Father, in Jesus' name, we just thank you, Lord, for the all the Irish missionaries, Lord, that are there. I just ask you, Lord, that you might anoint the Christian missionaries that are over there, and they may see the blood of Jesus Christ. I ask you, Lord, that you might bless the bible study today. And, Lord Jesus Christ, bless the hearers. Lord, if there's anybody that needs healing or marriages restored, I we claim that victory to happen, Lord. In Jesus' name. Not down the road, but Lord Jesus Christ, immediately, Lord. In Jesus Christ's name, through the love of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name. And, Thomas, would you pray for the martyrs in Syria? Okay. The Christian martyrs in Syria, the families and the Christians there. Father, I ask you, Lord, that where persecution is arises. It says that trouble will arise, but grace is more abundant, Lord. Hallelujah. We just pray, heavenly father, for the those people that are suffering, Lord, for you. Lord Jesus Christ, also in North Korea, Lord Jesus Christ. A friend a guy guy Korean told me when when the people in South Korea go to North Korea, sometimes they don't come back. Welcome those of you on Facebook and such, and let's pray. Father, thank you for the night that we can gather in your name here, Rob, Vicky, and Brandon's, and we commit this night in your hands as Saint Patrick's Day. We thank you for missionaries that you've sent out all over the globe and historically as Saint Patrick went to Ireland and Russia and such and we just thank you for that heart, the spirit within the missionaries Lord. We thank you for those who have the heart to go to obey the the great commission to go and make disciples all over the world and I just thank you for this time Lord that in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria the uttermost that Lord we have the opportunity also to go with the glorious gospel. So bless tonight and we praise and thank you for healing Gary of cancer. We lift up Alan and Cora who may be watching and we pray you continue to heal them and you continue to heal Tammy and Jim and anybody else that's been suffering sickness, been down with this flu and and thank you lord as COVID was a big challenge. Thank you that you healed Gary of the big c, the big cancer one lord, and the cancer that was in his hip bone lord, you've alleviated that and removed that. And so we thank you. You're a God who works miracles. You're the same yesterday yesterday, today, forever. You're the great physician. And so bless tonight, Nourish us spiritually and build us up, strengthen us, bless our families, and bless our community and be glorified. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Alright. Restoration of Israel to the land. And so Israel is gonna spend seventy years in Babylon. And after that seventy years, when the Medo Persians, when they overthrow Belshazzar in Daniel five, just about seventy years are up. And then Cyrus allows a group to go back to Jerusalem and to start to rebuild the temple that had been destroyed and to come into the land. And very few went and then in Hosea, there's an exhortation after about fifteen years then dropping the ball and rebuilding. The Lord had tried to them that you're rebuilding your houses and you're lining it with cedar and you're, you know, putting yourselves first, but you're leaving the spiritual aspects of the nation, you know, putting it on the back burner and not rebuilding my house. And so Zerubbabel, it's the time of Zerubbabel Temple, the second temple period as it as it continued in the time of when Jesus was on the scene with Herod the Great. They they combined the two and call that the second temple period, and and so that's what's happening. But the the Israelites, those that were in Babylon, many of them got into commerce. They began to enjoy making money and being, you know, worldly and that and that sort of thing. And so a lot of them were dispersed in various countries, continued to migrate to other countries. And then in seventy AD when Titus surrounded the city and destroyed Jerusalem again and Jesus said not one stone remain upon another, The d s four of the Jews went all over the all over the world, and so places like South America, places like China, places like Iran, New York City at one time had the largest concentration of Jews, you know, in the world. And another interesting thing in chapter thirty six and thirty seven as we're telescoping, so you see immediate reference to Jews in the land after the seventy years, and then you see them building up in the land on the time of of Christ when the Lord Jesus is there. And then you see the diaspora. They're scattered all over the nation of Israel. You know, the Romans declared it Palestine. They were wanting to try and destroy even the the name of it and all. And they did it with a derogatory term, Palestia, and is a Latin word, and Philistia, they took it from the Philistines. But but god says here in Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven, one day he'd draw them all back and they would be reborn. Chapter seven, you'll see them being reborn, and so he's gonna bring them back into the land which is unprecedented in history. Typically, if an ethnic group is outside of the land for at least four generations, they lose their identity. So you never run into a Philistine or an Edomite or these ancient peoples that also lived at the time that they were living. You don't run into them. So the what's also interesting is that if you look at some of the commentaries on the bible before 05/14/1948 when Israel was reborn as a nation, the commentaries before that period didn't believe that Israel would ever reinhabit the land. They were thinking it was symbolic and it's what's called replacement theology. They thought that the church replaced Israel. And we hear a lot about that today even though Israel is in the land and growing, which is a huge miracle. We we hear many commentators, many people, many Christians interpreting the book of Revelation as, you know, in an allegorical symbolic way. And so I like what one commentator said, if you're gonna do that, then you need to explain to us in Revelation chapter seven where he says there's gonna be 12,000 from each tribe. You remember that? 12,000 from each tribe? Then who's that speaking of if that's not Israel? So now you got to rely upon allegorical or spiritualize that. And once you start spiritualizing the Bible, when do you stop? So now you're gonna spiritualize the millennium. Now you're gonna come to chapter 20 of the book of Revelation and you're gonna allegorize that and say, hey, we're already in the golden age. We're about ready to go and we're gonna be dominion theology and kingdom now theology. And so when do you stop when you get away from interpreting the bible literally, which we're gonna do tonight, and you start to allegorize, spiritualize it, then it can mean anything. And so a guy like Joseph Smith can come along and he can say that he's got some wicked glasses that he put on, and he can interpret reinterpret everything just simply wearing those glasses. Right? And I don't know if it's Herbert Herbert w Armstrongism at all. They would interpret different groups would interpret in Denmark, it would be the tribe of Dan, and so it's called British Israelism. So they would say that the the the tribes, the 12 tribes that you can see them, you know, in Europe. And and pastor Chuck always says, you know, like the Dan, it would be the Danish, and then Chuck would go around and he'd say, and that's just foolish, you know. So anyway, a little joke there. Yeah. How do you how do you how do you British Israelism, how do you take the various nations around Great Britain in Europe and say those are the ancient lost tribes of Israel? Doesn't work. So German ish, foolish, the French ish, I don't know. Alright. Scottish. So verse one, also thou son of man prophecy unto the mountains of Israel and say ye mountains of Israel hear the word of the Lord thus saith the Lord God because the enemy has said against you even in the ancient high places are are in possession. So there's the boasting going on. Remember we talked about the Edomites and they're saying raise it raise it, you know, and Israel's getting wiped out. The Lord's gonna say, well, guess what? You guys are gonna be totally wiped out, but I'm gonna restore Israel back into the land. So thus saith the Lord God, because they have made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side that you might be a possession unto the residue of the nations, And so you're gonna travel all over the world and the dispersion of the wandering Jew wandering all over the globe and that's why in Matthew 24, Jesus is gonna send his angel out to grab hold of the nation of Israel from the four quarters of the earth. So all over the globe, the regathering of the elect, the woman of Revelation 12, the nation of Israel, the Jews. And and swallowed you up on every side that you might be a possession under the residue of the nations and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers and an infamy of the people. So everybody likes to talk. Bunch of talkers. I've got a I almost was able to post this today, but I couldn't find it. But we we're in March, and we have a lot of us that start something out on January 1. We call it a New Year's resolution, and we say, alright. I'm gonna I'm gonna lose weight. I'm gonna start exercising, get on the treadmill, and I'm gonna diet. And, you know, and by by March, a lot of us have said, well, I'm gonna read the bible. I'm gonna read through the bible this year. I'm gonna and you put forth a resolution, you know, that you're gonna do, and then what it comes down to is we, you know, we we a hard time. It's hard to follow through with those that resolve, you know. We lose the resolve, you know. There's too much food around me. There's just too much food. I can't I can't do it. Kathy brings cheese to bed. I can't I can't hold back and and it's it's her fault. It's the woman you gave me. And so you you lose that resolve. Well, I go to a gym that's a power lifting gym and about a month ago, there was a woman there, a young gal, and she was