Alright. It's Monday night live here in Bremerton for our bible study. Let's pray. Father, thank you for this time we get to spend together at Rob and Vicky's home. And, Lord, we pray for your blessing upon this time as we worship you, as we fellowship, as we study your word. We pray, Lord, you'd edify, you'd build us up and strengthen us, that our faith would grow, that our love for you would grow, and that we'd minister one to another. Be with those who are sick, Lord. Bring your healing touch upon all their bodies, hearts, minds, and, Lord, glorified. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Hi, George. Hey, I'm Rick. How you doing? Did you get an elk? I got a deer. Oh. Yeah. Hey. Nice. That's good. Alright. Thank you, Rob. Alright. Jeremiah 26. Jeremiah's Boy, he's he's living in a bad time. What's that? Jeremiah. That's what I've been I get every morning, I get it. You've been reading Jeremiah? Yeah. I read for about an hour. Oh, nice. At least a couple chapters. Very good. Oh, yeah. I'm I'm I'm about a chapter behind me. He had a tough job, didn't he? Oh. He wouldn't let know what was gonna happen. They wouldn't listen. They won't listen. Kinda like being the dad. Yeah. Yeah. The kids don't listen. Alright. Father, we come before you, and we thank you that we have the book of Jeremiah sitting here in our hands, Lord, that we have your word. Thank you for all those that gone before us to preserve your holy word. And, Lord, we ask that you would open the scriptures to our understanding that, Lord, we would glean and learn all that we can, that we'd apply these truths to our lives, that you would give us discernment, Lord, that we'd not be in denial about the times in which we're living in, Lord. I pray, Lord, that we'd be more like Jeremiah, not like the people that scoffed and ridiculed him, and help us to be those who are watching, who are ready, who are looking for your soon return, Lord. Let us understand the times we're living in. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Alrighty. In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word from the Lord saying. So this is in about 06/2009 June. It looks like this is a message given that we've already studied in chapter seven. But now we get a commentary on the reaction of everybody to that message that's in chapter seven. So if you went back to chapter seven, you'll see a lot of the same phrases there, a lot of the same emphasis that the city's gonna be destroyed, and the emphasis upon amend your ways. And so they let's see here. That they should amend their ways. And so that's in Jeremiah chapter seven. So around June and four years before the first invasion, the Babylonian invasion. And so thus saith the Lord, stand in the court of the Lord's house and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord's house. All the words that I command thee to speak unto them diminish not a word. So it's a public presentation. He's gonna stand on once all the cities surrounding area of Judah to hear about it. We would liken it to be in maybe Washington DC and have all the cameras on us, and somebody gets up there. Jeremiah gets up there and gives us message to the entire the entire country. And everybody's, you know, on their phones or on their TVs or whatever, and they're all there, you know, able to hear it. And what's interesting here is that, you know, it's the Lord commanding him to stand in the court. It's the Lord that's gonna give him the message, and they've come to worship unto all the city of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord's house. It's his house. And then he says all the words that I command thee to speak unto them and diminish not a word. How important it is it to give the full message. Amen. Amen. Yeah. You ever heard of watering down the message? What's that mean to water down the gospel or water down the message? It's a lie? Yeah. It's a lie. It's a lie. Yeah. Tell people what they wanna hear, not the truth. Yeah. Yeah. And so why would you water it down? If I had some whiskey here and and I was sneaking into my Kathy's mom and dad's liquor cabinet with my friends, And then you would you'd take it down a bit, and you'd mark it, and then you'd add some water to it so you didn't get in trouble. Right? And that's called watering it down. It's not gonna be as strong for the next drinker. Right? George didn't like that, George. Oh, it'd bring back old days. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But the word of god god wants the word of god to be powerful. He wants it to be full potent. You know? Yeah. Full potent. All of it. You know? So what are some ways that the word of god is watered down today so that people it makes it more palatable, more easier to digest for people, less we offend them. The emergent church movement. The emergent church movement? What's that? Just, you know, we take you as you are and, you know, God accepts you. And Yeah. But there's no hard message of repentance. Okay. So that's see, that's the message right there. So accept them as they are, and all that's fine. As far as you know, anybody can come through the door however they are. And and so the unbeliever, we're seeking to get them saved. We don't expect them to clean themselves up to come in. But once a person's saved, we're looking for fruit. We're looking for some evidence that they're really a believer. You know? So if they continue in their homosexuality, if they continue in their drugs, alcohol, aberrant behavior, raging, you know, unfaithful to husbands, wives, and all that, we would say, you know what? I I don't know that you're there's been an inner transformation change in your life. You profess that you know him, but in works, deny him. So we would question the validity of of their profession of faith. So that's one way. Another thing is the filling the seats with people that have not heard how essential it is to repent, like Ravi said. They can come on in and raise their hand and say, yeah, believe in Jesus. Well, the demons say there's one God. Mhmm. You know, you do well. The demons also say there's one God. And so even the demons have an intellectual consent that there's one God, you know? And so consenting that there is a Jesus and that he died on the cross isn't saving faith. It's a turning from our sin, which is repentance, and a dependence, and a a trust in his finished work upon the cross that he was crucified, you know, for us and died in our place, and all of our sins were placed upon him. And so salvation is a free gift, and we appropriate that free gift by faith in the finished work of Jesus upon the cross. And now, like Robbie saying, the emergent church, the Andy Stanley's and a lot of these guys, you know, they take the cross out. They take the repentance out because it might offend somebody. They'll they'll take sin out, the word sin. They'll they'll take and they'll lump all sin, you know, as the they don't differentiate between sin and practicing sin, continuing in sin, a lifestyle of sin. And so now today, many years later, when the merchant church hit, now you have women pastors, you have gay and lesbian preachers, and you've allowed a corruption to come in that's contrary to God's word. It's inconsistent with God's word, so there'd be a twisting of the scriptures and trying to make these things dance and make it work, and and so A a worldly love is the message. A worldly love is the message. Yeah. Mhmm. Yep. And so he's saying, I want you to warn them. You know? Like right now, if we're talking about the soon return of Jesus Christ, and we're talking about the rapture, and we're talking about the tribulation period, we're talking about one world government, and one world monetary system, and one world religious system, we know that only 2% of the churches out there speak that message because that's prophecy. Now the reason why they don't speak that is because the hearer thinks in terms of it's the end of America, and I've got a family to raise, and I've got goals and dreams and things I wanna realize. Don't tell me the world's coming to an end. You know, I don't want the world to come to an end. I don't wanna hear that. And so the pastors know that, and so what the pastor says, I don't wanna scare them. Mhmm. I don't wanna scare them. I don't want them to be afraid, so I can't really talk about that stuff. And now you've got people that aren't prepared for the most glorious event in all of human history, which is Jesus coming for his bride, coming for the church. And not only that, but the second coming where everything's gonna be made right. You know? So you leave so much out. Now turn to Revelation chapter 22, a warning there. Now remember, only 2% of the churches teach the book of Revelation according to recent polls. He says verse 18 of 22, for I testify unto every man that hears the words of this prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away, which means to diminish. Right? Take away from the words of the book of this prophecy. God shall take away his part from the tree of life and out of the holy city and from things which are written in this book. So that's pretty serious. And then at the beginning of the book, God pronounces a blessing in chapter one. Turn there. Verse three, blesses he that reads and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it for the time is at hand. So why wouldn't why wouldn't you as a pastor take the and teach the book of Revelation when the bible says it's a blessing. There's a blessing for those who hear it. I mean, even if you can't teach it, just read it to your congregation. Just read. He says there's a blessing for those that hear it, that read it. Just read it. You know? And the word of God is powerful enough that the word of God can speak to people. And and if you're a pastor and you're afraid of the book of Revelation, then you shouldn't be a pastor because the bible says to study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be shamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. So there's no there's no profession. There's no calling in life that you don't need to prepare yourself for and do your due diligence, do your part. So you you So, pastor, to go just go with that, not to interrupt, but if anyone removes any of these words in this prophetic book, god will remove that person's name. So if you don't if you're afraid to even preach the book, preach from it, you're, in essence, removing they're they're not receiving any blessing. Well, he he's yeah. And he and he's also it's negating them the blessing of it, but a lot of them just avoid it. Like, you know, hey. It's it's too hard to understand. You know? So, yeah, I I I I don't wanna leave anything out. So let's go to something as simple as the gospel. Something as simple as the gospel. So every church should be preaching the gospel. So what is the gospel message? How would you diminish the gospel message to make it more palatable, make or water down the gospel so that people like it? How do you do that? Jesus is not the only way. Well, that's not that's number one. You would you would you would broaden the road rather than a narrow way. You'd broaden it, and you'd say that Jesus, you know, there's many roads to heaven. Now that's not the true gospel, but it's the gospel of Oprah and George Bush and, you know, other people. Right? Mhmm. And and it's a likable statement. Everyone will like you then because now you're not now you're not alienated in any group. Right? When you go with the exclusivity of Jesus Christ, there's no other way. You're making enemies. There's a whole lot of people out there, whole lot of religious people that are angry at you. Know, why is Jesus the only way? You know? Yeah. So that's a good one. What else? If somebody who's called to be a pastor is told to give the full counsel of God, which is the