Pray, father. We commit this night into your hands, and we thank you that we can meet in this home, Rob and Vicky's home, and, we ask that you bless and pour out your holy spirit. Thank you, Lord, that we can be students of your word, disciples, Lord. We ask that you'd be our teacher tonight, that you comfort, those who are at home watching. We pray that you'd be with Sally with her oncology, appointment this week, that, Lord, everything would go really smooth. Pray for Karen Waller with her procedure today to alleviate the pain that she's in, that it would be successful, Lord. She'd be she'd be delivered from such great, great pain that she's been suffering. And we lift up Thomas Poole, who's in the house tonight, Lord, and we pray for his finger. And, Lord, we pray that you would heal his finger and bless him and thank you that he's got in home care. And anybody else, Lord, that's sick, that's that's, grieving, that's suffering, Lord, we pray, dear God, that you, being the God of all comfort, would comfort them. We pray that you, minister to Raul Rees' family with, his wife Sharon going home to be with the Lord yesterday morning. Lord, we pray for your comfort upon them and their whole congregation. Lord, precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints, Lord. To be absent of the body, to be present with the Lord. So blessed, we pray tonight in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. I'm simple song to my savior, to my Jesus. Alright. Thanks, Rob. Okay. Book of Lamentations written by Jeremiah. Father, we thank you for the sweet time of worship. And as we study your word now, we pray that you'd be our teacher, that you open the scriptures to our understanding, and, Lord, lumen our hearts and minds and help us to be led to be guided into all truth, Lord. That it's it's you, Lord. It's your word, that it means what it says and that we would get it, Lord. Help us to help us to discover what's going on, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Alright. So this is written after the collapse of the temple and all now, May when everything was destroyed. And it's divided into five sections, Lamentations, written by Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. And so he's lamenting. It's his sympathy for, God's people, city of Jerusalem, the temple, the nation as a whole, And very similar to when Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem, he could see up in the future that Titus would surround the city of Jerusalem and put a siege upon it, not one stone would remain upon another. And and so when they asked Jesus who when Jesus asked the question, who do men say that I am? One of the persons that Jesus remind people of was the prophet Jeremiah because he's known as the weeping prophet. Forty years of warning, forty years of pleading, forty years of teaching God's word and not giving into heresy. And in the short run, the heretics have the easier experience. The prophets suffer greatly. Jesus asked the religious leaders, which of the prophets did not your fathers kill? You know? And so that's the that's the road. It's a hard road to hoe. Jeremiah didn't have the comfort of of a wife or family. Well, he did have a family, but his family turned against him and those of Anathoth. And so Jeremiah had to weather it. He had to he had to just stay true to God's word. There was a point in time where he was angry in chapter 20 at God because he he's unjustly treated and thrown into a pit. You know? And he told God, I won't speak in your name anymore. And and God told him, you know, basically, that his word was in him burning within deep within his being, and he could not refrain. You know? Even in his calling, when the Lord called him as a as a as a child, Jeremiah didn't really wanna do this. And the Lord let him know that you will speak. You will do what I put in your mouth and all in chapter one of Jeremiah. So God said, knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb and I ordained you a prophet unto God. And so this is a high calling that God's given him and he's been faithful in what God has called him to do. And now he has the the the sad very, very sad plight of observing what's happened to the once great nation, what's happened to the people, what's happened. The mothers are even at the point in chapter two where we'll see whether they're eating their own children. It's it's gotten that bad, and it just totally and completely breaks his heart. For us as Christians, we don't wanna be so callous to the plight of, you know, unbelievers, to the plight of those perishing. Jesus had a heart. He looked on the multitudes, his sheep having no shepherd. Jesus didn't just love, you know, believers. He loved the whole world, and we're to we're to picture that. And and so we don't wanna ever get so callous and so beat down by the world and their indifference toward God that we somehow begin to take on the persona of those who don't care. So we see Jesus weeping over the city because he did care and and Jeremiah weeping over the city because he cares. So he says here okay. So the the five chapters are divided like a song, like a poem. There's a prose here. There's a a structure, if you will, for those of you that are poets. Notice that there's 22 verses in chapter one, twenty two verses in chapter two, sixty six verses in chapter three, and twenty two verses in chapter four and five. If you could read the Hebrew language, you would see that each verse begins with a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet. And when you get to chapter three, they'll take three verses and put them as a with the same with the same letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Psalm a 119 is very similar in that way, the way that it's structured. So in English here, we might not be able to pick this up, but with study helps, they're able to let us know that this is happening. And so verses one through 11, Jeremiah gives it as an outside observer, and sin leads to destruction, leads to desertion, despair, that of becoming a slave. And so 40 of of warning, and very, very sad when you're warning, warning, warning, warning people and letting them know what God's word has to say. And people are selective hearers. They don't care what what the word of God has to say. They've decided that they have secret knowledge and that kinda like the Gnostics where they have a understanding of the Bible that's so spiritual that it even supersedes what the words actually mean. And it comes down to an esoteric, humanistic, I feel like this is right. And so in the book of Judges, every man did that which is right in his own eyes, and these people are able to get away with their feelings and their armchair quarterbacking, like somehow they know better than Jeremiah until the point in time they don't, until the point in time reality bites so hard that everything Jeremiah has been telling them comes to pass. And you don't really see Jeremiah saying, I told you so, I told you so, and gloating over it. No, it breaks his heart. It breaks his heart to see people deceived, so many people led to destruction. And the part that bothers us the most is it's not necessary. It can be avoided. Could have been avoided. How do you avoid God's judgment? Repentance. Repentance. And and this isn't just sin. This isn't just casual casual sin. We all sin. This is rebellion. This is rebellion in your heart against God, against his word, unfaithfulness to him, and God's long suffering. He's not willing that any would perish, that all would come to repentance. But he also warns us in Romans six twenty three, the wages of sin is death. He warns us in Ezekiel eighteen four that that, the soul that sinneth, it shall surely die. There's consequences. It's pointed at all men one pointed at all men to die, you know, and to face judgment in Hebrews chapter nine. And so time to get right with the Lord now, time to by faith grab hold of his righteousness and be right with him now. And so I don't want to live a life of rebellion against God. So how does the city sit alone that was full of people? So his his observation, he's he's sitting there as an outsider observing this this is what