You know, shut off, you know, like anything. But one one girl one nurse, I said, can you can you pray for me when you get off the phone? And she said, k. Do you want me to pray right now? I said, yeah. I like the kind of the kind of response. Let's pray now instead of waiting. You know? Because sometimes you you want to pray, but then you forget. I I appreciate her attitude. Let's pray now. Do do your legs feel better from my prayers last week? Probably a little. Oh, okay. I've had a she came over Saturday. A nurse came over Saturday, but Sunday was kind of Okay. Painful. Alrighty. We'll pray for you again. I believe that We're gonna have Mark pray right now for Walt Brown's family. And as Vicky's struggling, all of us should say, you know, let's pray. The devil's trying to stop the technology. Right? When we go do church on Sunday, she gets totally knocked off. You know? That knocks her off. Yeah. Right? It's up and running now. Oh, okay. Well, Mark's gonna open us with prayer. Go ahead, Mark. Father god in heaven, we do love you. We thank you. We worship you, Lord, and, we just are so grateful for the gift of your son, our savior. Thank you, Lord, for Calvary Chapel, Bremerton and, pastor Rick and the the body of Christ here, and we just ask that you'd be present among us. That you lead us, guide us, teach us. And, Lord, we wanna lift up a dear brother who is glad to be with you, doctor Walt Brown, who wrote the book in the beginning and has taught us the truth from science and from the scriptures about the amazing events of the flood and Noah's ark and all of your Lord. And so we just lift up his family as they mourn this loss and grieve and grieve with them. We rejoice that he's with you. We just pray that you would prosper and bless his family and his message and his legacy through his children and all those who have been blessed by his ministry. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Want me to wait till I'm gonna teach? I can do it when we're gonna teach. We really wanna worship now. Okay. Alright. That's up to you. K. Alright. Well, I just heard from the holy spirit we're supposed to worship. Okay. I lift Alright. Thanks, Rob. Alright. Again, we are in Daniel chapter nine, and we just wanna thank the Lord. In this chapter, one of the things is Daniel is studying prophecy. Daniel is really concerned about how soon are they gonna be released from captivity. And they've been in captivity for about sixty seven years if you start with June when Daniel was deported. So he'd been there. Daniel's about 81 years old at this time, so it might be he's only got three years left, but he not quite sure. So he's gonna go and he's gonna study some of the books, and one of the books is Isaiah and Jeremiah and also. He's a student of prophecy is what we were saying before. And, prophetic studies intended us, to be led to a deeper walking relationship with the Lord. And so only 2% of the churches today study prophecy. The pastors don't study nor teach prophecy. And one third of the Bible, 27% of the Bible is prophecy. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies in his first coming. And presently, we're watching all kinds of prophecies being fulfilled presently in regard to a one world economic system that's coming, a one world governmental system that's coming, a one world religious system that's coming, and so many other things that are falling into the place for the beast system pointing to the soon return of Jesus. And I can't imagine people not being students of the bible that way. Jesus, during his generation when he came, he said, you can discern the weather, but you can't discern the time, the time you're living in. And how tragic it would be to be a a person living at the time of his first coming, and he spent three and a half years in the area of Galilee and Jerusalem, Bethany, and all the whole region there, and people don't even know who he is. And John said he came onto his own, and his own, didn't receive him. They knew him not. You know, the world was made by him. The world knew him not. He goes into Nazareth, and his own people there don't even know who he is. In fact, his own brothers and sisters didn't know who he was until after the resurrection. And so I'm I'm thankful that my pastor, pastor Chuck, gave me a love for not only the word of God, but for, the prophetic word of God, being students of prophecy. So let's pray. Father, thank you that we can read this, amazing chapter in Daniel chapter nine, and we can study it. And we ask that you be our teacher and that you help us, Lord, to glean all we can, to learn all we can, and to continue to be those who study to show ourselves approved under God, workmen that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, Lord. Lord, we pray that you'll raise up more and more teachers, more and more bible students, disciples, people that wanna give themselves to the study and the dissemination, the teaching, and passing on of that which they learn, that people will be equipped, thoroughly furnished to every good work, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Alright. So announcement tonight. We Cathy and I, we were praying, thinking about this. And what are we going where are we gonna go after Daniel? What book are we gonna teach? So we've we wanted to announce that we have decided, Lord willing, that we wanna teach the book of Revelation after this. So Yeah. So that'll be fun. Right? And the book of Revelation ties right in with Daniel. It's a time we're living in. I just don't I just don't think if I go through start in Genesis and work my way through in the Old Testament that I'm ever gonna make it to the book of Revelation again. So I wanna I wanna kinda get the book of Revelation covered again. And I think six months after we finish the book of Revelation, we could do it again. It it's it's we're never gonna exhaust it. It's happening right now, and it's so incredibly exciting. And so to see the way that Daniel ties in with it, and Zechariah and Zephaniah and so many other Hosea. Hosea, so many other parts of the Old Testament prophets time in. So pray about that, study up, and continue in that way. And so as I said earlier, in regard to the study of prophecy, in Hebrews chapter five, I want to give you a little little footnote of encouragement. You And can turn there if you want. Hebrews chapter five beginning with verse 11. He says, of whom we are many things to say and you're hard to be uttered seeing you're dull of hearing. So the Hebrews were falling back into Judaism because to avoid persecution and, we're studying the book of Galatians, on Sunday mornings, and and the Judaizers were getting them back into the law. But many of the Hebrew believers were falling into this trap of of, falling back into Judaism so they wouldn't be persecuted by the Jews and all. So he's talking about, you know, Jesus being a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, and so it's a pretty heavy thing there that, the writer's bringing out. And you remember Abraham paid tithes of all that he had to this king of Salem of Jerusalem and, with neither beginning of the days nor of end and, and partook of communion with him. Pretty amazing thing. Right? In verse 11, of whom we have many things to say and hard to be uttered seeing you're dull of hearing. Whole lot of people. The problem's not the pastor. The problem's the the listeners. They don't have ears to hear. They don't wanna hear. They want little sermonettes for Christianettes and they want to feel good. And so they don't want to go deeper in the things of Lord and their walk with the Lord. They want to remain shallow. And here's what he says, for when for the time ye ought to be teachers how long have you been a Christian? I've been a Christian forty years. Why do you keep calling the book of Revelation, Revelations? Have you ever studied the book of Revelation? No. Did your pastor ever take you through it? No. Well, what are you studying? Well, we bounce around each week. I don't know where we're at. Right now we're on overcoming brokenness. Oh, that's nice. Okay. From Peter Pan. Right? For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God and are become such as have need of milk and not of solid food. So in first Corinthians chapter three, Paul said, are you not carnal? Because they were fighting infectious and and heretical. He wanted them to be spirit filled, believers. Carnal means fleshly, so they weren't the natural man. The Corinthians were new believers. They were believers, but they weren't living the life of the spirit. So Paul says, there's so much more I wanna give you, but you're so carnal. You're so fleshly. You're still on the milk of the word. We all know that when a baby's born, it's really exciting to give them milk. And my little grandkids, they want milk, and they'll scream, and they're gonna get the milk. Right? And, but eventually, it's time to be weaned off the milk and to get get some solid food in them. Now their whole life long, they could continue the first principles of the bible. They need to we need to remind one another and have the very first principles, but watch what he says here. But solid food belongs to them that are of full age, even to those who reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. This is why the church can't discern good and evil today. Because for over twenty five years, they've been involved in the purpose driven church where Rick Warren said, it's not creeds, which means teaching, it's deeds. So he presented a social gospel. The pastors bit, and the pastors were told, the more of the bible you teach, the smaller your church will be. Expositional teaching is death to a church. And now even the new pastors that have come in to replace the old guard don't know what it is to be an expositor of the bible. They don't follow rules of hermeneutics nor are they teachers. They're not teachers. They're caretakers. And, they're just not their objective is to just market the people and get the numbers up as high as they can. But solid food belongs to them that are of full age even to those by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. You can't do it unless you have the word of God. Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection. We we want you guys to grow, Amen. Not laying again. So you have these things, the milk. It's good to have a foundation. You gotta be rooted and grounded. That's good. But we shouldn't have to continually constantly lay that foundation every week. The foundation of repentance. We don't even hear the word of repentance in the church today. That's that's a foundational truth. Did did do you hear the mega group or the Charlie Kirk group calling the kids at the school and the people under repentance? No. No. It's it's, it's acceptance. We need to accept one another. It's loving to just accept one another. As long as we're gonna get after those terrible Democrats, we gotta get rid of them. So laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms and laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. We don't have eternal judgment anymore. We don't talk about hell. We don't talk about repentance, but these are basic doctrines. And he says, and this I will do, if God permit. And so Paul's letting I believe Paul's the writer of the book of Hebrews, but he's just emphasizing that I wanna take you guys deeper. I wanna I wanna I wanna, you know, take you on to some things that are beyond the foundational truths. And Peter, he says, there's an importance by way of remembrance. Even though you know these things, I'm gonna go over them again. So that's repetition. The repetition in a bible study, the repetition as a teacher with the students, there are things that we've already learned, things we already know, but it's important that we not forget them. Right. And so by way of repetition, Peter says, I'm gonna remind you of these things. It said of John the beloved that he kept emphasizing love one another over and over and over and over and over, and they're like, John, let's move on to something else. Well, when we love one another, we'll move on to something else. Right? And so, without love, we're nothing. But, we don't redefine love as a tolerance of evil. We don't. That's dishonoring to God. Right. We don't wanna dishonor God. So here in Daniel, we've got some pretty incredible prophecies as we've been going through this book that are so exciting. So verse one, in the first year of Darius, the son of Ahasuerus of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans. And so this is in about May, BC. Sixty seven years have elapsed from the June, as I said earlier, when Daniel was deported and many others. May, the treasure was taken from Jerusalem. You remember when Hezekiah made the mistake of bringing the ambassadors from from Iran, from Persia, from Babylon, I mean, Babylon, into the into to see Solomon's treasure and all that David had accumulated, Solomon inherited. And then later when the Babylonians came, they came for the treasure. Right? In Daniel five, they had part of that treasure from the temple, you know, the the drinks, the goblets, the, the implements for the temple worship and all, and they were part in Daniel five with Belteshazzar. And then, May, a fierce siege was put upon Jerusalem, and Jerusalem fell in May. So if Daniel in the next few verses is gonna study and learn, the reason of why they were in captivity was because they neglected to allow the land to rest every seventh year. And so four hundred and eighty three years had accumulated so that they owed the Lord seventy years of Jubilee. They owed the Lord seventy years. So Jeremiah is gonna point that out to them. And so Daniel is really, really wanting for the Messiah to come, and he's praying. He's gonna pray here, these first 19 verses. He's gonna pray. He's gonna plead on behalf of the nation, and he's anticipating that, you know what? Alright. We got our spanking. We have spent seventy years in captivity. We're at the sixty seven year point. And, Lord, I hope I'm gonna plead with I hope you start the clock from 06:05 when I was down here because I'm 81 years old now, and I'd like to make it to 84 and see the return of Jesus. How many of wanna make it to the rapture? Mhmm. Well, you didn't miss it on January 23 or whatever it was. September 23. Right? Right. Rosh Hashanah, feast of trumpets. But, hey, I didn't need to say anything. I I was hoping it would happen. I hope someday they're right. But in any event, so Daniel, he recognizes the the importance of discipline of why God did it. And and so he says, in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by book. So Daniel doesn't know everything. He's the guy that can interpret dreams. He's the guy that receives dreams and visions. But Daniel still needs to study the book, be a student of the book. And we as Bereans, if we get a dream or a vision or a word from somebody about September 23 or the YouTube prophets have something going on, we need to check everything out and make sure it aligns itself with the book because God's not going to give a new revelation or a dream or a vision that contradicts his already revealed word. So we have his word to guide us and keep us down that straight and narrow lest we get pulled into heretical a heretical doctrine and a heretical movement. So in the first year of the reign, I, Daniel, understood by books, so books plural. So what books are we thinking of? Well, we know the book of Jeremiah. We also know in Isaiah 44 that Isaiah prophesied a hundred and ninety years before, Cyrus and Darius came in Daniel five that God surnamed him Cyrus. So he'd see he'd see that there, and possibly he'd be able to bring the scroll under Cyrus. You know. Hey, God surnamed you, you know. Wouldn't that be something? And tradition says that he did that, but we don't know biblically if he did that. So in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by books the number of the years concerning which the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolation of Jerusalem. So Jeremiah was a contemporary of Daniel. And, Jeremiah spent forty years trying to awaken God's people in Judah to, repent. And they wouldn't do it. They thought he was a crackpot. They thought he's a nut job, and, they just wouldn't do it. Then he writes the book of Lamentations, and he describes what it was like in May when the city was just destroyed and the people, you know, reduced to the place of cannibalism and and just horrific things that he saw. People's skin and bodies turning black because there's starvation and the whole thing. And, and then he he was allowed to stay there afterward and get Elijah, the governor, and these people there. They rebelled against king Nebbe. And so tradition says that Daniel was actually taken down to Egypt and killed. Those guys just said sore losers because everything he said came true. Everything he said. So when these guys fled to Egypt, Nebbe sent some guys after him and brought him back, but but, they they had they had killed Jeremiah. Isaiah the prophet, what did he get for his prophecies? Sond in half by Manasseh. Yeah. Sond in half. Horrible. Yeah. We read about that in Hebrews 11, don't we? Sond in two. Now that's a real bummer. So who wants to read Jeremiah twenty five eleven and twelve? And there's another one here, Jeremiah twenty nine ten through 14. Who wants to read those passages? You guys ready? Luke twenty five eleven and twelve. Okay. And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seven years. It shall come to pass when seven years are accomplished that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity and the land of the Chaldeans and will make it a perpetual desolation. Isn't that amazing? God uses Babylon as a disciplinary tool, but then God's gonna judge them for what they did to his people. That's fascinating. Jeremiah twenty twenty nine ten through 14. Who is it? Rob's there. No. I'm not there yet. Sorry. I got this big I got it. Okay. For thus says the Lord, after seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Great. So Daniel's anticipating this. He sees this promise. He's been there sixty seven years. He's about 81, and he's really, really wanting to see the restoration of Israel and the Messiah coming back and the kingdom age, and he's looking to the millennium. He's he's looking, you know, in the in the first coming of the Lord of all the promises that await the nation of Israel in the millennium, he doesn't see the rest of Daniel when Gabriel comes along from verse 20, and Gabriel starts to let him know that, Daniel, your anticipation is premature. There's some things that are gonna happen. Messiah's gonna be cut off, but Daniel doesn't see that yet. So Daniel's he's really trying as best he can to be the one that confesses the sins of the nation and intercedes on behalf of the nation in anticipation that maybe, just maybe, if the Lord started the clock, the seven years, in 06/2005, we've only got three years left. How many more years do we have left before the rapture? Anybody know the date? Nope. Soon. Does anybody have a date for anything yet? Soon. Ask the Jehovah Witness. No. We haven't been there. So are we exhorted to understand the times in which we're living? Yep. Yep. Yeah. And the seasons? Yep. Yep. And what we would call birth pangs. Right? The beginning of sorrows, the labor pains. And, so how close are we in the labor pains for the baby to be be come out the birth canal? Probably. We're in transition. We're in transition. Uh-huh. Okay. Transition. Alright. Transition labor. Alright. Transition labor. Alright. What's that mean? It's almost there. Almost there. Okay. It means it's heating up. Has water broke? Yep. Yeah. Oh. Alright. We know it soon. One world government, one world monetary, and one world religion. It's not our imagination. It's really happening. Right? It's forming. It's forming. And we're learning about this in Daniel, and we're learning about the book of Revelation. Right? Yeah. It's happening. And a guy named Peter Thiel, he recognizes the antichrist is coming. He did he's doing a four part lecture on the antichrist. Crazy. Crazy. He's the Palantir founder with Alex Karp, and he's the one the very first day that president Trump came into office, 500,000,000,000, I think it is, but allocated to build Stargate. Yeah. Stargate. Stargate's the beast system. Amazing. Elon Musk is in there too. Mhmm. These guys are working hard, and it's fascinating. I don't look at his doom and gloom. I look at it as this is really exciting. We're getting close. Congratulations, Dave. Yeah. So he's Daniel's anticipating. He's a student of prophecy, and he's like us. He's like, I hope the rapture comes in three more years. I hope I hope it happens then. I hope I hope Jesus you know, he's he's wanting Jesus to return or gain or come the first time. Yeah. Yeah. He says, and I set my face. So Daniel's confession and prayer. Now this is a model prayer. The disciples asked Jesus teach us to pray and he gave them a model that we call the our father prayer. Right? If you want to see the Lord's prayer, you actually go to John 17 where Jesus is praying unto his father. But this prayer, there's aspects of it that that we can learn from how to pray, and first would be preparing your heart. I I try to get through to people as much as I can to prepare your heart all week long, but especially on Saturday. If you attend church on the first day of the week, Sunday like we do, it's imperative, especially if you've got kids and family to get ready, that you get all the clothes washed, you get everything laid out on the beds or the dresser or whatever, to get their baths that night, And that you as a family, if you're gonna entertain people or whatever it is you're gonna do, you know, that there's a period of time there where you're preparing yourself to go to church as a family the next day. Amen. And get your heart right. You wake up