is therefore no no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit. And verse four says, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit. Nice. Who wants Romans six four? That's a good one, James. Thanks. Now also you can take and do the negative side of it, of people walking in their own way, walking up to the customs of the world, you know, things like that. Then I would go through and I'd study all these passages that have to do with like we're doing, and then you develop a sermon based upon walking with God. Right? Topical. Topical. See, if you're walking close enough to Jesus and your life is pleasing unto him like Enoch, Enoch walked with God three hundred years of walking with God. Yep. And God was so pleased that he took him. I wanna be raptured. I want God to be so pleased with me. He raptures me. Right? Right. Amen. And I get to go by way of resurrection by dying. And that that's the truth too. The Lord says, you're doing so well. I want you to come home and be with me. We're praying for someone to be healed. The Lord says, no. I've got a jealous love for this person. I'm gonna take them home. And but it'd be it'd be cool to be one of the two witnesses like Ian that can be raptured, you know. Alright. Yeah. Another one. Ephesians two ten. We are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus and the good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Amen. Who else? Does Kathy have any? No. No. Oh, okay. Another one. Go ahead. Okay. Now let's go to Galatians five twenty five. And since I am living, we are living by the spirit. Let us follow the spirit leading in every part of our lives. Every new creature in the death of Christ. Amen. Praise the So Lord. Now that we're walking in the spirit And we're drunken. We don't fulfill the lust of the flesh anymore. Alright. Who else? James got a couple. I got a few here in Ephesians four one. It says, I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to have a walk worthy of the calling in which you were called. So God's called you, now walk worthy of that calling. What's that mean for each of us? Go ahead. Four seventeen says, this I say therefore and testify in the Lord that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk in the futility of their mind. So we don't wanna conform to this world. We wanna be different than the world. Amen. And in Ephesians five eight or Ephesians five two says, and walk in love as Christ also loved us and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma. Walk in love. Yes. That's a great one. Mhmm. And then there's another one in Ephesians five eight. It says, for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Oh, that's good. And then the one that you asked about was Ephesians five fifteen. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Upright. Anybody else? I'm in six four. Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also shall walk in newness of life. Praise the Lord. So I say live by the spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. The lord. Walk in the spirit. Who else now? I got one. Courtney, here we go. Isaiah forty thirty one. But they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Praise the Lord. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. Oh, I meant first John. Okay. I'm sorry. First John what? One second. Just read it off of this. Yeah. I'm just If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. Amen. Once done, but if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son cleanses us from all sin. So think of being Enoch walking with the Lord three hundred years. You and I get to walk with the Lord even greater dimension in that Jesus has already paid for our sins and the Holy Spirit, the blood of Jesus Christ, the Greek tense here, continually washes us of sin that we commit while we're in this body. And so fellowship is restored with verse nine. Tell us verse nine. First John one nine. You can do eight and nine. If we confess our sin, he's faithful and just so you're walking with the Lord now. Your walk with the Lord is hindered. Something's happened. You've fallen into sin. How do you how can you restore yourself back to fellowship? You don't need to go get resaved every week. Repent and confess. Just confess. Right? Agree with the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit brings conviction. Right? Mhmm. So you got that? You ready? Yep. Oh, yeah. Here you go. I can't find my Oh, never mind. I just said it. Okay. First John two six. I can do that one. Yeah. He that sayeth he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk even as he walks. So part of what we're running into is the Christianizing of all behavior. And it's okay to be, like, let's say I don't even wanna say it, but you you fill in the blank. And, you know, I'm a Christian lesbian, and I like women. So it says here, he that say us, so people profess, they say that I know Jesus. I know Jesus. And first John gives us a way to understand who is saved and who's not saved because the word committed or in some of your bible say practices. We all sin. If we say we have no sin, we're a liar and truth isn't in us, but it's that practicing of sin, that continuing in the lifestyle. Bernie had a lifestyle before he was saved. If he'd continued in that lifestyle, but then told everybody he was saved, then there's an inconsistency because we see here, he that sayeth, he abides in him ought himself also so to walk even as he walks. So being a Christian is walking like Christ walked and who he is, representing him. Alright. Three John one four. John says, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Amen. Anybody else? Second Corinthians five seven, for we walk by faith, not by sight. There we go. We walk by faith, not by sight. Yeah. Anybody else? Okay. So you get the idea. You can go back and and make that a study. And the Lord wants us to walk with him. The Lord made us for the purpose of fellowship, and that's why he made Adam. And Adam was able to walk with God in the garden, have fellowship with God. And then God saw that it wasn't good for man to be alone, and so God brought forth, you know, Eve as as, Alan today was put under with anesthesia. I think that's how you call it. So too Adam went big sleep, and the Lord took from his rib and brought forth Eve, and, and they had a little time there. I don't know how much time to walk with the Lord still together as a couple, which is fun, until sin came into the camp. And once they sin, sin causes separation. And then Adam and Eve, Adam hears the Lord saying, Adam, where are you? You know? And God knew where he was, but what happened to Adam? Explain what just went down. And yeah. And and Adam said, well, I'm not doing so well. That woman you gave me, she caused me to sin. And and it says the Lord says in verse eight of chapter three, they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden. Adam and Eve heard them after they'd sinned, and they got fig leaves. They're trying to cover up their nakedness with right you know, self works. And voice of the Lord, God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord. You're made for the purpose of fellowship with God. Now you're hiding from God because you've sinned among the trees of the garden and the Lord God called on to Adam and said to him, where art thou? And he said, I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself. So the guilt that came in and so when we sin, the Lord still wants Adam and Eve to walk in fellowship with them and made provision with the promise of the seed of the woman, the virgin born son of God, that is healed be bruised, Genesis three fifteen. And so fellowship is made available to Adam and Eve even even though it wasn't of the intimate level, you know, before the fall. But you and I, because of the blood of Jesus, we have access to God's very throne of grace, and we can experience fellowship with God. And because the blood of Jesus Christ, God's son continually cleanses us of all sin, and we've been saved from the past penalty of sin, the present power of sin, in the future, the very presence of sin. No more no more sinners. Alright. So father, we pray that as we look at Genesis five that you'd be our teacher, you open the scriptures to our understanding and help us to go away from here tonight, refreshed and strengthened, excited about reading more, Lord. We wanna keep reading. We wanna keep getting to know you. And so wet our appetite, In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Alright. So this is the book of the generations of Adam. So Adam is a writer. Adam is recording. Adam is gonna wind up living nine hundred and thirty nine years. And so when Lamech comes along, the father of Noah, Lamech is still Adam's still alive when Lamech's there. And so children and grandchildren of Lamech would be able to or of Adam would be able to tell Noah what Adam was like in that that whole thing. And so so Adam's writing these things down. When we talk about the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible and Moses being the author, Moses, in this case, is the editor. Moses isn't around, you know, to handle all this. And, God could have illumined his heart, illumined his mind and had him all, you know, write it down like we see the trans the description of the transmission of of of the scripture, with the New Testament, disciples and all where where, the Lord lumens their heart and mind and they write down what the Lord's showing them, in the original autographs. But in this case, Moses picture him later on as being more of an editor compiling this book. There's a book written and all these names are in Hebrew, so the the language is Hebrew, the names are Hebrew, they're writing, and, so they're they're intelligent, they live a long time, they're far smarter than we are. We have an accumulation of of information, but if you're gonna live nine hundred and sixty nine years like Methuselah and you're gonna live to to this degree, you're gonna learn a whole lot of things and your DNA isn't as corrupted, your brain's working better. You don't have any brain fog. You don't have any Alzheimer's. You don't have any can't remember that. I mean, you're like a machine. And now next week when we come back in chapter six with the duration, how long these people are living and you mathematically start to figure well how many kids would they have this that and the other. By the time of the flood, it's estimated there's close to 7,000,000,000 people upon the planet by the flood that are gonna perish because they're really prolific in having children, sons and daughters and all. So this is the book of the generations of Adam. So Adam would write down on maybe a parchment. A parchment would be like along the Nile River or maybe one of the rivers in Eden, and they would take a, like, a a leaf, big long leaf, a roll, and they would record on that. So not necessarily paper like we have, but two two ways. One was called a parchment. A parchment would be where they would later write on coats of skins of animal skins, they'd write. And then the the Dead Sea Scrolls, you know, long long rolled up scrolls, and much of those scrolls were the parchments and the codexes. And so the so he's probably writing on some sort of a of a rolled up scroll. And so the book of the generation to Adam in the day that God created him, created man. So Adam was made in the image of God. Now this offspring of Adam are gonna be made in his image because of the fall. So they're gonna have a fallen nature based upon the first Adam. We're wanting to get to the last Adam. We're wanting to get to first Corinthians fifteen forty five to 47 where the last Adam where we get a new nature according to, second Corinthians five, 17, if any man be in a crisis, a new creation, the old things are passed away, all things become new. In John three verse seven, Jesus told Nicodemus, you must be born again. God told Adam and Eve, the day you eat of it, you shall surely die. Human being is body, soul, and spirit. When Adam and Eve died, they died spiritually. Death by definition is separation from God. They were expelled from the garden, separated from God, but the process of death, physiological death started as we'll see. There's a key phrase here. He died. He died. He died eight times. So Jared Kushner and all the people in second Thessalonians two that believe the lie, they're given over to strong delusion that they would believe the lie and that lie is you won't die. But God's demonstrating here, you will die. It's appointed unto man in Hebrews nine twenty eight. It's appointed to all men once to die and then the judgment. Does all mean all? Did Enoch die? No. Enoch didn't die yet. Elijah, did he die? He was caught up in a fiery chariot right up into heaven. So the two witnesses in Revelation 11, if it's appointed to all men once to die, the two witnesses die in Revelation 11. Right? Yeah. So does Enoch and Elijah get to die or is it Moses on the mount of transfiguration, Matthew 17? Moses and Elijah. Moses represented the law, Elijah of the prophets. Who are the two witnesses? I wrote a book. I I could tell you, but I'd have to, you know oh, well. And I know when the rapture is gonna happen too, but I'm holding back. I'm holding back. Alright. So here we go. The book of the generations of Adam in the day that God created man in the likeness of God, may he him. So when it speaks of likeness, we have a soul, the center of the mind, the will, the emotion. So it's not just the physical attributes, it's an it's the free moral agency, the ability to think, to problem solve, to imagine, to create, you know, all the various attributes of God. Now we're not God, we're not little gods, we'll never be gods. He's not creating us into little gods. You're not a little god that's gonna get a planet with Eve like the Mormons and and be the new Adam and the new Eve. That's not gonna happen. And you're always gonna be a human being, you're gonna be a hybrid later in your new glorified body restored with no sin, with no sickness, much like Adam was in the beginning and we're gonna be in the image of Jesus And so so in the likeness of God made he him, and Revelation two four was the end of the genealogy of the creation. If you look at Revelation two verse four of the heaven and the earth, that was another what they call a toll dot, a section of scripture in regard the these are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that the Lord God made earth and heaven. This Toledot, this generation is the generation of Adam and it is not exhaustive. Why is it not exhaustive? Why is it only better better question. Why is it only contain certain names, not not all of them? Every time you guys don't answer a question right, I'm gonna eat a cookie. No. I'm just kidding. I'm not. I'm not. I'm just kidding. But I got a pocket full. I got a pocket full. Let me tell you. Alright. Alright. Okay. So the genealogy in Matthew one, the genealogy in Luke three, the temple's destroyed in seventy AD. No more genealogies for these guys to try and understand who the Messiah is. Right? The genealogies from here to Matthew one and Luke three pertain to Jesus. Any Jew could go in the temple and verify what Matthew recorded, what Luke recorded, Luke a Gentile, you know, doctor Luke, and they could say, yes, this Jesus is Nazareth. His genealogy goes all the way back, you know, in Matthew's account goes back to Abraham from the Abrahamic covenant and the Davidic covenant. Now Mary's genealogy in Luke three goes all the way back to Adam. So all the way from Adam, and it goes through her father, Heli, and through Nathan, a different son of Solomon. Jeconiah was a curse accursed. Matthew one is the legal line, the legal royal line that goes through Joseph, Jesus' stepfather. But Mary's genealogy, the right to the throne, is shown from Adam all the way to Mary, and she's a virgin. And and so and that's another interesting thing in Matthew's account, Matthew one, there's several women named. Women typically aren't named in the genealogies, but it's fascinating because of the miracle of the immaculate conception of the whole thing. So just amazing. Alright. Called his name Enosh. Or excuse me. I'm in the wrong section. There we go. So Adam in the day they decreed man, the likeness made him male and female. Now how important is that today in which we live? Is there any in betweeners? No. God's the creator. He made them male and female. So are there people that are born male but really a woman trapped in a male body? Or a little boy thinks he's a girl, and the only reason he thinks he's a girl is because his parents and because people are indoctrinating him with with a with a brainwashing and a lie. And you're not even allowed to try and rescue them legally, you know. Just so insane, the transgenderism and all that. So what that is is that is a counterfeit from the devil, confusion. The devil wants to confuse something as basic as genders. And men want to be as God, so they want to be able to change a person's gender. Right? So who all of you guys here are smarter than me. Tell me about the chromosomes. How many chromosomes does a woman have? How many does a a man have from birth, right, that determines the sex? Right? How many guys? Is it, twenty three? Twenty three and two. 22. Two and Okay. Right on. X x. We are smart people here tonight. Right? X x and x y. That's it. So that's that's very important that we can think and that it's irrefutable and that, hey, I went to school and I became a nurse or I became a doctor and we studied biology and how are you guys getting around the biology of it, you know? You're you're lying to people. So man female created he them and blessed them and called their name Adam. So Adam's name means humanity. So you have Adam in the plural here in a general sense, Adam and he both are called humanity, humankind, mankind in the day when they were created. So let's see here. One twenty six and one twenty seven. And God said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in his