Welcome back to Be Not Deceived. I am so happy that we get to have another episode with, my special guests. I have pastor Rick Baudry here that is Calvary Chapel Bremerton's pastor and, I have Mark Dinsmore once again and I thank you so much gentlemen for joining me today. The topic that I would like to look at is salvation and what does salvation mean and what does the bible say about leading us into all truth and why is truth so important? And in our day and age today truth is a very difficult thing to find because we're looking at AI, we're looking at, generated, truths that are coming, through deceptive means. Even, people can even say that someone could put somebody's face on something and they could verbally say something and that wasn't them at all. Truth is very important and God holds truth as important, because he's the one who wrote the Bible. He's the one who established these words and these truths. And I want to look at is salvation and what is the gospel and why is truth important. And to walk down that balanced path, I think is something that we really need to look at. You can go to the right in the ditch and you can go to the left in the ditch. But I believe the Lord wants us to walk down the middle. We live in a time when it's hard to tell what's real and what's not. Deepfakes are everywhere, fooling our eyes, tricking our ears, and reshaping reality. They amaze us, entertain us, and sometimes even put us at risk. What does salvation mean? Salvation is deliverance and healing. Yeah. So in three tenses in the past tense we've been delivered from the past penalty of sin. There's now therefore no condemnation of those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. In the present tense as a Christian sin shall not have dominion over me. So we have we're delivered from the power of sin that enslaved us. So and then in the future tense I would tie in Philippians one verse six being confident this very thing that he that has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. So in the future tense I'm going to be delivered from the very presence of sin. So I'm I can be in Romans seven the things I do want to do I don't do the things I don't want to do I do But if I yield to the Holy Spirit Romans chapter eight and if I go in Galatians chapter five if I walk in the spirit I don't fulfill the lust of the flesh. So I have the power, have the ability with the help of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin, to be an overcomer. Which means it doesn't mean I reach a place of sinless perfection as long as I'm in this body but it does mean that I'm getting victory over the world the flesh and the devil. Sin is not dominating my life anymore. And I have an advocate with the Father Jesus I can pray to that helps me with the help the Holy Spirit to help me overcome sin. If I choose to sin that's transgression. If I choose to go back into bondage I can. The devil has to get permission. I have to give the devil permission to go back in that bondage. Whereas before I was a slave to my old fallen nature and I was a slave to the lies and the deception and the power of the wicked one. Not anymore. I've been delivered. Amen. And the gospel like John three sixteen tells us how to be saved, how to be born again. And it's really important that we surrender ourselves unto the Lord. If the Lord has given us the moment of revelation in his word or someone shares the gospel it is a powerful moment and it's God ordained and it's in the Lord tells us he draws our heart to himself and then it's our will that says yes we have a decision to make. And that is called the gospel right? Yeah and I would have Mark or you read Romans one sixteen and seventeen. Paul's theme is the gospel, the book of Romans. And he right there gives you his theme right there. And one sixteen and seventeen describes the power of God unto salvation. Very good. Yeah. Yeah. We'll have Mark read that if if you would like to do that. It says I'm not ashamed of the gospel. Right? Yeah. And the gospel is important. It is what God calls us to do. So we start with what is the gospel after Mark describes this. What is the gospel? Yeah. Romans one sixteen and seventeen. For I'm not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, but the righteous man shall live by faith. That's it. That's his theme. And he goes to spend that book describing from the doctrinal standpoint. He spends eight chapters describing the gospel. And then he takes a little what we talked about previously. Chapter nine, ten, 11, he deals with Israel. Mhmm. Mhmm. And he their past election, present rejection, future restoration. And then in chapter 12, he starts with the application. Mhmm. So we have the gospel. What's that mean? Well then he says, chapter 12, let's see here, I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto him which is your reasonable service. So he's beseeching them, alright you got the gospel, you're saved, your response should be that you present yourself as a living sacrifice. What kind of living sacrifice? Holy and acceptable unto him. Right. And then he says which is it's reasonable. It's your reasonable and that word service is worship. So your life should be a life of worship in Revelation four where the four and twenty elders lay down their their crowns. Your life should be an expression of worship ascribing worth unto him. You're so grateful that he saved you that your life would be used for him for his kingdom and glory. And then he goes on to say and be not conformed. Conformity speaks of being pressed in the pattern of the world. Yeah. The Christian has three enemies. The world, the flesh, and the devil. So love not the world. Come out from among them. Be separate. Right? But many of us as Christians are worldly Christians allowing the world to pattern us. We Christianize the world. We try to Christianize everything in the world does. So be not conformed to this world but be transformed. And the gospel is the only means of transformation. Transhumanism, machines, technology, all of that. But God says I've given you the good news that when a person comes to Christ and they surrender their life unto him, confessing their need of him, and believing that he was crucified, buried, raised from the dead, coming again, that faith is imputed to them for righteousness. There's a work of sanctification. There's a work of the Holy Spirit transforming that person who's By the renewing no longer of your mind. Yeah. No longer body and soul, but body, soul, and spirit. So there's an internal change in the heart where you're in fellowship with God again. And in that fellowship with God, there's an ongoing work of sanctification of making you holy changing you from glory to glory in the image of Christ. So be not conformed this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. So you take every thought captive. You take everything back to the word of God. Whether it's truth, like you said truth, or error. And we can prove what God's will is for our life based upon the word of God. So in second Peter we read in second Peter chapter one verse three according as the divine power is given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue. So here's what happens people say the Gospel is inadequate. I'm a Christian but I'm still a raging alcoholic. I'm still this I need to go to recovery. I need to get some help from the world. The Gospel is just not powerful enough. Well Paul says it has the power of God unto salvation. Everyone that believes. And