in the morning, continually, you're preparing your heart. So what we say to you is prepare yourselves by reading the chapter that you know we're gonna teach in ahead of time and to pray over it and pray for the pastor and his wife and the family. Pray for Calvary Bremerton. Pray for Kitsap County. Pray for the community. Pray, over where you go to work as a missionary, as the Lord's sending you out there, for the Lord to give you open doors of of sharing the gospel and sharing what you've learned. And and all of this is is the preparation of our hearts to get ready to pray. So you don't wanna go up and go into battle in AI after a great victory in Jericho without praying. You know? You don't wanna be presumptuous because the Gibeonites might be able to deceive you, you know, and have a great loss in that way. So you wanna pray. So when I set my face under the Lord, and, so the setting your face is part of that preparation of the denial of the flesh we're gonna see here and under the Lord God. So in our in our way of doing this, we would take our phones and shut them off. And we would you know, in the days where the phone would ring in the house, you shut the ringer off, set it aside. This is more important. As soon as you start to pray in a family devotion, the phone's gonna ring. The kids are gonna scream, yell. It's really difficult to do a family devotion. Super hard. But for you and your personal devotion, make sure the distractions are alleviated and removed, you know. And so I set my face unto the Lord God to seek by prayer and supplications. Notice he says with fasting, sackcloth and ashes. What's that mean? He's denying his flesh. He knows that the flesh wants to dominate. So you're praying like me. Like I told you last week, I'm praying with a couple or talking with a couple about, their marriage their marriage after church service, and in mid sentence, I fall asleep. So I fall asleep many, many times praying with drool on my face when I wake up. You know? I I used to have a sofa that I get on my knees and pray, and and that's what happened is is that I would wake up in my head down there. Now I could get up from there and if I wanted to, and be wide awake watching a movie or eating a double double, right, my flesh just gonna wake right up. You know? Okay. Not gonna fall asleep while I'm eating a pizza. You know? But if I'm trying to do something spiritual, the flesh is fighting against the spirit, the spirit against the flesh. And so I've got to, like an athlete, you're gonna have to, exercise yourself to godliness and to spiritual things to gain a to gain that equilibrium, to gain that discipline of prayer's hard. Prayer is hard. Flesh hates it. Yes. And Daniel Daniel, now sometimes your prayers real quick like Peter when he's sinking. Lord, save me. Three words. If he'd if he'd have prayed a long prayer like me, he'd be drowned. He'd be dead. So Lord, me. So with fasting, sackcloth, and prayers. So sackcloth is the is the the clothing of mourning, and, it's not gonna have your your best duds on. You remember the people of Nineveh when, forty days and you're gonna perish. From the king on down, they put on sackcloth and had ashes, and it was it's a picture of mourning. And when Job, was afflicted by the devil, sackcloth and ashes, and they began to worship the Lord. And so it's a sign of humility and, brokenness before the Lord. The fasting, sackcloth and ashes, so the affliction of his body. And we don't we don't do this like the Catholics with the flagulations and all that kind of stuff and beating yourself, whipping yourself. No sense in doing any of that. Don't hurt yourself. Have a soft pillow in case you do fall that you you when you fall asleep that you don't hurt yourself. So I prayed your prayer pillow. And I prayed unto the Lord, my God. It made my confession. So his his address, who's he praying to? The father. The father. There isn't a myriad of gods. We don't all, as George Bush would say, we don't all pray to the same god. All roads don't lead to heaven. We have one god. He's the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. One god in three persons, the father, the son, the holy spirit. And and so his address is god to the father, and that's how Jesus taught us to pray. Right? We pray to the father in the name of the son. Right? Our access to the throne of grace is through Jesus. Right? And and so we pray in his name. So he's and I prayed under the Lord, my God, and I like that, my God. Amen. The Lord is my shepherd. He's my God. Daniel's in a pagan area. Daniel's an idolatrous place with false gods all around him. God brought the children of Israel into Babylon for another reason, and that was their idolatry. And he was gonna cure them as best he could by overwhelming them with the Babylonian system from Nimrod in Genesis ten eleven. This Babylonian system of religious system had a plurality of gods that they worship. And and just just as Paul in Acts 17 would be up there in Mars Hill with the Greeks with all their myriad of different gods, it makes you sick to your stomach when you see, that Paul said that which the Gentiles offer under their idols, they're actually offering unto demons. That behind this this is the you know, worshiping of Satan. And then you project that future into the tribulation period, the people that are gonna worship the image of the beast, their idolatry, and actually worshiping the devil, which the devil back in the garden, back in Isaiah 14 before the garden when he's thrust down to heaven because his I will statements wanna be as God. Right? And then his his undermining God's word, his undermining God himself, and and then ultimately, conveying the line to Adam and Eve that you can be as gods. You know? You guys same thing that's gonna happen during the tribulation period as people are gonna be deceived thinking they'll never die again, and that they can be as gods, that we're gonna evolve. And so the little as you got of this world is used by God to expose the hearts of man. And and so unbelief is not a problem of the intellect, it's a problem of the will. You will not believe. Right. It's a problem of the heart. So I prayed unto the Lord my God in in my confession and said, oh Lord, the great and awesome God. So notice access, immediate access. He doesn't have to go through a priest. He's a prophet, but he doesn't have to go through to the Catholic church and talk to the Pope and and talk to a priest and and say five Hail Marys for our fathers or any of that. He can go directly to the Lord. And so I made my confession and said, Lord, the great and awesome God, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him and to them that keep his commandments. So you're God that keeps his covenants, your promises. And Lord, you promised unto us. And I know I've got to confess the sins of of the nation. I got to bring them before you that you might be merciful, gracious, kind, and loving. And, and Lord, he qualifies it, to them, to to them that love him. So we qualify Romans eight twenty eight. What's the qualification? All things work together for good for what? Then that are be called according to his purpose. Well, you missed something there. What? What? Who love God? Yeah. Right. Do you love God? Yeah. Amen. Do you love him more than yourself? I love God and are called according to his scripture. And he's got a purpose in there. Right? Amen. And he's causing all things to work together for good. Right? Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, qualified, especially those who believe. Everybody's sin is paid for, but it's qualified to those whom he's called, those who believe. So Daniel, you're the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him and to them that keep his commandments. So Jesus said the same thing in John fourteen fifteen. If you love me Keep my commandments. So how do we prove that we love him? How does all the people at Charlie Kirk Memorial, how do they prove they're really Christians? See, anybody can get up there with an AI generated sermon, right, with a teleprompter and even even be a Hindu. And you can be Jimmy Kimmel. You can be anybody and you can give allegiance to Jesus. Right? Right now, everybody. We'll know them by their fruits. So we'll know them by their fruits when they walk away from that podium. And I I don't know that there's anybody as good as making speeches as politicians. Right? That's that's their gig. Yeah. And they got teleprompters, man. I don't have a teleprompter. And but I got the holy spirit. Yeah. Hey. I got the holy spirit. Right? Me too. So I'm not gonna complain. You know? But, man needs all the help I can get. But it doesn't mean that somebody invokes the name of Jesus or of God and, and that we trust him. So I wanna illustrate this with Rick Warren at Barack Hussein Obama's inauguration. What did Rick Warren do? What who did he invoke? He invoked Jesus in an Aramaic or a of the of the Islam Islamic faith, the Mohammedans. What was the name Isa? So he invoked that, trying to say it's the same Jesus of the Muslims as of Christians. Right? Wow. And Obama, before people forget, claimed to be a Christian, and Rick Warren endorsed them to the evangelicals. And the evangelicals voted for him twice, not once. And he's claiming to be a Christian. And then he's on the news and with George Stephanopoulos, and he got caught in a misstep where he talked about his Muslim faith. Yeah. And his Stephanopoulos, you mean your Christian faith? Because the cat wasn't out of the bag yet. Right. After he's elected, he didn't have to play that role anymore. And we saw his his Muslim faith coming out, and, and not only that, but his homosexuality. So, because, you know, you gotta appear to be married to be elected, you know. They haven't gotten that far yet. So so you get you gotta look for the fruit. You gotta you gotta see, alright. Do you love God? If you love God, keep my commandments. It's obedience, a life of obedience. So it doesn't mean sin is perfection, but there's desire in your heart to not be a rebel, to not be continually live in a pattern as first John would would say, committed sin is the practicing of sin. It's a lifestyle the sinful lifestyle you've never repented of. And, but we all sin. If we say we have no sin, we lie and the truth isn't in us. So we all sin, but it's the practicing of sin. See these guys, forty years, Jeremiah is trying to get him to stop. Before that, the 10 northern tribes, the Lord destroyed them with the Assyrians in July. So complete apostasy of the northern and southern tribe and, the idolatry that they that they began to embrace. And Manasseh was so wicked, he was leading the people to a wickedness that was far greater than even the nations around them, the other nations. And, and his wickedness so great, fifty years of reigning that God said, I don't care if Josiah, Hezekiah, anybody, well, Josiah, not Hezekiah. He's the son of Hezekiah, but Josiah or any reformation, any any reforms that you