whole bible, and doesn't and says they don't understand it, that's why they don't teach it, then does that mean they're not filled with the holy spirit, and maybe they're not truly saved? It could go that far. It could. And I I I was really off with that. Well, I would agree that when you're first starting out, it's intimidating. But I'm talking about a pastor. Well, I'm talking about a new pastor. A new pastor, it can be intimidating. It's it's like, you know, I'm I'm haven't taught through the whole bible yet. You know? And so but again, like you're saying, you rely upon the holy spirit. Everything's a step of faith. Yeah. So many so much of what we do just get up in front of people. When I had the when we had the Roxy, and I'd get up in front of people or even in class at school, and I had to get up in front of people. It it was super hard. It was a huge stretch. You know? And and then eventually, you know, the Lord gives you the courage, and he he makes you more comfortable in your calling. You know? But there's a there's definitely a growing period and a stretching that takes place. These are past It's a step of faith. Who've been in the pulpit for years and years and they're still not teaching. Yeah. Yeah. They they've done the demographics and they understand that the majority of the people, it scares them. It's gonna scare them. So they wanna play to the big field. They wanna play to the huge amount of people, the broader group of people. So that those are good points. Now, another one is tell me another one. I can tell you, but tell me what else that's left out of the gospel, the true gospel. So think in terms of John the Baptist or Jesus, apostle Paul, how do they present the gospel, and how today are people diminishing from the truth holding back? Say a prayer. Say a prayer. Just say a prayer, and you're you're good. I mean, it removes the faith and reliance thereon. It's just a mental ascent as opposed to that faith and reliance thereon. What about the word hell? There's no hell. Yeah. No hell. No hell anymore. Mhmm. No Not allowed to talk about hell. Right? Yeah. When's the last time you heard a sermon, you know, where the word hell's mentioned? Last week. So Jesus talked more about hell than he did heaven. Yeah. Now heaven is what I would call the sugar, the candy, and everybody loves candy. So as a pastor, when I get a message that sugar, I know it's gonna go over well. I know we're gonna have some fun. Now if I have food that I have to prepare that when it gets in your belly is gonna be bitter, it's hard because I know there's gonna be people I'm gonna rub them the wrong way, but I have to give it. I can't just give the sweets. I gotta I gotta give the bitter pill also. You gotta swallow the bitter pill also. So, like, on Sunday, if we're talking about adultery and we're talking about unfaithfulness and things that people don't wanna think about, for some, it's gonna be a bitter pill to swallow. It's gonna be something why is he talking about that? You know? Just sin in general, the word sin, hell, repentance, the cross, self, dying to self, dying to self. If if Jesus said, if any man come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. That's not a popular message. Right? But it's biblical. So a lot of what we're dealing with today is an obsession with self. It's been it's been that like that from the Garden of Eden. The very root problem of man is his selfishness, is his his wanting to be God, to be in control. And so becoming a Christian is death to sell, no longer us living, but Christ living through us. And that's although it may sound simple in application, it's very difficult for people to be willing, like Robbie's pointing out the intellectual consent, to be willing when you're coming to Jesus, you're dying. You're turning from your old life. You're coming to him now, and you have no rights. You know? But Jesus presented in such a way that he's a genie, and you'll have your best life now. You just just pray the prayer right, do this formula. Vicky was in that sort of a group for many years, the health, wealth, and prosperity group, and it's it's a formula. It's a formula to get God to do to fulfill all your dreams. You know? So, unfortunately, in China, in Iran, in in places where the church is under persecution, they recognize the cost. Before they come to Christ, they count the cost. If I come to Christ, it might cost me my life. If I come to Christ, it might cost me my family. Everything is on the table. Jesus is lord of all or he's lord not at all. Right? It's it's it's all or nothing. So and that's that's the part that's lacking in The United States with the prosperity that we've enjoyed is God must be pleased with me. Look how prosperous I am. You know? Pastor Rick, on the twenty two nineteen that you said, if anybody takes away from the words of this book, it says, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city which are written in this book. Does that mean you're taking the name out of the book of life? So someone say this. Someone say it this way. Every single person's name is in the book of life to begin with. And when they reject Christ, that's when their name's blotted out. But this seems to imply just speaking words takes away from the words of this book. Well, it would indicate that the person's not a believer, that the person's a false prophet, and that false prophet has no part in eternity. I mean, that would be the implication. Yeah. You would have to assume that, but it doesn't say that. I I just find it So what's the one sin that keeps you from Unbelief. Blasphemy of the holy spirit. Yeah. So this would be an indicator the person has never believed in the lord, in my view. The only thing that keeps you out of heaven is blasphemy of the holy spirit. So if he's saying if he if he's saying, you know, like, away from me, I never knew you. It's an indicator a person may profess, but in these actions, it shows they they never knew him. Why would why would a believer take away, you know, from this book? So I could see Judas doing it, an apostate doing it. Well, the Mormons and the Catholics and Yeah. They do it all the time. Yeah. I mean, those are the extreme cases, but my mind just thinks of a poor innocent fool who I don't think that I don't think it's like that. It's there would be a sense of conviction, and and God always gives space to repent. You know, to be a person that persists in that, you know, persists in in that unbelief. Even Judas, he did what he did to the Lord, the Lord gave him space to repent. At that moment, that portion there, betrayest thou the son of man with a kiss. There's even that point where Judas could even though he's previously called the son of perdition, that Satan entered him, it looks in the Garden Of Gethsemane like Jesus still gave him a chance. That's how I view it. Tell your last breath. But blasphemy of the spirit, Jesus was warning those guys when they were attributing his miracles to Beelzebub. They were on they were on thin earth. They were getting very close to blasphemy, attributing the works of God to the devil. You know? So he was warning them. Good question, though. I'll write a book on it someday. Alright. Thus saith the Lord, verse two, stand in the court of the Lord's house. So there's times where we have to stand. Jeremiah's gonna stand alone. It I heard a guy talk about the Navy SEALs that carry this big long log, and I might have told you about it before. But carrying that huge log with six, seven, eight, nine SEALs running in the beach in Coronado can be a pretty doable thing. But if if people that you started with as a Christian start to fade, start to drop off, you can reach a point where you feel all alone in that message, standing in that community with that message where you used to have sweet fellowship. So many people used to, you know, we used to agree, and now people are falling away into so much aberrant behavior and stuff. Kathy says all the time, why does so and so still go to that church? Why do they go there when they know they're not preaching the gospel? They know what they're doing is wrong. Why do they keep going there? And I told her because it's pleasurable, because it's their friends, it's their family, it's their and they're in denial. They don't have to deal with reality. It's it's a social club, and and people like, you know, that fellowship. They like being with in that regard. So it it's mind boggling, but there's a lot of times where a congregation will turn on a pastor that's trying to, you know, tell the truth and the elders will take them aside and they'll say, you better tone it down, bud. You better knock it off. We're not gonna tolerate this. You know? That's what you call a hireling. That's a guy that he gets hired by the board, and then the board kinda directs him toward, you know what? The tithes and offering's a little low. We need you to do six weeks on giving again. So now he's gotta do six weeks messages in a row on trying to get people to give. It's a it's a funding campaign. You know? And today when I was calling our church insurance company, they had a little advertisement there saying, we can help you with your fundraising. I'm like, what fundraising? And then they went into this whole spiel how nonprofit groups and churches, you know, must do fundraising. And I'm like, what fundraising, man? What fundraising? This make me making me feel like like, does everybody do this? Does everybody have a scam? Do they have sort of a commercial and a scam, the whole thing? You know? It's mind boggling. But but in any event, it's a big deal in a lot of churches. And so the pastors have to go along with that, and they have to do six weeks of this, that, and the other. And then if they, you know, if they get into another area that's real strong in their heart, they they're told no, that's you know, so you're a hireling. You're kinda like in Pollyanna, the pastor had to please Pollyanna's grandma, you know. You have to do what the big donor is doing or you're gonna get cut off. You know? You're gonna lose your job. And so Jeremiah is all alone, he's not alone. The Lord's there with him. And because he's not relying on men, even his own family, Nantoth is against him. So complete reliance upon the Lord. I like to look at at things in terms of risk and reward. Some people are unwilling to take a risk because it might mean they lose everything. They everything's calculated. Everything's down to, you know, I'm only going to risk if the reward's big, if I get a return on this risk, if I get in turn. Where others would say, well, I'm gonna trust the Lord. I'm all in, Lord. I'm all in. And you decide. You decide what reward you wanna do. You might have to wait till you hear the Lord say, well done, thy good and faithful servant. But a lot of what we do is calculated in the short term in that this is too risky. I might lose a bunch of people. I might lose, you know, the everything that we're trying to build here. And so you have you have hireling. You have people unwilling to stand and and trust in the Lord and just just go for it. So Jeremiah is gonna stand in the court. This is public. He's not concerned about a separation of church and state. He's not concerned about who likes them, who doesn't like them. He it's not a politician. He's not gonna get anything out of it. He's simply there with a message that God's given him, and I get so incredibly excited when I'm entrusted with God's word and so should you when we go for it with the glorious gospel and we don't diminish it, we go with both barrels with what God's given us, we can't go wrong. It doesn't matter what they say. The only way you can fail is by diminishing. Even if you get 10 people to like you and you water down God's word, you lost. You lost. You lost him. You lost his favor. Why would you