then he talks about be not conformed this will be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is a good and acceptable and perfect will of God. It's not inadequate. Peter says he's given you everything you need for life and godliness and then, he tells you here, Paul tells you in Colossians, beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy. What's philosophy, Mark? What's that? Wisdom of man. Wisdom of man. Wisdom of man. Your own ideas. So. Wisdom. Does the church reach a point where Jesus isn't enough. I need Jesus and something. The gospel isn't enough. I need the gospel and something. Do the technocrats. Do the doctors. Do the psychiatrists have something new that can transform and change a person? No. Not truly. They're playing God. Yeah. Peter Thiel was just saying playing that. God. They're trying to figure out how to transform and change a person with technology now. Before that it was therapy and pharmaceuticals. Right. It doesn't work. It's proven it doesn't work. So beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit and the tradition of men. After the, what's the word? Rudiments of the world and not after Christ. Rudiments speaks of it's a base it's lower. It's a lower form of truth. There may be some truth in it about behavioral patterns of people. Yeah. Through psychology right? Yeah. They're studying man behavioral The rudiments of the world. But they don't have the power to change. Exactly. To change my behavior. And so, and not after Christ for in him, in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete. Are you incomplete? No, he says, you are complete. Complete. In him. Who is the head of all principalities and powers. So, it's he's ahead of all the demons, all the angels, all the everybody. Yeah. You're complete in him. So, Paul summarized his whole life. One statement. Philippians three ten. That I might know. Getting to know Jesus. And how do you get to know Jesus? How do you get to know him? Open the word. Repent. Yeah. Psychology is not going to get me to know him. Yeah. Peter Thiel and the technocrats aren't going get me to know him. How do I get to know him? He understands to a degree that Christians, Orthodox Christians believe that the transformation comes from within through what the teaching of the bible says. But he wants to take it to the next level and include AI and some kind of robotic interaction to change even further. There's no combination of it's basically an idea of an antichrist because the antichrist wants to be like God. So if I can be like God I can transform people too but through technology. I mean that's just to me that was just craziness. How many real Christians do you think Peter Thiel has met? He's looking at Christians and he's saying philosophically your gospel describes a change from within. Yeah. But how many people has he really met who have been changed from within. If I were to look at the church today I'd say you're still the same wretch you were before you even joined that church. What happened? Where's the power? Where's the transformation? Yeah we need to be transformed. Do you need Peter Thiel's help? We're going to help you transform you. We're going to change the way you think. We're going to bring a chip into your head, Neuralink and the whole thing. Help you out. And an operating system within you to help you to finally change. Because they know that's the solution. Our hearts wicked. He mentioned the word depravity, how depraved the world is, how stagnant the world is. He's really looking for a new gospel, which has set the stage for the antichrist Yeah. To bring that new gospel. Right? That that false gospel. Right? Similar. Yeah. Lights, signs, and wonders. But, different. All in the name of science mostly so called. Right. So We were looking at second Timothy, and I was gonna start at 14. And where it says, keep reminding God's people of these things. Warn them before before God against quarreling about words. It is of no value and only ruins those who listen. Do do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Those are the profane and idle babblings. Yeah. So it's very important that we correctly handle the word of truth. So that means that balance I was talking about, the balance in going down the middle of the road instead of going to the right or to the left. It could be not including some of the Bible, prophecy, including deciding just to not include it because I don't want to or I don't understand it or I'm not willing to take the time out to study it of prophecy. Now prophecy is 27% of the Bible so you're willfully not rightly dividing or correctly handling the word of truth on this end. You can go the other way and fall into this ditch on the right too. People can be easily deceived. Does God say that he holds truth valuable? Well he does. He says right there what we just read. You'll know the truth and truth will set you free. Amen. Jesus said. What is truth? What truth? So what did Jesus say? What is truth? I'm the way the truth and life don't make no father but by me. You're in standing right in front of incarnate truth. Right? And he didn't get it. So we need to make sure that we include revelation because we were just talking earlier what does revelation say of the promise that he gives us when we read it. So should we avoid the book of Revelation or misinterpret it or be confused? Well he doesn't want us to be confused. He didn't write it to confuse you. The devil's thee. So verse three says in chapter one blessed is he that reads. So you can be in a church where the pastor refuses to teach a book of Revelation. He said oh it's too hard to understand. Hard to understand. Too divisive. Yeah. But you as a Christian blessed is he that readeth and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it for the time is at hand. So there's a built in blessing for people that read and hear And if I was if I am a pastor but if a pastor in a church I would want on a regular basis to quote from the book of Revelation because it covers the whole Bible and to teach the book of Revelation encourage people to keep studying the book of Revelation because of the blessing. Yeah. Because now you're going to get excited about the soon return of Jesus Christ. You're not going to be negative about the end of the world. Doom and gloom. You're going be afraid. It's not doom and gloom. You're going be excited that your children are soon going to be in heaven and protected from this evil wicked world. Yeah. Right? So it's not doom and gloom. It's not Jesus isn't killjoy gonna steal the life that you envision whatever. In fact the Bible says to love not the world. Any of the things that are in the world. All that's in the world. The lust of the flesh. Lust of life and the pride of life is not of the father but the world and the world perish and the lust thereof. But he that doeth the will of God will abide forever. So lust of flesh. Lust of the eye and the pride of life. It's in the garden. Eve's looking at it and there's a tree to make you wise. A tree that to be desired you know. So the devil's going to entice you with the things of the world. To try and get you off track. You won't surely die. But Jesus said, fear not little flock, it's your father's good privilege to give you the kingdom. He's preparing a kingdom for us. And he tells the truth even though the devil was saying to Eve, God's lying. He can bring in the bodies through lies. Your show, be not deceived. We have the truth to keep us from being deceived. There's