Live from Bremerton. It's our Monday night bible study at Rob and Vicky and Brandon's home. Last Monday of this 2024, '20 '25 is gonna be a hoot. And we're in Ezekiel chapter 26 tonight. If you'd like to get your Bibles open, we're gonna worship the Lord. And then we're gonna continue to pray for those who are sick, and we wanna pray for our upcoming game night tomorrow night. And that's gonna be exciting, bringing in the New Year, lots of food and fellowship. And then our podcast on Wednesday with pastor Kevin Lee, pastor Mark Dinsmore, with Rob and Vicky and myself. And we're gonna try and build a a bulwark, a wall where we don't have to deal with this topic anymore concerning the flat earth. So rabbit holes are everywhere. We're not gonna go anymore into this rabbit hole. And very exciting today. I got a Hebrew commentary on Genesis from Arnold Frutkenbaum, and it's so great. What I've been saying all along is define your words. Get a dictionary. Look at the words. You know? And he's so good at that, so good at describing the, you know, first six days of creation in a globe that spins and it goes around the sun and a god of order. And it's just so easy. It's easy peasy if you're a student of the bible. So I apologize for having to deal with the flat earth, but it wasn't something I wanted to do. It's something that was forced on me. And I had a lady fall into it, another lady fall into it. I've seen a few others get stumbled by it. And so we have to deal with it. We're gonna deal with it this week. And then next week, I won't have a globe or anything to rub their nose in it. We're just gonna move forward and deal with the next next crazy thing, probably the next disease x. You know? Two weeks ago, they launched the new Delta variant, and Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency already in California even though nobody has been infected with it, but they found a cow. And so you know what that means. They're going to kill all the cows and kill all the chickens and starve us. So it's pretty funny watching all that. But when you have the enemy's playbook, it's really easy to spot. They don't they don't hide it. It's out there for anybody to see. This flat earth has really shown me that the demonic deception is so strong. As hard as you try to reach people, there are people out there that are so entrenched in these kind of things. And I think that's a picture of the times we're living in of greater and greater demonic deception. And the podcast is called be not deceived, and so be ready for it. We wanna try and save people from being deceived. Alright. Father, we thank you for this night. We committed into your hands, and that's why we're here. We're studying Ezekiel 26, and we get to see where Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Tyre, but didn't quite get it done. And then later, March, Alexander the great came and, finished it off. And then, lord, very fascinating, very interesting, verse 12. Pronoun changes to they, and it's, very exciting to have that and have history and to see what, historically happened and to see Tyre and Sidon today, Lord, they still take in as you said in your word, Lord, they still take their fishing nets and dry them out there on the on the rock there. And so I love prophecy. I thank you tonight that we get to study prophecy. And I don't know why anybody wouldn't get excited about your word and you telling us ahead of time these things that are happening, especially, Lord, as we can see, as we can hear, as we can smell the tribulation period up ahead. We can smell it. We can smell that beast system, Lord. It's right there. And you said when you see these things begin to come to pass, look up for your redemption draws nigh. So bless, Lord, tonight. Help our eyes be upon you as we're on tiptoes, Lord, looking for your soon return. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Alright. Thank you, Rob. Alright. We have Ezekiel 26 tonight. Praise the lord. And those of you on Facebook, Ezekiel 26. There you go. And Julie just text me back. I don't know if she's watching, but, you know, her mom Susan's been in in a hospital with pneumonia, and they are going to release her. She says to me, hi, pastor Rick. I've been at the hospital, and she's about to be discharged to rehab center for two weeks and then going home. Thank you again for all your prayers. So everybody keep praying for Susan, Julie's mom, And Amen. And that's a that's a blessing. Apparently, does she she's had pneumonia and had the tubes down her, but she does have terminal cancer. So but she overcame the pneumonia. So she's go to rehab to get stronger and and to go home. So maybe the Lord will heal her of the, quote, unquote, terminal cancer. God's done it before. It's happened it's happened before. It could happen again. And how big is our God? Amen. Okay. Alright. Father, thank you for the sweet time that we can spend here having a meal together in prayer and fellowship. And thank you for Julie, Lord, and her love of her mother and her stand in the gap. And and, Lord, we just pray for Susan that she continue to surrender to you more and more, Lord, that she surrender completely. And, Lord, if you choose to heal her physically, that's that's great. We pray for her physical healing. But, Lord, most importantly, that she's Julie has that confirmation that her mom knows you and that if if you do decide to take her home, then Julie's gonna see her again one day soon, Lord. We lift up Cora and Allen as they've been wrestling with sickness. Pray you heal their bodies. Lift up James and Sally and heal their bodies, Lord. Help Christie with her foot and the cyst that she has and be with Brooke. Help her to be able to walk, open doors where she can have a place closer to home here, and just bless her. And Mike Goodson, Lord, we lift him up. We pray that you help his body to retain some more muscle and lean muscle mass and just gain some weight. And I thank you for Shannon, how well she's taking care of him. And we pray for Nancy Dunn, Lord. We pray that you bless her and Lee tonight as they're at home and just undergird and strengthen her and and Lee. We thank you for them. We pray just your perfect will be done, Lord. Just bless them, bless them, bless them, pour out your holy spirit upon them, Lord. And bless this bible study tonight. Be our teacher. Pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright. Ezekiel 26. And so this is gonna be judgment upon Tyre. And Tyre is near the Gaza Strip and was occupied by the Phoenicians. And these are these are sailors. These are people that had a great trade route, a sea route for like, today, we would see the ships that come into Seattle or come into Long Beach, and they're just loaded and loaded with grains and foods and cars and all sorts of things like that. So to this, they would come into the area of Tyre. They have an outer island area, and then they have an inner landmass. And and so it's a huge trade route that also connected on the land with the trade route that went through Jerusalem. So when Jerusalem when when Nebuchadnezzar