wanna do that? Why not go for it and let him decide who's gonna how many are gonna come or how many are gonna go, you know? That's up to him. Our job is to proclaim the truth for those who respond to make disciples. So we're here tonight. You're disciples. I'm a disciple. We're learners. We're studying the bible. We have a bible study. That's that's fulfilling the great commission right there. That's what that's what we're doing. Now if it multiplies or or it adds or subtracts, whatever the arithmetic is, I'm not in control of that. Nothing I can do. I can't change the message to make it more palatable for people. Now let me give an example. In the Rick Warren era of these and maybe the churches are still doing it. Big churches would have these little meetings, and they would not study the bible. They would have a facilitator that would direct them toward maybe what Sunday's message was, what the pastor was saying, but they would start the meeting with wine coolers to break the ice. They call them icebreakers. Now George is a recovering alcoholic. He's got sixty some days sober. Right? Actually, it's forty forty five months. Forty five months. My daughter's got thirty seven days. Okay. So if we were stupid enough to want people to like us that much that we said, hey, George. Come on Monday night and bring your wine coolers. What kind of idiots would we be? I mean, can can you can you be a bigger idiot? I don't know how you could be a bigger idiot than to tempt somebody in a bible study place where they're supposed to feel safe, but now you're gonna reintroduce people to things that could totally crash and burn. You know? Are you kidding me? You know? They're brewing beer at the churches, and what would Jesus brew, and poker, and playing poker on Tuesdays at Seaside Church, and having having beers, and and trying to draw the men in because we want the men to come in because only the women are going to church. Maybe if we have a poker and a cigar and a and a beer night on Tuesdays, the guys would come because they'd feel like men. You know? It's idiocy. It it's it's beyond diminishing from the word. It's it's it's demonic. You know? But the people love us so, and they keep going back for more. And so Jeremiah is not like that. He's not gonna say, hey, guys. Can we go have a drink? Let's go have a drink. No? He's he's not gonna do that. Can I answer that? Sure. I don't I always always used to look at myself as a recovering alcoholic, but I've been transformed inside. I'm a brand new person now. Amen. Amen. Yeah. And I don't look at myself as a recovering alcoholic anymore. I look at myself as a brand new person. Right. I still have this old selfish flesh on me. Right. But I look at myself as a transform a a a transformed person inside because of the holy spirit. Yeah. And I it's cool. Yeah. It really is cool. But we would say it this way in our love for you, we wouldn't wanna do something that might cause you to stumble. Yeah. So we we wanna encourage you in your fight against the flesh, and that transformation inside is power enough. There's plenty of power there. You don't need our help. Anybody. The holy spirit's helping you. But they're they're Michael Rodriguez, if he's watching, he's got a testimony of his wife praying for him to become a Christian for many years, and he had a huge drug and alcohol problem. And he finally came to church and and started to come to church with his wife until he got around some of the men in the church and they started drinking with him. And he relapsed and he went, like, fifteen more years, I wanna say. He'll probably chime in if him and Carol are watching, but years later, years later, till finally he almost died from from some of the painkillers that he was taking for his back and that overwhelmed him. But I I have no doubt that at work and at family reunions and places, people are drinking and people doing drugs, people doing everything, and we as Christians need to resist temptation. But in the church, Jesus said it'd be better for you to have a millstone around your neck than to stumble in one of these little ones. You you in the church is a place of the sanctuary, a place where it shouldn't be bowling and drinking beers, you know, in the basement of the church. It shouldn't be like that. We should have no fellowship with darkness, you know, come out from it and have no fellowship with it. A separation, complete separation. And then you, in your in your liberty, your freedom, you know, all things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient, and I won't be brought under the power of any. And so I can do anything I want, but I ask the question, will this help me get closer to Jesus? I don't see how wine coolers are gonna help anybody get closer to Jesus. Mhmm. There's a greater danger that it might take them away from Jesus. So don't exercise your liberty in such a way that it has the greater potential of causing somebody to stumble. It's idiocy. It's just complete. I can't see Jesus doing that. I can't see the apostle Paul and people doing that to get people to come to church. It's just a marketing scam. It's diminishing the word of God. They're not spending time on the word of God. They're not teaching people the word of God. It's just an again, another social enterprise to try and get people to become members in your church, you know, which isn't even biblical. Alright. So don't diminish. So if I'm thinking in terms of the apostle Paul in acts chapter 20, and I spent three years in Ephesus established in the church, and then I go to the island of Melina and I have a going away party because I'm leaving and I'm talking to the pastors, and what did Paul say in acts chapter 20 that made him innocent? Acts chapter 20 verse 27 made him innocent of the blood because see the blood would be upon him. There'd be blood on him. His responsibility, he would be responsible. He presented the full gospel on unfiltered Undiminished. Undiminished. He didn't diminish he went for the space of three years. I gave you the full counsel of God. Right? Space of three years, and that made him innocent. The ball was in their court now. That's why it takes me two hours sometimes to do the full counsel of God. It takes time. Amen. I can't leave any words out. Right? It's alright. Alright. Little joke there, man. Okay. Diminish not a word. If so be they will hearken and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent of the evil which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings. Mhmm. So mention of evil three times. You know? God wants them to repent. He's given them space for repentance. The message is one of repentance, calling them to repentance. How could we do any less? How could we leave the word repentance out? As Robbie said, it might be we skip all that. We just say, hey. Pray the prayer. Pray the prayer. And, well, what's it mean to pray the prayer? What are we doing when we pray the prayer? Don't we explain? You know, the Philippian jailer, it was pretty simple for him. What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, now we need to find our terms. What's it mean to believe? So I'm sure he got disciple, but Paul knew he was at the place of repentance. He was he was, you know, prostrate and even the apostle Paul when he was on the road to Damascus and the lord smote him, you know, with the light and he's down on the ground and he says, who art thou lord? That expression, who art thou lord shows submission. It shows repentance. He's not defying God anymore. He's not the enemy of the cross anymore. Who art thou Lord? And he says, I'm Jesus whom you're persecuting. Right? Can you continue to kick against the goads? Paul was resisting the Holy Spirit. God arrested him there. And we see his posture. We see his mannerism. He's already at a place of conversion right there. Right there. Who art thou, Lord? And so we wanna bring the person to to the place of submission, submission unto Jesus. How do you convey? How do you communicate the gospel in such a way that a person would come to that place of submission to Jesus? Repentance. Mhmm. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. When you repent, that action, that change in your mind and your will is submission to Jesus, and that's that's salvation. Alright. So he's asking them to submit their will to him, to quit sinning, and which I purpose to do into them because of the evil of their doings. And so God's saying and when it speaks of the Lord repenting, it's impossible that God would change, but it's a it's an expression here, a sigh of relief. God will do everything he can just as you as a parent, just as us as Christians. We really don't wanna fight. We really don't wanna go the hard road with people. We really don't wanna spank our kids. You know? We admonish him, encourage him. Don't do that. Please stop doing that. Stop doing that. You know? And and when they say, I'm sorry, there's a sigh of relief because we don't have to raise the bar. We don't have to raise the bar to the point of, you know, punishing them. And and our punishing, the God's punishing towards us is not punitive. It is for the world, but for the child of God, it's corrective, to correct our behavior, to train behavior, to whom the lord loves, he chastens, and he scourges every Sunday. Pain's a good motivator. Pain gets our attention. If he's gotta use pain, he will because he loves us. But in this case here, you know, what he's threatening them with, what he's warning them of is you're gonna lose everything. Nebuchadnezzar's gonna come from Babylon. He's gonna destroy the city, gonna destroy everything. A lot of you are gonna die. You need to turn from those foreign gods you're worshiping. You need to turn from the idols. You need to quit doing this. Now he didn't do it just for six weeks. Jeremiah's gonna be saying the same message for forty years. And way back Hezekiah seventy years earlier to the nations, the same message. So he's sending them early and late. Early and late, he's sending these prophets to these people to try and get them to wake up. You know? Do you think America's awake? What would it take to wake America up? He's going to sleep. He's going to sleep? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, what would it take to wake him up? I mean, what's the responsibility of the preacher? What's the responsibility of the Christian television? What's their message? I haven't watched it in probably twenty years, but what's the message on there? Is there a message of repentance? No. Call in the nation under repentance? No. Is anybody? Uh-huh. That's what it needs to be. Yeah. I'm sure, but that's not what it is. And that's unfortunate. So I don't I don't know what their message is. Without that, what is there? Oh, there's a catastrophe. They they come together, but not necessarily in spiritual way. It's in a earthly way. Yeah. It seems what most Christians are looking for Like a twin towers. Is a Donald Trump. Yeah. Most Christians are looking for a Donald Trump that will give them everything back that's being taken away because of the evil. Right? And that doesn't have to be Donald. Just somebody that postures to themselves with that message is what the Christians are looking for. You know? That's what they want. I mean, they're preaching they're preaching revival. That's all they're preaching. Are they preaching revival? Revival. They are doing that? Yeah. Preaching They're revival, but revival from what? And and and you have to have repentance before you can be revived. And they're they're they're not preaching repentance. So revival means, hey. Let's let's get our best life now back again. Revival. There's a huge blessing in revival. There's prosperity in revival. God's blessing during revival. So if they're looking at revival in the sense of bless us again, you know you know I mean? Negating the the the importance of holiness of repentance and turning from sin. So like Johnny was talking about nine eleven. Nine eleven, you had the politicians, everybody come together because of the crisis and the church swelled up. And then when the crisis is over, everybody's back to status quo, you know. Backwards. Backwards. Back again. Yeah. Alright. So thou shalt say unto them, thus saith the Lord, if you will not hearken to me to walk in my law, which I have before you, notice to hearken to the words of my servants, the prophets, whom I sent unto you both rising up early and sending them, but you have not you have not hearkened. And so there's a a problem of you will not hear. You you you just won't hear. And in Ezekiel thirty three eleven, there's a verse there that I use often when I'm sharing the gospel, and the prophet is God speaking through Ezekiel, and he's saying, turn ye, turn ye. Turn ye means repent. Repent. Right? Turn ye, turn ye. For why will you die in your sins, O house of Israel? God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his sin. Turn ye. Turn ye. For why will you die in your sins? He's pleading. He's pleading with the nation. I don't want to judge you. I don't want you to go to hell. Right? That's the pleading. And we we should plead that way when we share the gospel. We should show the heart of God that he takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He made hell for the devil and the fallen angels. He didn't make hell for human beings. But if you don't want heaven, if you don't want him, if you don't want Jesus, there's only door number two. And nobody goes to heaven being sent. People go to heaven by excuse me, hell. Nobody goes nobody sent to hell. People go to hell by choosing hell over heaven, which is through Jesus. By rejecting Jesus, they're choosing hell. And so that's important distinction for people to understand that that he's not willing that any would perish, that all would come to repentance. God's long suffering. He's long suffering putting up with this for so long. He's so patient in second Peter three verse nine. Right? And so he's he's crying out. So the scoffers come along and we tell him that the rapture is coming, that tribulation period's all shaping up. And when you see these things begin to happen, you know, look up. Well, we can see these things begin to happen. We're looking up. They don't like the doctrine of the rapture. They don't like it. They're they're tired of hearing it. They've been hearing it for so long. Well, they're willingly ignorant because God says one day is a thousand years, a thousand years is one day. The reason it hasn't happened yet, he's long suffering. Amen. He wants more people to get saved. So he's willing he's willing to wait to judge the world because in this dispensation of grace in the church age, he's calling, whosoever will, let him come. Let him come. And and that's the only reason he's not come sooner. And so but you have not hearkened. You won't hear. Not you can hear, but you won't hear. And then it says, then will I make this house like Shiloh and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth. So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord. Oh, man. They're mad now. Shiloh got destroyed. Shiloh, if we look at first Samuel chapter four, we can we can turn there, and also Psalm seventy eight fifty six through 64. But in in I'll I'll just tell you what happened first Samuel. In first Samuel chapter four, the children of Israel, they went to war with the Philistines. And the tabernacle was in Shiloh and the ark of the covenant was in Shiloh. The ark of the covenant is God in a box. Right? God in a box. And so what's in the ark of the covenant? Manor. Tank and commandments. Commandments and what else? Manor from heaven. Manor from heaven. So you put Rod that budded. The rod that budded. Aaron's rod that budded. Any honey or anything? No? Okay. Alright. So you got that. I saw it later. Rage is lost art. Right? Okay. So so so they got they got the ark of the covenant there. Now there's a priest named Eli. He's 98 years old, and he's kinda heavy. The King James says, he's heavy. Right? And he's sitting on a little wall. He's gotta sit down. And he's got two sons that are helping him in the priesthood, Hophni and Phinehas. And the Philistines start to whoop on the children of Israel, and and they're they're coming after him. And so they get this bright idea. Well, let's let's take the ark of the covenant. Let's bring it out into the battlefield so that God's presence will be there with us. And there's, like, 4,000 that died the first time. And then after they did that, I think there's, like, over I forget how many it was, but somebody will have to look. I think it's, like, 40,000 died ultimately. And the ark was taken. The Philistines had the ark now, so the children of Israel lost the ark. And when one of the guys from the war came back and he's telling Eli, the priest, what happened, Eli hears that his sons died, and he's like, cool. Okay. They're jerks anyway. No. But then when he heard that the ark was taken, that that just was overwhelming, and he fell backwards and he broke his neck, and he died right there, 98 years old, heavy. And now the his daughter-in-law was pregnant at that time, and she's the wife of of Phineas. And when she heard about it, she died bearing giving birth to this child, but she named the child Ichabod. You ever heard the word Ichabod? Mhmm. And you know what that means? Ichabod means the glory of the Lord has departed. Yeah. You ever heard that? Yeah. So you got the Shekinah glory of God, And when God leaves a place, it's Ichabod, the glory of the Lord has departed. So by the ark going, you know, to the Philistines and the Philistines, they they really don't want that ark. You know, later David's gonna get it back, but they're gonna get boils and hemorrhoids and all other sorts of stuff having that around. It's it's not a good thing for them to have. You know? And they're gonna be hurting for certain. But in any event, Shiloh's destroyed. So when these guys hear this, because they didn't have a temple yet, this was like a a temporary place for for the art until later the temple would be built. And at the threshing floor of Aruna, which is Moriah, David offered unto the Lord that which cost him nothing. So he he made an offering and and got the the ark of the covenant back away from from a man named Aruna. Okay. So Isn't Eli Eli also considered a very poor father? He's a very passive father. He let his sons Yeah. He he had he had sons that were taking bribes and everything. Yeah. And he was judged in part for his failure as a father? I don't know if you go that far with it. He's 98 years old. Somewhere. He's 98 years old. That doesn't look like a judgment. If you look at the judgment, what happened upon him at that point Mhmm. The people wanted a king because they didn't trust Samuel's sons. And excuse me. They didn't trust Eli. Eli's sons Samuel's a prophet, Eli's a priest, and they wanted a king and they got king Saul. And then Eli was a poor father. Hophni and Phineas were doing some terrible things. So too with Aaron, Aaron's sons, they offered strange fire into the Lord, and the Lord executed them also. But, yeah, you could definitely build a case if you look further at Eli, he was a poor father. Samuel was raised. Remember his mom brought Samuel to Eli, and and Samuel was raised there at the feet of Eli. Year by year, Hannah would come and bring him a new coat and all. So Samuel, the last of the judges, first prophet and a true prophet, God was using him. But, yeah, Eli Eli had two sons that the Bible says were taking bribes and doing bad things, and I don't know that the judgment somewhere. I'm at I don't know that the judgment was upon him because he was a bad father. God had to kill almost all the guys being bad. David was a bad father. You know? But you can definitely do a teaching on the the importance of of, you know, raising up kids that are gonna gonna gonna follow the Lord and marry the Lord. You certainly don't want the corruption in the priesthood of kids that are using their position, you know, with bribes, like the Biden family. Same thing as the Biden family. I mean, it's a horrible thing to watch what they're getting away with. That position that they have warrants a greater behavior, that greater integrity and character as we know. But when I'm reading chapter four there, it was more of the the, hey. My boys are bad. I'm a bad father, but I take this serious in regard to the ark. Been doing this my whole life. He's 98 years old, and the thought of the Philistines having these Gentiles having the ark of the covenant, he knew that was that was a bad deal. And it shocked him. It changed his composure, lost his balance, fell over backwards, and so there you have it. Hezekiah was a bad a bad father, the son Manasseh that he had. Lot a lot of us regret Is anybody here a good father? One of the things I think I talked about is that he he was essentially a good man. He he loved the things of the lord. He was in the temple. He, you know, he didn't drink. He didn't, you know, he didn't do any of those things. Yeah. He was a horrible father. Anyway and and I know I read somewhere where it talked about a judgment of sorts, but I don't remember where I saw that. Well, definitely his sons were judged. They died in they died in battle there. The lord dealt with them, and and Aaron's sons were judged as they were offering strange fire. And so and Hofney and Phineas, and it'll come to me in a minute. Nadab and Abihu. Nadab and Abihu were Aaron's sons, and they were bad, and they offered strange fire. Some would say that Moses was a a poor father. He was moved in a direction by his wife to not circumcise circumcise his sons and Gershom. And Moses almost died, and then all of a sudden his wife went over there and circumcised him real quick and said, you're a bloody man and threw the foreskins, and then Moses Moses recovered. Moses needed to obey God, not his wife. Remember that? She's that's a good story for her. She likes that. Likes that. She likes that one. Okay. You like seeing your husband that bad. Yeah. Move and rattle. Okay. Are we moving along? Can we go? Do you wanna go? Yep. I got some more for you. They're coming to me now. Alright. Alright. Vicky's never heard that one. She listened to all my sermons. That the first time I told her that. Have heard. It's not on my notes. Alright. Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and I'll make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth. So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord. So public, political, it's everything. It's all out in front there. Now it came to pass when Jeremiah had ceased speaking all the the lord had commanded him to speak unto all the people. So for me, when I see that, that phrase there, that to me is success. That to me, I just did my job. Now I can't control what happens after church or after the bible study, what your reaction is. And believe me, all these years doing this, you're always wondering what's gonna be their reaction. Is this the day they'll leave the church? Is this the day? And but if I know that I gave God's word, that's where I have to rest. I have to rest there, and I have to rest the results. So I can't make people respond the right way. You know? I just can't. And that's why I keep saying to you guys over and over, it's so fortunate. I'm so fortunate to finally have a group of people that are seeking Jesus. They they want to know Jesus. I can do that. Mhmm. I can do that. All that other stuff trying to keep people happy, parking and Sunday school and all that, I I I failed. I failed. I can't I can't do it. But this I can do. I can I can study the word and give out the message, you know, within the word and and then rest in, alright, Lord, it's your church? If they respond if they all leave, Lord, because it's too hard of a message, there's nothing I can do about it. You know? I can't diminish. I can't water it down. But I finally have a group of people that are hungry for the word of God and want to know you know? In fact, I'm surprised there's as many people still at Calvary Bermington as there is. I thought when COVID happened, it swelled up. I thought they'd just leave as soon as things got easy again. But some have decided to stay. And so Did you speak to church? That's that's the that's the but this is where I this is where I'm comforted is that I know that, alright, I stayed with the word of God, and as much as in me, I've stayed with the word of God. So now it came to pass when Jeremiah had ceased speaking all the the Lord had commanded him to speak unto the people. So he didn't diminish anything, the priests. So you got the false peace here. You got the priests, the prophets, and the people took him saying, thou shalt surely die. So the message didn't go over very well. So when Rick Warren started the purpose driven life, the purpose driven books, he went door to door and knocked on people's houses and asked them, what do you want in a church? Is God asking you what you want in his church? Mhmm. Is he doing a poll? You know? Is he a people pleaser? You know? So then what they did is they geared that their church style to what the people want, which means more music, less Bible. And then he taught the pastors, the more of the Bible you teach, the smaller your church will be based upon the demographic of what the people want. So he should have read what Paul told Timothy in the last days. People will not be able to endure sound doctrine, but will heap under the themselves teachers having itchy ears, which means which means I want a teacher that's gonna scratch me where I itch, that tells me what I wanna hear. And what's the result? Feel good messages Mhmm. With very little of the word of God, more therapeutic and, you know, psychological. And so the people are rejection of the word. So why has thou prophesied in the name of the Lord saying, this house shall be like Shiloh? Why are you doing that? And this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant, and all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the Lord. I mean, this is they're gonna tar and feather him. They're they're gonna take and burn him at the stake. Right? Do you know what an ordeal is? I've taught you what an ordeal is. Boy, I really went through an ordeal. Do you know what an ordeal is? Try them. These guys would take a guy like Jeremiah, and they would tie him up, and they might put him, you know, on a pole and light it on fire, or they might take and throw him in the water. He's bound. And they would stand back and they'd say, if he's truly a man of God, God will release him. If he's a sinner, he's gonna drown. That's an ordeal. That's what these people would do, guys like Jeremiah. You know? You see what I mean? It's called an ordeal. That's where they got the tone. I really had an ordeal. You know? I didn't know I was gonna get out of that one. And so now another thing to remember is when you're rejected, rejection is a huge part of it. If you're in sales, don't know how they teach you about, you know, how many numbers you have to call me, doors you're gonna knock on you, whatever. Don't worry about rejection. You know, it's that one person that says yes. Alright? You know, that's what so but not everybody's cut out for that. Not everybody's cut out for that much rejection all you know, over and over and over and over. If you're afraid of rejection, you're not gonna open your mouth to share the gospel because majority of the people are gonna reject you. It's fun catching fish where every time you cast, they bite. Just reel them in. Right? It's a bummer being fishers of men and throwing it out, throwing it out, throwing that lure out. You know? But, you know, somebody was patient with you. So you know I mean? So it's not conversion. It's it's doing what we're supposed to do. So one man sows, you sow the seed out. You're faithful in sowing the seed out. Another guy comes along and waters it, and God in his timing brings the increase. He's the one that saves. Our job is to faithfully put the seed. The seed is the word of God. Put the sow the word of God in their lives. Another person comes along and they can't listen to you because you're their parents, you're their family member, a friend. Mhmm. Somebody else comes along because Jesus said a prophet is not without an honor except in his own home, his own community. Right? So somebody else comes along and waters that, and the holy spirit's been working because you've been praying, and the Lord does that miracle of conversion. So when you're rejected and you feel like a failure, ask yourself, how is Jesus treated? How is the apostle Paul treated? You're not gonna be the most famous, powerful, well liked person. They're not gonna like you. If they're if there's woe unto you, Jesus said, when all men speak well of you. If the world likes you and you're a Christian evangelist and they like you and give you an award, you're in a bad place. Can you picture Jesus getting award from the government of Rome? Pilate giving him award? Evangelist of the year? Man of the year. Yeah. Can you picture that? It doesn't happen, does it? So somebody's compromising. Somebody's compromising. The prophet is compromising if the world likes you. If they like you, if the world likes you, you're in trouble. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Right? Love not the world. So the world you have to understand, the devil and the world hate your God. And if you're representing your God faithfully, you too are gonna be hated. Jesus promised you, if they've hated me, they're gonna hate you. So get over it. When people don't like me, I tell them, get in line. Now before I was a pastor before I was a pastor, I knew how to get people to like me. You you you do your job. You do it well as best you can, and they reward you afterwards. They write a check, and you drive away. And if they don't like you, I always had a policy. I'd go back and I'd redo it. I don't want anybody not to like me. I wanna be a happy customer. Right? But you can't do you can't do that in this. You can't do that. You have to you have to do it. Whatsoever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. Your services to Jesus. You're doing this to please him. People are fickle. One time they're gonna love you, and people come up. This is the greatest church ever. You're the best pastor ever. And then within weeks, they hate my guts. It happens all the time. So I told Rob and Vicky, I said, you guys aren't gonna last. You're gonna hate me in a while. They reminded me last week, you know, you told us that we'd hate you. We we're still going. Yeah. You are. I don't know how you're doing it, but you're still doing it. Everybody eventually hates me. So it's it's so why has thou prophesied in the name of the of the Lord saying, this house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant, and the people are gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the Lord? When the princes so here's the fourth p. What are the four p's in a good sermon? You got the priests, the prophets, the people, and now the princes. That's that's just a that's a little joke because we like to alliterate our points. Right? That's a great sermon right there. Look at that. Literation, politics. Oh, man. We could do we could bring the peace. Five peace. A five peace sermon. There it is. So when the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house under the house of the lord and sat down in the entrance of the new gate of the lord's house. So these are the government gangsters. These are the this is the deep state. These are the this is the CIA that kills JFK and says, you know, Lee Harvey Oswald did it. And you people that question us, you are conspiracy theorists. Oh. You know? Mhmm. And and so this is much like the trials of Jesus. Right? This is what Jesus went through. When Jesus was apprehended, he went through six trials in one night. One night. And they weren't legal. They weren't legal trials. It was against it was against Judaism what they did. So immediately, they took him from the Garden Of Gethsemane. They took him over to the home of Annas. Annas was the prior high priest, but he was very powerful. So they went to his house first, then they went to the home of Caiaphas. Caiaphas was his son-in-law who was the official high priest. And then after Caiaphas, they went before the Sanhedrin, the official Jewish, you know, governmental religious government, and they got him, Jesus, to the place of claiming that he's God. The charges against Jesus was blasphemy. The punishment of blasphemy would be taken out and stone him, but they didn't have right of capital punishment. Even though they stoned Stephen later, they didn't have the right of capital punishment that was taken from them by the Romans. So then they take him before Pontius Pilate, and Pilate wants to find a loophole. His his wife had had a dream and didn't that have nothing to do with this just man and all that, and he wants to somehow get out of it. But the political expediency, the pressure that was on him politically, finally, heard, oh, Herod's jurisdiction. He sends him over to Herod, And Herod always wanted Herod, the one that beheaded John the Baptist, always wanted to see Jesus meet Jesus, have him do a miracle or whatever. Jesus opened not his mouth, had nothing to say to Herod. And they they mocked him, and they beat on him, hit him with rods and stuff, and he's getting beat on. Everywhere he's going, he's getting beat on. And the sixth trial that evening toward the morning was before Pontius Pilot the second time at the pavement, the judgment hall. And the people who four days earlier were shouting out, Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna, save now, save now, save now. Now the people are there at the pavement coaxed by the religious leaders, and now they're crying out what? And what else? Let his blood us and our children. How demonic. How incredibly demonic. How fickle the people are. Be careful of being a people pleaser because once you establish the pleasing of people, Chuck has a saying, if you strive to attain, you have to strive to maintain. It's a lot of work to be a politician, slapping backs and all that. So if you live to please the lord and the lord gives you favor with certain group of people, great. But, you know, a lot of pastors have what's called PR agents, the big pastors, public relations. Public relations is huge how the public views a big pastor, and they have to do damage control. If there's anybody gossiping or saying anything about their image, they've gotta do quick, just like a Hollywood person, just like a politician. Hey. We gotta get ahead of this. Hey. We gotta get this spin. We gotta move the narrative in a different direction because public opinion can destroy them. They can they can drop, you know you know, in a and it always amazes me, that a guy like Jimmy Swagger can get caught. And Robin Vickie's parents think he's the greatest thing ever, and he's back. You know, he's back. He he never went away. People still love him. You know? It blows my mind. He can. And they can be on TV, and they can be millionaires, even billionaires nowadays, these guys, these false prophets. Mind boggling to me. There's no consequences for being a false prophet. An awful big bible. He must have been really strong. Yeah. Then spoke the priests and the then spoke the priests and the prophets under the princes and all the people saying, this man is worthy to die for he has