Live from Bremerton. It's Monday night. We have electricity. We got power. We've got a nice warm place to meet, food in our bellies, and we're gonna open up prayer. Those of you on Facebook that are following, we're gonna have continual updates on the election. We know who won, and we'll let you know after this bible study. Alright. Okay. So, father, we come before you, Lord, and we just lift up this time before you. Thank you that you're sovereign, you're in control, and you're on your throne, Lord. And nothing happens without your permission. Nothing happens in the lives in which we live unless it goes through your providential filter, Lord. And so we trust you completely, and we commit this bible study in your hands tonight. And we ask that you pour out your holy spirit upon us and bless. And, Lord, we lift up Brooke, and we pray that you would continue to heal her, continue to bless her with this, as she's gonna celebrate life and look at it in that in that fashion. She's made a lot of progress. We pray you continue to help her, Lord. We lift up Marco and pray that, God, you would heal him, that you'd save his life, help his kidneys to work and his organs to work and, germs, dad. And, Lord, we just lift up, others in the church who are struggling and, just bless. And bless America, Lord. Bless, and your perfect will be done in this election. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Things shall be added unto you. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Amen. Here you go. Alrighty. You ready? Yeah. Okay. Thanks, Rob. Power's still on. Here we go. Alright. Ezekiel chapter 18. Ezekiel 18. And before we before we go there, in light of the tons of churches tonight are fasting and praying for election tomorrow. So, in light of that, why don't you turn first of all to Daniel chapter two? In light of our election tomorrow, gonna go to three passages of scripture to help us keep things in perspective. Sometimes we lose perspective. Sometimes watching the television too much makes you psychotic, And it's designed by the devil. It's demonic, the brainwashing. Alright. Daniel chapter two verse 19. You guys ready? So Nebuchadnezzar had a vision, a dream, and none of his wise men could interpret it, but Daniel is interpreting it. So then was the secret revealed under Daniel night vision, then Daniel blessed the god of heaven. Daniel answered and said, blessed is the name of the god forever and ever in wisdom, might, and him, might are his. And he changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and sets up kings. He giveth wisdom under the wise and knowledge to those, who know understanding. He reveals the the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness and in the light dwells with him. I thank thee and praise thee, O thou, God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might and has made known unto me now what we desired of thee for thou has, now made known unto us, the king's matter. And so Daniel's able to interpret what happened with the king. Now turn over to chapter four. So Daniel revealed to the king that the king will be the king of the Babylonian Empire in the image of gold that Babylonia is gold. The Medes and Persians would come in after that of silver, and then the brass, the Greeks, and then the iron and the clay, the Romans, fourth world empire. And then the rebirth of that fourth world empire is the time that we're living in where we're going to see the seventieth seven of Daniel, the tribulation period. We're gonna be raptured out, but we can see the beginnings of it, the beast system, if you will. So then in chapter four, Nebuchadnezzar makes the mistake of saying, is this not great Babylon which I have built? And the words are barely out of his mouth, and he's led into a field for seven years to lose his faculties, to lose his ability to think. And, his hair's grown really long, and his nails are grown really long, and, like, the talons of an eagle and all. And, when he wakes up from that, in verse 34, chapter four verse 34, and at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up mine eyes unto heaven and mine understanding returned unto me, and, and I blessed the most high. So you've got a you've got a pagan Babylonian king, and this is the part where many of us believe he might have come to a saving faith in Jesus. Expect to see Nebuchadnezzar in heaven. Alright? So, the most high, and I praised and honored him who lives forever, whose dominion is is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation. So a heavenly kingdom. My kingdom is not of this world. Right? Jesus said. And all the inhabitants of earth are reputed as nothing, and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven. So when Jesus was asked, you know, Lord, teach us how to pray. The disciples were taught, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And so in all the inhabitants of the earth are repeated as nothing and doeth according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand nor say unto him, what doest thou? You ever ask god, what are you doing? Are you sure about that? Are you sure you want Kamala to be president? Are you sure about that? You got the Biden and the Biden lasted four years. You got the Obama, he lasted eight years. You think that's an accident? If god didn't want him, he'd ace them out. Right? Sometimes he gives a a country, a leader that reflects who they are. In the same time, my reason returned unto me and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honor and brightness returned unto me. My counselors and my lords sought unto me, and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the king of heaven, all whose works are truth and his ways justice, and those that walk in pride, he is able to abase. Amen. Okay? Now turn to Psalm 75. So Kathy and I haven't lost any sleep. Zero anxiety over this election cycle. Another. Zero. And yet so many people's heads are exploding. It's either gonna be a party or a funeral this week. Right? Alright. Psalm 75 verse six. For promotion cometh neither east Go ahead, Thomas. But cometh from the Lord. No. Let me read it. Okay? Let me read it. Alright. For promotion cometh neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South, but God is the judge. He puts down one and sets up another. Amen. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of wine and red and is fully mixed and it pours out of the same. But the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them and drink them. Eventually. Right? But I will declare forever. I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the power of the wicked also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. So it ain't over till it's over. Right? Till the fat lady sings. Alright. Alright. So back to Ezekiel chapter 18. I don't know why they say that. Why did they say that? You don't use the f word around women, I'll tell you that. Alright. Ezekiel 18. Lord, help us understand your word. We pray. We we just transfer. We we cast our cares upon you knowing you're on the throne. Every little hair is numbered. There's no sparrow that falls to the ground that you don't know. It's fallen to the ground. Lord, you love the children. You love each and everyone. There isn't any person upon this planet that you don't know everything about them, Lord. Nothing falls through the cracks with you. So, God, we thank you that you keep great records. You're omniscient. You know all things. And, Lord, we we thank you for, your sovereignty tonight. That, Lord, everything happens according to your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Amen. Alright. So here we have in chapter 18, the Lord, his justice is challenged, and the Lord is going to teach us tonight that each and every person is responsible for their actions. Some of these politicians you thought I wasn't gonna talk about it, did you? Some of these politicians think that if they're elected, they're going to cause white people to pay repercussions for the slavery of black people in America. So in California and other places, they're going to take some of their funding and they're gonna give money to black folks because way back when their great grandparents in the eighteen fifties suffered as slaves. And and these slave owners and white people need to pay them back. Do they know that black people had slaves too? Yeah. And black people sold black people as slaves, and Irish, my heritage, had slaves. And then probably one of the greatest injustices was the indigenous people in America, the Indians. Right? The Native Americans. The Native Americans. Can we call them Indians? Indigenous? Native Americans? So the the slaughter of all the buffalo, the giving them blankets with smallpox Yep. Mhmm. Smallpox type of diseases that their DNA couldn't handle that people bring in, you know, Europeans and stuff bring in. And so, basically, a genocide. But today, they're getting even because all the retired white people are going to casinos. Right? So they're they're getting all their money back. Right? And, so it's a now there used to be a thing in the Christian world called promise keepers, and they had the audacity to try and make white men feel guilty because of how black men were treated. Not treated presently, treated in the past. And so, basically, a black man has anger supposedly and looks at white people as the as holding them down, suppressing them, 13% of the people in America being black. And and so Martin Luther King and the, you know, the effort that they did that was done in the sixties in America to remove systemic prejudice is absolutely 100% a righteous move. That's wrong, and we all applaud that effort. And as few black persons have told me, there is no such thing as systemic racism in America anymore. But the liberals would like to raise that up as a means of dividing white against black, brown, red, whatever, and to create a communistic kind of a race war. And after this election, we might see some of that as justification for the you know, what was the justification for pulling down all the statues last time around? You know? Antifa and Black Lives Matters and all those things. It's it's hatred. But it's a it's an organization of George Soros and these people that are just trying to create hate hatred. In this chapter here, part of what's happening is the children are saying, you know, suffering because of the sins of the parents. And so he says, the word of the Lord came unto me again saying, what mean ye that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel saying, the fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge. So my problem is I'm an alcoholic because my dad was an alcoholic. And and I'm cursed today, for perpetual poverty because, because of my dad's sins, because of my mom's sins. And, so the child children are suffering because of the parents' sins. And God says, no. I'm not punishing any of the children. I'm punishing right now those that are alive. And part of it is because of your parents before you, but it's over a course of a period of time of rebellion against me. So it's it's not like this present generation is innocent, and the the judgment that's coming on them is because previously, the previous generation was the ones that were so wicked. So in Jeremiah thirty one twenty nine, Jeremiah said it this way, behold the days come, saith the Lord. No. That isn't it. Jeremiah thirty one twenty nine. Thirty one twenty nine. Of 29, thirty one twenty nine. In those days shall they say no more, the fathers have eaten a sour grape and the children's teeth are set on edge. But everyone shall die for his own iniquity, and every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge. So the Lord's saying the Lord said individual responsibility. I'm not responsible for anybody but myself. Right? And I can't even I can't even make my children, you know, follow the lord. My parents, no