and his armies are surrounding Jerusalem in May, it takes a couple years there, and they put a siege upon Jerusalem. And as it's falling and destroyed in May, the people of Tyre are hooting and hollering. They're saying, And so they were thankful that they didn't have to pay taxes anymore with all their goods going on the land route that would have to go through the area of of Judah. And so and it came to pass in the eleventh year in the first day of the month, and this is about May to May right in there. The word of the lord came unto me saying, son of man, because Tyre has set against Jerusalem, she is broken. That was the gates of the people. She has turned unto me, and I shall be replenished now. She has laid waste. And so this was a rock city, and now the gates are open. There's gonna be a flood of people that come in and destroy the city. And they're gloating over Judah's fall, and and the lord doesn't like it. And so the lord's gonna open up the gates of invaders and people come to spoil and to to close that trade route that they had and all. They're not gonna be able to trade anymore either. And so they're they're today today, this area is what we call present day Lebanon, and she'll replenish now as laid waste. So she thinks because she's gonna have not have to pay any more taxes that she's hooting and hollering. And but the lord says, no. That's not gonna work. Therefore, thus saith the lord god, verse three, behold, I am against thee, oh Tyre, who will cause many nations to come up against thee as the sea causes its waves to come up. So these guys are sailors. They're on the sea, the Phoenicians and those of Tyre. And the lord's gonna cause slaves to come and slaves are gonna be sold to them. Amos one verse nine sold Jews to Edom, and they sold the Jews to ask slaves to Edom. But in this case, many different nations are gonna come there. Alexander the Great's gonna bring in slaves, slave labor. He's gonna use these slave in as we move on from verse 12 forward, he's gonna use these many different people that came there as slaves to build the causeway out to the island where they were able to continue. About a hundred and fifty years earlier, Shamanizar of Assyria put a siege upon Tyre, and he wasn't able to subdue them because they had an island area point five miles offshore where they were able to continue to distribute goods and receive goods. So a siege is designed to starve you out, so they weren't starved out. So even when Nebuchadnezzar breaks through in this siege, the people are all gone. The houses and everything are there, but they've already taken little boats and gone out to the Tyre that's in the island area. And then later, when and Nebuchadnezzar gets so angry when he's there and sees these abandoned homes and all that, and he crushes them all. He crushes everything. And he's also angry because there's no spoil. These these armies, when they've come in, they take the booty. They take the spoil. So when he destroyed Jerusalem, he got all the gold and all of Solomon's treasures and all. And then later, when Alexander the Great was in his conquest, he wanted to go to Persia first because the Persians defeated the Babylonians, and the Persian was to have tons of money. Then he could fund his global empire of invading countries with the with the treasures that he would he would acquire by going to Persia first, which is present day Iran. But instead, he was fearful that the Phoenicians, these men of Tyre and Sidon, that they would be able to take their ships and head over to Europe to Greece, that Greece would be vulnerable because he'd taken the armies out of Greece to go fight, you know, over here in Israel and all. And so but Tyre is extremely wealthy. And when Nebuchadnezzar finally got out to the island area, in Zechariah nine verse three, it describes Tyre as extremely wealthy. It says, and Tyre did build herself a stronghold and heaped up silver like the dust and fine gold like the mire of the street. So Alexander the Great got rewarded, you know, anyway later later on. And so it's a huge, huge commercial area. When we get to Revelation chapter 18, we're reminded that it was a huge commercial area for the Antichrist. Right? And as in a moment, it's destroyed, and it describes all the delicacies, all the luxuries, all the things that the people of the world were able to possess as it all came through, funneled through the area of Babylon. And one of the fascinating prophecies that I keep meditating upon is knowing that Babylon's being rebuilt right now. And many commentators felt in the book of Revelation that the central commercial area during the time of the tribulation period would be New York City because it's the stock market and all that. So the earlier guys that we read concerning the book of Revelation would would impose that upon the text. But from a literal standpoint, it's literally being rebuilt. So too the port in Sudan is being rebuilt. So all sorts of new trade routes are being opened up in the Middle East in preparation for the huge amount of wealth, the concentration of wealth that's gonna be moved from the West to the East. And the Antichrist is gonna have his headquarters there in Babylon, and it it's phenomenal if you look at the aerial pictures of how Babylon's being rebuilt as a port city. It's just absolutely amazing to me, and I love that stuff. And so many nations are gonna come there against thee as the sea causes its waves to come up. So the wave after wave kinda sounds like the previous four years of wave after wave after wave. What is it? 30,000,000 people that came in from our southern border into America, all different nationalities and all just pouring in. And and they shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers and will scrape her dust from the from it and make her like the top of a rock. And so God's describing how barren, how Nebuchadnezzar in building that that causeway, Nebuchadnezzar is going to destroy it, make it rubble. When Alexander the great comes in March, he's gonna, you know, he's going to figure out a way. It's gonna take him seven months, but they're gonna build a causeway, as I said repeatedly, out to that island half mile out. And they're gonna use all that rubble and then they're gonna fill in the top of it with the dirt that's from the the mainland and put that out on the causeway. So they're gonna scrape the top, get down to the rock bed, and and then god's prophesying that fishermen later would dry their nets on that out that rock outcropping and all, which still to this day they're doing interestingly. And so gonna be scraped, and it should be a place for the spreading of nets and gonna be abandoned like a ghost town. So a place of the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea for I have spoken it, saith the lord god, and it shall become a spoil to the nations. And everything outsourced to all these other countries, you know, America being sold out And very sad to watch, you know, watch your resources and everything be given away, sold away, dollars given to everybody, to Ukraine, to, you