prophesied against this city as you have heard with your ears. So they're they're saying this is treason. He's a terrorist, and we need to censor the truth. We can't let the truth get out. You know? We gotta control the narrative. We gotta spin this. We gotta move this in a different direction. Then spoke Jeremiah and to all the princes and all the people saying, the lord sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard. So not just some of the words. He didn't diminish. He gave them all the words, all the message, everything. God sent me, God gave me his word, and I spoke God's word. I didn't speak man's word. I spoke God's word, and you wanna understand that. Speak God's word. Bring God's word. One of the things you'll notice in our sermons, our illustrations are from the bible. We stay with the bible. Every now and then, I'll venture out and give a little joke or a little thing here or there, but it's bible. It's bible. It's bible. It's bible. And I'm safe by staying with the bible. Amen. And I don't I don't need to quote the world and and Claus Schwab and Noah Yuval Harare. Every now and then you'll bring in a quote, but you'll bring in a quote to show their their hand, and then you use the word of God to counteract what they're saying so that people are wise to the truth. So they learn the truth. They learn you're you're taking the light and you're shining on the darkness to expose the darkness so that people that are getting sucked into that doctrines of demons that's out there, you're trying to set them free with the truth. So that's what we do. So he's staying with the word of God. Therefore now, amend, and this is found in Jeremiah seven, the word amend over and over and over again in that previous sermon. Amend your ways. Therefore now, amend your ways and your doings and obey the voice of the Lord your God, and the Lord will repent of the evil that he has pronounced against you. So again, you're getting it again. God forgives. God will forgive you. So what if Jeremiah were to give him second Chronicles seven fourteen right now? God promised there. That promise some pastors would say that's a promise for the Jews, for the nation of Israel, not for America. If my people It's called by my name. George has it. My if my people are called by my name, what? Themselves and pray. Pray? And that's about it. Take it. Turn. Turn. Make it turn can wait. I will forgive it. And third fourthly, seek my face. Right? Then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. That's for the nation of Israel. Right? If America did that, do you think we could apply that to America? Worth a worth a shot. Right? Worth a shot. So if a pastor ever tells me anybody ever tells me that's not for America, that's for Israel, where do I take them to show the heart of God? What? Seven fourteen. Seven fourteen? Yeah. What's that say? Oh, was that the verse we just quoted? No. That's second Chronicles seven fourteen. Okay. That one there. Okay. No. That they tell me I can't do that one. Oh, okay. They're real strong. They're real dogmatic. They know more than me. Where would I take them? Because I wanna show the heart of God. Did men should perish? He desires. How about I take them to book of Jonah? Oh, yeah. The the Ninevites. Ninevites are hated. Yeah. God god forgave them. Right? The message was forty days and you're gonna perish, and then Jonah went up there to watch them perish. And from the king on down, they repented. Right? They're pagans. Right? So we may not be as close as Israel. We might be like the Ninevites. They got a hundred year reprieve because they repented. The heart of god, he was looking for a way to sigh and relieve, not having to judge these men, women, and children. In Israel today, be very careful of siding with one group over the other. Do you understand? Yeah. Oh, definitely. I mean, they're both it's God loves. They both need Jesus. And and what I haven't heard in any of the narrative, and I pulled it up online to make sure that I'm accurate in this, I haven't heard any anybody say the fastest growing churches in Iran. Iran is the target. They're gonna get nailed. Right? And America's the target because we're going to globalism. But in this demonization of the Hamas and the babies killed and butchery and all this other stuff, there's people out there that God loves. Mhmm. But if the enemy can get us all to hate each other and get us to war and all that, and what? The Jews, the chosen people, only God loves the Jews? No. He loves the whole world. Right? He loved the Ninevites. Right? And so we as Americans, we aren't special. We aren't exceptional. God isn't an American. Alright? We need to repent. Any group of people that repents, God's gonna be merciful and gracious toward. Right? Mhmm. Mhmm. So I would say the ideology of Islam is evil, and there are evil people in every group and ethnic group all over the world. We understand that. But simply being a Jew doesn't make you a Christian. Doesn't make you a believer. You have rights to the land, and ultimately, God's gonna fulfill all those purposes, but they've been regathered in unbelief, the Jews. And don't think that they don't lie. Don't think that they aren't thinking in terms of globalism. They're not thinking in terms of coming to Jesus moment, the Jews. No. They're not. It's gonna take the tribulation period to break two thirds of them away, to purify the one third that comes through to come to a saving knowledge in Jesus Christ. Right? Okay. So don't get caught up in this this whole hate thing where nation rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom. And and I'm not sure yet. You guys can correct me on this. I'm I'm waiting for more info, and I'm gonna talk to Mark Dinsmore because I don't have time to track it down. But I had previously read that only one soldier had said that 250 Israeli babies were beheaded and butchered by Hamas. Just one soldier. One soldier said it. K? When Saddam Hussein was being demonized to justify war, they were saying that he was taking babies out of the incubator and, you know, doing horrible things to the babies in the incubator. Later, they found out that the nurses and the whole thing was scripted on television to demonize Saddam Hussein in Iraq. To sell you have to sell war to a group of people to get them to hate to go do war, and that was a bold faced lie. And so there's a whole lot of lying going on. Another lie is they didn't know they were coming. That's a bold faced lie. Yeah. They were told to stand down and wait to seek sympathy as victims, so to justify war now. And and the other thing, it's not just in the arena of Hamas and Gaza. It's bigger than. It's it's the globalist want this to burst to global war. Yep. But this is just the archduke Ferdinand being assassinated that begins to explode, you know, from there. Okay? That that's that's how these guys do this. So so when we see this, the nation of Israel, God's gonna deal with his own people in this way, whether it's Hamas or Iran or Russia, any single nation that turns their back upon God and doesn't come through Christ is facing judgment. Right? And if he's gonna do this to his own people, you know, if he did it to the angels that left their first estate, if he did it to Sodom and Gomorrah, if he did it to the Noahic age, the world, he destroyed it with a flood in their disobedience. What makes you think you get a free pass, America? You know I mean? And the other thing I wanna ask you this, I wanna ask you this, and this might be horrible. Please forgive me. Let's fixate on two hundred fifty babies beheaded. K? Horrible. Right? I'm not minimizing it. I'm asking questions. It's cold war. How many babies were aborted in that week by Jews, by Gentiles? How many babies are aborted every single day? And somehow, there's nothing wrong with that. Mhmm. Yeah. But in the arena, the theater of war creating war, we're gonna put everyone's attention to 250 babies. Do you know what hypocrites you are? Do you know what incredible hypocrites you are? When you're jabbing these children, the children are dying from the jabs all over the world and you're gonna fixate everybody and sell war? Like, oh, do you see what I'm saying? Mhmm. It's just hypocrisy. Unless it was one of my grandkids, it would be real for me, and it and it would be. It it is. These are these are real lives, real and we have the sympathy in that way, but not to the point of of, oh my god. This is the first time this has ever happened. You know? So, anyway, the way back is repentance. It's always repentance. Come to the truth. Come to repentance. These are things I'm definitely I'm grieving over and I'm agonizing over. I want to get at the truth. I wanna know the truth. I don't wanna be played. I don't wanna be played anymore by any governments. The message here to this government, to these people is repent. It's a simple message. They they it's it's not it's not difficult. And so God forgives, and he says, Lord will repent of the evil that he has pronounced against you. As for me, behold, I am in your hand. Do with me as seems good and right unto you. And so he's he's innocent. Mhmm. I'm innocent, and I'm trusting in God. And he's saying, you guys do whatever you wanna do, but then he is gonna go on to defend himself. Pastor Chuck always says, let the Lord defend you. Paul gave a defense. Paul said, is this legal to whoop on a Roman citizen? I think it's okay to have a defense. I think it's okay to flee. I think it's okay to run to Montana if that's what God's putting on your heart. Get out of here. If you think your family's gonna be safer there, go for it. As for me, my house, I know I'm supposed to stay here. That's all I know. I can't impose upon you what you're supposed to do. But to just stand there and be a target, I don't necessarily think that's always the case. You know? I think every instance is different. And in this case, Jeremiah, he already knows what it is to be alone. He already knows he doesn't have anybody in this court, but at the end of this chapter, he finds out he has a friend. There's a friend here that goes back to the time earlier with his father and stuff. So you never know who might be your friend. And but in this case, he's not relying upon any man. He's given himself to the Lord. Lord, I offer myself to you as a living sacrifice. Do with me as you will, Lord. And we're reminded in Revelation 12, how did they overcome the beast? Three things. The blood of the lamb. Say it. How did they overcome the beast? By the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. One one more thing. Unto death. They love not their lives unto death. There it is. Jeremiah was already dead. K. You know what it is to be a coward? Yeah. I do. You're afraid. You're overwhelmed with fear. Yeah. K. There's a really, really good and and we we are living with cowardice right now. People are cowards. They're afraid to stand up, tell the truth, and live it for Jesus because someone might reject them. So so, anyway, there's a show that I watched years ago called Band of Brothers, military show. Mhmm. I don't know how true it was. I didn't serve. But check this out. There's a guy in there that is a coward, and he's paralyzed with fear. There's another guy in there that is exemplary soldier, run through run through the courtyard and be shooting the enemy and just amazing going from spot to spot to spot spot. And there's something he said that stuck with me ever since I saw it, and it's biblical. He said something to the effect I'm a paraphrase. The only reason you're afraid is because you're still alive. Soldiering is recognizing you're already dead. Amen. That's what it means to be a Christian. You're already dead. To be absent the body is to be present with the Lord. Once you get to that point, you let go, you don't fear any man, anybody, or anything. So