make, the deal's sealed. I'm gonna judge. I'm gonna judge because this has to be judged. And, unfortunately, Manasseh came to know the lord because of affliction as the Assyrians put hooks in his him and let him let him away from Jerusalem. So that's interesting. And, before I was afflicted, went astray. Right? So my confession and said, oh, Lord, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy. So mercy, the covenant, mercy is not getting what I deserve. How many of us want mercy? To them that love him, to them that keep his commandments, we have sinned. So the we, the plural, he's speaking on behalf of the nation. He's coming in like like Moses as a spiritual representative under the before the Lord as an intercessor. And Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you and I. Amen. We have an advocate with the father. Right? And so Jesus is praying continuously for you and I. The devil's the accuser. He's accusing you and I, but Jesus before the throne of God is our defense attorney, advocating on our behalf. We all need advocates. We all need people that pray for us and intercede on our behalf. And we have the Holy Spirit in Romans eight that makes intercessions with groanings which cannot be uttered. So you and I, when we pray, we don't quite know how to articulate it, what to say, what words to use, what phrases, because I might want us pray in a really holy way like pastor Rick does in Elizabeth Elizabethan language. Oh, Lord thy God. You know? No. You don't wanna do that. The phrasing, the way that we we pray sometimes is like, well, I'm gonna pray King James. And if I pray it just right, then God will answer my prayer. Right? So you just pray from your heart talking to daddy papa. Just pray from your heart. Pray in spirit. And then and then and then, yeah, when you when you when you don't have the words, the Holy Spirit's helping you articulate, explain with groanings which cannot be uttered. Some of you have a spiritual language. You begin to pray and speak in tongues and the Lord begins to edify you. And he that speaks in unknown tongue speaks not unto God, edifies not men but himself. You're being edified as you're speaking under the Lord. And, the people in Acts two, what did they hear? The people speaking the wonderful things of God. They weren't preparing themselves to speak Russian to the Russians. That isn't the gospel of Russians. No. They spoke the wonderful things of God. And so it's a language of praise and prayer. He that speaks to unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God. Amen. And but we we we've been gifted in that way to to speak and to sing, and and we edify. We build up our inner man. So I prayed unto the Lord my God and made my confession and said, oh, God, great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, to them that keep his commandments. We have sinned and have committed iniquity and have done wickedly and have rebelled. So we've sinned, which is missing the mark. The iniquity means we went we we're twisted. We've twisted things. We've got off track, and we're a twisted people and and they have done wickedness. So there's all sorts of wicked things that we've done, and and we've rebelled. Rebellion is apostasy. Rebellion is turning against the Lord. Now I'm I'm not I'm not so surprised or worried about your sin. I'm not that worried because I know we all sin. We all miss the mark. None of us hit the bull's eye a 100%. So that's no shock to my system to know that that you're sinners. But if I find out that you're in rebellion, then my heart breaks. Yeah. Because rebellion's a long way from from being a sinner. Now you're hard in your heart, hard in your neck, stiff in your neck against God, and you've made him your enemy. And, and that's a that's a rough place to be. Some of our kids, we see them in living in rebellion unto God, family member, and that's a that's a precarious place to be. Do you think the Lord has to discipline them according to first Corinthians five to destroy their bodies, to be given over to Satan, destroy their body for the saving of their soul? Do we wanna see them in Hebrews 12? Whom the Lord loves, he chastens and scourges. How severe of chastening do we wanna see them have to endure? You know? I don't I don't pray that prayer. Lord, whatever it takes. I always try to shield it. I try to shield it a little bit. Lord, whatever it takes. Really, Rick? Whatever it takes? You're you're willing to watch me do whatever it takes? Lord, let her come let her come back softly. Send Christians into her life that can convince her she's got a wonderful home and family and and, church family. Lord, set her down easy. Right? So, Lord, in your wrath, remember mercy. Yeah. Amen. Remember mercy, Lord. And so they rebelled even by departing. So that's a departure. You're departing from the precepts and from thine ordinances. So I'm one that believes second Corinthians chapter two verse three, the great falling away that the apostle Paul describes is a departure. It's a rebellion against God. It's not a departure in the sense of the rapture. Nowhere is that word apostasy used in that way. It's always used in a negative way. And so I I believe and stand on the understanding that, part of what's happening is what we're watching and that Paul alludes to with Timothy chapter four and and first and second Timothy four and three of a description of apostasy, but I think that ties in with it in that there's no way mega could get away with what it's doing if Christians weren't complicit, professing Christians. It's a departure from the truth. It's a lack of discernment that allows this warp speed jab to genocide people. This warp speed jab and flu and vaccines to kill children and sterilize our children, And there's no outrage among the mega cult because they tell themselves they voted for the lesser two evils. Well, please explain that to me. I don't know that there could be any more people dying than that. It's a genocide. But, oh, wait. Let's just move past that. We're gonna make America great. Alright. Well, now now you've got the beast system being built. I thought you're a Christian. Why are you why aren't you coming out from among them be separate? Why are you looking up with the developers of the beast system? How come you're not outraged? How come you're not we're not hearing about that? So what's happening is it's an apostasy. It's the departure from the truth, which allows the salt has lost its savor. The salt is to preserve the culture. You Christians are the salt of the earth. You're the light of the world. The light is exposed darkness. So we love Ephesians five eleven. Right? Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. All you gotta do is expose it. You don't even have to take up arms. You don't even need to vote. You just expose them, and they hate being exposed. That's why they're coming with censorship. That's why they're going to give you a digital ID and a digital currency where you can't even you you can't even deny the lies they're telling. Yeah. You have to mimic the official narrative moving forward. They're afraid of you that are truth lovers and expose their lies. They hate it. Hillary especially hates it. We're losing the information war. You know? So it's a result of the church compromising and allowing the culture to redefine truth, which isn't truth, which is a lie. And it's rebellion against God. It dishonors God. And you're gonna see here where the nation of Israel actually became shameful, filled with shame with all the other nations around them. It said that some of the Babylonians came up to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego after they came out of that fiery furnace. And they said, with a god so powerful as that, why would you as a people worship idols? Mhmm. God using the unbelievers to rebuke us, of us abandoning, rebelling, turning from the word of the Lord and our relationship with him. What a what an exalted relationship the nation of Israel has. What an exalted relationship we have as Christians to to be called saints, departing from thy precepts and from thine ordinances. And God is so patient, isn't he? He didn't smack them down the first day they did it. He's long suffering, not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. Yes. Why didn't the Lord come yet? How come he hasn't come yet? How come the rapture is not yet? Cause just one more. Just one more. He's waiting for just one more. Neither have we hearken unto thy servants. Oh, there you go. God's backing me up. I'm a teacher of the word, and I can't get people to listen. Very few people wanna listen to the word of God. I don't want you to listen to me. Listen to God's word. If I say something wrong, you rebuke me. You call me on the carpet. But that's not the case, is it? It's they don't wanna hear. They call it doom and gloom. They don't wanna hear prophecy. They don't wanna hear what's going on. Why? Because they love the world. They're so in love with the world. They don't wanna let go of the world. So you haven't hearkened unto your servants. God sends his servants. He sends the prophets. Jeremiah, Isaiah. You know, what did Jesus say about, which of the prophets did not your fathers destroy? You know? Every single one God sent, you killed them. Right? You killed everyone. Crazy to be a prophet. Right? I'm not a prophet. But we speak forth the word of God according to first Corinthians chapter 14. The Lord speaks to edification, exhortation, and comfort. So the speaking forth God's word is the teaching of God's word also. Not just I had a word from the Lord, these guys did, but we as teachers, as disciples, as Christians, we speak forth God's word to the culture. We let them know God's word, which is prophetic. And we speak in a balanced way of edification to build them up. Every sermon that I do on Sunday, even now, the objectives edify you, which means to build you up. Exhortation, motivate you, and then to show you the cross to comfort you. Because on Sunday, I had several people coming up to me telling me they they liked the sermon, hundred and twenty minutes long sermon. And that's a long time to be in there. And and I said, boy, you guys are glutton for punishment because I kept screaming at you. You gotta die. You gotta die. And you loved it. You love me beating up on you. That's great. Crazy. Crazy. I didn't try to massage and appease and and say you're broken and and all that. I said, die. Die. Quit being obsessed with yourself and die. And they loved it. They loved it. Crazy people. Who does that? They do. They did that's what the it was the medicine they needed to swallow. We're all too selfish. What's the problem in my marriage? Selfishness. Me first. Pastor, what should I do? Die. Die. Take your cross up. Let Jesus live through you. Well, pastor, I was abused. I was hurt. I was all of us were. Jesus from a dysfunctional family. Bury that. Move forward. You're never gonna grow if you don't move forward. You keep looking back. No