know, Iran to just take and drive our debt up to $36,000,000,000,000. We just give money away. We're giving everything away. And it's like we, the American people, what's what's gonna happen when the music stops? And her daughters, which are in the field, shall be slain by the sword, and they shall know that I am the lord. So Charles Spurgeon, when he was pastor of the church in London, one of the things he learned because he came from a smaller area, like a village type thing, is that if you if you study the apostle Paul and his church planting efforts, he would hit the big cities. He would he would hit Ephesus. He hit Rome. He'd hit these big areas, and he'd have a, you know, a place of ministry in these big cities. And then from there, in the smaller outlying areas like Colossae and some of these smaller areas, would be smaller churches and smaller cities. So Spurgeon, being in London, you know, he felt that that was a way that he could reach the most people, and so 10,000 people a Sunday would come there. But when somebody's that blessed and that prolific, you know, in their in their evangelism effort and teaching the word of god, then the word of god begins to spread to outline smaller areas. And that's what happened with Tyre and Sidon, the economics. So that's what Spurgeon recognized. If you come to an economic stronghold, people are drawn to that economic stronghold. They're not gonna be drawn to ghost towns where there's no jobs and nothing going on. So you wanna go where the people are, and it's the economic vibrant places that the people go. And and that's what happened here. They had a lot of outlying little villages and cities that were supported as a result of the the economy that tire was producing. Some people like to live in the inner city, you know, the stack and pack and ride your bikes and all that in the future. I always tell my grandkids that I'm a city boy, that I wasn't raised in the country. Everything was concrete everywhere. But we had the beach, and so the beach was good and the sand and all that. But some people enjoy that. They enjoy life in the city. Some like the suburbs. So you go out a little bit out from the the, you know, the city, live in the Burbs. So the Burbs, all of it are being affected here. Nebuchadnezzar's armies are gonna wipe it all out, and, all the little small villages, the sister cities, are gonna be destroyed. And so when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, there were sister cities that were also destroyed around that general region. And then verse seven, for thus saith the Lord God, behold, I will bring upon Tyre Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, a a king of kings from the North with horses and with chariots and with horsemen and companies and many people. And so in this point in time, war was the conventional warfare in that time didn't have any nukes, didn't have any airplanes, didn't have any drones, but they had chariots and horses, And they had machines to take and throw big rocks, you know, at at walls and try and break the walls down and ramming rods and spears and shields and things like that. And so Nebuchadnezzar, king of kings, he's a king of all the other kings. They're subservient to him. And and so God says, I'm gonna bring Nebuchadnezzar. And Nebuchadnezzar was gonna go after Egypt, I think, at first, or he did. I forget forget that one. But decided to come to Tyre instead and deal with him. God brought brought him to Tyre. So from the North with horses and with chariots and with horsemen and companies and many people. One of the things I've been reading quite a bit about, I hope you've seen it too, is that Ukraine presently is a laboratory of beta testing for warfare. Do you guys know that? Conventional warfare with the Houthis over in the Mideast, they're they're they're stifling the transfer of of of oil and stuff in the area, and they're simply using drones. They're using very inexpensive drones to stifle and to hinder our navy that's that's there as the policeman to keep everything flowing. Well, in Ukraine, it's interesting how it's being used as a as a laboratory, as a beta testing of conventional warfare changing with the advent of the of the drones. Swarm drones, individual drones, all of it's coming into play, and it's gonna be very interesting from a conventional military standpoint how that how that affects everything. Well, these guys, the state of the art was to have these horses, these chariots. And when the Egyptians were coming after Moses and the 2,000,000 people that left Egypt, they were not warfarin people. They didn't know how to fight, and they didn't have any weapons per se. They despoiled the Egyptians and all, but God purposely put them with their backs to the wall. They moved into a cul de sac, into a corner near the Red Sea. And God caused the children of Israel to be able to pass over on dry ground. And, some of you watched the 10 commandments. Right? And, you've seen that. And a big wall of water on either side. And later, he did it again on the River Jordan for Joshua and the guys, and they were able to put a stone for each tribe there in the in the Jordan River at Gilgal. But in this case, the lord caused the Shekinah glory to shine such to keep the Egyptians away. The Egyptians were coming. What were they coming? They were coming with conventional warfare of horses and chariots. And they were gonna try and wipe out the Israelites, but God protected them and got them across on on dry ground. And then later, the Egyptians sought to cross the same way the the Israelites did, but God caused the water to fall in upon them and drown them in the Gulf Of Aqaba. It's what they call it today. And you can watch movies. You can watch videos Yeah. Of divers and people going down and finding artifacts of old chariot wheels in the Gulf Of Aqaba where the Red Sea where the Red Sea is. And such a radical miracle, what God did historically, that the flat earthers try to say that, no, that really didn't happen, that it wasn't the Red Sea, it was the Reed Sea. And so what they mean by that is it was very shallow, just a few inches of water. So now you have to ask yourself, what's the greater miracle for God to drown the Egyptian army in very deep water coming in upon them, or is the greater miracle for God to drown them in three inches of water? So God wins. Right? God wins. So it's not the Red Sea. It's the Red Sea. Alright. And and there's still artifacts there. Some fishermen along the area of Tyre here, they noticed that the the outcropping that the causeway, the jetty that Alexander the Great and his men built, that it wasn't a natural, you know, thing, a natural thing made naturally, but that it was something that men built. They could see the stones and everything there. And so they they drew close to it and began to examine it, and all could see that, hey, this was built. And then anybody that knew their bible, Ezekiel 26, could tell them, you know, from verse 12 forward, you know, how that happened. And so also historians like Josephus and I'll record these things for us. So