pregnant. And I mean, she was really pregnant. And I got the video. I couldn't find it. And I mean, like ready to have the baby pregnant and she's over there doing a barbell squat. She's got the bar behind her back and she's got this belly way out there and I sent it to Britney and she's going down and she's getting parallel and she's going through a whole set with two forty fives on each side. And I'm looking at that and I'm going, that's insane, you know. Look at that woman. And because I don't know very many men that could do that. You know? And she had this great balance thing with that big belly out front, you know, and everything. So a ballast. She had the ballast there. And so I went over and I asked her, hey. Can I videotape you? You know? And she said, sure. And so you gotta ask them ahead of time, and she did. But I wanted to put that out there to remind all of us that talk is cheap. No. You know? Okay. This woman's doing it. So a lot of people like to talk about you. They're haters. You know? They like to say and and slander you and say bad things about you and say you're sick and say you're a Jew and say you're a flattered there, you know, and all that. And and you're a globalist, you know, and and that's what they did about the Jews. They were slandering the Jews. They were making them a, you know, a a byword. And and you think of the way the that Hitler and the Germans demonized the Jews. Didn't they even use, like, rats? They began to call them rats, and they began to attack their ethnicity of how they you know, making them less than human. They were trying to demoralize them and reduce them from being human beings with the dignity of being made in the image of God and creating a hatred that would allow the German people, and not just the German people, but The US, the American people, so many countries that could have received them as Hitler tried to send them, you know, around the globe refused refused the boats that would bring them. And so the Christians were told to sing louder as these Jews would be heading to Auschwitz on railroad cars screaming, and the church would just sing and the soldiers would call themselves Christians and follow orders and put them in ovens and things like that. And so 6,000,000 Jews, if you go to the Holocaust Museum, they'll authenticate it and show, and it was because people began to hate. And it starts with it starts with speech, it starts with people talking bad, talking trash, and then it carries over. So we don't want to be those kind of people, do we? Martin Luther, as he starts the Reformation, as he understands justification by grace through faith alone, and he was in a works relationship as a priest and as a lawyer, and he didn't like the dogma and the works gospel that the Catholics were putting forth. And he is climbing up these steps on his knees, and he's got this revelation the Lord gives him that the just shall live by faith, Romans one sixteen and seventeen. And and it changed his life and began to reform, you know, come against the Catholic soteriological heretical errors. And and so the Protestant Reformation protesters, you know, exploded, and the Bible's translated into various languages. And the common people are you know, have the bible in their native tongue, and people began to be evangelists and spread the gospel and all. But all of that good, he fell into the trap of blaming the Jews for killing Jesus. You ever heard that before? People blame the Jews. The Jews are the ones that, you know, killed Jesus. And why why is that wrong, that thinking? Because he gave himself. Because we killed him. Rob says he gave himself. Thomas Saint Patrick said we did it. Yep. Right? That's right. Did the Romans do it? Was it Pilate at fault? Was Judas at fault? Who are we gonna blame? The blame game. Ourself. He laid his own life down. Ourself. I don't So number one, he laid his own life down. He said, no man takes my life from me. I have power to lay it down and power to take it again. So we would say love nailed him to the tree. Amen. And we see in Hebrews 12, for the joy that was set before him, so he's looking to the joy, the joy of saving you and I and spending all eternity in the splendor of his kingdom. He knew that as he prayed in the garden, father, if you're willing, remove this cup from me, but nevertheless, not as I will, but thy will be done. There was no other way than for him to be the sacrificial lamb, the lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world. So it although his nation rejected him and although his nation, the Jews, suffered the consequences of rejecting their messiah in that their temple and their city was destroyed in seventy AD by the Romans, he still gave them a covenant, gave them prophecies, one of which is here in Ezekiel chapter thirty six and thirty seven that he would restore them one day, that he would draw them back into the land. So in seventy AD as they're dispersed all over the world, it's, you know, close to two thousand years from Ezekiel, about twenty five hundred years from this prophecy, but a little almost two thousand years ago that they were dispersed. And so the Zionist movement that began to take place at the end of the eighteen hundreds, at the beginning of the nineteen hundreds, intensified after World War two and the the Holocaust, the sentiment of the world and all, and the Belfar Declaration. So on 05/14/1948, the globalist, the British, allowed Israel, those that wanted to come back, to fight against the Arab nations to see who would win, and whoever would win would get the the little land, the real estate that was once called Israel. And miraculously against tremendous odds, the Jews won and they were able to take possession, physically take possession of a land that and and the identity reestablishing the nation of Israel. So as I said, many commentators thought that was so outlandish, like if we were to look at prophecy, is it possible that the present day nation of Israel that one day they would rebuild a temple? Is that possible? Yes. Do you believe that would ever take place? Do you believe they'll ever get the ashes of the red heifer ready with no little white blonde hairs coming through as recently they found in these red heifers that they were so ready to to use as a sacrifice and bring forth the ashes of the red heifer so that they could then build, rebuild their temple, the third temple period which would be the temple for the antichrist. And when we get to chapter 40 through 48, we're gonna see Ezekiel's temple or the millennial temple that Jesus is gonna have rebuilt in the millennium. But what about the nation of Israel there and the Antichrist going into that temple and fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel, the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. I mean, there's so many things looking ahead that are going to happen, and many people don't believe these things are gonna happen. You know, they think that, no, it it doesn't matter. That stuff's in the past. That already happened in seventy AD, and the church has taken the place of Israel. So again, that's why the churches don't teach prophecy, and that's why they don't teach the book of Revelation because they don't know how to teach it if they're gonna allegorize or spiritualize it. It just doesn't make sense and so it's very irrational and that's why so many of them shy away because it's so difficult if you don't, you know, understand the difference between the church and the nation of Israel. There's a difference and so we are the bride of Christ, the nation of Israel is the wife of Jehovah. And so the nations are boasting, they're talking them down and there's a lot of antisemitism today, people talking down Israel and talking down Jews. Therefore you mountains of Israel hear the word of the Lord God thus saith the Lord God the mountains and the hills to the hills, the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken. So he's talking about the land. And why does the land, the land of Israel, that land mass, is not as big as Russia, is it? No, it's just so tiny. How big is it? Not too big. North Carolina? Rhode Island. Rhode Island, New Jersey. It's very small, very But man, it's always in the news, isn't it? And everybody wants it. Everybody wants to take control of it and divide it. The nations want to divide it into two parts, you know, three parts. And God doesn't like the idea of you dividing his land, so be careful. Which became a prey, p r e y, and a derision to the resident of the nations that are round about. Therefore, thus saith the Lord God, surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residents of the nation. So the fire of my jealousy, know, he's got this love for them. Paul said with a godly jealousy. So it's this passion, this fire, this passion that he has for Israel, the desire to protect them. I've spoken against the residue of the nations and against all Edom, the Edomites of Mount Seir, of Basra, Petra, Moab, who have appointed my land, so you've made a note I mean, be careful of the Abraham Accord, president Trump and Jared Kushner in Saudi Arabia and anybody else that's gonna come in there and begin to broker and to do to decide what to do with Jerusalem and what to do with the Palestinians, what to do with the Arabs, what to do with any kind of Muslims or whoever's there in Jerusalem, be very careful of dividing God's city and dividing, you know, the nation of Israel. Who have appointed my land under their possession, So is the UN gonna take authority? Are they gonna take possession of it? With the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds to cast out for a prey. So we're gonna we're gonna take possession of it and cast out the Jews, you know. Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel and say unto the the mountains and to the hills and to the rivers and to the valleys, thus saith the Lord. So watch that phrase, thus saith the Lord. This is God talking. Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy into my fury because you have borne the shame of the nations. Therefore, thus saith the Lord God, I've lifted up my hands surely the nations that are about about you they they shall bear their shame. So they're gonna be judged. The nations that are about you that are conspiring against you, they're gonna bear their own shame. Verse eight, but ye o mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people of Israel for they are soon to come home. So God's gonna restore the land. God's going to cause the land to bud like a rose, you know. He's gonna cause this land that's just desolate and not producing fruit, not producing flowers, not any kind of production. And if you go to Israel today and if you look at Israel since 05/14/1948, they've taken desert areas, they've rerouted the Jordan River, they've washed sand, they've taken areas that were marshland with lots of mosquitoes and all. They've re irrigated and caused the fresh water to flow in, all water to flow out. They've developed all sorts of geoengineering with tomatoes and and we sometimes see a drip irrigation where they've been able to devise a means of bringing water in a very economical way and and efficient manner to have just little drips of water in their gardening and greenhouses and such. And so they wind up producing so much fruit and vegetables and flowers that they provide this fruit to all of Europe and around the world. So they're able to to produce in that fashion and just amazing. For behold, I am for you, not against you. What's the Lord putting on your heart? Are you afraid? You afraid to take a step of faith? Is God for you or is he against you? Romans eight thirty one says what? Since before us who can be Is it an if or is it a since? Since. Since God is for us, that's a foregone conclusion. You can bank it. Right? Since God is for us, who can be against us? Right? In Romans eight, as you continue, who shall separate us from the love of God? Can the devil? No. Can the devil who goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour? Can the principalities, the powers, can any demons is there anybody powerful enough to separate you from the love of God? No. So no matter what happens to you, the smile of God's upon your life. God's smiling his grace upon you and that's a good place to be, isn't it? To know that God is for me, God is not against me. And there's now therefore no what? Condemnation. No condemnation. So when you're experiencing condemnation, that's not coming from the Lord. Right? That's coming from the wicked ones. You're gonna have to reject that condemnation. When the devil sends people to condemn you, don't receive that as they're an emissary from the Lord. God has not sent them cause there's no condemnation of those that are in Christ Jesus. Right? Right. So you reject that as in your fight against principalities and powers and sometimes the devil sends people. For behold, I am I am for you and I will turn unto you and ye shall be tilled and sown. So God's gonna break up the fallow ground of your heart, the hardness of your heart. I'm gonna turn unto you. It's really difficult to reach people who have hardened their heart against the Lord. You stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart, you know, that Stephen would say to them or Jeremiah would say to God's people. Right? What's it mean to be stiff necked? Won't you're stubborn. You won't bow bow your heart. And when you look at the parable the seed in the soil, the the sower went out to sow and he threw this he's casting the gospel out and the gospel is to fall upon a person's heart. Right? Mhmm. The wayside soil is hard. It's impenetrable. It won't it won't penetrate. It's like hitting it's like hitting the sidewalk. And a friend of mine down in California that used to live in Bremerton, he he grew up here and he was astounded when he found out that I was up here trying to plant a church in Bremerton years ago, and he used to always say to me, Rick, do you understand you're plowing concrete? You're plowing concrete, Rick. You're plowing concrete. And I really didn't know what he's talking about back then, but but I think he's right. I think it's it's a hard hard ground here. People have made up their minds in a lot of ways, and I question whether they even have a mind. And and so there's the breaking up the fallow ground. What's that mean? What are you farmers? Like like like, there's we got a farmer in the house. What's it mean to break up the fallow ground? I don't know. It is dry and and hard. What's what what's what's plowing? What's the plowing? So the soil is so hard, it can't receive the seed. So you've gotta take and plow that soil. You gotta break it up. Right? So your little gardens at home, if you break it up, you've still got these balls, these clods. Right? Yeah. So you gotta break it up with the hoe or whatever, and then you gotta pickaxe it, and then you gotta squeeze it and break it and bring in manure and bring in everything else, and and you gotta prepare the soil. So one man sows, another waters, and God brings the increase. When we pray for people, we pray, Lord, prepare their heart. Right? Lord, prepare their heart. And we always pray this, Lord, soften their heart. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Soften their That's breaking up the fallow ground. Lord, would you break up the fallow ground? So we're asking the Lord to break them. We're asking the Lord to break them. Lord, you love them enough to break them. Bring them to the end of themselves, Lord. Bring them to the place where they'll finally look up, where they'll finally, you know, look to you once again. And that's a that's a hard prayer, Yep. For your loved one, your prodigal, people that you love. On the one hand, you want them to prosper. On the other hand, if they continue to prosper too much, they harden their heart against God. Right? They become more and more self reliant, sufficient, they don't need God. And and so he said, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna break up your fallow ground. I'm gonna put you in situations that you can't fix, that you can't wiggle out of. I'm gonna wrestle Jacob. I'm gonna cripple him. I'm gonna make him walk away, you know, cripple. I don't I don't wanna be a cripple. I wanna I wanna enjoy the the body, the time, the ministry, the purpose that God has for me. I don't want the Lord to have to keep breaking me, you know. I wanna yield to the Holy Spirit. He says, and I will multiply men upon you and all the house of Israel even all of it and the city shall be inhabited and the way shall be built. And so after seventy years, he says, I'm gonna there's gonna be a resettlement here. And even right before 05/14/1948, even after that, the Lord began to send people from Russia. All that antisemitism, all that hatred that people had toward the Jews, how is it that Russia would ever let the Jews that they had return, you know, to Israel? How is it from all over the world Jews would have, you know, like the swallows of, you know, San Juan Capistrano that come back each year. How would they have a homing instinct to wanna go back to Israel from all over the globe? Ethiopians, they airlifted Ethiopian Jews out of Ethiopia back to the nation of Israel did. And and they welcome they welcome Jews from all over the world to return to the homeland. And that's that's pretty exciting. The resettlement that continues to this day setting the stage for that final seventieth seven that the nation of Israel owes to God. There's one seven year period that the nation owes. There's 69 sevens that happened. Four hundred and eighty three years from the command to go and restore and rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of Messiah the prince. And a hundred and seventy three, eight hundred and eighty four days later from the command of March fourteenth four forty five BC in Nehemiah chapter two, Artaxerxes gave the command to go and restore and rebuild Jerusalem. And on on let's see. April six thirty two AD, Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a donkey according to Zechariah, the foal of a donkey, and the people are shouting out what? Hosanna. Palm Sunday. Right? Yeah. Save now. Save now. Save now. And in Luke chapter 19, Jesus said, on this thy very day, if you'd have known your visitation. It was to the exact day to the exact day Jesus rode into the city. That was the sixty ninth seven. And four hundred and eighty three years, he they owe him one seven year period. Messiah would be cut off according to Daniel nine twenty five through 27. Jesus was crucified four days later and cut off from the from the nation. They rejected their messiah. And so now when they are regathered, which they are, they're regathered in unbelief for the most part now, There's going to be a signing of a peace treaty with the nation of Israel. The man of sin, the lawless one, the son of perdition, the antichrist in place of Jesus Christ will sign a peace treaty And in in first Thessalonians chapter five, they're gonna be looking for peace and security of the whole world. The stage is being set with wars and rumors of wars of uncertainty economically, militarily, famines and pestilences, and all these resets and all these different things, the chaos that ensues, and this man appears, the savior, this in John five, Jesus said, I come in my father's name and you receive me not. Another shall come in his own name and him you will receive nation of Israel. And so they're gonna be deceived. They're gonna sign a covenant with this antichrist, a seven year covenant. And Jesus said at the midpoint of that covenant, twelve hundred and sixty days from the signing of that peace treaty, that he's gonna go into the temple that is rebuilt and the priests are restarting Judaism. He's gonna go into that temple. It's going to be the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. And this man who is a man, he's the seed of the serpent, and he's going to declare himself to be god, demand the whole world to worship him as god, and to show their allegiance to him to take a mark on their right hand to their forehead and no man can buy or sell without it. And and the nation of Israel, their eyes are open. They're open that, uh-oh, we've been deceived. And then the anger of the devil as he's cast out of heaven, cast down to the earth and he knows that his time is short. In Revelation 12, he goes after the