one put his hand on the looking back to fit for the kingdom of god. So bury that stuff. I can't bury it. Psychologist said I need to talk about it. Not with me. I heard enough. Bury it. Die. I'm crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet not I, but Christ live it through me. The life that I now live, I live by the faith of son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Forgetting those things and what you're behind, pressing forth. Right? Amen. Amen. You gotta press forward. Don't let the past victimhood don't be a victim of some guy that made you his dog and still has control over you. Because the devil will try to capitalize on it. And nobody's nobody nobody is underestimating or cheapening or trying to lessen the pain you feel. We just want you to focus on Jesus and experience the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death. Amen. He suffered far more than we have. And so the prophets who spoke in thy name or to the kings. They spoke to the kings. So the prophets spoke to the people, to the kings, the princes, and our fathers, and all the people. Did it cover everybody? You know, Jeremiah, he went right before the king. Isaiah before the kings. You know? They're sent in there. Paul, I wanna show you how you're gonna experience your best life now, Paul. No. That isn't that isn't God's calling on his life. He said, show him what things he must suffer for my name's sake. Do you want that calling? I don't want that calling. I want to be in the blessed me club, man. I don't want to suffer and all the people in the land. So God is long suffering. Oh, Lord, righteousness belongs unto thee. Underline that. But unto us, confusion of face. So if you try to approach God that you're exceptional, you don't know if you've ever sinned, your righteousness is as filthy rags to him. That's right. But if you come beating your breasts and won't so much as lift up your eyes to heaven and cry out, God be merciful to me a sinner, Jesus said that man went home justified. Amen. Just as if he never sinned. Right? God resists the proud. He gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up. Right? Amen. So when he says, but unto us confusion of face, that speaks of shamefulness, disgrace. We've disgraced you, and we walk around with shame on our faces. In every country we go, we're treated with contempt as Jews. As they're spread out around the world, there's a shame because they rejected God. They are rejecting God. As at this day to the men of Judah and did the inhabitants of Jerusalem and unto all Israel that are near and that are far, far off, through all countries to which thou has driven them, the wandering Jew, when all over the world, still all over the world, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. So if if you see the Lord destroying Jerusalem, destroying the 10 northern tribes and the southern tribes, I mean, if you can flee and you can get out of there, get out of there. Jesus told them in seventy AD, you know, that Titus, when you see the city, you know, flee. Don't even come down from the house. Flee. And the Christians that listen, they fled Jerusalem in seventy AD when Titus surrounded, and many of the Christians in the know survived. But a couple million Jews that were in the area that Titus was putting the siege upon in seventy AD, you know, millions died, and not one stone remained upon another. So should have fled. A lot of these Jews fled Mhmm. All over the world. And the miracle of the nation being reborn in one day, 05/14/1948, as the Lord is drawing still drawing many Jews back to the land. And no, it's not to be partitioned. It's not to be divided. They have the right given to them by God, unconditional covenant that the land belongs to them. And according to Ezekiel 30, thirty six and thirty seven, the Lord in one day caused them to be born again as a nation, regathered in unbelief, the true Israel of God will see as the those who believe. And so that one third remnant that's gonna come through the tribulation period, the fire. So God's not even done with him yet. I mean, I don't know what Daniel would do if he knew that they're gonna reject the Messiah and then go through this horrific period of time called the seventieth seven of Daniel. You know? Habakkuk, when the Lord was alluding to him what was gonna happen. If I told you Habakkuk, what was gonna happen, you wouldn't believe me. He had to be taught the just shall live by faith. You're gonna have to walk by faith, man. And that bitterness, sometimes when the prophet would have a bitter message to the people, his belly would ache. He'd he'd he'd get sick. I get sick when I hear heresy. When I hear somebody spouting off heresy, it makes my I get sick to my stomach, and I have to, I have to get get away from it. You know? And and I'm I'm thankful that the Lord triggers something within my being that when I'm hearing something heretical, that it does bother me. The desensitizing, the evil that desensitizes the people, pretty soon they're dull of hearing. They don't hear it. It doesn't bother them. They're past feeling. They have a reprobate mind. Right? They've heard so heard it for so long. So that's a good thing. If you sin and it bothers you, that's a good thing. If you can sin with impunity and continue to sin and sin and sin and sin and not bother, you're in a bad place. You're past feeling. And the Lord might need to up the ante to get your attention, know. And pain is a good thing that God uses to awaken us. So Lord, righteousness belongs unto thee, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all of Israel that are near, that are far off, through all the countries to which thou has driven them because the reason because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. And it speaks of their treachery. They're treacherous before God. And that's what that means, that trespass. You were treacherous, conniving. Oh Lord, to us belongs confusion. That, again, that shamefulness. The shamefacedness. Confusion of face to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers because we have sinned against thee. Amen. So the chaos that comes, the devil's the author of confusion, and, and that shame that comes as we shame God and as we shame ourselves. So you think in terms of God's discipline against those in Romans one that fall into idolatry because when they knew not God, they glorified him not as God, and then God gives them over. Right? Sure. I reckon but mine. Yeah. And in verse 18 talks about how they suppress the truth. They know the truth that there is a God. By very creation, they know he's in that form of revelation, God revealing himself in in creation. They suppress that. They begin to shame God by making idols and bowing down and worshiping these idols and forefoot beasts and things. So God then God gives them over, and now they're doing things that shame them. Men with men, women with women. Right? And it's shameful. And you see it still today, what we would call the normalization of homosexuality because they feel ashamed. They're going against God's design. And as going against God's design, what they want more than anything is acceptance, tolerance, love. Right? But no. The judgment a part of the judgment of God is is shaming them. For them shaming him. How shameful it is for them to take the God of creation and make him that he doesn't exist and everything just evolved and, how shameful. And we teach that in our schools to the kids. How shameful. How dishonoring to God. And so the Lord, our God belong mercies and forgiveness. So Lord, I'm coming back to your character and come back to who you are. Lord in your wrath, remember mercy. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. And the mercies of the Lord according to Lamentations three are new every morning. Don't you love that? And great is thy faithfulness. God's faithful. We're unfaithful, but he keeps his promises. Who wants to read Psalm a 130 verse four? And somebody read Lamentations three. It's about 21 through 23, right in there. Three twenty one through 23. It's because of the Lord's mercies we're not consumed. Great is thy faithfulness. One thirty verse four. Yep. But there is forgiveness with you that you may be feared. Amen. That you may be feared. Somebody else has Psalm a hundred and forty five seventeen, and somebody else Revelation sixteen seven. Revelation sixteen seven. Yeah. And Lamentations three twenty one through 23. Right in there. I can do Lamentations. Okay. Right now? Yes, please. Okay. This what what what verses again? It says it's because the Lord's mercies that were not consumed. Great is thy faithfulness. Yeah. Go ahead. His mercies are new every morning. Which what are the numbers to it? This I recall to my mind, therefore, have I hope. It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his passions fail not. They are new every morning, great as thy faithfulness. Amen. Thank you. I love that. I love that. Alright. Psalm a hundred and forty five seventeen. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works. He's never made a mistake. He never said oops. Revelation sixteen seven. You all got it? K. Revelation sixteen seven. And I heard another out of the altar say, even so, Lord God almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. So they're standing back watching his judgments, you know, the the seals, the trumpet, the bowl judgments being unleashed and everything, and the angels are standing back on true and righteous are your judgments. So, Lord, I mean, this is fascinating. Amen. Doing it right. And so, oh, Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, and to our kings, to our princes, to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. Until the Lord our God belongeth mercies and forgiveness. And what's forgiveness? Illustration of forgiveness. We got redemption and the forgiving the dad. A picture of the scapegoat. Remember the scapegoat? One goat is out in the wilderness. Right? And the other one gets executed in the blood without shedding blood. No forgiveness of sin. But an illustration is separating the sin from the sinner. You send it away. Right? He casts ours he takes our sins and he casts from the East and the West. He remembers them no more. That's a picture of forgiveness. Very good. And Cory Tambun would say, put a sign there. He casts our sins or our debts, whatever, into the into the sea, and she popularized. And he puts a sign up there that says no fishing. No fishing. No fishing allowed. So we don't go fishing and bring back things that somebody's wronged us if we've forgiven them. We've cast it away. Remember it no more. Right? We don't bring it up. And, love keeps no score. Love covers a multitude of sins. Right? So in marriage, you go in with your eyes wide open and half shut or something like that later. Alright. So to the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness that we have rebelled against him, neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God. This