accompanies many people. And he put a siege upon the city which lasted thirteen years, a thirteen year siege upon the city proper from May. And and so some trust in horses, some in chariots, but we're gonna trust what? The Right? Living And that's that's how we roll. We like having a strong military. We like having a strong military because we like peace. And if we didn't have a strong military, we wouldn't be at peace because we have enemies, and those enemies would want to take advantage of us. And so nothing wrong having a strong defense. Nothing wrong, you know, utilizing the second amendment and being able to defend yourself and and keep people at bay that would try to seek you harm or your family harm. And so that's kind of the model that that we that we see. But ultimately, if we're violating God's laws and we don't look at him as the one protecting us and we begin to trust in our technology, then some trust in horses, some in chariots, some in drones, some on nukes and all that. But we're gonna trust, you know, in the living God. And you know what else? It even says it on our coins. It says in God we trust. Right? Okay. So hopefully that's gonna continue and that we continue to trust in the living God. I'm so glad that the Lord gave me faith. I'm so glad that I'm a believer. I'm so glad I get to trust him like a child each and every day. And I would hate to have to go it on my own listening to the so called experts out there to try and discern which way to go or how to live my life. I've got the bible basic instructions before leaving earth, and and it's just so simple, isn't it? God's made it just so incredibly simple. The devil is the author of confusion and chaos and tries to turn things upside down. So he shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field, and he shall make a fort against thee and cast the siege mound against thee and lift up the buckler against thee. And that's what he does. He does just that. He did that against Jerusalem, as I said, in May. And a couple years later, May, he broke through the walls of Jerusalem and destroyed the city. But people Jeremiah writes to us in Lamentations what it was like. Mothers eating their children, and also it's a means of famine. You caused the people to be famished. Earlier, Hezekiah brought water from the Gihon Springs and brought it into Jerusalem, and that was a key element there that you have fresh water in case somebody did siege against you. But if you had stored up food as a prepper, they're gonna stay out there till you don't have any food. And if you're able to have a a supply of food coming in like the did, you know, it'll last longer. But as I said, Shamanizar or the Assyrians tried it once before, and after five years of of siege against the city of Tyre, he wound up quitting. He wound up going away because, man, these guys it's impossible to get out there to stop them from their little island their little island gig out there. So he shall slay with a sword thy daughters in the field, and he shall make a ford against thee and cast a siege mount against thee and lift up the buckler against thee. And he shall set enemies of engines of war against your walls and with his axes he shall break down your towers. So this is the cutting edge technology of, you know, how to bring your engines of war and your battle axes and everything you can to try and break down those big walls. And when Nehemiah went back to Jerusalem after seventy years of captivity in Babylon, he got permission to go back from Artaxerxes. On March fourteen four forty five BC, the commandment for it to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. And so Nehemiah got to go back and start to build the walls and Ezra the priest to rebuild the temple. And Tobias, Samballat, and many of those that were there were trying to fight against Nehemiah and mock Nehemiah and get his eyes off the ball and distract him and stuff. And we can get distracted from the main mission that we have, but we have enemies. You can't be passive with those enemies. Gotta fight against those enemies, but you don't need to be distracted by them and be drawn into meetings and weirdness and all that. A lot of different rabbit holes out there. Careful of the rabbit holes you're drawn into. But Nehemiah and the guys had a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other. So they're able to work, but they're also able to defend and continue to focus on what they were there for. You know? And Tobias and Sambala on several occasions tried to distract Nehemiah from the goal, from why he was there. And at one point, Nehemiah told him, how could a man as great as I, you know, the calling God has on his life? And he was just a butler. He was a butler. But a man like I am, you know, be drawn away to that. You know? And they tried to lie to him. They tried to join him. They tried to every which way they could to undermine him. And and he kept his he kept his eye on the goal. And that's what you and I need to do in these last days because we're under attack, but, we don't wanna waste any more time. We wanna make sure that we're getting the gospel out and that we're, preaching that the Lord's kingdom's coming. You know? Keep people on track. Keep them on track that Jesus is coming because there's so many lies to distract people. But Jesus is coming back, and we can prove it because the Bible tells us ahead of time, what it's gonna be like just prior, to his coming. And very important to be a student of prophecy. And he shall set engines of war against thee, verse nine, thy walls and with axes and break down your towers by reason of the abundance of his horses. Their dust shall cover thee, thy wall shall shake at the noise of the horsemen and of the wheels and of the chariots when he shall enter into your gates as men enter into a city in which is made a breach. So they're gonna be flooding in. They're gonna be flooding in. But if you're the king of Tyre, hey, I've already weathered, you know, a siege with Shamanizar of the Assyrians a hundred and fifty years ago. You don't understand how this city is designed. You don't understand that we have an ability to take our little ships out to the island and and to get all the food we need with fishing and trading and all that out there. So if Nebuchadnezzar doesn't have a navy to go out there into the waters and fight the those of Tyre, you know, on the sea, their land efforts you're gonna have to be there thirteen years to pull this off, buddy. So Nebuchadnezzar was very, very, very patient, if you will, in spending thirteen years waiting for waiting to be able to get in there. And then once he did get in there, the people were gone. They're all gone. They went over to the island area and took all the gold and the silver and all the moneys and everything they had. And Nebuchadnezzar was so angry that, again, he just broke everything down and turned it all to rubble and then left. So with the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all your streets. He shall slay the people with a sword, and thy strong garrison shall go down