woman and the woman is the nation of Israel and he wants to destroy the nation of Israel, and the Antichrist wants to take the armies that he is amassing as these 10 kings. Three of them lose, he becomes the eighth, and as they give their sovereignty over to him, they want to stop Jesus from returning. So the nation of Israel, this two thirds are wiped out according to Zechariah thirteen eight and nine, are destroyed but a one third remnant is preserved and they flee Israel and they are running toward Moab. They're running to the wilderness, to Mount Seir, to Boaz, to Basra, excuse me, not Boaz, he married Ruth, but Basra or Petra. And and so the Antichrist chases them, is chasing them after them, and that's the war of Armageddon. That's where the blood's gonna be as high as the horse's bridle. That's where Jesus returns to save that elect except those days be short and all flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, Jesus during the tribulation period, he's going to return twelve hundred sixty days after that midpoint, and the saints, the church with 10 thousands and thousands of a saint in the book of Jude is the bride of Christ can return with him, and he's gonna destroy the Antichrist and the false prophet. They're gonna lie on the ground and and he's going to rescue the nation of Israel as they come to a place of repentance, as they come to a place where they say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. And when they confess that they've sinned, then they experience their conversion. We're gonna see that next week in chapter 37. Maybe even today we're gonna see a little bit of it in Jeremiah 31. And and then there there's a change internally inside of the nation of Israel. Externally, they're in the land, but they're regathered in unbelief. It's like going to church not being born again. Internally, the God's gonna change their heart just as God changed your heart and my heart when we became born again. And so isn't prophecy exciting? It's so exciting. I'm getting excited talking about this. And it all starts with breaking up fallow ground. And I'll multiply men upon you and all the house of Israel, even all of it, and the city shall be inhabited, and the way shall be built. So resettlements, the kibbutzas, all of the growth, all of the people resettling. And I will, and notice the I wills, the I wills, the I wills, the I wills, not Satan's five I wills in Isaiah 14, but God's I wills, right? And I will multiply upon you a man and beast and they shall increase and bring fruit and I will settle you according to your old estate and will do better unto you than at your beginning and ye shall know that I am the Lord. And when I read the book of Job, I always like Job two point o, you know. I always like when he gets new daughters and gets twice as much and his wife's still there with them and and I'm gonna give you more at the end than I did at the beginning, you know, and and it's always exciting to see God wanting to take Job and bless him twice as much. Right? Ain't that great? Yeah. It's it's so exciting. So I will settle you according to your old estate and will do better unto you than at your beginning and ye shall know that I am the lord. So you can't out give god. Some of us have to wait. We have to wait and wait and wait for God's reward and God is not unrighteous to forget all that you've done for him, all that you've given unto him, and your inheritance and your reward, all of it is awaiting you. Jesus said, store not up for yourselves treasure upon earth where moth and rust can corrupt, where thieves can break through and steal, but store up for yourselves treasure in heaven where the moth and the rust cannot corrupt, where the thieves cannot break through and steal. And so you've taken your portfolio and you've sent it on ahead. You know? It's awaiting you. And and so it's much better to invest in the kingdom of God than to try to develop your own kingdom. The Warren Buffets of the world, the Bill Gates of the world, all the Rockefellers, all the all the wealthy people of the world, once they die, it's all left behind. Everything's left behind. Everything they work for is left behind. And so what would a profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul or what would a man give in exchange for his life? Jesus said. We're described as plutocrats. We're described as our riches, the riches that are ours in Christ Jesus. Plutos' riches. And so I love I love knowing that I'm a joint heir with Jesus and all that he has purchased, all that he's made as he's destroyed the devil, as he's destroyed all of the devices of the devil, the usurper to try and take control of this earth and everything that's upon the earth and even the souls of men, the Lord Jesus has redeemed and delivered us and removed the shackles, the consequences of our sins and the bondage that we were in. And if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things are passed away, all things are become new. And I'll multiply upon you man and beast and they shall increase and bring fruit and I will settle you according to your old estate and will do better unto you than at your beginning and ye shall know that I am the Lord. Yeah, I will cause men to walk upon you and even my people Israel and they shall possess thee and thou shall be their inheritance and thou shall no more henceforth bereave them of men. Thus saith the Lord God because they say unto you, thou land devours us up and has bereaved the nations. And so God's gonna remove the reproach. He's gonna remove the reproach of the hard times that you've gone through and the way that people have treated you and and all. And and remember that the 10 spies came back saying they'll they'll devour us. They got walled cities and giants and all that there and it was a false report. God was wanting to give to the nation of Israel, the land of Canaan, and poor Moses had to wait and Joshua and Caleb another forty years till the unbelieving generation dropped dead before they could enter in and it went not well with Moses because the people were so disobedient and he smote the rock a second time and ruined the type and we see him that he's up on Mount Nebo and he can't cross, but we see him on the Mount Of Transfiguration in Matthew 17. So Moses got it pretty good, but Caleb and Joshua Caleb, I love that guy. He says, yeah, I'm 80 and five years old. I'm as strong today as I was when I was 40, you know, let's go take out the giants there, you know, in Hebron. Let's let's take the mountain. God promised. And I just love people like that. They never ever ever give up, and they have such tremendous faith. If I had a son, I'd call him Caleb. Therefore, thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nation no more, saith the Lord God. Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the nations anymore, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people anymore, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall anymore saith the Lord God. And so no more reproach. God's gonna remove the reproach. All the things that the hatred, the reasons of hatred, the way that people hated you as a Jew, god's gonna remove all that. And I love the way the Lord removes the reproach from our life. All the the sin and the stench of sin and the stain of sin and all the things that transpired. He can present us as a chaste virgin under Christ no matter how how sullied or how dirty we wound up by in rebellion under him. Shalt thou cause thy nations to fall anymore, saith the Lord God. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me saying, son of man, when the house of Israel, the people, dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way. We talked on Sunday about defiling the temple, the filthiness of defilement, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. They defiled his land. They brought in abominable things and abominable practices and that of idolatry and Jeremiah was sent and Isaiah was sent and the prophets were sent calling the nation under repentance. God said come now and reason together though your sins be as scarlet, they'll be white as snow, though they'll be red like crimson, they'll be as wool. And the people thought that they could go through the motions and continue to go to the temple and go to the temple without meaning, without purpose, without relationship, and they would they would do both. They would do idolatry and then they go through the motions, mechanical motions of Judaism. And God says your your offerings, your self righteousness is as filthy rags unto me and it's a stench, the corruption and all. And so the problem was they did it their way. They didn't listen to God. Now if somebody comes at us at the church and they get off track let's say they get off track in heretical doctrine, The problem is not so much the heretical doctrine. That's not the problem. We can fix that. We can show them in the scriptures where they air. We can say, hey, that that doesn't add up. Science doesn't say that. The Bible doesn't say that. There's nowhere you can prove what you're doing. Why are you doing this? What happened? Why'd you fall off, you know, the rails? And the problem is not the heretical doctrine in the beginning, the problem is the rebellion of the heart, the refusal to be corrected. So what happens here to the nation of Israel, God sends the prophets to correct them, to bring the truth, but they're saying no, I'm gonna do it my way. And that's where you have a problem is the stubbornness of the heart, the unwillingness to repent, the unwillingness to take correction, to be teachable and in the listening of the false prophets. So we look at words like hypnotized or seduced or under a spell and we look at it and we say, you know, there's a demonic component to this. It doesn't add up. It doesn't make sense. Why are they why are they going this way? Well, Paul said that that was the Gentiles offer in their idolatry. They're actually offering these things unto demons. So there there's demons behind the false doctrine and the acting out of their false beliefs, and that's the tragedy. It's in the spiritual realm. There's a deception that's taking place that and it's very seductive. It's