matter what sins they committed, no matter what things they they had done, it shouldn't come over and fall over or spill over, you know, into my life that somehow I have to pay reparations or that my life's trashed or, you know, worthless because of the people that went before me. And and so God doesn't operate in that way. Now in playing the blame game. So in Exodus twenty five and six, Exodus thirty four six and seven, Deuteronomy five nine, the Lord talks about when you sin, some of that sin will carry over into future generations. It's not an isolated thing. So we, on the flip side, we can enjoy a purse post World War two generation that's following Jesus. We, on the flip side of that, enjoy a lot of prosperity because of that. But then a hippie generation, a sexual revolution generation in rebellion against God. It takes a while, but presently, we're seeing the ramifications of a of a corrupted society. And as I look at my grandchildren, what kind of world do they have to live in? It's become so incredibly corrupt. But it's not God that's judging my grandkids. It's my sin and the sins of my generation that went unchecked that have corrupted things. And so the the the endeavor of the church is supposed to be salt and light to slow down and preserve the goodness of the culture. But if the salt has lost its savor, it's good for nothing but to be trodden under the foot, of men. So as I live, saith the lord god, you shall not have occasion anymore to use this proverb in Israel. It's a false proverb, and I don't wanna hear it. Somebody wanna read Romans three nineteen? And anybody want, Hebrews twelve nine? I'll do that one. K. And who wants Galatians three ten through 13? I'll take it. And first Corinthians ten twenty? I'll do it. Okay. Alright. So so Romans three nineteen. So you're not gonna have occasions anymore to use this proverb anymore. God's saying this is a false proverb. Anybody there? Romans three nineteen? Hebrews twelve nine? I got twelve nine. Okay. Go ahead. Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection onto father of spirits and live. Amen. So he's saying, you know, each each person's responsible. The father's discipline their kids, whom the lord loves, he chastens and scourges every son or daughter, but it's on an individual basis that, you know, that we're judged. Romans three nineteen. Romans three nineteen. Now we know that what things soever the law say it, it say it to them who are under the law that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty because god before god. Therefore Oh, go ahead. Therefore, by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight for by the law is the knowledge of sin. And so Romans three twenty three, all have sinned to come short of the glory of God. We're all guilty. Every single one of us are guilty. And if I find myself in a situation of living, you know, as an alcoholic or a drug addict or I got in trouble, went to jail, or I got in trouble for something I did, I can't play the blame game and blame my parents and say, I'm just cursed. I inherited the alcohol gene from my grandparents. My whole family were alcoholics, and I cannot be sober today because there's a gene that was passed down to me. There's a curse that passed down to me. No. If any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. The old things are passed away. All things have become new. And and I can I can from experience, coming from an alcoholic family, I can let you know that you have a choice? You have a choice to follow that pattern and perpetuate it, or you can learn from your parents' mistakes and not repeat them. Their sin shall not have dominion over you. And and so I do believe that in cases of sexual abuse and children that are mistreated in that way, I do believe in the present tense that there is a wiring in the brain that's messed up and a whole lot of things that God's gonna have to do miracles to as they grow and come into adulthood to be able to live a normal life. Their their their whole sexuality, the way they view intimacy gets skewed, and many of them unfortunately, you know, wind up moving in directions of the gay and the lesbian lifestyle. You'll find that many of them were abused as children, and and it's tragic. It's it is tragic. But there's nobody that sinned. There's nobody you know, I'm not I'm not a slave to any man. I'm not a slave to any action. Just because somebody does something to me, I'm nobody's victim. I will not play the victim. I will fiercely declare that if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. The old things are passed away. All things have become new. And Jesus, a part of my salvation breaks that bondage, breaks that barrier, breaks that fallen nature, whatever that habit is or whatever. So we have a choice. I don't have to. I'm not I'm not under the spell or under the control of anybody else, grandparents, aunts, uncles, no matter who, has been allowed in my life, I'm not gonna give in to psychology and play the blame game. And so that's the beauty. That's the whole beauty of being saved is the newness of life. Doesn't mean that all of the pain, the scars, and all the junk just immediately goes away. It just means that there's something greater now taking place in my life that causes, as my life goes on, these other things to pale in comparison as I get to know Jesus. Alright? That's five hundred and eighty six days. Praise the Lord. With the help of the Lord. Right? Yeah. Yeah. Five hundred and eighty six days. You are a blessing. I know. Yeah. Well, you know. You know you are. You know you are. No. You're blessed. So behold, all souls are mine as the as something of the father, so also the soul as the souls of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. So again, individual. The God's saying, I'm gonna judge individually. You can't play the blame game or blame your family for the life that you're living presently. Life's too short. Life's way too short to get caught up in that and to be mired, wasting time, mired in this self pity of, why, you know, we can't be productive. I would I would tell somebody, you know what? Work hard. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these other things be added unto you. And none of us like to have a ceiling. None of us like to be held back and, be held down. And if there's anybody being held down because they're a woman or because they're a man or white or nowadays it's if you're white, You know, the obviously, there's ways to rectify that if there's any kind of prejudice in the workplace or school, churches, whatever it may be. And but the Lord doesn't operate in that way. But if a man be just and do that which is lawful and right and has not eaten upon the mountain mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols in the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, neither has come near to an unclean woman. So if you've lived a life of purity and haven't indulged in the idolatry and all these other sins these people are committing, and has not oppressed any, but has restored to the dead her has pledged and has spoiled none by violence, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with his garment. He, that has not given forth upon interest neither has taken any increase that has withdrawn his his hand from iniquity and has executed true justice between man and man, has walked in my statutes and has kept mine ordinances to deal truly, he is just, he shall surely live saith the Lord God. So you're gonna have to be perfect. You're gonna have to live a perfect life, right, to reach that point right there. So we we have to look to Galatians three ten and thirteen. Who's who's there? Right here. Okay. For as many are so sorry. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. For it is written, cursed is everyone that continue not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them, but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. It is evident for the just shall live by faith, and the law is not of faith, but the man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. Alright. Did I give anybody, first Corinthians ten twenty? You did. I did. Okay. Ten twenty. But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God. And I would not that you should have fellowship with devils. Alright. So in their idolatry, it's it's a false religion, and they're actually offering these things onto onto onto demons. They're being deceived by demons. And and so the righteousness that we enjoy is a righteousness as a gift by grace through faith alone. The just shall live by faith. What's laid out here is God's looking at, okay, you wanna guys wanna judge me. Now here's the here's the area of behavior that'll bring you to a place where you're not gonna be judged. Unfortunately, we're never gonna be able to do all those things that he says there because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So the Old Testament believer that believes in Jesus would be looking future to the cross, that the cross is where their sins would be judged just as you and I. Meanwhile, they're trying to live a life that's pleasing unto God. And in the sacrificial system, there's an admission or confession, you know, that they're still sinners, and it's pointing future to one day Jesus being the lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world. So they're walking by faith. The gospel was before preached unto Abraham and he's looking future that God will provide a provision. And so Isaac saying, you know, father, we have the wood. Father, have the fire. We have the knife. But where is the lamb? God will provide self a lamb for the sacrifice. So the intention of the law was to stop every mouth and to point each and every person to Christ. That's the intention of the law. And we can't live according to the law. If a man tries to live according to the law, if he breaks the law one point, he's guilty of the whole law. All 613 precepts are making you and I guilty. So here, the Lord's holding the law out for him, and what he's wanting is for each individual to go to first John one nine. If we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Don't play the blame game with God. And don't blame God that he's unjust. Right? So that's the intention of the law. The just, those justified shall live by faith. And now James five one through six, notice how he says, and has not oppressed any, but has restored to the dead of his of his pledge, has spoiled none by violence, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment. He has not given, forth upon interest, neither has taken any increase that he has withdrawn his hands and iniquity has executed true and justice between man and man. So the love the Lord thy God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, all your strength, love your neighbor as yourself. And these two are all the law and the prophets. Right? So the expression, the out the outlay, the works, faith without works is dead. So you have faith. Now what are the works? How can we prove your faith? You're going to love your neighbor. And so turn to James chapter five. Germs James. Germ. James. Germ. James. Lord bless Marco. So who's got a good reading voice to read these six verses? Rob wants to do it. Okay, Rob. Do you got a microphone there? People can hear it? Right there. Because there are some flat earthers out there, so be careful. That's me. Flat earther? Alright. I'll show you a picture of what I think it looks like. And the scripture? James five one through six. One through six. Go to now, ye rich men, weep and how I for your mis miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered and the rest of them shall be witnessed against you. You shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye shall weepest treasures together for the last days. Behold, the higher of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is your which you have