to the ground. And and that's what happened. The Lord just took it down down to the ground. And then watch how the pronoun changes in verse 12 from he to they. And and they shall make a spoil of your riches, they. And make a prey of thy merchandise. And they shall break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses. And they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. So as I said, March Alexander the Great comes to get the spoil to wipe out the city because he didn't want this particular group of people who were sailors, the Phoenicians, to be able to sail over to Greece to cause any trouble of Greece because Alexander the Great is Greeks is a Grecian general and king. And he built the city of Philippi in Judea, area of Macedonia. Philip of Macedon, that was his father, Philip of Macedon. So the Macedonian areas, Paul is sharing the gospels area of of Galatia and Philippians and all those places. And the city of Philippi is actually named after his father, Philip of Macedon. And and Matthew six nineteen and twenty says, store not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, where thieves break through and steal. But store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust can't corrupt, where thieves can't break through and steal. So we as stewards of what God gives us can send some of it ahead. It's interesting when you've when you when you look at coins and what wealth is, you know, in coin form, maybe not in paper form, but these coins, gold coins, silver coins, where you where how are you going to preserve it so people don't steal it? How where I had these friends that are super wealthy in in California. And at the time we were talking, I said, well, so and so says that you're supposed to buy up some gold and silver. And they're so wealthy, their thought process is where am I going to store all that? How am I going to convert my money that's in the bank into gold and silver? How big of a how big of a safe do you need, you know. And then if you do have a safe and it's there at your house, my buddy Andy told me of people in Idaho, if they know about it, if somebody knows that you have a safe, there's lots of gold and silver at your prepper, there's a knock at the door. There's people there with with weapons and masks on, and they'll come in and just take it. You know? And and they'll kill your family if they know it's there. They want it so bad. And so that's how this was, is they had their wealth right there in Tyre, and this invading army can come in there and take it. So that's the advent of the bankers. The bankers begin to let people know that, hey, I've got a big vault here, and you can store your money here. You don't need to be carting it around everywhere, taking it with you everywhere you go. And the other thing I learned about gold and silver is, like the Jews, as they came to America with diamonds laced in their jackets and stuff, they were taking a quantity of wealth with them, and they knew that the German currency was worthless and all. They couldn't get to the dollar yet. And when they come to America, they had something they could convert, you know, in wealth. So in these cultures, a lot of times you'll see somebody wearing a gold necklace, like a gold link necklace, maybe underneath around their neck, but, you know, down, kind of high knit or bracelets or whatever. And if they came across hard times, you can take and cut one link off that gold necklace and take that one link to convert to food or whatever you need to as a currency. Right? So that's why some of them, you know, would think that way. We're taught to put it all in the bank, let the bank keep it safe for us. And so you convert all your gold, your silver, all your tangible assets into a balance sheet from the bank. And you can go there and you can't get your gold or silver back, but you can get a used to be used to be able to get a silver certificate or a gold certificate. But they got rid of that too. So now you have a promissory note. And when the promissory note goes away, you're gonna only have a token in a digital blockchain currency that says in their accounting that you're worth such and such. And then you're gonna have all sorts of restrictions of what you can buy, how much you can buy, and that's where the that's where the great tyranny is going to come. As Catherine Austin Fitts says, when that happens it's basically a concentration camp without walls. So think in terms of, you know, you're free, that freedom you have, but then wait a minute, somebody could steal it at any minute. So what am I supposed to do? Well, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust can't corrupt, where thieves can't break through and steal. So invest in the kingdom of God. You know, that'll never be taken from you. And so you try to do both. You try to be productive here on earth. Be fruitful and God's able to bless you as you can be a blessing to others. Freely we receive. Freely we give. The Lord giveth. The Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. It's all in his hands, isn't it? And but we don't want to miss out on the importance of developing a portfolio for heaven. Because what we do in this life is gonna carry over into the next. And that's what Jesus is saying, Matthew chapter six verse nineteen and twenty. And hopefully, we you can be wealthy in both places. And they, the Greeks, shall make a spoil of your riches. And I read in Zechariah chapter nine verse three, they're pretty wealthy. It says, and Tyre did build herself a stronghold and heaped up silver like the dust and fine gold like the mire of the streets. And so it was just enormous amount of wealth that they built up. And Alexander the Great thought that he needed to get to Persia first because that's where the money was, but he found out that, oh, Tyre and Sidon has a lot of money too. And and so they shall make a spoil of your riches and make a prey of your merchandise, and they shall break down your walls and destroy and shall destroy your pleasant houses, and they shall lay the stones and the timber, and they shall and the dust in the midst of the water. So Alexander the Great in March, he uses the slaves that were there from verse three, the many nations that came in. He takes and uses them to take all the rubble of the city proper and to build that causeway, that jetty out there, and then also to take and scrape the city proper area of all of its dirt and begin to lay it in the cracks and all. And took them seven months to do this, put a siege upon the city that's out there, and and destroyed the island area of Tyre. Just destroyed it. And and I'll cause the noise of your songs to cease and the sound of your harps shall be no more heard. So there's this there's this awesome ominous silence. Just everything's silent. No more parties. No more big festivals. You remember Belshazzar, grandson of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter five having a big party? That very night Cyrus and Darius are able to come into the city and destroy it one evening. There's no more party in here. And and