no accident that two of the most attacked books in all of scripture are Genesis and Revelation. As doctor Henry Morris used to say, Genesis is the foundation. Revelation is the capstone. Yeah. So one is the beginning of our faith and all of God's plan for earth and humanity and salvation, past, present, future. Revelation is the, culmination. It's the capstone. And so your faith's incomplete. If you ignore prophecy, if you throw it out the window, or if you twist it or take away from it or add to it, then you have destroyed what God has has given us. Yeah. Yeah. So when, when we think about the Old Testament and we think about the New Testament, a lot of people say that there's two different covenants going on. But what do you say about the New Covenant and Old Testament covenant? The Old Covenant the intention of it was to stop every mouth. So the law. Law. Stop it six thirteen precepts in the Old Testament law. And the law was to expose who God is. The people would know his standard who he is. And the intention of the law was to bring people to Christ, to back them in a corner. Paul said in Galatians that it was a pedagogue, a tutor, to hold men to the point in time till finally Christ comes, till they finally see in this first advent and reveals who the father is. A greater revelation. So, Romans one, Paul says, men are without excuse simply from god revealing himself through creation. God also reveals himself through his word in the Old Testament. 300 prophecies are fulfilled when Jesus comes in his first coming. Yep. So that's revealing the Old Testament. He's revealing himself all through the the Old Testament but in the New the covenant is is Jesus fulfilled. It is finished to tell us what's finished. The fulfillment of the old covenant. He's perfect. Yeah. Yeah. And so this the plan of redemption that God describes in the old is fulfilled in the new. And in the new in the Sermon on the Mount he makes it real clear don't don't ever think that the old covenant's bad. Right. The covenant's good and the law is holy and good. And James talks about it. Guy if there was a verse if there was a verse that could save everybody God would have given that verse but it's impossible because we can't keep it. Right. We can't keep it. So the weakness of the law if you will is us. We can't keep it. Yeah. So God sends his son to fulfill the law to fulfill all the demands of the law because God's holy and God has to punish sin. And then salvation is a gift. It's not a keeping of the law it's a gift by grace through faith alone. We appropriate that free gift by faith by placing our trust and dependence upon Jesus that he fulfilled. That he's the standard and that every mouth is stopped. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death. That's what we deserve but the gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. So God commended his love towards us and that we were yet sinners Christ died for the ungodly his demonstration. And then whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. So, what must I do to be saved? Those who been jailer. They said, believe. Yeah. So, what is belief? What is faith? Faith is what? I'm turning from my sin at conversion as I'm converted. I'm turning from my sin which is repentance and I'm crying out to Jesus God be merciful to me a sinner. So simultaneously I'm repenting and I'm being converted at the same moment. So we don't have to clean ourselves up before we come to Christ because we can't present ourselves so dirty and so nasty before a holy god. You you if you could then your righteous is filthy rags. Isaiah says, you know, and god does say in Isaiah one, come now though your sins be a scarlet, be white as snow though to be red like crimson to be white as wool And he also in Isaiah says come now let us reason together. I just I just quoted that. Yeah. But Yeah. So he's he's wanting us to reason. He's wanting us to come and reason. And the answer that comes back is like the Pharisee and the publican, the publican said, Woe and Samad has lift up his eyes to heaven but smites his breast and God be merciful to me a So my mouth stopped. There's no way I can approach a just and a holy God in and of myself. And it leaves me as the pedagogue, the tutor, it leaves me with my back into a corner. The only way out is Jesus Christ. The new covenant. The new covenant. There's no other way out. No halfway, no grading on the curve, no partial. I think I'm getting almost there. So can I clean the now that we have the new covenant can I clean the earth up for Jesus? Can I help him out by spreading the gospel and getting politicians and and and the world ready and clean enough for Christ's return? Let Mark handle that. Make America holy again? Yeah. Make it holy again. Do something. Plus COVID. Right. Well, attempts to legislate morality have failed because the heart of man is desperately wicked. Who can know it? Mhmm. And God knows it. God sees it. And so, no, it's impossible for us to Christianize the nation. Neither did America have a covenant with God in the first place. We were a nation at one time composed of many Christians, different faiths, different or different sects of Christianity, but the scriptures indicate that the the nature of the last days is going to be apostasy. Right? Wide is the gate that leads to destruction, and many there go in. Narrow is the gate that leads to life, and few there will find it. So, we're in a in a period of time as we approach the end of the age of the Gentiles, as we were discussing earlier that, Jesus himself said, when the son of man returns, will he find faith on the earth? It's kind of a rhetorical question. It's and so here today, we have many, professing Christians who have not confessed their sins. Instead, they have heaped to themselves teachers who tickle their ears, tell them what they wanna hear. And because you have to have a false gospel, right, that tells people they can have their best life now. Mhmm. How to have it today. You know, Benny Hinnon once said, I don't care about the golden heaven. I wanna have my gold now. Right here on Earth. Right here on Earth. And, boy, those would be terrible words to regret someday. Jesus said, in Matthew chapter seven, he said, many will come to me in that day, at the day when, we'll all be judged or receive reward. He said, many will come to me in that day and say, Lord, Lord, did we not do all these things in your name? We cast out demons. We fed the poor. We healed the sick. And he'll say, depart from me, you workers of iniquity. I never knew you. I never knew you. And so they they had an outward appearance, right, of good people doing good things. Just like today, there are many organizations. There are many churches doing good things, but that's not the path. We we can't get to heaven by doing good works. Right? It's not a balance of, well, I did more good than bad. Right? You know, Paul said, salvation is by faith, by grace through faith, not of works lest any man should boast. And, the the path of salvation hasn't changed. We see in Hebrews chapter 11, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction, and the evidence of things not seen. And so, but yet when we, it's such an awesome chapter. This is called the faith hall of fame. It's kind of the nickname given to this passage, and we see without faith in verse six, it's impossible to please him. For he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. And so by faith, Noah. Right? And then by faith, Sarah, and by faith, Enoch, by