Ezekiel 2 & 3
Pastor Rick Beaudry unpacks Ezekiel chapters 2 and 3, showing Ezekiel’s commission as the “son of man” sent to a rebellious, stiffhearted Israel and the repeated call to “be not afraid.” He stresses the prophet’s task to receive, eat, and proclaim the scroll, sweet as honey yet bitter with lamentation and judgment, and to serve as a watchman who warns people whether they will hear or forbear. Beaudry urges pastors and us to meditate on and preach sound doctrine, depend on the Holy Spirit for boldness, and refuse worldly compromise. He also warns against false prophets and cultural pressures, calling for faithful, uncompromised proclamation even when the message is costly.