own image in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. Again, another proof text, male and female. And I I don't get it. I I just it's just so crazy. The world in which we're living in. And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years and begot a son in his own likeness. So this is now the fallen nature in his own likeness. And so all of us have sinned. We're gonna see like in Romans five twelve to the end of the chapter, we're gonna see where this fallen nature is handed down to each of us. We're endemic in nature. What does that mean to be endemic in nature? Fallen. So if I were to have you prove that you're wicked and deserving of hell, I might and you say, wait a minute, wait a minute, those babies that died, they hadn't done anything wrong yet. They hadn't done anything wrong. So they get to go to heaven because they haven't sinned yet. The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The law has not imputed, it as an infraction just yet, but from a standpoint of nature, the natural, offspring of Adam, all of us are molded and shaped in iniquity. We don't start off good. Nobody starts off good. Those of you moms and dads that have children in in their cribs, when you don't get to them quick enough to feed them or hold them or pick them up and all, do they exhibit some sort of anger, rage, fury? If they could if they could grab that crib and break it, wouldn't they hit you over the head? Does anybody teach them how to be selfish? Does anybody teach them how to lie? It's in their nature. So we need a new nature. We need to be born again. So meanwhile, we protect these kids with the law, with rules, with instruction and teaching parameters so they don't hurt themselves. We teach them not to lie, not to steal, and all that. But ultimately, they're gonna need a born again experience that helps them, the help of the Holy Spirit because you can't always be there and watch them and make them and keep the parameters. So we need the teachers, we need the principals, we need the police department, we need society to help provide a mosaic law that protects us from lawlessness, from aberrant behavior. And so but ultimately, the best way is the law was made for sinners. But you and I, when we're born again, we don't need as much supervision. We can be like Joseph where we're away from home and Potiphar's wife makes an advancement at us and we are looking vertical. We're in a relationship vertically with God and how can I do this great evil against God? A lot of us, if we knew that there weren't cameras watching and people watching, we would do sinful things simply because we can get away with it. But when you have an active conscience, now the conscience can God's given a conscience to everybody, but that conscience can be so violated that it can be severed, cauterized with a hot iron towards past feeling. So people can sin with impunity, maybe kill three babies and not even cry about it, you know. Maybe commit abortion, many abortions and not care one bit, you know, doesn't bother them. And which is murder. We call it abortion, but it's murder. And the men too involved. So unwanted pregnancies and child sacrifices, Manasseh sacrifices his own sons unto unto Baal and Amalek and all. And so this child sacrificing is part of a religious ritual and stuff. The the level of evil that moms and dads and humanity is capable of is just, you know, been the same. That's why the flood's coming because God saw that it repented God that he made man because the thoughts and intents of man's heart were only evil continually. And so repent repented God that he made man. So in in Jeremiah seventeen nine, the heart's deceitfully wicked above all desperately wicked above all Mhmm. Hearts deceitful above all things desperately wicked. Who can know it? Only God knows a person's heart. So when Oprah says, follow your heart. No. You don't follow your heart, Oprah. You know, follow society, no, you don't follow society. You follow Jesus, you walk with Jesus, you you follow God's word, you walk in his word. And when God causes us to be born again, now the Holy Spirit's inside of us communicating to us, teaching us and empowering us to live the Christian life. So there used to be a comedian when I was two years old named Flip Wilson, and he had a little he had a little skit where he said, the devil made me do it. The devil made me do it. And that's not true. The devil contempt, but the devil doesn't make you do it. So sin as a Christian, sin shall not have dominion over you. Now, some would argue, wait a minute, that person's demon possessed and all, they're still responsible for their actions even if they're demon possessed. But we as Christians, we cannot be demon possessed. We can't use an excuse, well, my mom didn't hug me enough. Well, society treated me bad. Well, I was born on the other side of the railroad tracks or the devil made me do it. No. We choose we have free moral agency. We choose right and wrong, given a conscience, the law, but you and I, we've been given the Holy Spirit and so God helps us to make the right decision and it's I believe rewarded doing right, walking in fellowship with God, rewarded with peace, the peace of God. You lose your peace when you sin against God. I like being at peace with God And I I like fellowship with God. And when I sin, I appeal to God based upon the grace of God as unmerited favor toward me. I know he's already forgiven me. And I I don't tell him I'll try harder. I I say Lord, please change me. I'm a wicked man, Lord. Please change me. Please change the desires of my heart and help me to yield to the moving and working of your Holy Spirit. And because Christ is glorified. Right? He's glorified. Being confident this very thing that he has begun a good work in me that he's gonna complete on the day of Jesus Christ. Okay. So that old fallen nature, that's a that's a that's a bummer. It's it's a huge bummer. So all the sea of humanity in Romans three twenty three, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Now why do we sin? Because we're sinners. We're born in iniquity. It's in our nature to sin. Nobody has to teach me to sin. It's in my well, let's call sin selfishness. My selfishness is the fall. That's what I received from the fall, doing it my way. And so Adam and Eve, Adam, our first federal head, he forfeited dominion over the planet, to the usurper, to the devil, and the prince of the power of the air, the little G God of this world, and the fallen angels that fell with Lucifer. They in Ephesians six, they have an ability to tempt, they have ability to war and to fight, and we have our armor on and we're to stand and withstand. And so we fight against the world, the flesh, and the devil, but as we learn tonight, we walk in the spirit in Galatians five, we don't fulfill the lust of the flesh. Right? And greater is he that's in me than he that's in the world, the devil. So I have the help of the Holy Spirit to help me overcome my inclination to sin. But first John says, if any man says he doesn't have sin, he's a liar. We all sin. But if you sin, confess your sin and fellowship's restored. Alright? And hopefully, as we're as we're maturing, we are overcoming and getting victory in areas of our life that we once given over to on the sin and that's maturity. Every parent expects their son and daughter to fall into sin. What we're looking for is a 40 year old is not acting like a two year old anymore. That they're growing a bit. They're they're they're maturing and progress. We just want to see some progress, Lord willing, and try and help him along that way. So Adam lived a hundred and thirty years and begot a son in his own likeness after his image and called his name Seth. And so this is the son of faith. Cain slew Abel and the Canaanite, group, you know, as the promises given to Eve wasn't according to the line of Cain. Cain wasn't gonna get it. There's good and bad sons that came from Cain, but this is the line Seth that we're gonna see that the Messiah came through. Seth is gonna be in the lineage. His name is appointed. His name means foundation or appointed. Seth was appointed. And so this this gene pool, since in Genesis three fifteen, God indicated that Messiah, the savior of the world, wasn't gonna be an angel. Messiah was gonna be a human being, and Messiah was going to come through the seed of the woman in Isaiah seven fourteen or Isaiah nine six. Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bring forth the son. We'll call his name Emmanuel, God with us. Unto us a child is born, unto a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders. His name shall be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, the everlasting father, the prince of peace, and of the peace in his government, there shall be no end. And so these are predictions seven hundred years before Jesus is born, and then, you know, he's born as the Messiah in the Hebrew, Christ in the Greek, he's the anointed one, he's the savior of the world, and but he has to come through a genealogy and we're seeing the this genealogy be established here and Satan's attempt when we get in chapter six is to ruin the gene pool, to corrupt the gene pool, and it's not just in Genesis six that Satan tries to do that. It's also like with Haman when Haman tried to destroy all of the Jews and God raised up Esther. Right? It's also in Egypt when the pharaoh said we're gonna kill all the male children. The devil's inspiring the pharaoh to do that, but you've got Amram and Jochebed and Shifra Ampuah, the Amram and Jochebed, the mother and father of Moses. Shifra Ampuah, the midwives, aren't they heroes, heroes of the faith? And they didn't listen to the edict of the king because in Acts four, we're gonna obey God rather than men. Right? When human government crosses the line, we obey God rather than men. So they saved Moses and Moses was drawn, he was drawn and and Moses becomes a type of Christ and that he's a deliverer and and so the Jews weren't eradicated, and instead, there's over 2,000,000 of them surviving when a pharaoh came along who did not know Joseph. The hand of the pharaoh became really heavy upon upon the Jews. And in that persecution, they were prolific and prospering. And and then later in the exodus when the lord delivered them out, they're close to 2,000,000 people coming out of Egypt, four hundred and thirty years down in Egypt, the 70 that went down with Jacob with the famine and all Joseph going before him, Joseph being a type of Christ. And so you see throughout church history or throughout history where the devil has made attempts even like with Adolf Hitler's World War two to try and wipe out all the Jews to kill them. Antisemitism is a demonic demonically motivated. And and so whether people like it or not, our messiah is a Jew and God gives a promise to Abraham, I'll bless those that bless thee, curse those that curse thee from Abraham, all nations of the earth to be blessed and and so when we look at the nation of Israel today, we're not giving carte blanche or approval to the government nor are we given approval to the Iranian government nor the US government. We're saying that the Iranian people, there is a remnant among them. They've been regathered in unbelief. And so that remnant is gonna go through a time of cleansing, time of through the fire in the tribulation period, and they are gonna come into conformity. The the Jews to look back to history and to blame the Jews for killing Jesus is ludicrous. It's your sin and my sin that put him upon the cross there. And, but we do know that the Jews at the time, the majority of them, the upper echelon, the leadership, and the nation as a whole rejected Messiah, but we know that that that was prophesied in Daniel nine, twenty six twenty seven. So, in that, the church age would spring forth from that from that rejection. So so in any event, we don't hate the Jews, but Martin Luther and and Augustine hated the nation of Israel. They blame them for killing Jesus. They were of a predatorist that the church takes the place of Israel. That's not true. God's promises to Israel. Yeah. And amen. So all the way back here when we did a podcast, we're talking about the nation of Israel. The place that we started was here in Genesis, God needed a man and he narrowed it down through Abraham, the Abrahamic covenant, and then the Davidic covenants, the royal line. So we took and we followed the genealogy pointing to Jesus and in order for Jesus to come forth, he had to have a nation and that nation is the nation of Israel. And so it's ludicrous to be anti semitic, I'm telling you. In the millennium, the nation of Israel is gonna be dominant. The nation of Israel is gonna rule over the Gentiles with Jesus ruling and reigning with a rod of righteousness. David as his prince and the 12 tribes, you know, and the 12 disciples. And you and I ruling and reigning our new glorified bodies as kings and priests, but the Gentiles are gonna repopulate the planet and they're gonna be subservient to the nation of Israel. The sad thing is many secular Jews today has have designs to be world dominators now, and that's where they get into trouble because they can't do it in the flesh. They're gonna have to let the Lord be the one that sets the stage and and gives takes possession and establishes kingdom. So remember when we when we look at this genealogy, the importance of a telescoping and reaching to the person Jesus Christ, savior of the world. So in the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years and he begot sons and daughters. So where did Cain and Abel find wives? You see sons and daughters, they're they're not they don't need to be named because they're not in the line, they're not in the lineage. But Adam and Eve are having lots of kids and eight hundred years have real lots of kids and the the DNA is very very pure, so there isn't any problem of deformed children or whatever emanating from that because the gene pool is so strong and ultimately going back to Adam and Eve, we're all brothers and sisters. Right? And we all have the same blood no matter what color your galaxy. I mean, I'm really tan right now, and you guys are really white, but we have the same we have the same color blood, you know. So why do people trip up on colors of skin, you know, it's just it's mind boggling, ain't it? And so it's the blood of Jesus washes away our sin. So he had begun Seth for eight hundred years and he begot sons and daughters and and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years and he died, nine thirty. Lots of funerals, and he died. See this eight times mentioned, and he died and he died and he died. How many guys like funerals? They're they're brutal, aren't they? And now Paul said the church of Thessalonica, we sorrow, but we don't sorrow as those who have no hope. What's that mean? We sorrow at funerals, but we're not like the world. We have hope. Right? See him at resurrection. We're gonna see him again because of the resurrection. If you don't believe in God, you don't believe in the resurrection, then first Corinthians 15, you're of all men most miserable. You have no reason to live. You have no hope. So Paul says, you ought to eat and drink today for tomorrow you die and a whole lot of people are living like that. It's called hedonism. I'm going to Vegas, you know, and they just party till they finally can't party anymore. And so they have no hope, but we have that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior, Jesus Christ. And so nine hundred and thirty years, this is the second death. The first death was being separated from God. Now he's experiencing the second death. If you're born once, you die twice. If you're born twice, and what's that lesson Jesus is teaching Nicodemus, this rabbi, ruler, you gotta be born of the water. And what's the water, Jocelyn? What's the water, Jocelyn? Mhmm. Physical birth. Oh, birth. Oh, birth. Yeah. Grandma? Grandma? Hey, mom. My water broke. My water broke. Yeah. For the first part. And then born of the spirit. The spirit's like the wind. You know? The rock. And so we got to be born of the spirit. Now we're a third part being. Now we're born again, fellowship restored. And so Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Michaliel, Jared, unto Enoch. And so funerals, death. In Genesis three nineteen reminds us from dust to dust. You're taken from the dust, you're gonna go back to the dust. Some of us have no problem with cremation. It just speeds up the process of going back to the dust. Right? And Seth lived a hundred and five years and he begot Enosh. And Seth lived after he begot Enosh 807 and he begot sons and daughters. Right? Who wants to read Romans six well, Romans six twenty three says, the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Now let's turn to Romans five twelve. Romans five twelve. We're gonna see that as Adam died and in Adam all of us are gonna die And we don't fear death. Right? Because to be asked of the bodies to be present with the Lord Amen. We have the hope of the resurrection. We don't want people we love to die because it means we experience separation. We're separated from them and that's why it hurts and painful and you would hope that people that experience the lost of a loved one, that pain would drive them to Christ. Christ is the solution to that pain. So Romans five, wherefore as by one man, Adam, sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men. Hebrews nine twenty eight, it's appointed. You have an appointment. It's appointed on all men wants to die and then the judgment. We don't know what day we're gonna die. Some people doctor says you got eighteen months. The prophet Isaiah comes to Hezekiah, the sickness unto death, get your house in order. So the doctor says this is terminal, you got time. My father-in-law Bill, he had no time to prepare. Boom, he died of a heart attack. Gone. That quick. My mom had a prolonged cancer. My sister Tammy, she died in bed, boom, quick. So you never know that it can happen to any of