faith, Abel. So I encourage everyone watching to read Hebrews chapter 11. Yeah. Right? And it contains a beautiful promise, and it describes these saints of old as we were discussing in a previous program. So the this the road to salvation is by faith, and so these saints of old, were saved by faith just as we are saved by faith today just as the saints in the millennial, or the the tribulation saints will be saved by faith. Mhmm. And I love this verse, and this is so applicable to our nation today and the situation we find ourselves where we have rampant apostasy, those departing from the faith. They're not enduring sound doctrine. Right? And they're attacking those who are trying to teach and maintain sound doctrine. That's the falling away. And so in verse 13, Hebrews 11, it says, these all died in the faith without receiving the promise, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. So the earth's not our home. Right? Yeah. Our citizenship is in heaven. And so they said for those who say such things, make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. So a lot of people today wanna be expats. They wanna leave America and start again, right, because we lost, the the freedoms that we enjoyed at the founding. And, as we record on, July 4 today, Independence Day for Americans, you know, if we do lament the things that have been lost and the things that are being taken away. But the we we know that that salvation can never be taken away, right, for those who who apprehend that. And so we seek a country as well. And it says, and indeed, if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had an opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country. Right? We desire a better country. We want a better country, and it's not America. It's not making America great again or making Israel great again. Right? Mhmm. We desire a better country that is a heavenly one. God therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God for he has prepared a city for them. And so praise God. We have, his promise, his prophetic word, right, that, explains to us that, we need to have a light lighter grip on the things of this earth as the the old favorite hymn says, turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full on his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. Amen. And so we need to understand and apprehend that promise and, know where we're going. Yeah. Where our home is. Amen. Yeah. That's good. I I really, so so we were you said a little bit about prophecy in the Bible and I have a lot of people saying that in my world that Why do we emphasize so much about prophecy? Why is that so important? It should just be the gospel. We just Why keep your focus as believers and stop worrying so much about prophecy because it doesn't really it's not our emphasis. Our emphasis should be the gospel the gospel only. That's good enough. Is that pleasing to the Lord? Is that okay? Or did he put prophecy in there just like an afterthought? Is that something that as believers we don't need to think about? And if we are thinking about it, overthinking it. We're emphasizing it too much. Why would people have that thought? Well, as pastor Rick, shared a moment ago, the the Bible is over one fourth prophecy, by some count, about 27%. And, so prophecy fulfilled prophecy is not only proof, it's proof of divine authorship, and it's proof that God exists. And so if we discount prophecy, then we discount then we undermine the credibility of scripture, and therefore, we undermine the foundation of our faith. And it would require us to ignore one in four verses. Right? 25% of the word of God is prophecy. And as pastor Rick said, over 300 prophecies fulfilled about Jesus Christ alone in the Old Testament. And, again, the the odds of that are so astronomical. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it, I've been I've heard it compared to covering the state of Texas. I think it was two feet deep in silver dollars and, painting one of them red and finding, that coin on your first draw blindfolded. Though that's the impossible. Right? Yeah. That's the odds of just eight just eight prophecies being fulfilled, of Christ. So a prophecy is extremely important. There's no other religious writing. Since there's only one sacred book, it's the word of God. There's no other religious writing, neither the Koran nor the Hindu Vedas, that contains prophecy. Only, the word of God contains, prophecy that foretells the scripture. God said, I alone tell the end from the beginning. Right? And so, that's why we can have such confidence in the word of God because of the prophecies over half the prophecies in scripture. It's not quite 2,000, somewhere 1,900 by by one scholars major. So, over half of those have been fulfilled. So we have, yet we have prophecy. So the the fact that prophecy has been fulfilled gives us assurance that the prophecies ahead will also be fulfilled. Amen. Right? 100 fulfilled in the past. There's gotta be a 100% fulfillment in the future. Right? Because how do we tell a false prophet? Well, if the thing that they declare does not come to pass, we can ignore them. Yes. Can disregard them. 100%. So the fact that, God's word is true, shows us divine authorship, and it shows us that we can trust it and that there's no other footing that we should be on except the word of God. Amen. Amen. So I would say both. If somebody's gonna try and be simplistic enough to say, hey. Just stick with the gospel. Just stay with the gospel. I'd say, well, that's a little simplistic. We're told in Matthew 28 that Jesus said go into all the world and preach the gospel or go out and make disciples of all nations. Teach them to observe all things that I commanded you alone with you always even the end of the age. So he's being prophetic to the end of the age. And so the great commission is go make disciples. Disciples are learners. In Mark's gospel chapter 16 go and preach the gospel to every creature. So you preach to the unbeliever and then you teach the believer. So go and make disciples. The objective is not just to get them saved. Yes. Salvation only saved. And then no study, no prophecy, no nothing. Know just keep them in the No emphasis on discipleship. So make a disciple. Disciple is a learner. So now you want to take them through the scripture. If the Lord Jesus Including Daniel? Well if Peter do love me feed my sheep. Yeah. So what did Peter have to feed the sheep with? He had the Old Testament. There you go. New Testament wasn't written yet. Yeah. The apostle Paul when he's in Ephesus in chapter 20 of the book of Acts. He says in the space of three years, night and day, I gave you the full council of god. What was the full council of god? The Old Testament. Old Testament. All the prophecies, right? Yeah. Giving them the hope of the second coming of Jesus. So, the gospel in Jesus Christ and him crucified for for the remission of sins. That's the gospel. His death, his burial, his resurrection, and his second coming. Yeah. Amen. If you leave out the second coming, you're not preaching the gospel. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Because our hope is that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great god and savior Jesus Christ. So, a proof text in sharing the gospel with people, we use prophecy as the more sure word of prophecy. So, second Peter one, we have also a more sure word of prophecy with which you do well that you take heed as unto a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star rise in your heart. So you can use prophecy just as the Lord used prophecy in my life with Pastor Chuck to help my faith grow deeper. Right. And so I heard the gospel. I was transformed and changed. Mhmm. But then they began to teach me the prophetic picture of the soon return of Christ. Rapture of the church and all my roots are growing deeper right and my eyes came off of the world and the world system and I began to look as Paul told Timothy excuse me the church of Philippi he says in chapter three he says, Brethren be followers together of me and mark them who walk even as you have us for an example. So look for the example of people mimicking you know the Apostle Paul as a leader. For many walk of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ whose end is destruction whose God is their appetite and whose glory is in their shame who mind earthly things. So what happens is people don't want prophecy because they want the earth. They want earthly things. They want the things of the world. Then he goes on to say for our citizenship is in heaven. So what does that mean guys? What does that mean? Yeah. You know, Trumper Trumpers, whatever the the millennium usher in the kingdom, the new age, the kingdom now, dominion theology, all that. No, our citizenship is in heaven. Yeah. And as Mark was reading in Hebrews, Abraham and Sarah looking for a city's builder maker is god. Yeah. They walked as pilgrims and sojourners. They they didn't belong here. You know, they're strangers and pilgrims. For our citizenship is in heaven from which we also look for the savior, the lord Jesus Christ. Are you looking? Jesus said when you see these things begin to come to pass and look up for your redemption draws nigh. Are you looking? Are you looking for the soon return? Are you watching? Are you ready? Who shall change our lowly body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body according to the working of which he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. And so what time is it? Well exactly and Jesus why would Jesus say this Let not your heart be troubled. Do you believe in God believe also in me. My father's house are many mansions. Words so I tell you. I go to prepare a place for you. So don't talk about that. That's not the gospel. Don't talk about that. Yeah. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go to prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also. Don't talk about that. Don't talk about that. Just stay with the gospel. Just stay with the gospel, man. Right. Right. Jesus. He wasn't sticking with the gospel. He's doing that. And so, Matthew 25 the 10 virgins five wise five foolish. Those that have oil have the Holy Spirit. Yeah. And so the marriage the Jewish marriage picture. So first you have the betrothal right? First stage betrothal or engagement period. Mary and Joseph they're engaged. We have the earnest of the Holy Spirit as a Christian. In Ephesians chapter one we have the Holy Spirit with the engagement ring. So I'm marked out I belong to the Lord. And in that redemption he's already paid for my sins but he hasn't come for the purchased possession right? So the dowry that he would pay is his own blood right? He's given the dowry to the father. Hey I own these. I bought them. So now the second stage is the fetching. The fetching in the Jewish picture. So you got the 25, Matthew 25, the 10 virgins. Those with the Holy Spirit are the ones truly saved. And what's part of what happens internally nobody has to tell me, I'm looking for the groom. I've got the gown. I'm ready. I'm looking. You don't need to keep haranging me with prophecy. I love prophecy. I love learning that the coming of the lord is pretty quick, right? Yeah. It's not doom and gloom. Now, the five foolish. They're busy with the world. Yeah. They're busy with the things of the world and they're not ready. Yeah. They've heard. They're part of the club that they don't have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within them and so then, the next part of it is the fetching. That's the rapture. Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you. The next stage is the third stage which is heaven for the marriage ceremony. That's where the bride of Christ is during the tribulation period. And then the fourth stage is the coming for the marriage supper of the lamb in Revelation chapter 19. Jude tells us he comes with 10,000 thousands of his saints. So we're there. We're at the Bema Seat Judgment. We're being crowned and we're given all of our gifts and everything. We come in Revelation 19 with clean white unspotted unblemished gowns and we're coming back. And guess what? The devil as we're talking on the previous thing is so insane that he's going to use the Antichrist, the beast, the false prophet, and the armies of the world to try and stop Jesus from returning. Because the devil knows the Bible. And not only does he hate the nation of Israel because if he can wipe out Israel he can wipe out the return of Christ and set up his kingdom right. Exactly. So he's always been antagonistic to Israel antagonistic against the word of God antagonistic against prophecy and he has the audacity to think that he can stop Jesus from returning. Right? Well, he knows his end too. Right. And he doesn't want that. The only way that we have the golden age, the kingdom age, the messianic age is with war. Psalm two, oh how the heathen rage imagine if anything gets lord, it gets anointed. God laughs at the plans of men to try and set up their kingdom on earth without Christ. Yeah. Without Jesus Christ. Yep. And he laughs at it. So, there is no sharing the gospel, transforming changing everybody on the planet so that then Jesus will come back and we hand the kingdom off to him. No. There's an apostasy. There's a great falling away. Yeah. There's a church that's filthy. A false church. The professors in with the possessors, and the possessors those that are truly saved are going to be raptured. The possessors, I mean the professors, are going to be found out in that away from me I never knew you that practice iniquity. And they're going to enter into the tribulation period and many of them are going to refuse salvation by many of them are going to receive the mark of the beast, I believe. Many of the apostate church, those that have fallen away are going to take the easiest way out and receive the mark of the beast and be proven that they never really did believe. And those that do believe are going to refuse the mark of the beast. But this apostasy that's taking place lends itself toward in second Thessalonians two for the beast system to emerge. So yes we're salt and light. We're staving off the purification of the planet as Christians to a certain degree. The Holy Spirit working through the church. But a professing church that apostasizes then the salt no longer has its savor and it's good for nothing but to be trodden under the foot of men. So now what you see is a professing church through Paula White and the other false prophetesses and all merging with government to try and usher in something the Bible doesn't teach. A golden age, a false millennium. Great Again. Pardon me? Great Again. Great Again. Dominion Theology, they call it Kingdom Now Theology. The NAR is a part of it. False peace, false peace, false everything. And it's pie in the sky. They're promising something they can't deliver. And where the Bible teaches eschatology the exact opposite in that the church apostasizes. Yeah. The