kept back by fraud, crieth, and the cries of men of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabbath. Ye have lived in pleasures on the earth and have been wanton. Ye have nourished your hearts as in the days of slaughter. So James is speaking prophetically future to the rich people of of the tribulation period, about the day in which we're living and throughout history. So the they're lacking the love of loving. They wanted to be on the top, then everybody else, you know, just eat bugs and price of food and all these things. Exploitation and domination over the masses of people. And the lord of Sabiath, you know, according to James, is gonna deal with the rich oppressors. And so here in chapter 18, he's describing the way that people have been treated in one another, and that which is right and that which is evil. Verse nine, has walked in my statutes and has kept mine ordinances to deal truly, he is just. So what's it mean to be just? He shall surely live, saith the Lord God. So he's not guilty. He's just. He's doing good. And and so we wanna look at Habakkuk two four, the just. There's a phrase in the Bible four times. The just shall live by faith. Shannon read it in Galatians, but who wants Habakkuk two four? Two one through four. Habakkuk. Okay. Steve. And then, Romans one seventeen. Romans one seventeen. Okay. You got it, Thomas. Galatians three eleven. I'll do it. Hebrews ten thirty eight. I'll do that one. We're just gonna repeat the same verse. Gonna repeat it, But there's a lesson here. So in Habakkuk, the occasions the prophet is talking about the judgment that's coming. And the prophet Habakkuk just can't fathom that God would use a more ungodly nation than Israel to judge Israel. How could you possibly use the Babylonians? Look at look at the idolatry. Look at the evil of of Babylon. And and, you know, it's it's just hard for Habakkuk to to process the thought of what God's showing him and and that Babylon's gonna gonna judge. And, he says, why do you show me iniquity and cause me to behold the grievance and spoiling and violence are before me? And there are those who rise up strife and contention. Therefore, the law is slack and justice does never go forth. For the wicked does compass about the righteous. Therefore, justice goeth forth, perverted. And God says, behold among the nations and regard wonders marvelously for I will work a work in your days, which you will not believe though it be told you. For I will raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land and possess the dwelling places that are not theirs. They're terrible and dreadful. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. Their horses and he goes on to describe this. And, Habakkuk's just overwhelmed and the lord you know, he's chapter two. I will I will stand upon my watch and set myself upon the tower and watch and see and what will say unto me, and I will shall answer, when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me and said, write the vision and make it plain upon tablets that he may, run that reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak and not lie though it tarry. Wait for it because it will surely come it will not tarry. So timing is so important to these prophecies. And and here's what the Lord says to Habakkuk. Steve. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith. So you don't understand. You I'm gonna do a work that you wouldn't believe me if I told him. It's a work of judgment, a work of judgment against his own people. You wouldn't believe me if I told you. You don't have all the information. It's for an appointed time. Kinda like when the Lord's speaking to Daniel in chapter 12. Write it up, Daniel, for it's not at this time. It it's for a time later. And, it's hard for the prophet to understand, you know, all the ramifications thereof. When Jesus telling his disciples, hey. I'm gonna be crucified. They they don't get it at that time in the present tense. It's hard for them to fathom, hard for them to understand. Later, they after the resurrection, you know, they have a a a greater understanding of the necessity of Jesus and the prophetic picture of Jesus, going to the cross. All of a sudden, Psalm 22, it makes sense, and Isaiah 52, it makes sense to them, but they didn't see it prior to that. So the just shall live by faith is then carried over by the apostle Paul four times in the New Testament. And so in Romans one seventeen, what's it say there? Okay. Romans one seventeen. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written. The just shall live by faith. Okay. So he put the the emphasis upon shall, but, unfortunately, that's not where it belongs. In Romans, it belongs on the just. That's where the emphasis is because he's he's showing that justification. I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it's the power of God unto salvation. Everyone that believes to the Jew first and also the Gentile for therein within the gospel, the rights of God revealed as it's written, the just shall live by faith. So justification is by faith. And and then Galatians three eleven. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of god. It is evident for the just shall live by faith. Okay. So to the church of Galatia, that phrase, the emphasis upon shall live, because the church of Galatia was being seduced by Judaizers that walking by faith, and and they were bringing them back under the law, living according to the law. And Paul asked the question, have it begun in the spirit? Have you been made perfect, you know, in the flesh of trying to keep the law now? You know? So he didn't want the Judaizers getting in their mixing law with grace. And so you're living. You're gonna have to live according to this this this new way and the freedom that you've already have. So the just shall live. Don't be falling back into legalism, and live the life of the spirit, the emphasis upon the spirit. Okay. And then Hebrews ten thirty eight. Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure in him. So the emphasis here is by faith. And as you look to the Hebrews, what was happening with the Hebrews at this time is they were falling back into Judaism so as to avoid persecution. So they're trying to live like Jews and still believe in Jesus so that the Jews wouldn't persecute them. So it's a letter to the Hebrews, and the emphasis here is by faith. The just shall live by faith. So my soul has no pleasure in those who draw back. That word draw back is Greek word. You're drawing back. You're falling away from the faith, the truth of the faith. So he gives example then in chapter 11. How many times? By faith. By faith. By faith. By faith. By faith. So the just shall live by faith. Justification, salvation is given to us by grace through faith alone. And that's the emphasis here. So by faith, you gotta come by faith. Verse 10. If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth like to anyone these things, and that doeth not any of those, duties, but even has eaten upon the mountains and defiles his neighbors. So now you've got a son that's disobedient. You've one son, the son of the prodigal. He's a good boy. He's at home and he's every he's done everything right. You got the other son that went out and lived riotously, spent all of his money, and and he's the prodigal. He's gone away. Has oppressed the poor and needy and is spoiled, by violence. So he's he's a robber and has not restored the pledge and has lifted up his eyes to the idols and has committed abominations, has given forth upon interest and has taken in increase, shall he, then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations. He said he shall surely die. His blood shall be upon him. So the sinner, his blood is upon his own head, not upon his dad, his parents, or, you know, kids or anybody else. You're gonna you're you're responsible for your own actions. And parents can be held liable for a minor if, for instance, they had a weapon in the home and they didn't lock it up properly. And so the courts would render that as you didn't protect them from it, and so they could be called into court in that case. But, so there's some instances of parental responsibility, to protect children from hurting themselves. And, but the parents don't have to, in God's eyes, they're not gonna be condemned to hell for their children becoming, you know, criminals, living a criminal lifestyle. And What if they let them live that criminal lifestyle and didn't care? Well, if you know, the objective of the parent is to instill the fear of God in the child. And if the child doesn't respect the parent, the parental authority in the home, then what's the parent to do? Then what happens is the police are gonna be the next tier, the next tier of authority, and they don't carry the sword in vain. So they'll lock them up. They'll go to juvie court, then they'll go to regular court. They'll wind up living you know, in prison because they don't obey the law. Not anymore. And and then after that, they come to Christ. They get to know Jesus in that prison cell. They get sober. They're off the meth. They're off all the junk. They confess their sins. God forgives them of their sins, but the courts will still keep the crimes that they committed, you know, the sentence, if you will, so they still have to live out the sentence of of what took place prior to that. So notice your blood shall be up be upon their own their own selves. So this is this is an important thing, like like Sharon's alluding to. Their blood's not on my hands if I've warned them. Your blood is not on me if I've warned you. If I've made sure that I've taken you through the bible and given you the full counsel of God in acts 20, Paul said, I'm innocent of the blood of each and every person here. God's not gonna hold me accountable because night and day, I cease not to bring forth the full counsel of God. So the blood comes back upon you. You're the one that's rejecting and, instruction. In acts chapter 18 verse six, Paul said that, to the Jews there that weren't listening to him. He said, it's alright. I'm gonna go to the Gentiles. Your blood's upon you. And, in acts twenty twenty six twenty seven, he said it to the Ephesian elders there on the island of Melita. And then in Ezekiel three eighteen and nineteen, we've covered this, talking about being a watchman, the responsibility we have as as watchmen to warn people of the coming days and coming judgment that's happening. So we're we're compelled to go out and we're commanded to go out and to share the gospel, and we can't make people believe. So in Ezekiel three eighteen, when I say unto the wicked, thou shalt surely die, and thou givest him not warning, nor speaks to warn the wicked upon his wicked way to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will require at your hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked and he turns not from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered your soul. So we have a responsibility to share the gospel and to warn people of impending judgment, that judgment's coming. And we show them, the kindness of God in Romans two verse four. It's the kindness of God that leads a man to repentance. So the kindness is is that God and his love for them sent his son to die upon the cross of Calvary so that they don't have to spend an eternity in hell. But if they reject the kindness of God, the goodness of God, the good news of God, and they choose to go to hell by rejecting Jesus, then their blood's not upon me. When God judges, their blood's upon their own head because they're without excuse. They're never gonna be able to say, nobody told me. Nobody told me. I never knew this. But even beyond that, they're still not innocent because if they're in Romans one, they're guilty from the standpoint of creation. They're without excuse. Simply, god will evaluate them. Were you seeking the god of creation? Were