it looks guy like, guys. The city used to be full, and now it's it's empty. There's there's not hardly any people. How has she become a widow? So this once beautiful princess in verse one, if you read further, the city was like a beautiful princess, but now like a widow, very poor, the economy, the poverty that's taking place. How has she become a widow? She that was great among the nations. So among the nations, she's one of the greatest cities in the world. So if we were to look at Greece, their great city was Athens. If we were to look at France, its great city is what? Paris. If we look at America, what's our great city? Maybe several, several cities. And so New York, New York would be one that the whole world would look at and would epitomize, you know, Americans, if you will. And Babylon, for the Babylonians, would be the city of Babylon. And we see in the book of Revelation how Babylon fell in a moment, whole world looking on. For Italy, it would be Rome. For Russia, it'd be Moscow. For Germany Paris, France. Paris, France. Yeah. We said that. So these Mexico City, places that that when Hitler wanted to show off Germany, was it Berlin that the Olympic games were held there? So she that was great among the nations, princes among the provinces, how has she become a a vassal? So she went from being dominant to being a vassal nation that have been slaves. You have no more constitution. You've been the guns have been taken from you. You you live in a smart city, stack and pack, little little space. You can't drive a car. You gotta eat bugs. And and if you complain, the Chinese come with these vans and they grab you and haul you away. You're never seen again. Right? And that's the future of those who rebel against God. Real simple. Don't rebel against God. She weeps bitterly in the night and her tears are on her cheeks among her lovers. She has none to comfort her. So she has lovers, but it's just the problem is her lovers are not God. She's not in love with God. So her lovers are false gods. Her lovers are her idols. Her lovers are her liaisons with with things of the world. So there's pleasure in Hebrews eleven twenty five. There's pleasure in sin for a season. So people that bring up false gods, false belief systems, when they go against God's will, there is pleasure in sin for a season, but the end thereof is death, separation. So Moses, he esteemed the reproach of Christ as greater riches than all the pleasure of Egypt, all the pleasure of the world that the world had to offer. So the devil takes Moses, the devil takes Jesus, the devil takes you and I, and he sizes it up and he says, what's your price? I'll give you all these kingdoms above the world if you bow down and worship me, the devil said to Jesus. So it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Church of Ephesus, one thing I have against you, you've left your first love. There's the problem there. And so it says she has none to comfort her. How horrible it is as our moms and dads, our grandmas and grandpas, people within our family start dying. Because when we go through things, those that were once able to comfort us are not there anymore. And for us as Christians, we have the help of the Holy Spirit. But notice the word comfort in verse two, in verse nine, in verse 16, verse 17, none to comfort, and down in verse 21, none to comfort me. So that's a huge theme here in this observation of what's going on in the city is there's none to comfort. There's there's nobody that can come along and wrap their arms around you, let you cry, you know, wipe your face, give you something to eat, something to drink, pat you on the back and tell you it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay. And maybe you cried like that when you lost your first girlfriend or first boyfriend, you know, and you ran home and your mom told you it's gonna be okay. And what do the dads typically do? Alright. Okay. You get a Dairy Queen. What? You get a Dairy Queen. Very good. You've got a good daddy. Took you to Dairy Queen. Great idea. Some more dad. Okay. Alright. Alright. So your, tears are on your cheeks. Among all of her lovers, she's none none to comfort her five times. We see that her friends have dealt treacherously, so the nation of Egypt, other others that she wanted to have an alliance with to fight the Babylonians. Fairweather friends. You've ever had fairweather friends? Yes. You ever had people that are there with you when things are going really well and fun to be around you and fun to be around them? And and then you go through a crisis period, a period of time, and you're almost like a leper. They can't get away from you fast enough because it they might catch it. They don't wanna catch it, and you've got a curse upon you. So you're kinda like Job sometimes some seasons, you know? But guess what? Jesus was treated the same way. When the shepherd was smitten, everybody scattered. He's left alone, but he wasn't alone. Right? So when the devil tries to tell you that you're alone, you're not alone. Why aren't you alone, Thomas? Because Jesus Christ is greater than any the greater is he that is in you than he that be of the world. So five times. Five times. That's good. I like that. Five times we're told in this chapter that they're comfortless. They have no comforter. So turn to John chapter 14. John 14 verse 25 or verse 16. So verse 15, if you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray to the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever. Say that forever. Forever. So even the spirit of truth which the world cannot receive because it sees him not neither knows him, but you know him for he dwells with you and shall be in you. What a night. Tell you. I will not leave you comfortless, so he's not gonna leave us comfortless. I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world sees me no more, but ye see me because I I live, ye shall live also. At that day, ye shall know that I'm in the father and the father of me and I in you. So the holy spirit with you and then in you, he shall be in you. What's Jesus talking about? The Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. After Jesus is crucified, a whole new dynamic takes place where the Holy Spirit comes alongside the convict of sin. But being born again, the Holy Spirit dwells within you and he breathed on his disciples that receive ye the Holy Spirit. So three prepositions within and upon. So in chapter first chapter of book of Acts, you shall be my witnesses when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Right? So they outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost fifty days after his crucifixion, resurrection, all. And so so I won't leave you comfortless. Yet a little while and the world sees me no more, but you see me because I live, you shall live also, and at that day you shall know that I'm in the father and the father in me and I in you. So what he prayed in John 17 that we'd be one. He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me. And he that loves me shall be loved of my father and I will love him and will manifest myself to him. Judah saith on him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my my words and the father will love him and we will come unto him, we'll make our abode with him. So the proof of the love is believing, continuing to trust in him. It's the obedience of faith. And so it's the life of obedience under God's word under his commands to love him supremely. He that loves me not keepeth not my sayings, and the word which he hears not mine, but the father who sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being present with you, but the comforter who is the holy spirit, whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I said unto you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. So you're gonna go through trouble. Now turn to chapter 16. They say that a lot in the Catholic church. Yeah. Peace, I leave you. Have peace, I hear you. That's what they say. Peace. Peace, love, peace. Verse 26 of chapter 15. But when the comforter has come whom I will send unto you, whom the father, even the spirit of truth, who proceeds from the father, he shall testify of me. And he also shall bear witness because ye have been with me from the beginning. So the job of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity is to bear witness of the son. Right? And now he says over here, verse seven of chapter 16. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is expedient. The word expedient means profitable. It's good for you that I go away. They don't want him to go away. Let not your heart be troubled, neither be afraid. Right? Chapter 14 verse one. It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I go away, the comforter will come unto you. But if I depart, I will send him unto you. So if I go not away, the comforter won't come unto you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he has come, he will convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. Of sin, because they believe not on me. So the Holy Spirit's job is to convict the world of sin if they don't believe on Jesus. Right? Of righteousness because I ascend to my father. So who do we know is righteous? What's God's righteous standard? Jesus. Jesus ascended to the right hand of the father. He's the only one that could do that. Mhmm. Jesus said the father said this, beloved son whom I'm well pleased. Hear him. And then, so convict the world of sin, of righteousness, of judgment, a judgment because the prince of this world is judged, the devil's judged, and, defeated. So you and I have the promise that Jesus will not leave us comfortless. I won't leave you as orphans, as widows or orphans. So you're always going to have the holy spirit living and dwelling within you as a Christian no matter what adversity, no matter what happens, we'll never be alone. And Jesus even promised when he gave the great commission alone with you always even to the end of the age. Right? So we're in the church age. We're at the end of the church age and Jesus is still here right now no matter what's happening, no matter what atrocity, no matter what affliction, no matter what difficulty comes our way, the Lord is with you and I. Now, in the storms of life, on the Sea Of Galilee, there's all sorts of boats on the storms of life. But Jesus is in only one boat. He's in your boat. A whole lot of people out there in the world are gonna experience famine, cancer, died suddenly, divorces, loss of a child, pedophiles preying upon their children, all that stuff. What's different about us? We can experience the same things as the world, but Jesus is in the boat with us. Amen. So we have Jesus to help us get through this life to comfort us that, you know what? It's almost over. It's almost over. I'm coming I'm coming for you. Right? It's almost over. So no promise of escape. In this world, you will have tribulation pressure. Right? Right. But be of good cheer. I've overcome the world. Right? Okay. So watch this. So none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her. They have become her enemies. So a lot of times when people believe the lie of the wicked one, they wanna commit suicide because they they say, everyone's left me. Everyone's abandoned me. And your eyes are totally 100% obsessed with yourself. And and you're looking within, and the devil's saying, like the people on the floor when a guy's gonna jump from a ledge, the people down below actually yell up at him, jump. Jump. You ever seen people do that? Yeah. That's how evil people are. That's how evil they are. And the devil's telling you to jump. This tell devil's telling you to kill yourself, but that's not what the holy spirit's saying. The holy spirit's saying, I'm not done with you. I'm not done with you. Walk by faith. Trust me. I'll get you through this. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I'll fear no evil for thou art with me. So none to help. Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction and because of great servitude, she dwells among the nations. She finds no rest. All her persecutors overtook her in her calamities. So it comes to her enemies in verse two there. And then in verse five, her adversaries. In verse six, her pursuers. So these are after her. And then when it speaks of affliction, in verse three, we have affliction. Verse four, we have affliction. Down in verse seven, we have affliction. And then we go up to verse nine, there's affliction. We go down to verse 12, there's affliction. And as far as comforter, we have the comforter in verse two, comforter in verse nine, no comfort in verse 16, and no comfort in verse 21. And so five times, you know, no comfort and the affliction that's coming against them. And the reason is that of rebellion. Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction. And in case you think that you're not subject to affliction being a Christian, living a godly life, a good godly life, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all. And we, Paul said, and we through tribulation, enter into the kingdom of God. There's no escape. There's no being having enough faith, believing enough, doing enough, being good enough to give you a shiny, shiny little hedge around you that you are in the blessed me club and that you won't be afflicted, that you won't go through tribulation, that you won't suffer. Suffering is a part of being a Christian. So get over it. Don't act like, you know, it's a surprise if you suffer. Expect suffering. Expect it. It's not like, oh, it's you know, I can't enjoy this day because I'm gonna suffer. But when it comes, don't be so surprised. You're in a good company. Jesus suffered. He's a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. I don't go looking for the suffering. I don't go looking for the affliction. It finds me, always finding me. So you don't have to think in terms of a formula like, oh, god, this happened to me because I didn't pray enough. Oh, I didn't read enough. I didn't witness to enough people. I didn't give enough. No. This is an indication that you're a threat to the kingdom of darkness, and the kingdom of darkness wants to neutralize you and wants to afflict you, wants to put you through trials, test you, and God's gonna take what the enemy means for evil and turn it around for good. So if you wanna see the apostle Paul's list, the various lists of times that he suffered and and others, you read as you read first Corinthians four and second Corinthians 12, you know, Paul going through the different things that he's went through, beaten with rods, stone, shipwrecked, destitute of food with no place to sleep. And he and he calls it in this light affliction, which is but for a moment. What's he mean by that? Doesn't last very long. It's only gonna last a lifetime. That's not very long in regard to eternity. Seventy years. Right? Life of two hundred years. Yeah. So your life's but a vapor, James says. Right? Okay. Just blows across the little flowers and they're gone, you know, like a tale already told. So this light affliction of what which is but for a moment is working a far more an eternal weight of glory while we look not on things which are seen, but the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, the things which are not seen are eternal. Right? So we're gonna live eternally minded. We're gonna fix our eyes, our citizenship being in heaven, that we're pilgrims and sojourners passing through here. We're gonna let go of the world. We're not gonna try and hold on to this world system in this world that we see corrupting. We're not gonna try and fix it. It's corrupting. And only Jesus can fix it, and he's gonna fix it with a war, with his second coming Amen. With the brightness of his coming. So there's a shelf life for nations. The nation of Israel reached its shelf life. It's over. But God will reborn them. He'll rebirth them in Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven. And there's no rebirthing of the America. God's not an American. And we just happen to live in the greatest nation on the planet during our lifetime, but to much is given, much is required. So Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction and because of great servitude. She dwells among the nations. She finds no rest. There's no rest, saith the Lord to the wicked. Right? Jesus, come