is God's word. God's spoken. God's commandments in Exodus 21 through 10. God spoke these words. A man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. So I love I love the idea. I love the truth of not just what's written, but what God speaks to your heart. It might be okay. There might be nothing wrong. Nothing wrong for you to have a cold, Runny nose. A horn. A horn. I'll get it. A trumpet. A trumpet. Yeah. Might be nothing wrong for you to have a nice business, make lots of money, have a house, you know, good vacation, all that kind of stuff. Nothing wrong with nothing evil. Riches increase, just don't set your heart on it. Where for Kathy and I, if we are in that groove and kind of building a life in that way, the Lord might speak to your heart and say, that's not what I have for you. And if you persist in going that way, it's disobedience against what I have for you. So we have what's called the rhema, god's spoken word to our heart. And so the lord, we're told to work out our salvation with fear and trembling for it's god who puts in you both to willing to do a physical pleasure. Lord speaking to your heart. And we're his poema, his work of heart, created in Christ Jesus under good works, which god has before ordained that we should walk in them. Right? Delight thyself in the lord, and he'll give you the desires of your heart. So the desires of your heart, when you live a crucified life, longer mean living. They're not gonna be like you have not because you asked that. You asked amidst the desire to consume them upon your own lust, but it's truly a desire to fulfill what God desires for you. So that's where the Lord speaks to you through his word. He speaks to you through circumstances, and he speaks to you in that still small voice. And you can't impose that upon everybody because God, that's not his plan and purpose for them. So when others, increase and are blessed, you should be rejoicing with them. And godliness with contentment is great gain for we brought nothing into the world, so we're gonna carrying nothing out. Right? And so, and with food and raiment, there would be content. Well, that's heavy. Mhmm. Really? With food and clothing? Want to be content? That's what Paul's saying? That's really? I've learned to be content? Paul had to learn. I've learned I like that. I've learned. There's a there's a period of time of learning in the Christian life. I'm learning to be content whatever state I am. California, Washington, it doesn't matter. I've been abased, and I've abounding. And I've learned to be content no matter what the circumstances are, Paul's saying. Great. And so the voice of the Lord, the Lord speaking. Imagine if all of us as Christians would obey the voice of the Lord. Wouldn't that be amazing? Spirit filled Christians moving and working in the gifts that the Lord's given each of us, every single one of us. How many of us bury? We bury it. We bury the investment God's made in our life rather than reinvesting the lives of others. So exciting when you discover your gifts, you when you just do what God's called you to do. It's so exciting how the body of Christ works together and accomplishes so much. No man goes to the Lord at his own expense. Right? We're all a part of this. All the body works together. So he he so obeyed the voice. Therefore, the curse is poured upon us, the judgment, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses. So he's reaching back to Leviticus twenty six fourteen, Deuteronomy twenty seven fourteen to 26, and they were to allow the ground to rest on the seventh year, the year of Jubilee, and the fiftieth year also. But they, for seventy years, they didn't do it. So or they owed the Lord or excuse me, four hundred eighty three years, they didn't do it. And so four ninety years. And so sometimes seven is forty nine. Yeah. So he gave them seventy years that they owed him. And, because God, we have sinned against him. So who do we sin? David said against thee and thee only have I sinned, yet he sinned against Bathsheba. He sinned against Uriah. He sinned against Ahithophel. Bathsheba was Ahithophel's granddaughter. David took her. And Ahithophel was David's counselor. And Uriah was one of his mighty men. And David had a harem of women. And God said, David, if you need another wife, just let me know. Why'd you take another man's? And David, Psalm 32, Psalm 38, Psalm 51, he's crying out for the Lord to restore in him the joy of his salvation, and he's recognized that when we sin, we sin against God. Right. First and foremost, we sin against God. It's a sin against him. If we sin against this creation, we sin against him. Amen. And he has confirmed his words. I love that. That's the only reason one of the only reasons why I keep going in a place that 99% rejects us. It'd be nice to be fishing in a place where the fish are biting, but I know that God's word doesn't come back void. Yeah. Amen. My confidence is God's word. If I'm putting God's word out there for thirty years, it's gonna accomplish what the lord says it's gonna accomplish. Jeremiah for forty years put the word out there. Yeah. But the word didn't come back void. Daniel's saying everything Jeremiah said is coming true. Yeah. The prophecies are true. The people of his generation didn't listen to him, but we can tell you. We can testify. It's true. We're proving it right now. We're confirming his words, which he spoke against us. It's true. And think of all the naysayers. Kathy told me the other day, we've said this before, but sometimes it's kinda nice when the Lord removes the mockers. Mhmm. Right. You spend a lot of time with the mockers. They take a lot of energy from you. They they don't believe. They're always questioning. They're always fighting against what God's saying, what you're trying to teach and all. And and then the Lord tells the mockers to leave. And when the mockers are gone, Jesus raises Jairus' daughter from the dead. Amen. Mhmm. The mockers are saying she's dead, and they're professional mourners. And they're mocking and laughing because Jesus says, she's not dead. She just sleepeth. And they mocked him to scorn, and he set them out. You guys don't get to see what I'm gonna do right here. Right? So they miss out. They miss out because of unbelief. Right? And so the door swings both ways at Calvary Birmingham. They're welcome to come back. They're welcome to go, but it's not going to deter me from teaching the truth Amen. Because I know his word doesn't come back void. And I want the Lord to move and work in the hearts of the people that are there. And we're getting more and more confirmation that the things God's been showing us, unbelievable confirmation, the things that he's been showing us, you know, since before even COVID, but during COVID and election cycles and the beast system and all this stuff is it's irrefutable happening. Yeah. But the people don't like it. They're still staying away because I'm gonna dance on that Titanic till it goes down. I'm gonna have fun till it goes down. That's a sad place to be. Confirmed his words, which he spake against us and against our judges that judged us by bringing upon a great evil for under the whole heaven has not been done that was been done under Jerusalem. I mean, we're God's people. Someone said it this way, God, if this is what you do to your friends, what are you gonna do to your enemies? I mean, these guys are wiped out. White. And and he's like, man, you haven't done this is unprecedented. This is unprecedented, you know. And Jesus said, except these days be shortened, you know, flesh should be saved. But for the elect's sake, the Lord Jesus can intervene. And Jesus said, the time is coming that the world's never seen nor ever see again the tribulation period. So it's cataclysmic, God's wrath being poured out. I don't want to be there. I'm praying always that I'd be accounted worthy to escape all these things and stand before the son of God. Do you realize that many of the people that reject the the rapture, they think they're more holy than you? They think they're more righteous than you. They think they're ready to go into the tribulation period, and it'll prove their faith is greater than yours. They're super Christians. And I'm like, I'm a wimpy Christian. I don't wanna go there. I wanna be raptured. You know? If he said, you pray, he always said, you'd be kind worthy. Escape these things. Instead of the force of God. That's where I wanna be. I don't like to learn by pain. God's a friend. You know? And so I thank him for enough faith to believe that the rapture based upon the scriptures, not what McDonald or Darby or anybody else says, based upon the scriptures, the continuity of the teaching in the Bible that we are not appointed under wrath. We're not subject under wrath. Mhmm. And so this great evil for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem. And so, boy, crazy, much required. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come upon us, yet made we not our prayer, before the Lord our God that we might turn. So there's a word we don't hear, repentance, turn. 180 degree. 180. We didn't listen to God's word. We didn't follow God's word. Moses warned us. You warned us in the in the Mosaic law that this would happen to us. Wake up. Wake up. We went to sleep. And because God doesn't judge today and he delays judgment, people somehow think he's not gonna judge. So they get real set in their ways, and there's a degradation. There's a breakdown of society. And I think of our grandkids right now and our kids. What kind of world are we leaving them? On our watch, what did we do to slow down the evil, the corrupting of the culture in which we live? So all evils come upon us. Evil, this word speaks of calamity. God's brought God directed the calamity to come upon them, his own people. It's come upon us. Yet made we not our prayers before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand thy truth. So what happened was, you know, we didn't turn and we didn't understand because we fell into relativism. We allowed relativism, existential humanistic philosophy of every man doing that which is right in his own eyes. We lost the we lost the pattern. We lost the the, Mark would say the old boundaries. What's the old boundary? We left the old boundaries. What's that verse you always quote? In Jeremiah and the The boundaries. We've removed the the stake. You know what mean? And, the old ways, if you will. Look to the old past. Yeah. And and so relativism, as we said today, the churches today are allowing a pragmatism. They're allowing a progressive they call it progressive. I'm a I'm I'm a progressor. We're progressing. So they're allowing the culture to dictate the church. The church is mimicking the culture rather than holding the ground, holding their line, staying with the word, staying firm, obeying God rather than men. And so, hey, if I want to be relevant, if I want people to come, if I want to grow, then I got to be like the