Okay. Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night. We're blessed to be here tonight at Rob and Vicky's home and Brandon's home to, study, Genesis chapter four verse 16 unto the end and, Lord willing, verse 26. And, we haven't met in a few weeks because, everybody's taking vacations and guy you can't even meet, you know, during vacation. So, sorry about that. But we're not gonna be having this again until September 0, seventh. So the next few weeks, the next Monday night will be September 7 because some people are going on vacation again. So a lot of summer vacations going on. On a more serious note, we wanna pray for Maddie. Betty's granddaughter got in a car accident. And so the folks on Facebook may not know about it, but we're all gonna pray for Maddie. She got airlifted to Harborview. Also, Carl Hendrix, who flatlined seven times and is doing much better now, he had two stints. Now he's gonna get a third stint put in this Friday, so be in prayer for Carl. Friday, he's getting another stint. You don't need to pray for Kelly anymore. She's doing good. Oh, she still needs prayer. Oh, she still needs prayer. Okay. Pray for Kelly. James has a cold. Pray for James. He couldn't make it tonight. Hi, James. Alan fell a couple nights ago. Pray for him. Pray for Cora. She had to pick him up. What else? Pray for The election. No. You're quenching the spirit, Thomas. Let's see. There was James. Oh, Christita. Carl Schlemmler's wife. Remember, she fell down and broke her leg. She's trying to recover from that, and he's doing everything, all of the above. And he's watching online, might be watching tonight. And they have their daughter coming in from out of town with all the kids and everybody, so it's their heightened pressure to make sure everything's perfect. So pray for Carl and, Christina. Beautiful name, Christina. She doesn't attend our church, but he does. We'll go into that. Who else? Shannon. Shannon. Shannon. She needs more iron. She came to church yesterday and and Mike and Shannon shout out to Mike and Shannon. And she still needs a higher energy level, so I hear being a carnivore helps with iron. Right? Right? Okay. Anybody else we need to pray for? So quench. Quench. Alright. Father, we come before you, Lord, and we just lift up, first of all, Maddie, the urgency of Maddie. Lord, I watched how they airlifted Carl from, Saint Michael's over to, Seattle side and how it saved his life and everything. And we thank you for all the EMTs, all the first responders, everybody that were there to help Maddie and anybody else that was involved and we just pray that you being the great physician, that everything would go well and that she'd recover completely from this, car accident, Lord, everybody involved And Lord, we do lift up Carl Hendrix and thank you that you spared his life. We lift up him and and Sue as they are praying over his getting better and better better enough, improving enough to get this third stent put in. We pray for no complications, everything go well. Pray for my friend, Joe Monto, that you help him with the e coli that he contracted and help him to continue to improve. Lord, bless Kelly as she continues to recover, help her blood to be good and Shannon for her blood with lots of good iron. And Christina, help her leg to heal and for Carl to be able to cover all the caregiving responsibilities. And for Alan who fell and, just pray you give him good equilibrium and strength and help his knees and just bless him and bless Cora and their family and, anybody else. So Lord, we just lift up these folks and those on our prayer, request list. You know each one. And we just pray that you move and work by the power of your Holy Spirit and bless. Bless this little bible study tonight. We committed it in your hands. Bless this time as we worship you and, thank you, Lord, that we're warriors not worriers. In Jesus name, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Ancient of day. All of creation, I will do the ancient of day. Every dawn and heaven and earth declare your glory. Every reach a I'll at your throne. Ancient of day. Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto the ancient of days. Every nation, all of creation, before the ancient of day. Heaven shall declare your glory. Every knee bow at your throne. Worship you exalted, oh God, and your kingdom shall not pass away, ancient of days. Kingdom shall reign over all the earth Alright. Good lord. Now hook him up, big. I thought she was gonna slap me, but she just she just turned off the mic. That's good. She had that look. She had that look, man. So those of you that don't know on Facebook, you probably do know. I don't sing very well or clap, so it irritates musicians. So that's why she shut my mic off. And, now I'm on, so there you go. But, yeah, a big awe. A bible bible says make a joyful noise. I don't have any more joy now. Alright. Okay. Alright. Praise the lord. Man's gotta know his limitations. Right? Yeah. So well, there you go. I'm really getting a complex about that, though. Okay. So we are in, Genesis chapter four verse 16. Let's pray. Father, thank you for the sweetness. Thank you for the time that we can spend together. We missed each other. We missed this time together. And just thank you so much for Genesis four here that we're going to see in the line of Seth, that there's a people group, an emphasis, a move of your spirit, where people want to get together again, where they want to assemble to worship you. And Lord, that's what we're doing here. We've come to worship you, we've come to study your word, to pray, to break bread together, and to laugh, and to cry, and whatever else comes about, Lord. We just ask that you be glorified, that you be our teacher, that you open the scriptures to our understanding, and Lord, that we be doers of your word, not hearers only, that we make decisions, Lord, that would draw us closer to you, not further away. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Alright. So verse 15 says, and the Lord said unto him, therefore, whosoever slays king, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. So you know the story. Adam and Eve had two boys, Cain and Abel. And previously, as we learned, somewhere along the line with the coats of skins that Adam and Eve left the garden and the teaching of Genesis three fifteen that the seed of the woman, that as he would be bruised but he'd crushed the serpent's head, the Lord made it clear to the family of Adam that to restore the relationship that was sacrificed or lost due to their disobedience and partaking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that it would require that God send his only begotten son and that his heal be bruised by going to the Cross Of Calvary and that he would crush the serpent's head so he'd destroy the usurper that usurped from the first Adam. It requires the last Adam, Jesus, to come as the son of man to live a perfect life, God of creation, but also God of redemption. In order to redeem us, we redeem not, as Peter says, not with corruptible things like silver and gold, nor could we be redeemed by animals, by the blood of animals that we learn about in Hebrews and all. So they were types. They were showing telescoping future that one day Jesus would be, as John the Baptist said, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Now Cain and Abel were schooled in the gospel. The gospel was before preached later to Abraham, but as I said, Adam and Eve, God communicated the gospel to them. So righteousness is imputed to Adam and Eve and to Cain and Abel if they received by grace through faith alone God's provision for their sin as their looking future. And so, there came a time where Cain and Abel were to offer unto the Lord in an act of worship, and Cain was a farmer, and Abel, a rancher, Abel, a pastor, Abel was tending chief and all. And so Abel brought the prescribed offering, a blood sacrifice unto the Lord, a lamb, and it was received to the Lord. The Lord respected that offering because it represents future that his son would go to the cross and he'd be the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. So Cain, the way of Cain, we'll see in Jude 11. The way of Cain in Jude 11 is to be independent of God and to do things your own way and to provide false religious system, a false religious system in that I'll bring the fruit of my ground, the fruit of my own labors, and I will work, and God will have to receive this, you know. And so that's what a religious effort is. Later, when we get to chapter ten and eleven, we'll see that Nimrod was trying to teach the people in the same manner to build a pyramid up to God, man's effort to reach God, man's effort to be whole. And so that was the way of Cain, Jude 11, false religion, and the Lord rejected it. And when the Lord rejected Cain's offering, Cain became jealous, envious. First John chapter three, we'll see 11 through 12, the way of Cain is the way of hatred, way of envy, way of jealousy, way of pride, murdering your brother emanating from the heart. And so he picked up a rock and smacked his brother in the head and knocked him out, killed him, And we talked about the liberals today trying to demonize, you know, assault weapons or any kind of weapon, that the weapon's what kills people. And yet at a Burger King on Saturday, a man there carrying a weapon was able to take out a shooter that took out a couple other people. So it could have been much, much, much, much worse if there wasn't somebody there to subdue the bad guy. So it's not the guns that kill, it's the heart of man that's the problem. And the solution to the heart of man is Jesus. And until Jesus transforms and changes the whole world, everybody transforms and change, we're always going to live with the threat of evil, the threat of evil. That threat of evil is even in our hearts, Our old Adamic nature warring wait a minute, I'm a warrior, not a worrier. Warring with my old and new nature, warring against each other in Galatians five and also we see in Romans, the life Romans chapter eight, the life of the spirit, where we're able to conquer the the fleshly carnal life. And so we might think that, hey, I'm a good guy. I'm in the line of Seth or something, you know. Seth, a completion or continuation of the line of Abel, men and women who have faith. But even men and women who have faith, like David, can murder, commit adultery, and give great occasion for the enemies of Lord to blaspheme God's name. And so we want to make sure that our dependency is not upon ourselves even after fifty years of walking with the Lord, but day by day, a dependency upon the Holy Spirit, relying upon the Holy Spirit, walking by faith, not trying to substitute a walk of faith with some works of our hands. And so Jesus illustrated the Pharisees in Luke chapter 18. He prays with himself. He prides himself on tithing and going to church and doing all the religious stuff and everything. Jesus said he prayed with himself. His prayer didn't even reach heaven, you know. Very religious dude. But a publican, a hated tax collector, wouldn't so much as lift up his eyes onto heaven, smote his breast and said, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. Jesus said, this man went away justified just as if he'd never sinned. So when you and I sin, we have first John one nine as a Christian's bar of soap. Right? If he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Doesn't mean we get resaved right there. It just means that fellowship's restored because we acknowledge our weakness, we acknowledge our sinfulness, and we take advantage of God's grace, His mercy, as we approach Him at His throne of grace, the veil of the temple rent in two, we have access. And so with our mouth, we agree with the Holy Spirit, what's happening in our heart, that God, you're not done with me yet, and Lord, I want to please you. I want to live a life that's pleasing unto you. And that's the approach that Abel made before the Lord. He wasn't posturing himself as being righteous, he was simply following through with a life of faith, offering unto God in the faith of obedience what God prescribed, and trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross in the future that He that had begun a good work in me, that He's going to complete it someday. And you and I, you and I are looking for that soon return of Jesus. We're sick and tired of sinning. We're sick and tired of living in a fallen, sinful world. When we get to chapter six, we're going to see that the degradation of man moves so quickly that God says in Genesis six, that it repented me that I made man for the thoughts and intents of man's heart were only evil continually. And it repented God. He's like, man, what did I get started here? You know? And so God prescribed a way to kind of start over, if you will, and with Noah and the flood and wiping out all the people that have been rebelling against him and preserving a good seed through the family of Noah and, continuing with the promise of Genesis three fifteen, the first place of the gospel, going forth. And so, Cain and Abel, raised in a Christian home, each one has a choice. Each one. Each of your kids have a choice. And there's no grandparents, grandchildren in heaven except mine. But, each child has to go, on their own. Grandparents can't go for them and gather the manna. Parents can't go gather the manna, the manna being the bread of life. Each and every child of God, once they reach the place of accountability and what that age is, maybe bar mitzvah age 13, whatever, where they reach a place of responsibility, now they have to make their profession of faith their own. Now they have to demonstrate with a life of repentance, obedience, adherence, surrender, and walking in humility with the Lord as the parents provide the example. Adam and Eve provide a good example. And I would think Adam and Eve never got rid of those coats of skins that the Lord clothed them with, you know, and reminded them that the fig leaves didn't really save them. The fig leaves were only a religious effort that God rejected, the trying to cover their own nakedness. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord, And so God does not receive the work of our hands, the work of our righteousness, the rationalizing, the excuse making, the blaming, the self justification and all, nor does God grade on the curve. Do you know what that means? I may be bad, but I'm not as bad as you. And you're a murderer and, you're a lying, filthy dude And I tithe and I give and I go to church and my name's in the role and I sing at church. I'm in the worship team and, you know, I even get to be the pastor sometimes when pastor's gone. So I'm going to get there because I do good things. I'm a good guy. And, although I cheated on my wife and and, did some other bad things, I'm still not as bad as you. So God's gonna let me in. But that isn't it. The wages of sin is death. You can 613 precepts in the old testament law when the law comes along. And, James will remind us, you can you can be righteous in all points and you sin in one point, you're guilty of it all. So the wages, Romans three twenty three, the wages of sin is death. Death is eternal separation from God. That's why a man must be born again, born of the spirit and body, soul and spirit. And so, Cana, some kids just don't get it. They just don't get it. And that deeply, deeply grieves my heart. I cannot comprehend it. I cannot comprehend unbelief of family members, of friends, of people that have seen you when you were blind, when you were a drug addict, when you're alcoholic, when you were at your worst, and then God transforms and changes you. There's undeniable proof from your testimony that there's a God and that he's powerful and that he's powerful enough to transform. And all these guys are looking for transhumans. They're trying to figure out how to transform. I'll tell them how to transform them. Get them born again, you know. They need to be born of the spirit, born from above. And the devil's a counterfeit. He's always counterfeiting God's idea. So God says, If any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. The old things are passed away, all things have become new. So the newness of life and the newness of the blessing of being a new creation in Christ Jesus. I have to say this too. I'm sick and tired of Christian children making excuses. Kathy and I were raised in an unbelieving home, a radically unbelieving home. And we've never made any excuses about what losers we are. We don't blame our parents for whatever we do as adults or since that point in time. That's called therapy. That's called psychology. That's called the life from the pit of hell. And a lot of our kids are caught up in it. And what it's rooted in is rebellion. They're rebelling against God. And when they rebel against God, then they lack peace, they lack joy, they lack the blessing that God wants bestow upon them in that Christian home and all. And a mom and a dad that intercede, a grandma and grandpa that intercede, they're interceding to try and bring that cane back around. Before that cane, the bible talks about him, the way of Cain, you know? Catch this kid before he goes bad, you know? And so you pray their whole life long, hoping and praying that someday they'll come back to that place of repentance. But it's just so sad how how jealous, how envious your siblings can be when you're like Abel and you choose to honor God, when you choose to live the Christian life, and when mom and dad die, you watch how the unbelieving siblings, what they do, how angry they are about you, how jealous they are. It all comes out. It all comes out in the in the dividing of the inheritance. They go crazy. They go crazy, man. You were mom's favorite. You were dad's favorite and all. No, I wasn't. All I did is follow Jesus. I just followed Jesus. I followed the example they set to follow Jesus. You rejected Jesus. You went your own way. Well, they loved you more than me. It's a bunch of baloney. It's a bunch of baloney, and they try to use all that stuff to evade their own responsibility before God. So don't let them trip you out and mess you over that somehow it was your fault, and that's just the whole way of Cain. That's a whole false religious system. And Cain has a chance. Cain has a chance to repent. Sin's crouching at the door, Cain. You know, if you're not careful, it's going to take you over, you know. The devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. You have a chance. You have a chance to repent, to turn from your sin and come back and get right with God. So quit blaming mom and dad. I've had it up to here. I just the whole church is filled, not the whole church, but a lot of churches are filled with adults who are still in the past blaming somebody that hurt them. Well, welcome to the human race. We've all been hurt. Some of us choose to not dwell on it. We choose to move forward. We don't want to give that hurt power. We don't want to perpetuate that hurt and keep being hurt every day. We want to move on. God has so much something so much better for me. That's why I'm so glad he saved me out of that. So it's just like it's he saved me. I don't have to don't have to be, you know, an alcoholic with an alcoholic family, you know? God's teaching me the right way. And so it's the gospel. We present the gospel, The power of God unto salvation to transform and change a person. And it hasn't changed. There's no new knowledge. There's no new system or pill or methodology or religion to make you reach the place of nirvana or perfection. It's all smoke and mirrors. It's the devil deceiving people. And Jesus, the Creator, if he needed help with Freud and Reud at the time in which we're living, you know, he'd have put it in this book. Know, he doesn't need their help. He doesn't need man's methodology to make you whole, okay? Nor does he need the pharmaceutical companies to, change your brain. So you've got an organic brain, it can be diseased and that it might, you know, might need some meds or something, to a certain degree, but your behavior, your thinking, your mind, your mind, no, there's no diseased mind. Your mind's not diseased. There's no pill to fix your diseased mind. Your mind is the center of the mind, the will, the emotions. That's the soul. The soul is depraved, the soul is fallen, and so you need to be born again. You need to receive the Holy Spirit in your heart and life, and you need to be transformed in your mind to be changed, and change from glory to glory, a metamorphosis. And the word of God in a church or a Bible study or a people that read the word of God, be not conformed to this world. Conformity to the world, you're following the world system. And Cain is going to develop a Canaanite worldly system. Nimrod's going to follow a worldly system. The Antichrist is going to present a pseudo Christianity, which is a satanic worldly system, a Luciferian worldly system. So when we come to Cain, he's the first murderer, he's a liar, and Cain went out from the presence of the Lord. That's always a bad start when you go out from the presence of the Lord. Jesus has promised me that he'll never leave me nor forsake me. Jesus has promised your prodigal son or daughter that's trying to go out from the Lord. The Holy Spirit's the hound of heaven. The Holy Spirit's there with them in all the pigpens they've ever been in. The Holy Spirit's there. And your prayers, your prayers are powerful, your prayers are efficacious, your prayers, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man or woman avails much. You're in a spiritual battle, there's demons trying to destroy them, but there's also angels, guardian angels who some of our kids, their guardian angels are worn out. It's been a hard job, you know. And I bet you they're going to talk to them someday. But in any event, we have help. We parents aren't alone. We have help. And God's entrusted these kids to us. God knew before he formed them that they'd rebel. And I believe in some cases, in some ways, it reminds us of the way that we've rebelled against God, the way we turn our backs upon him and how it broke his heart when he said, Adam, where are you? Where are you, Adam? Where you been? Where you been, bro? And it wasn't the voice of arresting officers, Pastor Chuck