enticing them and appeals to the pride of life, appeals to the make them wise. They think they're wiser than everybody else. Alright. So that's the problem here and their own way and by their doings, their way was before me and the uncleanness of a of a defiled woman. What's that mean? The uncleanness of a defiled woman. A woman that was going through her menstrual cycle would be unclean and would need to be separated for a period of time. So he's talking here of your ways before me as the uncleanness of a defiled woman. So the corruption, the stink, the stench, the and then you bring that to me, and your righteousness is is a filthy rag. Do you know what that means? You're bringing forth your works as righteousness and God says, you're like the stench of a minstrel cloth. That's on your best day, the best day you've ever had, when you try to bring that before God as a bargaining chip, He says, on your best day, your righteousness is a stinky minstrel cloth to me. Right? That's why it took the blood of Jesus to wash away our sins. Right? Praise the Lord. Is that graphic enough? God getting it through? Do we need to get the smell, you know? No. Alright. Alright. So wherefore I poured out my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land and for their idol idols by which they had polluted it. So what's that mean? What were they doing? What were their practices that we've talked about over and over again? What is abortion? What is abortion? Murder. It's it's filling the land with blood. Butchering babies. The blood has to go somewhere. So when they worship Baal and Astrath and they get involved in idolatry, these idolatrous practices is pornographic images that excite people with with sexual passions as a part of their worship system. And and in that engagement of men with men, women with women, men with women and all, they produce pregnant pregnancies. And in those pregnancies, there's what's called unwanted children. And those unwanted children are then used in the Valley Of Hinnom, Gehenna, perpetual burning, and they would take Baal and they would heat Baal up with a fire and his outstretched arms like this, metal arms, would get white hot, red hot, and then they take these babies and a a live baby and lay it on those arms. And then the people you ever heard the occult people chant when they chant to make all that noise? Ah, you know. They're trying to they're trying to chant louder than the baby screams, and the blood has defiled the land. So kings like Josiah come along and try to remove all of the idolatrous shrines and the sodomites and all the that which defiles. It'd be like somebody taking a city and removing all of the brothels and the sexual sex trafficking and trading, trying to clean an area up and then not allow that in their city, you know. With with in various districts, you take it with zoning, and you don't allow that zoning. So you wouldn't wanna put a, you know, a I don't know. Whatever you call it. Near a school, near a church, near where families are. You don't wanna put that that vile stuff. So cities will take in their zoning. They'll say, well, we'll allow this such and such type of business over here in this area, and then you watch that particular area of the city. A lot of drugs, trafficking, child trafficking, prostitution, and and then you've got to put a Planned Parenthood nearby too because all of these young people and all these people with their their pills that they take so they don't get pregnant, they wind up getting pregnant anyway, they become more and more promiscuous, and they're young mothers and young fathers, and you begin to pollute the land with thirty, fifty, 70,000,000, a whole generation of children destroyed. And not only that, in our culture, then you make a business out of it. Then you begin to sell organs. You begin to make makeup and eye shadow. You put the babies into Coca Cola and the foods and different types of things that you eat contain parts of these aborted babies and there's a whole industry tied to it. And the Lord, he's the greatest accountant ever. There's nothing that escapes him. He sees all of this practice, he sees it all happening, and it defiles the land, defiles the place. And when the blood is high as the horse's bridle at Armageddon, when Cain slew Abel and the blood was crying out from the ground, the blood is crying out unto God for God to judge and to cleanse. And the cleansing comes with comes with blood, the blood of Jesus. And man that sheds blood, his blood's gonna be shed. Right? And so blood that they had shed upon the land and for their idol by their that they had polluted it, And I scattered them among the nations and so the nation of Israel was involved in the same idolatrous practices. The nation of Israel was even worse than the nations around them in their idolatry, you can imagine that. It's insane. Just absolutely insane that we can degrade to that degree. So they had shed upon the land and for their idols which they had polluted it and I scattered them. The Lord said I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed through the countries according to their way and according to their doings. I judged them. So it'd be better to do things God's way. Do it God's way. And when they entered under the nations into which they went, they profaned my holy name. So here's the deal. If you're gonna live like an unbeliever, don't tell people you're a Christian. Amen. I've always told people if if you go away from Calvary Bremerton and you ever get into trouble, tell them you go to Calvary Silverdale. Don't tell them you go to Calvary Bremerton. Okay? So you you just you don't tell people you're a Christian if you're living like a worldling. Why? Because you're profaning God's name. To be a Christian means it's a badge of honor. You're you're living for Jesus. And so we we go out there into the world and the world knows the difference. The world's saying, hey. You're not like you're not like my grandma. My my grandma was a real Christian. I know what a real Christian looks like, and and you're not one, you know? And so better to keep your mouth shut. Now when you're ready to come back, come back in repentance. And I I like the idea of if I'm gonna if I'm gonna be a worldly person, then I want to go at it with everything I've got. I want to put my whole heart into it because there's nothing worse than somebody on the fence. Doesn't inspire anybody. So what's your every do? Do it with all your heart. So go into the world with everything you got and get it out of your system. Right? And then when you're done, when you're sick and tired of the world, then come to Jesus. Turn from your sin and give the same effort, the same effort that you gave to the world to be the biggest party or healer, whatever it was, whatever your thing was, making money, put that same great effort into being a Christian. Amen. Don't defame his name by I can't go to church today, and I can't read today, and I all these excuses. All these excuses. Living like the world. You know? And it's it's just sad. It's just sad the way that we make so many excuses. And then I see that pregnant woman. She ain't making any excuses. She's doing squats, man. And I'm inspired. I'm like, woah. Look at that. And she's not sitting there saying, well, you know, I can't go to the gym today because I'm pregnant, ready to have a baby. You know? She's just cranking it out, and I'm just like, man. Look at the effort in that woman. You know? She could conquer the world, that woman. So you're not gonna inspire anybody with excuses. And, god, if we just put our whole heart into serving Jesus. Just breaks my heart. Breaks my heart to see the way we are this Laodicean church of today, insipid, not excited. I mean, he saved us. What did he save you out of? Has it worn off your your oh, I'm I'm in the world now. Now my life's blessed. I I got what I wanted, you know. And and, you know, I kinda I got an inkling toward the world. I'd like to incorporate the world and Christianize the world. And and and he's saying they're going in these foreign lands and they're living like heathens and then they tell people that they're Jews. God's saying, keep your mouth shut. Don't don't tell them you're one of mine, you know. Embarrass me. You're defaming my name. So when they entered into the nations into which they went, they profaned my holy name. When they said to them, these are the people of the Lord. Oh my gosh. These are the people of the Lord. No. They should say, we're children of the corn, you know. Right? And are gone forth out of the land. So, you know, people profess that they're born again. I'm a born againer. And you're at work and people are trying new job and people are trying to get to know you and see who you are. Hey. I'm a born I'm Christian. I'm born againer. I go to church every Sunday. Go to this church. I go oh, I go to that church. But now, they'd have never known you're a Christian unless you told them. They can't tell by your life. And then you're doing the same things that they're doing, the bars, the all all of it. Fuck if you love Jesus. Yeah. And so that's the that's the thought that I have is, you know, I was in the world. I was having fun in the world. I wasn't looking for Jesus, and he saved me. Thank you for yourself. And when he saved me, I was so grateful, thankful, appreciative, and it it's like it's like sometimes you see these shows with these animals, sometimes fish, sometimes whales, and they're caught in a net. Maybe a whale's caught in a net and another porpoise or a whale comes to your boat and you're a diver and you dive down, you cut the net away from them and all that, then they come up to the side of the boat. They're so thankful. You know, it's like it's almost like they're trying to communicate, you know, and animals, things like that. And we as humans, you know, are we that way? We come back with worship. You know, Jesus said, where are the other nine? Weren't there not 10? Weren't there 10 lepers? And only one came back, you know, to thank me. Right? Now, where are the other nine? They got their healing. They don't have leprosy anymore. But this one guy came back and he worshiped the Lord. And Jesus said, this man went away whole. He not only went away healed, but he went away whole and that he was saved. He expressed his faith in worship. So so I I had pity for mine holy name which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they went. So David and Bathsheba, Nathan the prophet came back and said you've given great occasion to the enemies of Lord to blaspheme his name. And I understand that France is really fed up with America, and they don't like us right now. They they're they're just fed up. They don't think that we're any good anymore, and they want the Statue Of Liberty back, you know. So I I I don't know. I what should we do? I mean, we're not we're not their friend anymore. They don't like us anymore. We've profaned. We've we've dropped down or something. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God, I do not this for your sakes, oh house of Israel. So it's not for you, it's for my own sake. You've defamed my name and for my name's sake, I'm gonna fulfill the promise that I gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I told Abraham, in your seed all nations of the earth would be blessed and that the nation of Israel is to be a light unto the Gentiles. You failed in your role and your purpose but for my name's sake because I'm gonna swear by myself. I'm gonna swear no higher than I can't swear any higher, I can't depend upon you, so I'm gonna swear by my name. And if anybody can stop the cycle of night and day, stop the sun from coming up tomorrow and everything remain dark, you know, then they could break the covenant that I've made with you, this unconditional covenant. But since nobody can do that, then I'm gonna swear by my own name because my reputation is is, you know, on the fence here. It's on it's it's at hand. All the people are looking at me, all of the angels, all the demons, everybody's looking at me like, how are you possibly gonna fulfill these promises that you've given to the nation of Israel when they're so unfaithful? Is your salvation dependent upon you fulfilling it? Ain't that a blessing? Amen. That he's gonna complete that work that he's begun in you? Yep. If it was left up to me to finish it alright, God. You get a start and I'll finish it. Yeah. You fail every day, don't you? Not fail every day. Every day I fail. And the Lord is there to just be so you know, I I'm so proud of my grandkids, so proud of my family, and you look at your heavenly father and he, you know, he just he just he has that belly laugh, you know, he's that belly laugh. He's just so in love with us, you know. And and I'll sanctify my great names. My great name my great name. And in Psalm thirty eight two, Psalm a hundred and thirty eight two, God magnifies his word above his name. Now that I love that because I love God's word and I love teaching God's word. I'd hate to be a pastor that doesn't read God's word, love God's word, and teach God's word. I mean, you got Genesis to Revelation and you don't have time to teach through the Bible. You don't wanna teach through his word. And you want your name out there and you want your gig and your brand and you're you're building your own thing. And he says, I magnify my I magnify my word above my name. So when you think in terms of the Masoretic text, the Old Testament being written and the scribes that would come there, they they so revered the name of Yahweh, Jehovah, that they kept the vows out of it, didn't they? So y h v h. That's all they would write because God's name was so holy, they didn't even wanna write down his name. Right. And so that's how sacred his name is. And then God says, I magnified my word and Jesus is the incarnate word. Right? Jesus is the word. He in the beginning was the word. The word was with God. The word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Right? And we beheld his glory as the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth. Right? And so I magnify my word above my name name in Psalm 138 verse two. And so the scribe, they would they would take on the scroll and as they would copy a letter, a book, book of Isaiah, let's say, if they made any mistake at all, they would start over. They didn't just take white out and say, oh, didn't matter, white out, you know, write it back in there. They they start right over. And and so that's the the great respect they have for the word of God, you know. And God's saying here, you've you've ruined my name. My name among the nations. And I put so when you tell people you're a Christian, how do they take that? When yeah. When you're when I'm out there in the world at the gym or somewhere I go and you meet some new people and, you know, they say, hey. What do you do? And I say, oh, I'm a pastor. And they just kinda dropped their head, like, they've never met a pastor they respect. Pastors are fools. They're like clowns out there. It's embarrassing to be a pastor today. They're just like wimps, skinny jeans, white tennis shoes, just prancing around, acting like all effeminate and liars, money grubbers Cheaters. Cheaters. I mean, it's embarrassing. When I hear the guys teach or try to teach, it just so now I just tell people, well, I'm retired. I'm retired. I'm I'm in real estate. I lost it all but I'm in real estate. You are. Exactly. But I love serving the Lord and I love being a Christian. But there's a whole lot going on that sometimes it's very embarrassing to have to answer that question. And so for the most part, I just keep my mouth shut and I do like that pregnant woman did. I go over there as a 65 year old man, and I lift as much weight as I can, or get on the treadmill, or something that shows some sort of effort that I'm not a poser. Do you see what I'm saying? A whole lot of people we that we rub elbows with, they're wondering, can you cut it? Or you're just gonna talk me to death? There's one girl at the gym, she says sometimes somebody will come up to you and they'll interrupt you and all they wanna do is talk. Well, that's that's forbidden in the gym. You know, it wastes people's time. So she'll sometimes I got this guy that's that's they call him my shadow. He comes over and he's lonely and he wants to talk to me. Being a pastor, I gotta take time to talk to him, so I talk to everybody. And once they find out you're a pastor, they got stuff they wanna talk about. And so I never wear any Jesus shirts or anything like that. We How love Jesus? And so anyway, as they try to do that, she makes fun of me. This other girl makes fun of me, she says, wow, you're really building up your jaw muscles, aren't you? You know? That's a mocking. That's a mocking. You're there to lift or what? You're not here to talk. So people people in the world, they they they know who the doers are, they know who the talkers are, the ones that make excuses, and we should be able to back up. We should walk the walk. If we're gonna talk the talk, we should be able to back it up with the walk. And every now and then, there's somebody that respects you. When they have marital problems and they know you're a pastor, they'll come over and they wanna talk. If when they have problems disciplining their kids in a blended marriage and they're trying to discipline and bring order to the home, they they come over and wanna talk to you, but they're not gonna come talk to you unless they think you're legit, you know? That's right. And so you're gonna have to gain their respect somehow, some way, and the best way I know is to keep your mouth shut and work. Work. Just work. Whatever you do, just work. Be the best worker there. Keep your mouth shut and work. Don't take time on the boss's dime to be preaching the gospel at work unless it's at your break or at lunch or whatever it is. You be the best worker there and God's name will be revered. They'll say, you know, those Christians are the best workers I've ever had. They get the job done. They don't make excuses. They don't quit. They don't use up their sick time. They've got all this sick leave available, but they're the ones that are always here. I've never found the Christian hiding away in the bathroom for eight hours to get out of work. Right? That better not be you. If it is, change your name. Tell him you go to where? Calvary's over there. Alright. There you go. Alright. Yep. That's what the Lord's saying. Keep it quiet. Don't tell me you're a Christian if you're acting like that. Do you roll coal on their Priuses when you wear out of the gym though? I don't I don't care if they drive the Prius. That's okay. They get a lot of big big vehicles. So I gotta be nice. So thus saith the lord, do not this for your sakes, oh house of Israel, but for mine name's sake when you profane among the nations to which you went. And I'll sanctify my great name that was profaned among the nations which you have profaned in the midst of them and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified. We had this word on Sunday. Right? What's the word sanctified mean? So you're defamed, you're defiled, you're filthy, wretched, miserable, and now he says, I'm gonna sanctify you. I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. The word sanctified means set apart, made holy. When I'm set apart from the world and there's the work of my spirit inside of you where you desire a life of holiness, they're gonna stand back and say, man, I knew that guy when he was a drug addict. I knew him when he was a drunk. I knew him when he was this, that. Look at him now. He's married, he's got a family, he's taking care of him, he's paying his bills, he's not lying anymore, he's not cheating and stealing. What happened? He's a different person. And many in your family will say, I liked you better when you're a drunk addict. Why do they do that? Right. Right. Because they miss the old you. Because they're convicted. That's right. When they were around you before, it elevated them. They thought they were pretty good stuff. But now that you love Jesus, now they're feeling that light. That light's exposing the darkness of their life. Jesus freak. You're a Jesus freak and we're tired of hearing about your Jesus. Right? Mhmm. All you wanna talk about is your Jesus. And and many people they've been told, yeah, I like you better when you were a drunk, you