a woman came up to me at the gym today and said, had a dream about you and you're gonna leave your wife, and we're gonna get no. She didn't say that. I had a dream about you. Don't they always do that? Don't they always do that? They always do that. Pretty old now. She's 31 years old. She's a police officer, sweet lady, And she comes up to me and says, can I talk to you? I I I I I it's okay. Go ahead. I had a dream about you. And what's that? I went into a I went into a room, and you were there, and you had a heart attack, and you were dying. And I'm like, right on. We asked them the bodies to be present with the Lord. To her, it was the end of the world. She was wanting to rescue me, want me immediately go to the doctor and see if there was, you know, the widowmaker in me. And I told her, I said, I work out. My heart's good. My numbers are good. I gotta my resting heart rate's in the forties. You know, my blood pressure's perfect. My, you know, my numbers are good. And but I don't know. There could be something hidden. Right? And I asked her, are you a Christian? And she's, well, I was channeling this. When I channel this stuff, I'm usually I'm usually correct. And and I said, well, that word channeling is kinda used with demons. I said, are you a Christian? Because maybe this is a I was trying to help her. Maybe this is a biblical gift you have. And I went through some of the gifts of discernment and dreams and and all that. And so I tried to help her, but my reaction to it was and then they started to ask me, when's the last time you went to the doctor? Another guy, a Christian guy asked me. Now I'm the old guy at the gym. Why are they picking on me? You know? And I said, I don't go to the doctor. You don't go to the doctor? And I'm like, why would I go to the doctor? They're just gonna give me something I don't want, you know, and do something I don't want. And so they're all just like, they can't believe that I'm almost 64. I don't know if I've got the widowmaker or not, but you're gonna probably get the widowmaker and die. I don't live like that. I live each day like, hey. I might be with the Lord. So I'm gonna die right on time. Amen. Right. Amen. God has a way for me to die. You know? And and I I applaud those that that got quadruple bypass, and they've been able to live longer and all that, and really good quality of energy and life and all that. I'm not trying to remember how I talk really weird about how if they're gonna nuke us, hit banger? I really am ready to go. Don't you wanna go? Yeah. I I don't fear death. So I wanna live. What I fear is being sickly and stuck in this body and unable to get out of it is what I fear. You know? So I I want whatever quality and I do day by day. Cathy and I are Matthew six. We take our day day by day, and we're not projecting out tomorrow because we don't know what tomorrow holds. So Mhmm. We're walking by faith, trust in the Lord. Jeremiah is walking by faith, trust in the Lord, and I don't think he's running around fearing about dying. You know? I think in a lot of ways, God did Moses a favor to say, Moses, you're gonna die. He did God did Moses a favor. Look at the people Moses was leaving, murmuring, complaining, wanting to go back to Egypt and all that. And God says, Moses, you're you're you're not going in the promised land with these people. And so we see Moses on the Mount Of Transfiguration. Right? What a great place to be. Right? Wouldn't you rather be there? So get it get it through your head that there's no guarantee that if the Lord decides to take you home through martyrdom and you've done your job and he says, alright. Now I'm gonna let these people kill you, then you remember of, you know, how did they overcome the antichrist that was killing all these these tribulation saints and all. Right? The blood of the lamb? The devil can't do nothing about the blood of the lamb. Blood of the lamb has washed away all my sins. There's no condemnation. Right? The accuser of the brethren in Revelation 12, he's cast down to the earth. He can't accuse me anymore before God. Right? He's a liar. Cause there's no condemnation. The blood's washed away all my sins. Right? Amen. And then the word of my testimony. Yeah. You know? I'm his witness. I'm his martyr. We overcome him because we're gonna testify of Jesus. Right? The testimony of Jesus, spirit of prophecy, and they love not their lives unto death. Everyone's talking about loving self today. That's the problem. Mhmm. Mhmm. Love not yourself unto death. Be dead already. Amen. Do you got it? And then you're really living. Jesus said it this way, except a man lose his life, he won't find his life. Whosoever seeks to save his life is gonna lose it. What what's he mean by that? You seek to save your life, you're gonna lose it. You're not gonna enter into the spiritual life because you're living for self. But if you lose your life, if it's no longer you living, but Christ living through you, you found your life. It's him living through you. Do you see? Amen. You're crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, you live. Alright. So here we go. Death is the men, all their lifetime fear death. We as Christian, we don't fear death because of the resurrection. Right? Amen. I mean, I've lived a good life. I got my grandkids. I told them yesterday, I said, you know, honeys, we're driving home and I got the two oldest ones and had a wonderful day with the grandkids, went out to eat, and then I got two oldest ones with Kathy and I, we're running errands with them. And when you're with them, they start to say things, you know, they start to talk if you let them. And as we're heading toward home, I said, you know, I think your grandma and I have lived here at your house for eight years now. And I thought when I moved here, I'd only lived here about six months. I thought it's just short term. And I said, I I don't know how it lasted eight years. And then I stopped there. I've been meditating, thinking about that. Then when we're walking up the motor home, I said to Kathy, maybe it's just so I could be close to them. That's it. Because this is a blast. There's nothing better than being close to them. You know? Because if I lived even 20 miles away, I might only see them, what, once a week, once every two weeks. You know? But I get to see them, you know, almost every day. So to me, the Lord gives me the best. He gives me the if you go with the flow, there's a lot of good things in it. Amen. Lot of good things. Amen. So therefore so so again, that's dying. I had to die to self. Right? I had to die to what we want. But the Lord says, I got something better. If you're open to it, I got something better. Really, Lord? Really? You got something better? Yeah. I got something better. I I think I got something you're really gonna like. Really? Okay. Let's do it. Verse 14, as for me, behold, I am in your hand. Do with me as seems good and right unto you. Really, I'm in the Lord's hands. Lord, I'm in your hand. Lord, your will be done, not my will, but thy will be done. We pray like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Lord, if you're willing, remove this cup from me, but nevertheless, not as I will, but thy will be done. Lord, I'm yours. Lord, I'm yours to do with as you please. Whatever you want. Right? Whatever you want, Lord. But know for certain that if you put me to death, you shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves and upon this city and upon its inhabitants for a truth the Lord has sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears. There we go again. All these words. All these words. All these words. And I can hear the people shouting, crucify him. Crucify him. Let his blood be upon us. Jeremiah is, like, trying to threaten him. The blood will be upon you. He won't really care about that. That's a that's a that's a funny one. This is a mob mentality. They don't they don't care. Then said the prince princes and all the people and the priests and the prophets, so the force false peace. Right? This man is not worthy to die. Oh, support. For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God. And I remember Pilate saying, why? What evil has he done? He's innocent. I find no fault in him. Pilate's just trying any way he can to get the people to reason that this guy's innocent. Jesus is innocent. In chapter 34, Jeremiah is talking about the destruction again in the time of king Zedekiah, what's gonna happen to him, eyes be plucked out, all that. And then in chapter thirty seven fifteen, everybody's angry at Jeremiah again. They wanna kill him. Verse 17, then rose up certain of the elders of the land and spoke to all the assembly of the people saying, Micah, the Moorsite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, seventy years earlier, and he's gonna quote Micah three verse 12. This was written about a hundred years before this time or seventy years or later. And of Judah and spoke all the people of Judah saying, thus saith the lord, the host of Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountains of the house like the high places of the forest. So look at this. This is seventy years earlier. Jeremiah is given a similar warning, and it's getting closer and closer to the time when the Babylonians are gonna do it. Look at the time they've had to repent. God sent Micah the prophet to warn them seventy years earlier of what was gonna happen if they didn't if they didn't stop. Did Hezekiah, the king of Judah, and all of Judah put him all to death? Did he not fear the lord? And now Hezekiah was a believer. He feared the lord. He's a good king. So Jeremiah gave a true message, a message that is not a popular message with the four p's, but in that instance, Hezekiah decided not to put him to death. Did he not fear the Lord and besought the Lord, and the Lord repented of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls. So God didn't bring that judgment upon Hezekiah during his time, and so basically, this would be kinda like David when David had the chance to kill king Saul. You remember? Saul came into the cave at Gedi, and David's in there, and Saul came in to relieve himself, and David had a knife in his hand, and he could have killed Saul, but he went away from there with the truth of you don't touch the Lord's anointing. You let the Lord remove king Saul. Right? And so and the Lord did eventually, but David wasn't gonna take it into his own hands. He's gonna leave it up to the Lord. And so there was also a man so here's the you got the pro and the con, the positive, the negative, the yin and the yang. You got an instance of when the prophet Micah wasn't killed. So some other guys that still wanna kill Jeremiah, they bring in another instance historically of a prophet named Urijah that did get killed. Oh, boy. You can't win. So there's also a man who prophesied in the name of the Lord, Uriah, the son of Shemaiah of Kiriath Jearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah. And and and when Jehoiachim, the king, with all of his mighty men and all the princes heard his words, the king sought to put him to death. But when Uriah heard, he was afraid, and he fled and went into Egypt. And Jehoiakim, the king, sent men into Egypt named El Nathan, the son of Ekbor, and certain men with him into Egypt, and they extradited him. They brought him back. And they fetched Uriah out of Egypt and brought him unto Joachim the king who slew him with a sword and cast his dead body into the burial place of the common people. So Jeremiah spared, this guy's martyred, and nevertheless, the name of Ahikim, the son of Shaphan, was with Jeremiah that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death. Alright. Turn to Hebrews eleven thirty six. This is one you'll hear me talk about every now and then. It's one that struck me. No formulas, gang. So