unto me all you that labor and heavy laden. I'll give you rest and take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I'm meek and lonely in heart and you shall find rest under your soul. In Hebrews three and Hebrews four, the children of Israel failed to enter into his rest. Why? Unbelief. Because of their unbelief, they failed to enter into God's rest in the land of Canaan. So they went into a circle, nine mile journey, but they went in a circle for forty years. Forty years, walking in a circle, chasing their tail. They found no rest. There's no rest for the wicked. You and I can rest. We can rest in the finished work of Jesus. He said, it is finished. You don't have to work for a greater standing with him. You don't have to work for, Maybe I'll answer more of my prayers if I do this, that, or the other. That's a work relationship. It's not a works relationship. He's already done the work. It's a relationship of grace, unmerited favor. He loves you. He can't take his eyes off of you. Just enjoy him and allow for his peace to guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. And so her calamities, her persecutors overtook her in her calamities. The waves of Zion do mourn. The waves of Zion do mourn because none come to the solemn feast. So they're dead spiritually. Apostasy. The churches are dead in Europe. The buildings are empty. Muslims are buying them up. Bars are buying them up. The churches have no use because there aren't any believers. It's a post Christian era in much of the world today. And yet, I love to say it, I'll say it again, the fastest growing church in the world is where? Amen. Praise the lord. An Islamic Muslim nation where sin does abound, grace does much more abound. Right? Amen. So the ways of Zion do mourn because none come to the solemn feast. All her gates are desolate. Her priests sigh. Her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. And so we would write the word Ichabod, the glory of the Lord has departed. A time of great glory, of Jesus coming with the clouds and with great glory with him. That the guy on the back of your van? Heard that before. Yeah. Guys got it? Alright. So Desilet, her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. So she's dead spiritually. There's no life in her. Her adversaries are become the head. So the enemies have got the, you know, the uppermost on her. Her enemies prosper for the Lord has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions. Her children are gone into captivity before the enemy. So they're they're in a place of bondage. Can you imagine, being overtaken by your enemies and your children? You never see them again, boys over here, girls over here, males over here, you know, and you're divided from them and never never to be never to see them again. Well, if they're believers, you're gonna see them in heaven. Amen. Right? They're sealed with the Holy Spirit. That's the greatest protection we can give our children. Right? Is to be sealed with the Holy Spirit. Her children are gone into captivity for the enemy. And from the daughter of Zion, all her beauty has departed. What a beautiful city. Beautiful, beautiful city that of Zion, that of Jerusalem. And her beauty has departed. Her princes are become like, what's that say there? Hearts. Hearts. Like deer. Like deer. As the deer pants after the water brook, so pants my heart after thee, oh god. Heart as an h e a r t. So the hearts, these deer that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer. So they're being hunted. God's people are being hunted, and they're like deer, they find no pasture, and they're getting weary, These hunted deer, the weakness is setting in. Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries, all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old when her people fell into the hand of the enemy and none did help her, the adversaries saw her and all did mock at her Sabbaths. So she's defenseless and the world is mocking. They're mocking, you know, oh, look at look at Jerusalem. It's it's fallen. And, the gods abandoned you. Your gods abandoned you. Your god is the one that actually brought the judgment against you because of your your, wickedness. Now no matter how sinful the nation of Israel gets, no matter how many lies you catch her in presently, don't take the bait of being anti Semitic, anti Jew, because the nation of Israel is the apple of his eye. Do not be a part of hatred against any people, any group. Why why do people It's demonic. Why are they doing it? Demonic. That's all it is? It's demonic. It's hatred. Religion over there? It's a spiritually energized, phenomena of hating God's people, hating Christians, hating Jesus. It's irreconcilable, irrational. Nobody would ever hate Jesus. How could you hate Jesus? Why why are they doing that now? Pardon me? Why are they doing that now? They've always been doing that. I know. But, I mean, come on. We all grew up. Right? No. We haven't all grown up. There's a whole lot of pedophiles. There's a whole lot of people that have never grown up that are that are I don't even wanna say they're like children because I love children, the innocence of children. These are demons. They're demonic. They're demonically energized. They're demon possessed. One of the best ways to describe things happening now is Kathy always says it, and I love it when she does. Because I sit there and I try and reason how a person could be like that. Rick, they're demonically possessed. Oh, yeah. That's right. They are. That's the best explanation. They're demonically possessed because a normal person in their right mind wouldn't have that hatred there. Yeah. Where's that hatred come from? So in the South, people are white children are taught to hate blacks. Blacks are taught to hate white. In Israel, the Palestinians are taught to hate Jews. I don't think the Jews are taught to hate anybody. Right? I don't think so. So They're probably taught to fear. They hate Christians. They hate Christians. Okay. Jews hate Christians. Right? Yeah. Hate Christians. Well, now we're a commodity. We wanna go visit the holy land. Yeah. But in the time of the early church, they sure hated Christians. Right? That's what Saul of Tarsus is going out there doing. He wasted the church. Right? So, anyway, the world is mocking, but God is not mocked. Whatsoever man sows that, shall I also reap. It ain't over till it's over. Right? When the fat man sings, it's that's when it's over. Right? Yes. It's Alright. Jerusalem has grievously sinned. Therefore, she is removed. Grievously sinned. So when you think in terms of in the book of Revelation where Jerusalem described as Sodom and Gomorrah, where our Lord was crucified, that's a pretty polluted city, once great cities. So when this recent October 7 thing happened, one of the things that music festival was the burning man of of Israel. Decadent, evil, idolatrous, idolatrous. And so Tel Aviv, the gay and lesbian community in Tel Aviv and Israel is is is off the charts. So just because they're Jews don't mean they're the true Israel of God. The true Israel of God are those who believe. It's your belief system that'll change your behavior and will will guide your behavior. And so what a man believes, will be acted out. Therefore, she has removed all that honored her, despise her because they have seen her nakedness. So she goes from being revered to being shamed. The shame of being the reproach and shame of of her own nakedness being exposed. Yet she sighs and trusts, turneth backward, so she's aimless. Jesus said, no man having put his hand to the plow looking back is fit or keeps looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. You and I have a calling in these last days. I would call it a high calling, a high calling. It's not a time to turn backward. It's not a time to retreat. It's a time to press on, to press forward, to fight the good fight, to finish our course. There's much, much, work to do in a time of crisis, but men's hearts failing them for fear. You can't allow fear to paralyze you and to sicken your mind. Paul told Timothy, God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, but of power of love and a