it's eerily quiet. Everything's quiet. And god says it's not going to be built no more, not going to ever be built again. And that's what he says there. Turn to James. Somebody wanna read James five one through five? And somebody else wanna read Job twelve fourteen? And who wants first Peter five five and six? Okay. James five one through five. It's a verse that we don't think about very much. Hardly ever did we go to that verse. Job twelve fourteen, first Peter five five and six. And who wants to read in Revelation 18 the sudden destruction of Babylon? Vicky does. Okay. Find the section there, Vicky, about the sudden destruction of Babylon. Antichrist headquarters wiped out. Okay. Concerning wealth, we've got the Bill Gateses, the Elon Musks, the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers. We've got the globalists heaping up riches for the last days, it says in James. Isn't that interesting? We'd call them today the one percenters. When COVID happened, the government did a bailout. They did they produced tons of money for COVID. The money didn't go onto the streets to you and I, the people. We lost our businesses. Many people shut down, lost their business, and lost everything. But the money went to the one percenters. It went to the bankers and all them. And same in 2008, 2009, the banks were too big to fail. So there's huge amount of government money flooding into these banks and these bankers and just making them wealthier and wealthier. And so it's there's not an equitable system in place of communism or socialism or whatever you'd call it. There's a very, very extremely wealthy billionaires, and then there's the rest of us. James five one through five. Go to now, you rich man. Weep and howl for your mis miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered, and the rest of them shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasures together for that last days. Behold, the higher of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is you kept which is of you who have kept back by fraud, crieth, and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of the Sabbath. You have lived in pleasure on the earth and been wanted. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter. So the that's a message from James from the Lord to the last days of the accumulation of wealth during the tribulation period, enormous wealth to the one percenters. And same thing that happened here is in a moment, it's gone. Think you're secure. Think you'll never die. You know, Elon Musk, Noyumal Harari, Jared Kushner, a lot of these young globalists are boasting that they've got technology that's gonna make it so they're never gonna die. You know? And that's the ultimate equalizer is death. Right? Amen. We're all gonna die. And Job twelve fourteen. Behold, he breaketh down and it cannot be built again. He shutteth up a man and there can be no opening. There you go. First Peter five five and six. Likewise, you younger people, yourselves to your elders. Yes. All of you be submissive to one another and be clothed with humility for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time. And so verse 16, talking about the princes, the young princes, how wealthy they are and all and how because they were so prideful is why he's taking them down but humble yourself in the sight of the lord and he'll lift you up. God resists the proud and he gives grace to the humble. Revelation 18, miss Vicky. Hi, Jordan. Okay. It says after this, I saw another angel come down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. With the mighty voice, he shouted, fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. She has become a dwelling for demons for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit and a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal. For all the nations have drunk the madness, the maddening wine of her adulteries. The king of the earth commanded adultery with her, committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries. Amen. As in a moment, there's smoke billowing from it, and the merchants are looking from afar. Mhmm. Babylon. Babylon. They're all wailing. They're wailing, man. Yep. Oh, great Babylon has fallen. Yep. Yep. It's a day coming. They're gonna cry. No more money. Oh, and the exploitation of children and workers and sex trafficking and all that slavery and all that terrible stuff they do. Alright. So and and it says, like, in in James' verse six, it says in in the slaughtering of people, nobody resists you. You know, they never go to jail for the sex trafficking of the kids and the children and all the exploiting of people. They they just never get prosecuted. You know? They're too rich. So so I make thee like the top of the rock. Thou shall be a place to spread nets upon. Thou shall be built no more for I the Lord have spoken it, saith the Lord God. So saith the Lord God, Tyre shall not the coastlands shake at the sound of your fall when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee. So you went, uh-huh, uh-huh, the surrounding coastland area is gonna do the same thing. They're gonna they're gonna, you know, the trade nations, all the nations that you traded with, they're gonna they're gonna, you know, gloat over your demise. Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones and lay away their robes. So tremendous wealth production with the ability to have a navy and to have merchant ships that are able to go and distribute all the goods, all the things that they're able to transfer around. So these guys, these young young billionaires are gonna come down, and they shall clothe themselves with trembling, and they shall sit upon the ground and shall tremble at every moment and be appalled at thee. And so, the trade routes stopped, Babylon destroyed. Verse 17, and they shall take up a a lamentation for thee and say, to thee, how art thou destroyed that was inhabited by seafaring men? The renowned city which was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants who caused their terror to be on all that dwelt in it. And so your sailors, your navy, you had you had a prolific fleet of ships from a military standpoint and from a trade standpoint. And up presently, the US Navy with the Bretton Woods agreement with 1973 with a barrel of oil, it's changing the petrodollar. Part of the agreement was is that we, our military, would protect Saudi Arabia and these other oil producing nations and keep the routes, the trade routes free and open, the Suez Canal and and all these different trade routes. We were the policemen on the on the high seas, lest you have pirates. So when you sing the song that in the time of Thomas Jefferson, we had pirates in the area of Tripoli around Africa, the Horn Of Africa, that in those trade routes, they were coming out as pirates, and they were you see pirates today. They come out from Somalia, and they take these big hooks, and they try to get up on those big container ships. Right? You guys seen that? Yes. And so from the Halls Of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli. Right? So why did Thomas