by faith by faith by faith by by faith By faith, Abraham. By faith, Isaac. He verse what? By faith, Isaac, verse 20. By faith, Jacob, verse 21. By faith, Joseph, verse 22. By faith, Moses. By faith, Joshua, the walls of Jericho came down. By faith, Rahab, she didn't perish. And what shall I more say for the world for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and of Barak and of Samson, of Jephthah, of David, and of Samuel, who through faith subdued kingdoms. They wrought righteousness. They obtained promises. They stopped the mouth of lions, Daniel. They quenched the violence of fire. They quenched the edge of the sword. Out of weakness were made strong and became valiant and turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead to raise to life again. Those are the guys I wanna be. Don't you wanna be those guys? They're the victors. They're the conquerors. They're the ones that face adversity, and they won. Everybody wants to be the winner. God didn't make me a Christian celebrity. God didn't say, Rick, you get to be one of the guys in the Bless Me Club. Didn't make me a martyr. Didn't make it terrible, you know, like a lot of people. But I'm a part of the others over here. Women received their death raised to life again, and then notice it says in others. So you got two different Greek words for others. You have others of the same kind, heteros. So all the way through by faith, by faith, by faith, by faith is the others of the same kind. Those are the conquerors, the Abrahams, Isaac, the Jacobs, the Gideons, the Jephthah, the Samsons, the Davids, the Daniels. You know? Were they were in jeopardy, and god helped them to prevail. The lion's mouth was shut. You know what I mean? And then you have and others like Isaiah. Isaiah was sown in two. Others of a different kind. Notice what it says. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection. So in the resurrection, they might have greater reward. Right? A better resurrection. You gotta wait till you get there. And others, again, others of a different kind had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yay moreover bonds and imprisonment. They were stoned. Stephen was stoned. They were sawn asunder. That's Isaiah. The prophet Isaiah was sawn asunder by Manasseh who was the son of king Hezekiah. Hezekiah who had a disease and he went and he prayed and he wept and the lord gave him 15. And on those fifteen more years, he had a son named Manasseh. Manasseh ruled and reigned for fifty five years. Manasseh sacrificed his own son to Baal. He was the most wicked king the nation of Israel ever had, and he sawed Isaiah in half. And guess what? Manasseh got saved. Yep. Right? Isaiah 35. My fact checker over there checked it out when I first told her about that. She couldn't believe it. It's true. Did Ted Bundy get saved? Did Jeffrey Dahmer get saved? Yeah. I heard J. D. Frog say he did. Really? And Ted Bundy met with Dobson. He got saved in prison. So anybody can get saved. Manassah got saved. And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings and may over bond imprisonments. They were stoned. They were sawn asunder. They were tested. They were slain with a sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins being destined, afflicted, tormented. That's pretty brutal, isn't it? Of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and in mountains and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all having received witness through faith received not the promise. God having provided some better thing for us that they without us should not be made perfect. And so a whole lot of people suffered before Jesus came. We received Jesus. We have Jesus to help us get through all these things. Right? And here with Jeremiah, when we go back here, we'll finish up. It says, nevertheless, the hand of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, was with Jeremiah that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death. And so in second Kings twenty two three through 13 in the time of Josiah, there's a guy named Shaphan, the secretary who was able to get the book, the word of God, and to read the word of God in the in on behalf of Josiah and causes revival to break forth. So Ahaikam, the son of Shafen. So Shafen was earlier, and then this is the son of him who was a who was a, you know, a godly man and and like Jeremiah and and spoke on his behalf and intervened on his behalf, and that's all it took. So can we do one more thing? I got a verse I gotta show you. Turn to Deuteronomy chapter 13. Vicky thinks she's already heard everything I have to teach. She reads she reads other books while I'm teaching now. So Enough. Every now and then I have to throw something in that that she hasn't heard from me. She's gonna study about Moses with those boys of his. I know that. Do pastors repeat their stuff after you've been around me a couple years? Yeah. Do I just repeat myself? Have you heard all my jokes? Pastor Chuck, we used to hear his a lot. Alright. Deuteronomy chapter 13. Now we're talking about prophets, false prophets. Jeremiah is a prophet. A lot of false prophets going on. The devil's gonna be a false prophet. Right? False Christ and the and the false prophet, and he's gonna do deceive the people with many signs and lying wonders. Now Satan needs permission from God to do those things, but God will allow Satan to do certain miracles and things to test the hearts of people to see where their hearts are. So we need to stay with the word of God. The the slight that the Lord had against his own people is that they were following false gods. They were getting into Baalism, Nazareth, and and false religious systems. So it was spiritual adultery. They were turning away from the Lord. And the false prophets, they need to there's an enamoration. People are enamored with witchcraft right now Mhmm. Sorcery, and and because they're looking for the power. They're looking for some power. And they're looking at the church today as being anemic and powerless. And I would agree with them in the powerless in the apostate church, this false church is powerless to transform and change people's lives. But I believe there's always a remnant of people who are looking for the Lord to move and work by the power of his spirit, and he and he's not done with us. The Lord has us here for a reason. He says, if there rise among you a prophet so I think in terms of YouTube prophets, all these YouTube prophets and dreamers, different people, or a dreamer of dreams. Lo and behold, I'm teaching on this verse today. I I was I was helping my friend at the gym, Jason, with this passage. I had him read it, and within thirty minutes, that girl came over and told me she had a dream. She just got to the gym. What what's the devil doing? What what's going on? Mhmm. Mhmm. So and the sign of the wonder come to pass where have he spoke unto thee saying, let us go after other gods which thou has not known and let us serve them. So a Mormon comes along. A Jehovah's Witness comes along. A Muslim comes along, and they want you to leave Christianity. They want you to follow you know, say Allah Akbar, you know, and thou shall not harden unto the words of the prophet or of that dreamer of dreams. So you're gonna have the antichrist, and you're gonna have a whole kind of new religious system, but it's not new. It's Babylonian. It's from Babylon in Genesis ten and eleven. It's returned to Babylon, and and it's gonna be Luciferian, and it's gonna be very occultic and a lot of sorcery, a lot of drugs involved to try and induce people to trances and different things they see and dream and and and all that. And so God's gonna allow some lying signs and wonders to test people to see what they're gonna do. So thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams for the Lord your God test you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul. So he says, a sign or a wonder come to pass. Notice verse two. So they have a sign and wonder. It's not just their doctrine, but they actually do some sort of let's say they pray for you and pray for your kid to heal him, and your kid gets healed. Now they want you to become a Mormon or a Muslim, wants you to leave your belief system, wanna leave your God. God says he's testing you. He's testing you to see if you love him or not. You see that? See how powerful that is? Because so much of the reasoning today is it worked. I saw it. Well, we don't deny that the devil is allowed at times and witches and all these people allowed at times to deceive, and some of what they do might even quote unquote be real, but it's demonic. Amen. It's demonic real. You don't wanna get on the side of demonic real. Right? You wanna be on the biblical side. Yeah. And if God allows it, Satan doesn't have that power unless God allows that power, and God's saying, I'm allowing it for him to do these lion signs and wonders because he's just an angel, but I'm allowing him to do it to show people where their hearts are, to test them, to see if they love me for me rather than just the loaves and the fishes. Right? No. Whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, ye shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice and ye shall serve him and cleave unto him and that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death because he has spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God. So the the most egregious sin that God has toward the prophets is those who are bringing doctrines of demons and fables and false doctrine into the churches to try and turn people away from the true living God. It's very serious. So you and I wanna be those who have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but expose them, shine the light upon the air and try and keep people following Jesus regardless of what kind of woo woo woo, you know, their chiropractor did for him or somebody, you know, did some sort of a new age kind of an occultic kind of a thing. And one thing about corruption, one thing about deception, be not deceived, is if you know the truth, if you know the truth giver, truth incarnate, if you know Jesus and you spend your life getting to know him, it's very difficult for the enemy to deceive you because you know the genuine, you know the real, and you can spot a counterfeit a mile away. Right? But if you don't know him very well, then you're very, very vulnerable to be deceived by COVID and all this other stuff they're doing, all the psyops, all the stuff going on. And we live in a time of great, great deception. So be not deceived. Amen. Alright. Let's pray. So, Lord, we lift up all those who are sick, and you know them all by name. I'll forget all their names, but Lord, we just pray that you would just heal each one. They're getting better and better and better. We love them, Lord. You're the great physician. And, Lord, we pray that you would edify, build us up, strengthen us. Help us, Lord, to fall more in love with you and your word. Help us to walk consistent, Lord. Just fulfill the plan and purpose you have for each of us. And then corporately, collectively, as a as a plural church, the body of Christ, I pray that we as a body of believers would simply be who you've called us to be collectively as a church, the ecclesia, those that are called out. That, Lord, we don't have to try and be like any other church, any other group, just simply be fulfill the function that you've brought us together for, Lord. Let us glorify you. Lord, I pray that you're well pleased. I pray that people come to know you, that people fall more in love with you, and I pray the love that you put in our hearts would be just Lord, it would be irresistible, an irresistible love for people as they come in contact with us, as you love them through us, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Wow. We did it.