church falls away. A departure from the truth. Yeah. And and a rebellion against god. So, the classic cases, the church of Laodicea in Revelation chapter three, Jesus is kicked out of his church. He's knocking on the door and the church, that professing church of Laodicea is neither hot nor cold. They're lukewarm. They're in love with the world. We're rich. We're increased with goods. We're in need of nothing. And that's what's blinded them their true condition. They're naked, poor, blind, and miserable. What do they lack? They lack fellowship with Jesus. They don't need Jesus anymore. Because they have the success of Church Incorporated. Mhmm. And they're going to bring in the second coming of Christ because they're going to clean the world up with their false gospel. Cruise ship Christianity. Cruise ship Christianity. Yeah. Or smorgasbord Christianity. Yeah. Wow. So that's that's that's what's in actuality what's happening. And so it's not your best life now so that you can usher in Christ return. It's a false gospel. It's a false gospel of peace, prosperity. And it's serious. The coming whole of God. A serious revelation of our world today. Yeah. And it's all about love, right? It's just just preach love. Yeah, why? I've heard a lot of different different sermons or podcasts and things that say why that it's wrong for pastors to talk about how other churches are not spot on with the Bible. That if they're saved, you should just leave them alone. Salvation is the only thing we should be worried about. What they do other than that is not important. What's Ephesians five eleven say? I don't know. Mark likes to quote evil men and seduces shall work worse and worse. So how do you identify wolves in the church if they're not exposed? So Ephesians five eleven says have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them. Reprove. We're told to earnestly contend for the faith. We're to prove all things. Hold fast that which is good. We're always being infiltrated with error. Paul's letters, many of his error, his letters are addressing the Judaizers and the false prophets, the wolves that were creeping into the church. Yeah. And polluting and corrupting the church. So, he even says, I fear for you church of Corinth, you know, I've I've I've betrothed you as a chaste virgin under Christ but I fear that as the serpent beguiled Eve so the seduction would come that you would believe a different Jesus. Yeah. A different gospel and a different spirit. Wow. Don't do it. So pastors, shepherds have to protect the flock that they've been entrusted to and expose the wolves. You've got to expose and call them Wolves don't like to be exposed. Wolves don't like to be exposed. They love the darkness. So and they have teeth too. They're going to Yeah. They and the people love it so in Jeremiah's time. They stay with them and so you're going to be a lone dude. You're going be hated if you have a ministry of exposing lies by teaching the truth. Right. Yeah. Now, you can also water down the gospel. You can also make the gospel more palatable for the unbeliever when you take out the word sin. Mhmm. So if you're in the seeker sensitive movement over the last thirty years. Mhmm. You just want numbers and the way to get numbers is to not call people to repentance for instance. Not call sin sin. So adultery is not adultery anymore and fornication is not fornication anymore. It's a person having an affair. Yeah. Right? And you're watering down the word of God. Or just feeding him milk. Yeah. Well, milk, milk, no meat. Yeah and then the so and then the next one is there's no hell. There's no judgement. Nobody's nope. Nobody's going to hell. God's a god of love. And God's not against same sex marriage because he's a God of love and love wins. So now you have this slippery slope. Yep. Where you want the world to like you. Get the world into the church. And now you're afraid of offending the world. Well guess what? The cross is offensive. John the Baptist lost his head because he exposed. Herod taking his brother Philip's wife. And then Luke. Herodius and lost his head. Lost his head because he had the audacity to tell the truth. And Jesus, you know what is truth Pilate's there? And are you a king? Yeah to this end came I forth to bear witness of the truth. Know truth is important. So Jesus is executed because he's a threat to the Jews because they accused him of blasphemy. He's a threat to the Romans because he claimed to be a king. And so they couldn't the charges the Jews tried to bring was that of treason. Know because form of capital punishment was stoning. They didn't have the right of capital punishment so they brought him to the place fulfillment of prophecy of Psalm 22 that he would be crucified in Isaiah fifty two and fifty three that he'd be crucified. A description of crucifixion. And it was the Romans that were going to do the crucifying of him. Is it true that dispensationalism comes from Darby? Is that something that is where that kind of began? So tell your audience who's Darby. 1870 Right there, what's that? Yeah. Yeah. McDonald and Darby. So, what what that that argument's an argument of gross ignorance and so if we look at the teaching of the rapture, that's what you're referring to. The teaching of the rapture comes straight from Jesus. I already quoted it. John fourteen one through three, right? And Jesus is quoting the rapture. Apostle Paul is quoting the rapture. Mark alluded to it earlier. It's a Latin word repteris. The Greek is harpazo where you'll be caught away. First Thessalonians four fifteen through 16. And so and it again, it occurs to a church in Thessalonica. It's only been a church for three weeks. So young believers can handle prophecy, right? True. Right? So you have the doctrine of the pre tribulation rapture taught all through the first few centuries of the church. Now what these guys don't understand, in church history in 03/13 Constantine institutionalized the church. In the first two hundred years of the church church fathers and the Bible is teaching a preacher a rapture. That's the understanding of the eschatology. But in 03/13, Constantine nationalizes the church. The church is filled with tons of Catholics, unbelievers, right? Governmental people emerging into the church and the state. Then we went into what's called the Dark Ages. Now in the Dark Ages Elijah have 7,000 that haven't bowed their knee to the prophet Baal. You still have the Waldenses and you have those with the Received Text, the Byzantine Text, over 5,000 extant manuscripts of the underground church that still believes. But in this Dark Ages the Catholics took dominance over the most of the people and didn't teach the Bible. They began with church dogma. So that's the point of Martin Luther coming along with the Reformation. So the Reformation, the truth that was lost was the truth of salvation is not by paying somebody to get them out of purgatory. It's not paying for indulgences. It's not paying money working your way to heaven. No. For this priest and this lawyer Martin Luther his thesis on the Wittenberg door is the just shall live by faith. That's what was revolutionary. Justification by grace through faith alone. Okay? So that's what he took from Romans chapter one, right? We studied that. Now, he did great there but he and Augustine and others didn't do well in regard to eschatology. So much so that they began to present a replacement theology. That's where it originated with Augustine. That the church has taken the place of the