Jefferson and the marines you put the marines on the navy ships. And what was that about? What is they were having pirates in the time of Thomas Jefferson. Right? So they developed the marines and they developed it and they had a song for it. Right? From the There it goes. You got that? Alright. So anyway, that's part of that's part of our heritage and a part of our navy and how we resisted the exploitation of other nations in our in our trade routes and building our economy and building our our country up. In the beginning of our country, we were dependent upon Britain, and we were we were bringing in, importing so many goods and things from Britain. And then later we realized, no, we need to kick the Brits out. We need to have small businesses in America producing, you know, our own goods. And then when we get an abundance of goods, then we can export. We can export. And that's what we do we were doing around the world is exporting around the world until Ross Perot said when he was running for president, he said, do you hear that sucking sound? That's all of our manufacturing being sucked out of America and heading over to China and all these other nations. Right? So all those jobs going away. There's another little tidbit here. Elon Musk and some of these tech giants are being appointed, not going through congress and agreed upon, but appointed by president Trump for efficiency, government efficiency. So when he bought Twitter, he reduced 80% of the jobs he eliminated. He went AI. So what they're proposing is they're going go AI with our government, all the paper pushers, and they're going to remove those jobs and create a greater efficiency by working with artificial intelligence, computers and such. And these computer hubs are being built by companies like Amazon or Microsoft all over the country, big buildings with huge amount of processing ability with these computers to produce their AI. So much so that they don't have enough electricity on the grid to run these facilities. So they're actually taking the technology from our US submarines, our nuclear technology, and trying to bring in small nuclear reactors to provide the electricity for their hubs. And so the jobs that are going be lost are going to be over the top. And and we exported. We we outsourced all of those good manufacturing jobs that were once here, and now we're going to eliminate jobs and give it over to AI for greater efficiency. So again, the wealthy guys are gonna get even more wealthy. They're not gonna need human beings as much as they once did. And yet, Brit Gillette said they're never gonna reach a point in time where they can completely rely upon the artificial intelligence. It's always going to be fused with human beings, just not as many human beings. And so they need human beings to basically operate the AI. The AI is just a tool according to Brit Gillette. Cut the grass. And to cut the grass. Yep. As long as everything everything goes right and put it on the ground here to vacuum the carpet. Yeah. Alright. So the trade routes are gonna be be eliminated. Now shall the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall, yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at your departure. So great loss for everybody. Everybody was making money off of Tyre. It was a great system of commerce. For thus saith the lord god, when I shall make thee a desolate city like the cities that are not inhabited, when I shall bring up the deep roar and the great waters shall cover thee. So you're going to be flooded. You're going to be lost at sea. You're going to just sink into the ocean and you're gonna be swallowed up by the sea. And so when I shall bring the bring thee down with them that descend into the pit with the people of old. The pit is death. The pit is hell. The pit is Kahanna. I'm gonna bring you to I'm gonna bring you to hell and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit that thou be not inhabited and I shall set glory in the hand of the living. So the islands are gonna be sinking down. The people will be sinking down. You're going down down down, gonna go down to hell. And Jesus came to set the captives free, didn't he? So he didn't come for the righteous but for sinners so that we wouldn't have to go to hell for all eternity. He's the great emancipator or savior of the world. None of us are righteous enough to evade hell. It's only his righteousness. It's his victory. And and he chose us. And I'm just so thankful. And I'll make thee a terror and thou shall be no more. So there you're gonna be an example. I'm gonna sew up on you that it's gonna you're gonna be an example to all the other nations and not mess with me, not mess with Israel. God says in Genesis 12 verse three, I'll bless those that bless thee. I'll curse those that curse thee. All these guys said was You know? That's not very much. Yeah. You know, the Lord's listening, so don't touch the apple of his eye. I'd hate to be a pastor of a church that call themselves a replacement theology. A replacement theology means that God's done with Israel and that the church replaced Israel. That's that's false doctrine. And there's a lot of churches that believe that way and believe that the book of Revelation was fulfilled in seventy AD historically. They don't believe in prophecy, and they don't believe in Israel's right to the land. And so you'll see people, politicians, working in a direction of dividing Jerusalem up, a two state solution. And dividing Jerusalem up, I wouldn't want to be a part of that. I don't not what I see here. And I'll make thee a terror, and thou shall be no more. Though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the lord god. Now the city of Tyre has a a source of fresh water. And with a source of fresh water, you would think they'd be able to just rebuild over it. And if you look at the archaeologists as they go to these ancient civilizations, they would see what's called a And a tell would be a city built upon a collapsed city. You just build keep building over it. And the archaeologist spade as it goes down in and starts digging, it can see a previous, you know, layers, strata of different civilizations. Not so here. It's the rock that's been scraped. Nobody's built upon it, and they perish. Now in December, some of it began to build back just a little bit, but never like like before. In December, the Crusaders from Europe came, and they came to the area of Tyre and Sidon. And they overthrew the, you know, the Muslims that were there. And then later when the Muslims came and overcame the Crusaders that were there, the Muslims also took everything. It was the attempt to rebuild everything, and they considered it to be defiled for Muslims to live there and and scraped it and got rid of everything there. Now Peter Stoner, pastor Chuck laid this out when I listened to him today, and also John Corson, both of them allude to this. So Peter Stoner has a really good book, the compound probability book of prophecies being fulfilled, and I quote it all the time. But basically, the compound probability for Jesus to come on the scene and fulfill just eight prophecies is 10 to the seventeenth power. Right? And 10 to the seventeenth power, Peter Stoner illustrated, is filling the state of Texas two and a half feet deep with silver dollars, taking 1 silver dollar and marking it, blinding a person, wrapping a thing, you know, Xi's, blindfolding them, send them into Texas, the compound probability of a person fulfilling just eight of those prophecies is equivalent to that man reaching down or woman and finding, know, that one silver dollar that's marked. 