us at any time. So we need to be ready. And so death passed upon all men for all sinned. So Adam sinned for all. Adam sin is passed down to all of us. For until the law sin was in the world but sin was not imputed. That word imputed is an accounting term so it doesn't go against the ledger. It's not a debit against you yet but yet sin is still there. It's happening. These guys are killing each other and in Genesis nine, God's going to implement capital punishment for anybody that murders, the noahic law. Right? But before that, there you don't have the 613 precepts of the Mosaic law yet, but God's given a conscience, they know even if somebody doesn't have a Bible, they know murder's wrong. They know lying's wrong, sin's wrong because God's written his law in their heart. They they have a conscience. So sin is not imputed where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses even over them that had not sinned after the smilitude of Adam's transgression who is the figure of him that was to come. So the type, the figure, the first Adam, our first federal head is a figure of the savior Jesus and you'll see he's described here as some some will call him the second Adam, but really he's the last Adam. There isn't a third. He is the last. He's the second, but he's the last Adam. And so so Adam's Moses even over them that had not sinned after the smilitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come, but not as the offense so also as the free gift. Notice free gift. Free gift. Salvation is a free gift. For if through the offensive one many are dead much more so far greater the grace of God and the gift by grace which by one man Jesus Christ has abounded abounded unto many. So where sin does abound, grace does much more abound. The free gift through Jesus Christ. And not as it was one that sinned, so is the gift. For the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses under justification. So justification is just as if I've never sinned. We're justified. Jesus said, it is paid in full, the sins are paid for. For if by one man's offense death reign by one one much more they who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. And so the power of the gift of salvation of God's grace and the righteousness of Jesus to save us. Therefore, as by the offensive one judgment came upon all men to condemnation even so by the righteousness of one. So we can't help God. We can't be good enough. Salvation is by grace through faith alone, Ephesians two eight nine, right? Free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover, law entered that the offenses might abound, so the law stimulated the offenses. It recorded and made known to a greater measure how we were infracting and so it brings us to a place of helplessness. It brings us to a place of, oh, wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from this bondage of death? You know, you're exasperated. You've reached your end. You you can't possibly because the things you do wanna do Romans seven, you don't do. The things you don't wanna do, you do. And you you you reach a place where the law condemns. It's condemning you and that's the intention of law, to stop every mouth, to point you to Christ because then you'll come to Christ by faith and receive the free gift. Right? Moreover the law entered in the fences might abound but where sin abounded, grace is much more abound. That is sin that reign from death to death, even so my grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Ain't that great? Amen. And then turn to first Corinthians 15, while we're here. Fifteen forty forty five. And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul. The last Adam was made a life giving spirit. See last see that last Adam. So federal head, the federal head failed and Satan the usurper took over dominion over the planet. So first in Revelation five, who's worthy to open the scroll and to loose the seals? Nobody was worthy. Right? Everybody was crying. And but the lion of the tribe of Judah. Right, Bernie? He is overcome. Right? And what does he hold in the scroll? The title deed to the earth. Right? So you're twice his. You you he made you and he bought you. And the price of redemption is his precious blood. And so he purchased the planet back. The planet was forfeited by Adam and that curse came upon the planet and Jesus came to reverse that curse and he sold all that he had and he purchased this field because you were the treasure within that field that he wanted. So again, and so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam was made a life giving spirit. However, that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth earthy, Adam. The second man is the Lord from heaven and so this corruption must put on incorruption, this mortal must put on immortality. So we've gotta get that resurrected body, the new body, and I don't know where that came from. Okay. I need some water and a cookie. Anybody need a cookie? I got a pocket full of them. You guys wanna see? Look at this. Look at this. How you like my shirt? The rubies? Balboa Pier. See if you're listening. Okay. So verse six, and Seth lived a hundred and five years and begot Enosh and Seth lived after he begot Enosh eight hundred and seven years and begot sons and daughters. And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years and he died, 09/12. And so Noah was 14 years old at this time when when Seth died. Eight times he died, he died, he died. So Noah's kinda checking things out, you know. And you're gonna have information as Adam is writing things down that which is pertinent, the these genealogies, the Toledot, so too you have oral tradition. You have Adam explaining to people, you know, what if what if someone comes up to Adam, Adam, what was it like in the garden? What was it like before the flood? You know? We don't have all that written down, but but there you go. So and Enosh lived ninety years and begot Kenan. Enosh lived after he begot Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years and begot sons and daughters. And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years and he died. Do you get the point here? And he died. And he died. And he died. Jared Kushner is telling people that his generation is not gonna die, that they think their technology is gonna reach a place where chip in some guy's brain or whatever, that somehow they're gonna have the fountain of youth and they're not gonna die. So Seth to Enosh to Lamech, they're not in the can Canaanite line. And and so Enosh lived after he begot Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years and begot sons and daughters, and all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years and he died. And Kenan lived seventy years and begot Michaliel and Kenan lived after he begot Michaliel eight hundred and forty years and begot sons and daughters and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years and he died. And Mahalia lived sixty and five years and begot Jared. Alright. Now, who wants to read first Chronicles one one through 14? I've got it marked here if you want me to. And you could turn to Luke chapter three after I read this here. So first Chronicles Chronicles of the Kings. Right? Yeah. The lineage. So first Chronicles one one, Adam, Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Nehaliel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. How about that? Yeah. Ain't that great? Now go to Luke three because Luke three, the genealogy, goes all the way back to Adam. Matthew's account in Matthew one is the royal line goes to Abraham and also through David. David is a so the Matthew is trying to speak to the Jews and point out that Jesus is the long promised Messiah, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the kingly lion. Here, this is this is through Mary and now again in seventy AD, all of the records were burnt when Titus surround the temple and burned it to the ground. So any of the religious leaders could have taken Luke's account here and they could have read or they could have gone into the temple to verify, you know, can anything good come out of Nazareth? These guys needed to go in there and check out the genealogies, but but they didn't. And they didn't look at the prophecies. More importantly, they didn't look at the prophecies. But God hasn't given you and I a faith that's an ignorant, a blind faith, but a faith based upon his absolute word of truth, the word of God. So it's at the end of chapter three, we'll see our names in chapter five, but but I'm such a good reader. I just wanna hear myself read. So from verse 23, and Jesus himself began to be about 30 years of age be being as was supposed the son of Joseph, who was the son of Heli. And so this is genealogy of Mary, mother of Jesus in David's line through Nathan. And and so who was the son of Matthod, who was the son of Levi, who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Jani, who was the son of Joseph, and so the father-in-law of Joseph and Mary as Helai, Mary's father, was