Ezekiel 19
Pastor Rick Beaudry leads a study of Ezekiel 19, explaining the chapter as a funeral dirge for Judah’s failed kings and tracing the lion imagery back to Genesis 49 and the Davidic promise. He reviews Israel’s leadership failures from the monarchy through exile, recounting Zedekiah, Jehoahaz and Jehoiachin, and the cycles from Exodus, the judges and Samuel that set the stage for the Messiah as the Lion of Judah. He applies the lament to our day, warning us about corrupted leadership, media-driven fear, oligarchic threats, artificial intelligence and the coming beast system including the mark of the beast. He urges us to root ourselves in Scripture, hold spiritual leaders accountable and trust Christ as the coming king.