you going against your conscience when you're committing murder and lying and all that because I wrote my law within your heart. And, to become a reprobate means you're going against the conscience that God's given you, and you're going against the information he's provided. You're going against the laws of, creation. And you rather than worshiping the creator, you worship and serve the creature. So now you're worshiping the devil, falling into idolatry. And as Rob read earlier in first Corinthians 10, that which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice it unto demons, you know, and not unto God. So it's a slippery slope. Now in in chapter 33, the Lord will also say once again this emphasis upon being a watchman and the blood upon them on their own head. Alright. So now, lo, if he begot a son that sees all of his father's sins, which he has done and considers and does not likewise, so that that you might you might have a father that's a criminal. You might have a father that is a drunk, raging lunatic, mistreating your mom. You might have a mother that, was promiscuous, and, you might have uncles and aunts and people in your family that do wrong things, but it doesn't mean that you don't have a choice. So for me, let's just say this again. You're gonna have to hear this over and over and over again because this is a crucial truth that I learned in my life. I wanted to be married. My mom's married seven times, and I did not have what it takes to be married. And and there was a frustration in dating girls. I was into girls, not boys. And and lots of girlfriends, and and then I meet Kathy, and I fall in love. And I want it to work, and it doesn't work. Just can't work. And more girls come along, and I, date some other girls, but I still love Kathy. And I just couldn't do it. So when I was observing my mom and her lifestyle and my dad and and all them, I knew what not to do, but I didn't know what to do. I didn't know the positive. I didn't know how it works. So I moved in with a friend of mine and his family when in my senior year of high school, and his mom and dad were very much in love. And they had a good marriage, and there's a lot of laughter and a lot of kindness and courteousness, and they weren't Christians. And they'd watch sitcoms and just laugh and laugh and laugh. No alcohol, no drugs, hardworking, fair, honest, just, and compassionate. And I looked at their marriage and I thought, you know, that that looks really good, but I don't know how to do that. I just don't know how to do it. And so, anyway, I got saved. And when I got saved, the Lord began to teach me the how to and gave me another chance with Kathy. And, basically, the how to is die to self. That's what marriage is, is death to self. And if you're willing to die, love your your wife like Christ loved the church and gave himself for her, then she is able to respect and follow the leadership of Jesus if he's the head of the home. If Jesus is the head of the home, then she's able to follow her husband as he's submissive to Jesus in the home. And so that's the secret, is doing it God's way. So sometimes you're at that that place where I'm living in a party house, and I'm doing doing tiny bit of drugs, tiny bit of cocaine, not very much, and spending the weekend in the room with alcohol and drugs, girls and stuff like that. And I start to paddle out on Sunday morning to go surfing, and I turn my my head to clear my nose and blood comes out. So at that point, I never did any more cocaine. Why? It's a dead end. I knew from that experience not to go any further into that. And that's part of the way we learn is through pain, through trial and error. Some people don't listen to those lessons. They don't they don't follow that. So I'm not a glutton for punishment. I don't wanna keep beating my head against the wall. I don't like pain. I don't like punishment. I don't like to get in trouble. And so in high school, I didn't smoke I didn't smoke pot in high school. All my friends were smoking pot. I didn't wanna get in trouble. I didn't have a mom and a dad that were gonna back me up if I did get in trouble, so I had to be really good. I had to make sure that that I didn't get in trouble. So that's my little little story from that standpoint. But it was when Jesus came into my life that began to not only teach me but empower me and continues to teach me, empower me to live the Christian life. That's the secret. That has not eaten up upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel and has not defiled his neighbor's wife. So he he hasn't been he's been sexually pure. He hasn't gone out into the groves and interacted sexually in the idolatrous practices of the heathen, nor has he locally, where he lives, messed around with his neighbor's wife. Neither has oppressed any has nor withheld the pledge, neither has spoiled by violence, but has given his bread to the hungry and has covered the naked with a garment. And so he's ministering unto the poor and ministering to those around him. He's doing good things. Who wants to read Luke fourteen twelve and thirteen and, Luke nineteen eight? Who wants Luke fourteen twelve and thirteen? Fourteen, twelve, and 13. Okay. Yeah. And one of the companies said unto him, master, speak to my brother that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, man, who made me judge or divider over you? And he said unto them, take heed and beware of the covenantness for a man's life considereth not the abundance of the things which he possesses. And so it's, the covetous between the brothers there and unwillingness to to share and to minister unto the poor. Luke nineteen eight in regard to Zacchaeus, half my goods. Oh, go go ahead. And Zacchaeus stood up and said unto the lord, behold, lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. Praise the lord. Okay. So being a tax collector, he probably defrauded people, and now he's, repenting of that and willing to give it give it back. So he's taken off his hand from the poor that he has not received interest nor increase not so supposed to charge interest, usury to your brothers. He has executed mine ordinances, has walked in my statutes. He shall not die for the iniquity of his father. He shall surely live. And so, as for his father, because he cruelly oppressed and spoiled his brother by violence and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in this iniquity. So, you're responsible for your own sin. Verse 19, yet say ye, why does not the son bear the iniquity of the father when the son has done that which is lawful and right and has kept all my statutes and has done them, he shall surely live. So there's freedom, there's liberty for each person, each individual person that chooses to obey God. The son that sinneth, it shall surely die. So each individual is responsible for their own actions. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. So this idea of reparations, it doesn't originate in the bible. It's you're not you don't you're not guilty before god and have to go back and pay people because their great great grandparents, were mistreated. There's no excuses. There's no blame. Each person's responsible for their own life. And if if my life sucks and I'm a loser, then I need to come to grips with, I'm just a loser. You know? Work harder. Work smarter. Do something. But you're never gonna get anywhere blaming somebody else. It's just a recipe for wasting time. And working by the sweat of your brow and doing something, no matter where you gotta start, even if you have to start at the bottom, there's such great dignity in it in that as you're following the Lord, like Joseph, you know, you can start in the prison and wind up in the palace. You know? And that's been the hope of many that have come to America is that you're not suppressed. You're not held down. You can in a generation of time, you can set your children up, your grandchildren up, and have an enormous jump of quality of life as a result of the freedom. Nothing holding you down. All it requires is some hard work. And work is not a hard work is not a negative term. You know? It's a good thing. And you can start a business. Land of opportunity. Right? Amen. And one of the things I bring to mind to people is how long does it take the Vietnamese when they come to Westminster, California in the seventies and they can't speak the language, how long it does it take their culture to prosper? Three months. Not three months. They all live in one house. They all work hard. Their children become the valedictorians. They learn the language. They open businesses, and they take off strip centers. Pretty soon, it's a tie store, then it's a laundry store, and then it's a haircutting, nail salon, and right on down the line. And as a community, they help each other, and and they work their way out of the poverty. And a generation or two later, you know, it's amazing. It's amazing the opportunities that they have. And they came through a communist regime, flown over to America, starting from the, you know, ground zero. And if they were to play the blame game, they wouldn't get anywhere. And same is true with the Chinese, the Taiwanese, all these different ethnic groups, Mexicans, all the different ethnic groups that come to America that many come with nothing, not even able to speak the language. The contractors today that come up to Seattle here that do construction. Many of these guys are second generation from South America that started at the bottom in these trades. And now they're business owners, and they're coming up here, and they're making really good money doing decks and roofs and all those skills that a lot of the white guys don't wanna do anymore because they don't wanna work. They don't wanna work. They don't wanna do the hard work. So there's opportunity. But Twenty years ago, I used to deliver to people who couldn't speak English whatsoever, and and they knew that they needed a c it was c a COD, and they needed a cashier's check. And literally three months later, they would you know, they'd pay the cashier's check, didn't speak any English, and I'd come back. Three months later, it was learn to speak English tapes. And those people were so excited to talk to somebody who knew English the next time they saw They were like, getting my second friend here. You know? And we got it easy. We typically only know one language. Many of those that live here know several languages. Right? My neighbor knows five. There you go. It's crazy. Alright. So it's just a dead end to be blaming somebody else. And that was 25 years ago. Yeah. They could learn English in three months. Bam. I I came from, my mom was on welfare, and the greatest day of my life one of the greatest days of my life was that very first job I got at Anthony's Fish Grill in Mesa, California. I became rich overnight. I had what's called discretionary income where you got more money than you need, and it was simply because of working and living at home with no rent or anything yet. You know? You know? It was glorious. I bought a car within just a few months. Do you know the freedom I enjoyed? And that's what I began to discover as, guy, I don't I don't need to, you know, I don't need to go to the store and be ashamed because I can't buy a steak to go to the football father son steak barbecue. My dad's not with me, And I go and I put this steak on there that I got with my mom's welfare stuff, and she was in between husbands. And I put it on the grill, and there's this guy there with his dad. And his dad says, what the hell is that? And I wanted to crawl into a hole because I didn't know even know how to buy a steak. I bought the one that was cheap and, what do you call it, marinated. It was being marinated. Well, I didn't know the ones marinated were the ones that are ready to throw away that that you know? I didn't even know what a rib eye was yet. So so when you see me pull