says, but of a heartbroken father. The father of the prodigal was heartbroken, but he recognized the free moral agency of his son and he allowed his son, who was an adult, to make his own decisions. And even in making the wrong decisions, he was ready, he was looking out the window, he was waiting for the day that his son would turn in repentance and head back toward home, and that's where God ran. God ran toward that son once he saw him make that 180 turn back toward home. And he didn't read them the riot act, he didn't condemn them, he loved Donham, he kissed his neck, he gave him a ring signifying, you know, sonhood and all, and ownership and a part of the family. He gave them a righteous robe, took off all the slave clothes, the filthiness and all that. Kind of like the demoniac, you know, they were naked, they were shrieking, they were chained, and no man could control them. They're powerful. And the Lord Jesus comes around who's even more powerful. You got to bind the strong man. And the Lord Jesus comes along and sends those demons out of those guys there at Gadara, at the tombs, and it says they were clothed and they were in their right mind. Devil is seeking to destroy people's minds, demonic possession and oppression. And we look at it as as, because of the culture we're in, as a mental illness. It's not your mind is not diseased. It's a part of your soul. It's a part of your fallen nature in rebellion against God. As soon as you turn back toward God, he's going to wash you, cleanse you, reclothe you and give you a sound mind. God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, Thomas. Yeah, it sounds like a song there. Yeah. A warrior, not a worrier. Amen. The word carnal means fleshly. We try to operate on the level of the flesh, on the human level, to deal with our kids, to deal with people and all the reasoning in the world doesn't get through. We know the spiritual side. We say, Honey, you need to be in the word. Honey, you need to be at church. You need to be with God's people. Honey, find a Bible study. Honey, put the Lord first again. Seek the Lord. Seek first the kingdom of God and his rights, and all these other things be added to thee. We know the solution is vertical. We know the solution is in their walking relationship with the Lord. But if they persist in rebellion, if they walk away from the presence of the Lord, like Cain here, and they dwell in the land of Nod, the word Nod, the land of Nod is the wanderer. Cain is going to be a wanderer. Now, Abraham and Sarah are described as pilgrims and sojourners passing through. The nomadic lifestyle, the lifestyle of of, not embracing this world as your home, of recognizing you're looking for a city whose foundation is from God, builder and maker, the foundation from God. That's Abraham and Sarah, men and women of faith, your citizenship being in heaven. Basically, you're walking through this life with a light hold on the things of the world, you know, and you're just passing through because you recognize this earth in its present condition is not your home. And it's okay to be that way, but you're walking in faith everywhere Abraham went, he's going to build altars. He's going to be a worshiper wherever he goes. And even when he goes down into Egypt, he's still a worshiper. Even when he goes in disobedience and unbelief, he's still a worshiper of God and God corrects him and draws him back once again. That's the life of the believer. That's how it is being a believer. But for Cain, he's moving East of Eden. If Eden, to me, is the place where God is and the Shekinah glory of God is shining right there at the gate, I'm staying right there. I'm staying near where the glory comes out, right? The spout where the glory comes out, that's where I'm staying, right? And I want to be washed and immersed in the light and stay as close to the Lord as I can. And I don't want to wander. I don't want to backslide. I don't want to be connected to Jesus and to watch the anchor be lifted and the cord that binds me to him be removed and I start imperceptively drift as the writer of Hebrews says. Imperceptively you're drifting. You don't even recognize it. And you're getting further and further away from the Lord. And any of you guys have that happen to you? You may not recognize it, but your wife does. She recognizes that you're drifting. That what's happening? Why why are you why are you so distant? Let me see your phone. Why do you have two phones? What are you doing? And the Lord puts our wives and our husbands, some of you have both, I don't know, your kids. God uses my kids. God uses my children sometimes in my life to remind me, hey daddy, are we going to church? Daddy, I want to go to church. Why did we miss? I want to go to Sunday school. And you've got to try real hard to backslide. I mean, reject you've got the Lord over a period of time and allow that callous to get harder and harder and harder on your heart. And in some ways, it may be imperceptible, but in other ways, it's a conscious decision you're making over and over to not spend time with Jesus. When you're in love with somebody, it's effortless to spend time with them. You just wanna be in their presence. You wanna be there. And he hasn't he's not the one that moved. You moved. You drifted. You wandered. And I see my high school reunions and that sort of thing as kind of a picture of Egypt for me. Egypt being the type of the world, my BC days. And there are many, many, many of the people that I went to school with that are Christians now. And it's so heartwarming to fellowship with them on Facebook and go see them after forty years and stuff like that. But there's also a whole group of people when I've physically gone to the reunion that deeply, deeply grieves my heart and the music deeply grieves my heart, because it's it's dead. It's just deadness. And it reminds me of when I was distant from the Lord. And there's nothing that edifies. There's nothing edifying about it. There's nothing that builds me up spiritually about it. I look at the sea of people, a bunch of people there, drinking and lost and the whole thing, and I think, God, they just got to get to know Jesus. Jesus has something so much better than this. You know, this was a phase I went through, you know, in high school. These guys are still in high school. They haven't grown at all. They're still the same. And it always blows my mind when I see that in action. And if you've ever worked construction, I had to work I worked construction for a couple years when we were first planting this church, and I must have heard Stairway to Heaven a million times. These jokers are still playing that music. And she's and I'm just like dying, dying. Just like you guys, God has something so much more than this. But maybe it triggers some thought when you kiss so and so at the prom, I don't know. But I married my high school sweetheart, so it doesn't do that for me. But so Dwelt in the land of Nod upon the East Of Eden. So God's given me something so much better than the past. I don't yearn for the past. Oh, those good old days. Yeah, when you're waking up barfing. Yeah, those are the good old days. And Cain knew his wife, so Cain has a wife. Now this is the secular people say, where did Cain get his wife? I want you guys to answer that. That's a pretty basic question for your workers and everybody. I'll give you a hint. 54. 4. Pray. 54. We got a winner. Vicky's going to teach you there. What you do? Genesis five four. What's the commentary there, Vicky? After Seth was born, Adam lived eight hundred years and had other sons and daughters. So he had a lot more children. A lot more children than just Cain and Abel. So time had gone on to cultivate and have more kids, alright? They're not cohabitating with aliens or people from other planets or And then that brings up another question. So I thought incest was wrong. How would you answer that? Leviticus 89, the law wasn't there yet. There was no law yet. So how would you explain the physiological physiologically, we know there's dangers in, incestuous relationships. So God and the law protects us from the eventuality of children that would be born through an incestuous relationship that, may not have all the right chromosomes, right? So how would you respond? Why was it okay at this point? The gene pool is pure. As time goes on, the gene pool degrades. And so at this point in time, God's protecting them, getting, as Steve said, be fruitful and multiply. And, so the the latter consequences of a of degrading. Remember how he said, The day you eat of it, shall surely die? There's a degradation. Death is taking place in the human race. Man only lives, you know, 100 years old right now. These guys are living 800, 900 years old. Their genes are the closest to perfect, you know, and then it begins to dwindle. So these guys today that think that they're going to come up with the Fountain of Youth and the secret of how we can live forever. Jared Kushner's son-in-law, they're dreamers. They're mistaken. They're not going to be able to do that. So the Canaanite civilization, interestingly, is the artistic technocrats, technology. We're going to see technology in this Canaanite civilization. These aren't, like when I went to school, they had the monkeys and then, not the band, but these monkeys And then they had these Neanderthal guys, you know, like cavemen, you know, and it shows the evolving, getting better and bigger and everything. You know, we watched The Flintstones every day. We saw it. It was fact. It was real. And want to cry out, Wilma. No, won't do it. But I do like his ribs, Flintstone's ribs. Those hooked me. Those are big. Oh, are big. Oh, big time. All right. So back to the study. So these guys walking away, the gene pool, they're very intelligent, extremely intelligent. Think of how intelligent Adam was to name all the animals. And you say, well, if he was that intelligent, why did he eat the forbidden fruit? How would you answer that? Why? Why? He loved his wife so much. It's the woman you gave me. Kelly's like, yeah? Yeah. And the woman said It's the serpent. The serpent's fall. Blame game. But Adam's intelligent. Adam wasn't tricked by the devil. God wants you to be intelligent. God wants you to be in the know. God doesn't want you to be tricked during this time that we're living right now when everything's deception. Everything you see out there and hear on Fox News, all of it is embedded in demonic deception. The only place this week you're going to hear truth is at Calvary Bremerton yesterday and right here. That's the only truth you can bank on. You have to vet and prove everything now, especially with AI. We get tripped up and they're so the devil has so many tools at his hands to deceive us today. We've got to be really on our game as far as being students of God's word and be men and women of God's word, be intelligent from the standpoint knowledge puffs up, love edifies, but we need a good, healthy knowledge of who is Jesus. Not facts about him, but who is he. So you have to ask yourself, how well did Adam know God at that point in time? How well did he know him? How well did he know his wife