know. You're no fun now. You don't go drinking with me. Your drinking friends wanna pull you down. They wanna they want you to drink. Now, when we talk about don't be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, one way to illustrate that is a lot of times we try to go hang out with these guys and think that we're gonna save them. We're gonna we're gonna save them. Right. And so a picture of that is you're standing on a chair. You got a higher level of life that you're wanting to live and now you're gonna go around your old friends, people, work, whatever, and they're down below on the ground living close to the ground. Which is easier to do? You to lift them up to that chair where you're at or for them to grab hold of your arm and pull you down to the ground? If they get one beer in you, it's all over. Mhmm. Right. You're going down. Can can you get them up on that chair and keep them from drinking a beer and read Psalm 23 together in that bar right there? It can happen. Right? Only one. That's right. So better to stay away till they're ready till they're ready to hear the truth. It's it's it's such a waste of time to share the gospel with drunks. When they're drunk and they're crying and all that, wait till they get sober. I mean, God can. Yes. But I'm just saying that, you know, the phone will ring and they'll call you and I'll to say, are you drunk? And there's all this sentimentality and hey. Why why don't you get sober? Let's let's let's get you sober then we'll talk. And that's just the alcohol talking right now. So it it's it's frustrating. Shall be sanctified in you. We want to be sanctified within before their eyes. You must be born again. So holiness, a changed heart, when they see sanctification on the inside, Jesus said except your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and pharisees, you'll no wise enter the kingdom of God. The pharisees were outward. Jesus was emphasizing inward, inward a change of heart. And the outward righteousness of the Pharisees was such that the disciples said, who then can be saved, you know. And and so Jesus is pointing out, if you've looked upon a woman with lust in your heart, you've already committed adultery. The law convicts the heart. If you're angry with your brother, you're already a murderer. So everything with the Pharisees was external. Jesus said, you're like whitewashed tombs. The outside looks all nice. It's all whitewashed. But inward, you're full of dead men's bones. You're filled with corruption within. And and that's the outward religious attitude. He says in verse 24, for I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of countries and will bring you into your own land. And that's what the Lord did in 05/14/1948. That's a miracle, unprecedented history that God brought the Jews from all over the world back into their land. The nation was reborn on 05/14/1948, reborn in unbelief. Eventually, there's gonna be the faith there. You and I have been grafted into the true branch, the true tree, the true vine, and but God's gonna cause the the nation of Israel to bear fruit again one day. Amen. So then will I sprinkle clean water upon you and you shall be clean from all your filthiness and from your idols will I cleanse you. I love I love reading God's word. In Ephesians five it says, husbands, you know, as you read as you love your wife like Christ loved the church and wash her with the washing of the word, a smart man will bring his wife to church to hear God's word. A smart man, a smart husband will bring his wife and read with her at home and have the bible plan and allow the word of God to cleanse her, wash her from the filth that the world is trying to get to stick in her mind and heart. Amen. The television, the phone, the various influences can can be defiling, can defy your children. And one way to combat it is to come to bible study. Listen to a bible study. We can't we can't stop all the filth from from hitting us. When we go to work, we can't force people to talk the way we want them to talk. We hear a lot of filthy stuff and stories and, yeah, we walk away from it, we try not to be a part of it, but man, it's everywhere. You're driving down the road and there's billboards, you know, filthy stuff and shows and programs and programming and and all of it. And Jesus illustrated it in John 13. You're walking along the road and your feet get filthy. And you've already been saved. You're saved. But now you feel dirty. You feel dirty. And so you come into the house and and there's Jesus, and he takes his outer garment, puts it up in his belt, and he gets a basin of water, and he comes over and washes his disciples' feet. And that was the job of the lowliest slave in the house, and none of them wanted to do that job. They were fighting over who was gonna be the greatest, who's gonna sit on the left hand of Jesus, and who's gonna sit on the right hand of Jesus. And even James and John's mom Salome got in on it. She came to Jesus said, hey, When you're in your kingdom, I'm a good Jewish mama, and I want my son on the one hand and my other son on your left hand. And Jesus said, you guys don't even know what you're asking of me. Can you drink of the cup that I'm gonna drink? What do you think that cup was? Respect that. The cup of God's wrath coming down on me. Right? Are you are you guys really sure you want a part of that? It comes by way of the cross. And they're like, oh, yeah. They don't have a clue. Right? And so Jesus goes over there and washes his disciples' feet. Peter, he's always the one that's like, not just my feet, my whole body, you know, give me a bath. Give give me a sponge bath. And Jesus said, no. He that is washed, he does a play on words nipto and luo, he that is washed, you've already saved Peter. You've already been washed in the blood. You've already been cleansed of all your sins. This this has to do with fellowship. You're simply defiled. So if we confess our sin, first John one nine, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us of all righteousness. Now that defilement is washed away. But the defilements also washed away with the washing of water of the word. His word, the the water will come down and wash you, cleanse you. And I love to be washed by God's word. I love for God's word to to remove the filthiness, to remove the bad attitudes, to remove the selfishness, to remove the things that impede fellowship with him. So often I go away and I think, man, what an idiot I am. What an idiot. Why was I thinking like that? Why was I acting like that? Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you. Is your house filthy? Is your mind filthy? Is your marriage filthy? Is your church filthy? Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you and you shall be clean from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you. Man, living water. You think of think of Mary Magdalene, how filthy she felt with seven demons living within her. You think of the woman at Simon the Pharisee's house where she broke the alabaster box and put it upon Jesus and washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair and and and, you know, she's she's so thankful that Jesus loves her and that Jesus, you know, changed her from within. And Simon the pharisee, he's all self righteous and he wouldn't wash Jesus' feet and he wouldn't anoint his head with oil and he wouldn't dry or do any of that. And Jesus said, hey, Simon, you know, those that are forgiven much love much. Look at how she's loving on me. Look at how she's ministering on me. And the woman at the well, she had an emptiness within her heart in John four, the Samaritan woman that she couldn't fill and Jesus had water, he had living water that she'd never thirst again. Amen. The filthiness, the drugs, the alcohol, the pornography, the illicit things of the world, the idolatrous things of the world, they don't fill. They just make us feel worthless, more worthless. It's hollowing you out, hollowing your soul. Your soul is hollowed out, and Jesus wants to fill that void and that emptiness with love, with himself, with a cleansing. He wants to take a woman, a man that has lived a life of filthiness, and when they come to Christ, they become the bride of Christ. The picture is a view of a clean white wedding gown. The picture is Revelation 19, unspotted, unblemished wedding gown, washed in the blood of the lamb, all that filth washed away. And he's so he's not embarrassed of you, he's so proud of you. He wants to bring you to the marriage supper of the lamb as his bride, his virgin unspotted unblemished bride. A new heart also will I give you, a new spirit will I put within you and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh. And so you're so hard hearted, so stony, I'm gonna change it from within, I'm gonna fill your heart with love and you're gonna be in love with me, madly in love with me. And this is the new covenant. This is the change where Israel wouldn't change from the outside, but God says in Jeremiah 31, I'm gonna change you, and it's an unconditional covenant. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna change it from within. In Joel two twenty eight through 32, God's gonna pour out his spirit. He's gonna rain out his spirit upon that remnant in the in the tribulation period. His spirit's gonna be poured out upon them. They're gonna be spirit filled, a new covenant. And I'll put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes. Isn't that great when the holy spirit's leading, guiding us and helping us to live the Christian life? Yes. And you shall keep my ordinances and do them. So, you're gonna have a desire of love to a love of pleasing God and a life of obedience. And you shall dwell in the land and I gave to your fathers and you shall be my people and I will be your God. As a father, when my daughters, my grandkids, when my family, when they're walking in harmony with Jesus, blesses my heart. It just blesses my heart. When one of our kids goes astray, it breaks our heart. And I've never really cared what other people think in regard to my girls. If I have one that's a prodigal and she's doing things that are wrong and people are whispering and they're gossiping and slandering my Jessica, I don't care. I don't care one bit what they say. I still love her. I still pray for her. I'm not embarrassed by her, not by anything she's ever done, because I know that work that God's begun in her, he's gonna complete it. He's gonna finish that work. I'll also save you from all your uncleanness and I will call for the grain and will increase it and lay no famine upon you so God's gonna make you prosperous, he can bring an abundance into your life. The greatest abundance is the internal abundance, the life of the spirit. You can have all the external material things and be so miserable and empty. And I'll multiply the fruit of the tree and increase the field. And that's what God's done with the nation of Israel. He's just caused it to blossom and bud and be prolific with with food. They shall receive no more reproach, of famine among the nations. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways and your doings that were not good and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abomination. And so, blessed are they that mourn, Jesus said in Matthew five verse four, gonna mourn about your your sinfulness. You come into that place of repentance. You're confessing your sin, you're sorry, there's a godly sorrow that's leading to repentance. Judas went out and hung himself. He went out and threw the 30 pieces of silver at the feet of the religious leaders, but he didn't have a godly sorrow that led to repentance. His was a worldly sorrow, his plans didn't work. So he says, I'm out of here, I quit, I'm gonna go kill myself, Go hang myself. Jesus gave him a chance to repent, friend, betrayest out the son of man with a kiss, and so we wanna come with a godly repentance, the kindness of God that leads us to repentance. Turning from our sin is a way that we can honor God. Not for your sakes do I do this, the Lord says. He says, your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. He says, not for your your sakes do I do this, saith the Lord, be it known unto you, Be ashamed and confounded for your own for your own ways, oh house of Israel. And I see repentance as a gift from God. I see repentance as the Lord softening my heart and getting my heart soft enough and pliable enough and my and and giving me the fruit and the blessing of repentance. Because I see David trying to cover his sin for a year with Bathsheba, and I see that as a miserable way to live. If I read Psalm 32, Psalm 38, Psalm 51, David was dying from the inside. He was dying trying to cover that sin and dealing with that sin and the guilt of that sin. And as a as a king, he could cover it. He could do a cover up, but he was miserable, sleepless nights and physical infirmity and all of their sorts of consequences as a result of doing this this thing that dishonored God. And by the grace of God, God sent Nathan. Nathan, and shook that finger at David and said, David, you're the man. Not that man, the other man. You're the guilty one. And that was the moment that David confessed and turned and cried out to God. And that's when he set free from himself. He set free from the fallen nature of self, and he's yielded to God and God is able to wash and cleanse him and restore him, restore him to fellowship. Restore. Repentance is a gift, man. It's a gift if God has someone in your life that comes to you and tells you the truth about what you're doing, that loves you enough, faithful or the wounds of a friend, the kiss of an enemy or deceitful. It's a blessing to attend a church where the pastor teaches in such a way that the Holy Spirit can convict you and lead you to repentance Instead of lie to you and make you feel comfortable in your sin. Make you play the blame game and allow you to play the blame game and blame someone else for who you're becoming and who you are. It's exciting. It's a blessing to drive away like, alright, I don't need to keep that going. The Lord set me free from that. And he loves me, and he's merciful, and his mercies are new every morning. And as long as I depend upon him and honest before him, he's gonna keep working in my life. When you try to cover your sin, you stop growing right there. When you confess and turn and turn back to God, you start to grow again. The life starts to flow once again. He takes the years that the locusts have eaten and restores the years that the locusts and the cankerworm have eaten. God restores. He forgives and restores. Thus saith the Lord God, in the day that I shall have cleansed you, washed in the blood of the lamb from all your iniquities, I will also cause you to dwell in the cities and the water shall be built. And so I'm gonna bring you home. I'm gonna bring you guys home, and I'm gonna bring you home and I'm gonna wash and cleanse you in the blood of the lamb. And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of that passed by and so God's gonna take this desert and make it fruitful. He's gonna take the desert of your heart, the emptiness of your heart and cause your life to bring forth fruit. And they in that day, this land that was desolate has become like the Garden of Eden and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fortified and are inhabited. So the nation of Israel is gonna get stronger and stronger, more and more prosperous, more and more prolific and God's gonna do it. Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I am the Lord. And they're gonna see Leviathan, the huge amount of natural gas and oil that's there. They're gonna see the fruit production. They're gonna see Silicon Valley in Tel Aviv, all the tech giants and the the software engineers and drone makers and all the different technologies that Israel in medical field and all of their sorts of engineering fields, the manufacturing and development, research development, they're just so prolific in what they, you know, produce. And and God's saying, I've I've given you the brain to do that, and I've given you the ability to do that because what do you have with that which I've already given you? And and the nations around you are gonna be so jealous. I, the Lord, build the ruined places and the the plant that which was desolate and I, the Lord, have spoken it and I will do it. So God will do it, which speaks of God's grace being poured out. Thus saith the Lord God, I will I will I will I will I will I will all through this chapter. I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel to do it for them, I will increase them with men like a flock. So there's gonna be new settlements and new flocks of people, and notice the type of flock, what typifies the flock as a holy flock. Don't you wanna be a holy flock? Amen. You wanna be a holy man? A holy marriage? A holy church? That's not an oxymoron, that's the way it should be characterized. House of Israel doeth the thing a a holy flock is the flock of Jerusalem. And the book of Revelation talks about Jerusalem as a place that's described as Sodom. The wickedness of the Israeli people even in Jerusalem where our where our savior was crucified, you know. It's gonna take a cleansing from within. God's gonna have to change the hearts from within. As the holy flock is the flock of Jerusalem and her solemn feasts, so so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks and men, they shall know that I am the Lord. And so because of the growth, because of the blossoming and the growing and the beauty and the prolific flocks and the holiness of them, you know, even the cows in the millennium have a have a thing around their neck with a little placard that says holiness unto the Lord, you know? Isn't that amazing? Even the even the cows are gonna have little little things that identify holiness unto the Lord. Holy flock is the flock of Jerusalem in a solemn feast. So shall they waste it as be filled with flocks of men and they shall know that I am the Lord, the holy flock of God, the good shepherd, the chief shepherd, the great shepherd, the holy flock of God. May we may we live up to who God is making us. You know? Lord, help me live up to be the person you're making me. Help me, Lord. Right? I can't do it without you, Lord. Alright. Let's pray. Father, thank you for this night. Thank you for the sweet time we could spend your word and worship and have meals and prayer. And Lord, we do lift up the martyrs of Syria. We do lift up those who are perishing. We lift up those who remain, the Christians who are under attack. And Lord, we pray that you raise up the standard against the wickedness, that you prompt President Trump and that Yahoo and other world leaders to step in and preserve these precious precious Christians who are so vulnerable with the instability, how unstable Syria's become with Assad fleeing and ISIS and Al Qaeda and other groups doing a genocide on these Christians. God, we pray you raise up a standard against it and many would hear of your wondrous love. And just as you're doing in Iran, the fastest growing church in the world, cause Syria to explode in growth of Christians flourishing, people flourishing with the gospel. And Lord we pray for Israel. We pray that the blindness of Israel, that blindness in part has happened unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in. Lord we pray for the nation of Israel. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. God we pray the eyes of the Jews would be open that Lord we'd see the soon return of you Lord, that you'd come for your bride, the church made up of both you, Gentile, male, female, barbarian, Scythian bond or free, Lord of every tribe, tongue, tongue, kindred, and nation, and Lord the distinction of the nation of Israel also, lord. Not replacement, but the distinction, the elect of Matthew 24 of, lord, that 77 of Daniel, the time of Jacob's trouble. Lord, we pray for the nation of Israel. We pray that, Lord, that which was gathered in unbelief would come to know you, the holy spirit be poured out, that they would lead the way, the 144,000, 12,000 from each tribe with the glorious gospel being sealed by you, Lord, would go forth with angels proclaiming the good news and, alerting others of your coming kingdom. We yearn for that day, Lord. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. In your name we pray. Amen.