in the son of Matthijs, who was the son of Amos, was the son of Nahum, the son of Elsi, who was the son of Nagli, who is the son of Mahath, who is the son of Matthias, who is the son of Simeon, who is the son of Josek, who is the son of Joda, who is the son of Jonah, who is the son of Resah, who is the son of Zerubbabel, Who is the son of Shealtiel? Who is the son of Neri? Who is the son of, Melkai? Who is the son of Adai? Who is the son of Kosem? Who is the son of Elamadan? Who is the son of Er? Who is the son of Joshua? Who is the son of Eliezer? Who is the son of Joram? Who is the son of Mattath? Who is the son of Levi? Who is the son of Simeon? Who is the son of Judas? Who is the son of Joseph? Who is the son of Jonah? Who is the son of Eliakim? Who is the son of Maalei? Who is the son of Mina? Who is the son of Mathanah, who is the son of Nathan, who is the son of David. So this line rather than going through Solomon like Matthew's took a different line of David's sons through Nathan because the line through Solomon was cursed because of Jeconiah. So so that's a per important distinction right there. Who is like the son of Jesse who was so now you have the lineage of of David. So you're gonna see here as it's moving backward, you're gonna see Ruth, you're gonna see Obed, who is the son of Jesse, is son of Obed, is son of Boaz, remember Ruth and Boaz, who is the son of Salmon, who is the son of Mashon, who is the son of Amminadab, who is the son of Arnai, who is the son of Hezron, who is the son of Perez, who is the son of Judah, who is the son of Jacob, who is the son of Isaac, who is son of Abraham? Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Abraham and your seed, all nations of earth are gonna be blessed. This is the messianic line. Who is the son of Terah? Terah was in Babylon. Terah was an idolater. God came to Abram and revealed himself unto him, made a people of him. Who is the son of Nahor? Who is the son of Shurug? Who is the son of Rehu? Who is the son of Pelag? Who is the son of Eber, who is the son of Shelah, is the son of Canaan, is the son of Arpachi, and who is the son of Shem. There we go. There we are. Genesis five. We're working our way back to Genesis five. Who is the son of Shem, who is the son of Noah, Who is the son of Lamech? Who is the son of Methuselah? Who is the son of Enoch? Who is the son of Jared? Who is the son of Mahaliel? Who is the son of Canaan? Who is the son of Enos? Who is the son of Seth? Who is the son of Adam, who was the son of God. So notice it goes through Seth because Seth is the chosen or appointed foundation line because Cain slew Abel. Alright. Back to Genesis five. Don't you love how the it ties together? Right? Don't you love it? Yep. Just love it. Now the Book of Mormon can't do this. Now the Koran can't do this. There's no other book on the planet that can do this. Right? And Peter said we have the more sure word of prophecy. I know. The prophetic picture. Alright. So, Betty, are you still awake? Yeah. Okay. Good. Alright. Cool. If you need a cookie, let me know. Okay. And Mihaliel lived sixty and five years and he begotten Jared. And Mihaliel lived after he begot Jared eight hundred and thirty years and begot sons and daughters. And all the days of Mihaliel were eight hundred ninety and five years and he died and he died and he died and he died. There's an appointment all of us have called death. A lot of us live our lives in a sense of denial like it's not gonna happen to us or at least not yet, But today is the day of salvation. Amen. Don't put off a future date if you're not saved to get saved. Get saved today because you have until the point of death to make your decision of where you're gonna spend eternity. If you receive Christ, then you're sealed by the Holy Spirit. You're marked as belonging to him, and there's no fear of death because you just move out of this body into a new glorified body. But the the unbeliever who's only born once physically is gonna be bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation chapter 20 and brought to the before the great white throne judgment and going to give an account of what they did while they're in their body whether good or bad and God is going to pull them out of Hades or she a lot of a general sense of hell and then send the unbeliever that refused Jesus Christ to the Lake Of Fire where the devil or the antichrist or the false prophet and all the fallen angels, all those who rebelled against God, and the only reason somebody goes to hell is because they choose to go to hell. They choose to go to hell by re choosing to reject Jesus Christ. So choose you this day who you will serve, Joshua said. But as for me and my house, we're gonna serve the Lord. Right? Amen. So get right with God now Because death when I do funerals, especially when I do funerals with unbelievers there, they can't wait to get to the bar. Or they come drunk. They've all because they can't deal with death. They can't deal with it. It's such an incredible reminder Mhmm. That we're all gonna be judged one day. Yep. So all the lies they tell themselves, death is a reminder. So in the tribulation period, you know, over half the population dies in a very short period of time with the with the seals and the trumpet and the bold judgments being poured out, you know. And the rich are in these bunkers underneath the ground trying to hide from the wrath of the lamb, and the ground's shaking. There's no place to hide, you know, and the sea has given up the dead. The grave's given up the dead. It's no place to be, man. And, god, Jesus came to seek and to save sinners. He came to seek and save the lost. And, man, oh, man. Anybody here fear death? We don't fear death. Alright. Alan Goff saying he doesn't fear death. He's letting everybody know he doesn't fear death. He's ready to go, but he's worried about his Korah. And Jared lived a hundred and sixty and two years and he begot Enoch. Enoch is the first prophet, which means he's a teacher. Three hundred years walking with God. Boy, you'd have a lot to teach, wouldn't you? Hey. Hey, God. How'd you make that hippopotamus? You know? What's what's with that giraffe? Why is it got such a long neck? You know? And more importantly, hey, God. How am I gonna get the book of Jude chapter Jude fourteen and fifteen? You give me a vision as a prophet of 10 thousands and thousands of the saints, you know, returning with them to Earth. Right? Do you remember that? We're gonna look at some of that. Who wants to read Jude fourteen and fifteen? I'll read it. Okay. And he also descended from Adam prophesied of these saying, behold, the Lord cometh with 10 thousands of the saints to execute judgment upon all, to convince all that are ungodly among them that are of all their ungodly deeds, which they have ungodly committed, and all their hard speeches, which ungodly sinners have spoken against. So Enoch's prophesying. Enoch walked with God and was not for God took him. And Jude, the brother of our Lord is quoting Enoch a prophecy that Enoch gave that when the Lord Jesus comes in his second coming, he's coming with the church to execute judgment upon the earth concerning the antichrist and all of his armies and all the god god haters. And and so and it says, and Jared lived and he begot Enoch eight hundred years and he got sons and daughters. So the seventh from Adam and all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty and two years and he died. And Enoch lived sixty and five years and begot Methuselah. And Enoch walked there we go. We started out tonight. And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years and begot sons and daughters. So a three hundred year walk with the Lord. And Adam and Eve were able to walk with God in the garden in the cool of the day. Adam, where art thou? What happened? And so in Colossians two twenty six, Galatians five twenty five, walk in the spirit and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. Amos three verse three, can two walk together except they be agreed? Who wants to read the account of Enoch in Hebrews eleven five and six? And Debbie mentioned second Corinthians five verse seven earlier that we don't walk by sight, we walk by faith. And earlier we had Sean read first John, we walk in the light as he is in the light. And so Hebrews eleven, five and six, Enoch makes it into the hall of faith. Do you guys want to be in the hall of faith? Do you want to be a conqueror or more than a conqueror? That's another. So who's got Hebrews eleven five and six? Jim does. By faith, Enoch was translated that he should not see death and was not found because God had translated him. For before his translation, he had this testimony that he pleased God. But without faith, it is impossible to please him for he that comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. So how did Enoch please God? Faith in God. Faith. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. So Enoch walked with God and believed God. Now in Hebrews chapter 10, those that draw back, it says that God takes no pleasure in those that draw back in that of apostasy of falling away. So in chapter 11, there's examples in Hebrews 11 of those that live lives pleasing unto God and that life that's pleasing unto God is a life that walks by faith with God. We don't have all the answers. We don't know why, the whys and everything, but we continue to walk by faith. Now in Revelation chapter four, we see God's purpose in making us is that the four and the 20 elders bowed down before him and cast their crowns at his feet and said, art worthy, oh Lord, to receive glory, honor and power for thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created. And as we saw, without faith, it's impossible to please God for they that come to him must believe that he is and that he's a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. So we look in terms of this lady that did this thing of killing three babies. Oh, what a terrible crime or, you know, whatever other crime there is, but we minimize the crime of unbelief Mhmm. Of how you can't please God, you know. Unbelief is egregious. Unbelief puts you in hell, you know, and you could be a righteous person, a good person that never did murder anybody and live a good life and go to church every day, but you're still a sinner. But you don't see yourself as a sinner. You're like a pharisee. You're thanking God that you're not like those people that kill babies, you know. But Jesus said his prayers in Luke 18 just didn't even reach up to heaven, you know. He prayed thus with himself, boasting of his tithing and his prayer, and I'm not like this wretched publican next to me and all that. And the publican wouldn't so much as lift up his eyes on the heaven and smote his breast as a god be merciful to me a sinner. And Jesus said, this man went away to his house justified. They were justified just as if I've never sinned because he came by faith. He came in repentance. He came confessing his need of Jesus. And so and that's the a Pharisee didn't have faith. Didn't have any faith. He trusted in himself. This man who trusts in himself. He's praying unto himself. Alright? And so the importance of faith to please God, and he pleased God. Now that word translation, rapture. Right, Jim? Translated? I don't know on that one. I didn't look it up. Okay. It's alright. It's a it's might be a different Hebrew word. Rapture is a Latin word. Caught up is in the Greek, harpazo, but the the truth here is that he was taken up taken up and Right, Bernie? Rapture. Okay. I know people are tired of the word rapture there. It isn't even in the bible. It isn't even the bible. And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years and begot sons and daughters and all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty and five years. And Enoch walked with God. So we see it again. Enoch walked with God. You get the picture, Enoch walked with God. And Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him. So we have another instance of the rapture, and that's Philip. Philip went down to Gaza, which is desert, and ministered to the Ethiopian eunuch, and then he was taken to Azotis. Right? And Gemini looked at that word, and it was harpazo. He was taken, raptured Philip. We have an occasion in Kings where Elijah, second Kings two eleven, where Elijah was caught up in a whirlwind in a chariot of fire. Right? And he didn't die. Lazarus was raised from the dead. The widow of Nain's son was raised from the dead. Jairus' daughter was raised from the dead. Dorcas raised from the dead. Let's see. The apostle Paul raised Eutychus from the dead, but they all died again. But Enoch hasn't died yet, and Elijah hasn't died yet. And Elijah's supposed to come to the nation of Israel. That's why when they do Passover, they have one chair that's there for Elijah's gonna come. Jesus said if you can understand it, if you can see it, if you can grasp it, Elijah's already come with John the Baptist as a forerunner. Right? But still, with the tribulation period, Revelation 11, the two witnesses to the nation of Israel. They're they're to witness to the nation of Israel at the mid first three and a half years of the, tribulation period. Right? And they're calling down fire from heaven and stuff. They're they're good witnesses. And so Enoch is a witness. Enoch is witnessing to the generation that he's a part of of prophetically of Jesus, that Jesus is coming and letting them know. And during the tribulation period, whoever these two witnesses are, whether it's Enoch and Elijah or Moses and Elijah or somebody else that somebody's figured out. Revelation eleven seven through 12 speaks of two witnesses and some say one of them might be Enoch. He walked with God and he was not for God took him. So the reason they think it's Enoch and Elijah because they haven't died yet. But on the mount of transfiguration, there's Elijah and Moses in their new glorified bodies. Right? They're on the mount of transfiguration. So so I don't know. I I I could make a lot of money if I was dogmatic and said, gave me a dream and I wrote a book. A huge percentage of people believe me if I just did that, you know, but then I'd have to answer to God. And once I made all the money and I was proven wrong, I'm not gonna apologize to get the money back, am I? I'm gonna hope people forget about it because that's what happens to every one of these guys that projects dates, that date sets. Right? Never heard any of them come back and say, feel bad. I'm I'm I'm gonna give all your money back. And Methuselah lived a hundred and eighty and seven years and begot Lamech. And Methuselah lived after he begot Lamech seven hundred and eighty and two years and begot sons and daughters and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty and nine years and he died. Nine hundred and sixty nine years, that's almost a millennium. Man, imagine how much trouble I can get in living that long. When when the pharaoh asked Jacob how old he was, remember? When Jacob came down into into into Egypt and he said, what did he say? He says, few and evil were my days. Right? I think he was 137 at that time, wasn't he? Something like that. Yeah. But, you know, few and evil, you know, it's like, this has been tough living in a fallen world. Now in Isaiah, I love Isaiah. Is it 51 James or 57? I love in Isaiah that God takes the righteous so that they don't have to see the evil to come. Let me look at that. It's 50 what? Fifty seven nine. Fifty seven nine. Yeah. And so I love I love that because like Jacob's saying, you know, fifty seven one, the righteous perish and no man lays it to heart and the merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken from the evil to come. The days we're living in are waxing worse and worse. They're getting more and more evil. Imagine if I had to live nine hundred and sixty nine years watching more evil, you know. Sometimes we look at society like Sodom and Gomorrah or the world of in Genesis six, like a like a dog that has rabies. And in God's love, he says, I'm gonna put him down. It's time to put it down because the thoughts and intents of man's heart is only evil continually. Right? You and I are the salt of the earth. We're the light of the world. We are to be a preserving influence. We are we are the the influence that staves off the putrification, the corruption of the world around us. And your witness, you simply exposing evil and standing for righteousness it has a powerful message to people that light is shining upon their darkness. When you wimp out, when you compromise, now you're the lady to see in church, and you have no power, and you make Jesus sick, and he's gonna puke you. He's gonna spit you out. So I was on Facebook, and I saw pastor JD, and it really blessed me because I don't have too many pastors that that I'm like minded with that I get excited about that we're on the same wavelength. But JD and I are I've never met him, but we're on the same wavelength. And, basically, he was saying, like our our little podcast that Vicky does or a little teaching is Sound Word Calvary Chapel of Bremerton. And so he's quoting that in the last days, men will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap themselves teachers having itching ears. And then JD says, yeah. He says you can watch on Facebook. He says, yeah, you got these Christians, they complain about, well, your pastor, he teaches for an hour, maybe an hour and a half. And JD is like, yeah, that's pretty bad. Well, you want to, you know, invest yourself in sermonettes because you're a Christianette, you know, and everybody's laughing and all. And and then Shannon Goodson posted something today that caught my attention. She said that when you water down the gospel, when you weaken the gospel, when you weaken God's word so that people like it more, you're unable to strengthen them in their faith. They're weakened Christians. So our objective is to give the full counsel of God, sometimes it takes an hour and a half because we try to cover from Genesis