Eve? You know, he named her and all. And so sometimes sometimes we follow the heart and our head is telling us don't, don't, don't. Listen to your head. There's consequences. There's consequences in following lust. There's consequences and those consequences think about those consequences. If I do this, what's the train of circumstances that's going to happen? Your sin will find you out, right? God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Do you really want to go down that road? You know what I mean? So God gives us examples of David. God gives us examples of Peter. God gives us examples of the hall of faith, all the people in the hall of faith that blew it, but God edits it out because God sees them as righteous because of their faith. Right? But we don't want to go down that route of slaying an Egyptian to serve the Lord, Moses being a murderer. We don't want to be out in the deserts of Midian, you know, tending Jethro's sheep, so to speak, being emptied of Egypt. I'm 80 years old now, Mo. Now you get a chance to serve the Lord at 80 years old. The children of Israel, they doubted the Lord. They disbelieved. They didn't believe in him. They spent forty years wandering. You don't want to wander for forty years. You want to enter into the Promised Land as soon as you can. You don't want to be and the devil is preying on Christian dumb right now because we are so stupid. Twenty five years of churches not teaching the Bible, relying upon programs and marketing schemes to draw nickels and noses to make it a business. But 27% of the Bible's prophecy, less than 2% of the churches today are concerned about the second coming of Christ, His kingdom come, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Only 2% of the people, even many who pray that prayer. It's irrelevant today, they might say. Excuse me? You know, we're talking Jesus coming for his bride. And Jesus coming for his bride in first John three, two and three, beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be. But we know that when he shall appear, that appear, he's coming, that we shall be like him, for we shall know him as he is. And he that has this hope in him, what hope? Titus two thirteen, looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior, Jesus Christ. He that has that hope in him purifies himself, keeps you pure, keeps you ready. You're not gonna be filthy in the world. You're gonna be ready because you're a student of prophecy. You have the knowledge and you have the heart. Your heart's knit with heaven and Jesus has gone to heaven to prepare a place for you. So you don't want to live in the pigpen. You don't want to waste any time. You don't want to go in circles. Imagine how hard it was for Caleb and Joshua. You stupid people. We could have been in there already, you know? But the 10 spies that came back with an unbelievable report poisoned the hearts and minds of the rest of the people, and they're ready to stone Moses, right? Or stone Joshua. Moses already on Mount Nebo. But just so tragic. Unbelief is just so incredibly tragic. And so he's wandering away from the presence of the Lord, East Of Eden, and I don't want to live so close to the world that I'm living on the fence, where I want as much of the world as I can, but I still want the Lord. I don't want to be lukewarm. I don't want to be just saved. I want to be completely saved. I want that salvation to be operative in the present tense, where He's transformed and changed me and given me power over the world, the flesh, the devil. Sin not having dominion over me. I don't want to be a carnal Christian. Fleshly, that's what carnal means, carnal. Paul addressed the church of Corinth. Are you not carnal? He's addressing them as Christians, but you're not spirit filled Christians. You're not unbelievers either. You're Christians, but you're carnal Christians. And carnal Christians, we don't know which ones are saved and which ones are not. Only God knows because they look like the world. They act like the world. Are you not carnal? I'm of Paul. I'm of Apollos. I'm of Cephas. They're is Christ divided? You know? And he says, you know, I can't give you meat, Paul says in, you know, Hebrews five and six. I can't give you meat. I can't give you the good food because you're just babes in Christ still. First Corinthians three, you're babes, you're carnal, you're fleshly. I've seen brand new believers have an exponential growth rate. It's like a baby. Can you keep that baby a baby? Not if they got mama's milk. The most nutritious food on the planet. So you as a new babe in Christ, you desire the sincere milk of the word. You don't need psychology. The sincere milk of the word is going help you to grow. The Lord's going to factor in some veggies, mix in some veggies. He's going to mix in some meat later when you got some teeth, when you can start to chew. And then he's going to teach you about what it means to meditate upon God's word. Meditating on God's word is kind of I'll give an example. It's kind of like for me, it's I've always got a cookie under my pillow and sometimes I just put it in my mouth and I just let it sit there. And I just let it kind of dissolve in my mouth, you know. No, that's not it. It's a Psalm one meditation and it's not an Eastern mysticism or an Eastern religion meditation of vain chanting and vain repetition. It's illustrated it's illustrated, I've heard many times that cows have five stomachs, right? And the cows chew. You chew on it, you chew on a passage. Sometimes you do an overview of a book or an overview of a chapter, overview of a few verses. And other times you stop, it arrests you, it stops you. You ask questions, you ask the Lord questions about this verse. You allow the Lord to speak to your heart where it might be applicable in your life. And then you ask the Lord for help. Lord, I see the truth. I hear your voice and Lord, now I need your help. I need you to change my heart, Lord, because I recognize that I don't have the power to apply this to my life. But Lord, you can change me, you can empower me, you can help me moment by moment, day by day to walk in obedience with you, Lord. And so we meditate on these truths. We allow these truths to become a part of our life, a part of who we are. And we memorize scripture, but it goes a little deeper than just the head. It comes to the heart. It's a part of my heart, and it begins to transform and change me. My character begins to change because I'm acting upon the word of God. And so the picture of the cow is they chew on the grass and it goes into his stomach and then the cud comes up out of that stomach and goes chew and they're chewing, they're squeezing more and more of the juice, more and more of the nourishment that they can get out of it and then it goes into the next stomach, the next stomach and a picture of meditation. And that's a lot of times I feel bad for people that prepare food for me because I eat so fast I don't even taste it, you know? And Kathy will say, Rick, chew. Chew it, Rick. How did that taste, Rick? I don't know. It just went down the gullet, man. And sometimes I'm so hungry that I take a little breath right when I'm doing that first bite, and it goes into my lung. And I'm like coughing up a lung. You know? I'm the only one that's ever done that. But But cookies, I just got to have a lot of them. Milk. And Job said, I steam the word of God more than my necessary food. We recognize physical appetite. We recognize emotional appetite. The soul has appetites. God made you with senses, five senses. And God gave you a hunger drive. God gave you a drive for water, God gave you a drive for air. And fortunately, some of these drives that we have, we don't even have to think about because if we did, we'd quit breathing. Breathe, Rick, breathe. Okay, I forgot. Okay. But then there's other ones, we're thinking about them. And the flesh has an appetite and Jesus was tempted in all points like we and yet without sin. He demonstrated that you can be in this human body and it has that desire for water and he's thirsty and he goes to Jacob's well and there's a woman there to give him some water, and he's weary. He knows what happens when these bodies get tired. Tempted in all points like we, and yet without sin, demonstrating victory over those appetites, that those appetites, and Satan said, if you're the son of God, command that these stones be made bread, right? It is written, man shall not live by bread alone. That's not the priority. My physical needs, my physical appetites, well God made me this way. He knew I'd have to exercise these things. He's the one that made me this way. Well, he might have made you that way, but you're in a fallen nature, your body's in a fallen condition and he has a new nature he wants to give you to give you so you don't live on the animal plane. Body and soul is living like an animal. Well, God wants to elevate you so that you're living on a spiritual plane and then your life comes into harmony. And so we recognize Adam's smart, but he's also really stupid. You're smart, but you're stupid. I don't is not all that smart. Cain could be brilliant and be a genius and get the Nobel Peace Prize, but anybody that walks away from the Lord is not too bright. Walking away from that light. So Cain knew his wife and she conceived and bore Enoch and he built a city, so the first city. So you go from the garden, now you're wandering away and you get a wife, you start a family, and now you're going to build a city. And you might be pro city, you might be anti city, you've got to determine whether you want to live in the burbs, the suburbs, or whether you want to live in Downtown Seattle, Downtown Bremerton, urbanite, the smart cities that are coming, bringing everybody in. So he builds the first city. Now, from a city standpoint, there's a whole lot of evil that can be in a city, but there can be some good churches right next to the bar. Really good, strong, spirit filled churches. Great place to catch some people reaching the end of their run, right? We don't have to isolate ourselves and only be in the Christian community. We're to be fishers of men. The Apostle Paul, you'll notice, he went to the biggest cities to start churches to preach the gospel. And then from those large cities like Charles Spurgeon in London, a bunch of little churches start to sprout up in the burbs, you know, surrounding it. So it begins to spread out. But the highest concentration of people, the fish we're trying to catch, in many cases, are in the cities. And but God will send you as a missionary to reach just one, to reach just one person way out there on some farm, way far away, you know, wherever it may be, in a foreign country, whatever. So he's got his people everywhere. But he built a city and he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. And so Leviticus eighteen nine says we're not to practice incest. He's getting past that. There's no law yet. The gene pool's good, and they got good, healthy children. Spiritually speaking, we don't know where they're at yet. And unto Enoch was born Eirad, and his name means city. And Eirad begot Mehujael, and begot Mehushael Mehushael begot Lamech. And so notice the rapid growth, rapid growth, prolific. This is like Wayne and Brittany, prolific growth, prolific growth. A baby every time they come together, every time, baby. And I'm not complaining. Seven grandkids. Praise the Lord. What a gift from God. Want me to tell you some grandkids stories? You tired of them? No. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. And rapid growth and Mehu Shael, his name means God made me live. So in this line of Cain, you have some children who are believers. Where sin does abound, grace does much more abound. There's no such thing as a godly line or an ungodly line where everyone that emanates from that guy is going to hell. Where everyone from Seth's line is going to heaven. No such thing. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So it's not a if we were speaking in terms of predestination or election, that sort of a thing, there isn't just the godly line of Seth, the repeat or the continuation of Abel to where now everyone from Seth is going to be saved. No. There are going to be unbelievers interspersed everywhere. There's going be sheep, there's going be goats, there's be weep, there's going be tares, there's to be wolves. You're going to constantly be battling with the devil. There's no point in U. S. History where the entire nation was Christian. No point in history of America where you didn't have the Masonics and all the different Illuminati and all the different Satanists trying to destroy this country and at the same time Christians in churches refusing to compromise, exposing the evil and the Holy Spirit, because the church was salt and light, held back the globalists from their demonic designs. They've been trying this from the Garden of Eden. And the only way they succeed is if Christians become dumb, fall away, carnal, lukewarm, when Christians professing fall in love with the world. Another way to describe it is when Christians, according to two Thessalonians two verse three, fall away. Apostasize. And in that apostasia, in that falling away, it presents a period of time for the Antichrist to be revealed because the salt and light of the church is good for nothing but to be trodden under the foot of men. That time is here, that falling away. And when you look at any church, any church, every church has unbelievers sitting in the pews. Every church. They may all claim to be a Christian but every church. I would like to whittle that down. My responsibility was to whittle it down to where I can look at every single person in that room and know that I know that I know that they're saved. To have confirmation in my heart, I know these people are saved, Lord. Sometimes Kathy will talk about, you know, there's a constant flow of in and out of people and sometimes she'll talk about, well maybe this family will come back someday. She'll say to me, we don't want them to come back. They'll cause trouble. Well maybe God's got a hold of them now. Maybe they won't cause trouble. No, things are good right now Rick. Let them enjoy where they're at. That's wisdom. That's really sweet wisdom. We can't please everybody. And when we're in a season where we're not fighting with each other and dividing and killing each other, that's a good season. Don't rock the boat. I mean, let's focus on unbelievers getting them saved because the ones that get saved, they're so thankful they just got saved, they don't want to cause any trouble. It's usually these people that think they're so smart. They want to change everything or whatever. Or they're just so incredibly in love with the world they have they don't have the capacity to grow. They're not teachable. They they don't want to hear about prophecy or the return of the Lord and things like that. Well, can we appease them? How can we keep them? The only way we can keep them is you can't mention Donald Trump's name anymore. Well, you're tying my hands, man. He's building the beast system. Well, pastor, you're the only one mentioning his name. Well, Billy Crone is now. Brendan Holthus is starting to now. That's just ahead of the curve. Now they're starting to but before that, I had to take a lot of hits. You think I didn't know how to grow the church? You didn't think I know how to wear a mega hat and jump on board like Jack and the rest of them? Make America great? Church would grow. But I'd be lying to myself and to you. I knew it was a trick. I knew the devil was masquerading as an angel of light. I can't even comprehend the conversation about Fauci and not mention Trump in the same sentence. I can't fathom the distraction from Epstein to now Fauci to not even mention Palantir and Peter Thiel and where did J. D. Vance come from? Can anybody think? He's a product of Peter Thiel. He's a product of the technocrats. He even changed his name. He's not even J. D. Vance. That beard he has is phony. I'm just kidding. But people think people think that, oh, President Trump got us out of the World Health Organization. So what? Where is it going? Where are we headed? Pharmaceutical dominance? Sorcery? All of your medical is going to be tracked and traced and put on a biometric ID? Where do you think we're going? Who initiated the warp speed jab? The Department of Defense, Fort Detrick building and developing the COVID vaccine for years before they unleashed it. Who's the salesman for it? Donald J. Trump. They need a salesman. Give me two weeks. Give me two weeks to lower the curve. Give him two weeks. You like them. Oh, we're gonna go past the two weeks. Shame and belittle anybody that doesn't get jabbed. Put pressure on everybody that they're going to take that jab. People have amnesia? Did you forget all that? How can you make Fauci the scapegoat without mentioning your own government the funding of the jab? Warts feed jab. Never has anybody ever got it done this fast. Not till me. And what? You're gonna make him Teflon? None of it sticks? That's just the epitome of idiocy. Why would I wanna run with that crowd? Why would I wanna run-in that? What? So for a few more months, I can have a bigger church? It's all ending. It's over. Jesus is coming again. The beast system is being built. Your only hope is the rapture, man. You know? It ain't coming back. But, man, they want to melt it as long as they can. And then, oh, well, they're those guys are getting more in-depth on certain prophecies in the beast system and the technocrat. Well, we can't talk about that. Our people will be on let's talk about the prophecies that we've been talking about forever. Well, which one would tie in with Fox News? Well, Ezekiel thirty eight and thirty nine. We we're demonizing Iran, you know. We're gonna sell wars. So let's demonize Iran. Iran has the fastest growing church in the world right now. You won't hear anything about that. But in order to sell war, to implode the economy, Japan's teetering in their economy right now. Teetering. Europe's teetering. We're at the cusp. We're at the edge of the economy imploding. The very edge. And energy and helium for the for the chips. The of you don't think the most superpower on the planet can cause oil to flow from the Strait Of Hormuz? That you're gonna allow it to be clogged by the Iranians? Are you kidding me? Well, what's the modus operandi of that? To make shortages, Shortages of energy, shortages of helium, shortages of nitrogen, which is used for fertilizer for food, food shortages, energy shortages. Wait a minute. Texas has two hundred years of oil. Why don't you why don't you build the reserves in America instead of depleting the reserves right now to keep oil, you know, gasoline prices normal before the people catch on? Why don't you just go gangbusters if it were true about the Strait Of Hormuz, why don't you go gangbusters and building refineries instead of blowing them up so you can't refine your your oil into diesel and gasoline and energy and and quit blowing up all the food processing plants to create a crisis of food, stop Bill Gates from making mealworms and crickets and stuff. Think. Think. Don't just act like juvenile idiots and say we're gonna vote them in for a fourth term. Why would I jump on board with that? I know too much. I can see right through it. So should you. You should be able to see right through it. This this has happened over and over and over again. Are they gonna trick you again with COVID? You're gonna really bite and think Fauci did it himself? Ghislain Maxwell, she's the only one arrested and she gets a pardon on the Epstein stuff. Nobody's talking about Epstein now. Now we got Fauci. We're gonna give the people someone to hate because they couldn't keep quiet about all the people dying and not from COVID but from the jab. Died suddenly, a genocide of people and young people being sterilized and children being sterilized and diseased from bundling vaccines. The best thing that could come out of this COVID Fauci thing is parents not allowing their children to be vaccinated. Not trusting doctors to bundle vaccines and cause neurological problems. Five thousand percent increase. Where we're watching these children, their neurological system not strong enough yet to handle the mercury and the aluminum, the adjunct that delivers these vaccines bundled nine, ten at a time. Before they're two years old, 50 some, 60 some, 70 some different vaccines. So what's the consequence of so many kids developmentally disabled from the very moment they receive the shot? Nobody's talking about that. So I personally would rather hang out with people that wanna think, that want to learn, that wanna keep learning, that don't wanna go the way of Cain, that aren't gonna settle for anything less than God's best. And it's It's brutal. It's a battle because you love these people but you can't reach them. You can't get through them. They've already made up their mind. Got a good gene pool here. And then Enoch was born Eirad, and Eirad begot Mehu'el, and Jael begot Mu'ashael, and Mujah'ashad begot Lamek. Lamek means conqueror. Lamek is the warrior, Thomas wrote his song about. A warrior, a conqueror, that's what his name means. And yet, there's a couple believers here. And Lamech took unto him two wives. Cain's got a wife, I'm going take two wives. I'm going to bring in bigamy. I'm going to start the Mormon church here. Sometimes I get frustrated and I say to Kath, I should have had two wives. Which one would you love better? And she says, you can't handle the one you got. How could you handle two? What guy could handle two wives? What a boast there. Now the Hebrew interpreters, they interpret this as their names here. The name of the one was Ada, and the name of the other Zillah. Ada means adorned. She's beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful woman. And the name of the other, Zilla, which means shade or tingle. She makes me tingle. So the Hebrew guys, they say that one is to be your wife to bear children, and the other one is for pleasure. She makes me tingle. So in many cultures, the Jewish husbands, all different cultures, they could have a wife for bearing children. And I've had some customers in the past that had this arrangement, and then they have a condo that