up to a rib eye, you know, there's a reason behind all all of these things. You know? And so but working is a great thing. You can go buy your own steak. You know? I can buy 10 of them if I want. You know? So that's an exciting thing that God helps us to to as as the farmer, if we're willing to till the ground and plant the seed and water it, know, God allows it to bring forth fruit. He allows an abundance. And in that abundance, we have some left over to share with others who are sick and unable to work and and that sort of thing. So that's the way it happens. So the soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall his father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. So anytime I hear a promise keeper's thing or anytime I hear about within Christian people trying to pull this out again, it's happened two or three times, I just go right to this verse. It's real clear. I don't write it on Facebook. Nope. Right here it says, the kid's not responsible for the sins of the father. And after a little while, people start to quote it and requote it, and it starts to spread on Facebook. And it just you know, it should be able to quiet people down from the that kind of a what they would call social justice. We've got a social gospel and social justice. We're gonna try and go back and make everything right. All the wrongs we're gonna make right. You can't do that. It's over, and, it's time to it's time to, do what's right presently. So but if the wicked will turn from all of his sins that he has committed and keep all my statutes and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely he shall surely live. He shall not die. So that's you and I. That's the gospel right there. If we do what's right, if we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin. If we turn from our sin and we cry out to God and we cry out to him, Lord, I need a savior. God, be merciful to me a sinner. That's where our life is transformed and changed. All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him in his righteousness that he has done, he shall live. And so Psalm a 103 verse 12 says he's gonna take my sins and he's gonna obliterate them. He's gonna cast them to the east to west, remember them no more. Right? What's what's that? And so there's no mention of wrong. It's done. It's gone. And transgressions and heal all your diseases. Amen. And who wants to read Romans eight one and Micah? Here's a really nice one. I love this one. This is a Corrie ten Boom quote. Who wants Micah seven nineteen? I'll take it. K. You love Corrie ten Boom. Right? Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place. You gotta you gotta watch that you gotta read the book and watch the movie. Next time yeah. A movie called The Hiding Place. You're gonna love it. There's so many things. Have you seen The Thief in the Night yet, the old ones? No. Oh, have you seen The Robe? No. Oh, you got to. Victor Mature? Have you seen the 10 commandments? No. Have you seen Ben Hur? Yes. No. Oh, come on. Alright. Alright. Saw that part that you saw of those. Okay. The Ben Hur where he's in the boat. Who wants Proverbs twenty eight thirteen? And, first John one nine, Thomas. Luke twenty four forty seven. Luke what? Twenty four forty seven. That's the end of Luke, isn't it? And we got one hundred and three twelve. We did that. Right? Cast your sins east to the west. Romans eight one, there's now therefore, and Stephen has that. And then Micah seven nineteen. And who wants, first Timothy two verse four? Okay. K. Alright. So, first John one nine, if we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Proverbs twenty eight thirteen. Proverbs twenty eight thirteen. He that covereth his sin shall not prosper. Steve so confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. So what's it mean to try and cover your sin cover your sin, Steve? Well, let's see. Cover your sin. Look at the contrast there in the verse. Look at the contrast noise. Into a closet and drinking alcohol. And and then you're coming out and smiling and praising the lord. That's a good example. It's you're trying to hide your sin, trying to justify, blame somebody, not come to terms with your own sin. You're trying to lie and think that nobody's seen. Moses reminds us that our sin will find us out. David tried to cover his sin. What does that mean cover? What did David try to cover up? A cover up. Cover up. Mhmm. Right? A cover up. And the Lord sent Nathan the prophet and said, you're the man. Right? A year later, David was miserable from being an adulterer and a murderer. He defiled one of his closest friend, Ahithophel. Ahithophel's granddaughter was Bathsheba. And so he wanna lie with her. Go get her. I want her. And he's got a harem of women. And then she gets pregnant. And Uriah, the Hittite, one of his mighty men murders him. Complicated. And then he thought he got away with it. Right? And then God in his grace and mercy. And David in Psalm thirty two thirty eight and fifty one describes what it was like that year of cover up. He was miserable. You're miserable as a believer if you try to cover your sin. The guilt. The therapist, their business is based upon guilt. They try to alleviate the guilt by transferring the guilt from you. It's your parents' fault. Take it from you, it's your dad's fault the way you're raised. That's the job of a therapist. Remove that guilt somehow. You know, hey, Rick. You're fat because somebody's somebody gave you maple syrup in the bottle when you're a little kid. You got fatter cells. You know? Rick, they're forcing it down your mouth. That's why you're fat, man. And if they just wouldn't force all that food down your mouth, at a certain point, you gotta say, you know, it's my fault. You got a job. I like to eat. Quit playing the blame game, Steve. Well, there's sin involved there, and God part of God's punishment against David is that he'd take the child home to be with him. And that passage is one we all use for the point of he's fasting, he's praying, and God makes the decision to take the child home. David cleans himself up. And part of what comes out of that that we learn is that I can't be with the child now, but I'll be reunited. Amen. And so that's the that comforts our heart, any abortions, any infant deaths, and all that. But there was a discipline taking place where the Lord was not gonna let David enjoy. Psalm a hundred and twenty seven three, the fruit of the womb is his reward, wasn't gonna reward him for his infidelity and all that. So I don't wanna go that would be very cruel to try and go down a list of people and identify instances where and you can't just can't go there. You just can't do that. You can't put that kind of guilt or a head trip on people that they lost a child because of their own disobedience. That's that's cruel. That's wicked. I mean, that's that's just that goes too far. But in David's case, it's real clear. It's a public example. And so I ate a whole key lime pie last week by myself. Mhmm. You're confessing? Yeah. Oh, okay. All last week. Did you run on the treadmill for three hours? No. No? Okay. But it was really You you could have made up for it. Well, that's good. You you don't wanna be remarried, do you? No. Oh, okay. No. No. Alright. Then you can do whatever you I can do whatever you want. Praise the lord. I'm so happy I don't have to take care of anybody. So Psalm a hundred three twelve, he takes our sins, he casts from the east to the west, remembers them no more. Right? So there are no record of wrong, no remembrance. They're never gonna bring it back up to you. And Romans eight one, there's now therefore no condemnation. Those are in Christ Jesus who walked not over the flesh but after the spirit. And here's the one I love so much. Micah seven nineteen. He will turn again. He will have compassion upon us. He will subdue our iniquities, and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. So all of your sins are cast into the depths of the sea. You got the picture there. And what does Cory Ten Boom do to that, Kathy? Cast all of our sins and cast them in the depths of the sea. And what was she quoted as saying that God then does? He puts a sign there and says no fishing. No fishing. So in our lives, in our marriages, in our relationships, don't go fishing. God's not gonna go fishing and bring it back up. So don't go fishing and pull up sins of the past. Amen. And right? Amen. If he says he's cast from the East to the West and remembers them no more, we need to remember them no more. That's the whole point of forgiveness. That's what it means to separate the sin from the sinner and send it away. That's the scapegoat. Right? That's the one that goes out in the wilderness. It's a picture of of forgiveness. God taking the sin and sending it away. Alright. Anybody did first Timothy two four, but that's okay. Alright. Go ahead. Who will have all men to be saved and to come onto the knowledge of the truth? Amen. So all his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned on him and his righteousness. And he has done, he shall live. And as he says here, I have I have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die, saith the Lord, Lord God, and not that he should return from his way and live. Does God take pleasure in condemning people to hell? No. He doesn't. Does God condemn people to hell? No. No. No. Condemn themselves. Themselves. They And so god says, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn, turn from their sins. Repentance. Luke twenty four forty seven, when the Lord sent the disciples out, he sent them out with a message of teaching the people to repent. That's part of the gospel is to repent, turn from your sin. But the church growth movement, the seeker friendly, the let's just fill the church up with unbelievers, we don't wanna offend them. We don't wanna mention the word sin, and we don't wanna judge because don't judge, man, unless you be judged. And, you know, love, man. Love wins. We can do whatever we want. We've got the license to do whatever we want. Nobody can question anything I'm doing, but they leave out repentance. They you need to turn from your sin. Luke twenty four forty seven. You already had it, Rob? Yep. And the repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all the nations beginning in Jerusalem. So that's the great commission. Mhmm. And that's what's missing from the gospel today is challenging people to turn from their sins and turn unto God. Make the one eighty. Ray Comfort, you know, wrote a book and has a whole thing. One eighty. It's a one eighty turn. You're going the way of the world, now you turn back. So so second Peter three nine, God is long suffering, unwilling that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. So a hyper Calvinistic view here, an erroneous hyper Calvinistic view would be what? Would be there's election, selection, there's the free moral agency of each person having a choice. And in a hypercalvinistic view, they will emphasize election and foreknowledge and predestination, and they'll take carry it over to a place where it makes God look cruel in that he's predestined certain people, limited atonement. Limited atonement. It's an atonement only for those, you know, elected. And there's others that weren't elected that are ordained to hell, and that's a false doctrine. God's long suffering not willing that any would perish, but that all, all means all, would come to repentance, not just the elect. And so we teach both. We teach in John six. We teach, no man can come unto me except the father who has sent me draw him, and I'll raise him up at the last day. That's election. Jesus said, you didn't choose me, but I chose you. Right? Amen. But there's also human responsibility where Jesus says, and all that come to me, I'll know is cast out. Amen. So have you tried coming? Well, I can't become a Christian because I don't know if I'm the elect. Have