Revelation chapter 4 The throne in heaven
Pastor Rick Beaudry leads us through Revelation chapter 4, unfolding John’s vision of the throne in heaven with its jasper and sardius brilliance, a circular rainbow, a sea of glass, and the seven lamps as the seven spirits of God. He interprets the twenty four elders as representatives of the church with white raiment and Stephanos crowns, connects the four living creatures to Gospel portraits, and draws on Isaiah and Ezekiel to clarify seraphim and cherubim imagery. The sermon presses the call to continual, genuine worship, reminds us we were made for God’s pleasure, and contrasts the imminent rapture and present church age with the coming tribulation. It closes with pastoral prayer and a birthday blessing for Vicky while lifting up Joe, Linda, Sally, and James.
