Ezekiel 15
Pastor Rick Beaudry opens with prayer and worship for the Dinsmores, for hurricane victims and for Israel, then unfolds Ezekiel 15 using the vine as a picture of unfruitfulness and judgment. He connects Ezekiel to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea and Matthew 21 and centers on John 15 to teach that Jesus is the true vine, the Father prunes us so we might bear more and much fruit, and without Christ we can do nothing. Drawing from Galatians 5 he contrasts the fruit of the Spirit with the works of the flesh, urges us to abide, be purified by God’s word, love one another and pray, and applies the warning about unfruitfulness to church life, national leadership and personal discipleship.