world. Well, what's that mean? I got to I got to add women pastors because we're in a feministic mood right now. We want to be feminine. I've gotta have my worship leaders sing, like women. You know? I gotta have them dress like women. I gotta have them be very effeminate. You know? Because, we don't want a guy with a deep voice singing. That that'd be offensive. That's too male. That's too masculine. You know? And I like watching the guys grow their beards because they're basically saying to the women, try this. You can't do this. You know? And they're like, well, I'll take testosterone. I'll take the hormones. I'll grow a beard. Yeah. Then you're the most butt ugly person on the planet. You know? How's that working for you? God. So funny. Rebellion against God is just strange, isn't it? Right. But I'm hearing that the Catholics are drawing a lot of men because they're they're pushing a masculinity, a resurgence of an effort toward masculinity of being men. And, I don't know what kind of man they they're speaking of, but alright. So I wanna be like Jesus. He's the most manly man. Right? And he had a beard. He had a beard too. Yet made, our prayers before the Lord our God that we might turn for our iniquities and understand thy truth. And so look at that. And when you turn, then you start to understand. You start to understand his truth. We gotta bring the truth. We gotta bring the truth to them. We can't compromise the truth. We gotta bring it. We gotta speak God's word in love. And, the word confession, what if we get into first John one nine, if we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Chuck Messer called that the Christians borrow soap. So in first John one, if we say we have no sin, we lie, and the truth isn't in us. We all sin. But if we the blood of Jesus Christ, God's son continually cleansed man of all sin, So there's a practical, sanctification that's taking place where not just positionally the blood, paid for my sin, but the blood of Jesus actively is cleansing me of my sin so that I can have fellowship as the issue, not loss of salvation. And that fellowship is maintained by confession of sin, which means to agree with the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit's doing the convicting, not the condemning. The devil condemns. The holy spirit's convicting by showing us the cross that that's why Jesus died for us. And then the love within our heart, we wanna be joined in fellowship with the lord. So we're like Joseph. We say, how could I do this great evil against god? It's not the law. It's love, which love is the fulfillment of the law. So keep a short account. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath. You know, some some of you guys are so stubborn, you have to sleep on the couch. Say you're sorry. Sleep get a good night's sleep. Don't go sleep on the couch. Just tell her you're sorry. Confess your sin. She's always right. You know she is. Which of you men have ever heard your wife say she's sorry? Not yet. It doesn't happen. Not yet. Because she's because she's always right. She's always right. And you know what? Even if she's wrong, she's still right, so you better say you're sorry. Alright? Older guys that have been married this long, we know these things to be true. When you're young, you're just fighting for that spot, like, to be respected and wife submitting all that. Give it up. Give it up. Just just love your wives like Christ loved the church, gave himself for, and she'll respect you and follow your leadership. But you gotta love who's, what comes first? The chicken or the egg? You got to love her first. She's got to feel secure enough in that love, that Christ like love before she'll even trust you a little bit. Right? Alright. So so they obeyed not his voice. And now, oh, Lord God, I just gave some marital counseling. Right? I I think we just saved some marriages right there. Or at least you guys won't have to sleep on the couch tonight. There you go. And now, oh, Lord our God, who has brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt, Egypt's picture of the world of your prior life when you lived in Egypt, the nation itself was formulated, that formed the nation in the in the crucible of the four hundred and thirty years that they were in Egypt. And so the picture of of Egypt is out of the world, And then we see with the Passover, their savior Jesus coming and, the Passover lamb to pay for their, sins. And then we see Joseph as a type of Christ to save many people. That which you meant for evil, God meant for good to save many people, he told his brothers. And then we see the Red Sea baptized in the Red Sea, and then they came out of the Red Sea into the promised land, resurrected, formed, made a nation. And so the birth of a nation, and God said to Abraham, I'm gonna start with you, the Abrahamic covenant. Does the Red Sea symbolize the blood of Jesus? I don't know about that. That's interesting. I thought it was the Red Sea. It symbolized baptism. Paul said baptism, down into the sea coming out. But actually, it's the Red Reed Sea anyway. It it, these guys, they they died in three inches of water. Know. The Egyptians, you know, with a mighty hand and has gotten the renowned as it is this day. We have sinned. We have done wickedly. So he's pleading for mercy. He's an intercessor as we saw with Moses. Moses intercedes so intently that he said, Lord, save these people, and if necessary, block my name out of your book. I'm willing to die in their place. Right? No, Mo. I don't need to do that. And the apostle Paul, he said, if if I could, like Moses did, if I could, you know, give up my own salvation for for for the Jews, you know, for these people, my countrymen. Right? Abraham pleaded. Abraham pleaded. Abraham at the intercessor. For Lot? Yep. Tell me about that. There's 15. 40, if there's, you know, 30, if there's 20, will you will you save it for will you save the city for this many people? Was there 10? 10. Yeah. Was there 10? I I no. No. There wasn't. Not even 10. He was afraid to ask for a hint. I think he reached the limit there. I think he did. Right? I think he got the hint. Point. Yeah. Got the hint. Right? But, boy, what a great negotiator. Mhmm. The Jews are the best negotiators. He was an intercessor negotiator. Right? And we should negotiate. We should stand in the gap. We should plead. God's wanting a reason to forgive. He's that's what he's waiting for with Moses. Now Moses could have said, that's a great idea. Snuff these people out. Make a people for me. You know? Call them the Moses people. You know? But he didn't fall for it. He didn't get intoxicated with pride. He instead saw, no. These are your people. What would all the nations say if you couldn't fulfill what you promised them that you failed in getting them, into you the promised land and all. And, so Moses put it back on him. So Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee. Let thine anger and thy fury be turned away, from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain where the temple is. Because for our sins and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and the people are become a reproach to all that are about us. So the humility, the breaking, the I don't know if you've ever been broken, but it's, it's not a fun thing. And, just horrible, horrible, horrible. But these guys, suffered reproach, and, we're to be above reproach. Doesn't mean we're perfect, but, not to be a reproach in the community. So I don't wanna be the pastor that goes down to the bar and, comes out drunk and slurs my speech. And, you know, I don't wanna be like the world. I wanna be separate from the world. Now you may have that liberty of drinking or whatever. I don't wanna be the cussing pastor. I don't wanna be the sex pastor. I don't wanna be any of those things these guys use to try and be relevant with the world. I don't wanna go to bars and drink and act like I got a liberty to save people at the bar. The bar people don't want me there. Just get out of there, you idiots. But these guys do. And then they get DUIs and they brew beer and they say, what would Jesus brew? You know? Spurgeon smokes cigars. So now I'm going to smoke a pipe. I'm to smoke a cigar. I don't need to go there. You can go there. If that's your liberty, that's fine, but that's not who I am. So you gotta all things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient, and I won't be brought into the power of any. I respect the fact that I could become a reproach because if I started going to the casino with Ray and Betty, I might get addicted to it. If I started drinking the free booze that they give, I might become an alcoholic. Because with me, a little bit of sugar's not enough. I got to have it all. I got to pound it. I got to go at it aggressively. Right? And so I got to say, you know what? That has the potential to really take me down as it took my mom down, my family members down. I got to have a healthy respect for the things that could really take advantage of me in a time of weakness. Right? Because I'm a weak person. But the Lord is strong. Now therefore, o our God, hear the prayer of thy servant and his supplication and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate for the Lord's sake. I love this. This is number six twenty five. Right? We sing it every week. I learned it from pastor Chuck. It's right here. The lord bless thee. Now warn me next time I try to sing our father. Oh, no. We can we can we can just say it. We can read it. Okay? We don't have to try and put it to the tune because I can't sing it. But this is may his face shine upon thee, which speaks of grace. So he's pleading, Lord, cause your grace to be poured out here. Grace is unmerited favor. We don't deserve it. So we don't want justice. We don't want what we deserve. We don't want mercy. I mean, we do want mercy. We don't want what we deserve. We're not pleading for justice because if you gave us what we deserve, you'd destroy us completely. We want grace, unmerited favor. And I love the early church that says, and great grace was upon them. That's what I want great grace. I don't just want grace. I want great grace. I want God's favor upon us. Don't you? Yeah. I want God to shine upon us, pour out his spirit upon us. I do believe the Lord could start with us a revival, at least a revival in our hearts, a revival in our little fellowship. Right? It could start in Bremerton. I don't believe these fake revivals these guys are talking about. Not yet. I'm hoping. I'm yearning. But, I don't see it yet. Why? Because I don't see repentance. There's no repentance. They want revival without repentance. They want the crown without the cross. Upon thy sanctuary, this is desolate for the Lord's sake. Oh my God, incline thine ear. You ever prayed and the Lord's not listening? I'm not listening. He prayed with himself, we're told the Pharisee. He prayed with himself. Oh my God, incline thine ear and hear. God got a hearing problem? Open thine eyes. Is