they rent for their mistress. And the wife recognizes in their culture that, oh, he's just getting his wiggles out. I'm going to keep the home stable and the kids, the grandkids and all that. And then later he's going to you know, she's not getting everything. I'm staying here. He's just satisfying his wiggles. And there's cultures like that. I'm not saying it's by design or God's way of doing things. It's a lie from the pit of hell, actually. It's giving over to lust. Lamech says, I've got two wives. I'm a conqueror. I'm a warrior. I'm a man's man. I can handle two women. And Ada bore Jabal, and he was the father of such as dwelling tents. So you've got cities, then you've got those that dwell in tents, the nomadic type people, the Bedouins. And they like to, in many cases, be ranchers, be shepherds, pastors. And they wouldn't raise just sheep, they'd raise donkeys and camels and have big herds. And nowadays, Pastor Chuck used to say that these Bedouins with their tents and their oriental rugs when they set up their homes and stuff, they got satellite dishes too. They try to stay connected with the technology. And I imagine Elon Musk gets them the Stargate thing, know, the Starlight thing. So they've got all the soccer games and everything else, you know, on their TVs and innovators. Now you and I, we can get the gospel out to these people because of the technology. And so an innovator. So Ada Jabil, and dwell in tents, and as such as have cattle, so the pastoral, the ranchers, all the food. So Abraham was like this. He was a shepherd. Lot was a shepherd with Abram till he got tired and went into Sodom and Gomorrah. Amos was a farmer. The disciples, the majority of them were fishermen. Jesus is a shepherd, right? So David was a shepherd boy, and John the Baptist lived out in the fields. Locusts and wild honey. Jesus spent a lot of time out underneath the stars. Garden Of Gethsemane. Foxes have holes, bearded their hair have nests. The son of man has nowhere to lay his head. And then it says, and brother's name was Jubal, and he was the father of all such as handle the harp and the pipe. So here you've got music and you've got the crack pipe. No, no. You've got musical instruments. First occasion of the crack pipe right here. No, just kidding. Just kidding. No. You've got wind instruments and you have string instruments. And Jubal, look how quickly. So we talked about the Canaanite civilization being artistic and technocratic. After this one, you're going to have the metallurgists, those working with metals for tools and for weapons. So a very advanced civilization early on. Now, the technocrats today, the ones that want to be really smart and have the advantage technologically, they delve into the occult to be taught by demons to gain advantages like Adolf Hitler and many did around World War II to try and get advantages concerning the atomic energy and various technologies. So you think of the demons as being students, you think of Satan as being student all throughout history, the things that they know, and if God allows it, can some of that technology be gleaned? Or even musicians, can I be famous by selling my soul for rock and roll, you know? What kind of doors open as a result of turning your back upon God and turning toward the devil? The devil can make you wealthy. The devil can give you insights into technology that's gonna make you wealthy. These guys fast, they take LSD, they take peyote, they take all kinds of psychotropic drugs to try and get into the spiritual realm so that demons will tell them they get blocked like a writer's block, and they stay in San Jose, they stay in these places to gain an advantage. They're looking for an advantage. They're looking for a way to make the chips smaller or, you know, a whole new technology and with AI, with Grok, with ChatGPT, you know, all of it. They're searching and it's growing exponentially now. It's growing. It's outdistancing itself. And so I've been told, I don't know if this is true, that the technology you see today, that it's forty years behind as far as what you see of what's available. They're forty years ahead of us with their technology. It doesn't immediately come out into the public place. So sometimes when you think of these fires in Spokane, in Lahaina, in Paradise Valley, you see the hurricanes, you see the weather wars, There's technology being used, satellite technology. One of the technologies is called direct energy weapons. So you've got microwaving, you've got lasers, you've got ways of starting fires. Unprecedented, You've never had fires like this in your whole lifetime, wiping out whole housing tracts and whole communities. And on Lahaina, if Oprah Winfrey has a blue roof, it doesn't touch her roof. So what is it about the technology that blue, the laser, the colored laser doesn't affect some the blue, you know? And what is it about the smart meters in people's homes where people claim the fire emanated from the inside and people that check it out recognize it's the wiring from the smart meters that were overheated that caused the explosion. And how can there be a tree over here that's unscathed? But, you know what I mean? So you can't explain it. It's technology. You're being lied to. There's weaponry. And the weather technology that Dane Whittington tries to educate us on, geoengineering.org, He's been trying forever to educate people on the chemtrails and the HARP technology out of Alaska, the ability to take microwaving and electromagnetic pulse weapons to move storms, to take a storm that God made and where it's small, and to make the ionization in the atmosphere move more rapidly and it can either cause more precipitation, more rain, or it can cause, as it's being pushed, it's being pushed from an area that was going to get rain, but now it's in a desert area. It's not getting any rainfall. And that's weather manipulation that we've had since the fifties as weather warfare and it's being used here. This is technology. I heard today Kathy's getting really into copper. Copper is supposed to be good for us. It's supposed to cleanse the water and all that, and they used to have copper in the swimming pools and farmers would put copper in the troughs where the animals are, and you used to have copper pipe in your house and everything, and they bring the plastics in and all and we're getting a lot of glyphosate and graphite and metals in our food and in our bodies. Well, we're coming out with six gs now, going from four to five gs, now to six gs. Six g needs antennas. You're the antenna. And so Kathy's joints are doing really well right now because she's wearing a brass bracelet, a copper bracelet. Well, I saw it today. A gal was telling me six gs's coming and that's why they're pushing copper. They want you to be the antenna. So you can use technology for good and you can use it for evil. I'm not afraid. I got a copper drink thing there. My hair will just get curlier, right? So these guys weren't cavemen. They had technology. And obviously let me see here. So if I do ancestry.com and we go back and we figure out my DNA, where I came from, Because you guys know me, you already know that I didn't come from Jubal. There's no DNA in me in regard to music. My family has not been prolific in blessing the world with music, with guitars and trumpets and the ability to not just make them but play them, right? I can't even clap, right? So that's off the list there. You think about that though, you think about people that God made who are bent in that way. It's a gift in them. They're gifted in providing music and poetry and writing. For me, the best I can come up with is it's always been easy for me to put words together, whether written or spoken. So when I'm in seventh grade, I don't know anything but my English teacher comes up to me and says, I'm an unbeliever, and she says, you've got a real gift in creative writing. And I'm like, I just want to play football. And she says, I'm going to have you bird dog the daily pilot reporter and see what a news guy is like to be a newsman, you know, or whatever. So I got to go with a reporter for a day, but it was something somebody identified. They identified something in me and I didn't know from Adam what was going on. I don't know my ancestors, anybody in that regard, but it's kinda exciting when you find your bent, you know, when you find out why God made your strengths weak. Now those are natural strengths and weaknesses, And when we yield ourselves unto God, and now we have the help of the Holy Spirit to anoint and bless those, so then I later it never went anywhere because my family blew up. Divorce. So you don't get to go to the college prep classes and all that. You're just trying to survive. So now I got English classes in high school but I was so in love with the girls. I didn't girl her so I didn't study. But then I got saved and I began to study God's word and listen to God's word and that sort of thing and I went to bible college when I was 25 and now I have the chance to start writing. I did the assignments and I began to write so the thoughts and the things that are going through my head, I'm beginning to write them now and I get feedback again from a teacher that there's some gifting there. Now nobody ever came up to me and said, you sing beautifully. People move away from me. Vicky came here tonight and silenced the mic during worship. I sing so bad. That's why she came over here. I thought she was gonna slap me, but she silenced the mic because she's listening. People are listening on Facebook, and I'm ruining it. Okay? So I don't try to present myself as a worship leader. Okay? As somebody that's gonna help the worship team. I'm here to help. Right? Yeah. She's here to help. From the government. I'm here to help. Yeah. So, anyway, so my little story and I don't know how your story fits in, but for me, that was a wake up call. Alright. So then I then I then I'm eight years as a Christian, eight years going to church, listening to the bible, being taught bible studies, and I was invited to a bible study and the guy there challenged me to next week, Rick, you teach next week. I'm like, I never taught before and I've tried to do Sunday school and that and the next thing I know, people are telling me that the bible flows through me very easily. I thought it did that for all of you. I thought everybody had that. How did I know I was any different than anybody else? I didn't know until somebody identified that and then that whole stream of literature, the whole stream of words and paragraphs and sentences and that whole structure, I believe that's something that the Lord helped me with. Now, I was good at math in seventh grade. I had a teacher that made me study in sixth grade. We used Cuisinere rods, and man, I knew fractions. They put me in a class where the teacher could pounce on me, a male teacher, and he did and man, I learned math. And I was ahead of the other kids by at least a grade, maybe two grades. But when I got in seventh grade, I had a knucklehead teacher. And all that advantage I had in math, I'd lost. When I got to high school, algebra, that sort of stuff, again, no pressure on