you tried? Jesus said, all that come to me, I'll know why is cast out. Right? So the ball's in your court. Verse 24. But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? So this is eternal security. Let me give you a phrase that's not in the bible. Once saved, always saved. Have you ever heard that one? Let me ask it a different way. Can a Christian lose their salvation? Let's hear. Feedback. Now's the time to talk. Okay. Rob says not if he's a Christian. Rob says if he's a Christian, he can't lose his salvation. One person said What made you like a dog? Okay. One at a time. Shannon's asking What if you turn back and back to your vomit and go back to your ways of living in sin and turn your back on god? Is that in the bible? First John chapter two? Yeah. Yeah. So a dog to its vomit, she's asking. What happens when a dog goes back to its vomit or a sow to its wallowing in the mire? What's what is that a picture of? They went out from us, but they weren't of us. Of us. Right? Had they been of us, they continued with us. So we got people that profess that they believe in Jesus. Right? And then for whatever reason, some of them how many of the people that you started out with as Christians are still walking with the Lord? One person says, you can't I think I heard this on CSN. You cannot nobody can snatch you out of your hand, but see, they said you can jump out. Jump out like a frog. God's gonna give me a armrest when they get you to heaven, you know? Jump out like a frog, man. Alright. So so if we were to take a a Hillary pig and we were to scrub that pig up and put a wig on it and some lipstick and bring them to church, what's the nature of that Hillary pig? What are they wanting to do more than anything else? Wallow. Go back in the pigpen. Right? So that's part of how we know, to answer Shannon's question, is they haven't they don't have a new nature. They still have the old nature. So we would say they haven't been born again. Right. They professed outwardly to believe in God, but in works, the outgrowth of their life, they deny him. Their works deny them. Deny faith. Faith without works is dead. So if any man be overtaken Vicky? Whitewash. Have a black heart. Whitewash. Yep. Your sin will find you out. Now anybody else have any other thoughts there? Can a Christian lose their salvation? Rob says no. No. And Shannon says, well, how do we know they're Christian? Well, they went to wallow in the mire and the dog to the vomit. That's an indicator they weren't a Christian. So how do you know that Lot was a Christian? How would you know before you had that verse? And incest with his daughters. How do you know Lot's even saved? So a righteous man. Right? Wasn't he considered righteous even though he was So what I'm saying, how would you know that? The only thing he has to go on is faith. Word said it. That's right. That's right. The only thing you have to go on is faith. So but when the righteous turns away, so you're you're you're this Christian, and you're going to church, and you're doing these things, and then you stand before the Lord. Matthew seven, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not do many mighty miracles and things in your name? And what did he say to you? I knew you now. Away I knew you. Away from me, I never knew you. Go forward. Go more. You that practice and there you go. If you say if we're if we're in first John and we say we have no sin, we're a liar and the truth isn't in us, all of us continue to sin. The keyword in first John is practice or in the King James, committeth. So it's a lifestyle of sin. So let me give you an illustration of doctor J. Edwin Orr when I pulled out his tape on repentance. I was very frustrated when I was in school ministry because there was a teacher there that spoke of born again lesbians. And and they had they had a communication problem, and they came in for marital counseling. So, hey, when you guys become pastors and you have two women come in and they want counseling for poor communication in their marriage, how are you gonna handle that? And I raised my hand and I says, well, doc, I counseled them that they need to be born again. No. No. They're born again. They're born again. And I'm sorry, doc. Sorry, doc. And then they you know, they're committing sin. They're practicing sin. And he says, oh, what difference is that than gluttony? Looking at me, the fat guy. And and I'm ready to squeeze his neck, pencil neck, you know. But but I said, well, they need to be born again, continuing in sin. So gluttony, I've had to study that. Gluttony is more of you're eating. It's not being overweight. When skinny people try to say you're a glutton because you're overweight, it's not being overweight. I got a thyroid problem. I got a hormonal problem. It can be overeating problem, not exercising. It can be a bad back. It can be you your appetite's big. But gluttony in the day, what that was, a wine bibber and a glutton, is you're eating and then you're purging. And then you're eating again simply for the pleasure of eating. And that was the practice of the Greeks and the Romans. That's a glutton. It wasn't so then I could carry that further in my argument with these people. And I say, well, what percentage of body fat was Jesus so that I can be perfect? How lean was Jesus on that cross when he hung there? Because everybody has varying degrees of body fat. So if we go down that road, Jesus said it not that which goes into a man that defiles a man, but that which comes out. It's the heart that matters. It's behavior. So so anyway, I had to deal with that. Right? On a personal level, I had to think that through. So doctor Jayden Renoir illustrated it this way. Billy Graham in 1949 had what's called the Hollywood Club, where he had a bible study in the Hollywood area in 1949 for a crusade that took there. There was a guy there, a music composer named Stuart Hamlin. Stuart Hamlin is is the home of where the bible study was, and Billy was the one teaching it. And this, Hollywood producer came in with a very young woman on his arm, his mistress. And they came in and they heard the gospel. And I needed to know the definition of repentance. Metanoia is a Greek word. I needed to understand what that means because I was concerned that Christians could be born again lesbians and homos and adulterers and continue in that lifestyle but still be saved? So what's that mean? I could continue to be unfaithful to my wife and do everything I want but still have my name written in the lens book of life? How's this work? So, anyway, he described a picture of repentance in that the both of them came to Christ. The producer and his girlfriend came to Christ that night. And the woman went home and changed the locks on her door. That's repentance. It was it was an apartment that he had for her that, you know, that he had a key to. And when he came back and saw that the locks were changed, he confessed he had no desire to go forward with this Christianity. That's not what he signed up for. So one is an illustration of stopping what you're doing, going to the Lord, and living a lifestyle, a change transformed lifestyle, a desire for holiness. And then the other, just a profession of faith, but no fruit thereof. Nothing nothing there. So we all sin. We all fall, but the believer is not gonna continue in sin, not gonna practice sin, not gonna continue in a lifestyle of sin. And, now we gotta talk about the prodigal son or daughter. They ask Jesus in their heart. They're baptized. They break bread. They believe. Their belief system's clear. It's it's it's just crystal clear. And but they walk away from the Lord for a period of time. And how long? A period of time. If they're hit by a car, do we expect to see them in heaven, or did they lose their salvation? Did they ever have their salvation? So what pastor Chuck likes to say here with this verse is he's not going to provide anybody with a false sense of security. So the way that you deal with this as a believer is go to John chapter 15 where you abide with Jesus. If you abide with him, Jesus said, abide in me and I in you as a branch cannot bear fruit, except it abide in me. What you wanna do is you want a purpose in your heart to live as close to Jesus as possible, and Jesus said you'll know them by their fruit. If you're bearing fruit, then we know for a fact that you're saved. If you wanna gamble with your eternal salvation and live with a question mark over your life and find out on judgment day away from you, never knew you. That's up to you. But we don't wanna provide for people a false sense of security. So what we do is we bring them back to the scriptures of Galatians five, and we show the picture of the works of the flesh and the works of the spirit. Right? The works of the flesh are manifest, which are these. What are these, Thomas? And they that do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Right? Right. Or we take them to first Corinthians chapter six. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived. And then he goes into a whole list of sins, of lifestyle sins, neither adulterers, nor idolaters, nor the effeminate, nor the abusers of the self mankind, nor the covetous, nor whoremongers shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you in the past. Right? But you are Me. But you are sanctified, But you are justified. Right? So you've been transformed and changed, washed in the blood of the lamb, and that's not who you were. I'm not that person anymore. I'm a new Rick, not the old Rick. And so I'm not a drunky deep drunk. So here's the other thing too. If a person is prideful about their sin, once saved always saved, and I can go do whatever I want but I'm still I'm still saved. They're living with a question mark over their life. I don't wanna gamble and live like that. I want assurance of salvation, and the only way I have that assurance of salvation is abiding in Christ, staying in that place of fellowship with him. And now a Christian can be outside of fellowship, and the way back is first John one nine, the Christian bar of soap. If we confess our sin, which is agreeing with the Holy Spirit, not condemnation, but pointing me to the cross. If we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness and fellowship's restored. So all his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned in his what's it say there, Steve? In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned in them shall he die. So, again, responsibility. You walked with the Lord for a time, then you walked away. Were you really a believer? A lot of people you talk to, there there's a question mark. Really a I don't know if that person's really saved. My wife says that to me all the time. All the time. We've been doing this for thirty years, and some of the most nasty people we've ever met are in the church, and the fruit of the spirit is love. And you try to reach them, you try to reach them, you love them, you care for them, you do everything you can for them, and they're still nasty. And she says, Rick, I don't know if they're saved. It's sad, but it's true. It's true. So safe people don't act like that. What happened? What do you do? Exorcism? But but you can't you you're just not sure. You're just like, hey. They're they're they're the only way that that this could happen, the only way it would make sense is if they weren't a believer. Yeah. And and because infiltration, the devil infiltrates. If they don't you know, if they're worried about death, you know, they're worried you know? That's the primary thing is we're dead with Christ. And if they're have fear in that, then you wonder Yeah. Are you really saved? You know? And and then the other side of that is the nicest people I've ever met are in the church. It will happen simultaneously. It'll and and we have a really good group of people right now because because the way I preach, I just don't care what