10 to the seventeenth power. Mathematical probability. So the students at Pasadena College did a compound probability study mathematically that this passage in Ezekiel 26 to be fulfilled by, you know, Alexander the Great later. And they they said it's one in seventy five million odds. One in seventy five million, the odds of of that happening. So now listen to this. So it really gets interesting when you realize that Jesus fulfilled 300 prophecies in his first coming. And just eight of them, mathematically, the compound probability, be one in 10 to the seventeenth power. Isn't that amazing? That's why Peter said we handled him. We touched Jesus. We saw him on the Mount Of Transfiguration, you know, in his glory, shining bright and all. We hung out with him 3.5. We saw the scars, Thomas, you know, in his hands, his feet, and where the centurions pierced him. We're eyewitnesses, but but we have the more sure word of prophecy. So Peter's saying we have an even greater witness than eyewitness testimony. You go into court of law and somebody says, hey, That guy went into the liquor store and and shot the the clerk dead, and I'm here to testify, eyewitness testimony, that I saw him do it. And then a second person says, yeah. I saw him too. That guy's going away. Right? When two witnesses, you know, can can do that, you're you're done. Right? And not just the cameras. We have eyewitness testimony of over 500 people that were with Jesus after he's resurrected. Eyewitnesses who are willing to die for that testimony. Right? Then you got the 12 disciples, the apostles, who said we are eyewitnesses of him. And then later he says, but we have an even greater testimony. This the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Right? We love prophecy. And prophecy being fulfilled is God's word being fulfilled. Now you know, the more sure word of prophecy. Now if one of these prophecies were not fulfilled, then this Bible's not God's word. It just takes one error. Just one error. One one prophecy to not be fulfilled. Like let's say Jesus was born in Nazareth rather than Bethlehem, then the Bible's not true. Not true. Let's say he was not born by a virgin, just born by Mary and Joseph had sex. Well, the bible's not true because it said it's gonna be a, you know, born of a virgin. And and that he wouldn't come out of Egypt. You know, when he had to flee to Egypt because of the three wise men there and all, the lord called his son out of Egypt. Called him back to, you know, Nazareth after being in Egypt till Herod the great died. And if he'd have been born in the tribe of any other tribe but the tribe of Judah, then this isn't the word of God because Genesis 39 said he'd be of the tribe of Judah. Right? The kingly tribe. The root and the offspring of David. If his lineage wasn't in the same lineage as David, then this isn't the Bible. So Chuck pointed out that the first writing of the Book of Mormon, the very first writing Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon. They claim it to be God's word. In that first draft, in that first book, they claim, for all you flat earthers out there, that the moon was made of cheese. Wow. Wow. You heard that from a hat too. Right? No. Chuck said Chuck said the Book of Mormon said that oh, what else? Oh, just the Mormon The first the one of the first creators of Mormons got his some of his prophecies from a hat. Oh, from a hat. Okay. Yeah. I know they had glasses and weird things and all that. So it's still going on, these crazy crazy people out there. But I but the word of God, man, it's Dan Short. Do you know how many people have tried to disprove the word of God over history, throughout history? All these great, you know, computer people and everybody that thinks they're so smart, why don't they just destroy Christianity by disproving the Bible? Why don't they why don't they come here to, you know, chapter 26 and say, well, you know, this must have been written around February because it's just it's too accurate. You know, Alexander the Great historically going there in March and wiping it out. You know, you guys must have wrote it after the fact. No. Didn't write it after the fact. And five hundred years before Christ, you know, it's written. So, anyway, studying prophecy is not a waste of time. It's a it's it's a very, very thrilling. It'll strengthen your faith. It'll give you more opportunities to share the gospel with people because people many people are looking for a reason for their faith. And that's why Peter said we have the more sure word of prophecy. These, you know, these things that we talk about Peter saying, you know, the these aren't just fables or little things that we came up with. You know? Luke starts out his gospel by saying, you know, many infallible proofs, you know, evidences of what we're saying is true. So I don't think the Bible ever says that the moon is cheese or that the earth is flat. So there you go. Alright. Let's pray. Father, thank you for the the blessing of being able to study the bible and have a confidence that the bible is is your absolute truth, that we don't need to be the blind leading the blind falling into a ditch, that, Lord, that we take the your word. You gave us language. You gave us letters. You gave us sentences, paragraphs, rules of grammar, and Hebrew words, Greek words, translation into English. And, Lord, there's a way for us to use study helps like the strong concordance, treasury of scripture knowledge, and dictionaries, Lord. Dictionaries of teaching us what that Hebrew word circle means. And, and, Lord, we can look at Josephus, and and, we can look at, secular historians who confirm what happened after the fact, whereas we have the word of God that tells us ahead of time before it's gonna happen. So, Lord, thank you that our faith is not a blind faith. It's not a stupid moronic faith. But, Lord, our faith is is based in based upon the infallibility of your word, the inerrancy, the infallibility of your holy word, Lord, that you've given us. As as Ezekiel keeps pointing out, the Lord said, the Lord said, the Lord said. And I thank you, Lord, that he wrote it down. So bless our night tonight. Help us the next few days as we spend some more time together ushering in the new year. And we pray in this in this new year, Lord, that we'd have the privilege and the blessing of continuing to do a bible study here on Mondays. And that, Lord, the scriptures will open even wider for us, greater and greater understanding of who you are. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