sound mind. Right? And we're emboldened as we're in God's word. Right? And so her filthiness is in her skirts. She remembers not her latter end. Therefore she came down terribly and had no comforter, oh Lord. Behold, my affliction for the enemy has magnified himself. And so she's polluted. She's like a minstrel woman who's rendered unclean and has to stay away from public life. The woman with the twelve year issue of blood shouldn't even ever touch Jesus or got near Jesus because you defile him. Right? Jesus would let lepers touch him, and he would touch lepers. He didn't see it that way. But your righteousness is as what? Filthy rags. Filthy rags in Isaiah 66. Right? Your your righteousness, you're priding yourself on your own righteousness is as filthy rags like a woman's menstrual cloth. And so that's what the Lord's saying here is that is that that's how defiled, how polluted you are as a people. And I'm embarrassed to keep hearing over and over and over again that America is the number one place on the planet for slavery, for human they changed the name to human trafficking, but you're making sexual slaves out of children, and you're distributing them all over the world for all these elites that have this this penchant, this, lust, for children, and not just the elites, not just people in politics, but people at Hollywood. So P. Diddy P. Diddy, he's the guy that had cameras everywhere like Jeffrey Epstein. So all the Hollywood people coming to all of his parties and stuff were filmed and controlled, and that's how their careers are managed. All those in Washington, DC, the only way they make it and stay in office is they're controlled. Their dossier, their film, their videos of them at Epstein Island or wherever they were filmed with children in compromising situations are held back as long as they cooperate, as long as they vote for Obamacare for your Justice Roberts. You're like, wait a minute. You're conservative. Why why are you doing that? You know you know better. You know? Or Speaker Johnson. You know? What happened? Why did he cave? Why did he give in? Because although they on the outside may look like they're Christians to deceive you, they never get in those places of leadership, in those positions without, first of all, being controlled, compromised. And I get filled with shame to think because I had more of a Pollyanna view of America until the Lord removes the blinders. And now everything's coming out now. They don't even they don't even try to hide their wickedness anymore. It's out there. Everybody knows, the whole Epstein Island thing and the people, how many times Bill Gates, his wife divorced him for some reason, you know, which I think is just a protective mechanism for the family. But in any event, the the filthiness, the shame and filthiness, the putrid aspects of our culture. And so behold, my affliction for the enemy has magnified himself. So my enemies conquered me and magnified himself. I've gone down. My enemies gone up. The adversary has spread out. And who's the adversary? The devil. The devil's your adversary. We fight not against what? Flesh and blood. But spirits and principalities of the air. Right? In high places. Right. And the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty of god to the pulling down of strongholds. Down of strongholds. Amen. Amen. Amen. Yeah. Right. Get Pentecostal. Alright. Spread out the devil. Hand upon her pleasant things for she has seen that the nations entered into her sanctuary. So now you've got your beautiful, beautiful temple that had what's called a Gentile court. And at the Gentile court, there's a sign that says, any of you Gentiles that cross this line, you do so at the peril of your life. It's we're innocent of killing you if you cross over in this area. Now your whole temple is wiped out and overrun by heathens, by pagans, by unbelievers. Right? And so the adversary has spread out his hand upon all the pleasant things for he has seen that the nations entered into her sanctuary. So all of the all the booty, all the spoil, all the gold, the the bronze, the all the implements, even the pillars we saw last week were taken back to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar and his armies. So the sanctuary, the holy of holies, where even a holy priest could go in one time a year on the great day of atonement, it's all overrun. Her sanctuary whom thou did command that they should not enter into the congregation. So desecrated, destroyed, defiled, Jesus said, not one stone remain upon the other, you know, in the time of Christ when he came. So in seventy AD when Titus surrounded the city, what happened to the temple? A fire broke out. When a fire broke out, the gold melted into the cracks and the soldiers wanted the spoils, so they took pry bars and they pry barred every single stone, not one stone remained upon another just as Jesus had said. And so these Romans, the army, they're so angry for the defiance of the Jews that finally when they when their siege succeeds, they're just so angry. They just wanna destroy it all. And they want to change the name of Israel to Palestine, a Latin a Latin term. And also, there's a coin Vespasian made at this time. The the symbol of Judah is a palm tree. How many of love palm trees? I love my favorite tree is a palm tree. Right? Palm trees. And but a palm tree with a single widow at the bottom of the palm tree, meaning poverty overtaken, you know, we've vanquished them. All that's left is the orphans and the widows. And so they wanna send a message send a message out. So desecrated, destroyed that they should enter into the congregation. Verse 11, all her people sigh, they seek bread and have given their pleasant things for food to relieve the soul. See thou, O Lord, consider for I am become vile. So if you want to be able to make money when the dollar crashes, produce food. Somehow produce food, and you will be a rock star in a time of great famine. Driving over here, Kathy told me again, we hear it every day, every day. This is something that never used to happen. It never ever ever used to happen, but every day food is being destroyed. Or let me use the word seemingly, seemingly being destroyed because of bird flu or whatever. The reason I use the word seemingly is because Steve Quill had pointed out that elites have underground, deep underground military bunkers, and you can drive trucks, huge semi trucks underground. And those semi trucks are taking that hamburger today or chicken or fish or beef or whatever they want, and they're bringing them into these lockers and and freezers. And they're stockpiling food because they're inviting war with Russia and China. They're inviting war. They're they're provoking it's not even like enemy against enemy. It's it's an agreement. Alright. We're going to stand down and you're going to nuke this many US cities, shock and awe, but we're gonna be underground. And above ground, everything's gonna be destroyed. There's gonna be no people to resist. The enemy of the globalists are the people, not nations. It's the people. So the head of the snake's the bankers, and their objective here is to bring famine, to bring famine. So let me try the Henry Kissinger quote again. Control oil and you control nations. Control food and you control the people. Control the economy, the dollar, and you control the world. So when they have their digital currency, they control the world. When they control food, they control the people. Now according to Katherine Austin Fitts and Whitney Webb, Katherine Austin Fitts, if you can produce food, you can circumvent their global currency because food can become a currency. So notice here, your gold bars and all the gold that you saved, and in the tribulation period, if you find yourself in the tribulation period, a day's wages can get you a ephah of barley. Barley is the poor person's food. So the wealthy are going to have the wine and all the luxuries and stuff, but the famine is going be so great in the tribulation period and so great in any culture that's been taken down that food production doesn't matter your jewelry around your neck, your all your gold, everything that you that has a