to Revelation in one sitting. Right? And I can't tell you how many people have come up to me and said, I think you covered the whole Bible today. I think you covered the whole Bible. You know? How many verses you're gonna do? You know? You know? And all that. So guess what? You guys are growing. You're growing, and I don't think you could sit through a sermonette anymore. I don't think you could go back to those clown shows and places that tried to trick you before and you were starving. You were starving. You were like, man, I'm really starving. I need to be fed and and now you know what was lacking. It was the word of God. You need the word of God. Alright. So God took him, Methuselah lived a hundred and eighty and seven years and begot Lamech and Methuselah lived after Lamech seven hundred and eighty and two years and begot sons and daughters and the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty and nine years and he died. And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty and two years and begot a son and he called his name Noah. Noah's name means rest. And Methuselah, his name his name means his death shall bring it. Okay. Now watch this. And Lamech was a contemporary of Adam. He lived toward the end of Adam's life. And so he Lamech could be able to tell Noah about about Adam and all that history, all that from Adam forward, Noah quite possibly could have had information concerning that. So he got a son and he called his name Noah, which means rest or comfort. The same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands because of the ground which the Lord has cursed. And Lamech after he begot Noah five hundred ninety years and begot sons and daughters and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy and seven years and he died. Seven seven seven. And so Adam, he lived during forty six years of Adam's life, it looks like. And Noah was 500 years old and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now, what was Noah doing? Who wants to read second Peter three:nine and first Peter three twenty? And second Peter two verse five, Hebrews eleven seven, we're gonna look at Noah now. So second Peter three nine. I can read it. Okay. The Lord is not slack concerning his promises, some uncount slackness, but his long suffering to us were not willing that any should perish, but all should come repent. So a hundred and twenty years, Noah is gonna be building this ark that we're gonna see in the future, hundred and twenty. And while he's building it, that which he learned from Methuselah, a preacher of righteousness, right? A preacher and all. We're gonna see that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. First Peter three verse 20, it's a picture of Jesus and the the baptism. Anybody have that? First Peter three twenty, Then we got second Peter two five while you're there. Which sometime we're disobedient when once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was preparing wherein few that is eight souls were saved by water. So the long suffering of God in that he didn't just judge them quickly. They had a hundred and twenty years to watch the ark being built, and God's not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. And people that mock, the mockers are fulfillment of prophecy today. Where is the promise of this coming? Everything continues as it always has, you know. So they're coming up to Noah and they're saying, why are you building a boat? It's never rained before. There's no rain. There's no ocean. Where where are you gonna float that thing? What are you doing with that thing? And he's covering it with pitch, you know, within without. And it's the kaphar which speaks of the atonement and we'll get to that later. But Shemham and Japheth, his sons, and him there and his daughters, they're building this huge ark, and the animals start to walk in, you know, two by two, male and female, and and then seven and seven, you know, the clean animals and all and and getting it all ready and food and the whole thing, it takes a hundred and twenty years in building it. The animals listened. The animals came, but the people didn't come. You know? Alright. Second Peter two verse five. I have it. And spread not the old sorry. And spared not the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. Hebrews eleven seven. By faith, Noah being warned of God and things not seen as yet moved with fear, prepared an ark in the saving of his house by which he condemned the world, became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Alright. So Noah's 500 years old and Noah begot Shemham and Japheth and fifteen hundred and fifty six years, you know, from Adam. Now, there's a message here that that pastor Chuck Missler, we used to have him every Monday night at Calvary Costa Mesa, and then he was one of the teachers when I was in the school of ministry. He was still ministering there. And then later, he developed a Koinonia House out of Idaho and then later in New Zealand, and he and his wife, Nancy, they're they're with the Lord now. But on YouTube, he's prolific on YouTube. And this next section, I don't know where he got it, but let's look at the I put it on Calvary Chapel Bremerton's Facebook. We posted it tonight. But, basically, they start with Adam. Adam means man or mankind. Seth means appointed, and you can write this down. Enosh equals mortal. Canaan equals sorrow. Mehaliel equals the blessed God. Jared means shall come down, the blessed God shall come down. You see that? Enoch means teaching. The blessed God shall come down teaching. Methuselah means his death shall bring it. Lamech, the despairing. Noah, comfort. Wanna read it? Try to read it. Man appointed mortal sorrow, the blessed God shall come down, teaching his death shall bring the despairing comfort. The death of Jesus can bring comfort. Right? Amen. And when Methuselah died, that was when it started to rain and the waters of the deep began to break up from within the earth. That's when the flood started, His death shall bring it. So the picture of the ark is you gotta be in Christ to avoid that judgment. That's one way to look at it. Another way to the baptism. The other way to look at it is the ark, the picture like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace is a picture of Israel going through the tribulation period. The ark, those in the ark, a picture of Israel going through the judgment of the tribulation period, and Enoch before that, the church being raptured before that judgment. And so and that the return of Jesus brings the rest, the comfort from the judgment. Does that make sense? Yeah. Okay. So anyway, it's you can take a picture if you want or it's it's on our Calvary Chapel Bremerton Facebook page, and we wrote on there compliments of Chuck Missler. So that's where I learned it from. And all of us pastors, we learn our stuff from somebody else. I don't know where he learned it, but there you go. Alright. Any other I'm posting it up on Okay. Oh, good. Praise the lord. Alright. So you can play with that. And alright. So any other comments or questions before we eat some more cookies? Alright. Father, we thank you for letting us get back in the saddle, lord. Thank you for the glorious summer we've had and visiting family and friends and vacations and and getting that vitamin d. But, Lord, spiritually speaking, we're just so thankful that spiritually, Lord, we get to be built up and strengthened tonight, encouraged, and have meal together and break bread. And and we do lift up Alan again, Lord, and pray that you alleviate the suffering he's going through, that you'd heal his body and Shannon Goodson and get Jocelyn back right, her blood sugar and everything with this new baby coming along. And, Lord, be with Mo, our friend Mo, be with my daughter Jessica, help the antibiotics to take away all the, the poison in her blood and stuff, and, just continue to move and work by the power of your Holy Spirit and, continue to, give us an appetite and desire, as we walk with you or to walk in fellowship with you. And, lord, we're looking up. We're looking at that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great god and savior. We're on tiptoes, Lord, waiting for us to be taken up like you did Enoch, Lord. And what a great example there. And that's our hope as the bride of Christ, your church. And we know no man knows the hour except except you heavenly father. But we see the sign of your coming. We see the, you know, like Noah building the ark. We see the beast system being built and judgments coming. And so when you see these things begin to come to pass and look up knowing our redemption draws nigh. So Lord, we're watching. We're ready. But no Lord, we wanna also occupy till you come. We wanna be a preacher righteous like Noah and and like Enoch, and we wanna alarm people? We wanna proclaim. We wanna shout to people that you're coming and to be ready to get ready to get into the boat, get into the ark before judgment comes. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