they think. So it filters them out. They get angry at me and they leave. So it's better for you. It's better for you that can weather that kind of abuse. You know? This is I'm not there to placate proud sinners. You know? We get more one on one. So yeah. There you go. So, anyway, I I feel like the lord is is purifying and sifting all the time within the church. And we had a lady give her heart to the lord on Sunday and that was very special, really exciting. And I hope you guys talk to her afterwards. And and well, we will next week, won't we? Yes. Alright. Yeah. And that's the proof. At Calvary Bremerton, it's not, hey, pastor. Look. There's a bunch of new people. It's always, oh, will they ever come back? Because new people show up all the time. For a year. Oh, I've been here three weeks. You know? Wow. Three weeks? You made it three weeks? What's your name? Now that you There you go. I agree. That's really I agree. Yet you say the way of the Lord is not equal. What's the way of the Lord? It's equal. It's the narrow path. Right? It's the narrow way. The way of the Lord is not equal. It's not fair. It's unfair. Well, the way of the Lord is Jesus. I'm the way. Right? It's the narrow path, not the broad path. It's the narrow path. The broad path leads to the destruction that many go in there at. And, so basically, the question, is God fair? Yes. Yes. Do you want God to be fair? I don't want a fair God. I don't want a fair God. I want a merciful God. So so these guys are saying, I'm not getting justice. I got a raw deal. Do you really want justice? Not for my purpose. Who who wants to read Job chapter 40 verse eight? Where were you in, Job? Who wants Job 40 verse eight or Zephaniah three five? Want Job. Okay. Who wants Romans three twenty? Okay. Did somebody take Zephaniah? I know. Did anybody go Zephaniah? I'll take Zephaniah three five? I'll take Zephaniah three five. K. And who wants a second Corinthians thirteen five? Okay. Okay? Alright. We're wrapping this up. We're gonna finish on time because we started on time. Okay. So, yeah, you say the way of the lord is not equal. Hear now, oh house of Israel. Is not my way equal? Are not your ways unequal? Alright. God's calling them out, isn't he? Alright. So is God fair? Lord, this is unfair. Lord, why? Why did you do this? And then you play the compare game. God, you're blessing them so much. Why are you doing this to me? My car's never run. My my car's always breaking down. If that's the worst thing going on in your life, you're doing pretty good. Alright. Okay. So Job 40 verse eight. I go. Vicky's favorite book is Revelation, and her second favorite book is Job. Is Job. This section. Yeah. Mhmm. It's true. Okay. The whole chapter there. Where were you in, Job? That's right. Four No. No. Eight. Yeah. Would you discredit my justice? Would you consider me to justify yourself? Turn that off. Yeah. Do you have an arm like God's, and can your voice thunder like his? Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor and clothe yourself in honor and majesty, unleash the fury of your wrath. So he's Yeah. He's he's saying, you're nothing like me. Yeah. So so where were you when when I hung the world on nothing? It's not a flat earth either, you know? You know? And and where were you when? And so he goes through with the Leviathan, Behemoth, and and Arcturus, and the stars out there in the galaxies, and and he he asked questions that Job can't answer. Now, the frustrating part or the part for many people is, have you considered my servant Job, man, perfect and upright in all of his ways? A man that fears God and excuse evil, and then all hell breaks loose against him. So Job is like, this is unfair. This is really unfair. Yeah. So in that being unfair, now it comes over to God and his character. Is God unfair? Is God unjust? Here's how I say it to people. You'll never hear God apologize. Yeah. Mhmm. Everybody wants an apology. I'm a victim. You can't talk you said buckle up, buttercup. That made me cry. You you need to you need to apologize. Everybody's offended in our culture. Everybody all the time. And yet these terrible things can be allowed to happen in our lives, and now we're gonna be the judge, and we're gonna judge God. And you know what, God? I heard one very prominent Christian writer. He wrote a book, and the gist of the book, the very end, when you're coming to why bad things happen to people, and they write books like bad things happen to good people, The whole topic is wrong. The whole thing is wrong because there's no good people. You know, which one How do you write that book? You know? Which one is good. And so his his his solution, if you feel like you're a victim and you've got a raw deal in life and these bad things happen, the solution is you need to forgive God. That's blasphemy. Yeah. That's your solution, mister psychiatrist? Forgive God? He's never done anything wrong. He's never gonna apologize. He's never gonna say, oops. He's just gonna say, you know what? If you want justice, you'll get hell. Gosh. You really want fair? You know? So, anyway, it's so topsy-turvy. It's so upside down. So thank you, Vicky. Zephaniah three five. The just lord is in the midst thereof. He will not do iniquity. Every morning doeth he bring his judgment to light. He faileth not, but the unjust knoweth no shame. And the religious leaders, they were they were scorched by Peter when he told them, and you crucified the just one. Right? Only one just guy. Romans three twenty. Who is Romans three twenty? Therefore, by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight. For by the law is the knowledge of sin. So you wanna live according to the law. You wanna live according to tit for tat. You know, you're gonna one, you can you can live a righteous life in in so many days. Like like, when you're in a works relationship with god, performance based on I got up this morning at at 06:30. I got up this morning at four in the morning. I'm really holy because I get up early. And I prayed for twenty minutes. And I read my bible for four, you know, forty minutes. And then I and then I blah blah blah blah, and you go through this whole thing. And I went to bible study. I went to church, and I gave. And then you crash. It's a roller coaster. It's based upon your performance. It's up and down, up and down, up and down. But when you when you exercise those disciplines, and they're good disciplines, but you exercise those disciplines by faith out of out of love for the Lord rather than performance, like he's grieving you, he's judging you, you know, then you're not in that works relationship according to the law, legal relationship. It's a love relationship. So so we wanna stay away from trying to do the work of the spirit in the arm of the flesh. Do it in the in the work of the spirit. Get up early if that's what you want, but don't pontificate and act like you're more holy than everybody because you get up at three in the morning or four in the morning. Because you know what? What I've discovered? Bible studies are in the evening. And you guys that boast about that, you fall asleep at 07:00. So there are night owls and there's early morning people. There's people that take naps each day now. Okay? So don't don't you know, I think it's great if you get up real early in the morning before the sun comes up. You know? They all that. Well, you're asleep before the sun goes down. You know? And I'm out preaching all night, and I'm driving home, getting home at eleven at night, and I haven't eaten yet. You know? You know I mean? So be careful of that. Should I bring a key light bulb? Anyway, those those are just just things that we do to each other. And so so when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and dies in them for his iniquity that he has done, shall he die? And so when I was an early Christian, one of the things I was really, really hard on people about, really hard, super hard, super hard. One time a guy got up out of the bible study, went in the room, and he came back with a stone. And on the stone, it was he wrote on it, he that is without sin cast the first stone. And he handed it to me. K. Here's something that makes me used to make me extremely angry inside. Bible says adulterers and fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God. Right? And if you look upon a woman, you've already committed adultery. If you're angry with your brother, you're already a murderer. So law condemns me. All of us are guilty. But when I call myself a Christian, one of the things that was really bothering me was the divorces. Can you imagine? My mom's married seven times. Now I'm a Christian, and I'm around a bunch of people that don't value their marriages, that are cheating on each other, committing adultery, sneaking around, make me so angry. And when they get caught or whatever, now there's an, you know, a divorce, and now they're just gonna slip into some other church and act like nothing happened. And then I'll carry it a step further. And then the guys I really revere and look up to, the pastors, are doing the same thing, divorcing, remarrying, staying in the ministry, and that's supposed to be the norm. Where do we get the audacity to judge anybody, to judge the world when that's the mess that's in the church? So I've had to back off that. It's kinda it's kinda so prevalent, and I've dealt with it. I've had to back off at it. So the new one I tackle, the new one I I challenge is pedophilia. I hope I hope and pray I hope and pray in my lifetime that it's not legalized and that the church come to the place where they grade on the curve. It's a slippery slope. Euthanasia, using using drugs to expire the elderly in the name of comfort, economics. So if Bill Gates wants to be god, if he wants to start a new religion based upon artificial intelligence, and you've been seeing him say that, he's demanding a new religion based upon AI, an AI religion, then my response to Bill is, Bill, if you wanna start a new religion, you need to go be crucified, buried for three days, and let's see if AI can raise you from the dead. Amen. Right? So when we're gonna question the fairness of God, then we better go out and start our own religion. And that's what Bill and the guys are doing. They're so prideful. Ful. They think that they're gods. They have a god complex. And God resists the proud and he gives grace to the humble. So when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and dies in them for his iniquity that he has done, shall he die. And so God's not mocked, whatsoever man sows that she also reap. And whom the Lord loves, he chastens and scourges every son or daughter. So there's gonna be there's gonna be a chastening that takes place if we as Christians practice sin. And I've discovered the Lord in his long suffering. He isn't real quick to come out there and judge any of us. The way that he judged Herod, he came after him and turned him into worms that day in in Acts chapter 12, which I wish would happen to every politician. You know? You know, he seems to be pretty long suffering. You know? And he puts up with an awful lot and I'm thankful for that that he's long suffering, that his fuse is really long, you know. And and I like in the book of Revelation when he's speaking to the seven churches, he speaks of, I've given you space for repentance. I like how the Lord sends the Holy Spirit to convict you and I of sin. Hey. That what you're watching is wrong. That what you're listening to is wrong. That person you're hanging out with is wrong. Those thoughts are wrong. And then he gives you space to repent. He's reasoning with you. He's talking with you. And I love how he'll show you the inevitability of your sin where it leads to. It's gonna lead to chastening. It's gonna lead to a divorce. It's gonna lead to shame. It's gonna lead toward alienation with your kids, your family. You're gonna lose. Sin corrupts. Sin