God blind? God can't see what's going on? Sometimes you're like, Lord, do you see this? Do you see this? Can you hear me? I got in a real bad place with the Lord where I used to, in a mocking way, I used to say, read my lips. This real simple guy. Sell a building. I used to say that to him in a mocking way, like, if you just sell a building, everything will be paid for. He didn't sell a building. Maybe it's because I was a smart aleck. Kathy says I get us in a lot of trouble because I'm a smart aleck. And you know what? I saw that tendency in Ruthie too. Ruthie's learning. Uh-huh. She's gonna be a good smart aleck. She's so precious. But you can see your sins in the in your own children and grandchildren, I guess. Not that it's a sin. It's okay. But need to be respectful. Right? And some of us can reach the end of our of ourselves, and a part of us comes out that we're ashamed of later. But but he didn't smite me dead. He just let me go through it. So shine upon us, open thine eyes, behold our desolation in the city which is called by thy name for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. So we're crying out for mercy. And again, I fasted. I prayed. I tried to analyze how I was praying. I tried everything I could think of of is there sin in the camp? Is there anything that Babylonian garments that are buried? Is there any unconfessed sin? I tried everything I could think of to get the flow going again, and I couldn't get the prayers to be answered the way I was petitioning and asking. So I had to conclude that God, in his sovereignty, answered my prayer. No. Paul prayed three times that the messenger of Satan that was buffeted him would be removed. I mean, that's a pretty heavy messenger, that messenger of Satan. Right? Punching Paul in the face, giving him malaria, eyes oozing, some great, great painful thing that's taken place. This is a great apostle Paul that could pray for Eutychus. When Eutychus falls out of the rafters and dies, Paul can raise him from the dead, but Paul can't get a prayer answered to heal himself because God heals sovereignly. He heals when he wants to heal. So I prayed for Stephen and, oh, he healed. Prayed for Thomas. He got ulcers. You know? So it's it's up to the Lord. You know? Heals how he wants. But he said no, that's an answer to prayer. So where do we learn that? We learn that with Jesus in the Garden Of Gethsemane. Father, if you're willing, remove this cup from me, the cup of wrath that I'm about to drink, but nevertheless not as I will, but thy will be done. So as we sovereign we recognize God's sovereignty and we surrender to his perfect will for our lives. We might have a plan, and that plan may seem like it's the best thing, but God says, no. I got something better. My grace is sufficient for you for my strength's perfected in weakness. I'm gonna make you weaker, that I might be stronger, that your faith might grow, your discernment might grow, that I might prepare you for the position I have for you in the millennium. Can you look that far ahead? Yes. It's not always in this life. Yep. But God's preparing us for the millennium. Amen. Right? Yep. Vicky knows. That's right. Alright. So so my God, incline thine ear and hear and open thine eyes and behold our desolation in the city which is called by your name. For we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. We're appealing to your great mercies. We know your character. We know that you're a merciful God, and, we're crying out. So Jonah, Jonah was told in Jonah two verse eight, they that observe lying vanities, the people in the mega, the people that are being deluded and deceived right now, they that observe lying vanities, they're following the pied piper, the Trojan horse, the empty promises. They forsake their own mercy. You're being saved. Worthless idols. Worthless idols. You your idol you're making an idol out of America. You're making an idol out of your leaders. You're gonna have a day now for a guy that just died. A special day. You know how many martyrs there are? Only two. Only two? Well, Joseph Smith was the first one that died a martyr in America according to Glenn Beck. The second one is Charlie Kirk. And although we respect and revere and love and all that, as Kevin said to me today, he told his church, there's no special day for Stephen when he was martyred. Right? You have Fox's book of martyrs. Yeah. You got martyrs in Syria right now, martyrs in China, martyrs in Iran, the fastest growing church in the world, in Nigeria. China. The church doesn't seem to care about ISIS destroying Christians in Syria right now. Nobody seems to care. But all of a sudden, we're we're gonna make an idol out of the golden age, moving in the direction of the golden age. We're gonna have a seven seven mountain mandate. We're gonna we're gonna get Jesus to come back in our timing when we take control of education and the economy and government, arts, and they got seven agendas, seven mountain mandate, the NAR and the Catholics and everybody. Oh, really? It's the antichrist system. The antichrist system. Yeah. So they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. So what would the solution be, pastor Rick? Repentance. I would follow the model of Nineveh who weren't even God's people. I won't even take you to second Chronicles seven fourteen and buy into the idea that you're a Christian nation anymore. I would take you to a pagan nation where God says, forty days, I'm gonna destroy you. Right. And from the king on down, they repented, and they got what's called a reprieve. Reprieve. God held back judgment upon Nineveh for over a hundred years. Do you wanna reprieve? You wanna slow down and be salt and light and slow down the putrefying of our culture so the antichrist has to wait a little longer? Satan's been wanting this for a long time. Long time. It comes by way of repentance. God can wipe all their plans out, all the UN, all the WAF. The whole thing could be just wiped out in a second. Yeah. Right? If he wanted to give us a reprieve. And then the other way to look at it is this is really good. We're getting out of here. Amen. Amen. But I have to be careful with that because I'm occupied till he comes. I gotta keep resisting evil, exposing the evil, all that. It's a war. It's a fight. And I remember hearing about a guy that was in San Francisco, and he he used to walk the streets of San Francisco with a sandwich board. Repent. One side, you know, Jesus is coming again. Repent. And the guy came up, I've seen you out here year after year after year. It's not working. Nobody's repenting. Why do you keep doing this? Nobody's changing. And he said, so I won't change. Mhmm. Uh-huh. When you're doing what God tells you to do, at least you don't fall in that slippery soup they have. You know? You you're not corrupted. You don't fall in and give in. Keeps you honed and strong. Supplication for thee in our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. Oh, Lord, hear, oh, Lord. Forgive, oh, Lord. Hearken and do. Do. God, do. It's time for you to do. Defer not. How long have you been praying? How long have you been waiting for God to do what he's put on your heart for you to pray for? How long are you gonna pray? In chapter 10, we're gonna see Daniel praying for twenty one days. Very first Daniel, you began to pray, oh, greatly beloved. But I was fighting with a prince of Persia. There's a spiritual battle going on. And somehow our prayers are like drones. They're like missiles. They're like fiery darts, and and our prayers tie in with the good angels that are warring with the bad angels and God's sovereignty and his will and Jesus interceding the holy spirit. Somehow we get to be a part of that that battle, that spiritual battle. Our prayers have merit. We don't wanna face the lord one day and have the angels walk up to us and say, why didn't you guys pray more? Right. Why'd you quit praying? Oh, hear, oh, Lord. Forgive, oh, Lord. Hearken and do. Defer not for thy own sake, oh my God. For thy city and thy people are called by thy name. So there's a pastor that went up to heaven, and he had to pass, Simon Peter to get into the pearly gates. And Simon was there, and he was the one that that, determined how the rewards that people would get. And and, this pastor got up there and the just hardly any rewards he went on through. And and, behind him came a taxi driver, and the taxi driver came. And, man, the thing started spinning, going off, won the jackpot, tons of tons of reward, and and, the pastor's all indignant. You know? Like Right. Why does he get so many? And Simon Peter said, well, when you were preaching, people fell asleep. They were sleeping. When this guy was driving, they were praying. Alright. Alright. We're gonna stop there because next week is so much fun. So we're gonna finish. We're gonna see Gabriel. We're gonna see Gabriel in the first four verses. He's going to to verse 23. He's gonna bring an answer to Daniel because Daniel's really thinking the Messiah is gonna come. Daniel doesn't see this next part, and then it's gonna be explained to him that of Messiah being cut off can be explained to him the tribulation period, and and prophetically, what's up ahead. And so very fascinating, very exciting. Don't want to miss out. Don't wanna rush through it. So alright. Let's pray. Father, we thank you. And, we lift up Thomas's legs. We pray you heal his legs, and thank you for the doctors, nurses, all the people that are helping him to get rid of the ulcerating legs and all. Thank you that Steven's feeling better. Lord, we lift up, Steven, with his hematoma in his back, and thank you that he's able to go on the cruise and be rested and all that. We just pray for him that you heal him totally and completely and continue to heal Mike Goodson. Lord, heal Sally of her cancer. Heal Joe of his cancer. God, you're a god who heals. And, Lord, we pray that you bless our families. Pray you bless this little fellowship. Lord, we pray you bless our nation. We pray that you would raise up a standard against the wickedness and the lies of the wicked one that seeks to deceive so many. We pray that judgment begin at the house of God that we would truly lead ourselves and and and all of us, Lord, to that place of confession and repentance that we'd be walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. And, Lord, we pray for, your hand of protection upon our families, our children, and, our communities. And, Lord, we pray that you'd raise up a standard. Lord, we pray that you as you pour out your Holy Spirit, that truly we'd see hearts revived, people drawing closer to you, the word of God being taught, people getting excited about the Bible, excited about prophecy, excited about your soon return. And, that can only happen as a result of the moving and working of your holy spirit. Use us as you see fit, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. As the sign says as the sign says, God allows U turns. U-turn for Christ. Amen.