nation of Israel. Okay. So already there's a huge watering down. But this rediscovery of the truth of dispensational pre millennial dispensation. Now in the book of Ephesians the word dispensation is found in the book of Ephesians. Okay so it's not a word that Darby came up. Dispensations simply means an administration or an epoch or period of time the way God will deal with the people during a period of time. We're in what's called the church age. That's pre millennial dispensationalism. That means the millennium hasn't happened yet. We're not So in somebody might say, Hey it's all mill. We're already in the millennium. There is no millennium. Or you know or post mill. We're going to go later after the tribulation. We're pre mill. Pre mill, pre trib, pre mill. The tribulation hasn't happened yet. The millennium hasn't happened yet. We're in the church age. So in the eighteen hundred's Darby is a rediscovering the pre trib rapture right. And they don't like the Schofield Bible. He's writing the Schofield Bible. And then they have Margaret something who is a witch or something supposedly. Sarah. Whatever. Yeah. And supposedly she came up with this pre trib rapture thingy or whatever. So people try to refute and say you know hey that's that's where they got it from. No they're ignorant of church history. They're ignorant and they're ignorant of the Bible because the Bible teaches it. That's all I need. Now after that you begin with a rediscovery of that doctrine just as Martin Luther rediscovered salvation, the Joshua by faith. Now you have a proliferation of people who are studying eschatology. The Bible begins to open up to a whole lot more people who are not encumbered by the Catholicism, keeping everybody dummy down. Now there are people breaking out Dallas Theological Seminary, Hal Lindsey's book Late Great Planet Earth. But even before them there are men of God and women who are studying eschatology and it's a renaissance or rebirth of this truth that was hid. And so today the people that are tired of hearing Left Behind series and Late Great Planet Earth and all that, they become a fulfillment of two Peter chapter three, Where's the Promise of His Coming? The other one is they call it escapism. Well, I want to escape the wrath of god. I like the escape. Yeah. The wrath of god and Jesus said, Jesus said, pray always that you'd be kind of worthy to escape these things. So, you know what? I want to escape em and then in Revelation three ten there's a group, you know, a church that will escape these things. And so that's the escapism. Now here's my challenge to anybody that doesn't believe in a pre trib rapture and wants to revert over to Darby and that whole lie. That doesn't disprove the pre trib rapture. That's all you got? Is that all you got? Yeah. So and then the other ignorance is the word rapture isn't even in the Bible. Well in the Latin Vulgate it is. You know, Harpazo in the Greek caught up in the English. So here's my challenge. Take the Bible and prove your mid or post rapture. You can't do it. Or or or yeah you can't do it and you can't you can't even do a pre wrath rapture where they try to go in Revelation chapter six and they say that it doesn't happen till down verse 17 that the tribulation period starts with you know, the wrath of the lamb. The opening of the seals. I've got people right now that are saying the seals are already opening. Well, why is that wrong? Because in Revelation chapter five, who is worthy to open the scroll and loose the Only Jesus. Yeah. So the wrath of man, the four horses, the horsemen, the apocalypse, it hasn't happened yet. It's not going to happen until the first seal is open. Yeah. And that's the beginning of the tribulation period is the signing of the peace treaty is the beginning. But chapter six in the book of Revelation is the start of the tribulation period. Not down to verse 17 where it talks about the wrath of the lamb as a distinction of the wrath of men. They think the wrath of men is already happening in chapter six. So they think who who do they think is opening the seals? May the devil? Exactly. Exactly. Who's opening them? Who's who's doing this? So. Who? Anyway that's that's that's their discrepancy of the timing and, in the book of Revelation because remember, we now when they say they can't do this book of Revelation, it drives us crazy, doesn't it? It drives me crazy. So they say they can't teach it, but God's given us an outline. And in this outline, he says in Revelation chapter one, John, he says, write the things which thou hast seen, the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. Yeah. So write the things which are in the outline the things which are is chapter one. So he saw a vision of the resurrected Christ right? Write the things or excuse me which you have things that's the past. Write the things which are which is the church age. So that goes from chapter two and three. The church age is the seven churches. Yeah. Seven churches. Mhmm. And then you get and then write the things which shall be hereafter which is Meditate after these things. After what things? After the church So now we get to chapter four and we're done with the church age. In chapter four, after this I looked and behold the door was opened unto heaven. And the first voice that I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me which said come up here and I will show thee things which shall be again hereafter. Future. I'm going show you the future John. And I immediately was in the spirit like a time machine guy say and behold a throne was set in heaven and one sat upon the throne and he that sat was looked on upon like Jasper and Sardis and so he describes the Lord he describes heaven and the church is there the church is in chapter four the four and twenty elders representing the church. Chapter five we have the church there also in heaven and John's able to see the lamb that had been slain before the foundation of earth with all the the scars and everything on him and who's worthy to open the scroll loose the seals. Now chapter six all the way to 19 you don't hear anymore about the church. Nope. Church is Not not there. But chapter six starts the opening of the scrolls because chapter five who's worthy to open and to loose the seals excuse me not scrolls but loose the seals. And then these guys tried to go down to for the great day of the wrath is coming who shall be able to stand down in verse 17 they say oh well that's a that's a pre wrath rapture. So the wrath doesn't happen until verse 17. So we believe in a pre wrath rapture and so we agree with you we're not subject under first Thessalonians five verse nine. The church isn't subject under the wrath of God. So you got all these different things going on and but it's much easier to just see the way the Lord has divided it out from chapter six to unto 19. In '19 is the second coming of Christ. The war of Armageddon. Everybody's wiped out. And then in chapter 20 is the millennium and the great white throne judgment. Chapter twenty one and twenty two is the eternal state. So it's a real nice outline that the Lord lays out for us there. Sequential order real simple, easy. And then when you study this book you do go back to the book of Daniel, do go to Zechariah, you do go through the Old Testament to understand what he's alluding to here. Yeah. And anybody can teach it. Anybody can understand it. It's glorious. It's fun. It's great. And so again my challenge to any of the post tribute guides is you never