value, you'll give it for food. You'll give it for bread. You'll give it for my one of my rib eye steaks. You know? But anyway. So her people sigh. They seek bread. They have given their pleasant things, all of your luxuries. So when you're leaving a place, when a place is being destroyed, if your if your Jews leaving Germany, you're taking your diamonds and you're putting it in your coats. You're putting the sleeves of your coats. You're taking your gold, your pictures, whatever that you can use to restart in the in America or the country that you're heading toward. But if on the way there's no food, you're gonna take whatever you gotta do to sell for more food. So again, food production. If you can produce food, you're gonna be able to circumvent the tyranny and you're gonna be able to have something to barter with. See, O Lord, and consider for I am become vile and or vile. Now from the inside out. So we looked at the first 11 verses was a look from the outside observer. Now it's a picture in 12 through 22. It's a plea for mercy, but it's a it's a view from the inside out, what they're seeing on the inside. It is nothing to you, all ye that pass by. Is it nothing to you, ye that pass by? Now I put this on the marquee at the Roxy years ago during Easter, during Good Friday. And it's a picture of Jesus hanging on the cross and asking the question, is this nothing to you? You that pass by? You pass by the cross year after year after year on Good Friday, Easter. Is it nothing to you? You're just indifferent to this? Don't you see how how, you know, pivotal? And that's why when we partake of communion, this do in remembrance of me. Don't forget the cross because a whole lot of people who cares about the cross? It's nothing to us. When I was teaching a few weeks back, maybe it was for Easter service, and I said something about the the cross that you wear. Is it just an accessory in your in your fashion statement you're making? One of the ladies in our church wrote me and said, have you lost your mind? And if you're watching, yes, I have. I have lost my mind. Certifiable. But You didn't talk politics on Sunday. In trying to make that point, it's far more than an accessory. For some, it may be a picture or a symbol of love, God's love for you. That's great. But it's a form of capital punishment. It's the most brutal, brutal form of death devised by men at the time. And Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, suffered death, even the death of the cross. So is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Jesus said, rather you're hot or cold, if you're indifferent, if you're lukewarm, I'll spit you out of my mouth. Indifference is a really difficult thing to overcome in people. When you share the gospel with somebody and they get real angry at you, there's hope for them. If they're just blow it off, indifferent I was at the gym last week, and there's a really beautiful young guy. I don't I don't check out guys being beautiful, but but yeah. Yeah. Night no. He no. Yeah. Real nice. But, I mean, beautiful in the sense of a young guy in the military with a wife, their new baby. That's not ugly. That's a beautiful thing. And and there, I tried to share Christ with him a while back, and and he stopped me real quick. That's good for you, not for me. No. I don't want that. I don't want that. Good for you, not for me. So it means nothing to him. But then he comes in, and he's got a sick baby. And the baby the baby's got COVID. And but don't worry, he says. She's all current on her boosters. Oh my gosh. So do you know I didn't say a word after that? What's the point? What's the point? There's nothing I could say that could bring comfort to that situation. But if that baby starts doesn't die suddenly, but starts to go through some things, maybe that'll turn his heart, his wife's heart to the Lord to cry out in prayer. Right? And then we're gonna be there. Then we're gonna be there for these people that believe the lie, the lie of the wicked one. And so but it just so incredibly breaks my heart to see a guy so upright, playing by the rules in the military, doing I mean, doing it right. And but what's nothing to do with God? That just so breaks my heart. So behold and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me with which the Lord has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. So there's there's this deep sorrow, huge sorrow within a lamentation within me, and it's the Lord that's afflicted me. It's the Lord that's done this. Everything that happens to you and I has to go through God's providential filter. Satan's the hitman. Satan's the one that's sent to Job. Mhmm. But ultimately, it's God that's allowing these things in your life. Amen. And and God promises with that affliction that all things are working together for good, for those who love God and are called according to his purpose. But he does use pain. God will use pain in our lives. And when America suffers and goes down, and we've been standing there appealing to Americans and letting them know, don't believe those lies, stand for truth, you know, turn back to God, turn back to Jesus, give your heart to him, call the church to repentance, we're going to suffer right along with them. There's no escape for the Christian except the rapture. So in that suffering, how are we how is our suffering gonna be different than the unbeliever's suffering? Temporary. Yeah. Yeah. It's a time for us to shine. It's a time for us to shine. The difference is we have hope. Right. Amen. So when someone we love dies, we sorrow, but not as those who have no hope. For those who have no hope in the resurrection, they're wailing. They're wailing away. It's over. It it really gets them. And for us, we're wailing, we're crying, we're grieving. We can't stop that emotion that God has built us with. When I've I've gone through grieving for people that have died in my life, it hits you. It hits you out of left field. You don't even see it coming. And all of a sudden, woah. And then you, you know, you go through the the weeping and the wailing, and then you pick your back self back up, but it's not over. There's things that pictures or voices or you go to the you go to your phone and you see a voicemail from her or him and you click on it and that the sound of their you go through it again. And it's a process that you gotta go through. And and Jesus, he wailed over the city of Jerusalem. He grieved ahead of time. He wept. He could see the millions of people that would die unnecessarily, who would die and spend an eternity in hell because they rejected their Messiah. It just breaks your heart. From above has he set fire. So we're gonna see lightning, we're gonna see a trap, we're gonna see bonds being bond slaves. So in this affliction, what are the things the Lord did? From above he has sent fire, lightning into my bones and has prevailed against them. He has spread a net. So the Lord spread a net, a trap for my feet. He has turned me back. He has made me desolate and faint all the day. I've taught you guys many times concerning Hebrews chapter 11 and the transition in verse 38, and others, it's others of a different kind. When you go through this kind of affliction, you're praying, you're praying, you're praying for deliverance. I wanna be delivered from this Lord. Lord, rescue me. And for some of us, the Lord doesn't show up to rescue us. And it takes a hard, hard hit, a hard toll. And and all of a sudden, we're the weirdos. We're different. We're the others of a different kind. The Greek word heteros, a different kind of people that please God. They were sawn asunder, this type of people. Isaiah was sawn in two. He wasn't delivered like David. He wasn't delivered like Abraham. Abraham goes in and wipes out Chedolamor and all the enemies that were fighting against Sodom and Gomorrah, the king of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham went to battle with 318 men and defeated all these kings. That's the kind of hutzpah I want. That's kind of victory I want. I wanna be a conqueror. But the Lord says then there's those who are more than a conqueror. There were rewards awaiting them in heaven whom this world was not