destroys. Sin needs to be taken serious. So we look at we look at fire, and we can cook with it, and we can warm ourselves with it. And we can put it into the fireplace there and and in a positive way, use it in such a way that it benefits us. But if we let that fire out of that fireplace and it gets into the carpet and the drapes, and it's gonna destroy. And so too the passion, the fire of passion, sexual passion is designed by God to remain in a marriage between one man and one woman. And if you step outside those bounds, that fire, that passion, now it's destroying. Now it's destructive because it's outside the bounds of what God intended for it to be. So again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. So you're gonna avoid a lot of pain. You're gonna avoid a lot of pain by walking a life of obedience to the Lord. There's nobody that can walk with the Lord perfect obedience. It's the you're walking by faith. You're depending upon the perfection of Jesus. You're dependent upon he said it is finished. The work is complete. And you, when you fall, you confess your sin. You agree. You keep a short account. You don't cover it. You don't let it go seven days, seven weeks. David let it go a year, and he was miserable. Don't try to cover your own sin. Because he considers and turns away from all of his transgressions that he has commit committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die. So because you consider it, because you evaluate it, because you turn from it and don't continue in it, now we come to second Corinthians thirteen five. That's me. K. Examine yourselves whether ye be in faith, prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves. How that Jesus Christ is in you except ye be reprobates. Okay. So he's saying examine, which means to judge. So Paul's saying judge yourselves, then you won't have to be judged. So and c, evaluate. It's an evaluation. Am I in the faith? Am I a real believer? How do I know I'm a believer? So that's what we call assurance of salvation. And unless you're you're lying to yourself, which many of us do, and you'll find out you're reprobate. You'll find out your past feeling. Sinning, you've sinned so long and so hard, your past feeling now. It doesn't bother you anymore to sin. You've so rationalized it, so accepted it, so allowed it in your life that there's no conviction anymore. So Paul's saying there's a day where you may wind up before God and realize you're a reprobate. Realize away from me. I never knew you that practice, the keywords practice, iniquity. So when someone comes up to me and say, pastor, I got questions about, you know, my salvation. Can I lose my salvation? Am I saved? I I might you know, is is is this sin mean I'm not a Christian? And I'll say, well, the only sin that God doesn't forgive is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit means you haven't received Christ. If you've received Christ and it's bothering you right now, that tells me you're a Christian. If it didn't bother you, that's reason for concern that you can go out and do these things and it doesn't bother you anymore. So when when when you have conviction, that's an indicator the Holy Spirit's working with you and that you're a believer. If you're around people that claim to be Christians and go out drunk and drinking and do all that and not be convicted and go to church on Sunday and act like nothing happened, and then anytime you question their lifestyle, they say, hey. Don't judge me. That's an indicator they're not a believer. That's an unbeliever. Be careful. And a lot of them are in the youth groups, the church youth groups. Okay? A lot of these kids are in the church youth groups, so don't don't think that you can send your kids to a church youth group and they're gonna come back a Christian. Be careful. Right. Because he considers and turns away, so the turning away. Verse 29. Yet say at the house of Israel, the way of the Lord is not equal. They're whiners. Oh, house of Israel, are not my ways equal? Are not your ways unequal? You're the ones that are corrupt. I'm holy. Therefore, I will judge you, oh, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways. You want justice? I'll judge you according to your ways, saith the lord god. All it takes for the lord is to show up a little bit of light, just a little light, to expose my darkness. So let's look at Job again. Job thought that he could argue with God. He could negotiate. He was looking for a daysman. He was he was pleading his innocence. And when he got when the Lord came to talk with Job directly, what was the result? What was the temperature? What was the what was the posture? What was the attitude of Job? It was on the ground. He's on the ground giving the Lord 50. What was Isaiah when the Lord was lifted up and the train filled the temple? On the ground. When the light shines, it exposes our darkness. The closer you are to the Lord, the more humble you're gonna be, and the more wicked you're gonna know you are. Do you understand that? Being far from the lord, you can be prideful. The closer you get to the lord, as Peter recognized that Jesus was the lord, he said away from me from a sinful man. So god's holy. And if you think you can talk to him this way, the way they're talking to him, it's because they're very far from him. That's right. That's Job. That's it. As he's man, I knew you from afar and I heard about you, but man, now. You know? So so repent and turn. Repent and turn. Luke thirteen three through five. Repent and turn yourselves from all your trespasses and iniquity shall not be your ruin. Isn't that amazing? Do you want a good marriage? Do you want a good church? Do you want a good community? Do you want a good country? Repent. Repent. Turn from your sin, and you won't suffer the consequences of your own iniquity. God will forgive. God will cleanse. God will restore. And you and I in Galatians six one, if any man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual restore such one in the spirit of meekness, meek, recognize your own sinfulness, that you also be tempted. And so So your your iniquity is gonna be a ruin. It's a corruption. We've gotta get this corruption out of here. Verse 31, cast away from you all your transgressions by which ye have transgressed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of the of him that dieth, saith the Lord. God, wherefore turn yourselves and live. And he does this again in chapter 33. Turn ye. Turn ye. He's pleading. He's begging. So cast away. So cast away from you all your transgressions. What transgressions are you secretly holding on to? The Lord says it's permeating, it's growing, it's corrupting, it's gonna be a ruin. Moses said your sin will find you out. Galatians six seven says, God is not mocked. Whatsoever man sows, that shall he also reap. So the Lord's saying, throw it away. Throw it away. Get rid of it. Get rid of it. You know? When when, Kathy first got saved, she went through her mom's house and she threw everything out that was defiling the Lord. Her stuff, her mom said. She cast it away, got rid of it. And mom's safe. No. Her mom was really ticked. That stuff was expensive. Her mom was into the Southern California idolatry stuff, you know, the charts and horizon. What do you do? They your chart you get yourself chart yeah. Horoscopes. Yeah. Yeah. Got rid of all this stuff. And so but throw it away. Don't hold on to it. You have your pet sins, pet things you like? Get rid of them. They're gonna bite you. They're gonna hurt you. Cast them away. And can a man take fire to his bosom and not be burned? Cast it away. Get rid of it. Like that woman did, J. Wenor. Change the locks. Stop right now before it gets worse, before it tears the whole everything down. And the many marriages have suffered from adultery. And because Christians are able to come back to the altar, confess their sin, and be honest before God, God's able to forgive. And the Christians are able to forgive their spouse, and God brings restoration, and God salvages that merit and makes it even better and better and better. Right? So the only grounds for divorce in a Christian marriage is unrepentant adultery. Adultery is to be forgiven. Do you understand that? We as Christians are commanded to forgive. The only recourse, the only point we finally say, okay. I'm gonna have to file for divorce is when my spouse won't stop committing adultery. So now you go to Luke seventeen one through three. If he repent, forgive him. If he's not gonna repent, then he's still in that sin. And marriage is based upon trust. If you can't trust him, how can you have a marriage? So that trust can be restored at the point of repentance, of stop doing what you're doing. Cast it away. And lot of Christians go online and wind up getting caught and getting messed up with people, even old school people, people they used to go to school with. Just people they trolls. People trolling them. Hey, handsome. You know? I wanna be your friend. You know, that kind of thing. It's really hard being me. I'll tell you. It's really, really hard. That's a joke. Alright. It's a joke. Alright. Okay. But be careful. So cast away from me all your transgressions, clean the house, clean it out, by which ye have transgressed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why will you die, O house of Israel? So I see this as coming to faith in Jesus, and he's gonna give me a new heart, new spirit. I'm gonna turn away from all my my sins and transgressions and things. I'm gonna get saved. I'm gonna be born again, and God offers salvation to whosoever will let him come. For why will you die in your sins? God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn turn ye. For why will you die in your sins? It makes no sense to God. So alright. Let's pray. Father, thank you so much, and, we thank you for the bible study. Thank you the power came back on. Thank you that we could meet here and worship you and study your word and have a meal together and pray for one another. We lift up Brooke again, Lord, and we pray for her. Lord, we lift up our country. And, Lord, we pray at this moment, tomorrow, November 5, this election cycle, things should become apparent tomorrow night of around this time of who you're selecting, Lord, of who's gonna be the next president of The United States Of America. And and, Lord, our faith and our trust is in you. We know you're on the throne. You're in control. We've done our best. We commit the rest. And, Lord, we pray that we individually would take stock of our own lives and that we we can't force the world. We can't make a president. We can't make anybody else do what they're supposed to do. But, Lord, you hold us accountable for our individual lives. And, Lord, we desire to live a life of holiness. We desire, Lord, to live a life of fellowship with you. And, Lord, we pray evermore that you continue to transform and change our hearts and minds, that we'd surrender each day, die to self, and walk in that newness of life, the power of your holy spirit. We desire more and more and more of you, Lord, and less and less and less of me. And, Lord, help us in this season that's upon us, Lord, to, be about our father's business, be excited about what you have for us, the many opportunities to share the good news of your coming kingdom. And, Lord, we praise that you raise up a standard against the wickedness, of the times in which we're living in. We know that judgment begins at the house of God, begins with us as Christians. We ask that, Lord, that you cleanse and purify and help us, Lord, to cast away those things that are defiling, that are hindering our walk and relationship with you. Even though we're still saved, just help us get rid of those things, those weights, those things that hold us down, and to truly be free, Lord, to enter into all that you have for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