prove it. You always cite Darby, McDonald's. The straw man. Yeah, straw man argument, but you never say this is why I believe it's post trib and prove it with the Bible. Yeah. Right? I love that. Yeah. Have you ever heard of anyone? Not articulately. They they you have to do it with allegory and spiritualization and Right. A misrepresentation of history Right. To say it all occurred in '87. Right. Yeah. And the pre wrath thing is from this guy named Rosenthal in the eighty's and it's totally disproven. I mean it just doesn't work. And the easiest way, it's kind of like when they did the Blood Red Minutes. They don't read verses surrounding the point that they're trying to make on verse 17. All you gotta do is go into chapter five. Who's worthy to open the scroll and loose the seals? Men can't open those seals. No. The first four seals are saying men are opening. Men are opening them men are opening them. What are you talking about? Yeah. He's the only one. It's so simple. Yeah. But it says that but anyway, I don't close my body. Yeah, that's good. That's awesome. So that that's how I look at that argument and but you don't have you don't have anybody you can argue with. They're they're they're not students of the word. Right. It's so easy. Right. The word of God's right there. And we stay truth is on our side. Amen. Amen. And then like we began this conversation, we're we're we're in balance. We're keeping we're going down the the middle of the road, keeping with the truth of the Bible, keeping God's Word, the whole counsel of God's Word included and we're not excluding anything. It's just that simple. So when you say full council did Paul say just stay with the gospel. What's full council mean? What's it mean to be a watchman to be responsible for the blood of somebody in Ezekiel three thirty three. But Paul says I'm innocent because for the space of three years, night and day. Yeah. With tears. Yeah. I gave you the full council of god. What's he given him? Yeah. Is Is he just given him Jesus Christ and him crucified over and over again for three years? Yeah. No. He's given them a working knowledge of the scripture. Yeah. Yeah. So, that's what we talked about earlier when Paul told Timothy, study to show yourself approved unto god. Yeah. A workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, right? Amen. Graduate from milk to meat. Right. And and milk is great. We need milk. We need meat too. But the pastor needs to be called to be a pastor because Ephesians four said, he gave some apostles, some prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. Pastor, teachers are remember the great commissions go make disciples which means to teach people. So the pastor teacher is to feed the sheep as he told Peter you love me feed my sheep. Love and tend and feed my sheep. What is the content of the food that Jesus wants to be fed to his sheep. It's not psychology. Right. And it's not something that in the 2000s two thousand years later where they figured out something better than the Word of God. Because no because we went to second Peter one verse three. He's given us everything we need for life and godliness in this word. Amen. It's not inadequate. It's not. It's more than adequate. It's you can never exhaust the truth that's here and the power of the holy spirit transform and change lives. But in a dummy down church where people aren't being transformed and changed, they've got to bring in a false gospel. A prison a circus a sideshow. Sideshow. Clown show. And it's just it's so it's so shameful and embarrassing. So the next verse I would bring out is all scripture is given by inspiration of God. It's God breathed. Theos. Right. Yeah. Even by inspiration God and is profitable for doctrine. Why So did he give us the word of God? For doctrine? What is doctrine? That's the body of truth that you teach. Mhmm. Yeah. For instruction. For correction. For instruction righteous. That the man of God would be thoroughly furnished unto every good work. Right? Lack of So the pastor is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry in Ephesians four. How does he equip them? He feeds them. And as they feast on the word and they grow, now they discover their gifts. Now they have the power of the Holy Spirit. Now, they're able to share the gospel effectively and one of the key components of sharing the gospel is the hope that's in you which is the blessed hope which is prophecy. Amen. A more sure word of prophecy. Yeah. It's just like it's on it's turbocharged when you do that. Right. Because he's coming again. Yeah. Right? Yeah. You leave that out. You leave the second coming and the rapture, the blessed hope. What do you got? I mean. Right. Okay, great. They're saved but what are they, how they going to live now? How they going alright, they're safe but now they're a lukewarm Christian in love with the world, Right? Yeah. They've embraced the peace and the prosperity, and now they're one to to usher in the millennium by just it it's craziness. It's just crazy. They become tolerant and embrace the worldly things. Yeah. And you you quoted second Peter earlier, as scoffers come in the last days, walking according to their own lust saying, where is the promise of his coming? But verse five explains why. It says, for they willfully forget. They willfully forget, They ignore. Set aside that by the word of God, the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of water and then the water by which the world that then was existed perished being flooded with water. So that's the judgment of god Mhmm. Upon an ungodly rebellious world. A flood? The the flood. Right? Only saving eight, human souls Yeah. Right, aboard the ark. And you can't change the rainbow. No. And next is fire. That's love? Next judgment is fire. Exactly. Right? And so if you leave out the judgment to come, which is prophecy Yeah. Then because it's doom and gloom or it's too fearful Uncomfortable. Then you're not truly loving someone. If if you if you see there's a bridge out and the road they're on is gonna lead to destruction and eternal damnation, and you don't tell them, you don't stop and wave your hands. Yeah. And, you know, with your with your own body, then you are not loving them. Yeah. So. How how can you deny the the coming economic system going digital, tying in with Revelation thirteen sixteen through 18? Nobody be able buy or sell without a mark in the right hand or forward. Even unbelievers know all that stuff. Right. Why would you deny people in the church the understanding that hey we're getting close. Yeah. To the day of the Lord. We're we're seeing the they can They can judge the yeah the seasons, the weather. Yeah. But can you you judge the signs of the times? Don't we want them to be ready? Yeah, it's important. I mean, wouldn't have said that if he didn't think that was important. The Bible would not have that in him. In a one world government, the 10 toes, the 10 horns, 10 kings, the 10 crowns. I mean, it's coming. Technocrats, you know? Yep. It's there. That's Why the next would you wanna keep your head in the sand, you know, and not and not go there? And then the Abraham Accord, the one world religious system, you know? It's it's coming. It's coming. Yep. We're seeing the signs with the clouds. Those are just three. Yeah. Three of so many others. Yep. That's awesome. So great information and I thank you so much for for for leading us in the truth of the Bible and the truth is so important. Amen. Well, July 4. Thank you. July 4. Right?