worthy of. They wandered about in goatskins, destitute, hungry, living in dens and in caves. You know? This is a real story, a real picture in Hebrews 11. But they pleased God because of faith, because they didn't stop believing even though the adversity was insurmountable. Something very few of us know of. So he spread a net at my feet and he has turned me back. He has made me desolate and faint all the day. The yoke of my transgressions is bound. And so you're yoked, but you're not yoked with Jesus in Matthew eleven twenty eight, come on to me all you that labor in every lane, take my yoke upon you. No, your yoke is a yoke of servitude, a yoke of slavery, a heavy, heavy burden. You're gonna have to make bricks with no straw. By his hand, they are knit together and come up upon my neck. He has made my strength to to fall. The Lord has delivered me into their hands from whom I am not able to rise up. You can't get up. I'm beat down. I'm so beat down. I can't get up. I can't get up. All I wanna do is sleep. I just wanna sleep. Lord, let me sleep. I don't wanna think about it. I can't get up. And those days when it's raining, it's almost like a it's almost like a, hey. It's okay to sleep. Just keep sleeping. Till the dog makes you get up. Yeah. Gotta let the dog out. But I'd rather I'd rather fight it off and pray for some sunshine and and go to the gym. And I think one of my favorite things now with what's happening is just a simple family meal. I cherish a simple family meal because I know it's coming. Today, I was dreaming of mashed potatoes. Guess what we're having next week? A simple family meal. I mean, do you know how special that is? Do we take it for granted? The simple things, spending the day with Kathy. What's that? I have it on Mondays. What? Here. Yeah. Yeah. I know you do. I never did it. Isn't it great? It's awesome. It's awesome. Yeah. It's my favorite part of the week. That's Robbie's favorite. Robbie. Yeah. Favorite. Well, I like church too, but it's really cool to sit at the table. Well, that'll change. You'll get tired of me pretty soon. You think so? But there's other churches out there. No. What? Whatever. What? Alright. Here we go. So the yoke there. So remember, the the yoke of bondage of carrying the weight of the law, that's what Jesus was saying. I've come. I'll give you rest because I'm the one that took that burden. I'm the one that went to the cross for you. You don't need to work. Don't need to work for righteousness. The righteous is a free gift. It's a free gift for me. So you trust me. Keep trusting me. The Lord has has trampled underfoot all my mighty men in the midst of me and has called an assembly against me to crush the young men. The Lord has trampled upon the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress. So the Babylonian army is like just crushing grapes, just crushing them. And Jesus is the one in Isaiah 63 that's gonna trample out the vintage and crush crush the devil and his enemies, devil and his armies. For these things I weep, mine eye mine eye runneth out with water. Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. Right? Because the comforter who should relieve my soul is far from me. My children are desolate because the enemy prevailed. And so no matter what happens to you and I outwardly, Jesus said, don't fear him who can kill your body. Right? That's the most they can do, threaten you and kill your body. But fear him who can not only kill your body but cast your soul into hell. So we're to fear God. We're to reverence him. And to be asked when the body is to be present with the Lord, they just they just release me. It's my moving day. I move out of this old body into my new glorious body. Right? And so we have the help of the Holy Spirit. We have the comforter. How many of you have written songs in a time of great sorrow? God gives you a song in the night. Anybody? Rob. I have. I have. Rob has a song in the night that he can share with you in a time of sorrow, deep deep sorrow. Your ears are attentive to the holy spirit, and the holy spirit's comforting. And so the song it is well with my soul is written in sorrow. Right? And you guys know the story of that song? No. Right? Robbie does. She's gonna tell us. Guy was a lawyer. And his wife and his children Right. Is that the one where he had a fire and and he they were scheduled to go across the water to Europe or something, and they had a fire at his business. And so he had to send his children and his family and his wife ahead of time. And so then he was gonna go later, and then a big shipwreck destroyed the boat, and they all drowned. And so he eventually went and rode the boat, and they passed by where the ship had gone down, and he wrote that song. Blessed assurance. Blessed assurance? It is well. It it is with my soul. Okay. Yeah. Right? Is that the right one? Yes. That's what I recall. Hey. Okay. Yeah. I don't know what blessed I know the song blessed assurance, but I don't think that's the well with my soul. That a phrase? It is well with my soul. Yep. It is well with my soul. That's what I said at first. Yeah. Is Kathy laughing in there? Wives are given for what purpose? Laughter. Keep you humble. Alright. Alright. Okay. Rolled her eyes. And you said I was for the home. Right? Alright. So the covenant who should relieve my soul is far from me. So that's not the case for you and I. For you and I, the the Holy Spirit will never leave us nor forsake us. Now check out Psalm 51. David said, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Right? That's not a a prayer or a song that we need to sing because the Holy Spirit will never be taken from you and I. So the dispensation of Holy Spirit in the Old Testament was not the same as the dispensation of the church because Jesus wasn't crucified yet. So the Holy Spirit could come upon David or Samson for power, for service, or purpose of fellowship or whatever, but, restore unto me the joy of my salvation, David's crying out, and and take not thy holy spirit from me. We don't need to worry about that. The holy spirit will never be taken from us. Even in the tribulation period when the restrainer's removed and the antichrist revealed and the tribulation period starts, the holy spirit is still in the world during the time of the tribulation period, but just not in the same dynamic that the holy spirit is operating through the church because the church has been raptured. Alright? You think it's bad now, watch how bad or the worldlings, they enjoy a great, great benefit of you and I being here upon this planet. When when the 10 righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah or if there'd be 10 righteous, the Lord would've held back his hand from judging Sodom and Gomorrah. So when Lot and his wife and two daughters left, all hell broke loose. But God waited till he delivered Lot and his daughters. Right? And so God's waiting to pour out his wrath and everybody's benefiting presently because God's wrath's being held back. And the blessings that God pours out upon us, he causes to rain on the just and the unjust. The parasites who who live off of you, the blessings that God bestows upon you in your life, the parasites always wanna move to your neighborhood because they've destroyed their own neighborhoods. So you work real hard to make your neighborhood and your schools and your community nice. They hear about it, and they wanna move to your community and change it and to suck the life out of it, you know, and then they move to the next one after that. That's how these parasites are. So it's it's demonic. Right? And I'm not afraid to say it. So because the enemy prevailed. Zion spreads forth her hands and there is none to comfort. Comfort her. The Lord has commanded concerning Jacob that his adversaries should be round and about him. Jerusalem is like an unclean woman among them. So we see this again. So like Isaiah 64 verse six, your righteousness is as a filthy rag, a minstrel cloth. And so rejected, unclean. The Lord is righteous. The Lord is righteous for I have rebelled. So here we go. Here's here's where you need to be. The Lord is righteous, and I have rebelled. Now if I'm Job and I'm being