me, I lost it. So you can be adept at something and have a certain gifting or work hard at something, develop something. So today, I would say, you know, I'm no good at math. When I tried to do construction when I first came up here, I had to do baseboard trim. Baseboard And trim, you go into the room and you measure the room and you write it down, then you come back to the saw, and you've got to cut all those miters, all those cuts at one point at the at the saw. Don't go in there and get to measure this wall and cut, then measure that wall and make them fit. You don't get to do that. Time. So anyway, the guy was watching me, trying to train me and everything. And again, my head is thinking about the Bible, thinking about Bible studies, thinking as I'm at the saw and all that. That's another part that I have a hard time with is focusing exclusively on that particular endeavor. And he came up to me and he said, You are the slowest guy I've ever had work for me. And he didn't mean I couldn't run fast, he meant mentally. Mentally you are standing over that saw looking at that tape measure for so long, trying to figure out if it's three and five eighths or three and a half. So that wasn't my gift. But people that I knew in school that weren't good at spelling or reading or reading out loud, they were really good at math and they're very wealthy today because they became really good builders. Construction is math. Engineering. So all these different facets, different things that God's gifted you in, you give it to the Lord and he anoints and blesses. That's why you've been able to build houses. That's why you've been able to find a career that fits your gift set. And it's a fun thing when you find where you fit. Still life is a grind. You're going to do it by the sweat of your brow but it isn't like if I had to be a musician, do you know how miserable I'd be? If I I mean, maybe I wouldn't. I just I play it. Maybe I could be a psychopath like Obama and think that I'm good. Maybe I could be like the emperor that has no clothes, totally clueless to what a weirdo I am, but I think I'm the best singer and the best guitar player ever. There's people like that out there. It takes somebody like Vicky to love you enough to let you know. You stink, buddy. You really stink the place up. And faithful are the wounds of a friend. The kiss of an enemy are deceitful. So for the sake of everybody else. That's lot of people dream of being rock stars. They dream of, I'm gonna learn how to play the guitar. And I started to learn how to play and a friend of mine again stopped me. No, Thomas. Not now. Okay. Go ahead. Yeah. He's not looking for our ability. He's looking for our avelability. No. You got it wrong. You got to have the ability too. He he's gonna gift you with the gifting. Right? Then there can be a spiritual gifting on top of the natural gifting and then there needs to be the humility of being available God doesn't of offering unto him. God doesn't always call the qualifying, but he does qualify Let me say it the way Spurgeon said it. When I was looking in Spurgeon's lectures to his students, I was not going to be presumptuous and go out and start a church because I knew that would be really hard on my family if I was trying to operate as a pastor when God wasn't calling me to be a pastor. So I spent a long time in school to be tested, and then I spent time researching how do you know if you're called? How do you know what you're called to? And Spurgeon has a book called Lectures to His Students, and he basically said, God didn't make behemoth you know what behemoth is in the book of Job? Behemoth. Big hippopotamus. Crocodile, something. Leviathan. God didn't make behemoth. Behemoth sounds like Jabba the Hun, right? God didn't make behemoth to fly. He's not equipped to fly. It's a different gifting. So that's what he said. If you if you don't have the natural gifting, then right there you're not called. You you see what I'm saying? So and there's a lot better musicians in the secular world whom Satan uses their gifting for his kingdom of darkness. Right? And the sad thing is when Christians want to be like the world rather than using their gifting to glorify Jesus and to edify. Okay, so I'm not Jubal. Some of you are real good with working with wood and working with metals and things like that, and so we recognize that part of this Canaanite civilization. And and we're mad here. You guys get mosquitoes on you? Preach I've slain and then Lamech's gonna boast about how Lamech said unto his wives, Alen Zillah, hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech. Hearken unto me. Hearken unto my speech, for I have slain a man. So he's boasting about killing a guy, and this is the second murder, right? For I have slain a man who wounded me. So could we argue this was self defense? Did you take it too far? If you are slapped in the cheek, should you turn the other cheek? Should you go for eye for an eye and just kill him? Or should you go the extra mile? If your life's a threat, obviously, you're gonna do whatever it takes to stop the threat. If you're at Burger King and the guy's shooting people, it's a no brainer. Take them out. But and and here's another thing. I know there's so much going on. If four teenagers invade your house and you're 86 years old and they start beating you and want you're whatever they're come for, and you've got a shotgun, you shoot them. And when the stupid people in the community take you to court because you used excessive force, you've got to learn to always say, I feared for my life. They would love you to be benevolent toward these teenagers that didn't know better and be beat to a pulp or even beat to death but you can't react in a way to preserve your life and property. And yet the judge sided with the old man. Praise the Lord. They still have some sense. But the parents were arguing. They were just teenagers. Well you raised some real stupid teenagers, you know. What teenager doesn't know? You go into a house, that old boy is carrying a shotgun or the woman's got a shotgun. Good. What's that? A lot yeah. Exactly. They're doing that with e bikes now. Kid with an e bike doing a wheelie hit an 80 year old guy and knocked him out critical and all that. So they're they're prosecuting the mom that bought him the e bike because he's underage. Can't even walk down the sidewalk anymore. Do you know how Israel did it? Israel finally got the terrorists to stop to a certain degree. If any kid was going to get $30,000 for bombing an Israeli bus or an Israeli building or house or whatever, they might have incentive from some terrorist group that pays this kid to go out and do that. They began to bulldoze the parents' houses and it stopped. Took the incentive away. If you've got a kid that's that stupid, you're going to lose everything. And it stopped it. Pretty amazing, Amen. So who wounded me and a young man for for harming me? So, you know, the old guys, they get tired of the disrespect of the young guys. This guy's saying, hey, I benched more than you, man. I took you out. Wiped out. He's boasting to his wives, I took out a young guy and the ego, ego lifting, know. Self defense, big bolster. Now he's forming a poem, a Hebrew poem which is a song. And he says, if Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech 70 and sevenfold. And so hear my voice, me, verse 23. And Lamech said unto his wives, Adon Zilla, hear my voice, ye wives. Lamech, hearken unto my speech. So this is Hebrew prose. This is Hebrew poetry, not based upon rhythm, but based upon repeating part of the truth there, the theme. So Lamech hearken unto me my speech, for I have slain a man who wounded me. And then here's the next part, a young man for hurting me. So kind of like, I'm a warrior, I don't worry, something like that. So if king shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech 70 and sevenfold. So he's, again, he's boasting. He's making another little ditty, another little song. Saul has killed his thousands. David has tens of thousands. Right? And now what's interesting here is that Lamech died in Genesis five thirty one when he was 777 years old, And, the sword the song and the sword defiant of God. In Matthew eighteen twenty two, Jesus said we're to forgive 70 times seven. In Jude 11, we see the way of Cain. Now in this generation of Cain, this Canaanite line, you can have seven generations. You have Adam, you have Cain, you have Enoch, Ired, Nahuajel, Meshuel, and Lamech. And as I said in Genesis five thirty one, Lamech dies at seven seven seven. So the number seven is is the number of God, and and there's a unique design here that God's playing out. So in Jude 11, we have in the New Testament the way of Cain. What is the way of Cain? He's a murderer, verse eight. He's a liar, verses nine through 12. He's filled with self pity, verse 13. He separates himself from God, verses 14 through 16. He's seeking worldly security. Make America great is seeking worldly security. You're looking for a man to keep the Democrats from taking everything you work for away from you. Well, don't you think the Democrats were hired to do just that and to swing the pendulum the next way over to the Republicans that don't even remove the debold algorithm machines that steal elections? How stupid are we? But I hear people go go vote. What do you mean vote? How could anybody vote for that mayor of Seattle? She's appointed. She's appointed by the globalist, by people in power. How how do these guys get into office? First of all, they have handlers. First of all, they're compromised. They they don't get to do anything except be puppets for the globalists that control them. It's mind boggling. So the way of king, the murder, the separation from God, the seeking worldly security, the way of king, own way to God, reject God's way. Seven also there was developments, urban versus nomadic developments. Three crafts were developed, that of cattle, that of metallurgy, tools and weapons, and also that of music and instruments. Also polygamy, ability to write. These guys have the ability to write, the Canaanite civilization. And not just write, but to bring about poetry. Now we come to the birth of Seth. And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called him, And his name was Seth, for God said he has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. Let me read that again so that we get it clear. And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son. So she bore a son and still talking about Eve, Eve is going to name this son. Women have authority in this culture. She has the authority and the blessing of Adam to name the son, and she names him Seth. And there's a point to this in that the name Seth means foundation or appointed. So I lost my Abel, the one that was gonna bring forth the life of faith in the seed of the woman, Genesis three fifteen. Cain has no desire for the things of the Lord. God loved Jacob and hated Esau. Hated Esau in what sense? Esau had no desire for God. God knew ahead of time. But Jacob, God would change his name eventually to Israel, governed a God prince of God. So God's saying, we're gonna we're gonna bring in here Seth, and he's the foundation of Genesis three fifteen of the Messiah one day coming through this line. His name means appointed, and Eve is saying, I believe God. I believe God what he said about the virgin born son of God. And so Adam named the animals and he named Eve, and Eve named Cain and also named Seth. For God has said he's appointed another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And so again, speaking of the seed of the woman. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son, and he called his name Enosh. And notice it says Enosh, his name means frail. And in Psalm 103, it talks about our frailty, that man's like the grass, and like James describes the grass that just gets blown away. And we're made from the dust of the ground, how frail we are. But I like this part. It says, then began men to call upon the name of the Lord. And what this means in the Hebrew, it means that men began to gather for public worship. We worship the Lord privately. We worship the Lord continually. But we as a people, as a gathering, as a congregation called out from the world, there should be something inside of us that desires to gather with God's people for public worship. And Kathy put in the bulletin this week, Neglect not the assembling yourselves together as men are some, especially as you see the day of the Lord approaching. It's always exciting when I'm sitting up front and I come out to address the house and there's four people in the audience. 10 people. Nobody on the right side anymore. Left side's cedars. And and there's like ten, fifteen people. Right? And I'm like, wow. I wonder what's up today? What's happened? And then I sit there in the front and I'm looking forward. And about a half hour later, I hear the worship leader say, now we're gonna worship Lord in giving. Let us just come forward. And I walk up there, and I get to the pulpit, and I close my eyes. When I finally open my eyes, the room, there's a whole lot of people here. And the whole time I've been thinking, we're dead, Lord. We're dead. It's over. There's nobody here. What happened? How come nobody's here? And people are in the habit of coming during worship, attending church during that thirty minutes of worship rather than come to church half hour early and break up into groups and pray. That's a novel idea. Get there early and eat some of those donuts and those cookies and and pray, you know, before I get to them. But it's so nice that people have, you know, the lobby and it's so inviting and people talking, but I used to have people that came to church early and would simply get together and pray. I learned that from Charles Spurgeon in reading his books. He always had a group of people in the basement praying during the service because he believed that was the engine, that was the power for everything that transpired during the service. So pray for Calvary Bremerton. Pray for the bible studies. Pray ahead of time. But Father's Day, on Father's Day, I get to see who the spiritual men are because that's the one day a year you get to decide what to do on Father's Day. And you're saying, as for me and my house, we're going to church today. Mother's Day, same thing. I see the mothers, your kids, your husband, nobody can veto that day, that's your day. We're going to church and you're taking me to brunch And after brunch, we're gonna go buy me some new clothes, you know. It's your day. Right? And your birthday, same thing. So it's all based upon choice, but it's so nice when people choose to make Jesus a priority. And check this out, the church in America in the past used to meet when Kathy and I got saved, we would meet with God's people. We would meet with God's people several times a week in Bible studies, classes, services. Nowadays, you guys got it easy, we got it easy. You meet Sunday morning, no programs during the week and you meet Monday night if you want to. COVID caused people to get in the habit of not attending church, of staying at home and watching it online And I love the fact that Vicky's able to reach people who are at home right now who couldn't make it here or inclement weather or sick or whatever. That's wonderful, but in a big way it's the pastor's fault because they stopped holding services. And I heard a tragic thing today when I was listening to JD. He said Ken Ortiz, who baptized Kathy, whom we knew from Calvary Costa Mesa, pastor Ken Ortiz at Calvary Spokane who's been there forty three years, this was the first Sunday that he could not meet, that they closed the church and did not meet. You know why? The fires. The fires were so severe in the Spokane area that all of his staff, of his people, the majority of the people, they had to evacuate the area, you know. Isn't that amazing? And so when they did COVID and they were telling us, you can't meet, I told Kathy driving here, I don't care if it's just me and you, Kath, we're going to meet. I'm not going to dishonor God in that way. And you know what? There will be some other crazy people who make it that day. They might have their hair sinned and be burnt or whatever, but they'll be there. They'll be there. Marlene's looking at me like, There's no way. That's crazy. I wore my doctor smock. I proved that I'm doctor no jabba. So alrighty. So there we go. Now, to finish this up, the prominence of seven. The word seven here. So it wasn't a random writing here. There's the number seven is used in such a way that it illustrates intelligent design. Okay? Do you get you with me? That this was written by a singular person. And Chuck Misser used to do a lot of this, but written by God. Abel is seven times. Cain is 14 times, which means two by seven. You can help me with math. I'm no good with math. Brother is here seven times. Cain avenged is sevenfold. Lamech avenged 70 times seven. He died in 05/31, Genesis five verse 31 at the age of seven seven seven. There's seven generations from Adam to Lamech. Names listed in Canaanite's family are fourteen, two times seven. The word name is seven times. From Genesis two through four, the word land is seven times. The word field is seven times. Ground is seven times. Adonai and Elohim or Jehovah and God are 35 times, which is five times seven. Genesis one through five, Adonai and Elohim is 70 times, which is 10 times seven, which proves intelligent design, a divinely inspired singular author. And now we go to the New Testament to see God's commentary on Cain and Abel. Alright? In, Luke eleven fifty one and Matthew 23, 35, Jesus uses the blood of Abel as a type to speak of all those who would be, including himself, who would have their bloodshed in martyrdom as a prophet. Abel being the first one all the way through as an example. In Hebrews twelve twenty four, the word the name Abel is a type of messiah's blood. In first John three eleven through 12, Cain is an example of hating your brother, of not loving your brother. Cain was of the evil one, Satan. You remember in John eight, Jesus told the religious leaders, your father's the devil, and he was a liar and a murderer from the beginning, so too the way of Cain. He murdered because of his own deeds were evil. In Jude 11, the way of king is the way of false religion. Every false religious system is a man centered, humanistic, I'm gonna offer to God the works of myself, my own righteousness, my own way. As Frank Sinatra is saying it, I did it my way. How's that working for you, Frank? In Hebrews 11 verse four, Abraham's offering or excuse me, Abel's offering was an offering of faith. So there you go. Alrighty. So we won't be meeting the rest of the month of August, or at least I won't be here. You guys are welcome to meet if Rob and Vicky wanna have somebody fill in for me. Tapes, videos, whatever you wanna do. Sunday morning on this Sunday, I'm gonna be there, and then we're heading to California to celebrate our forty fifth wedding anniversary. We got married when we're 17. No. Yeah. I had to. It was a real quick wedding. She got pregnant. No. I'm not just kidding. Not true. Not true. Not true. A lot of people in that situation. No. We we waited. We waited. Beautiful wedding. Forty five years. And, Betty and Betty and Ray just celebrated thirty eight years. Marlene and Jim, fifty? Fifty years. Alright, so we're going to go down to California. We're going to go to where we met, where we grew up, going down memory lane and it all the foods, the places, all that kind of stuff that reminds us of the previous life we had before we came here. And so it's in our DNA, we've got to do it, and we're gonna see friends and family. Wayne and Brittany are gonna be down there to just a certain portion of it, so that's gonna be exciting. So anyway, on the sixteenth, Mark Dinsmore is going to fill in for me on Sunday. On the twenty third, pastor Kevin Lee from Calvary Port Orchard is going to fill in for me. And then on the thirtieth, Wayne Decourt, my son-in-law, is going to fill in for me. So you got three guys filling in and James is going to do the bulletin and praying over everything and doing all that, so he's going to help me in that way. Sean's going to go get the church van and bring the stuff and take it away. Rob and Bruce and Jim are going to do the worship as Christie needs prayer about her throat, And so you got an overview of what's gonna happen. And so there you go. That's the cat out of the bag. That's what we're looking at. And alright. Let's pray. Father, thank you. Lord, we do lift up Christie and pray for her throat. We lift up Steve Wilcox and pray for his throat. Lord, we lift up Shannon Goodson and pray for her iron levels. We thank you that Kelly is improving with her blood levels and stuff. We lift up Maddie, Lord, and we pray that you intervene, that you heal her. We pray that we could hear a praise report real soon that she's doing well, Lord. We believe and trust that according to your perfect will, you're gonna heal her. Lord, we lift up Carl Hendrix and pray that you bless his surgery on Friday, the putting in of the stint, Lord, in in his heart, that you help him in that way. Be with Carl Schlemmler with his family coming to town and his wife, Christina, that her her leg continue to heal and heal all the way. I pray for this body of believers, that you give us a hunger and thirst for righteousness, a hunger and a thirst for your word, and Lord that we not take for granted the privilege and the blessing of meeting together, of gathering together as Enosh described, where the men began to gather again to worship the Lord. There's a trend. There was not a post Christian era in Europe, not a post Christian era in America, but the churches were vibrant and thriving and the lights were on and the bells were ringing and people would sing with their whole hearts and it mattered to them. It's important to them. Lord, I pray that we're a spiritual people, a remnant of 7,000 that haven't bowed their knee to the prophet Baal, and Lord that we continue to seek you with our whole hearts that we not be lukewarm and that we not leave our first love, Lord. So bless this little group of people that we honor you and glorify you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