whooped on, I'm looking for a daysman. I'm looking for justice. I'm looking for someone that'll stand in the gap and plead my cause because I'm not a bad guy, but all this bad stuff's happening to me. And God even started bragging on me. I didn't hear him, but the devil heard him. Have you considered my servant Job, man perfect, not bright in all of his ways? A man that fears God and excused evil? Well, does he do it for you, his love for you, or because you've blessed him so much? Take away the blessings and he'll curse you to your face. Well, the Lord allowed Satan to do that, but spares life. And naked came into the world. Naked on him to go. The Lord giveth, Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. That's Job's response. Worship. Take away his health. He'll curse you to your face. Alright. But don't kill his life. And the same thing, he passed. But as we move on through the book of Job, Job's fighting with Eliphaz, Bildad, Zophar, and Elihu who are contending that the reason these things happened to you, Job, and they didn't see behind the curtain is because you have secret sin because you're really a bad guy. So Job gets caught up in the self righteousness and is pleading for his vindication. And then what's he say at the end of the book in 42, Vicky? I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes. Why? Because the Lord began to draw near to Job and speak to Job. And he said, I knew you from afar, but the closer I got, the dirtier I see myself now. I see myself as I abhor myself. I repent in dust and ashes. And so that's what's happening here in verse 18. The Lord is righteous for I have rebelled against his commandment. Here I pray you all people and behold my sorrow, my virgins, my young men are gone into captivity. And so God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from their wickedness in Ezekiel thirty three eleven. No pleasure in the death of the wicked. God isn't enjoying this. This is painful for God to to see. And God's long suffering, second Peter three nine, unwilling that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. I called for my lovers, but they deceived me. Yeah, your lovers deceived you. There's pleasure in sin for a season, and then it brings an STD, brings AIDS. Parts of your body start to fall off, you know? So I called for my lovers, but they deceived me. My priests and mine elders died in the city while they sought their food to relieve their their souls. So starvation. Turn to chapter two verse 20. Same book. Behold, O Lord, and consider to whom has done this, shall the women eat their fruit? Turn to chapter four verse 10. The hands of the tender hearted women have boiled their own children. They were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people. Ain't that horrible? Just the thought how hungry people get. Behold, o lord, for I am in distress. My heart is troubled. Mine heart is turned within me for I have grievously rebelled. Boy, that's your way back with God. Quit making excuses. Quit covering it up. Quit playing the blame game. Quit playing the hypocrite with God. Well, I go to church, you know, I do this, that, you know, well, you're worshiping idols. You don't love me like you once loved me. And you persisted in your rebellion for forty years. My heart is troubled and my troubled heart is a guilty heart. It's a heart that's finally overcome. It's the work of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin. Your heart should be troubled. Has turned within me. Now, we differentiate between condemnation though. God's not condemning you as a Christian, he's simply convicting you to restore fellowship. Troubled mind mind heart has turned within me for I have grievously rebelled abroad. The the sword bereaves at home. It is like death. And so the the ramifications of war, everybody's dead. They have heard that I I sigh. There is none to comfort me again. All mine enemies have heard of my trouble. They are glad that thou has done it. Thou will bring the day that thou has called and they shall be like unto me. I'm not gonna be a whiner here, but I will say this. I know of people that have experienced similar things of Kathy and I, where the church our church had what's called a redemption period. They actually call it that. There was a year for somebody to come along and help us, and we could have got our church building back. So it sat in foreclosure for a solid year. And our house, the other house out back, and the Calvary Building, four foreclosures, devastating, prime years of your life, everything you have put into it, you're all in. And God says, I'm gonna take it all. Well, the interim there, you're praying, you're hopeful, you're praying, and you're begging God, begging him. And then he takes the people closest to you that could help you, and he takes them home to heaven. So now you got four people very close to you, and they're dead now. So now you're in a house and you're wailing, you're weeping, you're wondering what you did wrong. How can you fix it? What can we do? Now I know other guys that have had similar things happen and not even as bad as this. And the Christian community rallies around him and is a safety net for him and helps them get back on their feet. That's a beautiful thing to see. But when the lord doesn't show up How about this on the web? Okay. When the lord doesn't show up, when he doesn't when he doesn't intervene and and you had So this have they heard that I sigh, this none to comfort me. All mine enemies have heard of my trouble. They're glad that thou has done it. Thou will bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me. So what he's saying here is that when the day of the Lord comes, you guys are gonna be like me. Jeremiah is saying, all these nations, everybody's getting away with it. But when the day of the Lord comes, the Lord's going to return and he's gonna deal with all the nations that have mistreated the nation of Israel. Let all their wickedness come before thee and do unto them as thou has done unto me. For all my transgressions for my size are many and my heart is faint. And I don't think there's any escape. There's a day coming where the only escape from what's coming from Revelation nineteen nineteen and twenty one, Revelation sixteen twelve through 16, Zechariah fourteen one through nine. That's the tribulation period. That's the time of Jacob's troubles. It's a time when God pours out his wrath upon the whole world, and the only escape is Jesus. We'll be gone. The only escape is is the rapture of the church. Yeah. We'll be gone. Alright. Let's pray. Father, we come before you, Lord, and we thank you for your provision. We thank you that our name is written in lamb's book of life. And, Lord, we thank you for your faithfulness. You are so faithful. Even when it seems like you're not there, when it seems like, Lord, you didn't rescue us at times in our lives. Lord, you've been there with us. You've comforted us. You've gotten us through it. There's lessons to be learned that we can't even comprehend. We don't even know yet. And maybe when we get to heaven, we'll understand better. But Lord, we started out by faith. We continue to walk by faith. And Lord, we thank you that our walking relationship with you deepens in a time of sorrow, in a time of heartache, as we have no one else to depend upon or trust in or hold on to or help us, Lord, but you've been there through thick and thin. You're always there. And and, Lord, we get to know you in ways we never could. So we thank you, Lord. We thank you for the discernment. We thank you for the courage to do what's right in spite of however difficult it may be. And Lord, we pray as we look ahead that once again you'll give us great great discernment, that we'll let go of the world, that we'll be able to navigate, we'll be able to hear, have ears to hear, to know what to do in a time of upheaval when the norm is put on its ear, when it's things that are once normal are upside down. Things don't make sense. Help us not be tricked or deceived by the wicked one. Help us to continue to be led by the comforter who will guide us into all truth. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
